Elizabeth: Are you going to explain?

Sam: It's not what it looks like here.

Elizabeth: I'm speaking to Jason. You broke up with her over a year ago, and now she's in your house, cozying up next to the fire, while I'm barely allowed through the door because it's too dangerous? What is wrong with this picture?

Carly: Jax, I know you want to believe that your brother's alive, but a phone call with no one on the other end doesn't really prove anything.

Jax: Yeah, maybe it's just a feeling. Maybe I just don't want to believe that my brother is actually dead.

Carly: I'm so sorry.

Jax: Why, what do you care? You hated Jerry. You only put up with him because of me.

Carly: He was your brother and you loved him.

Jax: I was a fool about Jerry and about you.

Kate: Home sweet home.

Maxie: Oh, well, your cousin Olivia certainly is a slob.

Kate: Uh, yes, always been. Oh, did you get a hold of her and tell her that you were bringing me home?

Maxie: Yes, I did, but she was already at the hospital, and she sounded kind of ticked. I hope she hasn't put some sort of Falconeri curse on me.

Kate: Uh, Maxie, I'm not descended from gypsies, just a regular Italian family from Bensonhurst. Half of my house wouldn't have fit in this room.

Maxie: Um, it's kind of freezing in here. You want me to put on a fire for you?

Kate: Okay, Maxie, thank you.

Maxie: Patrick said you should rest and not work, so maybe you should just sit here.

Kate: I think you're getting bossier than me.

Maxie: Going to take that as a compliment.

Kate: Wow, the last time I was in this room I was on my way --

Maxie: To the church.

Kate: I was supposed to come back Mrs. Sonny Corinthos.

Sonny: What do you mean, I'll go last? Where am I going?

Sasha: They're going to wipe you out and make you watch.

Mike: Boy, you made fast work on that burger.

Morgan: Thanks, it was good.

Mike: Well, I'm glad you liked it. Now tell me, do you have any room for dessert?

Morgan: Can I?

Mercedes: One sugar cookie.

Mike: Oh, you know we don't call them that anymore. Since they're my grandson's favorite, they are now called Morgan cookies, and they're on the counter, champ. Does, uh -- does Morgan know his father was arrested for the Karpov shooting?

Mercedes: No.

Mike: Well, let's keep it that way. I mean, I'm sure Sonny will be released soon, and it will all blow over. I mean, not that Morgan gets to see his father anymore. That's the real shame.

Mercedes: Carly has custody of the boys. It's up to her to decide.

Mike: Sonny misses his son.

Mercedes: Morgan.

Mike: Okay? Did you like it?

Morgan: Yeah.

Mike: Well, good. You know something? I am glad you did, and I like your manners.

Mercedes: We'll take the cookie to go.

Mike: Okay. Bye-bye.

Lucky: So, here we are again. Mom -- she just wakes up, comes back to us, and now she's gone.

Nikolas: Yeah, well, she's in France and not Shadybrook. She's going to get well. And we had a chance to say goodbye to her. So I guess we should be thankful for small favors, right?

Lucky: Yeah. You know, there was one thing that she wanted from all of us, and that was to be honest. You know, there's something that I told her that I think I need to tell you, too. It's about Jake.

Nikolas: Okay, is he all right?

Lucky: Yeah, he's, uh -- he's healthy. He's happy. Elizabeth and I, we lied about something because we wanted to keep it that way.

Lucky: Jake isn't my biological son. He's Jasonís. I -- I didn't know for a long time, and neither did Jason.

Nikolas: And so -- and so what? Elizabeth kept it a secret from the both of you?

Lucky: She had her reasons. She doesn't want Jason's enemies to use Jake against him. She was worried that I might fall back into drugs if I knew the truth --

Nikolas: Lucky, I'm -- I'm so sorry. I mean, I can't even imagine how tough that must have been for you to find that out. I'm really sorry.

Lucky: It's -- it's okay. You know what? It took a while, but I love Jake as if he was my own.

Nikolas: Wow. That's -- that's generous of you to even say that.

Lucky: It kind of works out for everyone. I get to be a dad to two -- two great boys. And it protects Jake from Jason's life.

Elizabeth: I overheard Maxie telling Epiphany that Sam was here. I -- I honestly thought she was kidding and making it up --

Jason: This is -- this is not personal.

Sam: Jason's right. Look, I was investigating that counterfeit drug ring, and I got in way over my head --

Elizabeth: Is that why you've been too busy to see me? And why Lucky hasn't heard from you since he got back from L.A.?

Sam: Yes, he hasn't heard from me because I was kidnapped. I couldn't call him.

Jason: Jerry was planning to kill Sam to cover up his own disappearance.

Sam: Yes, he was working with Karpov to smuggle drugs, and I was investigating. And I was getting really close, and he knew it.

Elizabeth: So he kidnapped you?

Sam: Yeah, he did. And he tried to kill me. Twice, actually.

Jason: Jerry tried to ambush Sam, actually, with an explosion that almost killed both of us in the alley off of Third Street the night Robin had her baby.

Sam: And thank God that Jason was passing by when he did, because he saved me. And then I went home to my apartment, and guess who was there? Jerry, and he took me to this boat that he was using. And he had charges set on the boat -- the same ones that he did at the Metro Court. He was going to blow up the boat and make his getaway. My body would have been found floating in the water. But thank God Jason came, and he saved my life.

Carly: Can we put aside everything that's going on between us right now and just let me help you?

Jax: How? Now that Jerry's dead or he's vanished again -- either way he's been a party to kidnapping and drug smuggling and God knows what else.

Carly: I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I know how badly you wanted to believe in him.

Jax: Yeah, that seems to be my failing, huh? I gave Jerry the benefit of the doubt. I believed him when he said he wanted to turn his life around and get away from the violence. Offered him a partnership, a family, and he didn't want to take it. Does that sound familiar?

Carly: I didn't sleep with Sonny. I only said that so he would have an alibi.

Jax: I know that.

Carly: I don't agree with what Sonny did, and I don't condone it, Jax. But I couldn't let the father of my children go to prison. I just couldn't do that.

Jax: Yes, and that's exactly why we can never be together again. Because every time Sonny needs you, you're always there for him.

Sonny: Your boss stabbed me, put weights on my feet, and shoved me into the harbor. If someone didn't save me, I'd be dead.

Sasha: So, an eye for an eye.

Sonny: It was self-defense.

Sasha: One could say the same about Andrei. You went after him, so he had to defend himself.

Sonny: Karpov started this when he shot Kate.

Sasha: No, he didnít.

Sonny: Yes, he did.

Sasha: I know that for a fact. And I have no reason to lie. You know, this is a pity, really, because Andrei was willing to leave well enough alone. But his associates, they are not that forgiving.

Sonny: Anybody comes after me, I retaliate.

Sasha: Well, then you better prepare yourself, because they'll come at you when you least expect it. They'll hit and hit hard. You're about to suffer more than you ever dreamed possible. And when death finally comes, you will be begging for it.

Carly: Jax, we love each other, and that is worth fighting for.

Jax: Not if we don't have trust.

Carly: You can trust me. I will spend the rest of my life proving that to you.

Jax: And Sonny will always be in the picture.

Carly: I just gave him an alibi. It's not the end of the world. You're making it black or white.

Jax: It is that black and white to me. I want to be able to count on the woman that I'm married to. I -- I can't say that about you right now.

Carly: Okay, I was faced with a choice, okay? To let the father of my children go to prison or give him an alibi, and I just did what I thought was right --

Jax: The details don't matter, Carly. You helped Sonny get away with murder.

Carly: I didn't want to, okay? I -- I just -- I didn't know what else to do --

Jax: You didn't want to fail Sonny. And he knew that. That's why he came to you, out of all the people he could've come to for an alibi. He came to you.

Carly: No, he did it because I was with him the night before. That's why.

Jax: Stop explaining.

Carly: No, I need you to understand that I will never be with Sonny again -- ever.

Jax: Yes, you will. And I love you too much to be with you when that happens, okay?

Carly: Jax, you have to listen to me.

Jax: Carly, please, could you stop right now? Jerry -- Jerry might be dead. I don't even know. I just -- I can't -- I can't do this right now. I'm sorry.

Jax: I'm sorry.

Mike: Hey. Hey, you got released.

Sonny: No, no, no -- I got to -- don't do that.

Mike: You okay?

Sonny: Yeah, cops had no evidence.

Mike: Yeah, well, that never stopped them before. But I'm glad you got out so fast. Listen, um, you just missed Morgan and Mercedes.

Sonny: How's Morgan?

Mike: How is he? Oh, he's good. He's growing like a weed, Sonny. I got a minute alone with Mercedes, and I tried to float the idea about you getting to see Morgan --

Sonny: There's nothing that I'd love more than to see my son, but I just -- right now is no time to talk about custody.

Mike: Something happen?

Sonny: Yeah, listen, Karpov tried to kill me last night. He -- uh, Carly saved me. I retaliated, and I shot the bastard.

Mike: All right, well, I'll tell you, the world's a better place without that garbage.

Sonny: I needed an alibi, so I went to Carly, which is probably the last person I should've gone to.

Mike: Yeah, but you knew she'd lie for you, okay?

Sonny: But you know what she did? She told the cops what she thought they would believe, which is that we had sex all night.

Elizabeth: I'm glad that you're okay and that Jerry has been stopped, but I don't get it. I mean, this has been going on for so long. How come you just couldn't ask Lucky for help? And why didn't tell me that you were doing something that involved Sam?

Sam: No, no, no, no, no. Listen, this was a random chance that he happened to be passing by to save my life --

Elizabeth: What are you doing here now --

Sam: I was wet and freezing. I'm sorry. This place was a lot closer than mine. That's it. You know, uh, the two of you obviously have a lot to talk about, so me, I'm just going to hit the road.

Jason: You need some money for a cab?

Sam: No, I donít. But tell Spinelli I am borrowing his clothes.

Jason: We need to keep this quiet.

Elizabeth: You don't think I can do that?

Jason: I know you can do that. I'm just saying that --

Elizabeth: I know what you're saying. You're just saying that I'm not a part of all of this. And I can't help but wonder if I hadn't walked in when I did, would you have told me about rescuing Sam? Never mind. I shouldn't ask questions that I don't want answers to.

Jason: Elizabeth, nothing happened.

Elizabeth: It just bothers me that the two of you had this adventure together. And what bothers me even more is that you didn't trust me enough to tell me.

Nikolas: Hey.

Nadine: Hey, I was going to take a break as soon as I finish this chart. Maybe we could grab a cup of coffee or something?

Nikolas: Yeah, yeah, sure. I'd like that.

Nadine: It was great meeting your mother. I was a nervous wreck, but she's so friendly and nice, she put me right at ease.

Nikolas: She liked you, too -- a lot.

Nadine: Well, maybe we could all grab lunch or something sometime?

Nikolas: Yeah -- you know, I'm sure she would have enjoyed that except, unfortunately, she left for France to get treatment.

Nadine: Oh, I'm sorry. I mean, good for her I guess if she needs the treatment. But you barely got to spend any time with her.

Nikolas: I know. I know, I miss her already. Is Elizabeth around, by any chance?

Nadine: Uh, no, she already clocked out for the day.

Nikolas: Oh.

[Cell phone rings]

Nikolas: Oh, excuse me. So, how did it go with the I.N.S.? You -- you know what? I don't care about bureaucratic red tape. You're the best immigration lawyer in the state. You straighten it out. And I don't want to have to appear in front of the I.N.S. office if I don't have to. Yeah, okay. All right, get back to me. Thank you.

Nadine: The I.N.S.?

Nikolas: Yeah. Our, uh, window for having coffee might be a little tighter than I thought, unless you -- unless you want to meet me in Greece, because it looks like I could be deported.

Sam: Oh, Lucky.

Lucky: You didn't return my calls. I had no idea where you were --

Sam: What did you think? I -- I jumped bail and skipped town?

Jason: I don't tell you about my work because it's dangerous for you to know about my work.

Elizabeth: But not for Sam?

Jason: You are the mother of my child. I don't want anything happening to you because of me.

Elizabeth: So how am I supposed to feel when I walk into your house and see your ex-girlfriend curled up next to the fire and find out that you guys have been jumping off exploding ships --

Jason: I happened to save Sam just like I would save anybody else. I reacted. I didn't have time to think about the past I share with Sam.

Elizabeth: Speaking of the past, mine came up today. Lucky and I told Luke and Laura that you're Jakeís father.

Jason: Why -- why would you do that?

Elizabeth: Because Laura said the only thing she wanted from her children was the truth. And Lucky and I just thought we need to honor that. And then I started looking back at all the lies I've told, and I -- I don't know. I had this overwhelming sense of regret. I don't want to be that type of person. I want to live my life honestly, no matter what the consequences.

Jason: So, what -- what are you saying?

Elizabeth: I'm just saying that I love you, and that I need to feel it, and I need to express it, and sneaking away and seeing you just on the side is killing me. And I don't want to do this anymore.

Kate: No, you don't have to call every five minutes. Okay, sure, Chinese sounds great. Um, just some grilled vegetables. Olivia, I'm just not very hungry. Okay, I'll see you soon.

Maxie: This isn't some picture of you and a girl from boarding school in Vermont, is it? It's you and Olivia in Bensonhurst.

Kate: Yes.

Maxie: It's so weird to think of you growing up in Brooklyn. And Sonny, he was your high school boyfriend, right?

Kate: Uh, we were pretty serious for a while.

Maxie: Well, that's kind of romantic. High school love rekindles years later.

Kate: It doesn't feel so romantic anymore.

Maxie: Where is Sonny anyway? I'm surprised he wasn't here when we got here.

Kate: I don't know, Maxie. I don't know where he is.

Maxie: Oh, do you want me to leave you alone to --

[Doorbell chimes]

Maxie: Maybe that's him.

Jax: Hi, I heard Kate was released.

Kate: Oh, hi, Jax. You can come in.

Jax: Hi. How are you doing? Uh, I need to talk to Kate in private, if that's okay?

Kate: Yeah, that's fine. Maxie, you can go back to the office.

Maxie: Okay, call me if you need anything.

Kate: Thank you, Maxie.

Maxie: Bye.

Jax: Bye.

Kate: You look serious.

Jax: Have you heard from Sonny?

Kate: No.

Jax: Well, he was released, thanks to Carly. You're going to love their alibi.

Kate: Carly gave Sonny an alibi?

Jax: The night Karpov was murdered, the police found Sonny at Carly's house. At first, she didn't want to give a statement, but a few hours ago she went down to the Port Charles police department and stated that she and Sonny were having sex all night long. So I thought you should know.

Kate: Right. That's a lie, Jax. It's a lie. Why would Sonny go to Carly?

Jax: Because he knew that she would back him up. And whether they had sex or not is not even the issue. Kate, they're bonded in a way that we can never change.

Kate: So you're going to give up on her?

Jax: Yeah. You should do the same with Sonny.

Mike: Carly lied to save you from a murder rap. You got to make it clear to Kate that you -- that you're not starting up with Carly again. Tell me you're not, right?

Sonny: No, come on.

Mike: Hey, hey.

Carly: Hey.

Sonny: Hey.

Carly: Uh, Mercedes called me and told me that she was here with Morgan, eating dinner?

Mike: Yeah, yeah, they were. They left quite a while ago.

Carly: Oh. I'll catch up with them at home. Thanks.

Mike: All right, see you.

Sonny: Carly, wait. Carly, wait.

Carly: What?

Sonny: I just want to get --

Carly: Are the police giving you a hard time for the alibi? Is that the problem?

Sonny: No, no -- I just -- I just, you know, I want to thank you again for what you did. And just stay away from me from now on.

Carly: Stay away from you?

Sonny: Yeah, yes, stay away from me.

Carly: You came to me. You shot Karpov and marched yourself back to my door and practically forced me to give you an alibi.

Sonny: I appreciated your help.

Carly: But don't get any ideas, right? Is that it? Because there's no way you and I are ever going to be together again, because it's Kate -- you love Kate, it's all about Kate? I get it. You made that clear at the PCPD, okay? But the thing you're missing? I don't want you. I want Jax. But because of my stupid loyalty to you, my marriage is up in smoke now, Sonny.

Sonny: You're hurting, and that's --

Carly: Yeah, what gave you that idea?

Sonny: You're going to do what you always do, which is you're going to find a way to fill the void, someone familiar. And you know, I don't want to be pulled back into that. That's all I'm saying.

Carly: I would rather crawl on broken glass.

Sonny: Good, because I don't want to hurt you even worse.

Carly: Wow. Stop being so condescending to me.

Sonny: We're done.

Carly: Yeah.

Sonny: And we're not going back. That's all I'm saying.

Carly: You know what? I wouldn't touch you with a ten-foot pole. But when you get in trouble again, and you come to me -- because you always do -- I will throw this up in your face.

Sonny: Okay.

Carly: And then I will tell you exactly where you can shove it.

Nadine: Deported? That's awful.

Nikolas: Yes. It's more of an annoyance than anything.

Nadine: An annoyance to be forced to leave the country?

Nikolas: Yeah. My lawyers, they're working on it. It'll be fine.

Nadine: I guess I had no idea that you weren't born here. I mean, I know you always talk about Greece, but I figured your family just owned an island or two or 10.

Nikolas: Well, the Cassadines, we were Russian aristocrats. We moved to Greece during the revolution and just ended up staying there. Actually I didn't move to this country until I was 16.

Nadine: Hmm.

Nikolas: Technically, I'm a resident alien, I guess. And I just -- I don't know. I just never really thought about it.

Nadine: So why is the I.N.S. after you now?

Nikolas: Because when I was in Los Angeles looking for my mother, I got into a bit of trouble with the police, and now they're treating me like an illegal alien and telling me to leave the country.

Nadine: Oh. That's horse puckey. We won't let that happen.

Nikolas: What do you mean "we won't"?

Lucky: Okay. All right, thanks for the information.

Sam: I wasn't sure you would still be here.

Lucky: Well, that was the station. They said that the coast guard is on the scene. They confirmed that the freighter leased to Jerry Jacks exploded in the harbor.

Sam: Well, did they find a body?

Lucky: No. It was just cash, drugs, and some personal belongings, but enough to convince them that Jerry's dead.

Sam: Well, he's -- he's got to be dead. Because when Jason and I jumped off that boat into the water it was just about to explode, and Jerry was still in the cabin,

Lucky: Yeah, Sam, you could have died.

Sam: But I didnít. Besides, Lucky, you were off in L.A., trying to find your mom. So everything worked out. She's okay, and so are we.

Lucky: Are we?

Elizabeth: I am tired of hiding in the shadows waiting for some impossible day when you feel like it's going to be safe for you to be around me.

Jason: You know all the reasons I can't be right now.

Elizabeth: We have lied about Jake, about our relationship, about our feelings. And I realize that I started most of these lies, but I also know that they have a way of coming out. And when they do, somebody always gets hurt.

Jason: Yes, but keeping Jakeís paternity a secret is the best way to keep him from getting hurt.

Elizabeth: I'm not so sure I agree with you anymore. I know that Michael and Kate were shot, but that was because of Sonny and his choices.

Jason: No, no, no, no, no. I want Jake to have a safe, normal childhood.

Elizabeth: Do you remember when he was little and you asked me what happens when Jake gets older and he finds out that you're his father, how betrayed is he going to feel, how angry is he going to be at all the adults that thought it was okay for him to live this lie? Well, you were right, and I was wrong. And I want to stop this before it goes any further.

Jason: I just -- I don't know what the answer is.

Elizabeth: Well, I do. We tell the truth. And then we live the truth.

Jason: And you and your children become targets immediately.

Elizabeth: Jason, I don't know if you're just trying to protect me, or you feel like the boys and I would be a burden in your life, but you need to be honest. Do you want me or not?

Jason: Yes.

Sonny: Hi. Are you here alone?

Kate: Yep.

Sonny: Somebody should be with you.

Kate: Probably. I sent Maxie back to the office and Olivia's on her way with takeout, so...

Sonny: I came by the hospital and you had left.

Kate: Patrick let me out early. I guess you got out early, too. Are you okay?

Sonny: Yeah, I'm fine. I had -- I had an alibi.

Kate: Yeah. Carly, right? Didn't she swear to the police that you had unbridled sex all night long?

Sonny: Who told you, Jax?

Kate: Yeah, Jax, Jax. You know, another person left in the wake of your dysfunctional relationship with Carly.

Sonny: Can you give me a chance to explain exactly --

Kate: No, I don't -- I don't actually --

Sonny: Let me explain --

Kate: I don't want to hear it. Lies, truth, extenuating circumstances -- it doesn't really matter anymore. We're through.

Nadine: Are you a citizen?

Leyla: Resident alien with a green card. Why?

Nadine: Well, what would you do if you got deported?

Leyla: Pack my things and go, I suppose. There really aren't too many legal options these days, and I'm certainly not going to marry a U.S. citizen just so I can stay in the country.

Nadine: "Thicker than flies and apple pie."

Leyla: Aunt Rayleen.

Nadine: I am so dense. No wonder Nikolas came over and that's why he wanted me to meet his mother.

Leyla: Okay, now you've completely lost me.

Nadine: Nikolas wants me to marry him.

Leyla: What?

Nadine: Yeah.

Leyla: Oh, my gosh.

Nadine: Yeah. He's about to get deported because he's not a citizen, but he could be if he was married to one.

Leyla: Okay. So why wouldn't he just come out and say it?

Nadine: He's too polite. Nikolas wouldn't want to pressure me. But it's no pressure at all. I would be happy to marry Nikolas.

Lucky: It's just been very -- it's been hard for me. I don't --

Sam: Listen to me, please. It was never about Jerry as a man. I -- I hated him.

Lucky: You keep saying that.

Sam: I did. I hated everything that he did. I hate what he -- he played my mother. He set fire to the clinic. He was giving patients counterfeit drugs and didn't give a damn that they were dying. I hated what he did at the Metro Court and never had to pay for it. Somebody needed to bring him to justice.

Lucky: So badly that you would have slept with him?

Sam: Listen. Jerry and I were playing a game of cat and mouse, and it did get out of control, and I am sorry for that.

Lucky: But part of you enjoyed it.

Sam: Yes. I wanted to beat him.

Lucky: Sometimes I wonder.

Sam: What?

Lucky: That maybe I'm just too tame for you.

Sam: Oh, my God.

Lucky: Yeah. Maybe you kind of get bored with me.

Sam: Lucky, I do not get bored with you. For the first time in my life, I have a man who actually cares about me. No lies, nothing. Completely honest, right? So here's me, being completely honest with you. I hope and pray that we are not over, because I love you and I want a future with you, whatever that may be.

Lucky: Honestly, this has been very hard for me.

Sam: Yeah?

Lucky: But I do love you.

Sam: Oh, good. Because I think there are worse places to start.

Elizabeth: You mean this, right? You want us to be together?

Jason: Of course, this is all I want. But things are going to have to change. We're going to have guards 24 hours a day. The boys aren't going to have the same freedom other kids have. So many things --

Elizabeth: And Jake is going to get to grow up with his daddy in the house, and he's going to know how much you love him, and it's the best gift we can give our son.

Jason: Okay. Okay, if -- if we're going to do this --

Elizabeth: Mm-hmm?

Jason: We need to take it one step at a time.

Elizabeth: Okay. I can do that. I can be patient, just as long as I know where we're heading, okay? I've got to go pick up the boys from day care. And then when I take them home, can you meet me there?

Jason: Yes, I can.

Elizabeth: You can?

Jason: Yeah.

Elizabeth: And then you can see the boys before they go to bed, and I'll make you dinner, and we can have a glass of wine, and we'll just hold each other like we did at the safe house. Only this time it's going to be our house. Don't worry. It's going to be fine. Trust me. I love you. All right. You're going to be there, right?

Jason: Yeah, I'll be there.

Elizabeth: Okay.

Carly: Jax?

[Phone rings]

Carly: Morgan? Oh, hey, sweetie. I'm sorry I missed you at Kellyís. I was looking forward to having a burger with my favorite guy. You saved me a bite of a cookie. That is so thoughtful of you. Yes. I will be home in time to tuck you in. And you know what, I'm going to read you a chapter of "Castles in the Attic," okay? I love you, too. Bye.

Kate: We're over. I have to draw the line somewhere.

Sonny: Why would you even say something like that, after everything we've been through? We love each other. We were -- you were going to spend the rest of your life with me.

Kate: Yeah, well, marriage, it needs to be based on mutual respect.

Sonny: I do respect you. What do you mean I don't --

Kate: You turn to Carly at every opportunity. You turn to her for sex and alibis and God help you, emotional support.

Sonny: That's not true. You're wrong about that.

Kate: I'm wrong?

Sonny: Yeah, you're wrong.

Kate: Well, your actions speak a lot louder than words, Sonny. This incident is just another in a long line --

Sonny: You want to know the truth? Karpov stabbed me. Right here. He left me for dead. Carly came, got me out of the water, brought me back to her place, and called the doctor. That's the truth.

Kate: And then she supplied your alibi for your latest murder.

Sonny: Is that why you want to break up with me, because I went to Carly for help?

Kate: I'm just mad, Sonny.

Sonny: What? What are you mad about?

Kate: I am mad that it took me so long to realize that you and Carly are perfect for each other.

Sonny: What are -- I don't -- I have nothing for her. I love you, not her.

Kate: I come second, right? Always. I come second to your ex-wife. I come second to your job. That is not enough for me.

Sonny: Okay, so you're hurt and you're angry. Don't -- don't -- don't say things you don't -- you know -- you can't take back.

Kate: Are you looking for a word, Sonny? The word is "irrevocable," and if you had actually gone to high school, if you had finished it, you might know that. Now get out --

Sonny: Do you know what you're doing?

Kate: Get out!

[Knock on door]

Cody: Jason, it's Cody.

Jason: Come on in. Make it quick. I have someplace to be.

Cody: Cancel it.

Jason: What?

Cody: Retaliation is starting.

Jason: Retaliation for what?

Cody: Karpov's dead.

Jason: What?

Cody: Sonny was arrested, but released. Suddenly, there's Russians running around the city in gangs looking for trouble. They hit your transport yard. Whole place is in flames. These guys are out for payback, and you're a target.

[Phone rings]

Elizabeth: Hello?
