Carly: Gin.

Jax: [Sighs] You know, when Jason finds Michael and Kristina and brings them back, then we can discuss where Michael should live, huh?

Carly: Mmm. You don't want him here, do you?

Jax: No, I didn't say that.

Carly: But you just got all reasonable and--and rational, like you do when you disagree with me, so... I'm not gonna give up on this. I want Michael here with us.

Spinelli: "It is advisable to bring a small gift, perhaps flowers, when visiting the father of oneís intended. Engage in polite, respectful--"

Sonny: Busy?

Spinelli: Uh, Mr. Sir. Gracious greetings. Sir, I was-- I was absorbed in a discourse regarding proper etiquette to tal--

Sonny: I need you to, uh, get in touch with Jason, 'cause I need an update on Kristina and Michael.

Spinelli: Um, Stone Cold is unavailable at the moment. So if, um, Mr. Sir would be so kind as to leave the Jackal to his studies. I have much to learn in the ways of--

Sonny: Call Jason.

Sam: Jason, hi. Itís me again. Um, okay. Well, I hope you're getting these messages and you're on your way back from Cancun. I'm here. I'm--I'm at this motel where Kristina and Michael are staying. I know they're here, because there is a postcard. Itís half-written to Molly, which doesn't make any sense, because I don't know why Kristina would do this. The postmark would totally give her away. She knows better than--oh, you know what? I think I have an idea where they might have gone.

Michael: Uncle Jerry, what are you doin' here?

Kristina: We thought you were dead.

Jerry: The rumors of my demise were greatly exaggerated.

Thug: Shut up and hand over your wallets.

Jerry: You gentlemen would be well advised to leave immediately.

Thug: Not without your money.

Jerry: Heh heh heh.

Kristina: Michael!

Jerry: Oh, you know what? Trust me, amigo. Things will get really worse if you decide to stay.

[Mexican folk music playing]

Kristina: Michael!

Jerry: Hello, children. Haven't your parents told you that itís dangerous to go to foreign countries on your own? Huh?

Kristina: I can't believe you're here. How did you find us?

Jerry: Well, I'd love to explain a little more, but why don't we move to a more congenial spot to talk? Letís go.

Michael: You know, I could have handled those guys if it wa-wasn't for the knife.

Jerry: I'm sure. I'm sure. A-and your instinct to protect your sister was most admirable. I'm very proud of you. You know what? Itís really--ehh. I don't know. I think I've lost my wallet in the struggle. Now, you stay here. I'll be right back, okay?

Kristina: Thatís so weird that Jerry just showed up out of nowhere.

Michael: Yeah, itís a pretty wild coincidence, huh?

Jerry: [Humming a tune]

[Silenced gunshots]

Kristina: What was that?

Michael: Uh, a machine or something. Who knows? You know, we should probably get going. Probably, uh--

Jerry: Found it. Okay, can we go?

Carly: Okay. Okay. I win again. Whoo! So now itís time for you to take me upstairs and give me that massage you promised me.

Jax: Yeah, you know what? I--I don't think that, uh, a massage from me is gonna be exactly calming for you, so...

Carly: You can't do that. You can't back out on a bet.

Jax: Now, thereís no need to get cranky.

Carly: Are you kidding me?

Jax: We improvise right here on the couch. Look, I'll just come back...

Carly: Jax.

Jax: Here and give you a little massage. There, huh? Howís that?

Carly: That really feels good.

Jax: Yeah, well, I aim to please.

Carly: Yeah. You're also the master of avoidance, but my mind is made up about Michael.

Jax: You know, when Michael first came to live with us, uh, his anger and fits of rage were too much for you to handle. It was stressful, and then when he moved to Sonnyís and then the Quartermaines'...

Carly: Keep going.

Jax: It was, uh--it was also stressful for you, because you were worrying about him all the time.

Carly: Yeah, but before Michael ran away, we were really doing well, and I felt like I was-- I don't know. I was getting to know Michael the way he used to be.

Jax: I just don't want you to get your hopes up. Letís just see how Michael feels when he gets back and take it from there. Hmm?

Carly: Mmm, we'll see.

Spinelli: Stone Cold is so valiantly absorbed in his mission to rescue Mr. Sirís wayward offspring.

Sonny: Yeah, I know that. Thatís why I need to talk to him, Spinelli.

Spinelli: Well, unfortunately he hasn't reciprocated any of my communications, cyber or otherwise, which leads me to believe that A--heís got nothing to report, B--he'd be compromised if he did report, or C--he is facing some treacherous obstacle that he must deal with.

Sonny: D-does that mean heís busy?

Spinelli: Succinctly put.

Sonny: Okay.

Spinelli: I assume that Stone Cold would report the moment he has news, at which juncture I will inform Mr. Sir posthaste.

Sonny: Yeah, you do that.

Spinelli: All right.

Sonny: One more thing, Spinelli. Wh-when you ask a girlís hand in that convoluted mumbo jumbo you call talking, you know what may end up happening? You may get kicked to the curb.

Maxie: Mac? Hmm. I guess we're the first two here.

Lulu: Good. That'll give you some time to prepare.

Maxie: I don't cook. I was just supposed to bring pie.

Lulu: You gotta tell Mac that Spinelli thinks heís marrying you.

Maxie: Hmm. It could wait.

Lulu: No, it can't.

Maxie: Why would I wanna worry Mac about some proposal when Spinelli and I aren't even gonna actually get married?

Lulu: You accepted the ring.

Maxie: I didn't say yes.

Lulu: You told him you would think about it. That means yes to Spinelli. Heís already gone to the PCPD to ask Mac for your hand in marriage.

Maxie: Spinelliís probably up to his eyeballs providing tech support trying to locate Michael and Kristina, so heís probably not even thinking about it.

Lulu: Spinelli loves you. He wants to pledge his life to you. Itís sweet, actually.

Maxie: Why does marriage have to be some huge proof of love, anyway? Why can't 2 people just be together?

Lulu: Because this isn't 2 people. This is you and Spinelli, right? And he wants to marry you, and you can't stall this forever, so just tell Mac before this all hits the fan.

Man on P.A.: Dr. Julian...

Patrick: Okay, by the way, I got beer and wine for tonight, too.

Mac: Thanks, but if you wanna do me a favor, tell Robin to stop her amateur sleuthing.

Patrick: [Sighs] Yeah.

Robin: The elevator doors closed before I could get on.

Patrick: Well, what did you expect to happen? What, did you think you were just gonna hit her handbag and the murder weapon was gonna fall out? Or better yet, maybe she was just gonna confess to murdering her husbandís mistress?

Robin: For your information, people get very nervous on elevators, and they make verbal slips.

Patrick: Really, Robin? Andrea is way too cool of a customer for that.

Robin: I have an advantage. I know sheís the murderer, but she doesn't know that I know that.

Patrick: Okay, listen. Itís very sweet that you're trying to prove Alexis' innocence, but we need to leave this to professionals.

Robin: Wait a minute. A second ago, you had my back, and-- did my Uncle Mac say something to you?

Patrick: No. Mac didn't say anything to me.

Robin: Now you're lying to your wife. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Patrick: I'm not lying to you, but I know that Mac is worried about you, and so am I. Someone was murdered, and they would do it again to make sure that they didn't get caught.

Robin: Itís nice of you to be concerned.

Patrick: Robin, please, stop.

Robin: I can't. I can't let Alexis take the fall for something that she didn't do. Andrea Floyd is the killer, and I will prove that.

Morgan: Kristina made Claudia go off the road?

Molly: I heard my mom tell Diane.

Morgan: So thatís why she ran away with Michael.

Molly: I'm really glad they're okay.

Morgan: Yeah, well, Michaelís e-mail said we can't tell anyone, so you have to swear not to.

Molly: Why can't we tell?

Morgan: 'Cause Spinelli could trace the e-mail, and Michael and Kristina don't wanna be found.

Molly: But what if they never come home?

Morgan: They will.

Molly: But if Kristinaís afraid of going to jail--

[Knock on door]

Kiefer: Hey, Molly. Did you get any more work done on my admissions essay?

Molly: No. I'm too worried about my sister to write anything.

Kiefer: Yeah, well, I'm worried, too. Hey, Morgan, right?

Morgan: Right.

Kiefer: So, have you heard from k?

Morgan: Nah. Nothin'.

Kiefer: Yeah. You know, I still can't believe she'd just take off, you know, without a word to her family or me.

Morgan: Sheís with Michael.

Kiefer: Heh. Yeah, look, no offense to your brother, okay, but he just got out of a hospital, and I don't think he can really take care of K. Or himself, for that matter.

Sonny: My son could take care of himself just fine. Who are you?

Morgan: Heís Kiefer, Dad, Kristinaís boyfriend.

Maxie: So do you think Emmaís gonna be up in time for dinner?

Robin: I don't know. Sheís pretty zonked, and as much as I love my adorable daughter, it is much easier to not have her at the dinner table trying to keep her strapped into her highchair the entire time, so I hope Patrick is able to put her down for a nap.

Maxie: Hey, Lulu, could you take this to the kitchen?

Lulu: I'm not your servant.

Maxie: Uh, and maybe pour us a glass of wine.

Robin: Okay. Whatís goin' on?

Maxie: Okay, so Spinelli asked me to marry him, and I couldn't give him an answer, but I took the ring, so he kinda, sorta thinks that we're engaged, and he already tried to ask Mac once for my hand in marriage, and I'm really worried heís gonna do it again, which, as you know, would be disastrous.

Robin: Do you want to marry Spinelli?

Maxie: No, but itís nothing personal.

Robin: Heh. Excuse me?

Maxie: Well, I'm--I'm madly in love with Spinelli. I'm just not a big believer in marriage. You know that. So the question is how do I keep Mac from having a nuclear meltdown without breaking Spinelliís heart?

Robin: Easy. Do nothing.

Jax: Here we go. Juice and apple slices. Mmm.

Carly: You know what? Could you pour some chocolate all over them? Mmm.

Jax: Knew you were gonna say that. Because you've been so good...

Carly: [Gasps] Ohh!

Jax: There you go.

Carly: I love you. Those are so perfect. You know what? These were Michaelís favorite.

Jax: [Sighs] You know Michael thinks itís his fault that you ended up in the hospital with both you and the baby at risk. He also knows how hard it will be on everyone if heís found guilty. So in a misguided way, leaving Port Charles was an act of love for his family. He loves you and Morgan so much, he'd do anything for you, even run away.

Carly: Thank you. Thanks for finding something positive in all this.

Jax: Well, you know I think when Michael comes back, he'll be stronger and wiser.

Carly: You're a really great stepfather.

Jax: Thanks.

[Doorbell rings]

Carly: Ahh! Oh ho ho.

Jax: Huhh! Aw... oh, hey.

Olivia: Hey.

Jax: Come in.

Olivia: I'm sorry to disturb you. I got, uh...

Jax: Itís okay.

Olivia: Hotel papers for you to sign.

Jax: Oh, I'll take a look at that in my study. I'll be right back.

Carly: Okay. Hey.

Olivia: Hey. How you doin'?

Carly: Better than you.

Olivia: Oh. Am I that obvious?

Carly: Yeah. Whatís bothering you?

Olivia: Uh, well, may you never have this problem.

Carly: Heh. Try me.

Olivia: My son just found out that I'm sleepin' with a guy his own age.

Carly: [Mouths word]

Dominic: Business a little slow these days?

Spinelli: The Jackalís heart dwells on weightier matters. What brings the audacious one to our office?

Dominic: Bernie said I should talk to you.

Spinelli: My doors are always open to any referral from the Bernificent one. Elaborate.

Dominic: Thereís a Zacchara drug shipment landing. I want the location of the guy in charge, but all I have is the cell phone number.

Spinelli: Well, the solution is elementary. We call that number from an untraceable line. You stall while the Jackal obtains the location of the cell phone via G.P.S. tracking.

Dominic: All right. Letís do it.

Spinelli: Postponement would be preferable.

Dominic: No, no, no. I--I need this now.

Spinelli: Well, alas, I've been hit by a wave of melancholy, so...

Dominic: Oh. I get it. You're, uh, stalling because you can't really do what you said you were gonna do.

Spinelli: You dare cast aspersions on the Jackalís cyberskills?

Kiefer: Good to meet you, Mr. Corinthos.

Sonny: Kiefer.

Kiefer: Bauer, sir. I go to Madison Prep with Kristina.

Sonny: Oh, you're--you're the one who got in a fight with my son at the country club. Is that right?

Kiefer: Uh, yeah, we got--

Sonny: Is that right?

Kiefer: We had a misunderstanding.

Sonny: Yeah?

Kiefer: Yeah. Um, I--I heard Mr. Howell came down pretty hard on Michael. I'm--I'm sorry about that.

Sonny: I'm sure you are.

Kiefer: Hey, uh, I--I know Kristina and Michael ran away.

Sonny: And you came to pump her little sister for information?

Kiefer: No. No, I was just actually hoping to talk to Kristina, convince her to come home.

Sonny: Well, sheís in good hands with Michael, and if--when she comes home, I'll tell her you came by, and, uh, she'll call you, or she won't.

Kiefer: Thanks.

Sonny: All right.

Kiefer: Appreciate it.

Sonny: Great. Great. How--how serious is this boyfriend thing?

Molly: Kristina really likes Kiefer. Heís cool.

Sonny: Yeah?

Molly: And heís a senior.

Sonny: Whereís your mother?

Molly: At the office. But Violaís here.

Sonny: Oh, no. I don't wanna-- I don't want Viola--uh, I don't think they'd contact her. Have they contacted any of you?

Molly and Morgan: No.

Sonny: Okay. Listen. I don't want any of you to worry about this, okay? 'Cause, uh, Jason and Sam are gonna bring Kristina and Michael home.

Jerry: Here you go. So I phoned the taxi. It'll be here soon.

Kristina: Should we call the police about the muggers?

Jerry: Oh, no, no. Why waste time? I mean, these 2 thugs are long gone, I can assure you.

Michael: So, what are you doin' in Veracruz?

Jerry: Well, I'm, uh, here on business, actually.

Michael: You're not lookin' for us?

Jerry: Not at all. It was blind providence that I happened upon this alley. I mean--are you on holiday with your parents?

Michael: Um...

Jerry: Oh, I see. Evidently not.

Michael: Itís complicated.

Jerry: Yes. Well, most things are. Well, as you know, I'm not extremely popular with either your father or the minions of law enforcement, and I have no desire to be in touch with them, so, uh, if you have any secrets to tell, you can be assured that I will keep them.

Robin: Okay, so letís assume that Spinelli does ask Uncle Mac for your hand in marriage. What do you think he'll do?

Maxie: Completely freak out and arrest Spinelli.

Robin: Letís assume he just does what he normally does.

Maxie: Uh, okay. He would tell me that I deserve better, forbid me from marrying Spinelli, and then try to ship me off to Switzerland.

Robin: Exactly.

Maxie: Okay, I'm trying to keep Mac from freaking out here.

Robin: Hold on a second. Think it through.

Maxie: I won't be the one turning Spinelli down. Mac will.

Robin: Mm-hmm.

Maxie: So I don't have to break Spinelliís heart. Mac can do that, and then I can tell Spinelli that I'm sorry and I love him more than anything, but I could never go against Macís wishes, a-and we could still be together. We just wouldn't be able to get married.

Robin: See? Sometimes a solution is right in front of you.

Maxie: I love that plan. I-itís brilliant.

Robin: Okay, but you might have to give the ring back.

Maxie: One step at a time. You're a genius.

Robin: I know.

Maxie: So you'll tell Mac about the engagement at dinner?

Robin: Me?

Spinelli: Once contact has been achieved, I shall tap into the G.P.S. signal.

Dominic: And what, I just keep this guy talkin'?

Spinelli: I shall gesture thusly when the location has been pinpointed.

Dominic: I don't know. I'm kinda shy. My mom always used to say, "Dom, speak up. What are you so tongue-tied for?"

Spinelli: You seem exceedingly loquacious to me.

Dominic: Itís ringin'. Uh, is this Mr. Bastedo? Mr. Bastedo, I'm calling from a-a-a-a pest control. You called us regarding the opossum infestation in your basement. Oh, but, uh, y-you called, uh, requiring immediate assistance. Uh, are you telling me the opossums are gone? Okay. Very well, sir. We'll see you tomorrow. Thanks.

Spinelli: Most skillfully done.

Dominic: Hey, back at ya, Jackal. You're as good as they say.

Spinelli: Perhaps I should remain in this sphere of aptitude and leave romance to the poets.

Dominic: Are you talkin' about that hot blonde that came down the stairs at Jasonís that morning?

Spinelli: Really, I don't need to hear your ruminations on the hotness of the very angel I wish to join in Holy Matrimony.

Dominic: Are you gonna marry that babe? Heh. That kinda sucks for the rest of us you takin' her off the market and all, but congratulations.

Spinelli: Well, Maximistaís not exactly graced the Jackal with a positive response to my proposal, but she--she has accepted my ring and professed her deep love for me, so...

Dominic: Well, there you go. You're halfway there.

Spinelli: Yeah, I just--I-- I feel--fear her hesitation is due to my failure to visit the proud patriarch and ask for her hand in marriage.

Dominic: I don't--oh, you wanna ask her dadís permission.

Spinelli: Right, but heís been vehemently opposed to our love, so I--I fear all is lost.

Dominic: Well, you're not gonna give up, are you?

Spinelli: Never. Maximista is my soul mate.

Dominic: Well, you know, don't tell me. Tell her. Tell her dad. Tell him you, uh, love his daughter and you're gonna devote your entire life to her, assuming you will.

Spinelli: Without question.

Dominic: Then go for it. Take it from someone who knows. You can talk your way into anything if you want it bad enough.

Carly: Well, you know, maybe your sonís more upset about what Johnny does than how old he is.

Olivia: No. No. Tha-that--Dante doesn't even know who Johnny is. He just found out I was dating a younger man, and he just blew sky high. And I just keep thinkin' maybe--maybe I shouldn't keep knockin' my head against a wall with this thing. Maybe I need to find a guy my own age.

Carly: Someone your son approves of.

Olivia: Well, Danteís my baby. You know? Heís the most important person in my life.

Carly: Heh heh. I remember when Jax and I started dating. Michael waged all-out war against us. He even locked me and Sonny in a basement trying to get us back together.

Olivia: Heh. Resourceful kid.

Carly: Stubborn kid.

Olivia: Hmm. How'd they work it out?

Carly: [Sighs] Time passed. Michael and Jax got to know each other better.

Olivia: [Scoffs] Forget that one. I don't think Dante and Johnny are gonna be bonding anytime soon.

Carly: Mm-mmm.

Olivia: And a--and a kid does not wanna hear about his motherís...

Carly: No.

Olivia: Escapades, especially if sheís havin' 'em with someone his own age.

Carly: Mmm. Okay.

Olivia: Mm-hmm.

Carly: Ask yourself this. If you didn't have a son, would you think twice about dating Johnny?

Olivia: Not for a second.

Carly: Ah. Then that answers your question.

[Vehicle passes]

[Vehicle passes]

Jerry: How lucky it was that I was here for a few weeks on business, huh?

Michael: What kind of business?

Jerry: Oh, you know, financial markets, tedious stuff. The fact that you're here is much more interesting. But why Veracruz, of all places?

Michael: Well, itís summer vacation. We thought it'd be fun to come to Mexico.

Jerry: Michael. Michael. I'm your family, and I promised I wouldn't tell your parents, and I won't. Tell me the truth.

Michael: Like I said, itís summer vacation.

Jerry: You're in trouble, aren't you?

Kristina: Tell him, Michael.

Michael: Well, after I ran Claudia off the road, she and my dad lost their baby. If I go back to Port Charles, I'll get 6 months juvenile detention. I can't deal with that. I know you think I'm a coward--

Jerry: No, no, no, no. On the contrary, I mean, incarceration will hardly rehabilitate you, especially if the accident was unintentional. And you've lost one year of your life, so why lose more?

Michael: Thereís something else. My mom saved Claudia from the car wreck and ended up in the hospital. I don't wanna cause any more trouble.

Jerry: I know. Itís quite understandable. Don't worry. Now, Kristina, um, why are you here?

Kristina: I couldn't let Michael go alone.

Jerry: Oh, well, thatís an admirable impulse, but, uh, I can't help but noticing thereís a little more to this. I-is it personal reasons?

Kristina: I got tired of being perfect, so I thought I'd change things up; see how the other half lives.

Jerry: Hmm. Well, you know, I-- I understand. I know your mother. I mean, a-Alexis is an extraordinary woman, but she can be a bit demanding, eh?

Kristina: Do you think?

Jerry: Uh, you felt pressured, eh? You always had to be at the top of your game, eh? Alexis sets a bar so high for herself, and I--I can imagine she did the same with you.

Kristina: I'm not who my mom thought I was.

Jerry: Hmm. I understand. Well, anyhow, I have to admit I applaud you both for your decision to strike it on your own, but the question is where do you go from here? Hmm?

[Mexican folk music playing]

Sam: Excuse me, sir. Have you seen these 2 people?

Vendor: Yeah. They were here, uh, not long ago.

Sam: Good. Uh, were they with anyone?

Vendor: Yeah. They were with a well-dressed gentleman.

Sam: Did you happen to see which way they went? No? Yeah?

Vendor: Yeah. They all jumped in a cab.

Sam: Did you happen to hear where they were going?

Vendor: As a matter of fact, I did.

Carly: You caught me.

Jax: I'm worried about Michael and Kristina, too, you know.

Carly: I--I keep telling myself that they have to be okay. You know, I mean, Michaelís capable. Heís had to be. Heís--heís been through so much, you know.

Jax: Michael will be home soon, and then we'll settle back into our peaceful, noneventful life.

Carly: I--right. Jasonís gonna find them, I know. I just-- itís--itís driving me crazy, waiting for that phone to ring.

Jax: Well, you've always had a connection to Michael, right? I mean, you'd know it if he wasn't okay.

Carly: I hope so.

Jax: What does your heart tell you?

Carly: That heís okay.

Jax: You have to be strong for Michael and our baby.

Carly: I will.

Sonny: All right, then.

Morgan: Hey, uh, Mom, Jax.

Carly: Hey.

Morgan: Dad gave me a ride home.

Carly: Oh.

Morgan: Did Michael call?

Jax: No, not yet.

Carly: And you need to let us know if he contacts you, too, okay?

Morgan: Okay. Itís late. I think I'll go to bed.

Carly: I'll be up in a minute to say good night.

Morgan: Okay.

Jax: Night.

Sonny: I guess we can assume no news is good news.

Carly: Yep. Jasonís gonna find them. In the meantime, thereís something I have to discuss with you. Jax and I have been talking, and, well, uh, we decided that when Michael comes home, we want him to live with us.

Dominic: Well, itís past your curfew, young lady.

Olivia: Oh, no, no, no, no. No. Do not start with me today, Dante, because today I am in no mood.

Dominic: You? I'm the one whoís been traumatized by John Zacchara. Mom, sorry, but what are you thinkin'?

Olivia: Um, I'm thinkin' that this is my life, and it has nothin' to do with you. How 'bout that?

Dominic: The guy is my age.

Olivia: Okay, okay, you see? You see? This is why I never brought home a single guy that I was dating when you were a kid, because I didn't want to put you in the position to have to--

Dominic: Okay, itís not about his age. Okay, maybe itís about his age a little bit. I--sleeping with a guy the same age as your son is undignified.

Olivia: Okay, wait. Did you--did you just call me undignified?

Dominic: Not to mention the fact that heís a major player in the Corinthos organization.

Olivia: Because I live in this thing called the 21st century, where women are allowed to make decisions about their own damn lives.

Dominic: Yeah, even clingy, helpless women like you?

Olivia: You know what your problem is, honey?

Dominic: No, I don't have any problems. My mother always told me growing up I was beyond reproach.

Olivia: You're too much like me. We both think we can talk our way out of anything.

Dominic: Yeah, and we both think we can change the subject without anyone noticing. John Zacchara, Ma, heís no good for you. Dump him.

Olivia: Forget about it.

Maxie: Robin, please. Mac is better at taking bad news from you.

Robin: Okay, but there is no way to sugarcoat this. He does not like Spinelli.

Maxie: Because Spinelli works for Jason and Mac is so over-the-top protective, he can't see what a wonderful and kind person Spinelli is. Which is good, because I want him to forbid me from marrying Spinelli.

Robin: Yes, so you can tell him.

Maxie: You can handle this. I can't.

Lulu: I--um, she could be right. Maybe Mac would be more receptive if you told him the news.

Patrick: What news?

Lulu and Robin: Spinelli wants to marry Maxie.

Patrick: Mac will have him arrested. I know from personal experience.

Robin: Well, he actually handcuffed you and said that he would arrest you if you didn't marry me.

Patrick: Which I will be forever grateful for.

Robin: Aww.

Maxie: See? You guys already know how to handle this whole Mac thing, so please, Robin...

Robin: How did I get in the middle of this?

Maxie: Well, you're the grown-up and responsible one, which is why you should be the one to tell Mac.

Mac: Tell me what?

Maxie: Um, they were all out of Dutch apple pie, so I had to get you the regular.

Mac: And for that, Robin had to break the news?

Maxie: You know how I hate to disappoint you.

Patrick: [Mouths words]

Mac: Sweetheart, I can't be disappointed tonight. I am surrounded by family. Plus Lulu. Nice to see you. But, uh, minus my adorable grandniece. Whereís Emma?

Robin: Upstairs taking a nap.

Mac: Okay.

Patrick: I'll bring her down when she wakes up. Beer, Mac?

Mac: Thank you.

Patrick: Anybody want wine?

Lulu: Please.

Patrick: Okay.

Robin: So, uh, Maxie, why don't you give Uncle Mac the big news?

Maxie: Itís not that big of a deal. He wouldn't be interested.

Mac: Heh. What are you talkin' about? Of course I'm interested. What is it?

Maxie: I got a promotion at Crimson!

Mac: Thatís great. Thatís great news. You been working so hard for that. Just don't forget to make time for family, okay? I mean, you're gonna be so busy with Crimson now--

[Doorbell rings]

Patrick: I'll get it. Hey.

Spinelli: Greetings. Um, is the proud patriarch here?

Patrick: Heís here, all right. Here. You're gonna need this.

Spinelli: Oh, actually, itís not necessary. I'm fueled by the intoxication of love.

Patrick: Oh? Well, good luck with that.

Mac: What are you doin' here?

Olivia: What happens between John Zacchara and I is our business, Dante. Itís nobody elseís.

Dominic: The guyís a mobster.

Olivia: Yeah. Well, the last time I checked, he hasn't put out any hits on me.

Olivia: Ma, the whole time I was growin' up, you were warning me of the dangers of organized crime, how it seems so glamorous, but really it was this filthy business. And now look at you.

Olivia: John and I enjoy each otherís company, okay? Thatís all.

Dominic: Find someone elseís company to enjoy, like a-- like a nice accountant to date or a librarian. Ma, if things heat up in this town a-and John thinks you know too much, who knows what he could do?

Olivia: Johnny and I don't discuss his business ever.

Dominic: John is a walking target. Heís the son of a major mobster. Heís the brother-in-law of another. He does not have long to live, and thatís not a threat. Thatís just a statement of fact. And when someone does take him out, I don't want you getting caught in the crossfire.

Olivia: Yeah?! Right back at you.

Sonny: It seems like all we've talked about since Michael got out of the coma is where he should live.

Carly: That was a mistake. You know, clearly Michael needs stability.

Sonny: Right, and you said he'd get that at the Quartermaines'.

Jax: Look, he belongs in this house with his mom and his brother.

Sonny: And his stepfather.

Jax: Yeah, thatís right. I mean, come on, Sonny. Your place is a, uh--a compound surrounded by armed guards. Itís not exactly a place for--

Sonny: I--I do what I gotta do to protect, you know, the people I live with, uh, Jax.

Jax: Jason also mentioned that, uh, your business was getting more dangerous, uh...

Carly: Okay...

Jax: Things were heating up. Is that right?

Carly: Thereís also Claudia. You know, sheís really angry, a-and sheís grieving over the loss of her baby, which I understand, but I just don't think thatís a really healthy place for Michael.

Jax: Plus you don't have any legal right to Michael, anyway, so...

Sonny: Really? You're gonna go there?

Jax: Carly only lets you see him because sheís nice.

Sonny: Oh, wow.

Carly: Okay, you know what? I don't wanna have this conversation.

Jax: No, this is--

Carly: I don't wanna do this. I don't wanna fight.

Jax: Okay.

Carly: We need to present a united front for Michael, and I--I just think he should be here. Thatís all.

Sonny: Okay. Well, um, can I see him when I want? I--

Carly: Sonny, of course, whenever you want, anytime.

Sonny: All right, just-- just, uh, let me know when you hear from Jason.

Carly: You, too.

Jax: His arrogance never fails to astonish me.

Carly: Thank you for backing me.

Jax: Yeah.

Carly: Now all we need is for Michael to come home.

Molly: I'm not supposed to contact you, but I miss you so much. I know you ran away 'cause you feel bad, but Mom is in a lot of trouble. Please come home, Kristina. Love, Molly.

[Knock on door]

Kiefer: Hey, Molly.

Molly: Hi.

Kiefer: Hey, uh, is Kís father still here?

Molly: No. He took Morgan home.

Kiefer: Yeah?

Molly: Mm-hmm.

Kiefer: You know, I--I could tell heís really, really worried about K. We all are. You know, thatís actually why I--I came back here. Um, I know you and your sister are really close.

Molly: I don't know where she is.

Kiefer: Did she try to get in touch with you? You know, just to let you know sheís all right? Look, I--I get that you were probably too nervous to say so in front of Kís dad, but you can trust me.

Jerry: You know, I'm--I'm not sure itís all wise to put all your faith in this, uh, Enrique guy.

Michael: Heís a good guy. I mean, I used to see him every time I went to the island with Dad. Enriqueís from Veracruz, and he, uh, came back here to retire.

Kristina: Yeah, he says heís honest.

Jerry: A-and I'm sure he is, but I mean, whatís to keep him from contacting your father? I-- I would assume he has a certain allegiance to Sonny after working for him all these years, you know.

Kristina: He has a point.

Michael: Maybe.

Jerry: Well, anyway, fortunately you're here with me, and I hold no allegiance, and I have no desire to inform on you. And actually I--I quite admire and respect what you did, you know.

Kristina: Yeah, except now we have to find jobs.

Jerry: Oh, don't worry. I have tons of contacts here. I think I can help you. In the meantime, you can stay in this apartment as long as you like.

Kristina: Great.

Spinelli: Uh, th-they're gladiolus, a suitably manly flower. Uh, the name is derived from the diminutive of-- of "Gladius," the Latin word for sword, also--

Mac: This is a family gathering, Spinelli.

Spinelli: I--I just--I just request a moment of your attention. Thatís--thatís all.

Maxie: Um, Spinelli, maybe you should do this another time.

Mac: Do what another time? Whatís goin' on?

Lulu: Remember what Robin said. Just let this play out.

Spinelli: I--I come bearing more than just manly flowers. I, Damien Spinelli, with profound love in my heart, do request of the proud patriarch...

Mac: This can't be happening.

Spinelli: W-with deepest respect and greatest humility...

Mac: No, don't even think about it.

Spinelli: The hand of your lovely daughter in matrimony.

Molly: Michael sent an e-mail to Morgan.

Kiefer: Did he--did he say where he and K are?

Molly: No, just that they're okay and not to tell anyone.

Kiefer: Thatís it? Ahh. How can K be so selfish? You know, I put my ass on the line for her, and she just takes off without a word!

Jerry: All right, children. Make yourselves at home. I've gotta go out for a bit.

Kristina: Thanks.

Jerry: Ah, you're welcome. My pleasure. And I'm rather looking forward to the company. See you later.

Kristina: This is working out great.

Michael: Yeah, why do you think heís helping us?

Kristina: Why wouldn't he? Jerryís your uncle. He dated my mom. Heís like extended family.

Michael: This is Jerry Jacks we're talkin' about.

Kristina: Heís being decent enough to us. I say we go with it. I'm gonna check out the rest of the place.

Jerry: Hmm. [Sniffs] Mmm. Sweet Sam, itís been way too long.

Olivia: You're worried about me being in danger? [Scoffs] A mother could have a heart attack having a son like you.

Dominic: Ma, I'm good at what I do.

Olivia: I hope you are good at what you do, because these people that you are messing around with right now, honey, these people are murderers.

Dominic: Heh. There you go. You're doin' it again.

Olivia: Wh-what am I doing?

Dominic: You're changing the subject. We were talking about you.

Olivia: Okay. Oh--

Dominic: But I guess you feel that the best defense is a good offense.

Olivia: You wanna talk about me?

Dominic: Yeah.

Olivia: Letís talk about me. I don't like pretending that I don't know you, okay? I gotta see you here. With Johnny, over at Kellyís, with Sonny, I gotta pretend that you're some thug named Dominic that I've never met before and not my baby, who I love more than anything in the world.

Dominic: Okay, you gotta stop worrying, ma. I-I'm trained to do this, remember?

Olivia: Well, I'm not. I'm not. I don't know what I'm doing. I give you up, these people find out who you are, they will kill you.

Dominic: Look, I have infiltrated the Corinthos organization. I'm on the brink of a major takedown. Itís a little late for you to suddenly decide you don't want me to be a cop.

[Knock on door]

Sonny: Olivia, I need to talk to you about somethin'.
