Kelly: This incident is more severe than the others. Carly's blood pressure has spiked to dangerously high levels as a result of the physical and mental stress of rescuing Claudia from the accident.

Jax: Okay, so what can we do to get her blood pressure back down?

Kelly: Any medication that I give Carly to lower her blood pressure would also put the baby at risk.

Carly: That's not an option.

Kelly: Carly, if we don't get your blood pressure down, and soon, you could have a stroke, and it could be fatal.

Jason: Michael, don't say anything else. We're leaving.

Mac: No, you're not. No, you're not. Michael, you're doing the right thing by being here, okay? You need to tell me exactly what happened.

Jason: Mac, just back off. This was just a misunderstanding. I'm taking Michael home.

Mac: Sonny's wife is in the hospital because someone ran her off Harbor View Drive, and I know you're aware she's pregnant, Jason.

Jason: Let's go, Michael.

Mac: No, that's not an option. From what Michael's just told us, he could be responsible for Claudia's accident.

Diane: I need you to tell me everything, because surprises aren't going to help either of us in the courtroom.

Alexis: How many times do you want me to tell you the same thing? Yes, I was on Harbor View Road. Yes, it was at the time of Claudia's accident, around the time of the accident, it was a complete coincidence, I was calm, I was sober, I was in control of my car, and I did not cause her accident.

Patrick: Watch for shear injury. Make sure she's hyperventilated and her BP is normotensive.

Matt: Her O2 sat is at 100% and her blood pressure is fine. I'm aware of the protocol, Doctor.

Patrick: Just be prepared for anything.

Matt: We got a bleeder. Irrigation and suction. Clamp the vessel anteriorly. And suture.

Matt: Okay, Nurse.

Elizabeth: BP is 138 over 84. Heart tones 150.

Matt: Okay, well, she's stabilized again. Let's get back to it. Neuroclamp and cottonoid.

Matt: Let's clamp this vessel posteriorly.

Robin: Nice job. We're making progress here.

Patrick: Hold up. Look at dilation of the vessel laterally.

Matt: Let's check the left eye.

Robin: Pupil's dilated.

Kelly: It's the same thing I've told you from day one. You're literally putting you and your baby's lives on the line every time you put yourself in these stressful situations.

Carly: Claudia was trapped in the car. It was leaking gas. What was I supposed to do, just let her die?

Kelly: Look, I'm not trying to condemn a selfless act. I'm just trying to remind you again, as your doctor, that you're not in a position to be taking any risks, period.

Jax: Well, it was a mistake, Carly reacted. It's not about placing blame.

Kelly: If we're placing blame here, it's clearly on the driver who caused the accident. I'm just trying to get you to see, to respect the science of your current situation.

Jax: Okay, so what do we--what do we do now?

Kelly: Okay, well, unless you're ready to end this pregnancy, you're going to have to be extremely selfish, and by that I mean you must avoid all tension and stress. You see trouble, you call 911. You got it? You need to be in a peaceful, relaxing environment from here on out if you want this baby to have a chance.

Carly: Then that's what I'll do. That's what we'll all do.

Jax: Thank you, Dr. Lee.

Kelly: You're welcome. Now...get some rest. I'll check in with you tomorrow.

Jax: Okay, what do you need?

Carly: I need you to tell me that everything's gonna be okay and that we're gonna... we're gonna get through this with our family intact.

Mac: It's okay, Michael. Just tell me exactly what happened.

Jason: No, Michael's not saying another word.

Mac: Don't listen to him, Michael. You did the right thing by coming forward. Listen, our CSI unit is already at the scene. It's just a matter of time before we gather all the evidence. You're just gonna make matters worse for yourself if you stonewall.

Jason: Michael is a minor. You have no right to question him without his attorney, Mac.

Mac: You have no legal authority here. You're not his guardian, you're not his attorney. You're only here, Jason, because I'm allowing it, all right? Keep interfering, that's gonna change real fast.

Michael: All right. I was driving on Harbor View Road. This guy came out of nowhere and cut me off, and I just...I lost it, you know? I got really pissed and gunned it to try to catch up with him. I was going way too fast. It was stupid.

Mac: It's okay. You're doing good. So what happened after that?

Michael: I couldn't hold the turn, so I went into the other lane. There was this other car coming right at me, so I had to swerve to get out of the way.

Mac: Did you see or hear the car crash behind you, the one you swerved to avoid?

Michael: I don't know. I just kept driving.

Mac: Okay. Okay. Look, that's enough for now. I, uh, I don't want you to say any more. I want to wait until your attorney gets here. Michael, Michael. You did good by telling us the truth.

Alexis: Is it wrong of me to assume that my friend should believe me when I proclaim my innocence?

Diane: Of course I believe you. That is not the issue, Alexis. I am looking at this as your attorney, and I strongly doubt that the police or a jury of your peers, for that matter, is not going to see it the same way. Especially since the very public airing of your irrational emails to the mayor!

Alexis: They were forged.

Diane: Once again, we only have the defendant's word on that. Alexis, start thinking like the brilliant attorney that you are.

[Cell phone rings]

Diane: Unless there's some very solid forensic evidence connecting somebody else to the car crash, you are in very serious trouble. Hello, Mr. Morgan.

Jason: I need you at the police station right now.

Diane: And what, pray tell, are they holding you for now?

Jason: It's not me, it's Michael. He's in some serious trouble. Now, get him out of here, whatever it takes.

Diane: I'm on my way. All right. I need to go to the PCPD. Stay here. Wait for my phone call. And above all else, don't talk to anybody. This whole thing needs to be handled with the utmost delicacy.

[Door closes]

[Knock on door]

Dominic: Mom, what's going on? You look--

Olivia: Get in here.

Dominic: [Laughs] Your call freaked me out. I mean, I haven't heard that tone of voice since you caught me with Angie Martinelli in seventh grade. I wonder what she's up to these days.

Olivia: Do you want to tell me what the hell you think you were doing talking to Sonny at the hospital today?

Dominic: Oh, that's what this was about. It's no big deal. I just told him I'd rip his heart out and feed it to my dog if he didn't leave my mother alone.

Olivia: You what?!

Dominic: Then I realized I didn't have a dog.

Olivia: Dante, I'm serious about this. You gotta tell me exactly what did you say to him.

Dominic: Look, would you calm down.

Olivia: I'm not gonna calm down if you're gonna go waltzing up to the biggest crime lord on the eastern seaboard and threatening him about me.

Dominic: Look, this had nothing to do with you. Relax. I just told him I liked his shiny suit and I want to know where he shops.

Olivia: Cut the crap. You gotta tell me, what are you doing?

Dominic: I can't, Ma. I gotta go.

Olivia: Okay. All right. You don't want to tell me, I'll go over to Sonny's right now. I'm sure he'll be more than happy to fill me in.

Dominic: Okay, fine, Mom. You really want to know what it was about?

Olivia: Yes, I really want to know.

Dominic: I was talking with Mr. Corinthos today... because he's my new boss.

Olivia: You're working for Sonny? You're working for Sonny. Over my dead body.

Dominic: And you probably think I don't know why you have a problem with that, right? So it's okay for you to hang with Sonny, but I can't go anywhere near him.

Olivia: Yes, exactly. You are not working for Sonny Corinthos, end of the story.

Dominic: Oh, Ma. I love you, but we're well past the stage where you get to tell me how to run my life.

Olivia: You stay away from that man, Dante. This is too dangerous for you.

Dominic: Gee, where have I heard this before?

Olivia: Okay, do as I say, not as I do. Not that I do, because I donít. I don't--not with Sonny.

Dominic: This is what I do. Okay? We have talked about this a million times.

Olivia: Honey, and you know that I love you, and I love you no matter what you do, but you also know that I've always had issues with the choices that you've made for your life.

Dominic: Issues with the choices I've made in my life? Where the hell's my mother? And who are you?

Olivia: Baby, please stop dancing around this, okay? I raised you the best way that I knew how, and I still cannot accept what it is that you've chosen to do with your life. Okay? I swear to God, I wore out 3 flippin' rosary beads trying to pray that you would change your mind about this.

Dominic: Well, I'm stubborn. I mean, I wonder where I get that from.

Olivia: I get it. And that's why I've always allowed you to make your own decisions, but this is different, honey. Sonny Corinthos is different.

Dominic: Who are you trying to protect here, me or Sonny?

Olivia: I'm trying to protect my baby. Okay? You know how dangerous Sonny is. If you cross him, he will kill you. That's it. End of the story. Please, honey, please stay away from him, okay?

Dominic: Mom, I can't do that. And I'm a big boy, okay? I can take care of myself, all right? I'm sorry. If there's anyone who should be staying away from Sonny, it's you. You're so obviously still hung up on the guy.

Olivia: Hey. I am your mother, and you will show me some respect.

Dominic: I respect you more than anyone I know. I mean, you're acting all 1985 on me right now. It's like you were in high school and you got a crush on the prom king or something.

Olivia: Sonny Corinthos was a lot of things, but he was never the prom king.

Dominic: All right, now who's deflecting?

Olivia: Honey, I grew up with Sonny. I know him a lot better than you do, and that man did not get where he is today by accident. Okay? He is ruthless. He's relentless. And he's wicked smart about people. He's gonna know what you're doing. Please, baby, I'm begging you to leave Sonny alone.

Dominic: I really gotta go, Ma. I'll call you soon.

Johnny: Oh, hey. Take it easy. You okay? You here with somebody?

Morgan: I'm here with my mom. She's really sick.

Johnny: Here. Why don't we go over there and get out of everybody's way.

Johnny: You want to tell me more about your mom?

Morgan: Well, she's pregnant, and it's made her really sick. You see, like, Claudia was in a car crash, and her blood pressure went too high when she tried to get her out. And now if they don't get it back down, she could die.

Johnny: You're pretty scared, huh? Feel like there's nothing you can do about it.

Morgan: Well, there's something else, too. My mom doesn't know that my brother Mi--my brother Michael was driving the car that made Claudia crash.

Carly: Okay, so tell me again how you were born lucky. 'Cause that means this little girl is gonna have your genes and she's gonna be okay.

Jax: No, it's more than luck. It's like everything I've ever done has led me to this. To you. You're it. And you're everything to me, Carly.

Carly: I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I know I drive you crazy when I do stuff like this, but I didn't know what to do. Claudia was stuck in the car--

Jax: No, hey, there's no need to explain. You were just being you. And I happen to love that person very much. So...

Carly: You're it for me, too. I want nothing more than to spend the rest of my life with you.

Jax: You know how much I want this--this baby, right? But nothing is worth your life. Nothing.

Carly: That's a choice we're not gonna have to make. We're not, because I am going to do everything the doctor--Kelly told me to do, you know. I--I... she wants me to be selfish, I'm gonna be selfish. I can do that. I'm gonna lay around and I'm gonna let you take care of me. Unless you're naked all the time.

Jax: Okay. If that's what it takes, that's what I'll do.

Michael: I know you wanted me to stay quiet. I--I...I couldnít. You know? It's my fault.

Jason: It's okay. Okay. We're gonna figure this out when Diane gets here. But do not say anything else to Mac, not another word.

Michael: I'm sorry if I let you down.

Jason: didn't let me down. I'm just trying to protect you. Sometimes these cops have a way of twisting words. That's why it's always better to wait for Diane. She knows how to handle these situations.

Michael: I screwed everything up.

Jason: Oh, man. I know what you're going through. I do. Probably better than anybody. All I can say to you, that this is gonna take some time. You have to be patient. You will get control of that anger, but just keep in mind... these cops, they don't care. They're gonna act all sympathetic and understanding, and that's what it is--it's an act. It's part of their job to get you to incriminate yourself. So donít. You trust me on that much?

Michael: Yeah.

Mac: Look, I want forensics all over this, all right? The car, the accident site, tire tracks, everything. And get some men out canvassing the point looking for witnesses, too.

Officer: I'm on it.

Diane: Commissioner. I am here on behalf of my client, Michael Corinthos iii, who, as you know, is a minor. I need him released immediately.

Mac: Michael confessed to reckless endangerment and leaving the scene of an accident. Both are criminal charges. I'm afraid Michael's not going anywhere.

Alexis: Yes, hi. This is District Attorney Davis. I'm calling about Claudia Corinthos. Yes, you can consider this an official inquiry. I'd like to know about her condition. Yes. Do you have any information about the extent of her injuries? How about an estimate of when she'll be out of surgery? Good. Thank you. I appreciate it.

[Knock on door]

Sam: Hi. Everything okay?

Alexis: Not really.

Sam: Oh. Well, I've actually got some good news. I was able to use Spinelli's computer to hack into the security system at the mayor's house, just like you asked, and I did come across the footage of you coming and going, and you did seem pretty upset. So, I deleted it.

Alexis: Oh...God.

[Alexis sighs]

Johnny: You know, sometimes when people get upset, they don't think straight and they start blaming themselves for things that they didn't actually do.

Morgan: But my brother Michael told me he did. He said he was driving too fast and it caused Claudia to drive off the road. That's why she was stuck and my mom had to save her.

Johnny: Well, your mom did something very brave, though. She saved Claudia's life.

Morgan: She was only there looking for my Saint Christopher medal. It's really cool. My brother Michael gave it to me. She was about to tuck me in. Yeah, it's kind of stupid. I'm too old for that.

Johnny: No, hey, come on. There's nothing wrong with that. Besides, you're very lucky to have a mom who loves you so much.

Morgan: I know. I don't want her to die.

Johnny: Oh, come on, hey. She's not gonna die. Okay? Here. Take that. You see all these people in this hospital? They're gonna take good care of her and they're gonna make sure she's okay. And I may know of something you can do to help. It's your job to keep your mom from getting upset. So if you don't tell her that Michael's responsible for this car accident, then she's got nothing to worry about. Right? It's your job to protect her, right?

Morgan: Okay.

Johnny: Your ma, she's been strong for you your whole life.

Morgan: And now I've gotta be strong for her.

Johnny: You got it. It'll be okay.

Matt: And we're done. Good job, everyone.

Elizabeth: BP is 130 over 70. ICP levels still coming down.

Matt: Take her to recovery, follow up with postop procedure, and, nurse, add a CBC and bleeding times every 6 hours.

Patrick: Nice work, Matt. Very good.

Matt: You sure about that? I didn't miss a left-hand turn at the intersection back there?

Patrick: [Sighs] Oh, yes, I get it. Backseat drivers. Very funny.

Robin: Yeah, it was a pretty intense consult in there.

Patrick: All right, I might have been a little over the top, but I'm not used to riding shotgun. Give me a break.

Matt: Okay, here it comes.

Patrick: No, I can admit it. You were steady, you were calm, you were creative in your solutions.

Matt: And?

Patrick: And I couldn't have done it better myself.

Matt: Hey.

Patrick: Not much better, anyway.

Robin: Well, that's about as good as you're gonna get.

Robin: Everything okay? You think the baby's in distress?

Elizabeth: I don't know. The heart rate is okay, but it has dropped since the surgery started.

Carly: You know what? I think I could get used to lying around all day. Maybe I could read those vampire books Lulu was telling me about. She said the books are way better than the movie.

Jax: How do you always find a way to make me smile when I'm terrified?

Carly: It's a gift.

[Knock on door]

[Door opens]

Carly: Hey! There's my hero. Hey, baby. Mmm.

Morgan: I just wanted to see if you needed anything.

Carly: You know what? I think I have everything I need right here.

Johnny: I, uh...just wanted to say thank you for saving my sister.

Carly: Oh. You're welcome. I mean, I wish I could say that it was some big noble impulse, but...I was just reacting to the situation.

Johnny: Yeah, I know Claudia hasn't exactly...been friendly to you, but...I just want you to know that...I'm grateful you saved her life. And you seem to be a very brave and generous person.

Jax: Well, looks like I'm gonna have to agree with a Zacchara for once.

Michael: So what happens now?

Jason: We do nothing. Diane's gonna be arguing for your release. Just remember, when she says it's a tactic, do not react and do not say anything until she tells you to.

Diane: The car that Michael may or may not have caused to swerve off the road, he's identified it as Claudia's?

Mac: No, he hasnít.

Diane: No. All right, so, he's clearly identified Claudia as the driver?

Mac: No, but that--

Diane: No. All right, so let me just see if I have this straight, Commissioner. You have basically tried to coerce a confession out of a minor who has just awoken from a coma and is recovering from major brain surgery.

Mac: Don't try to twist this, Diane.

Diane: Those are the facts, Mac. Maybe hearing them out loud has made you realize just how ludicrous they would sound in front of a judge.

Mac: We didn't coerce anything. Michael came in here ready to confess. He has a conscience.

Diane: He also has rights, as inconvenient as those may be to your obvious agenda.

Mac: Wait a minute. Our agenda?

Diane: Oh, come--come on, Commissioner. You can't honestly stand there and try to deny the fact that this department has for years attempted to secure a conviction against Michael's father. Now, failing that, you are maliciously persecuting Sonny's offspring.

Mac: This is ridiculous. Why can't you just let Michael tell the truth?

Diane: I can and will prove that you have taken advantage of a brain-damaged minor and that any confession you may have obtained is inadmissible because of Michael's mental incapacity.

Johnny: Hey, Claudia.

Claudia: Mm?

Johnny: It's John.

Claudia: Mm?

Johnny: You did great. You made it through.

Claudia: Hmm.

[Fetal monitor beeping]

Claudia: The baby. How's the baby?

Ronnie: Dom.

Dominic: This better be good.

Ronnie: What, you got big plans for the evening? Me, I was just gonna stay home and watch reality TV shows with the kids.

Dominic: No wonder you couldn't wait to get out of the house.

Ronnie: All right, so, uh, what do you got? Corinthos? That Zacchara drug shipment info you fed him?

Dominic: No. He's letting it slide. Sonny's got way bigger things on his plate right now.

Ronnie: Oh, really? Bigger than drugs moving through his territory.

Dominic: Yeah. His wife just got in a bad car wreck.

Ronnie: I always said Claudia was an accident waiting to happen.

Dominic: I'll be sure to pass on your condolences. She's in surgery right now, and she's pregnant. She might lose the kid.

Ronnie: That's tough. But it's good for us. [Laughs]

Dominic: I can always count on you, Ronnie, to look at the, uh, positive.

Ronnie: Look, Corinthos is gonna be so distracted with his wife and his kid, he won't even notice you strolling right in and getting everything we need to bring him down.

Dominic: What the hell is wrong with you?

Ronnie: Who, whoa, whoa. Chill out. When did you get so emotionally involved?

Carly: You know what? I wish you could stay here with me all night, but it's getting late and you're gonna have to go home with Grandma Bobbie. What do you say?

Morgan: Can't I stay just a little bit longer? I can keep helping you.

Carly: You already did help me. Jax told me what a hero you were tonight. And I'm so sorry. You must have been so scared when I passed out.

Morgan: I just called 911.

Jax: No, you did a lot more than that. You know, a lot of adults wouldn't have handled that situation as well as you did.

Carly: That's right. I'm so proud of you. And I don't want you to worry about me, because I'm gonna be okay. And your little sister here is gonna be okay. All we have to do now is just rest and take it extra, extra easy.

Morgan: Yeah, um, Mom, you're really not the best at taking things easy.

Jax: Ooh. Somebody knows his mother very well.

Carly: I am serious. Hey! I'm serious. I'm going to do exactly what the doctor told me. I am. I'm gonna rest, and I'm gonna not stress, and I'm gonna be so good at it, you guys aren't even gonna recognize me. I'll show you, Mr. Hero.

Diane: Release my client immediately or I will be pressing criminal charges and citing mental cruelty.

Mac: You do whatever you think is necessary. I'm playing this by the book.

Diane: Michael is in no way a flight risk. You could release him into Jason's custody tonight, and then once you've finished your formal investigation, if you're still prepared to issue a warrant, Michael will surrender himself.

Mac: Between Sonny Corinthos and the Quartermaines, Michael is one of the most connected kids in Port Charles. He's a high flight risk. Michael Corinthos iii, you're under arrest. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law.

Alexis: Are you sure that the footage was completely deleted?

Sam: Yeah. Why?

Alexis: Because the situation has changed. Thanks to Floydís lunatic wife, I am now a suspect in Claudia's car accident.

Sam: What?!

Alexis: [Sighs] Floyd's wife went to the police station and told them that I was at her house and that I left around the time of Claudia's car accident and I was hysterical and that I was driving erratically.

Sam: Oh, great. And the footage I deleted could have proved--

Alexis: Never mind. It's not your fault. I should never have asked you to do that in the first place. It's my karma for skirting the law.

[Cell phone rings]

Sam: Wait a minute. Are you absolutely 100% sure that you couldn't have had anything to do with it?

Alexis: Yes, of course I am. Hey, Mac, what's up?

Mac: Listen, I have some good news. You're no longer a suspect in Claudia's accident.

Alexis: Well, what happened?

Mac: Well, we just Mirandized Michael Corinthos. He confessed to causing the accident.

Alexis: Wow. Thanks. Michael Corinthos just confessed to causing Claudia's accident.

Kristina: Are you gonna let Michael take the blame for something you might have done?

Kristina: How can you be such a hypocrite? You don't even know if Michael's guilty.

Alexis: Were you listening?

Kristina: And you were driving on Harbor View Road. You were probably driving crazy because you made a fool of yourself at the mayor's house.

Alexis: All right, all right. The mayor's wife is lying, and I was not hysterical when I left.

Kristina: Oh, am I supposed to believe you because you've been so honest about everything else? I've read your emails, Mom. They're pathetic.

Alexis: Those were forged, and you should believe that by now. What on earth is going on with you?

Kristina: Right. You didn't write the emails, you didn't sleep with a married man, and you didn't ask Sam to destroy the surveillance video. I'm not gonna let you blame Michael for the accident you could have caused.

Alexis: I am very upset that Michael confessed to this accident. I feel terrible for what he's going through right now or what he may have to go through in the future--

Kristina: Yeah, it didn't sound like that.

Alexis: And I will do everything in my power to help him. More importantly, I did not cause Claudia's accident. Yes, the tape that I asked her to destroy was a mistake. It hurt me anyway, so I got what I deserved.

Sam: All right, listen. Can we just--can we calm down? I'm sure we can sort this out.

Alexis: Fine. I'm gonna go downtown and I'm gonna try to help Michael. We'll talk about this when everyone's cooled down.

[Door closes]

Kristina: She's lying.

Sam: I think you're pretty upset. And I don't think it has anything to do with you thinking Mom caused Claudia's accident. Right?

[Cell phone rings]

Jax: Hello, this is Jax.

Jason: Jax, it's Jason. I need you to get a message to Carly. I'm with Michael at the police station. He's been arrested.

Jax: What? What happened?

Jason: Michael was driving on Harbor View Road tonight... and he is convinced that he caused Claudia's accident and he turned himself in to the police.

Jax: What do you mean, he thinks he caused the accident? Is there proof?

Jason: I--you know what? I honestly don't know either way. They arrested him based on his confession. I got Diane here working on it right now.

Jax: All right, all right. Well, I will handle Carly, and I'm sure you'll do whatever Michael needs. Okay, if you need anything, you call me.

Jason: All right.

Jax: Jason... thank you.

Carly: So, is Morgan okay?

Jax: Everything's good, yeah. He's home with Grandma Bobbie.

Carly: Okay. You know what I was thinking? I was thinking I should call Michael. If he finds out about this from someone else, he's gonna worry. So can I use your cell?

Dominic: You know, maybe you didn't hear me. Sonny's wife is in surgery. They might lose their kid.

Ronnie: And what? What, I'm supposed to suddenly feel bad for Sonny Corinthos? The same thug that killed how many people?

Dominic: Yeah. You know what? You're right. You're all--all heart. Go home and hug your kids.

Ronnie: Corinthos would put a bullet in your head and not think twice about it. Please don't tell me you're going soft on me. We got a job to do.

Dominic: Yeah, and I'm doing it. I just don't like it when women and kids get involved.

Ronnie: You take what they give you. This tragic little story might just be the break we need to get you locked in place. And the more distracted Sonny is, the easier it'll be for you to infiltrate. And if his wife and his kid don't make it, well, a grieving Corinthos would be a whole hell of a lot easier to take down.

Johnny: See?

Claudia: Hmm?

Johnny: Check out that monitor. My nephew's strong as ever.

Claudia: [Groans] Where's Sonny?

Johnny: I don't know. I don't really care.

Claudia: Johnny, come on. He's the baby's father, you know, not to mention my husband.

Johnny: Claudia, Sonny--

[Door opens]

Kelly: How are you feeling?

Claudia: I'm pretty good, you know. Pretty good. Guess that was the right decision to do that surgery instead of filling me full of those drugs that could have hurt my baby.

Kelly: It's true the, uh, the surgery had no adverse effects on the fetus. Unfortunately... the seat belt you were wearing caused a severe blunt trauma to your abdominal area. And the baby has been compromised.

Claudia: My baby's fine. Heart beats. Going strong.

Kelly: The baby's heartbeat has been at a steady decline since the accident.

[Claudia crying]

Kelly: The most likely cause is detachment or tearing of the placenta, but the fetus itself could have sustained damage to a vital organ.

Claudia: What are you saying to me, Kelly? John... what are you saying?

Kelly: I'm sorry. Even if we--

Claudia: You're sorry, huh? That's what you got for me, you're sorry?

[Claudia sobbing]

Kelly: Even if we performed an emergency C-section, the fetus is too premature to survive. I'm so sorry, Claudia.

[Claudia sobbing]

Kelly: There's nothing we can do.

Claudia: Oh, my...poor little boy. Johnny, no, no.

Johnny: Shh, shh.

Jason: I don't want Michael locked up.

Diane: Shh. Michael showed good faith by coming to you, Mac. Now, let Jason post his bail and take him home.

Mac: I canít. How am I supposed to trust he'll keep him in this country?

Diane: Michael is a minor who is still recovering from a year in a coma. What kind of a message is it going to send if you start treating him like he's already a convicted felon?

Mac: Look, I'm not enjoying any of this, all right? I'm just doing my job. The fact is, Claudia and her baby are fighting for their lives because Michael chose to drive recklessly tonight. The message here is, there are-- there's consequences for your actions. Take him to lockup.

Jason: No, this isn't--this is not happening. You're not locking him up.

[Claudia crying]

Claudia: Okay. Go find Sonny, okay?

[Claudia crying]

Johnny: I'm sorry.

Claudia: Okay.

Carly: I should really call Michael.

Jax: You know what? It's late, and we can call Michael first thing in the morning. You have to get some rest, remember? Hmm?

Carly: Ohh. Sit down.

Jax: Okay.

Carly: Mmm. You know what?

Jax: What?

Carly: It'll be a lot easier for me to rest if I can know my babies were safe and sound. Where's your phone?

Jax: Jeez. Hey.

Diane: Jason, come on.

Jason: Mac, just, please, take me in his place. Don't lock him up.

Mac: I'm gonna ask you this one time. Step away from Michael.

Diane: Jason, I'm just going to suggest that you not make matters any worse for Michael right now. This is okay. This is not over. Come on.

Michael: It's okay.

Mac: Take him to lockup.

Michael: I'll be fine.

Sam: Why are you so convinced that Michael didn't cause that accident?

Kristina: Nobody knows who caused the accident. It could have been Michael, but it could have been Mom, too. I mean, she's been lying about everything else.

Sam: [Sighs] Really? I mean, but could have been someone else driving the car, too. Come on, Kristina, I saw you come in here with Kiefer tonight. You were all stressed out. As soon as Mom mentioned the accident, you dropped your glass.

Kristina: What, so you're investigating me now?

Sam: No, I am not, no. By all means, no, I am not investigating you. I just know you well enough to know when you're trying to cover something up. Why don't you tell me what's really going on, please.

Kristina: There's nothing going on.

Sam: Okay. Fine. You want to--you want to play that game. So I had a feeling you weren't being honest, and I went out there and I checked Viola's car, and the engine was warm. Viola's been in here all night with Molly. The country club is on Harbor View Road.

Kristina: That doesn't mean anything.

Sam: Come on, Krissy! Really, I have never seen you be so harsh with Mom in our entire life. You've gotta be kidding me right now. I want to help you. Normally, when you do stuff like that, it means you're feeling guilty about something. Please tell me the truth. Krissy, did you cause... that accident with Claudia?
