Patrick: Very, very nice.

Robin: It's perfect. I'm not supposed to do that.

Patrick: Do what?

Robin: Expect perfect. That's how I got in trouble to begin with. I set the bar so high, nobody could reach it.

Patrick: Well, I don't expect perfect, but it looks really great. It feels really good.

Robin: Then you won't be disappointed that we're having take-out from Marcello’s?

Patrick: No, that just means we can heat it up whenever we want it. Maybe later.

Robin: Mm, how much later?

Patrick: Depends how hungry you are.

[Emma babbles]

Robin: Emma.

Patrick: That's her happy sound.

Robin: I want to check on her just to make sure.

Sonny: You two supposedly hate each other, so why are you sniffing around Claudia and the baby like a German Shepherd?

Ric: I just happened to be in the hospital. I heard your wife fell down the stairs. When I came to check on her, I found her alone and terrified.

Sonny: That's the what. I haven't heard the why.

Ric: Well, maybe the bigger question is, Sonny, where the hell were you?

Michael: I can't believe you fell down the stairs.

Carly: I'm thinking about taking up stunt work. Maybe I can be the next female action hero.

Michael: Is there anything I can do?

Carly: You know, a hug would be nice.

[Carly sighs]

Carly: You know what I think? I think everything is going to be fine.

Nikolas: Am I interrupting?

Ethan: No, not at all. In fact, I was hoping you'd stop by. We have something very important to discuss.

Ethan: I should think Nikolas would be very interested.

Nikolas: In what?

Ethan: Poker, a high stakes Texas hold 'em tournament at the haunted star.

Rebecca: Texas hold 'em is my game, yeah.

Ethan: She only says that because she wins. It's time for the house to try and win some of it back. Unfortunately, Ms. Shaw can't afford the buy-in.

Rebecca: I got lucky on the turn a couple of times and I'm using the winnings to pay down my credit card debt, so I just can't afford to play anymore.

Ethan: You know, I'm thinking you might like to stake this lovely lady and then buy into a game yourself.

Rebecca: Given the unscrupulous nature of Mr. Levitt's character --

Ethan: It's Lovett.

Rebecca: I expect that there is going to be some cheating involved. But if you buy in and I can get some assurances that the game is legit, then, you know, I might be interested in making an evening of it.

Ethan: So are you up for flirting with chance?

Nikolas: No, no, that's not something I really care to discuss right now. I need to see Ms. Shaw alone.

Ethan: Very well. If you change your mind, let me know, both of you. You got to keep your eye on the prize.

Rebecca: You don't look very happy.

Nikolas: I just came from Alexis.

Rebecca: Oh, great. What crazy thing is she accusing me of this time?

Nikolas: This time I don't think it's that crazy.

Robin: Emma is fine.

Patrick: Yeah, I figured so.

Robin: Aren't you going to have some wine? I can't have any, not supposed to with the antidepressants.

Patrick: I just didn't think it was really fair for me to drink wine when you're stuck with sparkling agua.

Robin: No, it's not fair for you to deprive yourself. Besides, I will drink my sparkling water and we can celebrate the fact that I'm on meds and I'm doing so much better that I won't have to be on them forever.

Patrick: Okay, then. To new beginnings, I guess, right?

Robin: Yeah.

[Banging noise]

Robin: What was that?

Patrick: It's probably the shutter on the back porch. I just forgot to tighten it.

Robin: Oh.

Patrick: Robin.

Robin: Hmm?

Patrick: Emma loves you.

Robin: I know. I know. I just feel like I owe her something and I know maybe she has no idea what's going on and, you know, doesn't judge me. She probably loves me anyway.

Patrick: So do you think that I don't? I know you were sick. That's not a character weakness any more than having HIV is.

Robin: With HIV, you know, I took the medicine. It was black and white. It changed my life, but I could control it. With postpartum depression, I would find myself doing things and saying things and thinking, who are you? Anyway, now that I understand what was going on, I'm trying to accept it. It's just the hardest part is forgiving myself.

Patrick: Yeah, well, you're too hard on yourself, then.

Robin: I don't know how you could ever trust me again. God, when did I become so high-maintenance?

Patrick: If you keep me at arm's length, we're going to end up lost. Unless, of course, it's what you want.

Robin: No, I want to be the woman that you want. And I want to be the best mom that Emma deserves.

Patrick: You're already the woman that I want. And Emma, well, she's just going to have to make up her own mind. So what do you say? Look here.

Robin: All right.

Patrick: To new beginnings again?

Robin: Yes. To new beginnings.

Patrick: Cheers.

Robin: Mm, yum.

[Robin laughs]

Patrick: I'm in this for the long haul, all right? You just have to let me know what it's going to take.

Robin: Okay. Well, if I start to go overboard with our daughter, I want you to just sit me on the couch and say, stop.

Patrick: Okay, well, what about laying on the couch, because that sounds like a great idea to me.

Robin: I don't want to disappoint you.

Patrick: You couldn't disappoint me.

[Phone rings]

Patrick: That could.

[Robin chuckles]

Robin: Are you kidding me? You know, you're a doctor, duty calls.

Patrick: Dr. Drake. Yes, you are interrupting, Epiphany. I know you don't care. Okay, well, tie him down until I get there. I'm on my way. Michael is back. I will try not to be long, okay?

Robin: Okay.

Sonny: I still don't understand why you are hovering over my wife and baby.

Ric: Yeah, well, somebody has to. So where were you?

Claudia: Don't use me and my baby to make a guilt trip for Sonny. He doesn't have anything to feel bad about.

Ric: Oh, yeah? Not yet.

Claudia: Would you leave me alone?

Ric: So where were you instead of being here with your wife? Or is the fact that Claudia fell down a flight of stairs and might lose your baby not a priority? I take it you were with Carly.

Sonny: Get out or I will throw you out.

Ric: Oh, see? There it is. It always comes back --

Sonny: Get out!

Ric: Get used to it, Claudia.

Sonny: Sometimes --

Claudia: Well, was he right? Were you with Carly? Is that where you were at?

Sonny: Why do you have to worry about that right now?

Claudia: Because you know what? Carly hates me. Why would you go to her?

Sonny: I needed to find out what happened.

Claudia: But I told you what happened. I told you and -- Carly hates me, wants me to miscarry, but you still care more about her and her baby than you do about me and our baby?

Sonny: All right, all right, all right.

Claudia: Where are you going now, Sonny?

Sonny: I'm gonna find Dr. Lee. Maybe she can give you something to calm you down.

Carly: Jax, can you get a chair? Michael looks really tired.

Michael: I'm okay.

Jax: You know, perhaps Michael should go back to his room. Patrick Drake is on his way to the hospital.

Carly: I'd like him to stay here for a little while, if that's what you want.

Michael: Sure.

Jax: Okay. I'm going to make some calls anyway, so here, Michael, sit down.

Carly: Thanks. Careful.

Jax: I'll be back soon, okay?

Carly: Okay, bye.

Jax: It's good to have you back.

Michael: Why, so Mom doesn't have to worry about me?

Jax: Well, that and because I love you, too, Michael. I'll see you soon.

Carly: So Jason said that you were restless. Is that why you left the hospital?

Michael: I don't like this place.

Carly: I don't blame you. So it wasn't anything Claudia said?

Michael: What's that supposed to mean?

Carly: Well, Claudia told someone that she may have said something to upset you.

Michael: Why would she say that?

Carly: I heard her talking to her brother right before I fell down the stairs. So I was wondering what Claudia said or what you guys talked about that would made her think she made you take off.

Michael: I told her something about what I remembered -- or I thought I remembered her telling me when she came to see me.

Carly: When she came to see you where?

Michael: The place you put me, the Aftercare Institute. Claudia said that she used to visit me there. Sometimes I remember her telling me that she's sorry. But when I brought it up, she's the one who got upset, not me.

Carly: I wonder what Claudia has to be sorry about.

Carly: I didn't know you remembered anything from your coma. Do you think it was a dream?

Michael: No, it felt real. I can hear Claudia's voice and sort of make out a couple words. She sounds upset. You know, I don't know, maybe it was just my imagination.

Carly: If it wasn't Claudia that upset you, then why did you take off?

Michael: This nurse came in to change my bandage and she left to get something, so I left. It was too good an opportunity.

Carly: I'm glad you're okay, I am. And don't give Claudia a second thought. I'm going to talk to her and figure out what she was going on and on about.

Michael: Take it easy on Claudia. She's nice to me. Maybe she's just sorry that I got hurt in the first place.

Carly: Everybody was. And so many people came to see you. Do you remember anybody else?

Michael: Like?

Carly: Jax, Grandma Bobbie, Me? I spent so much time in your room, they were going to bring a cot in. And I talked to you all the time. Do you remember my voice?

Michael: No, Mom, I really don't.

Olivia: Okay, I will get that fax off for you tonight. The landscaper called. I think I told you to reschedule that appointment. And I spoke to Mercedes, let her know that Michael was okay. She said Morgan was already asleep. He didn't even know his brother went AWOL.

Jax: Thanks, that's great.

Olivia: But you're not. What's going on?

Jax: Oh, it's Michael.

Olivia: I thought you said he was okay.

Jax: No, he's okay. It's just -- he's recovering fine. I'm just concerned that he's going to keep putting Carly and the baby in danger with his erratic behavior.

Olivia: Oh.

Jax: Trying to get Carly to understand that is not an easy task.

Olivia: Well, speaking as a mother, not even the pope gets to tell me how to raise my own kid, so --

Jax: Well, then I don't know what to do.

Olivia: Well, you suck it up.

Jax: Suck it up? That's a lot of help.

Olivia: For now, you suck it up and you find a way to navigate this minefield until the baby comes, everyone is safe and healthy. You fighting with Michael right now is just going to make trouble between you and Carly. Because I don't care how much you love the man in your life, when you're a mother, your child comes first.

Jax: Yeah.

Kristina: Hi, Mom.

Alexis: Hi, honey.

Kristina: Molly is already asleep. There is a casserole in the oven, and I saved you the other half of my brownie.

Alexis: Well, did you find the secret to world peace while you were at it? You are such a good, good kid.

Alexis: Chemistry, yuck. I stunk at that.

Kristina: It's easy.

Alexis: For you. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but you work too hard.

Kristina: Gee, I wonder where I get that from.

Alexis: Gee. You know what? I think you should have some fun. Why don't you have a girlfriend sleep over or something?

Kristina: Not on a school night.

Alexis: Sorry.

Kristina: Anyway, we haven't had time together in weeks, and I stayed up so we could talk.

Alexis: I love that. Okay. All right, good. We're going to need more than half a brownie for that, though. Okay, so what's up?

Kristina: There was kind of a misunderstanding tonight. And I bet you Dad is going to get the wrong impression and be mad at me.

Alexis: Well, forget about your dad for the moment and tell me what happened.

Nikolas: This is an FBI file on you.

Rebecca: I've never been in trouble with the FBI.

Nikolas: Well, Alexis is the D.A. She was able to call in some favors and gain access to sealed records -- medical records. And as it turns out, there's a very good reason why you look exactly like Emily. She was your twin sister.

Rebecca: That's not true.

Nikolas: Well --

Rebecca: I know who my parents are. I know where I was born. I'm Rebecca Shaw. I'm an only child.

Nikolas: The couple who raised you kept the truth from you, as did Emily's parents. Hank and Paige Bowen are your birth parents.

Rebecca: I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

Nikolas: So you had no idea?

Rebecca: No, of course, I didn't. How did this happen?

Nikolas: Okay -- you were sold.

Rebecca: They sold me?

Nikolas: It was a private adoption where money was exchanged. It's actually not all that uncommon.

Rebecca: It's sick.

Nikolas, what are you talking about?

Rebecca: It's not true. My parents loved me. Oh, my God. I had a sister.

Nikolas: Are you all right?

Rebecca: I just found out my whole life is a lie, Nikolas. What do you think?

Jax: How's everyone doing?

Patrick: Well, Michael is making good progress. He could be out of here sooner than he thinks, but don't tell him I said so.

Carly: Did you hear that?

Patrick: Listen, follow my finger. Any headaches? Double vision?

Michael: Nope.

Patrick: Any cognitive changes? And don't tell me what you think I want to hear.

Michael: I'm not even sure what you mean by that.

Carly: Honey, what about the memories? That's a big deal. Michael says that he's remembering stuff that was said to him when he was in the coma.

Jax: What kind of memories?

Michael: I remember Claudia talking to me.

Jax: Is that possible?

Michael: I didn't make it up.

Patrick: Yes, yes, it's very possible there's a good chance that Michael could remember everything that was said to him while he was in a coma.

Kristina: Jason doesn't get that I was just trying to help my friend.

Alexis: Chandler.

Kristina: I wanted to get her out of that club, but before I could even find her, Jason grabs me and makes me go home with him.

Alexis: He took you to his apartment?

Kristina: At first, but he couldn't get a hold of you, so he brought me back here. Next thing I know, Michael shows up and then Jason is back like some bounty hunter from hell. He insisted on dragging Michael back to the hospital.

Alexis: He can be a little heavy-handed.

Kristina: He doesn't listen to me or answer when I talk to him. It's like I'm not even there.

Alexis: He's a man of few words. But he also isn't one to tell tales, so he's not going to tell your father if that's what you're worried about.

Kristina: Not like dad would care.

Alexis: Your dad cares. Whatever issues that you have with your father, it is nothing that you've done. It is not your fault. The problem is between your dad and me, okay?

[Cell phone rings]

Alexis: Sorry, honey.

Kristina: They need you at the office.

Alexis: They do. They do -- a suspect on a new case. I have to be there for the -- for the line-up. Why don't we talk about this later, okay?

Kristina: Mom?

Alexis: What, honey?

Kristina: You work too hard.

Alexis: Ha ha.

Kristina: You need to have some fun. Why don't you invite Diane for a sleepover?

Alexis: You are so funny. I have such a funny, funny kid. Please don't stay up too late, all right? And I love you.

Kristina: I love you, too.

Nikolas: You want to call your parents?

Rebecca: Yeah -- no. I don't know what I would say to them or what they would say to me. Why couldn't they have told me the truth?

Nikolas: People have all kinds of reasons for keeping secrets.

Rebecca: Yeah, who knows? Maybe they thought I'd freak out if I found out that I -- that I'm adopted, that I had a sister. Wow, you really were right, weren't you, Nikolas?

Nikolas: Yeah, I guess. Look, Alexis is convinced that you showing up here in the same town that Emily lived in is beyond coincidence. She thinks that you showed up here deliberately. I --

Rebecca: Oh, yeah, but your aunt also thought I had plastic surgery so that I could work with your grandmother, so I really don't believe anything Alexis has to say. All I care about is what you think. Do you honestly think I knew what was in that file? I mean, do you think that everything that we've been through since I got here is a lie?

Sonny: You're a sight for sore eyes.

Olivia: And you look like hell. Are you all right?

Sonny: I had a rough, rough evening.

Olivia: Yeah, Michael runs away and both the pregnant women in your life fall down the stairs. You're still the king of the understatements. Nice.

Sonny: You heard.

Olivia: Yeah, it's the center of gossip right here. How is Claudia?

Sonny: Not so good. They're trying to save the baby.

Olivia: So what are you doing here? You need to be with her.

Sonny: I know. What do you -- I know I should be with her and I know that I created this baby who's in trouble, and when I look at Claudia, I believe she's afraid. I believe she's desperate. And I even feel sorry for her sometimes.

Olivia: But?

Sonny: But every time I turn around, my brother's by her side. And when I say something, he turns my words around or he doesn't want to answer my questions. Look, I don't -- I don't trust Ric and I don't trust Claudia. I've got a lot of things to think about. I've got a lot of things to sort out. I just don't know where to go with it, you know?

Olivia: Why don't you go talk to a friend?

Claudia: You hang in there, little baby. You're going to be okay. I know you are. I can tell.

Ric: That's good to hear.

Claudia: Ric, you need to get out of here before Sonny comes back.

Ric: Yeah, well, I got a feeling he's going to be gone for awhile. Come on, Claudia. Don't you wonder what other woman who's more understanding has his attention right now while you're here trying to brave this whole thing alone?

Claudia: You know, you're not helping the situation. You're just making it worse. Your excuses are becoming more and more transparent. Sonny's going to figure it out.

Ric: What is he going to figure out, Claudia, that this child could be mine? I mean, why don't we just tell my brother the truth, that he could more likely be the uncle of this child than its father.

Claudia: I'm not going to tell him any such thing, and you better not either if you know what's good for you.

Ric: Well, I'm more concerned about what's good for the baby. Now, the stress of all this can't be good for your pregnancy. I think we should get it out in the open.

Claudia: And lose my husband?

Ric: So what, Claudia? Huh? Would that really be the worst thing that happened to you?

Patrick: What are you reading?

Robin: Oh, a journal on neuropsychiatry and neurosciences.

Patrick: Just can't get enough, huh?

Robin: No, there's an interesting article on the neuro-anatomy of pathological laughing and crying.

Patrick: Did you eat without me?

Robin: No, not without my husband. So tell me, how is Michael?

Patrick: Well, he's obstinate. He's confused. It's just difficult because there's not much research on cases like this. So the only thing I can say is that he's making good progress. Thank you for waiting for me to eat.

Robin: Of course. See, you thought that I would use your work as an excuse to avoid you, avoid us. I actually thought about it for a second, and then I realized that we deserve better and I love you.

Patrick: Is that a news flash?  Because I was just under the impression that --

Robin: No, I've always loved you. I just haven't been very nice to you.

Patrick: Well, that wasn't really you, was it?

Robin: See? Just like that. I mean, how many men would have stayed? The guy that I met a few years ago would have bailed.

Patrick: That was before I realized what was important.

Robin: Well, you deserve an award for what I've put you through.

Patrick: No, not really. I could have been better. I could have been more patient, less angry.

Robin: Give yourself some credit, please.

Patrick: Okay, well, do you have an extra cookie lying around? I'll eat that.

Robin: Will I do?

Patrick: You'd be perfect.

Patrick: Are you sure? You know you're everything to me and we can take our time if -- you just have to tell me to stop.

Robin: No, I don't want you to stop.

Nikolas: Anyone in your place would be upset.

Rebecca: Sorry Alexis found this. I didn't need to know. I wish she hadn't told me.

Nikolas: I'm sorry. We both know how overprotective she is when she couldn't find a connection between you and Helena, she dug this up.

Rebecca: So she could hate me even more, the evil twin out to seek revenge for being sold like a loaf of bread.

Nikolas: That's true. She probably will spin it in the worst possible way.

Rebecca: I don't care about her.

Nikolas: Okay.

Rebecca: What do you think?

Nikolas: What do I think? I believe that everything happens for a reason. I believe that you came to Port Charles to follow a real connection you had to Emily, that some part of you you didn't even know existed sent you to a place where your sister lived. That's what I believe.

Rebecca: That's so sweet. It's incredibly romantic, but I'm not sure I believe it.

Nikolas, I don't know what's true anymore.

Nikolas: I know. It's okay. It's a lot to process.

Rebecca: It's just everything people try to tell me, you know, I didn't want to believe it. I kept pushing it all away. I thought it didn't have anything to do with me, but it did. It does. Emily's my sister and now I'll never get to know her. It's like I've lost --

Nikolas: Like a piece of yourself? I know.

Rebecca: There's only one chance that I'll get to know her. The closest that I'll ever get to her is you.

Nikolas: Come with me. I want to show you someplace.

Robin: I didn't know I could ever feel like this again.

Patrick: Well, it's official. You can now call me "Dr. Love."

Robin: I guess it makes sense that we should heal ourselves, right? A couple of highly regarded professionals like ourselves?

Patrick: Yes, and in my professional opinion, you have to take two of these and call me in the morning.

Robin: Only two? I could get addicted. I've missed you so much. I've missed being like this. I can't believe I almost threw it all away.

Patrick: But you didn't. And as much as I wouldn't want to go back to where to we were, it's good we both realized that we wanted to fight for it.

Robin: Yeah.

[Emma babbles]

Patrick: Do you want to go get her?

Robin: No, that's her happy sound.

Olivia: You know, Sonny, it gives me no pleasure to know that I was right about you and Claudia. Seeing you stuck in this loveless marriage has just -- it breaks my heart.

Sonny: I married Claudia for a lot of different reasons, and I stay married for all wrong ones.

Olivia: All of them? How many are there?

Sonny: Power, politics --

Olivia: Michael.

Sonny: Michael?

Olivia: You married Claudia because you feel guilty about what happened to Michael, to punish yourself.

Sonny: Do you think you know me better than I know myself?

Olivia: Michael's awake.

Sonny: Claudia's pregnant and she got in a fight with Carly. I don't know exactly what happened because everybody gives me different stories.

Olivia: Do you think maybe you're going to believe Claudia's story over Carly's?

Sonny: You know I got to give her the benefit of the doubt.

Olivia: I'm sorry, why?

Sonny: Because she's carrying my child.

Olivia: Okay, see, I don't know how to say this. Having a baby can bring out the best in a person.

Sonny: Right.

Olivia: It can bring out the best qualities, but it's not a magic wand, Sonny. Some of those good qualities have to be there to start with.

Sonny: And you think you can be --

Olivia: I'm sorry. I'm sorry. When I look at Claudia, I do not see a good person.

Sonny: You think you're the one that can be objective about this?

Olivia: Okay, okay, okay, don't --

Sonny: No, I'm not trying to --

Olivia: Don't shoot the messenger here, okay? In your case, I mean that literally. I just -- I don't know. Trust your instincts, Sonny, okay?

Ric: You know, you're putting a lot of faith in a man who doesn't care about you.

Claudia: I'm giving Sonny a child.

Ric: You're giving Sonny an inconvenience. Michael is a child that he wants. Now he's got him back.

Claudia: He's going to love this child, too.

Ric: Yeah, but he's not going to love you, Claudia. Now that's a toxic mix you don't want to bring a child into. Why don't you think about the baby?

Claudia: Why don't you think about -- why don't you think about the baby, Ric? I'm supposed to be resting.

Ric: I know what I got to do.

Claudia: If you tell Sonny that you're the father of this child, then I will miscarry. Can you live with that? You want that on your conscience, Ric?

Claudia: You just hold on there. My life depends on it.

Sonny: What's going on?

Claudia: What's going on? I don't know. I'm terrified. I almost lost the baby. Where the hell were you?

Sonny: I just had to talk to some people, but you weren't exactly lonely because I saw Ric leaving your room. My brother seems to be, you know, he's like, he can't resist you. Why don't you tell me what that's about?

Nikolas: The Quartermaines wanted Emily with them and that was it. She loved them very much. They gave her a whole new life after her mother died.

Rebecca: Did you ever meet Paige Bowen?

Nikolas: No, that all happened before I moved here. I'm sorry, but there is nothing I can tell you about your birth mother.

Rebecca: You told me about Emily before, but I was just too busy being defensive to really hear you but, you know, it's different now. So I want to know. What was my sister really like?

Nikolas: Well, she was sweet, generous, kind, funny -- really funny. I mean, she could always make me laugh. She was everything.

Rebecca: She was perfect.

Nikolas: No, no, she wasn't. And she'd be the first one to tell you she's far from it.

Rebecca: What if things were different, Nikolas? You know, if she were still alive? What if Emily had been the first person that I bumped into that day at G.H. instead of you? What would she have thought about me?

Nikolas: I think at first she would have been shocked, obviously, and upset that her parents gave you away. Then once she accepted what happened, I think she would have been ecstatic to know that she had a sister like you.

Rebecca: What about you? Does the fact that I'm Emily's sister change things for us?

Carly: Michael's back in his room resting comfortably.

Jax: Yeah, you should try that.

Carly: I'm fine. I think it's a good thing that Michael took off from the hospital.

Jax: How is that good? It ended with you taking a fall.

Carly: Yeah, but it brought us closer. It felt so good to hug him and to hold him. Maybe this was the breakthrough we needed, you know? Maybe now things are going to be back to normal. Michael's going to come home with us and Morgan's going to have his big brother. And after this baby's born, our whole family is going to be complete.

Claudia's voice: I'm sorry, Michael. I'm so sorry.

Jax's voice: I'm sorry, Michael.

Claudia: Ric is -- look, he knows I'm a captive audience. I had to threaten to call security to get him to leave.

Sonny: That still doesn't explain why he was here.

Claudia: Sonny, you know how he is. If it has your name on it, then he wants it, including me and our baby and whatever else.

Sonny: Is the baby mine?

Claudia: Of course it is. Sonny, our marriage is unconventional, but I've been faithful to you.

Sonny: Just in case, I want you to have an amnio just, you know, so we can make sure that I'm really the father.
