Scott: You two can make all the racket you want. Johnny Zacchara murdered my son and I want his head on a stick.
Nikolas: But you put up a reward to capture him and now Lulu's a target.
Scott: Yeah, well, she knew what she was doing when she helped him escape.
Lucky: Baldwin, if the wrong person sees that bulletin, Lulu could wind up dead. Is that really what you want?
Reporter: John Zacchara and Lulu Spencer were last seen stealing a city official's car at gunpoint outside the police precinct in Port Charles. Zacchara was under arrest for the murder of Logan Hayes. A reward of $100,000 has been offered for any information --
Lourdes: Sal, come here. You got to see this.
Reporter: Leading to Zacchara's capture and arrest.
Johnny: The Port Charles police have no clue we're in Manhattan. We've got a safe place to stay, a relatively plausible cover story, and -- hey, we don't need to sneak away to the Zacchara garden shed for some privacy.
Lulu: That's the best part.
Lulu: No, no.
Johnny: What is wrong?
Claudia: Where's the proof that you can save John from a murder charge?
Ric: We'll get to that. First, I kind of want to know what's in it for me.
Claudia: Blackmail? Or is this extortion? Either way, you're speaking a language I understand.
Ric: Claudia, what I want to know is what you're prepared to give me in exchange for your brother's freedom and his life.
Claudia: Whatever you want.
Jason: Like I said, there's no evidence against me. Cops are going to have to release me soon.
Sonny: Meanwhile, everything I built, everything I entrusted to you is vulnerable.
Jason: The business is not at risk, Sonny.
Sonny: You know that because?
Jason: Because the Zaccharas are dealing with Johnny right now. They don't have any time to make any type of hostile moves. South American partners, that whole situation is stable. All shipments are on track.
Sonny: But who's running things? Come on, Diane? Bernie?
Jason: I'm running things.
Sonny: Well, from in here, your rivals know that you're out of commission. They could be making a move. They could be taking advantage of you. You know, you never know what's coming in weeks or months.
Jason: Bernie is keeping me informed. There's nothing to worry about right now.
Sonny: Yeah, but you -- you could be underestimating the damage.
Jason: Why -- why are -- why are you pushing me so hard?
Sonny: Because I don't think you're being realistic about this situation.
Jason: If you came here to tell me something, just tell me.
Jason: I mean, do you want the business back?
Ric: This is Logan Hayes' service record. Read it for yourself.
Claudia: "Corporal Hayes pulled a knife on Private Krespy, accusing Krespy of flirting with Hayes' female companion. A fight ensued. Hayes stabbed Krespy in the arm." So you're planning on making a defense out of the idea that whenever there was a problem with Logan and a woman, he would go after the competition with a knife?
Ric: That's an oversimplification, but yes.
Claudia: Okay, well, a barroom brawl is a lot different than a murder charge.
Ric: It speaks to a pattern of behavior, Claudia. Look, I can argue that Johnny probably killed Logan in self-defense.
Claudia: Then why did he cover it up?
Ric: Because Johnny had been railroaded once before by Logan's father. Special Prosecutor Baldwin was sure to get a conviction and Johnny figures "nobody's going to believe my story," so he takes off.
Claudia: What about the kidnapping, Ric? What about fleeing custody? I mean --
Ric: Look, all of those lesser charges can be pled down. The first order of business is to make sure that Johnny beats the original murder charge.
Claudia: You know, you're selling me a great big load of maybe here. The truth is you have no way of knowing whether or not you can make John a free man or even if you can keep him alive.
Scott: Johnny and Lulu, the lovebirds, they're up to their necks in this.
Lucky: There's no proof of that.
Scott: Sure, there is. Lulu, a chip off the old Spencer block.
Nikolas: Will you just -- you just listen to me for a second? You put out a reward. It just brings out all the crazy people. They'll shoot first and ask questions later.
Lucky: She could be killed.
Scott: Well, she should've thought about that before she got mixed up in this.
Nikolas: Could you show a little bit of compassion here?
Scott: Where was the compassion for my son?
Nikolas: He was obsessed with her. That's not Lulu's fault.
Scott: Yeah, it is her fault. She's the one that messed -- started this whole thing. She played Logan against Johnny and then she cozied up to Logan. She was running around with Johnny. Logan was in love with her and that provoked Johnny to kill Logan.
Lucky: You cannot put this crime on Lulu.
Scott: Yes, I can. She killed Logan. She might as well stuck the knife in herself.
Johnny: What's wrong?
Lulu: My parents used to always tell me these exciting stories about being on the run. And it seemed like it was going to be a rite of passage for every Spencer, and here I am, nervous wreck.
Johnny: You're doing great.
Lulu: Except for all my panic attacks.
Johnny: No, you're braver than I am. You're the one that went out and stocked up on food and supplies while I stayed here in this apartment safe and sound.
Lulu: I just wish that I could relax.
Johnny: Just try to act natural.
Lulu: Right, Joe and Linda from Chicago.
Johnny: Two ordinary people hanging out in my dead piano teacher's apartment.
Lulu: I just thought of something. What if your dad remembers that you had lessons from Professor Siegel and he tracks us down?
Johnny: My mother took care of all the lessons. My father never even thought about things like that. It'll never cross his mind that we're here, okay? We made a clean getaway. Sal and Lourdes bought our cover story. We got nothing to worry about.
Reporter: John Zacchara is the son of the reputed mob boss Anthony Zacchara, and should be considered armed and dangerous.
Sal: Lourdes! What are you yelling about?
Lourdes: It was a funny commercial, but it's over. You missed it.
Sal: Que? Tu estas loca? You almost gave me a heart attack here. I thought you had a psycho coming out of the closet or something. Nina, estas loca.
Carly: You don't need your tie.
Jax: Carly, we can't do this. I'm sorry.
Carly: We are doing this.
Jax: You know, it's possible that you could seduce me without much trouble right now --
Carly: We're past possible --
Jax: No, this is not like one of the fights that we've had about the hotel, you know, where you persuade me by going home and having sex. It's not the same thing.
Carly: Yeah, but that is one of your strong suits. It really is.
Jax: Will you stop, please?
Carly: You're so flexible, willing to adapt. It's so amazing. Most people are way stubborn.
Jax: Yeah, that's really good, but flattery is not going to get you anywhere.
Carly: I'm being honest. That's all, just honesty.
Jax: Carly, I wanted a separation because our marriage is in trouble, okay? You can't fix this by stowing away on my jet and sitting on my lap.
Carly: I'm not trying to fix it. I'm trying to remind you of something that you already know. I love you and you love me and we're better off together than we'll ever be apart.
Jax: No, no, no, not this time.
Carly: You know what? Let's look at this from a different perspective. We are 30,000 feet up in the air. Neither one of us can leave. So we might as well make the best of it.
Jax: No, you just -- you're not taking this seriously.
Carly: I am taking it seriously.
Jax: You're only putting me first because I moved out.
Carly: That's not true.
Jax: I'm not -- I'm not going to do this. I -- I -- I'm just not.
Carly: Okay. I have never been with a more sweet and kind and accepting man. Do you remember the night that we were getting ready for bed and the reality of losing Michael hit me like a ton of bricks and I couldn't stop crying? And you laid there with me and you talked to me and you calmed me down. And you were reminding me of all the wonderful, joyful times that we had with Michael.
Jax: Yeah. Yeah, we were laughing about something. I can't remember what it was.
Carly: I don't either. But you touched my heart, like you always do. And I know being married to you has been the happiest time of my life. And if you were honest with yourself, you'll admit that you have been happy, too.
Jax: No, I have.
Carly: Okay, but then can that just be enough for right now? Can, right here in this moment, we just be happy together?
Sonny: I was just offering my help. It doesn't mean I want to take back the business.
Jason: Are you sure?
Sonny: You agreed to take control on one condition, that I sign away my kids. I have done that to keep my family safe. Nothing's changed. I'm out, I'm staying out.
Jason: Okay, so why do you keep showing up telling me how I should be running things?
Sonny: Because, as -- as your friend, I see that you're not doing things right. I've worked more than a decade, adding territory, building power, and I just see that you're letting things fall apart.
Jason: What are you talking -- nothing's falling apart.
Sonny: When things start to go downhill, they slip quickly. If you're not strong enough to hold on to the territory, everybody's in danger.
Ric: I'm not a magician, Claudia. The mess you and Johnny made trying to cover up Logan's murder is not going to be easy to clean up.
Claudia: If you think it's such a lost case, then why are you here?
Ric: It's called damage control, sweetie. We want to make sure that John doesn't end up behind bars for the rest of his life, or worse yet, gunned down by the police. First things first, John's going to have to turn himself in.
Claudia: Yeah, I doubt that's high on his to-do list.
Ric: Really? Did he try to contact you? Okay, you know what, Claudia? If this is going to work out between the two of us, you are going to have to trust me. Now, John's on the run and he's not by himself. He's got an emotional young woman with him.
Claudia: I don't give a damn about Lulu Spencer.
Ric: Well, I'm sure you don't, but Johnny does, and right now, Johnny's thinking about her and worrying about her and he's not thinking too rationally right now. So sooner or later, that's going to trip the both of them up. And Scott Baldwin will get his revenge.
Nikolas: All you're trying to do is get revenge on Luke and Laura, Scott, by persecuting their daughter.
Scott: Lulu is poison.
Lucky: You make one more crack about Lulu, I swear --
Scott: I tried to warn Logan that Lulu was going to break his heart, but he wouldn't listen to me. He was in love with her. And guess what? She ended up getting him killed.
Lucky: Logan was violent.
Scott: He has a temper. So do I. It's not a crime.
Lucky: We have testimony from independent sources -- Kate Howard, Dr. Matt hunter -- on the last days of Logan's life, that he was combative, that he was delusional for Lulu, that he showed up at her workplace insisting they get back together.
Scott: Well, you know, what it sounds a little bit like what your father did to your mother. But everyone said that he was, you know, romantic and he was the hero. So why is my dead son to blame for the fact that he went after Lulu the same way that your father went after Laura?
Robin: Hi. You look great, as always.
Anna: Well, thank you. You look gorgeous, too. You're one of those fabulous pregnant women who stays exactly the same, except for that cute little bump right there.
Robin: Oh, cute is not exactly the word that springs to mind. So listen, I have two more patients and then I'm going to do a quick change and we'll go.
Anna: Good. Where we going?
Robin: Eli Love's concert.
Anna: Oh, no, no, no.
Robin: Yes, yes, yes. Look, I know that you will not take his calls, but he finally got through to me and despite the bruised jaw, he gave us all backstage passes.
Anna: Whoopdedo. How amazing. Well, you just have great fun with Patrick.
Robin: No, three passes, as in you're supposed to come, too.
Anna: I would rather stick needles in my eyes.
Epiphany: The ambulance called five minutes ago. They'll be arriving in the E.R. any second.
Matt: Well, go ahead and book an O.R. because the patient needs surgery.
Patrick: May need surgery. We monitor him for at least 24 hours.
Matt: Do you -- do you have a date that you have to go on, because I'm sure that's fine. I'll just find another neurosurgeon who would be willing to supervise when I operate.
Patrick: You don't slice a guy's head open for the hell of it.
Epiphany: Okay, I'll see one of you downstairs.
Matt: So does anyone question the judgment of the mighty Dr. Drake or -- really, am I the first?
Patrick: Knock yourself out, slick. I already treated him for migraines the first time he was in here. What I say goes and I say we wait. And you're late for rounds.
Noah: Patrick, did you page me?
Patrick: No, it must've been Robin. They're talking about Eli Love and Anna looks pretty annoyed.
Noah: Well, she should be. She's much too good for that lowlife.
Robin: Mom, you love going to Eli's concerts.
Anna: Yeah, I used to. That's before I discovered he's about as shallow as a mud puddle. You know, he writes beautiful lyrics and they used to make me happy. And now I know he doesn't mean any of it. It just -- it -- it -- it makes me feel like I want to throw up.
Robin: Well, yeah, but you still have your pride.
Anna: Who's questioning that?
Robin: No one will, if you just show up to the concert.
Anna: Honey, I don't have to prove anything to anyone. And, quite frankly, I'm kind of grateful to Eli, to pointing how superficial I've been, having any negative issues to do with being a grandmother. So I want you and Patrick to have a fabulous time and I will see you later. Love you.
Patrick: That didn't look good.
Robin: Nope, she won't go.
Noah: Good. I mean, why would she want to after the way that jerk treated her?
Robin: To show him what he's missing.
Lucky: You can't compare Logan to my father.
Scott: You're right. Logan never raped Lulu.
Nikolas: All right, you know what, you know what? Stop right there. That's between Luke and Laura. That's not for you to judge.
Scott: It was still a criminal act.
Nikolas: Why don't you stop taking out all that rage and -- and jealousy on Lulu? She's not responsible for her parents' choices.
Scott: She is responsible for the mess that she's gotten herself into. And if you think I'm going to let my son's killer ride off into the sunset, you think again.
Nikolas: My God, if Laura could hear you --
Scott: Well, she can't hear me because of your father.
Lucky: You've been carrying this grudge for decades. Now you just see a chance for payback.
Scott: Look, I loved Laura. I never gave up on her, in spite of all your father's drunken promises. I tried to warn Logan. I knew what he was going through, but I never in a million years thought it would cost my son his life.
Johnny: Okay. Come on; just copy my notes one octave lower.
Lulu: I have to be the world's slowest learner.
Johnny: No, you're doing great.
Lulu: No, I'm not. You're just saying that to keep me distracted.
Johnny: You've almost got it. Let's try it one more time, okay?
Johnny: Good. That wasn't half bad, was it? Hey, stick with me. You'll be playing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" in no time.
Lulu: Oh, good.
[Knock on door]
Lourdes: Joe, it's me.
Lourdes: Hi. I -- I was wondering if you could give me another lesson.
Lulu: Already? Sweetie, you -- you already had your lesson this morning.
Lourdes: I haven't practiced since Professor Siegel died and I'd like to catch up. But if it's a bad time --
Johnny: No, no, no, it's -- it's -- it's fine. Have a seat. We'll pick up where we left off this morning.
Lourdes: Great. So... where did you study in Chicago?
Claudia: I don't know where John is. For all I know, he could be in Milan.
Ric: Come on, Claudia, you're smarter than this. You know John's only hope is to bring this case to trial and get a good lawyer to get him acquitted.
Claudia: And that would be you?
Ric: Listen, I got your father released. I can do the same thing for your brother. But it's going to cost you.
Claudia: Well, we haven't discussed what it's going to cost me yet.
Ric: You haven't told me what you're willing to offer.
Claudia: Well, I don't like games when it comes to my brother's life. And it's on the line, so I'll tell you what. I'll make this really simple, really easy for you. I don't have to give you a damn thing. All I have to do is turn you over to my father.
Jason: Come on, I spend one night in lock-up. How many times have I done that? It doesn't mean I'm losing control of anything.
Sonny: Maybe not. But you might've been losing control when you forced me to sign away my -- my kids.
Jason: Wait, you -- you wanted out. You wanted a new life.
Sonny: You sure did use it as leverage. And you weren't going to give up until Carly got revenge --
Jason: This isn't -- this isn't about revenge for me or for Carly. You know what this is about.
Sonny: You and Carly keep blaming me for what happened to Michael. And for whatever reason, you turned against me to work with her to take away my kids. The only thing good that came out of it is that I'm out of the business. And I'm not going to lie to you. It's not easy. But it's your business now. That's fine. And if you suffer half the losses I did, you'll understand my pain.
Robin: My mother should go to the Eli Love concert to prove to him, but more importantly to herself, that she doesn't care. You know, she doesn't need his rock star attention to be the beautiful, empowered woman that she always has been.
Patrick: And it wouldn't be a bad idea for Eli to see her eat his heart out when he realizes she doesn't give a damn.
Noah: Yeah, but if she doesn't want to go, you're not going to make her go.
Patrick: Well, no, Robin can't, but you could.
Noah: Oh, no, no, no, no. Keep me out of this, please.
Patrick: Dad, come on. She trusts you, and she -- you know, I think you could do it, and plus, you look like the guy.
Noah: Please, I like to think I have a little bit more depth of character than Eli Love.
Robin: Well, then prove it. Talk to her.
Noah: If she doesn't want to go, I can't make her go either.
Robin: You can. You can convince her. It really is the ego boost that my mom needs right now.
Noah: Look, I'd really love to help Anna out. You know --
Robin: Thank you, Noah, very much.
Noah: You're welcome, I think.
Patrick: I'm all about helping your mom beat this self-centered rock star guy, but what do you expect to happen at the concert that's going to make her turn around?
Robin: Mm, I'm working on that.
Sam: I need to see a doctor as soon as possible. I think I pulled a muscle in my shoulder.
Nadine: Sure, I will put you in room three. Follow me.
Sam: Perfect. Thank you.
Nadine: You may have to wait a while to see the doctor.
Sam: I am so happy to see you. I've missed you so much.
Lucky: You know, I'm hating this undercover thing more and more all the time. Not only are we not spending any time together, I have to worry about you.
Sam: Okay, I know. I hate not being together, too, but our breakup is a success. Everybody's buying it.
Lucky: Good -- is there any progress on your part?
Sam: Okay, yes, there is. It's funny that you mention it. I just got back from a meeting with this Russian guy, Andrei Karpov.
Lucky: No, I never heard of him.
Sam: Okay, all right, well, he's looking for a local captain to supervise imports and exports, and he was very specific about what he wanted. He wanted somebody who had the ability not to ask questions. Me.
Sam: Import-export -- that's usually a vague term for mob.
Sam: Yeah, I know, I know. I talked to one of my contacts, and he says that he's a heavy-hitter in international shipping. How much do you want to bet that his cargo is counterfeit drugs?
Diane: I have obtained a court order for my client's release. There is no proof that Jason Morgan intentionally aided or abetted John Zacchara's escape. Therefore, you are obligated to release him.
Mac: Jason blocked Detective Harperís shot at John Zacchara.
Diane: Jason saved Lulu Spencerís life when a trigger-happy cop might have shot her head off. My client's swift intervention prevented a tragedy. Judge Randall sees it that way. It's all right here in the court order.
Mac: You know what? You should advise your client that if he makes contact with Johnny or Lulu, he should advise them to contact us.
Diane: Once again, I have so earned my retainer. Judge Randall just issued a court order for your release. Commissioner Scorpio is processing the paperwork as we speak. You are -- you will be out of here in no time.
Jason: Thank you.
Diane: You're welcome.
Jason: Have you -- have you heard from Sonny?
Diane: I had a meeting with him this morning. Why?
Jason: Well, he came to see me, and he wanted to know who was, you know, watching the business while I was in lockup.
Diane: And you said?
Jason: I am, and things are calm with the Zaccharas' South American partners. Everything's good there, but he said something about being vulnerable to rivals. Do you know what that was about?
Diane: Rivals? Perhaps Sonny simply misses being in charge.
Jason: No, he doesn't -- he doesn't want the business back, Diane, so I'm just kind of trying to figure out what's going on.
Diane: That is anyone's guess.
Jason: What'd you guys talk about this morning?
Diane: Jason, anything that I discuss with Sonny is subject to attorney-client privilege, and I owe him the same loyalty and discretion that I owe you.
Johnny: I studied at the Sherwood Music Conservatory.
Lourdes: Yeah, sounds fancy.
Johnny: I liked it all right. The professors were okay, but I always liked Professor Siegel the best.
Lourdes: So, did you go to any concerts when you were living in Chicago?
Johnny: Yeah, my mother would take me to this place called Nichols Hall to hear chamber music.
Lourdes: So wait, no rock or blues?
Johnny: I did the club scene every once in a while. Is this a piano lesson or an interview?
Lourdes: Sorry. I really think you're an interesting guy.
Johnny: No, actually, I'm pretty ordinary.
Lourdes: Ordinary people live in the same neighborhood most of their lives like yours truly, but here you are, showing up out of nowhere at a professor's apartment like you jumped out of the sky or something.
Claudia: You should have told my father about Logan's knife-happy history before you hired him to push my dad around in a wheelchair.
Ric: Sorry to disappoint you, but that's not really something you can blackmail me with.
Claudia: Oh, really? Excuse me? There's one person in this world that my father loves, and that's Johnny, and you knew that Logan and Johnny had bad blood, and you knew that Logan had a history of violence.
Ric: What -- what am I, clairvoyant? All of a sudden, I'm going to be able to predict the outcome?
Claudia: See, I don't know if my father's going to see it like that. I'm thinking that he might figure you could have avoided this entire situation if you hadn't hired Logan in the first place, or in the very least, Ric, if you told my father about the potential for violence here.
Ric: That's some pretty dark, paranoid reasoning.
Claudia: Yeah, well, my father's the poster child for paranoia. He's looking for someone to blame this on, and I'll tell you what. I wouldn't mind if some of the heat that's been landing on me landed on you instead.
Ric: Why don't you go ahead? You go tell Anthony. And when he kills me, you lose your one chance to get your little brother acquitted.
Ric: Yeah, maybe? What's plan B, Claudia? How are you going to get -- how are you going to save your brother? Look, I suggest we stop making threats and start thinking as allies.
Carly: Wasn't that better than fighting?
Jax: Oh, yeah. You're unbelievable, you know that? But I love you too much to settle for just part of your heart.
Carly: You have all of my heart, didn't I just prove that to you?
Jax: No, Carly, seducing me won't solve our very real problems.
Carly: Okay, so why don't we deal with our problems one at a time, in between having sex, let's say for the rest of our lives?
Jax: You're unbelievably persuasive.
Carly: Does that mean yes?
Jax: No, it's my way of saying that you're trying to distract me from this business meeting. That's not going to work.
Carly: I don't care about this meeting, because I wanted to be with you. You want our marriage to be a priority, and so do I.
Jax: We should have landed by now.
Carly: Uh --
Carly: I asked Darren to circle. He thinks we're a good couple, so he agreed. Probably going to miss the meeting. No way you're going to make it in time.
Jax: Well, you know what? Fortunately for me, I don't have to wait for the plane to land.
Lucky: You know, I think we should scale back our original plan.
Sam: Now, lucky, when we're finally making progress?
Lucky: You've already made contact with this Karpov character. I can take it from here.
Sam: No, forget it.
Lucky: Listen, just tell me if there's anything I can use. I can run a background check.
Sam: No, you cannot run a background check. What if there are moles in the department? You go around asking questions, you're going to blow my cover before I even get the job.
Lucky: Listen, the whole point is to keep you from putting yourself in danger. I don't like the sound of this guy, and if this slime-bag is running this drug ring, who's to say he hadn't even put a tail on you already?
Nikolas: Well, I'm so glad that I was able to contribute millions of dollars to build this nice secret clubhouse.
Sam: You know, I'm glad you're here. You have good timing. Will you please remind your brother that we put a plan into motion that carries a certain amount of risk, but the end does justify the means? And while you're at it, let him know that I am a big girl who can take care of herself.
Sonny: What's that?
Max: Oh, you got a delivery.
Sonny: You order some vodka?
Max: Yeah, it's from Karpov.
Max: Oh, thanks.
Sonny: Hey, it's a bribe. You keep your mouth shut about Karpov. I don't want Jason to know about my deal with him.
Max: Yeah, no problem.
Max: But chances are he's going to figure it out on his own, boss. I mean, Karpov's in town, he's got to be dealing with somebody.
Sonny: I don't want -- I don't want your warning. Just want you to do your job.
Max: Yes, Sir. I take it you just came from seeing Jason.
Sonny: I don't even know why I bothered. He used to be grateful for my advice. He had respect, and now --
Max: He still does, boss.
Sonny: No, well, you know what? Ever since Michael got shot, he's lost his trust in me. I tried to talk to him, give him my honest opinion. He misinterprets what I'm trying to do.
Max: Boss, the thing with Michael shook him up pretty bad. Maybe if you just went to him and told him how you are feeling and what you --
Sonny: I'm not going to -- what do I have -- what more can I say, Max? I'm done.
Sonny: It's best for everyone that Jason doesn't know about my dealings with Karpov.
Claudia: You know, you keep bringing up this alliance idea, and I'm just wondering what the catch is.
Ric: There's no catch, just a simple arrangement where everyone benefits. Your beloved brother John goes free, and I get Johnny's sister and Anthonyís daughter as an ally on the inside.
Claudia: You sprung my father so that you could be in his inner circle. So why do you keep coming after me?
Ric: Anthony has a way of playing people off against one another.
Claudia: Oh, yeah, he loves playing you and Trevor off each other.
Ric: Yes, he confides in us when it's convenient. He lies when it suits his fancy. Look, I pride myself on being very good at reading people, but your father is a master manipulator.
Claudia: Okay, so the attorney doesn't trust his client?
Ric: Something like that.
Claudia: Well, even if I could help you, not that I would -- look, my father pretty much shut me out of everything, so there's not a lot I can do.
Ric: Look, you have an in with John. That is all I need.
Claudia: Fine. Get my brother cleared of all these murder charges. I will be your ally. Shake.
Ric: I was kind of hoping for more than just a handshake.
Claudia: Oh, yeah, how much more?
Ric: Physical contact solidifies a relationship, you know.
Claudia: You want me to sleep with you? You want me to sleep with you to save my brother?
Ric: Well, come on, it's not so cryptic as all that. I think we can have a mutually beneficial relationship in and out of bed.
Claudia: Okay, here's the deal. Get my brother cleared of all these murder charges. On the day he's acquitted, I will happily go to bed with you.
[Knock on door]
Johnny: Linda's family didn't really approve of her moving to New York.
Lourdes: I thought you said Linda got accepted to NYU.
Lulu: I did.
Johnny: She also got accepted to Northwestern.
Lulu: Where my mom went. They wanted me to stay close to home, but Joe and I wanted our freedom.
Lourdes: So it's kind of like you ran away?
[Knock on door]
Sal: Lourdes, are you in there?
Sal: Hey, Linda, how are you? I got your note about taking another lesson.
Lourdes: Well, Joe is a great teacher.
Sal: Look, I'm really glad you're into it, but I can only afford to pay for one lesson a week, so --
Lourdes: You know, we'd be able to afford a lot more music lessons if the Zaccharas didn't kill Dad.
Sonny: Looks like you two worked things out. How's -- how's the baby?
Robin: Perfectly healthy.
Sonny: You need to realize what an amazing woman you have here.
Patrick: I do, Sonny.
Robin: Yeah, so I'm here on behalf of another amazing woman, my mother, the grandmother-to-be.
Robin: Yeah, her self-confidence has taken a blow lately, and I could really use your help.
Epiphany: The patient is resting comfortably in his room. You might want to look at his chart.
Matt: Swelling is down.
Epiphany: No need for that O.R.
Matt: If this is your way of rubbing it in that Dr. Drake's diagnosis was correct, I'm good, actually, because I've got the reminder right here.
Epiphany: You know, you might want to work with the members of this staff instead of against them, because some of us have been bandaging heads while you were still skinning your knees.
Anna: Excuse me, hi. I had a page from Dr. Drake, Sr.
Noah: Hey, thanks for coming.
Anna: Oh, hello. So, before you start, I imagine that this is a pep talk about me going with Robin and Patrick to Eli's concert, no?
Noah: Yeah, pretty much.
Anna: Okay. No, before you start this whole speech, I'd like you to know that I would prefer a dinner invitation from you than all of this other stuff. We have been so busy reacting to our impending grandparenthood that we haven't actually had a chance to catch up as friends.
Noah: I -- I would absolutely love to.
Noah: But I don't want you to use me to hide from Eli Love.
Jax: Hey, you might want to buckle up. Even though we're flying at a low altitude, when I open that door, the cabin pressure's going to drop, and you might get sucked out, so --
Carly: Are you insane?
Jax: Are you buckled up?
Carly: I am not going to lose you over some stupid -- Jax!
Lulu: I'm so sorry that you lost your father.
Johnny: I had no idea that he'd been murdered.
Sal: Our father used to own a diner by the docks. He was an honest businessman trying to make a living, but then the Zaccharas took over that part of town, and they forced him to pay protection money and turn a blind eye to their late night warehouse activities. Our father refused, and three days later, he was killed in a car accident. Nobody could prove anything, and they told me to keep my mouth shut, or I'd end up just like him.
Lulu: That's terrible.
Johnny: I'm sorry.
Sal: Me too. Those Zaccharas are pigs, bleeding people for their money, and if you stand up to them, you die. You know, some day, somebody's going to wipe them all out like they deserve.
Nikolas: Well, if you're asking me to weigh in on your continued involvement, I'd say it's your choice.
Lucky: Thanks a lot. Am I the only one who realizes Sam could be risking her life?
Sam: Wait, my life.
Nikolas: I -- I'm concerned for her, too. It certainly wouldn't disappoint me if you decided to back off. I'd actually feel better if you would, but you're driving the only lead we have right now. If we're going to stop this drug ring, you're probably the best shot we have.
Sam: Oh, how about your only shot.
Nikolas: Look, I'll -- you decide, okay? Just be careful.
Sam: Wait, wait. Don't say anything, please. Let me, okay? I know that you are sick with worry over Lulu, and the last thing you need to be is worried about me, too. Not only can I handle myself, but for the first time in a long time, I actually feel like I have a purpose, a reason to get up in the morning, so I'm begging you, Lucky, please. I'm asking you to believe that I know how to do this. Trust me.
Ric: In case you haven't heard, Claudia, Jason hates me so much it borders on psychotic.
Jason: You know what? Just call me when you're done with this.
Ric: No, no, no, don't be so secretive, Jason, really. I know the only reason that you're here is because you know that Claudia's been in touch with Johnny. Thank you for confirming that.
Jason: Whatever miracles Ric has promised you on Johnny's behalf, he's lying.
Ric: Oh, you're so sure of yourself, aren't you? Sitting in judgment of the whole world, smug in your own superiority, living that inviolate code of loyalty.
Jason: You know nothing about loyalty.
Ric: Neither does Sonny, apparently. He's working with Andrei Karpov.
