Maxie: Where is my cab? I'm going to be late.

Lulu: I'll call again.

Maxie: No, no, don't do that. Do the list, okay? How am I supposed to concentrate on finding Spinelli if you gut us both fired while I'm gone? Tell me what you've written down.

Lulu: Reschedule photo shoot, tell Clarice Kate needs the rewrite by 5:00, and schmooze Federico.

Maxie: Could you also check on Robin at some point? I've been a little worried about her.

Lulu: Why?

Maxie: Something's just been kind of off. The new baby, the new house, not to mention what she's been wearing -- total disaster.

Lulu: Do you think, you know, she would, like, ever start drinking in the middle of the day, I mean, somewhere like my dad's casino or something?

Maxie: I didn't say Robin had lost her mind. She's just been thinking a little too much about burp cloths. So stop by, say hello, and do not be obvious.

Lulu: Okay, I'll go check on her.

Maxie: Could you also call about Kate's dress on the 28th and make sure that Johnny returns her phone call at some point, please? If you guys are even speaking to each other.

Lulu: We're fine. We're just -- we're busy.

Maxie: It's hard to keep track these days. Could you please call about my cab? I'm really going to be late.

Lulu: Okay, just be careful. Keep in touch.

Maxie: Lulu, are you actually worried about me?

[Lulu scoffs]

Lulu: Who's worried? I just don't want to do your job forever and the FBI is looking for Spinelli to put him in prison, so --

Maxie: Oh, thank you. That's exactly what I need to be thinking about -- prison jumpsuits my entire trip to Los Angeles.

Spinelli: Gods of Zune. Has the Jackal awakened in cyber nirvana?

Spinelli: Damsel in distress?

Cassandra: Welcome, Mr. Jackal.

Spinelli: Are we hapless prisoners? Are we trapped?

Cassandra: That's up to you. If you make me rich, well, you'll run free once again. If you don't, you'll die.

Carly: So Patrick's on his way.  Dr. Drake -- you know him. He's going to give you that test that I told you about. I finally made up my mind. It won't hurt. It won't hurt you at all. And, you know, if the results are good, then you might have this procedure that could bring you back to us. Okay, I'm going to make you a deal -- and this is just between us. You get through this test and you try as hard as you can to respond, and if the test results say that there's no chance, then I'm still going to love you with all my heart. I'm going to come see you all the time and you are still going to be my little boy, but I will accept that you're going to be like this forever.

Sonny: Claudia talking about Michael.

Kate: Do you want to tell him, Claudia, or should I?

Claudia: I was just telling Kate about that test.

Sonny: I don't want everybody in town knowing about that test.

Kate: Oh, right, then by all means, don't tell me. I mean, who knows if I can keep a secret.

Sonny: I don't mean you.  You deserve to know, just don't tell anybody. Patrick is running a test on Michael tonight at the Aftercare Institution in Manhattan.

Claudia: Think Carly decided to go through with it?

Sonny: I just got off the phone with her. You know, if Michael responds, he could be a great candidate for an experimental procedure.

Kate: Is there a chance that he could wake up?

Sonny: The odds are against it, but the procedure is not going to hurt Michael. And if it makes Carly feel better -- I don't -- look, I don't mind you knowing, okay? You've been involved with this from the start.

Kate: Right. And there's plenty of blame to go around, right, Claudia?

Sonny: What does Claudia have to do with what happened?

Spinelli: Surely, the Jackal has misheard. Why would the damsel in distress threaten me with death?

Cassandra: Good tech support is so hard to find.

Spinelli: Dire threats are unnecessary. It is the Jackal's mission to serve the downtrodden.

Cassandra: I'm not downtrodden. I'm an art thief.

Spinelli: But no doubt driven into a life of crime because your ex-husband absconded with all your funds, right?

Cassandra: There is no ex-husband. The transfer of funds was a test. You passed with flying colors.

Spinelli: Wait, I'm sorry, a test? Do you doubt the Jackal's karmic quest to smite down injustice and raise the oppressed? My hard drive for a bracing cup of java -- you drugged the Jackal's coffee. You deceiver, temptress, fie on you!

Cassandra: Calm down. It's all in the name of art.

Spinelli: I feel my reason and hearing have been compromised by your sinister actions.

Cassandra: I hope not, for your sake.

Spinelli: I perceive a less-than-subtle threat.

Cassandra: I'm an art thief with my eye on a piece that's worth millions. Unfortunately, it's in an auction house inside a vault controlled by a beta input computer link.

Spinelli: Well, even the Jackal cannot hack into beta input.

Cassandra: You can if you're on the premises. We'll do a run-through here, then I'll bring you to the auction house. You'll have 20 minutes to open the vault. If you succeed, we'll see.

Spinelli: And should the Jackal fail?

Carly: "In Niger, there are cheetahs" -- hi.

Patrick: Go ahead. We have time.

Carly: Oh, um, Jason got Michael this book and it makes me feel better to read to him. Who knows, maybe he hears me.

Patrick: Yeah.

Carly: Thank you for doing this on such short notice. I don't trust anyone else to do the test.

Patrick: Carly, I want to be sure we're on the same page here.

Carly: Okay.

Patrick: You understand what we're doing here tonight is a preliminary test. The objective is to find out whether or not Michael is a candidate for the experimental procedure.

Carly: Yep, and the odds are against him, I know.

Patrick: The clinicals are inconclusive. I don't want to create false hope.

Carly: So are you saying we shouldn't even bother trying?

Patrick: It's not going to hurt Michael. The risk of side effects are minimal, and it might give you and Sonny some kind of resolution.

Carly: But you don't think  Michael's going to get any better, do you?

Patrick: Carly, I'm sorry. The night I took the blood out of Michael's brain, I was sure he wasn't going to wake up.

Sonny: Kate, it's a tough night and it doesn't help when you show up here and pick a fight with Claudia.

Kate: Why is it so easy to blame me? Why? The real problem is standing right over there.

Sonny: I'm not blaming you for anything.

Kate: You're not?

Sonny: No.

Kate: Sonny, you deserve to know the truth about Michael.

Sonny: I know the truth about Michael. I told him I'd keep him safe. I couldn't. I took him to a dangerous situation and I -- I wanted to protect him and I didn't. My son trusted me. He wanted to be with his father and he ended up tied to a bed for the rest of his life. That's what he got for his troubles. Now Patrick is doing some tests on him. It doesn't really matter anyway, because it doesn't help me, it doesn't help you to come here and fight.

Kate: But what if I could change --

Sonny: You can't. I can't change.

Kate: Why are you so arrogant? You've always been arrogant ever since you were a kid. Nobody could tell you anything. I don't know what to do, Sonny. This is the way that you like it. You feel that you deserve what you get.

Rebecca: Okay, where should we start?

Elizabeth: Where are you from?

Rebecca: Opal City, Washington. Way too far from Seattle and way too close to Yakima.

Elizabeth: Did you grow up there?

Rebecca: Um, I was an only child, wasn't adopted -- everybody asks. I'm sorry if that was rude.

Elizabeth: No, that's -- tell me about your parents.

Rebecca: William and Nancy Shaw. Mom works in the hospital cafeteria, Dad's a logger. Childhood was fine. Got my x-ray tech degree from the Yakima Junior College.

Elizabeth: Did you or your parents ever live in Arizona?

Rebecca: No, no. The Quartermaines already asked me that. Never heard of her birth parents. What are their names?

Elizabeth: Hank and Paige Bowen. Her dad died when she was really young, but she was very close to her mom. I'm assuming all of your aunts and uncles are present and accounted for.

Rebecca: Yeah, afraid so.

Elizabeth: Oh.

Rebecca: Wow, it's weird. I feel like everything I say lets you down.

Elizabeth: Oh, no, no, don't feel like that. So what brought you to Port Charles?

Rebecca: Have you ever just wanted to get away from home?

Elizabeth: Yes, as a matter of fact.

Rebecca: New York City was the plan, but it was way more complicated than I expected.

Elizabeth: That, too, I understand.

Rebecca: And, I don't know, went through my savings in a couple of weeks, none of the jobs paid well, and the rents were unbelievable. Port Charles seemed like a pretty good compromise, at least for now. The hospital is holding my job. I can't really afford to move anywhere else, so it just made sense to settle in.

Elizabeth: But you have to admit, I mean, this whole thing is an incredible coincidence.

Rebecca: What if it wasn't? Would that make all of you happy?

Jax: Carly.

Carly: Oh, Jax, I didn't think you were going to make it in time.

Jax: I'm sorry. I was doing a little research of my own. It took a little longer than I expected.

Carly: What kind of research?

Jax: I tracked down the doctor who pioneered the procedure, Ingrid Hensen. Patrick had already spoken to her regarding Michael's case.

Carly: Okay, please don't tell me you think this is a bad idea.

Jax: No. Dr. Hensen thinks that Michael will make an excellent candidate for her procedure. And if the test results are good, she will take him on as a patient.

Carly: Okay, so you really think this can work?

Jax: Yeah, I mean, I think anything of this caliber is worth a try.

Sonny: I can't do this right now.

Kate: Oh, so after everything that I've been through for you, you're just going to dismiss me?

Sonny: It's not always about you, Kate.

Kate: No, of course not. It's never about me, Sonny. It's always about you and what you want, right? Who cares if people get trashed along the way? Who cares if a fiancée gets shot a couple of times? If a boy ends up in a permanent coma?

Sonny: Just leave.

Kate: It's all just collateral damage.

Sonny: Just-- just leave. I'm not going to get into this right now with you.

Kate: Oh, my God, I don't even know, I -- I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I don't even know who I am anymore. I can't keep doing this. I -- I -- you know, you said to me that I never would ever belong in your world. Do you know what I refused to believe, Sonny? I refused to believe until this exact moment that you cannot exist in any other, and that no truth and no love is ever going to change that. I know that you regret what happened to Michael, but you don't regret it enough to change your life for your son? You won't give up the power or the money or the privilege to lie down with filth? And I was the fool. I was the fool to think that you would change for truth and for love, and I can't -- I don't like myself right now. I don't like who I'm becoming. I'm not -- I'm not going to do it anymore. I'm finished. No, I am finished and I'm not coming back, Sonny. I'm not coming -- it's over.

Sonny: What the hell was that really about?

Rebecca: Look, I don't mean to be rude, but it just seems like the more I tell the truth, the more people don't want to hear it. I just told you why I'm in Port Charles. If it's a coincidence, it's a coincidence. I don't know what else to say about it.

Elizabeth: Why did you choose medicine?

Rebecca: Um, I like the work. I'm good at it. It's strictly a day job.

Elizabeth: That's why I got my nursing degree, because it's a solid, marketable skill, and it has flexible hours.

Rebecca: You have kids, right? That's why you're meeting Lucky?

Elizabeth: Yeah, two little boys, Cameron and Jake. I promise I won't pull out the pictures. What about you?

Rebecca: No kids, no husband. Had some boyfriends, but nothing that serious.

Elizabeth: Must be nice being so independent.

Rebecca: It is, yeah, most of the time. So you and luck are divorced?

Elizabeth: Yes, yes, we are. The past couple of years have been complicated, but we get along great now.

Rebecca: It would be so much simpler to be Nikolas, huh? Have that huge, overwhelming love that's the answer to everything.

Elizabeth: Emily was a complete romantic, too. I'm not sure if Nikolas will ever get over her.

Rebecca: Yeah, you know, I should have been nicer to him. I'm just trying to get my own life together. I can't worry about anyone else's.

Elizabeth: Yeah, well, the sooner Nikolas accepts the reality, the better.

Lucky: Hey, you two.

Elizabeth: Hey, here are the medical release forms for day care.

Lucky: Okay, I got it.

Elizabeth: Thanks.

Lucky: So, uh, how is Kelly’s working out?

Rebecca: Um, doing a lot better, thanks. Why don't you sit down and try out my waitressing skills.

Spinelli: When is said heist to occur?

Cassandra: Consider that need-to-know. For now, get familiar with the system and figure out the code for the auction house vaults. Don't take all day.

Spinelli: Deepest apologies, system of the gods, but expedience must override style in this most desperate measure.

Spinelli: No, no, no! The Jackal will not be booted off. No!

[Spinelli groans]

Maxie's voice: Hey, Spinelli, there's only one way out of here and you know how to find it.

Lulu: Your messages, your latte, your list of alternate dresses for the 28th.

Kate: Why hasn't Johnny called me back?

Lulu: He was here to pick up his check and he's going to be back.

Kate: Uh-huh. Why did you let him leave?

Lulu: It's just -- it's kind of crazy with Maxie not --

Kate: Buck up, Lulu. Get Warren on the phone, light a fire under Clarice, and find out where Johnny is.

Lulu: Okay.

Johnny: Sorry it's taken me so long to get back with you.

Kate: Oh, well, I'm so honored that you deigned us with your presence.

Johnny: What do you need?

Kate: I was going to pay you to make some appearances in Manhattan at some parties, but since Maxie has taken it upon herself to go after Spinelli –

Johnny: Why don't I take Lulu?

Robin: Hey.

Patrick: What are you doing here?

Robin: Hello to you, too. Is Michael prepped?

Patrick: I wasn't expecting you.

Robin: Sonny asked me to consult. You were standing right there, remember?

Patrick: Yeah, but you were also in the living room when Carly asked me to do the procedure tonight, and you didn't say anything about coming to New York City.

Robin: Well, I got a babysitter, if that's what you're worried about. So where do I scrub in?

Patrick: Robin, you can't just waltz into an O.R. in an unfamiliar hospital.

Robin: Isn't that what you're doing?

Patrick: No, I'm the lead surgeon. I had to pull a bunch of favors in order to make this happen so quickly.

Robin: All I want to do is observe. I'm sure it will be fine.

Patrick: Robin, we're starting in 15 minutes.

Robin: Then I better get changed.

Patrick: Look, this isn't going to work.

Robin: Another set of eyes is always better, you know that. I've read the clinicals. This kind of experimental procedure is my thing, and I'm good at it, remember?

Patrick: No, I understand that you're good at it, but the team is set. I can't just make changes right now. This is nothing personal.

Robin: Sonny is depending on me to give him answers, and now I'm not allowed in the O.R.?

Patrick: Robin, Sonny is not going to want to do anything to risk his son.

Robin: Okay, so now me being in the O.R. is putting Michael's life at risk.

Patrick: Look, it's not fair to the rest of the team.

Robin: Wow. I'm obviously not the kind of mother you think I should be, but when did you stop respecting me as a doctor?

Sonny: Why would you even mention Michael to Kate?

Claudia: Because she came barging in here again, and I honestly thought if she knew what you were going through, she might back off.

Sonny: Nobody knows what I'm going through. That night it happened, Kate and I were so happy. I honestly believed that I could change, that I could give my kids a life without violence so they could live in a world that was safe because I believed it to be. Last I place I thought something would happen would be my own warehouse. Max begged to go with me. I wouldn't even consider it because the truth is, I was trying to be something that I wasn't and now my son is paying for it.

Sonny: Do you know that I go over and over in my head thinking about if I had just -- if I had just been an inch closer to my son, the bullet would have hit me instead of ricocheting --

Sonny: Michael would have grown up without a father, but he would have grown up.

Rebecca: I found out what you mean about Heartbreak Hoover.

Lucky: Already?

Rebecca: Yeah, what can I say? I learn by doing.

Elizabeth: Heartbreak Hoover?

Lucky: Yeah, Rebecca -- she's a pretty serious runner, and I warned her about that steep hill on Hoover Street just as you come out of the park.

Elizabeth: Oh, right, where the boys like to sled.

Lucky: Yeah.

Rebecca: I'd better concentrate on running up the hill instead of sledding down if I'm going to be spending much time at Eli’s.

Elizabeth: Oh, you found Eli’s?

Rebecca: Yeah, thanks to Lucky. So now all I need is some live music to go along with those ribs.

Lucky: You know there's all kinds of great places around here if you're into music.

Rebecca: I'd love to go check them out.

Lucky: Well, how about I make a list?

[Phone rings]

Rebecca: Yeah, that'd be great. Great. Okay, so I'm going to go get that call. I'll talk to you later.

Elizabeth: You guys really hit it off.

Lucky: Yeah, she's nice, just as long as you don't expect her to be somebody else.

Elizabeth: Yeah, you get that she wants you to ask her out.

Devil Maxie: Just seduce Cassandra. No woman could resist the Jackal's charms. Then the artful evil-doer will be helpless and at your mercy. Perfect time to escape.

Angel Maxie: Don't you dare, Spinelli. Be patient. It's only a matter of time before Winnifred figures out what happened to you and calls Jason.

Devil Maxie: Weird Winnifred? Do you really want her helping you in your time of need?

Angel Maxie: Winnifred feels horrible about all of that and you know it. Didn't she follow you to the City of Angels? That's my kind of town, by the way.

Devil Maxie: Shows how much she knows about Los Angeles.

Angel Maxie: Winnifred is probably calling Jason right now.

Devil Maxie: Do you really want to wait for that blockhead? You're Jackal P.I., savior of the oppressed, hero of the downtrodden. You don't need anyone's help.

Angel Maxie: Hello. Not to be rude or anything, but what about the Russians and anybody else who smacks you around any time they feel like it?

Devil Maxie: That was before, before you found your essence, the wild animal within, the Jackal.

Angel Maxie: In cyberspace, not real space and time.

Devil Maxie: Ignore her. Once you've astounded the evil Cassandra with your manly charms, you can foil the entire art thieve ring and save the day and become a hero. Heroes really turn me on.

Angel Maxie: Why are you trying to convince Spinelli to be unfaithful to you?

Devil Maxie: I'm trying to get him out of here, which is a hell of a lot more than you're trying to do.

Angel Maxie: Do you really want him to have sex with an art thief?

Devil Maxie: You don't have to do the deed. You just have to act like you want to do it and then make a run for it.

Angel Maxie: One, Spinelli can't run that fast. Two, what if she does want him? She'll be even madder if she figures out he's faking it. And three, maybe you treat Spinelli that way --

Devil Maxie: I love Spinelli. He is my best friend.

Angel Maxie: What if he actually slept with someone else?  Would you still love him? Would you forgive him?

Devil Maxie: Yes, a thousand times yes. If his manly prowess brings the Jackal back to me, do whatever it takes.

Angel Maxie: Don't do it, Spinelli. Don't break my heart.

Devil Maxie: Do it, Spinelli.

Angel Maxie: Wait!

Devil Maxie: Be a man of action.

Angel Maxie: Spinelli, please, be my true friend.

Devil Maxie: Please, Spinelli.

Spinelli: Be gone warring visions. The Jackal shall find -- the Jackal shall find another way. Please accept my humble apology as we move forward as one.

Lulu: I would be totally glad to go to Manhattan. I could wear the dress and we could go to a few clubs, make sure that the dress gets seen, and it would be fun.

Kate: Maxie and Johnny are the face of "Crimson" for now.

Lulu: We can work with that, you know, create some mystery around where Maxie is.

Kate: I really don't want the world knowing that she is mooning over Spinelli. You obviously just want to go to Manhattan. Why?

Lulu: To help "Crimson."

Kate: That's great, Lulu. So what you need to do is you need to prioritize and focus.

Lulu: I realize that, but if the dress --

Kate: Lulu, I just spent the last year of my life focusing on the wrong things. I let my career be dictated by my emotions. No more.

Lulu: I value my job, but I refuse to apologize for wanting a personal life.

Kate: Oh, well, fine then. Why don't you just finish your calls and take the rest of the night off? You can close the door on the way out.

Johnny: Wow, that was really nice.

Lulu: Are you kidding? She's trying to guilt me into pulling an all-nighter. It was very nice of you to offer to take me to Manhattan.

Johnny: Well, hurry up and finish your calls. I think I came up with a better idea anyway.

Lulu: Okay, like what?

Johnny: Trust me.

Robin: What is the problem? All I want to do is observe.

Patrick: Hey, this isn't going to work. We'll discuss it later.

Robin: So I'm dismissed? That's what you're saying?

Patrick: I'm about to open up a kid's head in an unfamiliar hospital with a team that I don't know very well.

Robin: Well, you know me. And that used to mean something, remember? Before when I was a real doctor, before I had a baby?

Patrick: Robin, please, nobody needs added pressure. We'll discuss it later.

Jax: Is there a problem?

Robin: We're fine.

Carly: What are you doing here?

Robin: Sonny asked me to consult. I'm here to observe.

Carly: Nobody said anything to me about this. I was standing in your living room, and you never said a word.

Robin: Sonny wants me to be involved. He knows how much I care about Michael.

Jax: Could I have a word with you?

Carly: Why don't you go home and take care of your own kid and let me take care of mine.

Jax: Okay, we'll just be right over here.

Robin: Sure, that's --

Jax: Come on.

Carly: This procedure could be Michael's very last chance. I don't want to risk something going wrong because you're too damn focused on Robin to do your job.

Lucky: Would it bother you if I went out with Rebecca?

Elizabeth: Well, Lucky, she looks so much like Emily.

Lucky: So that would be a yes.

Elizabeth: Yeah -- well, no, that would be -- it's none of my business. If you want to ask her out, go for it.

Lucky: Do you find this a little weird, I mean, discussing each other's person lives?

Elizabeth: A little, but we're in a good place.

Lucky: Yes, we are.

Elizabeth: See you later.

Rebecca: That seemed pretty friendly.

Lucky: Yeah, sometimes divorces work out better than marriages, you know.

Rebecca: So you want to go hear some music tonight?

Lulu: How did you get the keys to this place?

Johnny: I put down both "Crimson" checks for a security deposit and first month's rent.

Lulu: On this place? Are you serious?

Johnny: Yeah, I figured no one else is going to hire me, and I might as well work for myself. And I am pretty good with cars.

Lulu: Oh, my gosh. This is great.

Johnny: Yeah, it's a start.

Lulu: Oh, my gosh. I have such a good feeling about this place. You and I were here. You and Maxie landed here during the storm. This place has such a good vibe. I just know that everything is going to be great.

Johnny: It is.

Kate: Thank you, Warren. I know. It's a whole new approach. It's young and it's hip. I really think the whole street walker look is so passé. Listen, I have a dreadful meeting coming up that I can't avoid. Can I call you back? What?

Claudia: Why didn't you tell Sonny the truth tonight?

Kate: You must have a death wish.

Claudia: What's the game? What do you want?

Kate: Nothing -- at least, not from you.

Robin: Jax, all I want to do is observe. I have every right. And Carly should be glad that I'm interested.

Jax: Okay, put yourself in Carly's place. What if Emma were in Michael's position and the surgeon got distracted at the last minute?

Robin: Well, it's not my fault that all Patrick can think about is the fact that I should be home taking care of the baby and doing nothing else.

Jax: Okay, let me to put it to you this way. What if you were the lead surgeon and Patrick tried to force his way into your O.R.?

Robin: Because he already knew that Sonny wanted me involved.

Jax: But did he know that you were coming today?

Robin: He should have. It's how I work.

Jax: Isn't it your job to make that clear to him so he can make the call?

Robin: I'm trying to make it clear to him that I'm ready to get back to work.

Jax: Look, what's happening here tonight is about Michael. Now, Patrick is about to undertake a very delicate procedure that could determine the rest of Michael's life. He needs to concentrate on that and that alone.

Robin: All I want to do is observe.

Jax: Well, then you should have made the arrangements with Carly long before now. And just to let you know, Sonny has no legal rights to Michael whatsoever. It's not fair to try to force your way in now.

Robin: I'm just trying to be a good doctor again.

Sonny: I'm sorry; I got a couple questions to ask you about --

Robin: I'm sorry, I can't help you. I've been removed from the case.

Patrick: We can postpone the procedure. The timeline isn't critical.

Carly: I can't believe Robin would pull this, using Michael to prove she's still a doctor.

Patrick: Carly, look, Robin might be have been having some problems right now, but it won't affect --

Carly: Problems? Are you kidding me? What's it going to take? Get Robin some help, but leave Michael out of it. He has paid enough for other people's mistakes, Patrick.

Patrick: My personal life will never interfere with my work. I want you to feel comfortable. I can do the procedure now, I can do it later, or you can get someone else.

Sonny: What's going on with Robin? Did you kick her off the case?

Carly: I told her I didn't like her showing up here at the last minute. This test is too damn important.

Patrick: Robin and I had a misunderstanding. I apologize for the way it was handled. I just told Carly I can do the procedure now, later -- it's up to you.

Carly: Let's do it.

Winnifred: A thorough search of the premises has yielded nothing, and I fear that the Jackal is in grave danger.

Ralph: Well, maybe he just decided to move on.

Winnifred: No, you don't understand. The Jackal would never ever leave his priestess stranded, waiting for a freighter to carry her to points unknown. He is my soul mate, my cyber compadre. The Jackal is practically my boyfriend.

Maxie: I don't think so. Damian Spinelli is not your boyfriend.

Ralph: Who are you?

Winnifred: Maximista.

Maxie: I'm pretty sure I told you not to call me that. I'm Maxie Jones, Kate Howard’s first assistant at "Crimson."

Ralph: Ralph.

Maxie: Hi, Ralph. Where's Spinelli?

Winnifred: The Jackal is in dire peril. He's in a dangerous liaison with a femme fatal.

Maxie: Where is she? I will claw her eyes out.

Winnifred: I know not.

Maxie: You lost Spinelli?

Spinelli: You can do this. The Jackal commands you to open!

[Spinelli groans]

[Door buzzes]

Spinelli: Whoo-hoo!

Cassandra: Well done. If you can unlock this door, Mr. Jackal, you can unlock that vault.

Claudia: You've been making my life miserable for weeks threatening to tell Sonny the truth. You have a perfect opportunity tonight and you don't use it. There has to be a catch.

Kate: Well, Claudia, why don't we just call it a revelation? Maybe you can understand. You see, when I said that Michael was collateral damage and I saw the look on Sonny's face, I realized that if I keep pursuing this, I'm no better than you. And while I don't give a damn what happens to you, Sonny has endured more pain than you even know. I don't need to cause him any more.

Claudia: So you're getting all noble on me? That's what this is about?

Kate: You know what I realized? I realized that the only person I'm hurting in all of this is me. I'm done. I'm finished. I don't want a part of it.

Claudia: Why would I believe you, Kate?

Kate: Oh, Claudia, I really don't care what you believe, all right? I don't want someone's death on my conscience, not even yours. I mean, really, I just don't know how you do it. I don't know what your day is like. How do you get through it knowing that you're the one responsible for putting Michael in that coma, huh? Here's the thing. Secrets like this, they don't get kept forever, right? Eventually, it's going to come out, especially with all of those DVDs just floating around all over the place. Sonny is going to find out. He's just not going to find out from me.

[Phone rings]

Kate: You're excused. Hello, Feddie. Yes, did you see page 10? I know. Warren is just over the moon about it.

Patrick: The procedure's going to take a little bit of time. I'll update you as soon as I can.

Sonny: Thank you.

Patrick: Yeah.

Carly: Okay, I need you guys to do me a favor. While Michael is in that operating room, I need you guys to believe with me. I need you to remember how tough Michael is, and I need you to believe what I believe. Michael is going to sail through this test and he is going to have the experimental surgery and he's going to wake up.

Sonny: I just don't want you to break your own heart.

Carly: I get it. I get it. You know, hope is scary. But we need to think about Michael, think about Michael coming back to us. You believe that. No matter how difficult the road, Michael is coming home.
