Johnny: Looks like this place hasn't been used in a while. It's the perfect place to hide out from any roving squad cars.
Lulu: Do you have a death wish? What were you thinking, hitting that cop? I hope it felt really good.
Johnny: Actually, it did.
Lulu: Great. Because you know what you accomplished? You put us right back were we started. Running from the law.
Trevor: I must admit there are intriguing elements about your proposal.
Carly: I was hoping you'd think so.
Trevor: So let's just say for the purposes of argument, I'll play along. What makes you think that your proposal will fall out as you predict? Kate Howard didn't rise out of obscurity to the top of the fashion world by being fatuous or gullible.
Carly: No, she did it by getting on her back for you. Kate has one major flaw. She's arrogant. And she's been underestimating me from day one. And that's a habit for her because she underestimated you, too. She blew you off, and she thought there'd be no consequences. I'm just saying it's time to change that. Let's mot make it so easy for her.
Trevor: Believe it or not, Carly, I don't get up in the night having obsessed about Kate Howard anymore. She is of little or no consequence in my life.
Carly: I don't believe that for one second. Why would you be sticking around Port Charles? It's a cute little town, but it's no Manhattan. So, you're not here for the location, and you're not here for your abiding love for Ric. You know, the son that you can't stand, who wormed his way into the Zacchara organization at Anthonyís right hand, all but eliminating your position. And then Sonny's married to Claudia. Well, that's just diminished it even more, if not, you know, getting rid of you all together. When Sonny took over, you should have seen the writing on the wall and bowed out gracefully. But you didn't, which tells me that you have ulterior motive for sticking around. See, I'm guessing it's Kate.
Trevor: I love it. You're like a dog with a bone. Now I find that very attractive. But tell me, just to assuage my curiosity, why is it that you are so intent on hurting Kate?
Carly: Because I think it's time that she gets exactly what she deserves. And I think you believe that, too. So work with me, and we can make that happen.
Sonny: What makes you think it's okay to interrupt a meeting and tell me when to end it?
Claudia: You've done everything you needed to tonight. You stepped up. You took the reins. Everyone knows who's in charge. It's time for you to pull back and let the lieutenants get used to the new order.
Sonny: When I want your advice, I will ask for it. And -- Ric, is there something interesting about my wife?
Johnny: That cop was a disgrace to his badge. One minute he was abusive and the next minute he couldn't bend over far enough because he found out I was a Zacchara. The last straw was when he started hurling insults at you.
Lulu: Who cares what some dirty cop, who we'll never see again, says about me?
Johnny: I do.
Lulu: Well, I care about you. And it concerns me how crazy you got, even after the cop had backed way off. You got even madder until you finally blew up and hit him in the face.
Johnny: Well, you know what? Do you know how many cops are on my father's payroll? How many innocent lives are at the non-existent mercy of my father because cops like that are paid to look the other way?
Lulu: If this is about you rebelling against your family, I have news for you. You accomplished exactly the opposite.
Johnny: What do you mean?
Lulu: What do I mean? As we speak, you and probably me are wanted for assaulting an officer. And the only way to get out of it is to use the Zacchara influence, so you're going to have to call Trevor and tell him exactly what happened.
Johnny: No, no, no. I am not calling Trevor or anybody else in my family and asking them for help ever again.
Edward: We should have left that door open. She is bound to come in here if she sees it closed.
Alice: Does it matter? We're not safe anywhere in this house.
Monica: It's true. The situation is just intolerable.
Alice: It's never been this bad. I just got done talking the gardener down from filing a lawsuit against us.
Edward: I saw it myself. Oh, ho. She tore into him like Sherman burning Atlanta. She has to be contained.
Monica: Well, you know what that means, don't you?
Edward: Oh, no, no, no. There must be some other way.
Monica: Okay. I'm open to suggestions.
Alice: Face it, Mr. Q., It's time to swallow your pride.
Edward: Now, look, there is no way in hell that I'm just going to take hat in hand and creep over to that reprobate and beg him to move back in here.
Tracy's voice: Do you really think you can avoid me?
Monica: I'm really open to suggestions.
Tracy: I've got a few bones to pick, and I am starting with you. Just because you are chief of staff, thanks to Daddy and me, does not mean you can go ahead and move my charity guild meeting.
Monica: First of all, I am completely qualified to be chief of staff, and I don't need you or Edward to put any pressure on it. And second of all, neurology needed the conference room.
Tracy: Fine. Don't let it happen again. If it does, you'll be answering phones in the nurses' station.
Tracy: Now you.
Edward: What did I do?
Tracy: If you hadn't been so busy meddling in E.L.Q. matters that no longer concern you, you would have caught Monicaís obvious power play, and you would have given me the heads up, but, no! So fine. Both of you, watch your backs. This is war.
Edward: But you --
Tracy: Don't speak.
Alice: I got off easy that time.
Alice: Yes, ma'am, Miss Tracy.
Tracy: Would you agree that we pay you a generous salary?
Alice: Oh, yes, Miss Tracy. Very generous. Thank you. Thank you.
Monica: Would it be generous enough for you to keep fresh ice in the bucket or would that require a raise?
Alice: I'll get some more, Tracy, right now. I'll go to the freezer. I'll go to the freezer. I'll get some --
Edward: Let's go now.
Alan: So far, life without Luke seems to be pretty bleak.
Tracy: There is no Luke. And I am finally facing up to it and moving on.
Alan: By making life miserable for everybody around you?
Tracy: You signing up?
Alan: Me? No, fortunately, I'm dead.
Tracy: Really? You couldn't tell by me.
Alan: Why don't you go to Luke, see if the two of you can work this out?
Alan: Or donít.
Ric: I meant no disrespect. I was just trying to gauge whether or not this meeting was going to continue. If so, I'd like to bring you up to speed as far as the year to date profits.
Sonny: Can you give us a minute, Ric?
Ric: No problem.
Sonny: I have people waiting.
Claudia: Fine. If you insist on continuing, let me sit in.
Claudia: Because nobody knows the Zacchara business better than I do. No one does. I can be helpful to you, Sonny. And I know my place. I won't speak out of turn. In fact, I won't speak. I'll just sit there and file away what needs to be corrected or looked at later. And I'll bring it up with you later.
Sonny: You're right. I'm sorry. I don't know what I was thinking. We'll go ahead and reconvene tomorrow morning, say around 9:00.
Man: Thank you.
Sonny: Uh, Ric, you didn't hear what I said?
Ric: Well, I though I'd stick around and brief you on the men you're going to meet tomorrow. Forewarned being forearmed and all that.
Sonny: Fascinating. Both of you tripping all over each other, trying to give me advice. Trying to convince me that you're solidly on team Corinthos. Why? Tell me why should I trust either of you?
Claudia: Well, I'm not going to speak for Ric, but I'm your wife. Our interests are joined in unholy matrimony. And that should be reason enough.
Edward: Ooh, Luke. Come in, come in. Thank you for coming so quickly.
Luke: Why am I sneaking in?
Edward: Well, you see, you're a surprise. Monica and Alice and I have given this matter very serious consideration. And in spite of my grievous apprehension, we have decided to invite you to move back in.
Luke: Well, that's very generous.
Edward: Mm, mm.
Luke: Cynical me. I smell a rat.
Edward: Well, of course, there will be some limitations to your behavior.
Luke: Well, pal, I don't do limitations.
Edward: Get back here, you two-bit freeloader. You don't fool me. You can hardly wait to park your butt on my favorite chair there and have Alice wait on you hand and foot.
Luke: Well, apparently, you can hardly wait for me to park my butt on your favorite chair. Why?
Edward: It's Tracy. She is making our lives hell. You see, my daughter is a horrible, wretched woman, even on of her rare good days. And losing you has ratcheted this whole thing up to a much higher level. So, you see, if you do choose to come back to us, you may sit in my best chair. You can certainly drink my finest scotch. And you can have your pick of the lobsters. And I personally will light my cigar for you to smoke. I'll even rub your shoulders if you're tired.
Luke: You keep your mitts off me and you've got a deal.
Edward: Oh, thank you. Thank you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. How soon can you move back?
Luke: Oh, my bag is in the car. Spanky.
Tracy: Get him out of here before I have him arrested.
Johnny: Look, I'm the only fugitive here. You are under no obligation to stay.
Lulu: Don't be ridiculous. I love you. If you're on the run, I'm on the run. Anyway, it'll be a lot more fun than going to Europe because I am not cracking up yet.
Johnny: Well, maybe it's my turn. It was stupid and reckless for me to goad the cop the way I did,
Lulu: Well, he was a jerk for trying hassle people.
Johnny: You were just jumping down my throat for punching the guy out.
Lulu: Yes. I am not saying he didn't deserve it. It's not the punch that was the problem. It's the reason behind it. You would have walked away if that cop hadn't cowered at the mention of the Zacchara name, but that's what blew your head off.
Johnny: Welcome to my life. And I'm sick of it. I want to get away from that fear and loathing that sets in every time somebody finds out who I am. You want to know the irony of the situation is that the blood that flows through me, this Zacchara blood that I hate so much, is exactly what made me lash out and hit the guy and sabotage our escape.
Lulu: Maybe it's fixable.
Sonny: We agreed to make the marriage work if we have mutual respect.
Claudia: Right, the million dollar word being "mutual," Sonny. A great place for you to meet me halfway would be respecting my opinion and the contributions I can actually make instead of just dismissing me out of hand.
Sonny: You know what? If I gave you that impression, then I apologize because it wasn't my intention to dismiss you. It's just I'm a man of -- you know, that doesn't like to share his power with anyone, not even with Jason. That's not going to change. You know, hey. Don't get defensive, but it has nothing to do with you being woman or whether I doubt your abilities because I know that you're well-versed in your family's business dealings and all that, right?
Sonny: But my deal with your father was that I'd run the organization as I see fit. No input.
Ric: In other words, you just got shut out. Don't take any offense at it, Claudia. Sonny does it with everybody.
Edward: Well, I'll leave you two to work things out among yourselves. And use your time wisely, huh?
Tracy: Pay no attention to my father. He's senile. In fact, I'm thinking of having him committed. I don't want you back. I don't miss you. In fact, for the first time since you cursed my life, I feel a wonderful sense of control. It's very empowering. I like it. A lot more than I like you.
Luke: If you're so on top of the world, why are you making life such a bitter pill for your family? Look, Tracy, I know you're pissed at me. Maybe I deserve it. And maybe I donít. But the point is, bring your anger to the source. Yell at me. Smack me over the head with a Ming vase. Do whatever the hell it is that you need to do so that we can get over this and get back to being us.
Tracy: There's no "us." There's you, who married me for my money. And then there's me. The delusional one who thinks you actually cared about me.
Luke: Care about you? No. Tracy, I love you.
Tracy: Luke, I'm the back-up wife. A position, I might add, that I am resigning. Get out!
Alice: Mr. Luke. Mr. Luke, don't give up. You belong here with me, with all of us.
Edward: I second that. I second that for the moment.
Monica: Whatever Tracy says is irrelevant because this happens to be my house.
Tracy: Yes! Because my brother gave it to you.
Monica: And you can stay here as long as you like.
Luke: Thank you, Dr. Quartermaine.
Monica: You're welcome.
Alice: How about a cocktail? Can I get you one?
Luke: Well, you know, I wouldn't mind a nice, big glass of Edwardís private reserve.
Alice: Good idea. Right away.
Luke: So, wife, this could actually work for you, you know. I mean, if absence makes the heart grow fonder, misery loves company.
Johnny: I don't know. It works for me, but what about you? You're going to miss your father and your brothers. What if your mother comes back?
Lulu: I've got to break something down for you, okay? Parents have kids. The kids grow up. They find love of their own. And sometimes the love takes them to far off places. And then they have this thing called visiting.
Johnny: Okay, I get it.
Lulu: Well, then get it loud and clear and understand that my place is with you.
Spinelli: Greetings, couple of ever-escalating drama. Maximista and I are here at your service.
Maxie: Speak for yourself. I'm not a willing participant.
Lulu: What's the problem?
Maxie: Don't you think you're being a little melodramatic? I mean, yes, Johnny hit a cop, but it's not like he killed anyone. Is it necessary for you guys to leave town?
Lulu: It is or else we wouldn't have called you.
Maxie: Haven't I done enough for you this year?
Lulu: If you really felt that way, why didn't you say no on the phone?
Maxie: Because Spinelli is making me a much nicer person. And now my first instinct is to help others, regardless of my reservations or concern for my own self-preservation.
Spinelli: Good. Then let's just go with that first instinct and lend assistance to our dear friends. So, if you are intending to go on the lam, as it were, a safe assumption might be that you need some supplies. Maybe some cyber assistance.
Lulu: Yeah. Well, food and water. I was kind of hoping that you could get us some clothes.
Maxie: That's a really good way to attract attention to yourself, running from the law in the latest designer wear.
Lulu: I was thinking something a little more down-scale.
Maxie: What -- you want me to go into one of those mega-stores to buy you some clothes?
Lulu: It'll broaden your horizons.
Johnny: Okay. Look, where your skills are going to come in, we need some fake ids and car registration.
Maxie: Hold on. Okay, this is starting to sound like a really bad idea. Do you remember the last time we tried to help Lulu flee from the law? She went crazy.
Spinelli: Yeah, but the original blonde one's psyche is much stronger now. And if she does want to stand by her man, as the empress Wynette decreed, it is our duty as her closest friends to help her facilitate that.
Lulu: Hey, Maxie, there's also, you know, the bonus that you get to have Kate and "Crimson" all to yourself.
Maxie: Been there. Doing that. And it's not all that it's cracked up to be.
Lulu: You don't like your job anymore?
Maxie: Don't be an idiot. I love my job. But part of the fun was bossing you around. And I kind of miss you when you're not there. But this isn't about me, right? So this is what you and Johnny need to do then Spinelli and I will make it happen.
Carly: Hi. I'm so sorry to keep you waiting.
Nikolas: That's all right I'm kind of getting used to it. What's your emergency?
Carly: No emergency, more like a wake-up call. No more miss nice guy. No more bending over backwards to make things work with Jax, you know? I'm done. I'm done.
Nikolas: Well, that's certainly a change in attitude. I'm glad you're finally seeing Jax as he is.
Carly: You know what? It's not like I haven't been cheated on before, but at least that was situational. This was deliberate, and it was cynical. And he's not even attracted to her. I mean, he cannot possibly be attracted to her.
Nikolas: I'm sorry. You lost me somewhere. Right around "situational."
Carly: Jax slept with Kate Howard. And, you my friend, are going to help me make sure they both pay.
Sonny: You have a point, Ric. You know, maybe it's because I was an only child. And I was never taught to share with others. I never really played well with others. And it stuck. And, unfortunately for you, I now run the entire Zacchara organization, so you have to follow my orders. Now, if that's difficult for you, if you are going to be bringing up your brother's issues into the business, then you can hit the road, jack.
Ric: No. That won't be necessary, Sonny.
Claudia: So what about me? I mean, to what extent am I supposed to play the submissive mob wife? Am I supposed to not ask questions?
Sonny: Oh, no, you can ask. I just may not answer. It depends how I feel. So, anyway, since we are on the subject, two things that are non-negotiable. You never undermine me. And you never make decisions in my name. And that goes for you, too, brother. Are we clear?
Sonny: Great. Great. Excuse me.
Claudia: Where are you going?
Sonny: Where am I going? I am going to Kateís.
Claudia: Am I supposed to be okay with that?
Sonny: Okay. I didn't think I'd have to spell this out, but I'm going to do it anyway. You and I are married for business reasons. You know what that means? That means we get to do whatever the hell we want to do in our personal lives. Got it? Great.
Carly: You know Diane Miller?
Nikolas: Diane Miller, the lady mouthpiece for the mob. Yes, I do.
Carly: Don't knock her. She's a great lawyer. And she's representing me in my divorce. Maybe she can use the settlement to tie up Jaxís development plans for Spoon Island.
Nikolas: And how's that?
Carly: Technically, Jax and I were still married when he swindled the ground out from underneath you. Maybe I can stop the progress.
Nikolas: Look, although I appreciate any strategy that might keep Jax from building spas and golf courses or whatever else on my moors, any businessman worth his salt knows not to place his interests in the middle of a squabbling couple.
Carly: Nikolas, that didn't seem to bother you when you wanted 25 percent of the Metro Court.
Nikolas: No, no, no -- see that, see that was different.
Nikolas: Because you and Jax were relatively friendly then. The dynamic has changed. You're out for blood now.
Carly: Yeah, I am. And I'm going to get it from both Jax and Kate.
Ric: Well, alone at last.
Claudia: Mm-hmm. I canít. I can't make out with you here.
Claudia: This is my house with Sonny now.
Ric: Oh, really, so? Sonny basically came right out and said he has no problem with our relationship.
Claudia: That's not what I heard.
Ric: Oh, really, what did you hear?
Claudia: I heard -- I heard that he doesn't trust either one of us, and you're on very thin ice. So continuing this relationship right now would be a very risky proposition indeed.
Ric: I don't think Sonny cares what we do as long as we don't embarrass him.
Claudia: I don't agree. I really donít.
Ric: Is that wishful thinking?
Claudia: What does that mean?
Ric: I don't know. Maybe you have got some sort of wacky idea in your head that just because you got a ring on your finger this is some sort of a real relationship. Don't set yourself up for a fall, Claudia. My brother only falls in love with women who have the potential to save him. And, no offense, that's not you.
Kate: We can't keep doing this. There's nothing more to say.
Sonny: Okay, you don't have anything to say, but I have something to say. Can I come in? I'll make it quick.
Sonny: Can you look at me at least? I want to apologize for all the times that I hurt you, for putting you in the line of fire, for not being 100 percent honest with you about getting there. I regret that we didn't get married. And I take sole responsibility for why we didnít.
Kate: Okay, so, what's the point?
Sonny: What's the point? The point is that I made a lot of mistakes. Because I don't know how to be other than what I am does not mean that I didn't love you, and it doesn't mean that I don't love you.
Kate: But what you're really saying is that everyone has been right all along. Because I don't think you really do love me. I think you love the idea of me.
Lulu: Maxie and Spinelli should be back by now.
Johnny: It hasn't been that long. Man, too bad this place is closed down. Looks like one of those good places you can rent out by the day.
Lulu: Is that something you would be interested in?
Johnny: That sounds like heaven. I could use a dedicated place to work on my cars and --
Lulu: Whoa, did you just say work on your cars?
Lulu: I'm sorry. Well, I just thought you only knew how to change the oil and make them look all shiny.
Johnny: Well, I will have you know I am great with all my cars. I do all my own repairs.
Lulu: Really? Wow, that is impressive. Well, but, you know, I bet you don't know how to hotwire one.
Johnny: Are you serious?
Johnny: After all the talks we've had. Everything you know about me, you honestly think I don't know how to hotwire a car? Okay, you're right. I donít. But I've seen it done on TV.
Lulu: Oh, that helps. Well, then it's a good thing that I'm here, because my father made sure I knew how to hotwire a car before I left the fourth grade.
Johnny: Wow. Hey, you don't have to go through with this. Seriously, I hate the idea of you missing your family and the people that you love because I lost my temper.
Lulu: We've already agreed. We're in this together.
Nikolas: Sorry about that.
Carly: No, I'm the one who should apologize. You getting that call gave me a chance to take a step back. You know, I've been overly emotional and unprofessional. I have no reason bringing you into my personal affairs.
Nikolas: No harm done.
Carly: But you know what? In my defense, I've been completely blind sided. I have. I can't believe Jax hurt me like this. I guess I just -- I guess I just pushed him too far.
Nikolas: I had the same kind of feelings when Emily and I were divorced. Just dwelling on them is completely unproductive.
Carly: But Jax isn't completely innocent on this. Kate has been throwing herself at him for months, just to get back at me. And he knew it. And he went on and on and on about how he wasn't attracted to her. So, the only reason he did this was to get back at me. So, as far as I'm concerned, he deserves exactly what he gets.
Nikolas: Carly, I'm not trying to defend Jax, but it's clear that underneath all that anger you have, you still love him. So I'm warning you. You better be absolutely sure how far you want to take this revenge.
Claudia: Sorry, I must have missed the day when you became an expert on all things Sonny Corinthos. Last I checked, your brother couldn't stand you. Never could. And certainly he doesn't trust you.
Ric: Well, I don't have to be Sonny's best friend to figure out what drives the man. I mean, he's not even subtle. My brother goes full out for everything that he can't have -- in work, with women, and in life. Sonny's a walking disaster, Claudia. And the farther you can stay away from him, emotionally speaking, the better.
Claudia: Oh, are you afraid that I'm going to fall in love with Sonny? Is that what this is about? Because I don't do love.
Ric: Yeah, but Sonny does. I mean, for all the man's faults, he -- he still believes that love is -- well, not only possible, but redemptive. I mean, it's going to save him one day. Some angel is going to whisk him off -- take him out of the darkness. That can't be you, Claudia, okay? You don't fit the profile. You know, you're not Kate. You're not Emily. And you're not the sainted Lily. And you don't even believe in love as a concept, much less salvation, right?
Claudia: That's not true.
Claudia: I believe that love is the most destructive force known to man. I believe that love takes otherwise rational people and makes them insane. I believe that love is an illusion ultimately. What you really fall in love with is your own reflection in somebody else's eyes. It's a lie, and it's just a big cosmic joke.
Ric: Well, hearing you say that makes me -- makes me even sadder for you than I would be for Sonny. Good night, Mrs. Corinthos.
Sonny: Why would you even say something like that? I know you're hurt. That's why you're saying these things. But you know what? Don't negate what we had -- what I felt, what I feel now.
Kate: That wasn't real.
Sonny: Ha! What --
Kate: That's what I have to face now, right? Maybe you should, too.
Sonny: Why would you say that? You were there. All the love we had years ago came back. It was strong. It was better than ever. You can't just wish it away because things aren't working out right now.
Kate: Sonny, what we had were complimentary fantasies, right? You needed to put me up on a pedestal.
Sonny: That's not true.
Kate: Well, I liked it. I really, really liked it. I liked thinking that I was the one woman who really understood you. The one woman who could take away all of your pain and give you a happily ever after.
Sonny: You did that, so why are we even having this conversation?
Kate: I did, really? Is that what you told Lily?
Sonny: Oh, please.
Kate: Is that what you told Emily? You know what? Sonny, I think I'm okay with moving on. I think I'd like to offer you some advice. I think that you shouldn't go there anymore. It's a doomed strategy to failure, because no woman can change you. That is up to you. And you just admitted that you can't even do that. So, you know what? Maybe you shouldnít. I don't know. Maybe you shouldnít. I mean, after all, you thrive in your world. It's when you leave that everything falls apart.
Sonny: You think I want to do this? You think I want to marry Claudia -- cozy up to Anthony? You think I don't want to be with you, loving you? Whether you think it or not, I'm doing this for you. There are a lot of dangerous people I'm dealing with, and nobody is safe around here. Now whether you think it's warped or not, I am going to find out who is responsible for shooting you.
Kate: Don't do that.
Sonny: So we don't have to go through this again.
Kate: Do not blame me.
Sonny: What do you want me to do?
Kate: Do not use me as an excuse. I begged you not to do this. You are not back in the mob because you love me. You are back because you love it. I don't understand why after everything that we've been through that you just can't figure that out, Sonny. Why don't you just own it? Own it.
Alice: Now you let those toes dry, Mr. Luke, before putting a slipper back on.
Edward: You know, it's amazing. Those slippers look exactly like mine.
Alice: Oh, well, I knew you wouldn't mind, Mr. Q.
Luke: If you do mind, Edward, I can rejoin my slippers. They're in my dank, tiny, little cabin over at the Haunted Star.
Edward: Oh, no, I wouldn't hear of it. Anything that we can do for a man who brought peace and quiet back into this house is a small price to pay.
Monica: Yes, have you thought about what you'd like for dinner, Luke?
Luke: Did someone mention lobster?
Edward: Wh -- lobster it is. Uh oh, who's going to tell Cook?
Alice: Oh, I'll go into that lion's den for Mr. Luke.
Luke: Thank you, Miss Alice.
Alice: You're welcome.
Luke: Oh, wife, how does lobster for dinner sound?
Tracy: I don't have time.
Luke: You going somewhere?
Tracy: Oh, you bet your sweet coddled ass I am. Hi, Tracy Quartermaine. Yeah, could you prepare the company jet please? I'm flying to the Dominican Republic tonight. That's right. I'm getting a divorce.
Maxie: Here, and there's a bag with food and soda in my car.
Lulu: Oh, thank you so much, Maxie.
Maxie: Why are you hugging me?
Lulu: I don't know. Sorry.
Spinelli: The Jackal brings tidings of joy.
Maxie: It's a little early for Christmas wishes, Spinelli.
Lulu: Um, did you get the fake ids?
Spinelli: I am happy to report that they're no longer necessary.
Johnny: What does that mean?
Spinelli: Well, there's no need for you to take your romance on the road because the crime that would have warranted such an action -- namely the assault on a graft-taking police officer -- was never reported.
Maxie: Yay. You can stay.
Lulu: Oh, don't touch me.
Carly: You don't think less of me, but the course of action was set in motion the minute I walked in on Jax and Kate.
Nikolas: So the revenge is on?
Carly: Yeah. And I'm going to start with "Crimson." I want to dismantle that magazine piece by piece. I want to make Kate Howard the laughingstock of the fashion world. And Jax knows this. So the key here is patience. The attack has to be indirect.
Nikolas: So you're assuming that I'll go along with you.
Carly: I'm a believer in positive thinking.
Nikolas: I'm not sure how involved I want to be in the takedown of a fashion magazine.
Carly: Hey, look at it like appropriate payback. Jax basically raided your home, right?
Carly: Jax's only real homes are the businesses he runs. And here in Port Charles, that's the Metro Court and "crimson." You know, it's quite beautiful if you think about it.
[Cell phone rings]
Nikolas: Excuse me. Hello.
Nadine: Nikolas, it's Nadine.
Nikolas: Hey, how's the horse festival going?
Nadine: We're going to have to postpone the marriage. I'm not going to be back when I planned.
Nikolas: Are you all right?
Nadine: I don't think so.
Claudia: How was your visit with Kate?
Sonny: None of your business.
Claudia: I just think it's amusing that you spend your wedding night with the woman you didn't marry, but you're home. So I guess Kate wasn't in a very forgiving mood, huh?
Sonny: Maybe what I've done can't be forgiven.
Claudia: Maybe you don't need to be forgiven. Maybe you should just embrace your inner mobster. Be who you are and not give a damn about what anybody thinks about you.
Sonny: Yeah, that's a good plan, because, you know, holding on to your dreams, illusions -- it's just a waste of time.
Claudia: It's a painful realization, you know?
Claudia: Okay, anyway, good night.
