Nikolas: Look, I don't care what it costs. Move the drilling to a more eco-friendly area or I pull out my backing. It's as simple as -- Em?
Spinelli: [Whimpers] Mmm. Mmm. Hmm.
Spinelli: Oh -- bad idea. Oh.
Jason: What's wrong with you?
Spinelli: I'm just trying to mobilize, that's all.
Jason: How bad are you hurt?
Spinelli: Pretty bad --I'm paying the price for the pursuit of male perfection, is all.
Carly: Hey, Mercedes, when you're done with that, can you take Morgan out for a while? Maybe to my mom's?
Mercedes: Sure. Is everything okay?
Carly: Yeah, Jax is coming home, and I don't want Morgan to hear us fight.
Jax: Then why don't we try dealing with each other instead?
Alexis: Diane just gave me some very surprising news.
Sonny: Jason's taking over. I'm out of the business.
Alexis: Glad to hear that, but I was referring to the fact that you gave custody of the children over to Carly. That you've signed a termination of your parental rights.
Alexis: I'd like you to do the same thing for Kristina.
Nikolas: I apologize for that. I just got distracted for a moment and thought that you were --
Claudia: Yeah, you thought that I was your fiancťe.
Nikolas: Right, right. There's a part of me that'll never stop hoping to s her again. I guess it's just a reflex.
Claudia: Your guy, Alf -- Alfred? He's having my clothes washed. I'm taking it that Emily used to wear this old robe sometimes?
Nikolas: Yeah. Occasionally she would.
Claudia: You know -- were you guys going to get married and live in this creepy old house together? I mean, I'm not criticizing. You should see where my family lives. I just -- I imagine that everything in this place reminds you of Emily.
Claudia: Do you ever think of moving out or starting over?
Nikolas: Eh, it wouldn't matter. She'd be with me no matter where I am.
Claudia: Let me give you a little piece of advice, okay? You seem like a really decent guy. At some point, sooner or later, you're going to have to put one foot in front of the other and realize that you have a future.
Nikolas: You -- you really wouldn't understand.
Claudia: Try me.
Nikolas: It wouldn't make sense to you, unless you've been completely in love with someone, and then lost them.
Claudia: Love is a disaster waiting to happen. Especially for anyone in my family.
Maxie: Federico Cabrero is the new name in the fashion world. Everyone who's anyone wants to get invited to one of his parties, and he called to invite me, personally.
Lulu: He's just sucking up to Kate.
Maxie: Federico and I had an amazing time in New York. He said he wants me to bring a date, someone worthy of my fabulousness, is how he put it. His loft is amazing. You'd have a great time. Besides, you owe me.
Johnny: I meant a gift, or helping you out in some way.
Maxie: Oh, you'd be helping me. And the magazine. You'd be that little extra flash to put us over the top. The perfect accessory.
Johnny: You're going to have to find somebody else to accessorize you.
Maxie: You don't know what you'll be missing.
Lulu: I think he does.
Johnny: Maxie, thank you for the offer. I'll talk to you later.
Lulu: Ow. Does it hurt to crash and burn that hard?
Maxie: Oh, that wasn't a total loss.
Lulu: Really? Because Johnny could care less about Federico fashion and you.
Maxie: That's fine. But your boyfriend still owes me a favor.
Lulu: Well, show a little pride and try not to collect.
Maxie: You wish. Ahem.
Lulu: Well, you can't hide your desperation no matter what you wear.
Spinelli: Fair Samantha has been kind enough to instruct me in the ways of pumping up. But, as Stone Cold can see, the Jackal is less than adept and has a long, arduous road ahead before he can achieve physical prowess.
Jason: Why -- why are you doing this?
Spinelli: To enhance myself in Maximista's eyes.
Jason: You're working out because Maxie?
Spinelli: If I can increase my muscle tone, acquire, as it were, a six pack and guns, then maybe she'll view me as a worthy romantic partner.
Jason: Why are you here?
Spinelli: I didn't want to startle the customers in the coffee house with my less than manly yelps of pain, so I retired here to the confines of Mr. Sir's office. Please do not tell him I trespassed in his domain.
Jason: You know, that's something we need to talk about. I'm taking over for Sonny.
Alexis: I know it must have been very difficult for you to give up your rights --
Sonny: A lot more than difficult, Alexis.
Alexis: You did the right thing. You put your kids in front of yourself, and it shows how much you love them. So I'm just asking that you give the same consideration to your daughter.
Sonny: Alexis, do you think Kristina would be better off without me?
Alexis: No, I don't, Sonny, because I know that she loves you. She has a relationship with you that I think is important. I just want to be able to control the boundaries of that relationship, so that I can ensure her safety. I want to keep her protected. I want to keep her away from the bodyguards. I want to keep her away from you being arrested and all that goes with it. What I'm not going to be able to protect is how she feels about you. Because at some point, she's going to find out what you do.
Alexis: Probably from a friend at school, but she's going to find out that you're a criminal. I have watched the way Michael struggled with who you are, what you did. How the lines between right and wrong were always blurred for him. He wanted so much to believe that what you did was okay, that the violence was okay. He wanted so much to be just like you.
Sonny: Michael wanted a lot of things, and he's not going to have any, now is he, so --
Alexis: Morgan will and Kristina can, and you need to create a future for her that is unencumbered by the violence in your life.
Sonny: I know this means a lot to you --
Alexis: Don't say no. Don't say no.
Sonny: Listen --
Alexis: If you love her, you will do what's best for her.
Sonny: I lost Michael. I gave up Morgan. I canít. I can't give up -- I can't, I can't give up Kristina.
Carly: You're going to go over to Grandma Bobbieís house and she's going to make you macaroni and cheese with the crust on top. I know that's your favorite. You have fun, okay?
Jax: Hey, how about we go to the park this weekend and practice your T-ball?
Morgan: T-ball, great.
Carly: We'll see. We'll see about that. Come on. All right. You have fun. I love you, baby. I'll see you in the morning.
Jax: We'll see? What does that mean?
Carly: Well, you know, he's lost his brother and his father. I don't want him to set his hopes on a future that seems less and less likely.
Jax: Aren't you getting a little ahead of yourself?
Carly: Don't you think you should admit it? Our marriage is falling apart.
Alexis: So you'll do this for your sons, but you won't do it for your daughter?
Sonny: Don't do that. That's -- that's not what this is about.
Alexis: Out of all three of them, why are you choosing --
Sonny: You know I love Kristina.
Alexis: Then prove it. Then sign the termination of your parental rights.
Sonny: And that's going to change everything? I'm not going to walk away from Kristina any more than I'm walking away from Michael or Morgan.
Alexis: You gave up custody to Carly.
Sonny: I signed a piece of paper, that's all it was. Carly blames me for what happened to Michael. She wants to punish me. She wants to hate me, so I'm letting her.
Sonny: She was about to run with Morgan. She's lashing out. I'm an easy target. If I fight her, it's going to make it worse. Eventually, you know, she'll just see reason.
Alexis: So that's why you're doing this. Because you think that she'll give the kids back to you.
Sonny: Hey, I've known Carly a long time. The more you fight her, the crazier she's going to get, okay? Sooner or later, hopefully sooner, she'll come around, okay? She'll admit she's wrong.
Alexis: She's not wrong.
Sonny: I'm changing. I'm trying to do something different. For my children. Jason's running the business. I'm keeping the coffee business because it's legitimate.
Alexis: So this is just an empty gesture? So you're just using this to placate Carly?
Sonny: Oh. Do you want to get involved in this, Alexis? I don't think you do. We're going to work things out is what I'm saying to you.
Alexis: Do you hear yourself? Do you really hear yourself? Do you know that your son is in a permanent coma? I am trying to protect our daughter! And all that you can do is play games with your ex-wife?
Carly: I feel like I'm being tested. You -- you sympathize and you try to support me, but when I push too hard, you jump on a plane to go see Brenda? Or you run across town to go see Kate? What the hell is that?
Jax: Kate and I are business partners.
Carly: You weren't taking care of business standing there in the hotel lobby, Jax.
Jax: No, we werenít. We were talking about Sonny's decision to give up Morgan.
Carly: Oh. How the hell is it any of Kate's business what Sonny and I do with our children?
Jax: Kate doesn't think that you should have asked Sonny to give up his sons, and she disagrees with him for giving in.
Carly: Oh, wow. Hooray for Kate. Did you thank her for her insight?
Jax: No, I agree with you. You know that.
Carly: Well, next time, you can tell Kate to butt out and mind her own business.
Jax: Oh, what if I said the same thing about Jason? Every time you go running across town to him?
Carly: Hey, you can't compare Kate to Jason. Kate is a snob and she is playing you.
Jax: You're absolutely wrong. You can compare the two.
Carly: Right now, I feel like Jason is the only person on earth who supports me and who understands me and gives a damn about how I feel.
Jax: Jason is in the same business as Sonny. I mean, the violence that you're trying to protect Morgan from, it follows Jason around as well. So when are you going to cut your ties from him? Huh? When are you going to make that clean break?
Ric: Anthony, I think it was a smart move to blow up Jason's first shipment, but I think we should hit him again before he has a chance to regroup.
Anthony: I'm listening.
Ric: Just level a warehouse. Torch another shipment.
Trevor: Jason is going to retaliate. He is probably planning his move right now.
Ric: No, he's not. He's distracted. He's still grieving over Michael. Look, Sonny didn't give him any transition time. He dropped the business right into his lap. This is the best time to eliminate him.
Trevor: Richie. You got a personal vendetta against the man. That's always a bad reason to make a move.
Ric: Look, Jason is a glorified hitman, okay? He doesn't have any affinity for leadership or for planning, but he is very good at killing people. So we got to neutralize him before he neutralizes us.
Trevor: There is a big difference between fear and caution. Unfortunately, my son, you never learned that.
Anthony: Trevor, your son might be right. Jason has proven very hard to kill. This could be our chance to finish him off.
Trevor: Then you better send the best. Because if you try to take him out, eliminate him, and you miss? Jason's going to retaliate. And unlike you, my son, Mr. Morgan usually hits what he's aiming at.
Spinelli: The Jackal had no idea that Stone Cold had aspirations to replace Mr. Sir.
Jason: I didnít. Sonny wanted this. I agreed so he would give custody to Carly of Michael and Morgan.
Spinelli: You've never demonstrated even the slight interest in taking charge. You don't preen with power like Mr. Sir, and you express discomfort when giving orders. I mean, you're a doer, not a desk sitter.
Jason: Doesn't matter.
Spinelli: I mean, I have no doubt that you will handle your increased responsibilities with aplomb, but any satisfaction that you take will soon greatly diminish. And hapless things befall those who are dissatisfied in their work.
Jason: Spinelli, everybody's safer this way, okay? And itís not as if there's something better out there waiting for me.
Diane: Please tell me you are not considering using Mr. Grasshopper as an alibi.
Jason: I don't need an alibi.
Diane: One of your shipments was just burned to a crisp in the harbor. Presumably, the handiwork of the Zaccharas. You send me out of the room so that you can confer with Max. Hypothetically speaking, the only possible topic of conversation was retaliation.
Spinelli: The Jackal complies. Um, first -- oh, oh, oh -- a word or two with the brusque lady of justice? Firstly, the Jackal would be an exemplary alibi and stands ready to validate Stone Cold's lack of guilt in any and all charges leveled against him.
Diane: Anyone who lets you near a witness stand is committing litigatory suicide.
Spinelli: Secondly, the Jackal would hope that the tense, but supremely competent mob lawyer would advise her client to follow his heart, rather than take on any responsibilities that could prove burdensome or worse.
Nikolas: A bit cynical about love, are you?
Claudia: Well, okay, for the Zaccharas? Love is just another excuse to lie. My father was so in love with Johnny's mother that he shot and killed her.
Nikolas: Oh, nice.
Claudia: It's good -- a good role model, right?
Nikolas: Yeah. Well -- well, my father was -- was literally obsessed with my mother, and my uncle, he just followed suit. I mean, for a long time, I -- I was afraid to fall in love because I -- I thought that I would end up in that same desperate corner, you know?
Claudia: So, okay, so how were you able to have a happy, normal, healthy relationship with Emily?
Nikolas: Because she was the exact opposite of the Cassadines, no ulterior motives, no hidden agendas, none of that. She just -- she broke through my defenses, and I felt safe with her.
Claudia: Wow. What a concept.
Nikolas: I mean -- yeah, right. Even -- even when we were fighting and -and living apart, still had a connection with her.
Claudia: No wonder you're so devastated she's gone.
Nikolas: Yeah, she took a piece of me with her when she died. I wake up every morning feeling empty. Hmm. It's really hard to imagine my life without her.
Spinelli: Oh, fair Samantha. Ow. Gosh, um, thank you for responding to my summons. Um --
Sam: Yeah, it looks like we might have done a few too many reps.
Spinelli: The Jackal aches in places he did not know could be sore.
Sam: Okay, this is good. This is actually really good because you're using muscles that you normally wouldn't use, and I just think a few more sessions, and you'll loosen up just fine.
Spinelli: The Jackal must regretfully decline. Pain is a most powerful deterrent.
Sam: Well, what about Maxie?
Spinelli: Look, there's got to be some other form of enhancement that would attract Maximista that does not provoke stiffness in my peroneus longus.
Diane: Mr. Grasshopper has a rather obscure way of putting things, but occasionally a glimmer of insight manages to shine through, and I have to concur with him. This is not a job you seem to want.
Jason: I've run things before.
Diane: Believe me. I am not complaining. You are far less erratic than Sonny is. His demands were often unreasonable. His need to be in control at all times was burdensome, to say the least, but it brings me to my point. I'll bet every shoe in my closet that Sonny tries to take all this back very soon.
Diane: Hi, Max.
Max: Hi, uh, I hate to interrupt, but I need to talk to the boss about a retaliation strategy. Hypothetically speaking, of course.
Jason: Okay, there's nothing to discuss. I'm handling it myself.
Carly: I will never end my relationship with Jason.
Jax: Despite the violence.
Carly: Despite anything.
Jax: Well, that's -- that's really mature of you, Carly. I'm your husband. I'm the one that you're supposed to be sharing your life with.
Carly: Yeah, and you just stood there and admitted that you were talking about me to Kate. How do you think that makes me feel?
Jax: What are you -- are -- are you jealous of Kate? Is that what this is about?
Carly: Kate is selfish. She took my kid to the warehouse, Jax.
Jax: And Kate's involved with Sonny. I suppose that upsets you even more than the fact that her and I are business partners, right?
Carly: I don't give a damn that they're together.
Jax: Well, I'd love to believe that, but you and Sonny, you always find a way back to each other. And maybe it's the history you share. Or maybe it's the way you, uh, maybe it's the unique way you guys push each other's buttons.
Carly: What the hell are you trying to say?
Alexis: You know, it seems like what happened to Michael is just another way for you and Carly to punish each other and then stage some inevitable reconciliation, like you always do. It's just -- as sad as that is to me, Michael and Morgan are yours and Carly's to raise as you please, but Kristina is not.
Sonny: If you want to keep Kristina safe, Alexis, what the hell you doing with Jerry Jacks?
Alexis: I'm not with Jerry Jacks. He's a client.
Sonny: Your client held a room full of people hostage. He shot Robin Scorpio. He -- he blew up the metro court lobby. He's a psycho, but you can not stay away from him. Why is that?
Alexis: Well, he's Jax's brother, and your sons call him Uncle Jerry.
Sonny: The point I'm making is you keep bringing dangerous men into Kristina's life, even marrying them. Come on.
Ric: What'd I miss?
Alexis: You missed a lot. He's elected to give up his criminal pursuits. You want to wager a bet on how long he stays clean?
Sonny: I signed the business over to Jason.
Ric: Yeah, so I heard.
Alexis: I'll give Kristina your best.
Ric: Well, she's upset. I recognize the set of the jaw.
Sonny: I can't -- I can't give up Kristina.
Ric: Sonny, Alexis just wants to make sure that her daughter is safe, as do I. I'm sure you want the same thing for your children.
Sonny: Listen, I just want you to know that -- that at this point, I'm doing everything I can to protect my children. That's why I gave up my territory.
Ric: Are you sure? Or is Alexis right? Are you sure you can really stay away?
Jax: You hiding something from me?
Carly: I'm on edge, Jax. I have been on one long emotional rollercoaster, starting with getting pregnant and losing the baby, Michael getting shot, and now he is in a coma. He's in a facility with beautiful blue walls that he can't even see.
Jax: Yeah, you're grieving, we all are. But that doesn't give you reason to take it out on Kate.
Carly: I don't want her near you. Rationalize that all you want, but that's how I feel.
[Knock on door]
Kate: Hey, is Carly here?
Carly: I can't imagine what you could possibly have to say to me.
Kate: Carly, what you -- Jax has probably told you that he and I had a discussion about Sonny signing away his paternal rights to Michael and Morgan.
Carly: Yep, what about it?
Kate: Sonny and Morgan have both lost Michael. They need each other right now, and I'm just -- I'm respectfully asking that you reconsider your decision to separate them.
Carly: You know, if you had any respect for me at all, you wouldn't be here. So, pay close attention. If Morgan is near Sonny, it could cost Morgan his life. This is the only way to keep him safe.
Kate: Why can't you see that there are other ways to keep Morgan safe?
Carly: You know, I know you are with Sonny, and I am sure he is more acceptable now in your circle of friends because he is out of the organization, but my kids aren't part of the bargain, Kate.
Kate: I'm not trying to bargain with you.
Carly: And I can't stand the sight of you. Is that clear enough? My son's in a coma because you, on your own, came into my house and took him somewhere without my permission.
Kate: I'm going to go now.
Carly: Yeah, you do that. And don't come back.
Jax: That was uncalled for.
Carly: Well, you know what? By all means, go after her. But if you do, don't come back.
Sonny: I left the organization. I'm pushing coffee beans. Jason has taken over. So, if you don't believe me, just talk to him.
Ric: So, what are you going to do now, Sonny? You going to take up golf? You going to throw gourmet dinner parties?
Sonny: Are you going to make fun of me now? I'm in the coffee business.
Ric: Sonny, you've been defined by this business since you were a teenager, okay? You are your work.
Sonny: I had more -- two sons. One got shot. He'll never be whole again. The other is not legally my child now. And I have a daughter who I barely see, who now, I'm not going to see at all, because Alexis thinks that I'm dangerous, or whatever she wants to think.
Ric: You still have family.
Sonny: You taking about yourself?
Ric: Oh, I don't know. For what it's worth, we are brothers, okay? It can count for something if we just let it.
Sonny: I gave a lot away, but not my brain.
Ric: Oh, so, you're allowed to change, but I'm not,
Sonny: Well, you're just all about payback. So I don't want anything, you know.
Ric: Look, Sonny, I've done a lot of things that I regret. But I'm past all of that now.
Sonny: Well, at least you have a new target. I mean, all the anger you had towards me is redirected to Trevor.
Ric: My father is a completely different situation.
Sonny: Maybe. I still can't trust you.
Ric: All right. Well, I'll let Johnny and Anthony know that you are no longer in a position to be a threat.
Sonny: Ric. Just so you know, I am no longer in a position to protect you from Jason.
Lulu: We need to put next week's schedule together.
Maxie: I am almost done, and these photo proofs need to go to the photography house in half an hour.
Lulu: Okay, what about the messenger service?
Maxie: Oh, they are very backed up. But Kate was specific about needing these delivered tonight.
Lulu: Yeah, you just want me out of the way, so that I don't remind you of how you humiliated yourself with Johnny.
Maxie: Can't fool you. Going?
Lulu: Why don't you call Federico? I'm sure he can set you up with someone.
Maxie: Clock's ticking.
Lulu: Oh, yeah? Okay, well there's plenty of social-climbing men that wouldn't mind putting up with you for a night.
Maxie: Thank you for holding. As it turns out, we won't be needing a messenger to deliver those photo proofs. Thank you. Ha.
Anthony: Any word from Claudia?
Johnny: Not since she called to say she was okay.
Anthony: Hmm, not a good time for her to be out of touch.
Anthony: The Corinthos organization just lost a shipment. Little welcome present for Jason Morgan as new kingpin.
Johnny: This was Ric's idea, wasn't it? I told you, we can't provoke Morgan.
Anthony: And I disagreed. So, what's done is done.
Johnny: He'll retaliate.
Anthony: Of course he will, and we'll be ready.
Johnny: You sure about that?
Anthony: John, have a little confidence in your father.
[Cell phone rings]
Maxie: It's Maxie. I need you to come to the office right away. It's about Lulu's father.
Johnny: What about him?
Maxie: Oh, I can't tell you over the phone. But if you care about Lulu, you'll get here right now.
Johnny: I have to go. Remember what I said about Morgan.
Anthony: Please, I've been handling the Jason Morgans of the world since before you could crawl.
Johnny: Why are you by yourself? Where's Logan?
Anthony: He's around. I can fend for myself. I don't need that monkey breathing down my neck every minute.
Johnny: Suit yourself.
Anthony: Monkey, get over here. I need to use the can. Monkey.
Alfred: I took the liberty of bringing tea. Perhaps it will take the chill off the evening.
Claudia: Yeah, got a shot of whiskey to go with it?
Claudia: Easy, Jeeves. I don't bite, unless I want to.
Alfred: It isn't you, Miss, it's Master Nikolas. Did he, perhaps, mention the notion of going for a ride?
Claudia: A ride, like in a boat?
Alfred: No, on his horse.
Claudia: On his horse? It's pitch black outside. He's recovering from brain surgery. What is he, crazy?
Alfred: Unfortunately, he's been like this since Miss Emily died. I fear Master Nikolas doesn't wish to live without her.
Anthony: Monkey, where the hell are you?
Anthony: Hey, someone get in here. The room's on fire.
Trevor: Anthony! God, what happened?
Anthony: Help me put it out.
Trevor: No, no, it's too late. We've got to get out of here.
Anthony: This is my house. I'm not leaving.
Sonny: Oh, I got a call that you were down at the warehouse.
Max: Yeah, Jason wanted me to check it out.
Max: Just make sure that no one is looking to do any damage.
Sonny: I don't need -- I don't need your protection. How many times have I got to tell you?
Max: Look, I know.
Sonny: You know? Then why --
Max: You don't have any guards anymore. Jason's concerned that somebody might try to make a hit on you.
Sonny: Tell Jason that I don't want him sending you or anybody else to protect me, to look after me. I'm not a child. You get it?
Max: Okay. You know, it's weird, Mr. C. This is the same kind of thing that people will make me come say to you.
Kate: I heard the strangest rumors.
Sonny: I -- I signed over custody of Michael and Morgan to Carly. You look nice. I'm out of the business.
Kate: You seem to be taking it in stride.
Sonny: Oh, well, you know, this is it for me. I got -- I got -- um, my business associates, it's going to take them a while to accept that it's real, but they will. You're not happy? I mean, I did what you wanted.
Kate: I hope not.
Jax: You know that I don't agree with what Kate was asking. But the things you said were needlessly hurtful.
Carly: That wasn't half of what she deserves.
Jax: She was as devastated about what happened to Michael as anyone else.
Carly: Did she tell you that while she was crying on your shoulder? You're my husband. Why don't you open your eyes and see my side for a change?
Jax: This is not a competition between you and Kate.
Carly: You don't see how attentive she is to you?
Jax: What are you talking about?
Carly: Oh, my. She must have known a thousand potential backers. But she asked you to invest in "Crimson." That's because she -- she likes having your advice, Jax. She likes to cozy up to you. Ask you tons of questions.
Jax: Kate has no romantic interest in me whatsoever, okay? She knows how I feel about you.
Carly: Well, you know what? I really wish I did.
Jax: I've been here for you every step of the way. But lately, I am the last person you come to for support.
Carly: I love you.
Jax: Yeah, in your own way.
Carly: What the hell? Have you seen too much of the real me, and you're using this as an excuse to run for the hills?
Jax: I never said I was going anywhere.
Carly: Well, then, what do you want from me?
Jax: How about a reason to stay?
Johnny: Anybody here?
Maxie: I'll be right out. Hey, thanks for coming.
Johnny: Yeah. What was so important you couldn't tell me over the phone?
Maxie: Why don't you sit down?
Johnny: Where's Lulu?
Maxie: Uh, she had to run an errand for Kate. But she'll be back soon.
Maxie: Why don't you just sit down, and I'll tell you everything.
Johnny: Fine. What's going on?
Claudia: Oh, my God. Nikolas. Nikolas. Can you hear me? Nikolas.
Nikolas: It's all right. It's all right. I'm okay. Okay. Something spooked Rubicon, and he threw me.
Claudia: Is that your horse?
Nikolas: I feel like -- I feel like I got kicked in the ribs by an elephant.
Claudia: You're lucky it's not worse. You could have killed yourself.
Nikolas: That might have been for the best.
Kate: Please, Sonny, don't tell me you gave up the mob for me.
Sonny: What are you talking about? You didn't really like what I did for a living.
Kate: No, I didn't, but you did. In fact, you thrived on it. You built a business empire, and now you've given it up, just like that.
Sonny: Well, it's just, you know itís the right time. It feels right. It feels good.
Kate: Okay, right now, it feels right. But what about a week or a month and you might start to miss it, and -- I'm afraid you're going to resent my part in your decision.
Sonny: I don't want you to feel that way. I'm doing this, you know, for my sons and my daughter. As you know, before Michael got shot, I was showing him around the warehouse. And I told him that this was a legitimate place. At first, he didn't believe me. And then I said to him, you know, I'm doing this for you, your brother, and your sister. And he had this look in his eye. You know what it was?
Sonny: Pride. Because that's -- he wanted to believe that's who his father was. I'm doing this for Michael. So, I can keep, you know, his brother and sister safer. You think I'm going back on that?
Kate: I donít.
Sonny: I'm trying to carve a new life for me and my kids. And I need you in it.
Jax: I want this marriage to work. But I get the feeling that I am more invested in this than you are.
Carly: That's not true.
Jax: I'm no expert on marriage. I mean, I've been divorced a few times. You know that. But hopefully, I've learned a few things along the way. I mean, whatever life throws at us, we have to be able to lean on each other with complete trust. You choose Sonny and Jason to lean on.
Carly: Oh, Jax, we just keep going around in circles.
Jax: Then why don't we meet each other half way? I mean, if you want this marriage to work, Carly, you have to fight for it.
Carly: I don't want to lose you.
Jax: Because you love me or because you've lost so much already?
Carly: Both. Is that honest enough for you?
Jax: Well, that's a start.
Carly: We vowed to be together for better or for worse. And I meant every word, and I still do. I'm ready to fight for us, Jax. Are you going to fight with me?
Anthony: This is as far as you drag me.
Trevor: Let's go, Tony. The fire trucks are coming. I just don't know how much can be saved.
Anthony: Shut up. You go meet them. Make sure they don't run over Mariaís roses.
Trevor: You've got much bigger worries than the roses, my friend.
Anthony: Will you go? Go. And if you see the monkey, find out where the hell he's been. Someone's going to pay for this.
>> On the next "General Hospital" --
Carly: I will fight for you.
Nikolas: I think there's a lot more to you.
Anthony: Put that guy in the ground!
Sonny: You've got to fix things.
Jason: That's not your call to make. I do not work for you anymore.
