Nikolas: I don’t know where you got your information, but Emily didn't have a sister, twin or otherwise.

Alexis: The report's in these records. Hank and Paige Bowen gave birth to twin daughters. Given the circumstances of the adoption, it seems reasonable that Emily didn't know that she had a twin sister. On the other hand, I believe that Rebecca did. Which is why she's here in Port Charles.

Rebecca: I thought we agreed, no contact once we got to town.

Ethan: Well, a lot has happened. I needed to see you.

Rebecca: Yeah, okay. So is our cover blown?

Ethan: No, no. I'm just -- I'm just a little off balance. It's been so long.

Rebecca: Ethan, stop. I'm sorry.

Ethan: What's wrong?

Jason: I know that Michael's here.

Kristina: Sorry to disappoint, but I haven't seen him all night.

Jason: You're not doing him any favors by hiding him.

Kristina: And you're not keeping your eyes on my face.

[Jason sighs]

Jason: Hey, can you help me? I'm at Alexis' house right now. Can you come over here? All right, thanks.

Kristina: Calling Dad? You think he's going to be happy that you're staring at his half-naked daughter?

Carly: My son left this hospital because of you? What the hell did you say to him?

Claudia: What are you talking about?

Carly: I heard you talking to Johnny, and you said he ran away because of you. What did you say to him?

Claudia: I'm not doing this with you right now.

Carly: Yes, you are.

Claudia: No, I'm not.

Sonny: Carly?

Elizabeth: Claudia?

Jax: Carly?

Jason: Michael needs to go back to the hospital.

Kristina: Sorry to disappoint, but I haven't seen him all night.

Jason: Okay, Kristina, this is serious. He just had a major surgery. Do you want to be responsible if he collapses?

Kristina: No, I don't. So it's lucky he's not here.

Jason: Michael, I'm not leaving without you.

Kristina: What are you, deaf? I told you I haven't seen him all night.

Jason: No, you're lying to me.

Kristina: You're waiting for an invitation to come in, aren't you? You don't care that I'm underage.

Jason: Michael, please don't make me listen to any more of this.

Kristina: I could get you in a lot of trouble. If Daddy doesn't care, my mom will. And she's the D.A.

Michael: Look, Jason's not leaving. And you're weirding me out.

Jason: Let's go.

Kristina: You don't have to cave to him.

Jason: I'm driving you back to the hospital.

Kristina: What, are you going to drag him out of here? What if you hurt him? He's recovering from brain surgery.

Sam: Kristina, come on. Put on some clothes, now.

Michael: Okay, you found me. Call Mom and tell her it's another job well done.

Jax: Carly, can you hear me? Carly.

Epiphany: Dr. Kelly Lee for the 10th-floor nurses' station, stat.

Elizabeth: Jax, you're going to need to back up, please.

Jax: Is she going to be okay?

Elizabeth: Her vitals appear to be stable.

Jax: Hey. Hey, I'm right here.

Elizabeth: Claudia, Dr. Lee is going to be with you any minute, all right? Just hang in there.

Claudia: I feel okay.

Sonny: You're going to be okay.

Jax: Carly has a high-risk pregnancy, Dr. Lee needs to see her --

Epiphany: Mr. Jacks, I know that you're worried, but you need to stay calm.

Jax: I'm just saying that -- Carly.

Claudia: Oh, hey. Don't -- don't leave me.

Alexis: Emily and Rebecca are twins. The proof is right there, Nikolas.

Nikolas: These are private, sealed medical records. Where did you get them?

Alexis: I have friends in high places.

Nikolas: What friends? You don't have any friends.

Alexis: Very funny. Agent Rayner, okay?

Nikolas: You had the FBI -- could I get a drink, please? Thank you. You had the FBI track her down like some sort of criminal.

Alexis: You are deliberately trying to miss the point. Hank and Paige Bowen were very young when they gave birth to their twins. They couldn't afford to keep both children, so they kept Emily, and they gave Rebecca up for adoption. Let me make that clear. They sold her. Which would explain why Paige didn't tell anyone, even Emily, that this other little girl even existed.

Rebecca: You just caught me off guard, that's all.

Ethan: I mean, you came to the Haunted Star to see me, right? I know you told Nikolas that you were following him, but you were awfully surprised to see him.

Rebecca: Okay, yes. I wanted to talk to you, Ethan, but you work in a casino. It's perfectly normal for me to have a conversation with a bartender when he's pouring me a drink. There's no reason for you to be here in my room.

Ethan: Really? I can think of a few.

Rebecca: Listen, you're the one who told me to keep my eye on the prize, remember?

Ethan: A lot has happened.

Rebecca: All right, then call me. It's what we agreed on.

Ethan: Some things need to be done face to face.

Rebecca: Okay. Listen, you're the one who said that we have to follow all the rules when we get to Port Charles or it could all fall apart. Have you changed your mind about going through with it?

Ethan: Actually, I was wondering if you had.

Alexis: That's the attorney that brokered the sale of Hank and Paige’s baby. Obviously, it wasn't his first transaction, and they found a $10,000 deposit in Bowen’s bank account. After which, there were records of Rebecca with the Shaw family in Opal City, Washington.

Nikolas: Opal City? You're sure about that? Congratulations, you were very thorough.

Alexis: Why is it that this isn't even registering with you?

Nikolas: Oh, it will. It will, barring a DNA test. Look, I have no doubt that this is probably all true. It just doesn't change anything for me.

Alexis: Well, it should, because the evidence suggests that she's setting you up.

Nikolas: You don't know that.

Alexis: You think it's just a quirk of fate that she's in Washington State, and then just happens to land in Upstate New York and work at the same exact place that Emily worked at?

Nikolas: I'm just saying I'm not ready to jump to conclusions.

Alexis: Well, I'm just saying the fact that you won't even consider this a possibility is just mind-boggling.

Nikolas: Alexis, you don't have any proof that Rebecca knows right now that Emily had a twin sister.

Rebecca: Look, I came to Port Charles for a piece of what would have been mine if my parents had kept me and sold my sister. But now, it's like there's more than I thought.

Ethan: And we richly deserve it.

Rebecca: Don't worry, Ethan. You're going to get your cut. But if you blow it by coming in here, then there's no way I'm going --

Ethan: Okay, I'm not the enemy, remember? You would have blown this already if not for me. Look, do you remember how pissed off we were when the snow storm grounded all the planes and we were stranded in the airport? It turns out the storm was on our side.

Rebecca: Blue gin fizz, please.

Ethan: A drink to match your eyes.

Rebecca: Oh, smooth line. Except my eyes are brown.

Ethan: So they are. You know, I would have pegged you for more of a Gibson girl myself.

Rebecca: Ah. Wrong again. You're really batting a thousand.

Ethan: You know, believe it or not, my instincts are actually usually spot-on.

Rebecca: Oh. Maybe I'm just not as easy as most of the women you meet.

Ethan: That could very well be.

Rebecca: Are you kidding me?

Ethan: Allow me.

Rebecca: No, that's all right. I can pay for myself.

Rebecca: Hey, that's my wallet.

Ethan: It was on the floor, honest. It's okay, you can pay me back when we get into Port Charles.

Rebecca: How'd you know I was going to Port Charles?

Ethan: You also dropped this.

Rebecca: What?

[Ethan laughs]

Ethan: Look, the snow is falling, and we're -- planes are grounded, and so are we. So, what do you say we pass the time with some stimulating conversation? Do you have family in Port Charles?

Rebecca: Sort of, yeah.

Ethan: That question usually has a yes-or-no answer.

Rebecca: Just found out I was adopted. Stimulated yet?

Ethan: I'm getting there. Go on.

Rebecca: I had a twin sister I never knew about. She grew up in a mansion, and I grew up in a tract home.

Ethan: Ah, yes. So what's the plan? Are you going to waltz up to the front door with your hand open? It's a very good thing you ran into me.

Rebecca: And so much has happened since then.

Ethan: For both of us.

Claudia: This is stupid. I feel like an invalid.

Sonny: You just had a serious accident, Claudia.

Claudia: I feel fine. I want to go home, I just --

Sonny: The doctor needs to check the baby.

Claudia: There's nothing wrong with the baby. If something was wrong, I would know

Sonny: What happened? How did you fall down the stairs?

Claudia: It's hard to remember. One minute I was talking to John, and the next thing I know, Carly’s, like, on top of me, going crazy.

Sonny: Why?

Claudia: I don't know. I don't know that either. She overheard me talking to John. She heard me tell him to go look for Michael because I was worried. And the next thing I know, she's on top of me, accusing me of having something to do with Michael's disappearance as if I had him kidnapped or something.

Sonny: Based on what you said to Johnny? I mean, that's a big leap.

Claudia: Well, you know, your ex-wife is not exactly a linear thinker. I'm not sure if you noticed.

Sonny: Carly is very protective of her kids, but I don't really see a reason why she would attack you.

Claudia: Sonny, everybody can see except for you. Carly hates me. And even more now that we're having a baby.

Carly: Michael.

Jax: Carly.

Carly: Michael?

Jax: Relax, relax, relax.

[Carly sighs]

Jax: Hey.

Carly: What happened?

Jax: You had a fall. You were knocked unconscious.

Carly: What about the baby?

Kelly: We did an ultrasound, and we're waiting for the results of the blood test. For now, I'm cautiously optimistic.

Carly: That bitch Claudia --

Kelly: Carly. Carly, you need to stay calm. You're very fortunate this wasn't worse.

Carly: Yeah.

Jax: What happened on the stairs? Did you have another dizzy spell?

Carly: No, I heard Claudia talking to her brother. She said Michael ran away because of her.

Jax: I thought Claudia was trying to befriend Michael.

Carly: I heard her, Jax. And when I confronted her, she went to walk away, and I grabbed her arm and she practically pushed me down the stairs. I'm going to go find Michael.

Jax: No, no, no, no. No, no, Sonny has people looking for him, and so do I. We will find him.

Carly: If she hurts one hair on his head --

Jax: Carly, you need to stop. Okay? You're going to hurt yourself and the baby if you don't calm down.

Carly: I'm scared. I'm scared. Where is he? Where's Michael?

Kristina: Michael has to stay here, and I said he could.

Jason: It's too soon for him to be out of the hospital.

Michael: I feel fine.

Kristina: Good enough for me.

Jason: What if you pass out? What are you going to do, call 911 and hope the ambulance gets here on time?

Michael: If you're trying to scare me, it's not working.

Jason: Okay, I'm going to call your mom and dad and let them know you're okay.

Kristina: You're tattling to his parents? Didn't you just hear Michael? He feels fine. Can you help us out here? Tell Jason he's being totally unfair.

Sam: Wait, I know you think you're helping right now, but you're not.

Michael: I thought you were someone I could trust. But you're just like the rest of them.

Jason: No, I want you to get well. That means doing what the doctors tell you to do.

Michael: Just like you did when you were in the hospital?

Jason: I stuck it out.

Michael: Yeah, but you hated every minute of it, right?

Jason: Yeah, I did. But that's not the point right now.

Michael: Fine. Make all the calls you want. Tell everyone you found me. But I'm not going back to the hospital.

Sam: Wait a minute. I don't get it. What is the big deal with the hospital?

Michael: It feels like prison!

Jason: Prison was being in the coma. You keep this up, and you can end up right back in it.

Alexis: You're in complete denial about this.

Nikolas: Regardless, you have no proof that Rebecca came here with malicious intent.

Alexis: It's a reasonable conclusion.

Nikolas: So -- so, what? You're suggesting that she discovered that she had a twin sister and came here to do what?

Alexis: I have no idea. Ask her.

Nikolas: Yeah. Personally, I think this information would be as big a shock to her as it is to me.

[Alexis sighs]

Alexis: There are a million towns in this country. And she just happens to land in Emily's town working at her place? That's a one-in-a-million shot.

Nikolas: Things like that happen all the time with twins. They have that odd connection with each other. They often marry spouses with the same first name, lead similar lives, etc., etc., Etc.

Alexis: I love you so much. But you just aren't going to get this, are you?

Nikolas: She has no agenda.

Alexis: And what makes you so certain?

Nikolas: Because we're close. In the beginning, I might have thought this was true. But not now. When she's with me, she's honest, she's genuine --

Alexis: All right. For the sake of argument, let's just assume the impossible, that Rebecca has no idea that Emily is her twin. Even still, do you really think it's a good idea to be having an intimate relationship with your dead wife's twin sister?

Rebecca: It's just gotten so complicated. People are getting so suspicious.

Ethan: No worries, love. You're a fantastic liar.

Rebecca: Oh. You know, if I had just admitted that I was Emily's twin from the start, then I'd have nothing to hide right now.

Rebecca: Okay, look. I'm no saint, but the idea of lying through my teeth and pretending that I've never even heard of Emily Quartermaine -- I mean, it just feels wrong.

Ethan: Well, think about it. You can't just drop out of the great big blue, the tortured twin with an empty wallet and start demanding money from the estate of a dead sister you never met. All right? You'll alienate the grieving family, and the fiancé.

Rebecca: Okay, I could admit that I'm Emily's twin sister, right? Play all sweet and innocent, and tell them I've come to Port Charles to meet the family that Emily loved so much.

Ethan: You know, you could. But the wealthiest among us, the Cassadines and the Quartermaines, they are used to people trying to take advantage of them. They're naturally suspicious. So the only way to win them over is to make them come to you.

Rebecca: Okay, how?

Ethan: Well, you simply show up, all right, and wait for them to start noticing you. And then be startled when they peg you as the spitting image of Emily Quartermaine. Be, you know, wary. And then be spooked by all the attention.

[Rebecca laughs]

Rebecca: So play hard to get?

Ethan: Mm-hmm. Yeah. And then, before you know it, they'll be handing over everything they possess.

Rebecca: It's cold. But I think it could work.

Ethan: Only if we're prepared for every angle.

Rebecca: No, no, wait, wait, wait.

Ethan: We have to study up on --

Rebecca: Wait, hold on – “we?”

Ethan: Well, of course. You're far too green to do this on your own. You need my expertise, and I give it to you. And all I need is a little tiny slice of the pie.

Ethan: Don't lose your nerve when we're so close to the payoff, okay?  Just keep doing what you're doing. Nothing's changed.

Rebecca: Then why are you here?

Jason: Hey, hey, I found him. I found Michael at Alexis' house with Kristina. He's safe.

Carly: Michael's okay. Jason found him. Did he say why he left?

Jason: I just think he needed a little break from the hospital, that's all.

Carly: Are you bringing him back here?

Jason: I'm working on it right now.

Carly: I would come get him myself, but I'm kind of stuck here in a bed.

Jason: What happened?

Carly: I fell down the stairs at General Hospital.

Jason: Are you hurt?

Carly: No, I'm fine. I -- I don't know, I just got distracted and fell. Worried about Michael.

Jason: Is the baby okay?

Carly: I'm about to find out. Dr. Lee just came in. I'll talk to you soon, okay?

Michael: Did Mom freak?

Jason: No, she's just glad you're all right.

Michael: And she's going to rush out and drive me back, right?

Jason: No, she's been hospitalized. She had an accident.

Kelly: I have looked over all your test results, and you and the baby are not at risk.

Jax: Oh, that is great news.

Kelly: For now. I'd like to keep you a little longer for observation.

Carly: Okay. Thank you.

Kelly: You want to thank me? Lead a calm and boring life until your due date. All right?

Jax: Oh, that sounds good to me.

Carly: That's a relief, huh?

Jax: Yeah. You've got to stop taking chances like this.

Sonny: Just ran into Kelly in the hall. You okay?

Carly: Yeah, and so is Michael. Jason called, he found him.

Sonny: Where did Jason find him?

Carly: I think he's just going to give us the details when he gets here.

Sonny: Claudia had nothing to do with this, right?

Carly: I don't know.

Sonny: You went off on her for no reason?

Jax: All right, Sonny, you know what, this isn't the time.

Sonny: You could have killed yourself and Claudia. What's going on with you?

Claudia: John, what's going on with you? Would you please call me back? I had a little accident, and I'm okay, but you're making me crazy that I haven't heard from you. Would you please call me and tell me, did you find Michael? Did he say anything about, you know, me saying anything incriminating when he was in a coma? Just call me back, okay? Please?

Ric: What are you doing out of bed?

Claudia: What -- you know what? You're just like pond scum. You keep rising to the surface.

Ric: I was in the hospital. I was interviewing a client, and I heard somebody tell me that you and Carly fell down a flight of stairs.

Claudia: Actually, Carly practically shoved me down the stairs, but whatever.

Ric: Okay, whoa, whoa. Did Dr. Lee sign off on your release?

Claudia: No -- Ric, I feel fine. I have places to go and people to see. Do you mind?

Ric: Yes, actually I do mind. Your health is important to me for obvious reasons.

Claudia: Would you please stop acting like the concerned father, Ric? This is not your baby.

Ric: Well, you don't know that do you, Claudia?

Claudia: Get out. God -- ah!

Ric: What's -- what's wrong?

Claudia: I don't know. I think it's the baby.

Jason: Your mom fell down the stairs at the hospital.

Michael: Mom's just yanking your chain so you'll drag me back.

Kristina: Technically, Jason works for our dad. You don't have to listen to him. You can tell him what to do.

Sam: Hey.

Michael: How about we split the difference? If I start feeling bad, I'll call you and you can come get me.

Jason: No, you're going back to the hospital. And your mom needs to see you.

Michael: Mom's making you feel sorry for her. She totally manipulates you, and you let her.

Jason: The doctors said that you would never wake up, and your mother refused to give up on you. That's the reason you're standing here throwing attitude instead of lying in a coma at that place in Manhattan.

Michael: Even if that's true, doesn't mean I have to go back to that hospital.

Jason: Please don't make me fight you.

Kristina: You're physically threatening him?

Sam: Hey, stay out of it.

Jason: Michael, please.

[Michael sighs]

Michael: Fine. I'll go. Thanks for trying.

Kristina: I hate how Jason acts. Like he's in charge, and nothing the rest of us say matters.

Sam: Jason just did Michael a huge favor.

Kristina: Right, by bullying him, like he tried to do with me?

Sam: No, no, listen, he's not trying to bully you or any other woman, Kristina. Come on, what is really going on with you?

Jax: You've got to stop blaming Carly for your wife's bad behavior, Sonny.

Sonny: Jax, that's not what I was doing.

Jax: It sure sounded like it.

Carly: Can you guys not get into a fight, please?

Sonny: I just need some answers. I'm trying to -- why did you confront Claudia?

Carly: Because I overheard her telling Johnny that she was the reason Michael left the hospital.

Sonny: What?

Carly: Yeah. And when I went to confront her, she tried to walk away, so I grabbed her arm, and the next thing I know, we're tumbling down the stairs. That's what happened.

Sonny: Sometimes you do this, you know. You don't think before you act. Do you really think that Claudia would hurt Michael?

Jax: Stop implying that this was Carly’s fault, okay? This is Claudia's doing.

Elizabeth: Sonny, Claudia collapsed. She could be losing the baby.

Claudia: The cramping hurts so bad.

Kelly: If you can just stay still for just --

Claudia: Oh, just -- could you please tell me if my baby is going to be okay?

Kelly: We're hooking you up to a fetal monitor. The fall may have done more damage than we thought.

Claudia: Could you find my husband, please? I just -- I really -- I want him to be here.

Kelly: Okay, we're looking for him. In the meantime, breathe. The more you relax, the less likely you are to miscarry, okay?

Claudia: Oh, get out. Would you please get out?

Ric: I wish I could read these things.

Claudia: Ric, get out. Please go find Sonny. I need him.

Ric: Yeah, well, you know, Sonny is probably in Carly’s room, checking on the beloved mother of his children, and I realize you're hoping to hold that position one day, but we both realize, Claudia, that this baby is probably mine.

Claudia: Ric, I don't want you here.

Ric: Yeah, I get that. But you do want this baby, right? Why don't you start acting like it?

Ethan: I needed someone to talk to.

Rebecca: Oh, yeah? About what? Another scam?

Ethan: No, worse -- the truth. It's like, you think you have life all figured out, you know, and then suddenly the rug is pulled out from under your feet, and you discover a family you never knew existed, and then you meet them.

Rebecca: Oh, I get it. You think it's different from me because I've met these people now.

Ethan: Is it?

Rebecca: Kind of. I don't know, it just seems weird that a couple of months ago I couldn't even keep them all straight in my head.

Ethan: Well, it probably didn't help that I was distracting you, did it?

[Rebecca chuckles]

Ethan: Oh, well, I think I just earned another -- bigger percentage of the Quartermaine-Cassadine spoils, hmm?

Rebecca: Oh, you egotistical pig.

Ethan: Ow. Hey, well, let's talk about my 20% cut.

Rebecca: 10%. I'm doing all the work.

Ethan: Well, I'm giving you all the angles. Okay, fine, I'll settle for 25%.

[Rebecca laughs]

Rebecca: 10%!

Ethan: God, you drive a hard bargain. Now, let's see if you've done your homework. Emily's brothers.

Rebecca: Okay. A.J.

Ethan: Mm-hmm.

Rebecca: Jason.

Ethan: Mm-hmm.

Rebecca: A.J.'s dead, and Jason lives in Port Charles.

Ethan: Mm-hmm, and the maid?

Rebecca: Um, Alice -- uh, Gun-- Gun-- Gundaker.

Ethan: Gunderson.

Rebecca: Okay, right, yeah. And Nikolas Cassadine has a butler named Alfred.

Ethan: Mm-hmm.

Rebecca: Why do I need to know all this stuff, when the whole idea is to pretend I know nothing?

Ethan: The Boy Scout motto -- be prepared. The more you know about the players, the easier it's going to be to think on your feet. Now, other Quartermaines -- go.

Rebecca: Okay, um, Edward -- Edward, the grandfather who's on the board with Nikolas, and --

[Rebecca laughs]

Ethan: Mm-hmm?

Rebecca: Ugh. Monica.

Ethan: Yes.

Rebecca: Emily's adoptive mother, who is a cardiologist.

Ethan: Mm-hmm, and it's a good thing you're an x-ray tech at the hospital, because that way, they'll be bumping into you from day one.

Rebecca: Ethan, what if I say or do the wrong thing?

Ethan: You won't, because you want this as bad as I do.

Rebecca: True.

Ethan: So you'll be all right. Just play it like I said. Before you know it, they'll be begging you to pick up right where Emily left off.

Rebecca: We should have done more research on Nikolas' family.

Ethan: Do you mean the grandmother and the aunt? Oh, I found them both perversely charming.

Rebecca: What? Are you kidding? The grandmother is psycho, and Nikolas' aunt doesn't know when to leave well enough alone.

Alexis: I'm going to leave these with you. I want you to look them over with your business acumen, and you will see that this is beyond coincidence.

Nikolas: You're so sure about this, aren't you?

Alexis: I believe that I am.

Nikolas: Oh, just like you were so sure that she's involved with some conspiracy with Helena, or that her trip to Greece was really about her getting plastic surgery so she could look like Emily. Please, when is this going to stop? My God.

Alexis: All right, I get it. I was right about the fact that there is more to Rebecca than we know about.

Nikolas: All you proved is that Rebecca and Emily are sisters. That's it. I don't believe it's part of some evil, nefarious plot like you do.

Alexis: Here's the thing. You're trying to replace Emily, and you can't. And by the time you realize the truth, it'll be like losing her all over again.

Kristina: I admit I probably handled things badly tonight, but so did Jason.

Sam: Okay, what did he do?

Kristina: Okay, I have this friend, Chandler Elles -- sweet, but totally messed up. She was at a club, and she called me for help, so I went, and before I could even get to Chandler, Jason appears and drags me away. He didn't even give me a chance to explain.

Sam: Yeah, but you are underage.

Kristina: Should that mean I'm not allowed to help a friend?

[Sam sighs]

Kristina: The point is, Jason didn't even ask why I was there. He threw me in his penthouse like it was a holding cell. I had to beg to come home.

Sam: But you got home.

Kristina: Yeah. I'm in my underwear, about to change into sweats, when Jason barges in looking for Michael.

Sam: Michael was here.

Kristina: Look, I honestly thought I was helping Michael. Maybe I was wrong. The point is, Jason was mean and rude. He also happens to kill people for a living, which is pretty unsettling.

Sam: Really? Have you talked to your father about this?

Kristina: I can't. I never see him. I can't tell Mom -- she'd only freak out. But you believe me, right? I mean, I remember how awful Jason was to you.

Jason: Okay, right here.

Elizabeth: Michael, I'm so glad you're back. Everyone's been really worried about you.

Michael: Yeah, I'm fine.

Epiphany: Dr. Drake will be the judge of that. I'm going to page him so he can look at you.

Jason: Michael's going to see his mother first. How's Carly doing?

Elizabeth: She took a bad fall.

Michael: Are she and the baby okay?

Elizabeth: Yes, but I know she would like to see you.

Michael: You heard Elizabeth. Mom's fine.

Jason: Come on, Michael. She wants to see you.

Michael: It's been this way my whole life. Mom says “jump”; you say, “how high?” I don't get it. Why do you keep putting up with her drama?

Jason: Hey, hey, right now, her pregnancy is high risk. She could have lost that baby.

Michael: She is using the baby to control us. Mom wants us to do whatever she wants, for the sake of the baby.

Jason: Okay, that's out of line.

Michael: Why, for telling the truth?

Jason: I get that you're frustrated. I understand that. I understand that you hate this hospital. You lost a year of your life. You're looking for somebody to blame, but don't take it out on Carly.

Michael: Because she's my mother?

Jason: Because she loves you, unconditionally. It's time for you to show her the love and respect and loyalty she's always shown you.

Jax: Well, your blood pressure is down. How are you feeling?

Carly: I feel better.

Jax: Sorry that I was arguing with Sonny. I just can't stand that he's implying that this was your fault.

Carly: I feel sorry for him. He doesn't love Claudia. He never intended to have another child, and he seems to be invested in the baby. Man, if she suffers a miscarriage, she's going to blame it on me.

Jax: Oh, that's just absurd, I mean, this wasn't your fault.

Carly: Yeah, but that's the twist she's going to put on it.

Jax: You were a mother protecting your child. This was entirely Claudia's fault.

Carly: You really seem to hate Claudia. Why is that?

Sonny: How's the baby?

Claudia: I don't know. Dr. Lee did some tests.

Sonny: How did this happen?

Claudia: I don't know that, either. I was just walking out the door to get the hell out of here.

Sonny: You were leaving?

Claudia: Yeah, I thought I was fine. I wanted to help you find Michael.

Sonny: Jason found Michael. He's bringing him back to the hospital.

Claudia: Is he okay?

Sonny: Yeah.

Claudia: Did he say why he left?

Sonny: He just wanted out. Now, you were talking about the baby. You walked to the door, then what?

Claudia: Cramps -- they just came out of nowhere. I've never felt pain like this in my life. Dr. Lee told me to get back in bed and hooked me up to all this apparatus, and I'm trying to be calm, Sonny, but what if I lose this baby? What are we going to do? How do we stop it?

Sonny: Focus on relaxing. Don't fight the doctors, because they're here to help you through it.

Claudia: Careful, you almost sound like you care.

Rebecca: I like all these people. I mean, they've been genuinely nice to me. It's kind of heartwarming.

Ethan: Don't tell me you're having a crisis of conscience.

Rebecca: I wasn't expecting all of this, Ethan. I had this idea of the Quartermaines as a bunch of stuck-up snobs.

Ethan: That's exactly what they are.

Rebecca: Not really. I mean, yes, you know, Edward is this crotchety old elitist, but he loved Emily so much. I mean, it's right there, every time he looks at me.

Ethan: You have to remember, it's Emily he sees, and not you.

Rebecca: It doesn't matter to him. He is so willing to accept me. And Monica, I mean, she loved my sister like a real daughter. She misses her so much, it's just sad.

[Rebecca sighs]

Ethan: You're breaking the first rule of the con. I warned you about it, but you're going right towards it.

Rebecca: The garbage truck comes today. There'll be nothing left to show we looked into Emily's background.

Ethan: Now, you go your way, I'll go mine. You wait to be discovered at General Hospital, and I'm going to track down this Luke Spencer character.

Rebecca: Okay, and we stick to the rules. Only contact is by cell phone.

Ethan: Yes, and if we accidentally meet --

Rebecca: We pretend we don't know each other.

Ethan: And the most important rule of all -- do not get emotionally invested in these people.

Rebecca: Keep my eye on the prize, and take what's mine.

Ethan: What’s ours. Deal?

Rebecca: Deal.

Rebecca: It would be different if the Quartermaines had been awful to me, but they've been pretty wonderful.

Ethan: And what about Nikolas? How do you feel about him?

Rebecca: Our research said that Nikolas Cassadine was a prince. I mean, I was expecting a pompous jerk.

Ethan: Well, but, he is a bit pompous, isn't he?

Rebecca: He isn't really, you know, he's very gentlemanly. Yeah, he can be formal, and a bit demanding, but underneath, he's, you know, a good man. He's kind, sincere, self-sacrificing, you know, loving.

Ethan: So, are you having second thoughts about conning this paragon? Enough to try and back out of our deal?

[Knock on door]

Nikolas: Rebecca? What's going on?

Michael: I'll take it from here.

Elizabeth: Jason asked me to make sure you went in.

Michael: I'm going. You did what he wanted.

Elizabeth: She's your mother. It should be what you want, too.

[Michael sighs]

Carly: There you are. I was worried about you.

Michael: I'm okay.

Jax: What were you thinking, running off like that? Your mother was frantic.

Carly: It's okay, hey. I'm just glad you're back.

Michael: Jason said you fell. Are you and the baby okay?

Carly: We seem to be fine. Thanks for asking.

Michael: If you're wondering why I took off, it's because this place is claustrophobic.

Carly: I'm not going to give you a lecture about leaving. I'm glad you're safe. You woke up from a coma, and you're healthy, and you're well. And that makes me the happiest mom on earth.

Michael: I'm sorry, Mom.

Sonny: Of course I care about this baby.

[Ric clears throat]

Ric: Kelly is getting the test results on the baby.

Sonny: Ric -- surprise. What are you doing here? And why do you care so much about this baby?
