Carly: I'm sorry. Sorry, that was cruel. It's not your fault that Michael was in the warehouse the night he was shot.

Jason: You wanted to go get him, and I stopped you.

Carly: Yeah. I'm just lashing out at you because I'm scared. I'm scared for Michael. I have no idea where he is, and I don't know what I'm supposed to do.

Jason: I think you should follow your instincts. They're usually right.

Carly: Except when they're wrong. I need your advice. My child is back, and my God, it's a miracle. And I just want him to be safe.

Michael: You realize you almost just hit that guy.

Kristina: He was in my lane. Lucky for us, I have lightning-fast reflexes.

Michael: All right. Now all you have to do is keep the steering wheel straight.

Kristina: Excuse me? I'm an excellent driver.

Michael: Right. That's why the guy's face was frozen with terror. I actually think he was screaming. Are you sure you don't want me to drive?

Kristina: I'm the one with the learner's permit, remember?

Michael: Yeah, their learner's permits are supposed to drive with someone who's 21 and has their driver's license. So either way we're breaking the law.

[Car horn blares]

Kristina: Watch where you're going. Talk about road rage.

Michael: Your driving really is creative.

Kristina: You want creative?

Michael: Go for it. Maybe next time you can drive us off a cliff.

[Engine revs]

Sonny: You were talking to the baby?

Claudia: Nope. I was working you.

Sonny: Oh, you knew I was listening?

Claudia: Yeah, I staged that whole thing. Oh, yeah. Lying, cheating, manipulating, using the pregnancy to sink my claws into you. Sounds like me, right? No possible way that I could actually have feelings for the little life that's growing inside me.

Sonny: You know that's not true.

Carly: I just wish I knew how to get through to Michael.

Jason: You did it with me, after my accident. You were the only person in my life at the time that didn't know I had a brain injury. You know, Robin and Sonny became my family, they helped me find my way. But you were the only person who treated me like I was normal. That's why I could always count on you.

Carly: But it's different with Michael. I'm his mother. I have to set limits for the kid.

Jason: I know, but you also have to give him some freedom.

Carly: His brain is still healing. His fits of rage could get him into trouble. I have to look out for him.

Jason: Don't make yourself the person that he has to fight, Carly.

Carly: Why not? Why not? This isn't a popularity contest. Every teenager says, "Mom, I hate you" at one point in their life. It's my job, Jason, to make sure Michael has a full recovery whether he likes me or not.

Jason: You see the way he acts out. You keep pushing h, he's going to keep acting out, and it's only going to make things worse.

Claudia: I can't do this anymore.

Sonny: Do what?

Claudia: This. The constant seesaw back and forth. One minute, you're nice, you're sweet. And the next minute, you're accusing me of having sex with your brother and trying to pass his baby off as yours. I don't have the energy to defend myself anymore. So it's over. I'm just, from now on, going to concentrate on the baby.

Sonny: Okay. There's still a chance the baby is mine. If I get proof that it is, then I'll give you and the baby everything you need.

Claudia: Oh, that's sweet. I mean, that's a really good offer. But, meanwhile, you hate my guts. And I'm not going to stick around for that, Sonny.

Sonny: Claudia, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. I don't want you to leave.

Johnny: Hey, Coleman. A scotch.

Coleman: Hey, what's going on, man?

Johnny: Hey.

Coleman: Scotch. You got it. So, you notice anything?

Johnny: Like what?

Coleman: Well, with the economy tanking, I've decided to give the place a little class. You know, I was hoping it'll pull in a more upscale clientele.

Johnny: Yeah? What'd you do, put on your cleanest dirty shirt?

Coleman: That's funny. Check it out.

Johnny: Nice.

Coleman: Yeah, it was gathering dust in a pawn shop.

Johnny: Back there?

Coleman: Yeah.

Johnny: Got some water stains, but still -- nice.

Coleman: As soon I can get me somebody who knows how to actually play the thing, I can advertise live music.

Johnny: Mind if I give it a shot?

Coleman: No "Chopsticks," dude, okay? I mean, I -- the place has a reputation.

Johnny: Right. I'll try not to mess it up.

Coleman: Yes, please.

Maxie: Spinelli, are you okay?

Spinelli: Yes, I'm just a little flush with victory. The decision to trail the glacial one reaped great rewards.

Maxie: I'm just in shock. I can't believe Kate's being blackmailed by her greatest rival to turn over her prime layouts to "Couture."

Spinelli: The extortioning one obtained information regarding the funding of "Crimson," and clearly, the glacial one will go to great lengths to keep it secret.

Maxie: I thought Jax was our primary investor.

Spinelli: Evidently, he's just a piece of this most enigmatic puzzle.

Maxie: Spinelli, are you okay?

Spinelli: Oh. Oh, that's nice.

Maxie: When I heard the lady at the spa waxing you and you were screaming, I felt terrible for you.

Spinelli: I may have emitted a few.

Maxie: I was at this farm once, and I heard this pig squeal. It was the loudest, most blood-curdling sound ever. That's kind of what you sounded like.

Spinelli: Would you please refrain from making porcine comparisons to such a regrettable experience?

Maxie: Sorry. Just let me know if you need ice or anything.

Spinelli: No, no, no. No ice. Returning to the matter at hand, I will begin researching fundings for "Crimson" as soon as my discomfort subsides.

Maxie: Thank you.

Spinelli: But I must say, I'm a bit concerned about the whereabouts of my intrepid partner, fair Samantha.

Maxie: Is she on a case?

Spinelli: Indeed, an infidelity case. But that should be wrapped up by now, and she should be back here in the office completing paperwork -- rather perplexing that she's not.

Maxie: I should have gotten a citrus facial. Why would Kate and Giselle meet at a spa, of all places? Spas are supposed to be relaxing, and blackmail is stressful.

Spinelli: A salon of rejuvenating treatments is an ideal location for fashionistas to meet because no one would suspect an ulterior motive.

Maxie: I wonder how long they've been meeting.

Spinelli: Well, soon, all shall be revealed. Ah -- behold, the glacial one's financial records.

Maxie: That was fast.

Spinelli: I shall now return to the period when "Crimson" was originally being financed and trace all source of funding.

Maxie: Kate's not going to like us hacking into her personal financial records.

Spinelli: Well, I won't leave any trace. Source of the blackmailing, we can aid the glacial one and help her resolve her troublesome situation.

Maxie: Kate might actually be grateful enough to promote me. Spinelli, you're my hero. Were you able to get the list of "Crimson's" private investors?

Spinelli: Yes. And the only name listed is that of Jasper Jacks.

Maxie: What about the unofficial list?

Spinelli: Well, I'm going to have to brainstorm to devise a way to find such a list.

Maxie: You know, Spinelli, you don't look so good. Maybe we should take a break.

Spinelli: Do you want to drop a few bills at the local watering hole?

Maxie: I don't want to go to a water hole.

Spinelli: No, no. Do you want to get some drinks at Jake's?

Maxie: Oh, yeah. Why didn't you say so?

Spinelli: Okay.

[Maxie chuckles]

Spinelli: What?

Coleman: Hey, dude. Don't get me wrong, I'm blown away by the way you're tickling the ivories there. But, you know, you're playing mortuary music.

Johnny: What would you prefer, Coleman?

Coleman: Do you know "Sleeping Single in a Double Bed"?

[Johnny laughs]

Coleman: How about "Whiskey Lullaby"?

John: I canít say that I do.

Coleman: Okay, look, how about -- just do anything written in your lifetime.

Johnny: Right.

Coleman: Or mine. Okay? That'd be good.

Johnny: Got it.

Coleman: Hit it, man.

[Plays Chopin]

Alexis: Hi, Coleman.

Coleman: Ms. Davis. How are you doing?

Alexis: I'm all right. How are you?

Coleman: Good, good.

Alexis: What are the chances of getting a glass of pinot noir?

Coleman: You know what? It just so happens that I have an excellent pinot from a California vineyard.

Alexis: Ooh. That's a good bottle.

Coleman: Nice.

Alexis: You have very good taste.

Coleman: I appreciate that. You know, I'm just looking to appeal to my more upscale clients, such as yourself.

Alexis: Well -- Chopin?

Coleman: "Show" what?

Alexis: It's very classy, Coleman. I'm going to sit at the table, and I'm going to take the bottle.

Coleman: Please do. Damn. Sell it, Liberace.

Claudia: There's no way I'm staying here. I would rather sleep in John's garage.

Sonny: If you're carrying my child, I want you living under my roof.

Claudia: You always get what you want?

Sonny: I'm asking you nicely.

Claudia: Well, I mean, if I was going to stay here, we could have to come up with a whole new set of rules.

Sonny: Like what?

Claudia: Like no more interrogations. It's not good for the baby, Sonny. It ties me up into little knots. And I get that you have suspicions, but, you know, you can't throw it in my face every five minutes.

Sonny: What else?

Claudia: Max and Milo have to tell Ric that he is not ever allowed in this house ever again. If they see him on the property, they throw him out. I hate his guts. I don't want to think about him. All I want to think about is my little boy.

Sonny: Boy?

Claudia: I have a feeling this baby's a boy.

Sonny: You're starting to sound like a mom.

Sonny: What? What are you doing here, Michael?

Michael: I want to come home, Dad.

Jason: If I didn't leave the Quartermaines when I did, they were going to have me declared mentally incompetent and put me in a home.

Carly: I would never do to Michael what the Quartermaines did to you.

Jason: I know, I'm just saying they drove me away.

Carly: So are you telling me that I'm supposed to just leave Michael alone and let him run wild?

Jason: No, I'm not. I'm just saying that you need to give him a little space.

Carly: What's the cut-off? Because if I leave him alone, that makes me a bad parent. And I love Michael, and I want him to be safe. And when he's out there, God knows where, there's a thousand questions going through my head. Is he okay? Has he been in an accident? Has his self-destructive behavior --

Jason: Okay, listen, I know. I worry about him. Carly, it's natural for you to worry about your kids. You just have to give him a little room.

[Carly sighs]

Carly: Okay. I'm not making any promises, but okay.

[Phone rings]

Carly: Hello? He just showed up at your door? Okay, I'll be right there. He's at Sonny's.

Jason: How did he get there?

Carly: I don't know, but he's okay. I'm going to go get him now.

Jason: Okay. Carly? You just listen to what Michael has to say. And you need to be careful.

Diane: I was so thrilled to get your call. Much as I'm loving my evenings with Max, it has been ages since you and I had a proper girls' night out. With the boys.

Alexis: I got us a pinot, is that all right?

Diane: Brilliant. Oh, what a lovely way to start. Is that Chopin?

Alexis: Yes, Coleman is trying to class up the joint.

Diane: It's a little like putting a bowtie on a dockworker. But I suppose that's part of the appeal. Okay, I have a confession to make.

Alexis: What's that?

Diane: When I got your call, I raced home just so I could put on my Neela Llorente slingbacks and watch you drool. Behold.

Alexis: They're really nice.

Diane: You're not drooling. Why aren't you drooling? Could it be because your own sassy little pair of pumps are just as adorable? Where did you get those?

Alexis: I didn't ask you here to talk about shoes tonight. It's business. And I'm concerned. I think you should drop your malpractice suit against Dr. Hunter.

Coleman: Maxie and the spin doctor. How are you kids doing? What -- what'll it be? Wait, wait, wait, let me guess. Orange soda.

Maxie: Two.

Spinelli: Actually, just make that one. I'll have a whiskey. Straight.

Coleman: You sure, man?

Spinelli: I am in need of some alcoholic fortification.

Maxie: In that case, I'll have a beer.

Coleman: Whatever you say, chief.

Maxie: You know, Spinelli, you don't have to order whiskey to impress me.

Spinelli: No, that's all right. Real men of danger prefer whiskey to brightly colored sodas. Thank you, sir.

Maxie: Thank you.

Spinelli: To the most fetching femme fatale of them all.

Maxie: Ooh -- oh. Can we get some water? It's okay.

Spinelli: It's -- it's okay. I'm fine. Fine.

Maxie: Here. Here you go.

Kristina: My mother's not here, and no, you can't wait for her. You're a known criminal. You shouldn't be at the D.A.'s house.

Jason: The D.A.'s underage daughter shouldn't be at clubs drinking, smoking weed, or driving without a license either.

Kristina: I can't believe Michael told you.

Jason: He didn't. He showed up at Sonny's. It's too far for him to walk from Carly's, so I came over here, I checked the car. The engine's warm, Alexis isn't here, your housekeeper's not here. So that leaves you.

Carly: Where's Michael?

Sonny: Claudia took him for a walk around the property.

Carly: Did he know I was coming?

Sonny: Yeah.

Carly: He decided to go for a walk with Claudia. Well, I feel better and better.

Sonny: He feels terrible about taking off. He just doesn't want to fight with you anymore.

Carly: And you're running interference. This is exactly what we said we wouldn't do. Michael is pitting us against each other. He's playing on our sympathy.

Sonny: That's why I let Claudia take him for a walk, because you and I need to talk this out.

Carly: Right, because he told you he wants to move in with you.

Sonny: All I want for Michael -- I just want him to be safe and comfortable.

Carly: And I don't want that?

Sonny: Yes, you do. You're trying everything, but, you know, what happens? You bring him home from the hospital and within an hour, he takes off. So whatever you're doing is not working.

Michael: Hey, we don't have to walk too far.

Claudia: You don't like the fresh air?

Michael: No, I was thinking of you. You just got out of the hospital. I thought -- you want to sit down?

Claudia: Okay, this is a flip. So you're going to treat me now like everybody's been treating you? Is that what -- we're doing that now?

Michael: You don't like being told what to do, huh?

Claudia: I really don't like being told what to do. When I was stuck in the hospital, I couldn't wait to get out of there. I hated it. I hate having nurses coming in and out and sticking their tubes up my nose and in my veins, and their food that tastes like creamed cardboard.

Michael: Did they give you the chicken cutlets?

Claudia: Oh, please. The little Frisbees? It was all I could do to keep from chucking them across the room at people.

Michael: I threw my tray on the floor once, made the nurses really mad. But they couldn't do anything, they just acted all nice because they weren't allowed to upset me. Talk about prison.

Claudia: Yeah. Well, if I were you, and I'd been stuck in a bed for a year, I would never want to go near a hospital again.

Michael: You're the only person who really understands.

Claudia: You know what else I understand? Now that I'm out? I had to be careful. You do, too, you know?

Michael: I know.

Claudia: So why did you come by tonight? Did you just want to see your dad, or --

Michael: No, I got in a fight with my mom.

Claudia: What about?

Michael: I really don't even remember. She just makes me so mad.

Claudia: Sorry. That's hard. I know it's hard for both of you guys, but you know -- there might be a way that you could go at it better.

Michael: How?

Claudia: You just -- you got to be smart about it.

Claudia: It's not about competition, and it's not about rebellion.

Michael: You lost me.

Claudia: Okay, have you ever heard the expression, "you catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar"?

Michael: Grandma Bobbie used to tell Morgan than when he would stomp around the kitchen yelling, asking for whatever he wanted.

Claudia: Okay, well, it's really good advice, it turns out. The harder you fight somebody, the more they push back.

Michael: Yeah, but I'm not going to just cave when people are trying to get me to do something that I don't want to do.

Claudia: Okay, Michael, all I'm saying is you've got to be cool about it, you know? You've got to be a little bit reasonable, and you have to make people think that you're listening to what they have to say. And don't fly off the handle. That doesn't work.

Michael: Yeah, but the thing is, I've never been good at that, and I'm worse now.

Claudia: Okay, fine. Pick your battles. You know, have a goal in mind. Decide what it is that you actually want and what's standing in your way, what you've got to do to get it.

Carly: I don't even know how the fight with me and Michael started.

Sonny: What were you discussing?

Carly: Karate. I asked him if he wanted to take some lessons to catch up with Jax and Morgan, who have been taking it together for awhile, and he just -- he flipped out.

Sonny: It sets Michael off to think that we were, you know, living our lives while he was in a coma. I don't know, I mean, he feels left out.

Carly: I know. And that's what I was doing, and he just -- he freaked out, Sonny. He did exactly what Patrick warned us about. Michael has some -- he has some serious anger issues, and I mean, it's raw emotion.

Sonny: Then it makes sense to take him out of a loaded situation. I don't mind him living here for a little while.

Carly: Yeah, but what if he's testing me, you know? Just -- what if I say, "okay, you can live with your dad," and then he turns around and claims that I only said that so I could have a family with Morgan and Jax?

Sonny: You're getting ahead of yourself.

Carly: No, I'm not, because you have no idea how hard it is for me to hear him say that I have a family without him.

Sonny: I know it's tough, but maybe you and Michael need some distance, at least for now. And I'm worried about your high-risk pregnancy. You're not supposed to be dealing with any stress.

Carly: Michael needs consistency. You know, he needs emotional rehabilitation, not just physical.

Sonny: Be honest, how much of this is for Michael's own good, and how much of this is that you miss him, and you don't want to give him up?

Kristina: I could explain this all to my mother. I already told her how you dragged me out of that club when I was there to help a friend.

Jason: What about the joint?

Kristina: Do you still have it? Then I guess it's your word against mine. And my mom will take my side.

Jason: What about the fact you drove without a license?

Kristina: You're going to bust me by telling her? What are you, my keeper?

Jason: Just answer the question.

Kristina: I'll say I felt sorry for my poor brother who just got out of the hospital and really needed a ride. I'll promise never to do it again.

Jason: But you will.

Kristina: Why do you care? Why can't you just leave me alone?

Jason: Because your father is my closest friend. I see you out in clubs drinking, you're fooling around with drugs -- I get concerned.

Kristina: Stop making me sound like I'm some pathetic loser. I get straight A's. My life is under control.

Jason: Not from what I've seen.

Kristina: I'm fine. Mom doesn't need to know about any of this. How about cutting me some slack and letting me make my own choices?

[Jason sighs]

Robin: If you damage the countertops, you'll have to answer to Epiphany.

Patrick: I don't care about the countertops.

Robin: Okay, you're not thinking clearly. From the corner, not the cafeteria, cafe con leche.

Patrick: Thank you.

Robin: I checked the sign-out sheet. Matt signed out 20 minutes ago, and there's an autopsy scheduled for Brianna's body.

Patrick: I have to find a way to help him.

Robin: He won't let you. He's scared and angry, and you are a convenient target.

Patrick: Yeah, of course he's angry. He should be. I should have never let him do the surgery. It was my specialty. I've done that so many times I could do it in my sleep.

Robin: Matt insisted on doing that surgery.

Patrick: Yeah, but he doesn't know how difficult it can be, or how many mistakes can happen. I do.

Robin: Okay, well, if we're being honest, then I'm partly to blame. I mean, I was the one that had my heart set on family day at the park with you, me, and Emma.

Patrick: Robin, don't do that, okay, because I'm allowed a life still.

Robin: You're also a dedicated physician, and if I wasn't recovering from postpartum depression, you would have never blown off that surgery, and you know that.

[Johnny plays Chopin]

Diane: I have absolutely no sympathy for our very married mayor. If he didn't want to get caught, he shouldn't have been in a hotel room playing mattress tag with his secretary.

Alexis: I agree. It was inexcusable.

Diane: And sleazy and sordid.

Alexis: All of the above. But then again, he couldn't have known that she would hit her head on the shower and pass out.

Diane: It's still despicable behavior. Of course, it would have been much easier to really hate him if he didn't have that noble nose and those Bermuda blue eyes. The insatiable bastard -- but, look, it's all fun and games until somebody is dead.

Alexis: And that if this does get out, certainly Floyd's career will be ruined.

Diane: Alexis, he has material evidence on the case. I have to subpoena him.

Alexis: Like I said, that would be awful for him, and worse, his wife.

Diane: Would it really be so awful if our illustrious Mayor Floyd stepped down and took his loose zipper with him -- and you ran for mayor?

[Alexis sighs]

Maxie: I just can't picture Kate as a blackmail victim.

Spinelli: Well, we have proof that it is so.

Maxie: I know, but every time I try to wrap my head around it, it just goes in circles.

Spinelli: Maybe you're distracted by the slick musical stylings of the mob prince.

Maxie: No, I've heard Johnny play before.

Spinelli: You've never recounted such an experience to me.

Maxie: It wasn't a big deal. We were just at a party in New York at a townhouse, and we got kind of bored, so we wandered around, and then Johnny found a room with a piano, so he played a few pieces.

Spinelli: A Steinway, no doubt, moonlight falling through the tall casement windows, Manhattan skyline in the distance?

Maxie: Not even. He was playing all these boring classical pieces that were kind of putting me to sleep, so I left, went back to the party.

[Diane clears throat]

Diane: And there he is now, Dr. Matt Hunter.

[Diane laughs]

Diane: He doesn't look old enough to drive, let alone cut into someone's brain.

Matt: Hello. You owe me a date. And I am collecting -- tonight.

Rebecca: Set up a time for that Texas hold 'em game yet?

Ethan: Ah, no, I'm still waiting to hear back from Luke.

Rebecca: Oh, is he around?

Ethan: Not at the moment. I'm here alone, actually.

Rebecca: You could have told me that from the start, you know.

Ethan: Yeah, but where's the fun in that?

Rebecca: Okay, so look, the plan isn't working.

Ethan: Since when?

Rebecca: Nikolas has been avoiding me since he found out that I'm Emily's sister. And the truth is, I don't blame him. I can -- I can see his side.

Ethan: Okay, you're not supposed to sympathize with Nikolas. You're supposed to take a piece of his fortune and split it with me.

Rebecca: I should have done this my way from the start.

Ethan: Oh, yeah, just showing up on their doorstep with your hand out, the tortured twin, begging for alms?

Rebecca: Yeah, and the Quartermaines would have welcomed me. It would have bought me more time with Nikolas.

Ethan: So you think Nikolas has reservations?

Nikolas: Reservations for what?

Patrick: Okay, I may have shifted my priorities a little bit because of your postpartum depression, but I don't have any regrets.

Robin: But Brianna Hughes was an emergency.

Patrick: Yes, but, Robin, Matt wanted to do the surgery, I said yes, and that's on me.

Robin: Okay, all cards on the table, though -- do you really think that Brianna Hughes died because of malpractice?

Patrick: I'm certain that Matt did the best he could. But it wasn't good enough.

Robin: And you would have been.

Patrick: Well, look, I know how egotistical it sounds, but I'm a better surgeon than him. I have more experience, and I keep thinking, if it wasn't my brother, then would I have made the same decision?

Robin: What do you mean?

Patrick: Matt asked me to have faith in him. It was important to him, so I said yes. I could have saved that woman, but now she's dead, because I wanted to boost my brother's confidence.

Alexis: Well, you can't sue Dr. Hunter for being young.

Diane: How about for being inexperienced?

Alexis: Brianna Hughes' family is obviously grief-stricken. And understandably, they want to find some way to lash out.

Diane: Appropriately so. Brianna Hughes died unnecessarily. This lawsuit will ensure that future patients don't suffer unnecessarily at Dr. Hunter's hands.

Spinelli: Begone, unwanted physician. The Jackal is Maximista's chosen companion.

Matt: You agreed to a date, and I'm tired of waiting.

Maxie: Oh, you're going to be waiting awhile.

Matt: Yeah? But you -- you promised.

Maxie: I lied. I'm not going out with you.

Matt: Oh, come on, why not? Really, I mean, you just don't like doctors, or you prefer geeks that hang on your every word?

Maxie: I prefer Spinelli over any other guy, especially you.

Matt: Yeah? Okay, enlighten me. What's -- what's the guy's appeal?

Maxie: Well, he's brilliant and sweet and kind, and I happen to love him.

Matt: Yeah, you love him -- like a lap dog. Why not try somebody real for a change?

Spinelli: Look, the lady said no.

Matt: And I say get lost.

[Diane gasps]

Man: I'm giving you one last chance.

Sam: You just get out.

Man: Hand it over.

Sam: Go to hell.

Man: You just pushed me too far, little lady.

Sam: Take your hands off of me!

Man: We're going for a ride. Maybe the fresh air will change your mind.

Sam: Maybe this will change yours. Stop!

Michael: I lost a whole year of my life. I want it back.

Claudia: It's not going to come back, ever. What else?

Michael: The whole world is a year older than me. All my friends are going to be ahead of me in school. Everybody's going to treat me like a freak.

Claudia: You don't know that. Michael, you don't know what's going to happen.

Michael: I know that they got to live while I was lying in bed. Even my younger sister, Kristina, has more experience than I do -- a lot more.

Claudia: Okay, but it's going to get better every single day --

Michael: Unless it gets worse.

Claudia: Okay, look, let's do this. Let's figure out some goals for you that we can set that don't have anything to do with getting that year of your life back.

Michael: Well, I definitely want people to treat me for the age that I am, not the age I was when I got shot. And I want my mom to stop babying me. I'm not her little boy anymore, you know?

Claudia: Yes.

Michael: Are you okay?

Claudia: Yeah, I'm good, I'm fine. I think I'm just tired. I'm a little --

Michael: You want to head back?

Claudia: If you do. It's okay?

Michael: I have to face my mom eventually. Might as well get it over with.

Claudia: So, did we figure anything out here, or --

Michael: I need to live twice as much and twice as hard, to make up for lost time.

Carly: Of course, part of my reason for wanting Michael home with me is purely selfish, absolutely. I am beyond thrilled that he is okay. I mean, when I look at him and I see him walking around and talking --

Sonny: It's a miracle that he's even walking and talking.

[Carly sighs]

Carly: And he's also having to adjust to life, and that is turning out to be a lot harder than I realized.

Sonny: I can make the transition a little easier.

Carly: He's got to have boundaries, Sonny. And I can give him that.

Sonny: I can, too.

Carly: We'll make a deal. You know, we made a deal that Michael was going to live with me, Jax, and Morgan.

Sonny: But sometimes, you know, deals can be broken. Is it so wrong for him to live here?

Claudia: Hey, we're back.

Rebecca: I was just trying to explain that you like to make reservations for everything, even card games. So that's why I invited you here early, so we could have a little time to ourselves.

Nikolas: Oh, is the casino even open tonight?

Ethan: Oh, we're always open for you. The rest of the world will have to wait until Luke shows up and decides he wants to call the staff in. So until then, the place is yours. What'll it be?

Rebecca: Blackjack, right?

Nikolas: You're the card shark.

Rebecca: Okay, blackjack it is. I thought playing cards would give us a chance to unwind a little bit.

Nikolas: That's fine. I don't mind losing my shirt, I guess.

Rebecca: So I was wondering if you got my messages.

Nikolas: Yeah, yeah, I got them.

Rebecca: Did I say anything wrong, or anything that offended you?

Nikolas: No. No, not at all.

Rebecca: Then why have you been avoiding me since you found out I'm Emily's sister?

Man: Just give me what I came for, or you're out of business permanently.

Jason: You okay?

Sam: Yeah, I'm fine.

Jason: Okay, just take a walk. I'll get rid of him by the time you get here.

Sam: No, no, you can't he's a cop. His name's Callahan, and he's working for the mayor.

Jason: What does he want?

Sam: I was working on a case that got a little bit more complicated than I expected. I think this could land us both in jail.

Johnny: Hey, you need help with that jerk?

Spinelli: I would rather be waxed with hot coals than accept your help right now.

Maxie: You jerk! You hit Spinelli for no reason!

Matt: He was annoying me. It was like nails on a chalkboard.

Maxie: What is wrong with you? You're more obnoxious than usual.

Matt: Just, you know, I don't -- Maxie, just wait, wait --

Spinelli: Let her go!

Matt: Or what, you're going to make me?

Diane: Oh, yes, that's the behavior of a responsible physician.

Maxie: Come on, Spinelli, let's get out of here.

Matt: You better go before you get hurt.

Maxie: Spinelli!

Johnny: All right, time to go, buddy.

Matt: Yeah? Oh, make me. Come on.

Robin: Don't you think you're being a little hard on yourself? I mean, no surgery is 100%, right? Every patient is unique?

Patrick: Right.

Robin: So, what if Brianna's injuries were too great? I mean, what if she would have died anyway?

Patrick: Then that is on me, like I said. I am the one that should be dealing with this lawsuit. Thank you.

Robin: For what?

Patrick: For listening to me, for letting me just say this.

Robin: I'm not sure I'm helping.

[Phone rings]

Robin: Hello.

Matt: All right, come on.

Coleman: Robin? Hey, it's Coleman. I'm trying to reach Patrick. Is he with you?

Matt: I barely touched the kid.

Robin: Hold on. It's Coleman.

Patrick: What's up?

Coleman: Hey, look, you might want to get over here to Jake's and pick up what's left of your brother, because he's in -- he's in some pretty big trouble.

[Matt groans]

Michael: Mom, I'm sorry I took off. I know you were worried. I should have called or something.

Carly: I'm just glad you're okay.

Sonny: We're going to have to work something out, though, because this can't happen again.

Michael: That's easy. Let me live with you, Dad.

Sonny: I already made an agreement with your mother that you're going to be living with her.

Michael: What, I don't get a vote?

Carly: Your parents get to decide. And Jax thinks you should live with us, as well.

Michael: Well, what about Claudia? She is just as much of a parent as Jax is. What do you think?

Claudia: I think that you should live with your mother for now.
