Patrick: Somebody made a mistake and sent them to the E.R. when they should have gone to the O.R. when Earl Bragg was sent up there.
Inspector Rayner: So, by that time you'd identified the patient in question as Earl Bragg?
Patrick: Yes, he came in with his I.D. when the ambulance brought him in. We didn't know who he was, what he was doing, or what he was carrying or what was about to happen.
Inspector Rayner: At what point did you become aware that Mr. Bragg was a threat?
Patrick: When I saw the X-rays I could tell that there was something wrong. Nurse Johnson, who is our head nurse, she got a call. I got on the line. They explained to me that Earl Bragg was potentially carrying your classified material. So, that's --
Inspector Rayner: For the record, Dr. Drake, none of this can be laid at the FBI's door. This is an Equinox screw-up. We are strictly a janitorial service, cleaning up their mess.
Patrick: Are you kidding me? This is a mess to you guys? Why don't you try calling it a disaster or maybe a deathtrap? Or why don't you try admitting that this tragedy should have and could have been prevented?
Winnifred: Agent Winnifred Leeds, systems and analysis. Well, that's because you're -- that is, unfortunately, we have not had time to organize our records. We're compiling lists of potential victims from several different sources. Yes, sir, in addition to Sonny Corinthos, his wife Claudia Zacchara Corinthos, was also in attendance. We don't have a location on her at this time.
Jerry: You will find what you seek in Sonny's plush, if somewhat over decorated study. Until then, you're on shaky ground, darling. Of course, if Sonny finds my missive first, it will simply be the end. No doubt you've realized there's a clue somewhere, so good luck deciphering it.
Claudia: Shaky ground or the end? Oh, damn it, Jerry. Burn in hell.
Sonny: Lose something?
Elizabeth: I didn't expect to see you back here again.
Patrick: Yeah, do you have Mr. Josko's chart? Thank you.
Elizabeth: You know, there are other doctors, like your brother.
Patrick: And we could be looking at vertebrobasilar ischema, so that's a pretty tough diagnosis.
Elizabeth: And you don't think he's up for it?
Patrick: I think he has the tools to be a good surgeon, yes.
Elizabeth: He certainly inherited the ego.
Patrick: Okay, since Emma was born and I've taken on this domestic lifestyle, matt has taken the opportunity to try and one up his big brother. Every time I leave, he rushes in to take the big cases.
Elizabeth: I wonder where he got this competitive thing from?
Patrick: This competitive thing can be a good thing. It can make you a better surgeon unless you are careless, which of course, I've never made that mistake ever.
Elizabeth: Of course, of course.
Patrick: Yes, but I've seen it done. I've seen it happen.
Elizabeth: So, in between running home to help your wife and the baby and the move and all that stuff, you're here to make sure your brother doesn't get in over his head?
Patrick: I'm here to do my job, Elizabeth.
Elizabeth: Well, your secret is safe with me.
Patrick: Thank you.
Elizabeth: Also, I wanted to talk to you about Robin. I can understand why you're so concerned, because she's struggling with everything.
Patrick: Yeah, and thank you for watching Emma and helping her get the place together. It helps out.
Elizabeth: Yeah, sure, but I think I overstepped.
Patrick: No, no, it was very gracious of you.
Elizabeth: And a little insensitive. I should have thought about how it would affect her.
Patrick: It's just she should have never taken that tone with you, to be honest with you.
Elizabeth: It's okay. I understand exactly where she's coming from.
Patrick: She's not mad at you. You know that, right? She's mad at me.
Ric: The Zacchara organization does not require your particular services at this time, Ms. McCall.
Anthony: That depends entirely on what particular services she's offering to provide. I have many needs.
Sam: I hope you don't mind me approaching you in this way.
Anthony: So far, I don't mind a bit. Va-va-voom. So, what can you do me for?
Sam: Okay, Mr. Zacchara, I am an experienced ship's pilot with extensive knowledge on these waterways and how they're patrolled. I can land any cargo, no questions asked.
Ric: And probably pass any information off to Jason Morgan.
Sam: Jason and I ended a long time ago –
Ric: Or maybe Lucky Spencer, your new boyfriend, the cop.
Anthony: Score one for the ambulance chaser.
Sam: Ric hates my guts because he and I slept together a long time ago while he was still married to my mother.
Anthony: That was a terrible indiscretion on his part, not to mention yours.
Sam: Yeah, it showed my mother exactly what kind of a man that Ric is, and he's never been able to forgive me for that. Jason and I are ancient history, and my on again, off again relationship with Lucky, well, it's like that because, let me tell you, I'm not going to let any man now or ever run my life. I need work. I'm good at it. I've been doing it for years, and I've tried the nine-to-five thing, but being a good girl, it just really hasn't worked out well for me.
Anthony: Good girls generally aren't.
Ric: Anthony, you're not seriously considering hiring --
Anthony: Finally my son comes to see me.
Johnny: I had no idea you'd be here.
Anthony: Why haven't you returned my calls?
Johnny: I'm going to see Lulu.
Anthony: Johnny, you continue to defy me and see what happens.
Lulu: Who was Spinelli talking to at Jake’s?
Maxie: Coleman, who else?
Lulu: Why are you being so weird about it?
Maxie: I just am worried that Spinelli is going to start getting romantic advice from Coleman.
Lulu: There's a scary thought.
Maxie: That's the thing that I love most about Spinelli, you know? He's not like other guys. He's sweet and caring. He actually still believes in true love, like what you and Johnny have. I mean, if Spinelli was going to go to anyone for advice, that's who it should be.
Lulu: When did you become a fan of Johnny's?
Maxie: I don't have to like the guy personally to know that he's crazy in love with you. He defied his mobster father, gave up all that money and power just to start a life with you. It'd be crazy to not want a guy like that. Unless...
Lulu: Unless what?
Maxie: Well, please don't take this the wrong way, but are you really in love with Johnny or do you just think you need to be?
Carly: Okay, tonight's really important. I want to hook as many benefactors as possible. The bigger endowment I get for the fund in Michael’s name, the more kids we can help.
Jason: Yeah, that's good. That's a good goal.
Carly: But you're thinking that's not my only goal? I'm trying to bargain with God. I'm trying to get a miracle for Michael.
Jason: I think that you're the most determined woman I've ever met, and once you put your mind to something you make it happen, no matter what it takes.
Carly: I could name you a dozen times that I should have wound up dead, but I didn't and I believe there's a reason for that. There is a reason why I should be here, and that's to fight this battle for my son.
Claudia: My earring. I can't find it upstairs. I thought maybe I dropped it down here somewhere.
Sonny: Ask the housekeeper.
Claudia: Yeah, I was going to.
Claudia: So, how is it going with damage control, by the way?
Sonny: Damage control what?
Claudia: My father, the way he acted the other night when he was here. He's not going to show you how truly pissed he is about you getting Johnny out.
Sonny: He'll get over it.
Claudia: He doesn't get over things anymore than you do, Sonny. Just think about the lengths you went to get back at the Russians for shooting Kate, taking over my family business, marrying me. We both know you're not going to give all that up for Johnny. You need to make nice with my father, and that's going to require a monumental concession like getting rid of Jason.
Patrick: You know, don't get me wrong. Robin's doing better. She's doing a lot better. Not long ago, she would have bit my head off for coming home twice in one day. She would have accused me of checking up on her and that I didn't trust her being alone with Emma.
Elizabeth: It sounds like she's turned a corner.
Patrick: Yeah, actually, I have Matt to thank for that. He came over yesterday, and he was throwing some lame pickup lines at Maxie, and Robin and I actually thought it was hilarious. You know, come to think of it, I haven't seen her smile like that in a while. Anyways, by the time I left, we were in a good place.
Elizabeth: Well, I'm glad to hear that.
Patrick: Yeah. You know, I don't know, maybe I have been too hard on her. Maybe this is all just normal reaction. You know, having the baby and moving, those are two of the biggest things you can do in your life, and she's doing them right on top of each other.
Elizabeth: Along with the life and death decisions that come along with her job.
Patrick: Yes, but it's still no excuse for the way she was talking to you.
Elizabeth: That's okay. It was the stress talking. I'm not going to take it personally. That's what I learned when Lucky was going through his addiction. He would say things to hurt me, and I realized that it wasn't really about me. It was about him and the pain he was going through. So, you know, any time you need anything, just don't hesitate to ask. I mean it.
Patrick: Okay, thank you.
Elizabeth: Sure. Lucky.
Lucky: How would you feel about getting out of here?
Carly: I know you don't want me to get my hopes up. I can tell.
Jason: I just want you to be realistic. That's all.
Carly: Have you ever heard of Lorenzo Odone? At six years old, he was diagnosed with a genetic disease, Ald. The doctors gave him less than two years to live, but his parents refused to give up on him and they set out to find a cure.
Jason: Okay, and?
Carly: I'm not saying I'm going to find the cure for Michael, but I can raise the money to finance the people who can.
Jason: You can, you can. But how many other parents chased that happy ending and didn't get it?
Carly: So, I sit around and do nothing? You of all people are going to tell me what? To just give up after everything that you went through? And you know what? If Michael comes back a little different, I don't care. He'll have some kind of life back.
Jason: That's what we all want.
Carly: God, you don't get it. You know, when I go there and I visit Michael and I see him lying in that bed, it's like he's just suspended and he's waiting. And I just want to stop that waiting.
Jason: Look, I'm not -- oh, man, I'm not trying to tell you to give up hope. I would never tell you to give up on Michael, ever.
Carly: I try not to get stuck, you know? I do, and I have gone on with my life. But tonight isn't about me. It's about Michael, and is it wrong to want to do something good in his name? To set up a charity that is going to give other people hope, and it's going to help them. And you know what? If Michael wakes up, well, that's all the better.
Sonny: Why are you pushing so hard for me to take out Jason?
Claudia: Because every time I bring it up, you shut me down or you walk away.
Sonny: But you keep coming back to it, why?
Claudia: Yeah, because I don't think you have the resolve to take Jason out.
Sonny: No, I think that your head's getting big because I don't kick you out of here every time your father comes in here and wants to do business with me.
Claudia: Sonny, it's a matter of survival.
Sonny: You don't get an opinion, Claudia.
Claudia: Hey, it's not just yours. It's mine and my brother's survival here. There are a whole lot of people heavily invested in this deal. My father turned over our entire family business to you.
Sonny: Not completely. He said he was ready to make his own moves.
Claudia: Yeah, right, well, that worries me, Sonny.
Sonny: Well, he should be worried.
Claudia: He's not.
Sonny: Hey, he's got to watch his back.
Claudia: He's not losing any sleep over it. He didn't throw in with you, and he didn't me throw at you so that he'd get no return on his investment, did he?
Sonny: Believe me; I know what I'm doing.
Claudia: Do you? Because not from where I'm standing. You were the one who was willing to make all the tough choices. That's why I agreed to this loveless, sexless marriage in the first place.
Sonny: For the power.
Claudia: The power, because God knows I'm getting nothing else out of it. If you don't have the stomach for this, you better walk away now, because once my father smells fear, he gets even more dangerous.
Johnny: Are you sure you want to do this, Dad, in public, in front of witnesses?
Anthony: I want you to come home. Is that so wrong?
Ric: Your father is concerned, John.
Johnny: And he should be concerned. Let's talk about all the laws both of you broke trying to force me to come back.
Sam: I will let you deal with your personal business, Mr. Zacchara. You've got my number.
Anthony: You were rude with strangers. That disappoints me.
Johnny: You framed me for assault and threatened to throw me in prison. That disappoints me.
Anthony: I'm doing this for your own good. John, it pains me to go to these lengths, but I'm trying to keep you from hurting yourself even worse.
Johnny: Oh, the spinmeister at work here.
Anthony: You're bringing this on yourself.
Johnny: I'm never coming back home. You got no power over me.
Anthony: Everything I'm building is for you.
Johnny: And you gave it all to Sonny and he's the one who set me free. You've got no hold on me anymore.
Anthony: John, the longer you defy me, the more people are going to get hurt. Eventually, it's going to be somebody you care about.
Lulu: You are in no position to be critiquing my relationship or anybody else's for that matter.
Maxie: Lulu, I am just asking. Your parents have this, like, legendary love and that's hard to live up to.
Lulu: I'm not trying to live up to anything.
Maxie: You went out and found this renegade mob guy who everybody thinks is bad news and is just like your father.
Lulu: There is no comparison.
Maxie: Even Luke sees Johnny as a younger version of himself. Have you ever even listened to him?
Lulu: My dad just understands what it's like to --
Maxie: To be a rebel?
Lulu: No, to feel like you always have to prove something.
Maxie: Yeah, like it's the two of you against the rest of the world. Always on the run together, living out these big romantic adventures. Is any of this ringing a bell?
Lulu: I fell in love.
Maxie: Or you fell in love with the idea of what you think love is supposed to look like.
Lulu: I'm sorry, why are you talking about this?
Maxie: I'm just trying to have a conversation with you.
Lulu: What is the sudden interest in this subject?
Maxie: Maybe it's because Johnny's living with us now and I get to see it all the time.
Lulu: Maybe it's because you need to get a life.
Maxie: Hey, if you love Johnny, great. I just think that you should be honest with yourself and fair to him.
Lulu: Well, you are one to talk about being fair to a guy.
Maxie: And what is that supposed to mean?
Lulu: Really? Really? The guy who would do anything for you, who is always around you no matter what.
Maxie: Spinelli is my friend. You and Johnny, you're in a relationship and he thinks you are the love of his life. He turned his back on his family, his money, the security. He gave up everything he has for you, Lulu, and if this is you just living out your parent's legend, Johnny deserves better. And eventually, he's going to figure that out for himself.
Lucky: So, the show has been sold out for weeks. One of the guys at the station, he's got four tickets, but something came up and he's trying to sell them. And I just -- how would you like to take the boys to see it?
Elizabeth: Oh, my God, they would love it.
Lucky: I know.
Elizabeth: But I have to work.
Lucky: But it's Disney on Ice. Every time this commercial comes on, the boys go crazy.
Elizabeth: I know, I know, I know, I know. Let me see if I can get someone to sub for me, and I'll let you know.
Patrick: Elizabeth, can you file the Josko chart, please?
Elizabeth: Yeah. Do you even know if there's going to be show tonight? I mean, they are saying that this is the worst blizzard in years.
Lucky: I know, but it's not supposed to hit until tomorrow night, maybe even first thing tomorrow morning. This blizzard of the century I think is a bunch of hype for TV ratings. So, I called to confirm, and the show is definitely going to happen.
Elizabeth: This is really sweet of you.
Lucky: Well, I know you like figure skating, and well, it's the least I can do after kicking your butt on Cameron’s video game and --
Elizabeth: Oh, my God, you still haven't realized that I let you win?
Lucky: Best two out of three, any time.
Elizabeth: I just felt so bad for you because you made such a mess of your taxes.
Jason: The last thing I'd ever try to do is stop you from making something good come out of what happened to Michael. I just don't want to see you set yourself up to break your own heart, Carly.
Carly: I'm clear about Michael’s condition. I know the chances are slim that he's ever going to wake up, and I will never give up hope. I can't.
Jason: And I would never expect you to. Okay, so, I mean, do you want me at this benefit tonight or what?
Carly: Yes, I do, but I know you hate these things. I know that small talk makes your skin crawl and your family is going to be there. I know how hard that is for you.
Jason: I would do anything for Michael.
Carly: I know you would. I love you for that, but I don't want to take advantage of our friendship that way. I'll find other ways to do that.
Carly: You can write me a big fat check, though.
Jason: Okay, consider it done.
Carly: And I realize that I shouldn't ask anything from you after you sacrificed so much so I could keep my boys. You took over the business and you're at odds with Sonny because of me.
Jason: Yeah, but that was my call, not yours.
Carly: It will be really weird and hard tonight, you know, doing this with Sonny.
Jason: Just think about Michael, because, you know, tonight is about Michael.
Carly: I know. It's about Sonny and I working together for our son. Stop worrying about me. I'm going to be okay. Thank you. Thank you.
Jason: Yeah, is Patrick Drake in? I need to make an appointment to see him as soon as possible.
Ric: You know, Anthony, if I may, if you're trying to bring John back into the fold, threatening him might not be the wisest strategy at this point.
Anthony: I don't have time to coddle him. My plan is already in motion. I shot Kate, framed Karpov and lured Sonny onboard. I have fueled hostilities between Sonny and Jason. Once Sonny takes Jason out, I eliminate Sonny and the Zaccharas are the last one standing.
Ric: I agree that it is a smart move, but you may want to rethink as to why you are doing this. Look, it's clear that John doesn't want any of this inheritance that you are working so hard to secure for him by lying, cheating, and killing.
Anthony: I don't pay you to tell me how to handle my son. So far, my plan is working. Sonny has been co-opted and Jason is in the hostile position. All we do is keep ramping up the pressure on Sonny to eliminate the threat. So, don't question me. Just do it.
Claudia: That looked like fun.
Ric: Yeah. All in a days work, right?
Claudia: Just keep telling yourself that the man you're dealing with is completely irrational. Otherwise, you'll go crazy.
Ric: It's cold comfort.
Claudia: Why don't you let me give you some comfort of another kind?
Guard: Mr. Corinthos?
Sonny: Come in.
Sonny: Your sister's not here.
Johnny: Yeah. You know, my father went through a lot of trouble to have me framed for assault. He put me in a corner so I would have to turn to him for help. I came here to thank you in person for stepping in and getting the guy that I allegedly assaulted to recant his story.
Sonny: So, you're just here to thank me?
Johnny: And to figure out why you went through all the trouble.
Sonny: Look, after my son disappeared, I blamed you and I threw you in that room, beat you down and all that. It wasn't right.
Johnny: Well, it's done. It's over. Forget about it. My father is a different story, though. People don't cross him without paying some sort of price.
Sonny: You know, I keep hearing that.
Johnny: You know, when I was 16, I left home. I went to stay with my mother's cousin and his family. These were good people, people not at all affiliated with the mob. My father tracked me down and killed them all. Their only crime was putting a roof over my head and giving me some hot meals.
Sonny: This was before your dad was on meds, before they diagnosed him and all that?
Johnny: Yeah, there's no med on earth that can tame Anthony Zacchara.
Sonny: Why do you seem a little proud when you say that?
Johnny: I'm just saying, don't let the wheelchair fool you. Don't buy into this story that he's ready to retire and spend the rest of his life tending to the roses.
Sonny: I know your dad's planning to, you know, some kind of double-cross and he's going to pass it all down to you.
Johnny: I don't want it. I know what it takes to get to where you are. I've seen the cost.
Johnny: I don't want to be that guy.
Sonny: Well, you know what? I appreciate what you're trying to do, and it's tough and I hope you succeed.
Johnny: Thank you. I'd wish the same for you, but I don't think you want to succeed. I think you want to punish yourself for what happened to your son. All these choices you're making, taking over my family business, marrying my sister, a woman that you hate, is all because you blame yourself for what happened. In your line of work, Sonny, it's the kind of stuff that will get you killed.
Patrick: Hey, sweetheart, it's me, your loving husband. You're probably feeding Emma or changing her. Maybe you guys are both taking a nap, in which case I'm extremely jealous. Just wanted to let you know that I'm going to be out of here pretty soon, so I'm going to rush home and help you unpack the rest of those boxes, all right? So, I'll see you in a bit. I love you. Bye. Hey, what happened to Disney on Ice with Lucky and the boys?
Elizabeth: I really wanted to go, but the weather service is saying the blizzard is coming sooner than Lucky thinks. A lot of snow and high winds.
Patrick: There's always a fool out driving in it. I'm sure we'll have our share tonight.
Elizabeth: Yes, we will. Epiphany wants all hands on deck in the E.R.
Patrick: If you want to take off, I'll cover for you. Pretend you didn't see the memo.
Elizabeth: That's nice of you, and I did think about it. But then I figured it would be worse to get the boys' hopes up and then have to cancel. So, we'll just go another time.
Patrick: All right. Well, batten down the hatches, it's going to be a long night.
Maxie: I told Lulu, Kate. No, I don't know where she is, but as soon as I send this fax to Federico, I will call her. What took you so long? Kate has called 50 times. She wants those scarves taken to her house. Did you get all of them?
Johnny: Sorry, didn't get any scarves.
Maxie: Sorry, I thought you were Lulu.
Johnny: Which means she's not here?
Maxie: No, please tell me you came by to tell her the truth, that you're not really working at the hospital.
Johnny: Why do you care whether I tell her the truth or not?
Maxie: Because, Johnny, if you keep up this lie and it blows up in your face, which it eventually will, you'll feel guilty and beat yourself up because you let Lulu down. Why do you even want to deal with that?
Johnny: Is this your way of telling me that you're worried about me?
Lulu: Yes, Kate? No, Maxie didn't call me, but I'm on my way back to the office now.
Claudia: You deserve a medal for what you put up with everyday and more.
Ric: Yeah, why did we come here?
Claudia: So that I can show you my appreciation and give you some real comfort.
Ric: Oh, isn't that sweet. Right here in Sonny's house.
Claudia: And mine.
Ric: I know, I know, I know. Same house where your father just walked in on us shortly followed by your husband.
Claudia: I thought you liked to live dangerously.
Ric: Maybe I wanted to see how far you'd go.
Claudia: How about upstairs? Is that far enough for you?
Epiphany: Well, somebody's cheerful today.
Leyla: It shows, huh?
Epiphany: Written all over your face. And if I'd have to guess, I'd say it has something to do with a man.
Matt: So, Sonny Corinthos opened up this pediatric head trauma foundation. That puts a lot of pressure on you.
Patrick: How so?
Matt: He's going to be monitoring you like a hawk, watching where every cent of his start-up money is spent.
Patrick: I don't mind a little hovering. Sonny and Carly are trying to turn their son's tragedy into a positive, and I appreciate them asking me to be a part of it. If that includes a little handholding and explanations every once and a while, I can live with that.
Patrick: Thank you.
Matt: A little pompous maybe.
Patrick: Did that sound pompous to you, Nurse?
Elizabeth: The first rule of nursing, you never tell a doctor how he sounds.
Patrick: Wow, you're doubly insulting.
Elizabeth: Done with so much love.
Elizabeth: Now we have to go see Mr. Lange, because he was moved to the east wing last night.
Patrick: All right, let's do it.
Matt: I sure hope I'm in a position to help you.
Woman: That makes two of us.
[Knock at door]
Sam: Okay, I may have some good news. I approached Anthony Zacchara. I told him I was looking for a job piloting ships, and that I would be discreet. I have a good rep, and I think he's very interested in hiring me.
Jason: So, what's the good news?
Sam: Jason, this could be the in that we need.
Jason: You can't trust Anthony Zacchara. He might be setting you up.
Sam: Okay, he didn't hire me on the spot, but I know that he is interested.
Jason: Interested in why someone associated with me is coming to him looking for work.
Sam: Ah-ha, Ric did make that very point.
Jason: Ric was there?
Sam: Yes, he was. And he said that I was going to feed all kinds of information to you or Lucky.
Jason: That's perfect.
Sam: It was perfect, Jason. I couldn't have planned it better myself. Ric put all the suspicions that Anthony could possible have out on the table, and I shot them down.
Jason: Okay, what makes you think Anthony’s going to buy it?
Sam: Because Ric and I really do hate each other, and Anthony could see that. He knows it's true. He bought it.
Jason: Okay, what if you're wrong? What if this is a trap? Do you know how easy it would be for Anthony to make you disappear?
Sonny: I don't want to hear maybe, maybe not. I just want to hear that it's handled. Okay, I'm going to the benefit for Michael tonight. I don't want to be interrupted because of business. Just get it done.
Carly: That's why I'm here. I wanted to talk to you about the benefit.
Carly: I just came from Jason's.
Sonny: Carly, we've gone over this.
Carly: He's not going. You know, I told him I wasn't going to use our friendship to insist he put in an appearance.
Sonny: You need to know it's for the best.
Carly: It's not best for Michael. I mean, it's not. I mean, isn't that who this event is for? It's for Michael? Jason raised Michael as a baby. He loves him as much as we do. The more I thought about it, the more I feel like we should be able to put our differences aside and show up tonight for our son, the three of us.
Ric: Did you really miss me?
Ric: Or are you after something?
Matt: I suppose we should start with introductions. I'm Dr. Matt Hunter.
Rebecca: Rebecca Shaw.
Matt: Lovely. How can I help you?
Rebecca: Um, looking for administration.
Matt: That's terrific.
Rebecca: Excuse me?
Matt: I suppose that means you're going to be working here.
Rebecca: If I'm hired, yeah.
Matt: Yeah, well, what do you do?
Rebecca: X-ray tech.
Matt: X-ray tech. We definitely are in desperate need of x-ray technicians. Uh, do you need a reference?
Rebecca: You don't even know me.
Matt: I'm looking to rectify that.
Rebecca: Are you flirting with me, Dr. Hunter?
Matt: Call me inspired.
Rebecca: Well, before I lose my head and succumb, where is administration?
Matt: Administration, right. Down the hall, third door on the left.
Rebecca: All right, thanks.
Matt: You're welcome.
Rebecca: Nice to meet ya.
Matt: Yeah, I'll see you soon.
Patrick: Hey, I have a patient I want you to take a look at.
Patrick: Hey, is everything okay?
Matt: Yeah. No. Yes, some days I just love my job.
Patrick: Wow, I'm afraid to ask.
Matt: I just met a girl almost as beautiful as Elizabeth.
Epiphany: Who's that?
Leyla: You caught me.
Epiphany: Doing what, exactly? You don't have to tell me if you don't want to. That's fine.
Leyla: I do. It's just one thing I've learned around here is how much you hate it when we bring our personal lives to work.
Epiphany: Didn't I just ask?
Leyla: Yes, you did. What do you think?
Epiphany: Well, he looks kind of tall, dark, and handsome to me.
Leyla: It's my fiancé.
Epiphany: Girl, still waters do run deep. When did this happen?
Leyla: The engagement? Last night. A few months ago, I finally broke down, and I let my mother introduce me to one of her perfect Iranian professionals. Just to keep the peace, you know? Imagine my surprise when I finally came face to face with the man of my dreams. We've been together ever since. Now I know love at first sight really does exist.
Epiphany: Well, I'll give you this. You can definitely keep a secret. That's a rare talent around here.
Leyla: Yeah, I guess I just didn't want to jinx myself, you know? But now that we're getting married, I know nothing ever will.
Maxie: It would be a gross exaggeration to say that I worry about you. You seem capable of taking care of yourself.
Johnny: Yeah, except for the fact that I can't find a job.
Maxie: You don't have a lot of experience. And I'm sure it doesn't help that when people hear your last name, they want to slam the door in your face and run for the hills.
Johnny: Are you saying I shouldn't try?
Maxie: No, I'm saying you should take a break and stop tying yourself in knots. I'm sure it doesn't help that Lulu cast you in the Luke Spencer role in the drama of her life.
Johnny: I'm not following.
Maxie: Do yourself a favor. Get online, look at old newspaper articles. Do some research on the infamous love of Luke and Laura. Bad mob boy meets girl next door. Then mob boy tries to go straight.
Johnny: Where are you going with this?
Maxie: Forget I mentioned anything. It's you and Lulu against the world, so good luck to both of you. Anyway, I have work to do. You should get out of here.
Lulu: Hello? Sorry I'm late. Any calls from Johnny?
Maxie: No, he didn't call.
Sam: Okay, yeah, it's true. There's no guarantee that Anthony Zacchara won't turn on me and have me killed. But it's worth the risk, Jason. Okay, fine, I know you're not going to lie to me, so it's going to be a yes or a no. If the answer's no, and you think I'm going to be risking my neck for nothing, then I'll back off. But if the answer's yes, and you think I can help you get Spinelli out of this mess, I've got to do it. So, what's it going to be? Yes or no?
Sonny: Jason and I may be far apart on a lot of things, but we agree on one thing. We don't want you stuck in the middle. And I don't want to get upset because you're going to end up choosing him anyway. So, as far as the foundation for Michael, we're on the same side. We want you to succeed.
Carly: What would make it a success, Sonny? What Michael would want is for you and Jason to be friends again.
Sonny: You wouldn't be you if you didn't push, so --
Carly: Well, I'm working on that. How about you?
Sonny: It's just not that simple.
Carly: I didn't say it was simple. I know it's not simple, but come on.
Sonny: Jason and I are going to work things out or we're not. That has nothing to do with Michael. Now my feet are cold, my shoes are soaked, I got to go upstairs and get a pair of dry ones.
Carly: His feet.
