Lulu: She said that you and Johnny weren't there.
Maxie: Yes, we were. It was extremely packed. We looked for Clarice, but we couldn't find her.
Lulu: You said Time's Echo was great. They were not at the club. They didn't even play. Where were you?
Maxie: Lulu, will you just cut out the jealousy, okay? It's making you extremely paranoid.
Spinelli: Maximista, are you merely spinning this, or can you prove your innocence?
[Knock at door]
Sam: Well, it was good to hear from you. What's up?
Jason: Well, I never really got the chance to thank you for helping clear Spinelli.
Sam: Oh, well, you know, I really didn't do much.
Jason: Uh, yeah, you did. You got the flash drive. Without that, he'd be in prison right now.
Sam: Well, this is the thing. When I heard they were going over to the FBI headquarters to break into the hard drive, I kind of went because I was afraid they were going to get caught.
Jason: Yeah, they would have. And you know Spinelli has no idea how to bluff anybody.
Sam: Yeah, I suppose his people skills might be lacking --
Jason: Exactly. Exactly. And that's why he should partner with you in a detective agency.
Sam: He told you about that?
Jason: Yeah, this kid is so excited about it. But I know it takes, you know, money to start a new business, so --
Sam: So it's a good thing I saved enough.
Jason: No, this is just for Spinelli's share of the start-up costs and anything else you guys need to get this business going.
Carly: Michael. Michael, it's me. I'm right here, baby. I'm right here.
Jax: What happened?
Carly: Michael just moved his hand. Get a doctor. Michael? Michael, sweetie, I'm right here.
Rebecca: Thank you, Nikolas.
Nikolas: You're welcome.
Rebecca: You've been wonderful. You know, bringing me back to the house and calling ahead to have brandy and hot tea waiting.
Nikolas: I didn't want you to go home by yourself.
Rebecca: I think this is the first time I've stopped shaking since I heard about the biopsy.
Nikolas: You're going to be all right.
Rebecca: When you tell me that, I can almost believe it.
Rebecca: Wait, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that.
Nikolas: Did you see me resisting?
Rebecca: Look, you nursed your wife through cancer. I look just like her. And now I've had a cancer scare of my own. It's really unfair of me to take advantage of your kindness.
Nikolas: No, it's fine I want -- I want to help you.
Rebecca: Even though it's got to be bringing up all kinds of memories for you.
Nikolas: I'm fine. It's you I'm worried about. Don't you remember? From the first time I saw you at General Hospital, I took every opportunity to accidentally run into you and strike up a conversation, ask about your past. I drove you crazy, remember that?
Rebecca: Yeah, it was a little off-putting.
Nikolas: Off-putting? You accused me of being a stalker, which actually isn't far from the truth, now that I come to think of it.
Rebecca: Yeah, but then you backed off. You gave me some room, so all is forgiven.
Nikolas: Thank you.
Rebecca: Look, it's just that if your hospitality is because of my resemblance to Emily, then I really don't want to be here, and --
Nikolas: It's part of it. I'll admit that. But I genuinely like you. You. And if there's any way I can help you, I want to do it.
Ethan: Welcome to the Haunted Star. Can I get you a drink? You look like a woman who would enjoy a slouching satyr.
Alexis: Who are you and what have you done with Luke?
Ethan: Luke's on an errand right now. He'll be back momentarily. In the meantime, Ethan Lovett, at your service.
Alexis: Hi, Ethan. Since when did Luke hire a new bartender?
Ethan: It was a few weeks ago. You should come around here more often, a lovely lady like yourself.
Alexis: Ethan, you're very charming.
Ethan: Ah, well, it's part of the job description. You know, you chat up the customers in the hopes they'll stick around long enough to drop a few bucks on the gaming tables.
Alexis: I assume that Luke is happy with your services?
Ethan: I haven't been fired yet. So how abut that satyr?
Alexis: If you make a martini, the answer is yes.
Ethan: All right, coming right up. You seem like a woman of class with a razor-sharp wit.
Alexis: You're very perceptive, Ethan.
Ethan: I'm honest, too. You have many attractive qualities, Miss, um --
Alexis: Davis. But you can call me Alexis.
Ethan: Alexis. Martini.
Alexis: Thank you.
Ethan: I hope you like it dirty.
Alexis: Oh, uh -- I'm not sure what to say to that. Thank you.
Luke: You might want to reconsider whatever devious plot you've devised, dodge. This esteemed woman is Port Charles' district attorney.
Maxie: The club was swarming with paparazzi. We couldn't all get in, so security took some of us to the back room, which was really kind of annoying since getting photographed was the main reason for going anyway.
Lulu: You are such a bad liar.
Johnny: She's telling the truth, Lulu. The evening was a complete waste of time.
Lulu: Okay, so you guys were at the club, but you somehow didn't notice that the band was a no-show?
Maxie: We were trapped in the back room, Lulu. We didn't even make it to the main floor.
Lulu: I asked Johnny.
Johnny: The place was a zoo and we bailed the first chance we got.
Maxie: Look, I understand why you don't like this, okay? Who would want their boyfriend hanging out with another girl? But this thing was about as romantic as a frat party, okay? We were all sweaty and squished together --
Lulu: Stop while you're ahead.
Maxie: Nothing happened, okay? We just went and came back. End of story.
Spinelli: Well, there you have it. The Jackal is relived that he and fair Lulu's dark fears were unfounded.
Sam: Uh-uh. I don't feel right taking your money.
Jason: No, no, it's only to cover Spinelli's half. You guys have to rent offices, get new computers, all the latest equipment.
Sam: Yeah, you seem really eager to get us started.
Jason: Well, I just think you guys would make a great team.
Sam: Okay, that's fine. I mean, Spinelli said the same thing. He thinks our skills compliment each other. I don't know, I was kind of hesitant at first, but I really do want my P.I. license, and -- gosh, I haven't really thought about taking on a partner.
Jason: Well, you couldn't do better than Spinelli.
Sam: He is a computer genius.
Jason: Yeah, and he's honest, he's loyal, he works hard. You guys get along, right? And trust me; he is highly motivated to make this work.
Sam: Yeah, he is. Now that you put it that way, I don't know, I think he would make a perfect partner.
Jason: Good, good, good. Whoa, whoa, no --
Jason: There's just a few things that you need to, you know, be aware of, okay? Um, Spinelli is going to want to use a gun. No. You keep your guns out of his sight.
Jason: Okay, don't let him drive your car, either. He is absolutely the worst driver on planet earth.
Sam: Got it.
Jason: Okay, stakeout. If you're going on one, you might want to think twice because he has the patience of a gnat and he likes to talk and move and chew chips in your ears, and he just doesn't sit still.
Sam: Okay, it's fine. I was planning on doing all the field work myself anyway, so that's fine.
Jason: Perfect. Good idea. He gets seasick, too. And he thinks he knows martial arts, but he doesn't really know martial arts.
Sam: Oh -- I mean, fine. That could get a little dicey.
Jason: Yeah, it could. But you know what? The best way to distract him is just get him on the computer, because you said he's a genius. He will find anybody. But I just don't want him to get in any more trouble with the FBI.
Sam: I agree. I mean, I couldn't agree with you more, actually. I mean, if you want to offer anything else -- I don't know, maybe stock up the place with chips and orange soda because it is brain food. He can't function without it.
Jason: Yeah, he can't, really. I'll take care of whatever you guys need.
Sam: Thank you. It's actually really very sweet, the way you care about him.
Jason: Yeah, well, he's not too good at taking care of himself.
Sam: You don't have to worry because I promise I'll do my best.
Carly: Thank God. Michael moved his hand.
Patrick: Okay, when did this happen?
Carly: Just a few minutes ago.
Jax: We just turned off the lights. We were preparing to leave.
Patrick: The light was off? Jax, did you see it?
Jax: No, I wasn't in the room.
Carly: I didn't imagine it. Michael's hand definitely moved. This is it. This is what we've been praying for. Michael is fighting to come back to us.
Sam: So maybe you would like to supervise the opening of the detective agency?
Jason: No, no, that's all yours. I don't want any input.
Sam: Well, sure, Spinelli or myself might ask for it.
Jason: Well, I do appreciate you keeping an eye on Spinelli.
[Cell phone rings]
Jason: Yeah, Carly, what's up?
Carly: Jason, I'm with Michael and I just saw his hand move.
Jason: Are you sure?
Carly: Yes, I'm sure. I tried to call Sonny, but he's in some kind of a meeting and I didn't want to leave a message.
Jason: What did the doctor say?
Carly: Patrick's checking on him now. It was as clear as day. A couple of his fingers twitched. He was trying to move his hand.
Jason: He's been in a coma for a while. Let's just not jump to any conclusions right now.
Carly: Jason, he's been completely immobile and now he's moving. He's trying to reach out to us. I know it. I can feel it. Here comes Patrick. I'll call you back as soon as I know anything.
Jason: Okay, just keep me posted.
Sam: Good news about Michael?
Jason: I don't know.
Carly: Did Michael move again?
Patrick: No, he didn't.
Carly: Well, I'm sure it's going to take a little bit of time.
Jax: What's your opinion? Do you think Michael is starting to wake up?
Patrick: I did an exam, I went over his monitors, and there's no change in Michael's condition. Carly, what you saw was an involuntary reflex or a muscle spasm.
Carly: Michael hasn't moved for months and now he does. That's more than just a reflex.
Spinelli: The Jackal is most apologetic for his unflattering suspicions.
Maxie: It's okay, Spinelli. You weren't there. You don't know what a mob scene it was.
Lulu: All because Christian showed up?
Maxie: With his entourage.
Johnny: The club date was like any other P.R. event, loud and pointless. Maxie and I, we didn't even get out pictures taken, so Kate may decide not to pay me.
Lulu: Well, at least you tried.
Maxie: We could always talk to Kate and see what she could do.
Johnny: You know if it wasn't for the money, there's no way I'd be going on these stupid, phony P.R. dates in the first place.
Maxie: Hey, they're not that bad.
Johnny: You like the glamour. I'd rather be at my garage. Speaking of which, I've got to go check a few things out. Are we cool?
Lulu: Yeah, okay.
Spinelli: Actually, the mob prince's errand has reminded me that I meant to pick up some breakfast items for casa de Stone Cold. So if I may take my leave?
Maxie: Spinelli, I really wish that you were there with me tonight. I know I would have had a lot more fun.
Spinelli: I appreciate the sentiment. Bye.
Lulu: If you lied and you're moving in on Johnny, have the guts to say it to my face.
Luke: Natasha, lovely to see you.
Alexis: Hey, Luke.
Luke: Do me a favor. Check your wallet.
Alexis: Why? What for?
Luke: Just -- just humor me.
Alexis: It's in there, Luke.
Alexis: My purse has been sitting here the whole time. It's right here.
Luke: All right.
Alexis: What have you done? What have you done?
Ethan: Your wallet's gone walkabout? Well, I'll be stuffed. That's -- where could it -- where could it be? I don't know. Uh, let's see. Oh, there it is. You must have dropped it.
Alexis: Maybe it just hopped out of my purse and just decided to walk on the ground for a while.
Ethan: That's definitely possible.
Luke: So, dodger, make yourself useful now and go bring up that new box of bourbon from the back.
Ethan: I did it.
Luke: Oh, you did? Good man. How about the whiskey? If you've already done that, I suggest you make some kind of excuse to get your larcenous butt out of here before the D.A. decides to take a set of your fingerprints over to her friends at the PCPD.
Ethan: You know, now that you mention it, there is something I need to take care of.
Alexis: So you've hired yourself a nice-looking con man in the making, eh?
Luke: I have finally found a pupil who wants to learn what I have to teach.
Alexis: He's shameless. Which is why you like him.
Luke: You know me too well. So what brings you here, besides the martinis?
Alexis: Just procrastinating.
Luke: Really? Office politics or is upholding the law becoming a yoke around your neck that is too burdensome to bear?
Alexis: It's never a yoke around my neck. It's a tight choker of diamonds. And I'm just avoiding having to deal with my nephew Nikolas.
Rebecca: I should be leaving.
Nikolas: No, you sure you don't want to stay? I could have Alfred set up one of the guest rooms --
Rebecca: No, thanks. I don't want to impose. Don't tell me I'm not.
Nikolas: Okay, on one condition.
Rebecca: Oh, yeah? What's that?
Nikolas: You allow me to escort you home.
Rebecca: You have such perfect, old-fashioned manners. It's like out of a movie from the 1940's.
Nikolas: Are you making fun of me?
Rebecca: No, no, not at all. It's charming and, um -- yeah, I'd love the company.
Nikolas: Okay. I'm just going to go grab our coats, and then we'll head down to the lodge.
Patrick: I'm simply giving you medical facts, Carly. Michael's condition has not changed.
Carly: Sometimes the facts are wrong.
Patrick: Yes, sometimes facts can be wrong, but Michael is still in a permanent coma.
Carly: Okay, don't take this wrong, but you have a lot on your plate with Robin and having to take care of Emma.
Jax: Okay, could there be something that you've overlooked? Perhaps a neurological indicator or something?
Patrick: No, I don't believe there is.
Carly: I'd like to have a specialist come in. I'd like to get a second opinion.
Patrick: That's fine. I'll have Michael's chart ready when you need it.
Carly: Thank you.
Carly: Tell me the truth. You think I'm grasping at straws.
Jax: No. Michael's hand moved. You have every reason to believe that his condition is changing. And we're going to pursue this, Carly. Perhaps we can reverse the terrible wrong that's been done.
Sam: Do you think Carly was just imagining Michael's hand moved?
Jason: She just wants Michael to wake up so badly. So do I. You know I would do anything, I would give anything to see Michael come out of this.
Sam: All right, well, that's why she called you. She needs your support.
Jason: Yeah, I know.
Sam: Do you know that it used to drive me crazy when we were together and every time Carly had a crisis, she would come barging through that door, demanding your full attention, wanting you to drop everything to make her your top priority.
Jason: She counts on me, you know?
Sam: Yes, she does, Jason. It's just that now that there's been a little -- a lot of distance between us, I actually think it's really great to be able to have somebody who always has your back. And given Michael's situation, I think what Carly needs to hear right now is that you believe her and you feel hopeful, too. That's it.
Jason: Okay, I want to help --
Sam: But what?
Jason: But what -- the doctor said that Michael's not -- he's not going to recover. You know, doctors can be wrong. I mean, look at me, my accident. They said that I was a hopeless case, so why should I believe them about Michael?
Sam: All right, this is -- you are saying that you want to hope. That's not the same as having hope.
Ethan: Are you ready for round two?
Alexis: It appears that I'm getting it anyway.
Ethan: Well, this one's on the house. A little incentive for you to grace the Haunted Star with your presence again. I'm sure the proprietor will agree.
Luke: Absolutely. Um, Ethan, see that black scarf there? Lulu left it here. Would you return it to her? Clover Avenue, 114, apartment 68.
Luke: Mm-hmm, now. I'll cover for you.
Ethan: Okay. I'm here to serve.
Alexis: Thank God. He's cute, but I can't afford to lose anything else. I'm worried enough already.
Luke: So tell me, what has your nephew done that's got you so angst-ridden?
Alexis: He's completely obsessed with that woman that looks alarmingly like Emily.
Luke: Looks like her? She's a dead ringer, pardon the pun.
Alexis: Rebecca -- you've met her, yes?
Luke: Yeah, I met her at the Quartermaine’s. You should have seen Edward and Monica when she walked in. They were ready to adopt her right on the spot.
Alexis: Do you trust her?
Luke: Hell no. But then of course, I see the swindler in everybody. What's your take on this doppelganger?
Alexis: Well, it's odd, don't you think? We know she's not Emily, right?
Alexis: Nikolas assures me that he knows how to discern between the two of them.
Luke: Well, Nikolas wants Emily back so badly, he would take Rebecca as second best.
Alexis: You should have seen him at Kelly’s. I mean, he was so mesmerized by her that he couldn't even carry on a conversation. He wouldn't let anyone wait on him unless it was this Rebecca. And then as soon as Lucky started chatting with Rebecca, Nikolas got so jealous he was going to explode.
Luke: Wow. He's that far gone?
Alexis: Nikolas is the normal Cassadine. He's the reasonable, thoughtful, kind member among a highly dysfunctional family, and now he's turning into a nutcase like Stefan and Stavros. And I feel like I need to save him from what is clearly a genetic predisposition.
Nikolas: So the launch pilot says he's just come from a 4th of July barbeque, right?
Nikolas: And after a while, I notice this guy is so drunk, and I can't --
Rebecca: And he's driving your boat.
Nikolas: Exactly. So we're maneuvering through the harbor and I realize that we're headed right towards a warehouse -- that's owned by the mob, no less. So I finally turn to this guy and I ask him, "Do you not know where you're going?"
Rebecca: And he says?
Nikolas: He says, "Not a clue, but thank you for asking, sir." It's like that. So I literally had to wrestle the wheel away from him so we could get back to the dock safely.
Rebecca: Well, I'm glad you have a more reliable pilot now.
Nikolas: I'm sorry. That was a really stupid story. I won't ever do that again.
Rebecca: Oh, thank you, Nikolas.
Nikolas: For what?
Rebecca: For keeping me distracted. I didn't think about the biopsy for at least five minutes.
Nikolas: That was the plan.
Rebecca: You should pass on those tips to the doctors.
Nikolas: No, I'd rather just share them with you.
Rebecca: Um, it's getting late and I probably should go to bed.
Nikolas: Yeah, okay. Anything else I can do for you?
Rebecca: No, thank you. You know, now I just have to wait and hope for the best. Not every area of concern turns out to be malignant.
Nikolas: Well, whatever happens, you're not alone. I'll help you get through this.
Rebecca: You don't have to take care of me.
Nikolas: Look, I forced my way into your life. I'm not going to desert you just because you're going through a tough time right now.
Rebecca: You're a really busy man, and I don't want to take up any of your time.
Nikolas: That's okay. I can multitask.
Rebecca: Nikolas, if it wasn't for you, my imagination would be going off into worst case scenarios. Of course, it probably will anyway. I don't know how I'm going to get any sleep tonight.
Nikolas: Oh, you know what? You're in luck because I have in my possession "The Aeneid of Virgil." Yes, this is a classic piece of roman literature I have right here. When I was 16, my tutor made my read the entire thing in Latin.
Rebecca: Wow. What's it about?
Nikolas: Well, it's about a Trojan named Aeneas who went to Italy and became the ancestor to the Romans.
Rebecca: Real page-turner.
Nikolas: Oh, yeah, classic, classic work right here. Guaranteed to put you right to sleep.
Rebecca: Okay, all right.
Nikolas: Here you go.
Rebecca: Perfect. I will get started on this right away.
Nikolas: Okay, well, good night I guess.
Rebecca: Good night. Thank you again for everything.
Nikolas: You're welcome.
Johnny: Hey, Claudia, call me as soon as you get this message.
Spinelli: The mob prince's lustful lies do not fool the Jackal.
Johnny: What are you talking about?
Spinelli: I just want you to know, I'm prepared to fight for my true love.
Johnny: There's nothing to fight about, Spinelli.
Spinelli: Fair Maximista was lying and so were you. You did not attend the club opening.
Johnny: Spinelli, look, if you don't believe us --
Spinelli: Dude, it is far worse than lack of belief. It is the sure knowledge that numerous hours of your evening with Maximista are unaccounted for.
Johnny: You are way off base.
Spinelli: It is clear to me that you are trysting with Maximista, but just know that I will not give up my beloved without a fight.
Maxie: I'm so glad you came back --
Ethan: Well, if I'd have known I'd be greeted like this, I would have come sooner.
Maxie: Who are you and what are you doing here?
Ethan: I've come to return Lulu's scarf.
Maxie: You're friends with Lulu?
Ethan: "Friend" might be a bit premature. Let's just say we're acquaintances.
Maxie: Did I invite you inside?
Ethan: No, you left the door open. It was a safe assumption.
Maxie: I don't know if I was would associate you with the word "safe." See anything you like?
Ethan: Quite a bit, actually.
Lulu: Oh, no, you can't be serious.
Ethan: I came by to return your scarf and was greeted at the door by your charming flatmate.
Lulu: Thank you. You can go now.
Maxie: Oh, no. How do you two know each other?
Ethan: I'm employed by her father, bartending at the Haunted Star.
Maxie: Oh, you're the deadbeat thief Lulu was talking about.
Ethan: You're talking about me now, are you?
Lulu: Trust me; deadbeat was the nicest adjective that I used.
Ethan: All the same, glad to know I'm on your mind.
Lulu: You're not.
Maxie: I'm sorry, what's your name again?
Ethan: How rude. Ethan Lovett.
Maxie: Maxie Jones. Pleased to meet you.
Ethan: The pleasure is all mine.
Lulu: Just be glad that you don't have any pockets for him to pick.
Maxie: Oh, my God. You know how to pick pockets? I've always wanted to learn how to do that.
Ethan: Really? Well, I'd love to teach you. Perhaps we can practice on each other.
Lulu: Oh, my God, that's it. Okay, good-bye. You're done.
Ethan: That's not very hospitable, love.
Lulu: Well, you're getting the point, aren't you?
Ethan: Well, I feel a bit insulted. I mean, you know, after our long chat at the Haunted Star, I mixed you some spectacular drinks. We talked about life, love, and pursuit of happiness.
Lulu: Okay, out now.
Ethan: All right, well, don't be a stranger. Come by sometime --
Maxie: Wow, no wonder you're so suspicious of Johnny. You're hot for your little deadbeat thief.
Spinelli: The mob prince is tortured, brooding, coupled with his perfect 41-regular may be catnip to Maximista, but I'm not going to let her just slip away from me.
Johnny: Spinelli, I'm not dating Maxie.
Spinelli: Do you deny your amorous lip locking?
Johnny: Yeah, we kissed in the garage, but it was a mistake, nothing else --
Spinelli: You and Maximista were formally at odds. Now you, what, greatly enjoy her company? Isn't it so?
Johnny: Yes, I like Maxie.
Spinelli: You're spending greater and greater amounts of time with her -- a heroic rescue here, a club opening there. You're like a shark closing in on his prey.
Johnny: Maxie is not my prey.
Spinelli: I demand a duel of honor.
Johnny: I'm not fighting you, Spinelli.
Spinelli: Let the fisticuffs begin.
Johnny: I said no.
Spinelli: Come on. Look, I'm not going to hit someone that's not going to fight back.
Johnny: Then give it up. It's not happening.
Spinelli: It is not fair for you to keep professing your love for the original blonde one while toying with Maximista's affections.
Johnny: You're right, Spinelli. It's not fair.
Nikolas: Alexis, what an unexpected surprise.
Alexis: Don't get mad. Alfred called. He's very worried about you. He thought that I would be worried, too, because he said Rebecca is here -- and I am.
Nikolas: I understand that you are, but there's no need to be. Brandy?
Alexis: No, thank you. We're family, right? We're it. We're all we got, so we have to be able to talk to each other, tell each other anything. And I want to say this very delicately, but there is a long history of mental illness and obsession in the Cassadine family.
Nikolas: I'm aware of all of that.
Alexis: You're aware that your father was so obsessed with your mother that he imprisoned her, right?
Nikolas: Alexis, I'm a long way from kidnapping Rebecca and forcing her to bear my child.
Alexis: Nikolas, you're following her around like a stalker. It's making her uncomfortable.
Nikolas: Things have changed.
Alexis: That's rationalizing, which is a sign. This is a very predictable pattern, and I really don't want to see you self-destruct.
Nikolas: You don't understand. She may have breast cancer.
Jerry: Hello, brother. I hope this finds you well. I hadn't planned to be in touch so soon, but I have a bit of a confession to make.
Jerry: The truth always surfaces sooner or later. And then it occurred to me a bit late that you and Carly might be profoundly affected by the information on the DVDs. I genuinely had not considered that part of the experience. See, Carly is the best thing that happened to you, and I hope you're back together.
[Knock at door]
Jason: What did Patrick say?
Carly: Oh, that Michael moving his hand doesn't mean he's waking up, that it was a reflex, an involuntary movement.
Jason: Okay, what do you think?
Carly: I don't know. When I left the institute, I knew. I basically fired Patrick, which I feel justified in doing because I think he is all over the place with the situation with Robin, and I don't think he's able to handle everything going on with Michael.
Carly: You think I'm wrong.
Jason: Well, I mean, do you really think he's too emotional to make a diagnosis, or did you fire him because he didn't say what you wanted him to say?
Carly: Okay, I know he's a great doctor. He is. He saved your life. I will forever be grateful. He's also the doctor who removed the bullet from Michael's brain. He said that night Michael was never going to wake up. I think he's invested in being right. That's what I think.
Jason: Okay, all right. I guess that's possible.
Carly: It can't be nothing. It cannot be nothing, okay? Michael hasn't moved. And two weeks after the surgical procedure, his hand moves?
Jason: Okay, I -- just tell me, how much did he move?
Carly: He just twitched his fingers. I was across the room. I was turning off the light and shutting the door -- but what if for just that moment he woke up? What if he just woke up?
Jason: Okay, what are you going to do?
Carly: Jax is calling a specialist, this woman named Ingrid Hensen.
Jason: I thought the test showed that Michael's not a candidate for that procedure.
Carly: Patrick performed that test, and maybe he saw the results he wanted to see.
Jason: Maybe that's what you're doing right now.
Lulu: I have zero interest in Ethan Lovett.
Maxie: Oh, that's why you couldn't take your eyes off of him.
Lulu: I was shoving him out the door. He's a lowlife and I hope my dad fires him.
Maxie: I think maybe you left this on purpose so the adorable Ethan could bring it back to you.
Lulu: You are pathetic.
Maxie: Fine. Keep your little crush a secret. My lips are sealed until you become a regular at the Haunted Star.
Lulu: You're trying to shift the focus off of you and Johnny and how much time you're spending together.
Maxie: That's a job, remember? Publicity for "Crimson"?
Lulu: Spare me the excuses. You are way past the call of duty.
Maxie: Insecure much?
Lulu: At least I'm not throwing myself at someone else's boyfriend.
Maxie: You know, we could do this for hours, but I have emails to return and you should probably go put that scarf away.
Lulu: This isn't over.
Maxie: Hi. Is Spinelli okay? He ran out after you with a really lame cover story.
Johnny: No, he's suspicious, but I didn't tell him that we had to take Ric to the E.R. to get his stomach pumped. You didn't say anything to Lulu, did you?
Maxie: No, of course not.
Johnny: We have to keep our mouths shut, Maxie. No one can ever know.
Maxie: Don't worry. Lulu will never find out what really happened.
Jason: Carly, I want to believe that Michael's waking up.
Carly: But you don't.
Jason: I -- no, I don't know. You know, if I was there and I saw his hand move --
Carly: You think I'm making it up?
Jason: No, no, I think Michael moved, but I also think that you really want this to mean something. Look, I can see you gearing yourself up to fight. And you know what? I'm glad for Michael, because you are the best shot that he's got. But I also know that maybe this time, no matter how hard you fight, you could lose. Maybe what happened to Michael can't be fixed. I wish that I could protect you from that day, and I wish that I could take all this pain for you. Look, I just -- I don't know what to say. I don't know what to do. I don't know how to help.
Carly: It's okay. It's okay that you don't believe. It's okay. I can believe enough for the both of us. If I'm wrong and Michael doesn't wake up, I just want to know that I gave him everything I had, all my faith and all my strength. I want to know that I was the best mother that I could be for him.
Jerry: While everyone knows that Ian shot the bullet that lodged in little Michael's brain, almost no one knows that we were both working on orders from Claudia Zacchara. I'm sorry, Jax. Even I'm ashamed of the part I played in little Michael's tragedy, and I regret the pain that this will undoubtedly cause you and Carly. Carly was always ambivalent at best about me. And in all fairness, I put her through hell at the Metro Court. If she should find out that I was partly to blame for Michael getting shot, it might alter her feelings towards you. After all, motherly love isn't entirely rational. So hear me, Jax. What happened to Michael isn't your fault. It's Claudia Zacchara's. It's mine. And most of all, that idiot Ian Devlin, who is very lucky to be dead at this point. You are the person in the world that I most care about, Jax. Now that you know the truth, maybe you can find a way to avert disaster.
Nikolas: I was with Rebecca at Mercy when she was having a mammogram and found out she needs a biopsy.
Alexis: You don't think this is beyond coincidence?
Nikolas: Look, I'm in a unique position to help her right now because I understand what she's going through.
Alexis: Well, I think it's ill advised for you to help her with this potential bout of cancer.
Nikolas: I'll be the judge.
Alexis: You don't even know her, Nikolas. You're going to go through this ordeal with a woman you don't even know? I mean, the treatments, the diagnosis --
Nikolas: I appreciate your concern, I do, but I am well aware of what I'm doing.
Alexis: I disagree. I think that the lines between you and Rebecca are already blurred, and I'm concerned they're just going to disappear.
Nikolas: Don't imply that I could project the kind of feelings that I had for Emily, the kind of love, onto someone else.
Alexis: Would you be paying this much attention to Rebecca if she didn't look exactly like Emily?
Nikolas: The way she looks isn't the point. I've grown fond of her. I like her.
Alexis: Okay, so are you sure that you're not seeing some potential because of Rebecca's breast cancer that she's somehow related to Emily?
Nikolas: Stop it. I really don't care about your analysis, okay? And I don't give a damn if it's advisable. Rebecca's vulnerable right now, and she's potentially fighting for her life. I will see her through this.
[Cell phone rings]
Rebecca: Hey. It's been a tough day. I don't want to get into it. Look, I don't think I can go through with this after all.
