Tracy: How come you always show up when I don't want to see you?
Luke: Tracy, you know that isn't true.
Tracy: It is true. Our marriage is over.
Trevor: With all due respect, Claudia, you don't know the players. The five families up here never even heard that Anthony Zacchara had a daughter.
Claudia: Well, then it's about time they did. I'm particularly interested in meeting this Sonny Corinthos. I can't quite picture him in my mind, but from what I've heard, I'm fascinated already.
Sonny: Oh, man.
[Knock on door]
Max: Boss, you wanted me to do something for you?
Sonny: Yeah. I need you to go pick up Michael from school, bring him here.
Jason: I got your message. What's up?
Sonny: Uh -- I need you to find somebody.
Jax: How is the beautiful, glowing mother of my child doing?
Carly: Good, good. I have an appointment with Dr. Lee later, but I couldn't wait to start thinking about decorating the nursery.
Jax: How come your car's not out front?
Carly: Oh, I had it sent to the shop so I could get the damage repaired.
Jax: Damage? I thought you just scratched it. What'd you hit?
Elizabeth: I didn't know you were conscious.
Sam: Where am I? What happened?
Elizabeth: It's okay, you're at general hospital.
Sam: What do you mean? What's happening?
Elizabeth: You were hit. You were found in the middle of the road.
Sam: What do you mean, "hit"?
Elizabeth: By a car. It was a hit-and-run.
Elizabeth: Do you have any idea who did this to you?
Nikolas: Robin? I -- I'm sorry I missed the consultation earlier. I just had a bit of -- a bit of car trouble. I promise I'll be there later today, okay? I don't think I should drive again.
Emily: Yeah, I'm glad. Nikolas, I'm so worried about you.
Nikolas: Huh. Coming from you, that's almost funny.
Emily: Yeah. I love you.
Nikolas: I love you, too. I missed you last night.
Emily: I thought you needed to be alone.
Nikolas: Independent thought, independent action -- how is that even possible with a hallucination?
Emily: I don't know.
Nikolas: So I found my car -- what's left of it anyway -- the chop shop, lower Southside. I still don't know where I left it, but the shop got busted. There was enough of my car there for someone to contact me, but it doesn't matter, I don't remember. It's probably good that I don't know what I did in a rage behind the wheel last night. I don't think I could stand feeling responsible for hurting anyone else.
Sam: What are you doing here? You don't care what happens to me. You're obviously not even on duty. I want Lucky -- oh, I want -- please get me Lucky. I want to talk to him.
Elizabeth: I'm going to get you a doctor.
Sam: No, I want Lucky!
Sonny: We need to get a lead on this guy, Moreau. I want to know what he's transporting, why he's so mysterious, and what his interests are in Port Charles. Are you here, or -- because -- what are you doing?
Jason: No, I'm here -- yeah, I'm here.
Sonny: But when you're looking down at the thing --
Jason: Okay, I get men looking for Moreau, I got men at the monastery where Lulu was held -- there's nothing. It's like he doesn't exist.
Sonny: You know what? If you had a muzzle on Johnny Zacchara while I was gone and -- and, you know, figured out what was -- what was on the boat besides Luke Spencerís daughter -- you know, every time I try to -- I have a chance to just knock him off, something gets in the way.
Jason: Maybe that should tell you something.
Sonny: What is it going to tell me? Are you trying to tell me something?
Jason: Sonny, I'm just saying maybe we should do nothing at this point and see what happens. You're too upset about Kate.
Sonny: I'm not upset about Kate. I'm just trying to -- you know, I'm getting back in business; I don't want to let things alone for a while. Are you busy or -- or what?
Sonny: I went to visit Anthony Zacchara, and for a head on a stick, he still -- he's still present enough to know what's coming down. I want to know what it is because I don't want to be surprised.
Trevor: You got plenty of time to meet Sonny Corinthos.
Claudia: Could this room be any more dark and depressing? No wonder my father went crazy here.
Trevor: Claudia, you g to take my lead in things like this. Corinthos is a sociopath -- you get to meet him in the wrong time, at the wrong place, you end up dead.
Claudia: You know the biggest mistake you, Sonny Corinthos, or anyone can make? To think that I can be taken off-guard that easily. I canít. Jot this down on your to-do list, Trev. I want that red painting from the parlor brought in for the east wall, where it can get the west sun. I want someone to keep fresh flowers in here at all times. Get some drapes that didn't come from the mortuary, will you? Ahem. And most importantly, call that meeting with the five families, let them know that absenteeism will be cause for reprisal.
Trevor: Claudia -- Claudia? What do you want me to tell them about you?
Claudia: Nothing. It'll be a nice surprise.
Trevor: Not wise. That's being reckless.
Claudia: So are you by arguing with me.
Johnny: Looks like you got more than you bargained for.
Trevor: Ha-ha. Johnny, I'm a patient man. Your sister needs to be kept in line, and you're going to help me do it.
Jax: I wanted the car, Carly. I mean, I --
Carly: Look, we're really busy right now, okay -- the new hotel in Hawaii, we're working on the spa here -- oh, did I mention we're having a baby?
Jax: Yes, but what does that have to do with doing a rush job on the car?
Carly: Look, I just -- you know, I don't want the scratches to get rusty. It's no big deal, okay?
Jax: Look, Carly, I don't care if you totaled the car, as long as you and the baby are okay -- and you didn't mow anyone down in the crosswalk.
Carly: I just --
Jax: Ooh, that's nice. Green and gold, I like that.
Carly: You're so Australian.
Carly: Look, I -- you know, I'm going to have lots of appointments, lots of things to do with the baby. You're just going to have to take me everywhere I go, okay?
Jax: I -- you're acting weird, okay?
Carly: Maybe I'm acting pregnant.
Jax: No. You're scared of something. You want to tell me what it is?
Luke: So, what are you doing down here, reliving the good times? We did have some fun running this joint, didn't we?
Tracy: I'm actually looking for a place to live. Monica may have thrown me out of the house and frozen my assets, but I still own this place.
Luke: It's funny how that happened, isn't it? It's almost like we knew that we would need this place someday.
Luke: I want to take you down into one of the staterooms, and live on love and free food from Kellyís, and just play like we're young and starting out -- roughing it.
Tracy: Oh -- I have roughed it with you, Luke, it's all I've ever done.
Luke: We could put together a nice living with each other, Tracy.
Tracy: Until when? Until I win the malpractice suit and you can ride the gravy train again? Luke, I helped you kidnap Laura, I let you live off of me.
Luke: And love you.
Tracy: Like that's an honor? Like it's even exclusive? Now, I know you're not going to tell me, but where did you go when you snuck out of the hospital -- after weeks of running me ragged while you tried to die?
Luke: Does it really matter? Would details hurt any less?
Luke: You see, that's what I'm talking about right now.
Tracy: I've missed you -- just not enough.
Carly: Yes, I'm scared. I'm afraid, and I don't want to be -- that's the thing.
Jax: Why don't you tell me? Is there something with the baby?
Carly: No, no. As far as I know, the baby's fine and I want to keep it that way, okay?
Carly: It's something Jason told me.
Jax: Oh -- oh! Is it something to do with Sonny again?
Carly: No, no, it has nothing to do with Sonny.
Jax: When are we going to get some rest about this --
Carly: Stop! It has nothing to do with Sonny, okay, stop! Jason has reason to believe that the killer is still out there.
Logan: Someday I want to see you in a necklace of rubies.
Logan: I get laid up like this and I think back to the war, and sometimes the stuff you see when you're not in action -- it's just as tough to take. Everybody talks about the deaths of our men in Iraq, but nobody else thinks about the other people who suffered -- the women, especially. It's like they were in a constant state of mourning for their own lives, floating like shadows by mounds of bodies containing their dead husbands, children, brothers. I used to close my eyes at night and try to -- try to get rid of those images, but they were like scars I -- so anyway, I would -- uh -- instead, I would imagine the -- the girl that I would love one day that would get rid of those scars. I used to imagine her in a tall field of grass or wheat, her hair moving and blowing in the same direction across her face, always hiding it from me. But her eyes -- they were the same color, like an amber. And around her neck, a string of red -- red stones. I used to try so hard to see her face but I never could -- till I met you. I thought I would have to go through girl after girl to find her, but itís you.
Nikolas: Oh, God, I -- I know what you're about to say.
Emily: You would never hurt me.
Nikolas: If that's true, I didn't protect you, either. If someone else came in the ballroom that night, I -- I should've been able to stop them, I should've been able to keep you safe, keep you alive. I -- I keep trying to see someone there, Emily, but I -- I just canít.
Emily: Yeah, well, maybe there's a reason, Nikolas. Maybe it's someone so unexpected that --
Nikolas: Stop making excuses for me.
Emily: You know what I'd like to do, Nikolas? I'd like to try and make you laugh again.
Nikolas: Lesley said the same thing. Yeah, I went to see Spencer today, but I couldn't stay. You know why? Because he kept picking up on all the pain inside me.
Emily: Maybe we need to end the pain.
Nikolas: No. No, you know what that means.
Nadine: Ah, Nikolas.
Nikolas: Nadine, hello.
Nadine: Oh -- I interrupted you and Emily, didn't I?
Sam: I knew you'd come.
Nadine: We were really worried about you at the hospital last night.
Nikolas: It's what hospitals get paid to do, I guess.
Nadine: Oh, come on. I thought we were past this awkward stage.
Nikolas: Excuse me?
Emily: She means me.
Nadine: I mean, you talking to Emily all those times at the hospital -- how normal I thought it was?
Nikolas: Oh, right, because of your -- your grandmother?
Emily: Her aunt.
Nadine: My Aunt Rayleen. I guess it's a big thing these days, actually -- "whisperers" I think they call them. Horses and dogs, ghosts --
Nikolas: Emily's not a ghost.
Nadine: Of course she isnít. She's an extension of you and the love you shared. Love's a lot stronger than most people realize. It bridges all kinds of distances.
Nikolas: How do you make it stay?
Nadine: I don't know. My aunt would probably -- wait, you can see Emily, can't you?
Lulu: We shouldn't do this.
Logan: I can't think of a reason why not.
Lulu: No, Logan, stop.
Logan: Come on, we want this. Come on.
Lulu: Logan -- Logan, I said no!
Trevor: She wants a meeting with the five families -- just like that. Well, you know, the last time we had a similar tÍte-ŗ-tÍte, it turned into a disaster because of you. Now, if she walks in there like that --
Johnny: If she walks in there, she's going to leave the same wreckage behind her that I did, only she won't have to use a baseball bat.
Trevor: And that's a serious problem.
Johnny: That's your problem. You're the one that brought Claudia here to replace me as head of this family so you can continue to call the shots.
Trevor: No, Johnny, I brought her here to help you because you wouldn't listen. And if she makes the same mistake, she's going to end up getting hurt.
Johnny: That's not going to happen.
Trevor: Isn't this ironic -- that I want you to be the rational one and talk to her? But she's going to listen to you because she's got a soft spot.
Johnny: Yeah, well, it looks like she lost that, too, when she left. I mean, I remember gifts every once in a while for birthdays or Christmas till I was, what, 9, and then nothing -- oh, except for my father trying to shoot me and winding up killing my mother in the process. I don't know, maybe Claudia got out at the right time. I just wish she'd taken me with her.
Sonny: You want the day off? Because I need you to find out what you can about Alcazar's old waterfront property.
Jason: Well, Skyeís gone.
Sonny: Then you need to find her and make her an offer. I mean, you wasted Alcazar for her, right? She owes us.
Jason: Why -- why do you keep holding that?
Sonny: It's nothing. It's just somebody I may -- I may need you to find.
Jason: "Somebody" not Kate?
Sonny: Not Kate.
Jason: I'd think the last thing you'd want is another woman right now.
Sonny: Where -- where did that come from?
Jason: Excuse me, I got to -- I got to take this. Hey.
Elizabeth: I need to see you.
Jason: Yeah, me, too.
Elizabeth: Can we meet at the house?
Jason: Yeah. On my way. I have to take care of something.
Sonny: Okay, first of all, we're not done.
Jason: All right, Sonny, I need to take care of this. I'll -- I'll be back.
Sonny: No, no, we're not done.
Jason: I'll be back.
Sonny: We're not done!
Sam: There is so much that I am sorry for, so much I would love to do over again.
Lucky: I'm in charge of your case. I intend to find out who did this to you, but I -- I need you to be honest with me.
Sam: "Honest"? So, what, you're already geared up not to believe me?
Lucky: I already have a suspect.
Sam: You think you know who hit me?
Lucky: Why don't you tell me what happened?
Sam: After I left your place, I -- I went down by the docks just so I could get some air. And I got a text message. Then I called you, and you didn't believe me. And as soon as I hung up the phone, I got another text message, and it said that "I can see you, can you see me?", And I thought somebody was joking around with me. So I started saying something -- I'm not -- I don't remember -- I don't remember what I was saying. I just know in the end I said that the text message killer is dead. And immediately I got another text message saying "No, you are." Which led me to believe that he was close enough, that he could hear me, and then he just sort of came out of nowhere.
Sam: No! Help! Get off me!
Sam: And I started running, and I ran -- I think it was down to Elm Street -- and I saw this house, this place. Help!
Sam's voice: I went up to the door and I started pounding on the door, and I was yelling for somebody to help me, and he came up from behind.
Sam: No! No!
Sam's voice: There was a struggle.
Sam: Get off me!
Sam's voice: And he fell down the stairs, and I thought he was unconscious. I went to rip off his mask --
Sam's voice: And then he grabbed me. I got away, and I -- I started running again, and I thought it would be smart if I tried to head to the police station, so I tried to cut across old Route 9. And he caught up to me and there was a struggle, and I hit him and -- I don't know. The next thing I know, there was -- there was headlights.
Lucky: The last person you remember seeing was your attacker. What happened to him after you were hit?
Sam: I don't know -- maybe he was scared off by the car.
Lucky: But he was trying to kill you?
Sam: Yeah, I would say so. But I think he was hurt. I don't -- I know when I was fighting him, I connected to his side twice, so whoever he is, he's got to be hurt. I don't -- unless, of course, you do not believe there's anybody.
Logan: I'm sorry.
Lulu: "Sorry" does not even cover it, just stay away.
Logan: I just wanted to make love --
Lulu: And I said no! What is wrong with you?
Logan: What is wrong with you?
Lulu: Nothing is wrong with me! You're the one sitting there talking about the image of -- of loving this girl, and then you start pawing me!
Logan: Okay -- now that is not true, okay? You were getting into it, too.
Lulu: Oh -- "getting into it"?
Logan: Look, you know what I mean.
Lulu: Yeah, I know what I felt, and it was terrible.
Logan: I'm trying to explain it, okay, but I'm sorry I don't always have the polished words like your friend Johnny.
Lulu: This has nothing to do with Johnny and me! This has to do with me and you, and you not listening, or you not hearing me and not giving a damn anyway!
Logan: That -- that is not true! That is not true, Lulu, I got a little pushy.
Lulu: Oh, is that what you call it when you force yourself on someone who doesn't want you?
Logan: So you admit it -- you don't want me?
Lulu: Don't you dare twist my words. I said "stop" and you didnít.
Logan: What am I supposed to do? Okay, that -- that's the problem with you -- you run so hot and cold all the time, I can't keep up. What am I supposed to do, just sit in a corner like a dog and wait on you to call me?
Lulu: That is not -- that's not fair!
[Pounding on door]
Logan: Go away!
Lulu: Don't you dare order people around; this is not your house!
Scott: Oh, hey, Lulu. Um, is Lucky around?
Lulu: He's not here -- you can consider me gone, too.
Claudia: Hey, where you going in such a hurry?
Johnny: Nowhere -- let's be honest, that's exactly where my life is headed.
Claudia: What are you talking about? John, look at you -- I think you turned out okay, in spite of everything.
Johnny: Yeah, well, looks can be deceiving, can't they, Claudia? I can't drive without going 40 miles over the speed limit, I jump off of buildings, I even blow up family ships, and look -- barely a scratch on the outside. It's messed up. But you want to know what's even more messed up? I like it. I like seeing how far I can push life, I like going for that rush. Maybe that's exactly how it started with Dad, huh? He wanted a taste of something wild, but he just couldn't satisfy it, so he went crazy in the process.
Claudia: I don't think that's how it happened.
Johnny: You wouldn't know; you weren't here.
Claudia: Well, it's not going to happen to you.
Johnny: And you don't know the answer to that, either, because I'm willing to bet you're not going to stick around long enough to see it out.
Claudia: I didn't just leave, John. I was sent away -- and you didn't say goodbye. I tried; you didn't even want to talk to me. Look, I don't know if you remember this or not, but when you were little, one year for your birthday, I bought you one of those little toy pianos. You used to bang at it all the time until your mother sat you down at the real one? Anyway, you kept it on a shelf in your room, and the day that I left, I came in, I said, "Hey, John, I love you." And you picked up that toy piano and smashed it up against your dresser until it was in splinters. And I left. I've always wondered if you still play.
Nadine: I know you probably don't want to tell me now because you're afraid I'll think you're crazy, but it happens to more people than you think -- people with open minds and open hearts. I wish it could happen to me. Are you just going to stand there and let me keep going on and on, or are you going to tell me -- can you see Emily?
Nikolas: What -- yes, yes! Yes, I can see her. Now, I don't know what to think about it. I -- she was just standing there at Wyndemere, in her ball gown. I can see her, I can hear her, I can touch her! Then I started seeing her at the hospital, and every other place, for that matter -- like it's the most natural thing in the world. I don't -- she comes and goes as she pleases -- or as I please, I guess. I don't understand it.
Nadine: She comes when your heart needs you to see her.
Nikolas: It has nothing to do with my heart -- it's in my head, it's in my brain. She's not -- she's not real. She's not real; she's just a byproduct of this tumor that's growing inside my head, the same thing that's causing all these rages and blackouts. You know what happens? If I get this cut out, you know what happens? I lose her. That's torture. So you tell me how life can be this cruel.
Nadine: I just can't believe you'd be this much of an idiot.
Luke: If I am this useless lowlife that you want nothing more to do with, why the malpractice suit? Why spit where you eat?
Tracy: Because I told Monica she was in no condition to operate on you, and she did it anyway and I almost lost you. Of course, I lost you anyway, because Skye helped you slip past all of us on the very day -- the very day you were due to be released from the hospital to my care. So much for all your talk about marrying me being the smartest thing you ever did in your life. Luke Spencer, you have hurt me for the very last time. I am sick to death of trying to mean more to you than you want me to. And by the way, I can't live here -- there's too many memories.
Luke: We're such a good team, Tracy, we are. And face it, who's going to have us but us?
Tracy: Just going to have to find out.
Luke: You should know me well enough to know that I don't give up that easily.
Nadine: Go ahead, have another one of your blackout temper tantrums. I'm just going to say the same thing.
Nikolas: I think -- I think this conversation needs to end right here.
Nadine: And I think you need to wake up. You've been given a gift.
Nikolas: "A gi--" no. No, what I have been given is a piece of hell, okay? My fiancťe is dead, and now it's in my hands to kill her all over again.
Nadine: Wasting every precious second in the meantime.
Nikolas: What -- I'm sorry, what -- what?
Nadine: Do you know how many people would give anything for just 10 more seconds with someone they lost so suddenly and tragically? Just to be able to tell them what they meant to you, or what they'd always mean. And here you are, literally walking around with the woman you love, moaning into your beer about how she's going to be taken away from you again. She's already taken.
Nikolas: Yeah, maybe by me.
Nadine: What does Emily say about her death?
Nikolas: She says I would never hurt her, but she's a hallucination. I have to rationalize that, you understand?
Nadine: There was a killer loose on that island, Nikolas -- two of them, in fact -- so why would you bring this on yourself? Why would you continue to blame yourself instead of spending each and every precious moment remembering what was good and beautiful about what you had together? Yeah, it's temporary, but isn't it better than having no time with her at all?
Carly: You know, when Coop died, I thought this was all over.
Jax: Well, does Jason have any real proof that it isn't?
Jax: Do the police?
Jax: So Jason's just going on, what, instinct?
Carly: You know what? He wouldn't tell me everything, but you know what? He wouldn't have told me anything at all unless I had a reason to be worried. And I was really rattled at first, but now I'm really freaked out because I'm pregnant, and I can't be running around town with a gun in my hand and a chip on my shoulder.
Jax: Oh -- you don't know how happy it makes me to hear you say that. Really. You know, I mean, I'm going to be a lot happier knowing that you're at home, armed with a warm bottle of milk in your hand, a little baby girl on your hip.
Carly: You think that I'm going to have a girl?
Jax: Oh, I just have a feeling.
Carly: Based on what?
Jax: Based on the fact that you're not going to allow any more male energy into this house.
Jax: Do you want me to check it?
Carly: It's my mom.
Jax: It's your mom.
Carly: Yeah. Wow, I don't want to start feeling this kind of anxiety, that's for sure.
Jax: Hey, don't worry, okay? Don't forget, you've got three strapping young lads living in this house to protect you.
Carly: Thank you.
Sonny: Sit down. Thanks for picking him up. You know why I asked Max to pick you up from school, bring you here?
Michael: I can guess -- Jason told you, didn't he?
Sonny: You mean about this? Did you think Jason wasn't going to tell me?
Michael: Better you than Mom.
Sonny: Why would you say that?
Michael: Because she'll get all weird and crazy.
Sonny: She has every right to.
Sonny: Why? Because your mom and I have done everything we can to make sure that you're -- you're happy and safe and you have a good life.
Michael: What if I want my own life?
Sonny: Does that mean having a gun?
Michael: I heard Jason tell Mom that he thinks the killer is still out there. I want to protect her.
Sonny: There are better ways for you to do that, Michael.
Sonny: You don't go anywhere near a gun, that's final. Promise me that.
Michael: Only if you promise me that the killer will never get in our house again.
Scott: So what just happened between you and Lulu?
Logan: Look, I already got it from Lulu; I don't need it from you, too.
Scott: Well, now, maybe you did something to deserve it.
Logan: Yeah -- I tried to kiss her. Is that a crime? I tried to get some kind of commitment out of her and, you know, it just -- got out of hand.
Scott: What do you mean, "got out of hand"?
Logan: I mean I -- I got a little -- I got a little aggressive, I, you know, came on a little strong.
Scott: How aggressive did you get?
Logan: Enough to make the girl freak out -- you saw her.
Scott: Well, that's strike two.
Logan: What does that mean?
Scott: It means that when I want something or someone, I go after it with a vengeance. Now, since you're my son, you know, maybe you got that gene. Usually people get hurt -- like with Spencer when I wanted custody of Laura.
Logan: Yes, yes, I know about the court thing.
Scott: Yeah, well, okay, secrets came out, and everybody tried to protect Lulu. But in the end, she ended up at the courthouse, and she saw me pulling out of Nikolas that her mother was raped by her father.
Johnny: You're missing the minor keys -- that's what makes the song sound so damn lonely.
Nadine: You need this operation, and the longer you wait, the longer you risk winding up dead, and I know Emily wouldn't want that for you. You have a son and you have a life, so stop wasting it. Stop wasting whatever message that Emily or your love is trying to send you, and stop torturing yourself. You know, I have officially shot my mouth off like a blowtorch in a box of fireworks -- sorry. Promise not to tell anyone about this -- people think I'm weird enough already. I don't need them looking at me like I'm a carrier.
Nikolas: Hey -- thank you.
Nadine: I'll see you at General Hospital.
Emily: She's right. Nikolas, don't waste me! Come on, you remember when you used to chase me around the gazebo for a taste of ice cream?
Nikolas: It was a lie -- it was just an excuse to kiss you.
Emily: Yeah, well, you don't need excuses anymore. Come on.
Emily: Nikolas, come on, time's wasting. Can you feel it?
Johnny: See -- it's lonely.
Lulu: No, it's not. It's more like a sad, beautiful yearning.
Claudia: You need to let up on Johnny.
Trevor: Huh. Aren't you suddenly the devoted sister? You know, it's against my instincts, but I set up a meeting with the five families, and I'm going with you.
Claudia: Aren't you suddenly the devoted lawyer?
Trevor: No, I'm going to back you up because you're going to need me. No telling what Sonny's going to do when he sees you -- and he's not going to cut you any slack because you're a woman.
Claudia: Good -- I'm not going to cut him any slack because I'm a woman, either. It should be a very interesting meeting.
Sonny: I'm not sure Jason has proof that this guy is still out there.
Michael: That doesn't mean he isnít.
Sonny: You know what? You touch a gun, you're punished.
Michael: Punishment is something for kids.
Sonny: Michael, you know what? You think you're a man, right? Okay, but you're not. You're a kid, mostly a good one; I want you to stay that way. Are we clear on that?
Michael: Can I go now?
