Tracy: There's my husband, up and out early. You threw Alice into a panic. She thought somebody had kidnapped you.

Luke: No such luck.

Tracy: That was gloomy. What's wrong?

Luke: No Ethan. He didn't show up for his shift.

Tracy: How's the cash box?

Luke: Just as I left it.

Tracy: I don't see a problem.

Luke: Well, then I'm disappointed in you, wife.

Tracy: Okay, Luke, let me guess. You confronted Ethan and did not get the response you expected.

Luke: I looked him dead in the eye. I told him I thought it was possible that I could be his father. He laughed in my face. He refused to take a DNA test. He told me to go to hell, and now he's gone.

Patrick: I dropped Robin off at the facility last night, but with her not being here, I'm a little behind. So I need the morning for Emma. Call Morucci, tell him to take my 11:00 and push everything else back an hour, please.

Epiphany: Do you not have a nanny?

Patrick: Yes, but it's her day off, and Judy Chen won't be here until this afternoon. Is there anything else I need to explain, Nurse Johnson, or will you just do as I asked?

[Knock at door]

Epiphany: I'll take care of it.

Patrick: Thank you. Okay, now, who's this, huh? Let's see who's here. Okay.

Matt: Help has arrived. And just in the nick of time, from the look of things.

Patrick: What are you doing here? Why do you have a suitcase?

Matt: Oh, well, I decided I was going to help out my brother in his time of need. I'll move in. You know, live with you and Emma until Robin gets back. Just the two of us, buddy. That's right, two men and a baby. Hey, baby girl.

Elizabeth: Damn it. I hate this day. Or maybe not. Hi.

Lucky: I come bearing gifts.

Rebecca: That's for me?

Lucky: Yeah, because you said you were hopeless in the morning, so I took the liberty of bringing you a little breakfast.

Nikolas: Something tells me you're hating this as much as I am.

Olivia: Hey.

Jax: Hey.

Olivia: I heard you took Carly to South Carolina. She couldn't get treated here?

Jax: Oh, no, no. The hospital down there specializes in high-risk pregnancies, so I was trying to find ways to minimize the risk, you know? Hopefully, they'll come up with something new, something that we missed.

Sonny: Jax, I tried to get a hold of Carly. She's not returning my phone calls. You know what the hell's going on?

Jax: Well, I didn't think to call you.

Sonny: Of course not, because I know how you operate. This isn't about your petty insecurity. This is about Carly's life and the children that she already has, okay? We're talking a 50% chance of dying. Do you understand what that means? Look, I know it's harsh, but I think you should terminate the pregnancy. And if you cannot be there to support her abortion, I'll do it. Just back off.

Jax: Well, you know what? I got a better idea.

Maxie: Has Clarice called with an E.T.A. on the layout?

Lulu: No.

Maxie: Did it occur to you you should maybe check in with her?

Lulu: I'm busy, if you haven't noticed.

Ethan: Do you have a minute?

Maxie: No, she doesn't. This is a place of business, not a hook-up station.

Ethan: I'll try to make it quick.

Lulu: Wow, okay, what is this?

Ethan: It's the money I borrowed from Crimson's petty cash.

Lulu: That's okay. I used the money I stole from the Haunted Star to restock the cash box.

Ethan: Right. But that's your old man's money. This is mine. I'm not one to take off without squaring my debts.

Lulu: You're leaving?

Ethan: Tonight.

Lulu: Like a vacation or something?

Ethan: Maybe. For now, I'm headed back to Australia.

Lulu: Wow, okay. That's -- I mean, I just thought you were happily placed in the middle of my dad's life, and it didn't seem like you were going to leave that position any time soon. What changed?

Maxie: Kate, Clarice has not checked in yet, but I was just about to call her.

Lulu: The fall test shots are on your desk.

Maxie: The model looks a little dissipated. Maybe too much partying, but I was going to have Gregory talk to her.

Kate: Okay, and did Neela's gowns make it back to Milan? Maxie, did you send the clothes back? If you have been too wrapped up in your personal angst to do your job, I am going to be very disappointed.

Tracy: Have no fear, Luke. The artful dodger will be back before you know it.

Luke: You don't understand the way dodge thinks. The reason that he didn't hit up my cash box on his way out is because that's his way of saying, "game over."

Tracy: How do you figure?

Luke: He left me no reason to chase him down.

Tracy: Okay. My advice? Let it be over.

Luke: I can't. Because it isn't over, Tracy. And it never will be, until I prove that he either is or isn't my son. I know -- you know, I know that the idea of me with Holly really burns you up, and that somehow you'd like to believe I was some kind of a eunuch before we hooked up, but mama --

Tracy: This has nothing to do with me being jealous about Holly. You're scaring me, Luke. You can't tell when you're being scammed.

Luke: And what is it you think I'm missing?

Tracy: This big, dramatic exit of Ethan's was designed to get your attention. Think about it. You're now more motivated to track him down than you were when it was just about money. Ethan planted a seed. It has taken root, and that's exactly what Holly and Ethan are counting on.

Patrick: You know, don't get me wrong. I'm touched by your concern. It's a real indication how far we've come as brothers. But Matt, you moving in? It's just weird. And, you know, besides, I have help.

Matt: Oh, are they hiding?

Patrick: Mercedes is Emma's nanny. She's got the day off. Judy Chen? She's going to be here at, like, 1:00. And you know what? I can hold down the fort. I'm fine.

Matt: Yeah, no, it looks like it. Except for the fact it appears a cyclone passed through here, and the applesauce is going to be very confidence-inspiring when you're diagnosing a brain --

Patrick: You know, that came from her mouth, you know that. Do you have a plan, Matt?

Matt: Do you have a plan?

Patrick: Well, last time we talked about this, you said you had no experience whatsoever with babies.

Matt: And neither did you before Emma.

Patrick: Yeah, see? That's my point. I've had months on you and I'm still flying blind. I didn't realize how badly until I woke up and Robin wasn't here. Point is, Emma doesn't need another amateur stumbling around her.

Matt: Okay, well, by my calculations, two amateurs are equal to one modestly competent person.

[Baby crying]

Patrick: I thought she'd stay down longer than this.

Matt: You said it yourself. Robin being gone throws a very delicate balance out of whack. And, sure, Emma has you. But I can help her, you know, not miss her mom so much.

Patrick: You really want to do this, don't you?

Matt: There are some benefits to having extended family. I'm just saying, partake.

Patrick: Well, personally, I think you're going to regret it. But if you're serious about helping me out, well, it's a very generous offer, and I accept.

Lucky: It's good, actually.

Elizabeth: So, what are you doing here? You have a board meeting?

Nikolas: No. No, I have an appointment with Patrick. He's giving me an assessment on the new neurology facility.

Elizabeth: Well, you're going to have to reschedule, because Patrick cancelled his morning.

Nikolas: Really? Is everything all right?

Elizabeth: Robin went into a treatment center last night.

Nikolas: For what?

Elizabeth: Postpartum depression.

Nikolas: Oh, I didn't know.

Elizabeth: Yeah, it got pretty bad, so Patrick organized an intervention, and they got her to go.

Nikolas: I'm sorry to hear that.

Elizabeth: It's okay. She's going to work her way through it. So you better call Patrick and reschedule that meeting, if there really ever was a meeting.

Rebecca: The band last night was awesome. I love '60s soul.

Lucky: Oh, me, too. A little soul, r&b, the blues -- as far as my dad's concerned, no record made past 1969 was worth the vinyl it took to make it. That's where I learned to play guitar, you know?

Rebecca: I didn't know you played.

Lucky: Past tense. It's been years.

Rebecca: Oh, I'd love to hear you sometime.

Lucky: Nah, these days, I just like to listen. Unless it's with a beautiful woman.

Rebecca: Oh, be careful. I might think you're flirting with me.

Lucky: Yeah? And what if I am?

Rebecca: What if you're not?

Lucky: I'm sorry?

Rebecca: It just occurred to me that all this attention you've been throwing my way might be for someone else's benefit. Like maybe your ex-wife's?

Nikolas: I stopped following Rebecca around a long time ago, and I didn't know Lucky would be here.

Elizabeth: Okay.

Nikolas: Look, I have an appointment with Patrick.

Elizabeth: I said okay.

Nikolas: It's the way that you said it.

Elizabeth: I believe you. But word to the wise -- no matter how it sticks in your throat, if the two of them want to be together, you, nor me, nor anyone else is going to change that.

Sonny: You hit me, Jax.

Jax: That's right.

Sonny: You a tough guy, huh?

Olivia: For God sakes, really?

Jax: You know what? Let me tell you something, you self-centered thug. My world doesn't revolve around yours, so stay the hell out my family business.

Sonny: You calling me self-centered? When you would sacrifice Carly's life? Because you're selfish. Not on my watch.

Olivia: Enough. Enough, already. Why don't you both just dial back the testosterone for two seconds and think about what is best for Carly.

[Baby crying]

Matt: It's about time. Did you get everything I asked for? Is the corn starch in there? And did you get the strained carrots? Because I've tried giving her the peachy stuff, but she doesn't want that. And I remember somebody somewhere telling me that she likes the strained carrots because, apparently, that's what she really wants now because she won't stop crying.

Patrick: Well, Matt, why is there batteries all over the place?

Matt: That's because the singing elephant wouldn't sing, and I was looking for extra batteries in this house, and, of course, you don't have them. So I'm looking through all the stuff, all the electronical things that you have, and they're all AA batteries, and the singing elephant wants AAA batteries.

Patrick: Okay --

Matt: No singing elephant, no peachy stuff, Emma's not happy.

Patrick: Hey, just calm down. Just clean up the batteries, and I'll take care of Emma. Hey. Hi, sweetheart. Come here. Come here, you okay? Huh? Oh, there you go. That's okay, daddy's here. Back in the war zone, huh?

Matt: How did you do that?

Patrick: Magic. Now can you do me a favor and go get me a bottle, please?

Matt: Yeah, I would, only you don't have any formula, which is why I was trying to get her the strained carrots --

[Knock at door]

Matt: That was because she didn't like the peachy stuff.

Patrick: Okay -- okay, who's that?

Matt: Oh, thank God. Heaven sent an angel.

Patrick: Come in, please.

Elizabeth: I'm on break, so I thought I would check in.

Matt: You've got to help Emma, the poor girl. I don't know how she's going to survive until her mother gets back.

Patrick: Total amateur.

Maxie: Kate, I'm really sorry, but you have no idea how much turmoil my life has been in since the feds sent Spinelli to jail --

Kate: It's not really my concern, Maxie. My concern is running a magazine. I have clients to service, and clearly, you have been too distracted to do the simplest task.

Lulu: Wait. This has been a misunderstanding. Yes, Maxie has been very distracted, but after hours, not here, except for one little slip-up. Um, she forgot to email you the confirmation -- the shipping confirmation for Neela's gowns. They were sent to Milan. She just forgot to tell you. So here you go. Sorry. I should have reminded you to send it to Kate.

Kate: I am sensing a level of duplicity, but all that really matters is the gowns made it back in time, and, well, clearly they did. So good teamwork. I'm glad to see you're learning something around here.

Maxie: You just saved my ass.

Lulu: You're welcome.

Maxie: Okay, why, Lulu? Are you trying to lull me into a false sense of security before you chop my head off?

Lulu: Why don't you just accept it as the generous gesture that it is and owe me one.

Maxie: All right. Thanks.

Lulu: I'm sorry, I forgot you were here.

Ethan: Well, that was a fascinating display. You're a lot more clever than people give you credit for.

Lulu: I have no idea what you're talking about.

Ethan: Ah, see, I'm good at reading body language, love. You know, I knew you had an ace up your sleeve from the minute I saw you. I just had a little bet with myself as to when you were going to play it.

Lulu: Really? Who won?

Ethan: Well, I did.

Lulu: Ah.

Ethan: So, I've done what I came here to do. I'll be on my way.

Lulu: Um, I mean, does this have to do with my dad? Like you stole something from him that he can't just laugh off and now you're running for your life?

Ethan: No. Let's just say I'm leaving before I tempt fate. It's been a pleasure to meet you, Lulu Spencer, and I hope our paths cross again.

Johnny: What the hell were you thinking?

Claudia: Uh, do you want to maybe build to a yell? What's the matter?

Johnny: Oh, I don't know, Claudia, you tell me. I just got a phone call from Fredo Genovese whining about deserving a bonus for the job he did for you yesterday.

Claudia: I can explain.

Johnny: Don't bother.  Fredo filled me in. Apparently, you had him strap a bomb to the bottom of Jerry Jacks' car, but it didn't kill Jerry. Whoops. It damn near killed Jason Morgan. Where's your freakin' brain, Claudia? Huh? You think Sonny's not going to follow up and figure out you must want a reason to have Jerry Jacks dead?  Maybe start wondering what it is?

Claudia: Relax, will you, please? What's the big deal, John? We'll give -- we'll give Fredo a little bonus to keep his mouth shut. So what? Look, besides, between Michael's possible recovery and this baby, Sonny is too distracted to worry about what I'm up to.

Johnny: [Laughs] right. The baby. Your reason for everything. Claudia, you of all people should know how unfair it is to use the life of a child who isn't born yet to excuse any outrageous action.

Claudia: That is not what I'm doing.

Johnny: You need to check yourself. You keep crossing lines and not even having Sonny's baby will save your life.

Olivia: You feeling proud of yourselves now? You feeling macho, you couple of jackasses?

Sonny: Yell at him. He's the one who threw the first punch.

Jax: You know what? It's my hotel. And I reserve the right to beat the crap out of you whenever the hell I want.

Sonny: We both know why you're bent out of shape. Because you know that I'm right. No matter how much you want to have this baby, you need to convince Carly not to have it, because she's going to die trying. And I'll be damned if I'm going to let that happen.

Maxie: I need to thank you. I was really upset about Spinelli. I spaced on shipping the dresses back to Milan. And if Kate had found out, I would have been demoted to a cubicle in the ad department. So thank you, and how did you know to do that?

Lulu: Purely selfish. If Kate fires one of us, she fires us both. I know you've been distracted lately, so I have been double-checking your work and following up when necessary.

Maxie: And you didn't even gloat about it.

Lulu: There's no reason to gloat. I shouldn't have blamed you for my breakup with Johnny. The problems that caught up with us were there from the start. We would have broke up eventually, whether you stuck your nose in things or not. And right now, I'd really like to just drop it.

Maxie: That works for me.

Johnny: Hey. I got your message. You desperately needed to see me?

Lucky: Get out of my way.

Ethan: I thought you'd like to know, I'm leaving town. Don't expect to be back.

Lucky: Why? Thing seemed to be going your way.

Ethan: Ah, well, I'm restless by nature, you know? And all those yabbos out there waiting to be fleeced are calling my name. So you get your wish. I'm catching a flight back to Sydney and never be seen or heard from again.

Lucky: What happened to your special bond with my dad? You know, two peas in a pod, right? Con artists united? You two disappoint each other already?

Ethan: Yeah, you're a bit too authoritative and jerky for my taste. But you're Luke's son, and I respect that.

Lucky: Sure you do.

Ethan: Hey, believe it or don't, mate, you know? I don't much care. But I'm going to offer you a piece of unsolicited advice anyway. Stop trying so hard to be better than Luke, and just be glad he's in your life.

Luke: You weren't here when I confronted Ethan. You didn't see his face. For the first time since I met this kid, he totally lost his cool. It's clear that it never occurred to him that I could be his dad.

Tracy: So, let me get this straight. By your interpretation, Ethan shows up in town with his prized possession, a dog-eared photograph of you, because Holly hands them out to every kid she meets on the off chance they're going to end up in Port Charles  someday.

Luke: His story hasn't changed one iota since I met him. He told me about meeting Holly, having a conversation with her where she talked about me. He told me she gave him the photograph. He also told me that she suggested that he find me. The reason being that I could teach him something.

Tracy: And that doesn't sound like a scam to you?

Luke: Of course it's a scam. But don't you get it? It's not a scam on you or me, it's a scam on Ethan. See, she sent him here not to rob you of your money. She sent him here so that he would be on my radar and I would figure it out. That kid is my son. And I am not letting him walk out of my life until I prove it, one way or the other.

Jax: Let me explain something to you, okay? My wife's pregnancy is none of your business. None of your business, okay?

Sonny: [Laughs] Right.

Jax: You don't get a say in how we handle it.

Sonny: Right, right.

Jax: You understand that?

Sonny: Your wife happens to be the mother of my son, so I damn well do get a vote, you get me? What happens to Carly affects Michael, especially Morgan, and he's lost too much already thanks --

Jax: Oh, yeah. Why is that, Sonny? Why is that?

Sonny: I don't care. I'm not going to add his mother to the list. And I don't want Michael waking up to find out that his mother died because you want a child of your own.

Jax: You presumptuous son of a bitch.

Sonny: Well, call it -- am I? Am I?

Olivia: Stop it -- stop it! Sonny, where the hell do you get off sentencing Carly to death, huh? She's got a 50/50 chance of coming out of this thing just fine and having her baby.

Sonny: 50% Chance? Do you hear yourself? Those are terrible odds.

Olivia: It doesn't matter what you think. It's not about you. This isn't about you. It's about Carly making this decision with the input of her husband, not her ex-husband.

Sonny: All right, you know what? Michael's going to have this surgery, he's going to wake up or he's not going to wake up, and there's going to be a lot of pressure on Carly, and you just want to pile it on. You want to make her have this baby while she's fighting this blood disorder. The pressure alone could kill her.

Elizabeth: Okay, you are good to go.

Matt: Yeah, are you sure? Everything I could possibly need is in here. There's blankets and food and extra diapers, emergency contact numbers --

Patrick: Matt, you're walking Emma around the block. You'll be back in 12 minutes.

Matt: Well, a lot can happen 12 minutes. What if I fall and can't get up? I don't know.

Elizabeth: And of you don't come back, we'll send out a search team.

Patrick: Yes, but not too soon, just in case you're delayed for a reason you might like.

Matt: What are you talking about?

Patrick: Well, it's no secret that babies are pretty much chick magnets, much more than a dog. Just make sure they know you're the uncle, not the dad.

Matt: Sure. Okay, babies, chick magnets more than dogs. Let's go, Emma. Let's rock-n-roll.

Elizabeth: Oh, wow, you realize what you just unleashed on the poor, unsuspecting women of Port Charles. Are you okay?

Patrick: Not really.

Elizabeth: Are you missing Robin already?

Patrick: Yeah, and it's only been one night, but already her absence and my guilt fill the house.

Elizabeth: Guilt? Why guilt?

Patrick: Elizabeth, I've always had this idea of myself as this high-octane, multi-tasking -- you know, nothing the great dr. Drake couldn't handle. Right when my wife needs me most, I couldn't help.

Elizabeth: No, no, no, I am not going to let you do this to yourself. I've been here the entire time, remember?

Patrick: Yeah.

Elizabeth: I have seen the effort you have made. I have watched you turn yourself inside out to accommodate all her mood swings, getting her into rehab and on medication. And when the postpartum was too much for you to handle, you organized an intervention because you knew that was your last option. Yes, you have made some mistakes along the way, but ultimately, you did the right thing. And in the end, that's what matters. Now, Robin may not be able to articulate all this right now, but I know that's what she's thinking.

Tracy: Luke, I have much too much respect for you to dismiss your theory out of hand. But if you're right, and Ethan doesn't want to know if you're his father, then you have to respect him and let him go. If, on the other hand, I'm right, and he's part of the big scam, then you really have to let him go. Luke, either way, it's the same solution. I'm going to leave you to work it out. Hello, Lucky.

Lucky: Hello, Tracy.

Luke: Hey, cowboy.

Lucky: Dulling the pain of your big loss.

Luke: What are you talking about?

Lucky: Instead of drowning yourself with booze, you should be celebrating. Whatever Ethan took you for was a small price to pay to get rid of him.

Luke: What do you mean "get rid of him"?

Lucky: I just saw him on the pier, and he said he was going back to Australia.

Johnny: Sorry, I didn't know you were here.

Lulu: Obviously.

Maxie: Don't go reading into things. I called Johnny here on Kate's instructions. She's sending us to Mimi Baye's annual fashion event, and she wants to fit Johnny for his tux.

Lulu: That's why you so desperately needed to see him?

Maxie: I over-dramatize everything to get what I need done, done.

Lulu: Wow, how self-aware of you. You'd think you'd be able to stop.

Maxie: I've tried so many times. It just doesn't really work. Anyway, in the interest of full disclosure so you don't freak out, Johnny and I might need to stay overnight in Soho, so I booked two separate rooms. Here, see.

Kate: Maxie, I thought I told you to get -- oh, good, you're here. They're expecting us in the sample room. I want to see how you two will look on the red carpet.

Johnny and Maxie: Why?

Kate: Why? Because this is an extremely important event. Mimi Baye's collection will get international coverage, and you know what? If you two handle this right, I may send you to Paris or Milan next season. So, come on, let's go. Is there a problem?

Lulu: No, there's no problem. I'm going to call Federico while you're gone and make sure that he signed off on the suit, and I'll check in with Mimi’s publicity people to make sure that they get prime coverage on the red carpet.

Kate: Excellent, Lulu. So just call me if Feddy has any changes. Come.

Kate: Maxie.

Nikolas: Hi.

Rebecca: Wow, this probably looks really weird, laying out while fully dressed in scrubs.

Nikolas: Yeah, I hope you're wearing your sunscreen.

Rebecca: I'm very conscientious about my sun worshipping. How have you been?

Nikolas: I'm good. And you?

Rebecca: Great.

Nikolas: Great.

Rebecca: I love working at GH.

Nikolas: Yeah, I saw you there earlier. You do look happy.

Rebecca: Oh, you mean with Lucky.

Nikolas: It's just, the two of you seem to be getting along pretty well.

Rebecca: Yeah, he's such a sweet guy. He brought me breakfast, figured I didn't bother with it much.

Nikolas: Wow, a concert last night, breakfast this morning. Are the two of you an item now?

Rebecca: I don't know. I probably wouldn't go that far, but we have a lot of fun together. He's taking me to the lake after my shift.

Nikolas: Oh, the lake. Wow. There's something that you may or may not be aware of, but this attention that Lucky is giving you is probably less about you and more about getting a reaction out of Elizabeth.

Rebecca: Is that right?

Nikolas: I just wanted to tip you off, as a friend.

Rebecca: Oh, Nikolas, you know, I really appreciate it, but is it possible that maybe you're over-thinking this? Maybe it's as simple as Lucky and I really enjoy each other's company. And maybe this? The tension that you seem to bring into every encounter that we have is proof that you and I shouldn't have anything to do with each other.

Jax: You see, here's the problem -- even though you and Carly have been divorced for years and she's married to me, you still think that she's your property, ready to reclaim her whenever you feel like it. That is a fantasy that you've conjured up in your head. You may share the bond of two sons, but that's it. That's it. The reality of it is that her life is with me. Her future is with me. Now, whether or not we decide to have kids or when we have kids is something that we decide. That's not your decision.

Sonny: Jax, you're happy with Carly. You love Carly. You claim you love her. I'm happy for you. But you have no qualms risking her life?

Jax: How the hell do you know what I feel?

Sonny: No, I'm just --

Olivia: Guys, you obviously can't, or you won't hear each other, so why don't we just call a flag on this play? We all go home, then we have a talk when we've got the information --

Jax: No, no, no. Sonny needs to understand this. You don't get to question anything that goes on with my wife. Okay? And when Carly gets back, we will evaluate her medical condition and how it relates to the pregnancy, and that's it. It's a decision between us, okay? Now get out of my hotel, and don't come back. First, I'll kick your ass, and then I'll have you arrested. Is that clear enough?

Matt: Oh, man, were you right. Seriously, we didn't make it two blocks before the hotties came a-flocking. And Emma here, I don't know how she knows, but she knows exactly when to giggle on cue. It was amazing. So can I walk her tomorrow?

Patrick: Knock yourself out. It's one of the many benefits of Emma. Hey, sweetheart.

Matt: See, I'm pulling my weight already, but duty calls.

Patrick: Okay, let me grab her.

Matt: I've got to run.

Patrick: Hey, babe.

Matt: All right, there is my lucky charm. The little baby is jumpstarting my social life. All right, I'll see you tomorrow.

Patrick: Look at that. Nice work, kiddo. It looked like you helped Uncle Matt out, didn't you? Not that you really care much, do you? You just want your mommy back. Yeah, well, so do I.

Maxie: Kate is in her layout meeting.

Lulu: Her evening schedule is confirmed, and I've emailed it to her PDA.

Maxie: Great. What is this book?

Lulu: Oh, the latest copy of “Magenta Man." They sent us an advance copy and "Trends" was going to send it back, and I know Spinelli loves that stuff, so I thought you could give it to him.

Maxie: Was that the sound of hell freezing over? Why are you being nice to me?

Lulu: I'm having a weak moment. Don't get used to it.

[Phone rings]

Lulu: Kate Howard’s office.

[Second phone rings]

Maxie: This is Maxie Jones. How can I help you?

Lulu: Yeah, I can do that.

Maxie: One second.

Rebecca: I've got Mr. Stillwell's scans.

Epiphany: Those scans should have been here an hour ago.

Rebecca: Radiology was backed up.

Elizabeth: I don't know how it worked wherever you came from, but here at General Hospital, we don't take a cavalier attitude towards our critical patients.

Rebecca: Excuse me, cavalier?

Elizabeth: And we don't shrug our shoulders and go "oh, well" when MRI’s are late and still take our break.

Rebecca: Did you just say that to me? My break had nothing to do with those scans taking longer than five minutes, and if you don't believe me, then check with the supervisor.

Elizabeth: Oh, I don't need your permission to do that.

Epiphany: Okay, that's enough. Somewhere in here, this veered from professional to personal. I'm not having it. So you guys work it out on your own time.

Rebecca: Listen, you little snip. I don't have a problem with you, but I can get one real quick. So let's avoid that and get something straight. If you don't like me dating your ex, too bad. Get over it.

Jax: Put a memo out to the entire staff. Sonny's not allowed in the hotel under any circumstances. I don't care if it's a charity event.

Olivia: Okay, that's not going to help. Jax, Sonny's not going to back down. He's going to keep barging in here. He's going to make a scene, and that's not going to do anything to help Carly's stress.

Jax: Okay.

Olivia: Okay, look, you're letting your hatred for Sonny screw up your priorities, and that's not good. This has got to be about keeping Carly stress-free so she can deliver her baby. Believe me. Believe me. Engaging with Sonny is not going to accomplish that.

Jax: I know, I know, I know. Okay, you're absolutely right. Part of the reason I'm so angry is because Sonny's not all that wrong, okay?  It may come down to terminating the pregnancy. I hate the fact that he thinks he can walk in here and tell us what to do.

Olivia: At least Carly wasn't here to see what happened today.

Jax: There's a lot worse waiting when she gets home. Michael's surgery is in a month. And if it doesn't go well, I'm afraid Carly is going to have a complete emotional breakdown.

Claudia: What in the world makes you think you deserve a bonus? I hired you to blow up Jerry Jacks. Not only did you not do that, you nearly killed Jason Morgan. Why would I care? For one thing, he happens to be my husband's best friend and business partner. You know another thing, Fredo? Why would I reward you for flapping your yap to John? If I wanted him to know about it, clearly, I would have told him myself, right? You want another dime out of me, keep your mouth shut and lay low. I have to go.

[Door slams]

Claudia: What the heck happened to you?

Sonny: Jax and I got into a fight.

Claudia: Why?

Sonny: Because he's a selfish piece of garbage. He sent Carly out of town. He says to deal with the blood disorder, but I know why he did it. He doesn't want me around. Do you want to know why? Because I will not let him risk Carly's life.

Claudia: Okay, you know what? Don't bite my head off.

Sonny: I need a drink badly.

Claudia: I'm just curious here. Are you worried that your sons are going to lose their mother, or are you worried that you are going to lose Carly?

Sonny: No, no, don't do that. No, no.

Claudia: Look, I get your concern. I totally do. But even if the very worst thing happened -- God forbid, something happened to Carly, right, your kids would still have you. And they would have a stepmother if they chose to accept her. And I think it wouldn't be bad for our baby to have brothers and stuff.

Sonny: Never talk to me about Carly dying. Understand me? Never.

Olivia: Jax, maybe I could help.

Jax: How?

Olivia: Well, I could talk to Sonny. I mean, believe it or not, sometimes he really does listen to me. I could try to make him understand how important it is that Carly stay stress-free through this --

Jax: No, really, don't waste your time. Believe me, I've tried. Sonny's all about himself. It's pretty low, even for Sonny, to try to force Carly to abort my child in Michael's name.

Olivia: I'm not sure I would put it precisely that way.

Jax: It's true. No matter how much we pray for Michael's surgery to be a success, chances are slim to none, and Sonny knows this. Instead of gearing up to support Carly, he's using the situation to manipulate her, and that's what he always does. But you know what? It doesn't matter, because Carly and I have survived Sonny before, and we'll survive him again.

Luke: Look, I was trying to figure out why you would fly 9,000 miles rather than take a DNA test, and then I got it. How stupid can I be? Of course, you don't want DNA around for a record in case the police get hold of it, or the FBI, or maybe even Interpol. I won't let that happen, dodge. You should have just told me.

Ethan: Although that is a concern, some things are just better left alone, okay? Although, now that you're here, I can thank you for teaching me. It was a blast. Nice knowing you, mate.

Luke: Ethan. I need to know if you're my son.

Ethan: I won't take the test.

Luke: What are you afraid of?

Ethan: Nothing, all right. I just -- you have enough kids with issues, okay? I don't want to join the club.

Lucky: You look great.

Rebecca: Oh, thanks. So do you.

Lucky: So, are you ready to hear a little 70's music?

Rebecca: Yeah, I am. I can't wait for 70's night.

Lucky: Well, good. It's going to be a lot of fun. Look, it fits perfect.

Rebecca: I can't wait. It's going to be so much fun.

Lucky: I think you'll like it. It's a good place.

Rebecca: I don't think it can top the other night, though.

Nikolas: Hey.

Elizabeth: Hey.

Nikolas: Smile.

Elizabeth: What?

Nikolas: Smile. Are they watching?

Elizabeth: Yeah.

Nikolas: Good. Come here.
