Mac: That D.N.A. test is going to I.D. my daughter's killer. Find whatever rock Johnny Zacchara crawled under, and get ready to make the arrest when the results come in.
Det. Harper: If Johnny Zacchara's D.N.A. matches the skin cells they took from under Georgie's fingernails, I will personally hunt him down, Mac. But you -- you need to keep some distance. You don't want to do anything that will jeopardize this conviction.
Mac: I'll settle for justice.
Mac: You already pulled your shift. What are you still doing here?
Coop: Well, I decided to stay a couple hours and cover for Lucky -- he's taking a few personal days.
Mayor Floyd: A maniac held the hospital emergency room hostage. I want to know what the D.A. is doing to make sure that he's put behind bars.
Mac: Ric seems to be unreachable.
Mayor Floyd: Well. In that case, maybe you should be appointed as special prosecuting attorney.
Scott: I think that's a good idea --
Alexis: Yeah, well, that won't be necessary, because Ric's asked me to fill in for him as D.A. while he's out of town, and I think that's probably a good idea. From what I can see, you two are not the solution, you're the problem.
Scott: Oh --
Mayor Floyd: Great.
Lulu: Well, I was on the docks last night and I saw -- um -- an accident, and I was wondering if -- there was this guy -- early 20s, dark hair -- was he in the E.R.?
Leyla: I don't remember anyone matching that description.
Lulu: He -- he could've been hurt really badly, so bad that he didn't even know what happened.
Leyla: No. I'm sorry.
Tracy: I needed a lift. So, did you happen to know that your father skipped out of the hospital just before he was going to be released?
Lulu: No.
Tracy: In his condition -- particularly after the hatchet job that Monica did on him -- he's not going to make it five miles -- five blocks if he passes a liquor store or a strip club.
Lulu: I can't believe he did this.
Tracy: I can't, either. How was your visit with your mother?
Lulu: It was fine. Hmm.
Tracy: Really?
Lulu: Yeah.
Tracy: The facility said you never showed up. Where were you?
Logan: She was with me.
Elizabeth: I feel wrung out.
Leo: How did you sleep?
Elizabeth: I didn’t.
Leo: You know, I can give you something if you want, like, a light sedative might help.
Elizabeth: No, no, I -- I doze off and I have these dreams, and I just feel like something terrible is going to happen. I don't -- I don't want to sleep.
Leo: Look, you need some rest.
Elizabeth: What I need is to get my mind off of things. Can I at least get some paper and a pencil, something?
Leo: Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's not a problem. I'll see what I can scrounge up for you.
Elizabeth: It is the 22nd, isn't it?
Carly: Now, you know damn well it is.
Leo: All right, well, you rest, and I'll -- I'll be back in a bit.
Elizabeth: Hmm, thanks.
Carly: As if you needed to ask. I'm sure you've been counting down the days. Yes, it's Jason's birthday, and I know the perfect present for him, what he would like more than anything -- to spend it with his son.
[Knock on door]
Sam: Lucky?
Lucky: I'll be right there.
Sam: Uh -- I -- I hope you don't mind me just walking in like this. Hi.
Lucky: Hey.
Sam: It's -- it's just been a while since we've had a chance to talk, and I was thinking that maybe if you're not busy --
Lucky: Well, actually, I kind of got my hands full.
Jason: What do you want?
Trevor: You got five seconds to tell me where Johnny is -- and he better be alive.
Logan: Hi. Lulu and I wanted to spend some time alone, and that's why I made that story up about her going to see her mother. And it was great, a great time.
Lulu: Yeah, yeah, like no other time we've had together. But I feel really bad. Maybe I -- I could've been here and talked my dad out of it.
Logan: Has anyone ever been able to talk that man out of doing anything?
Lulu: No, but this time it's different. He's in really bad shape, and -- and given the places that he goes, he could really be hurt and no one would even know.
Tracy: Well, it's not going to happen again -- and you need to start coming home.
Lulu: She's right about that part.
Logan: Well, Lulu, I just wanted to stop by and see if you were okay. I know you didn't get a lot of sleep at my place last night. Every time I woke up, you were staring out the window -- then you were gone.
Lulu: I wanted to see my dad.
Logan: Or you wanted to come see if Johnny made it to the E.R.
Lulu: That, too.
Logan: I still think we should go to the cops, Lulu.
Lulu: I said no. We listen to Jason, and we leave it alone.
Logan: Yeah, well, if you're going to do that, it's going to require you leaving Johnny on his own. Can you do that?
Jerry: Well, hello. I was looking for --
Woman: Whatever it is, we got your bases covered.
Jerry: I'm sure you do, darling.
Woman: Hmm.
Man: Come in. Jade was just leaving.
Woman: It's Hasmine.
Man: What I paid, I can call you anything I want.
Jerry: And what does she call you?
Man: I think the word "God" escaped her lips a few times.
[Man chuckles]
Man: What should I call you? "Jerry"? "Mr. Moreau"? "Mr. Craig"?
Jerry: Why don't we skip the name-calling altogether?
Man: Or why don't I just call you what you are -- complete and utter disappointment?
Jason: I don't know where Johnny is.
Trevor: That's not the answer I was looking for.
[Guns cock]
Max: How's this for an answer?
Trevor: Put it down. A Zacchara ship was blown up in the harbor last night.
Jason: That's right -- traveling illegally through our lanes.
Trevor: Maybe the captain thought that he was in neutral waters.
Jason: Or maybe you thought you'd sneak something through while Sonny was out of town.
Trevor: My sources tell me that somebody matching your description was onboard that ship right up until the time it exploded. Are they wrong?
Jason: My sources say that you had a kidnapped girl and her boyfriend on the ship. Are they wrong?
Trevor: I don't know anything about that.
Jason: I didn't set any explosions.
Trevor: Johnny's still missing.
Jason: Maybe he doesn't want to be found. We're done.
Trevor: If that kid is harmed --
Jason: You pushed him into this, Trevor. You're the one who did it, Johnny wants peace.
Trevor: You're wrong. Johnny wants to give you and your boss the benefit of the doubt, because he knows that you attacked that ship --
Jason: Maybe you didn't hear me. We're done.
Trevor: Oh, no, Sir. We're just getting started.
Jason: I want you to keep searching for Johnny Zacchara.
Max: Well, is it such a bad thing if he never shows up again?
Jason: You still see him as the enemy, Max?
Max: Jason, so does the boss.
Jason: I see him as a kid trying to fight his way out of his dad's reputation -- that's what I see.
Sam: Oh, no. No, I woke him up. I didn't mean to make things more difficult for you -- any more difficult than I already have.
Lucky: No, he hasn't slept more than an hour since I brought him straight home from the hospital.
Sam: Well, I think that's to be expected. You know, he -- he had smoke inhalation and -- it's no wonder --
Lucky: You know what? I drove him around, you know? It always used to work getting him to sleep as a last resort. But I couldn't even get him to sleep. I swear, I must've put 300 miles on my car, sung every lullaby I know. Yeah.
Sam: Hi. Well, I think he's probably a little unsettled being shuffled around so much.
Lucky: Yeah, well, every child needs to know where his home is. That's what my mom always used to tell my dad. She was always determined to make sure -- sure that Lulu didn't grow up restless -- you know, always on the run like I did. She used to, like, take one of my dad's shirts like this -- oh -- and then she'd wrap her up and rub on her back, take her around, take her over to her crib, show her her toys, all the familiar things in the house. See, this -- this is your crib. These are all your toys, and this is your home -- a place you can always come back to, a place you'll always feel safe.
Sam: This is probably really, really bad timing, given everything, but, Lucky, I have really missed you.
Elizabeth: We've already been over this.
Carly: We're going to keep going over it until I convince Jason to go after custody of his son.
Elizabeth: I told you -- Jason, Lucky, and I all came to an agreement.
Carly: That's because you talked them into doing what you wanted them to do.
Elizabeth: To keep Jake safe from Jason's enemies.
Carly: I'm sorry, but how is he safe with you, given that he almost died in a fire? How did that happen on your watch?
Elizabeth: Does it really matter, Carly?
Carly: Yeah, it does. See, I've done some checking. Turns out that your first bastard son obviously likes to play with matches, and given you got yourself stuck outside, while Jason's son was stuck upstairs in the crib while the house was catching on fire.
Elizabeth: Don't you think I feel bad enough as it is?
Carly: No, I don't, at all. So when I corner a lawyer to fight for custody, I may look into having you declared an unfit mother and have your son taken from you -- permanently.
Elizabeth: How can you be this hateful?
Carly: It's hateful to want Jake with his real father?
Elizabeth: He is not your child. You do not get to make decisions for my son and his father. The decisions have already been made.
Carly: All by you.
Elizabeth: By all of us so that Jake doesn't have to live his life in fear.
Carly: Don't you mean so you don't have to live your life in fear?
Elizabeth: Yeah, you're right. I don't want to have to be scared for my children the way you are. Go to therapy, Carly, get some help, figure out why you're so obsessed with this whole thing. In the meantime, just let it go.
Jax: Now, how did I just know I'd find you in here, hmm? How you doing?
Elizabeth: I'm fine.
Jax: That was a very brave thing you did -- going into a burning building to rescue your son. Your children are in very good hands.
Elizabeth: Thank you, Jax.
Jax: And we should all do whatever we can to keep them that way, hmm? Don't you agree? I know, and it'll go no further. Isn't that right?
Carly: We should get going. We have to plan Jason's birthday party. Is there a message I should give him?
Jax: Feel better.
Jason: Yeah, Sonny. Listen, Trevor is pretty much being Trevor. If Johnny doesn't turn up soon, things are really going to start to escalate. Call me when you get this. Okay, Lulu, I told you --
Lulu: To stay out of this, but I can't, okay? I haven't heard from Johnny. For all I know, he could've died from that explosion on the boat. He could be out there in the water half dead. But you have warehouse pilot boats, and we'll go find him.
Jason: No, Johnny has his own people for that.
Lulu: Johnny stayed behind to blow up his own ship and whatever it was carrying. What else does he have to do to prove he's not his father, that he's not going to sit there and do whatever Trevor wants him to?
Jason: I've already got Max and Milo keeping their ears and eyes open -- that's all I can do. That's all I should even be doing for you at this point. I'm in a tough situation. Sonny is out for blood, Trevor is making any excuse he can to wage war -- stop giving it to him, okay?
Lulu: I didn't do anything, Jason. That creep Moreau had me grabbed so that Johnny could ship something over the border. He didn't even know what it was, he doesn't want anything to do with it. He did not have to stay behind and prove something to Moreau and Trevor by blowing everything up -- he wants to get out of this mess.
Jason: Stop helping him. Don't encourage him. If Johnny survived this, the best thing you can do for him and yourself is stay away.
Felicia: I've got an angle that I want to go over with you about Georgie.
Mac: We can talk in the interrogation room. I'll be right there. Make sure we're not disturbed for any reason.
Coop: Sure.
Officer: Commissioner wanted to see these as soon as possible.
Coop: He asked me to make sure he wasn't disturbed.
Officer: But this is the D.N.A. test matching his daughter's killer.
Coop: I'll make sure he gets it as soon as he's done.
Alexis: You're going to have to take that up with Ric.
Mayor Floyd: Well, I would if I knew where he was.
Alexis: Out of town -- personal time. But if you feel that you have to go whining to him to have me replaced because I intimidate you, be my guest.
Woman: Can I help you?
Ric: I'm sorry; I just used to live here.
Felicia: I have been going over the list of suspects who were attacked by this so-called text message killer.
Mac: I don't want you doing this.
Felicia: I want to. I have to, Mac. I failed my daughters -- one of them is dead, and the other one wishes that I were. I have to do this -- you don't have to worry about me.
Mac: Felicia --
Felicia: No, listen to me. I'm -- I'm not going to let grief cloud my judgment.
Mac: You're not listening to me. I said I do not want you doing this.
Trevor: Alexis? Could we please go somewhere private and talk?
Alexis: I'm sorry; you're going to have to take a seat. And I know that one of your ships blew up in the harbor last night. I don't think you want us to scrutinize that "accident" too closely, do you?
Trevor: I'm looking for my son.
Ric: This house was in my family for generations.
Woman: Oh. It's beautiful.
Ric: You live here?
Woman: Oh, no, I -- I live outside of town. I just check on the place for the owners, pick up whatever mail comes.
Ric: So I guess they're out of town, huh?
Woman: They use it mostly for summer and holidays. Seems such a waste to have something so beautiful and ignored. It's sad inside.
Ric: Yeah, I'd probably have to agree with you.
Lulu: Johnny? Johnny? Johnny! Johnny? Oh -- Johnny? Wake up.
Carly: Hey, Michael.
Michael: Hey.
Carly: Morgan upstairs doing his homework?
Michael: Uh -- I guess so.
Carly: Did you help him wrap Jason's birthday present?
Michael: No, I had things to do.
Jax: Look, we had this talk. You know, he's your brother.
Michael: He's a baby, and I'm not going to be able to take care of him while he's doing baby things. I have my own stuff to do.
Carly: So are you going to show up for Jason's birthday party, or is that just baby stuff?
Michael: I don't know. Jason isn't really into that kind of stuff anyways.
Carly: Wow. Who's that kid, and what has he done with my son?
Jax: He's growing up -- something his mother might consider.
Carly: Really? You've been saving that one up on the silent car ride home?
Jax: I thought you were done meddling with this whole situation with Jason and his son.
Carly: I never said that.
Jax: Anyway, I thought we were concentrating on making our own baby.
Carly: You know what? I can do both.
Jax: Yeah, but you shouldn't Jake is not your child.
Carly: Jason's my best friend, okay?
Jax: Yeah, and Elizabeth is that boy's mother. You've got no right questioning her about this, you know, attacking her, especially while she's laid up in the hospital.
Jason: He's right.
Lulu: Johnny, wake up! Johnny, wake up! Wake up. Oh, my -- Johnny -- Johnny, thank God. Thank God, sit up. Can you sit up? Oh, I need to get you to a doctor -- okay.
Johnny: No. No doctors -- too many questions, g the police involved.
Lulu: Okay, then at least let me call Jason.
Johnny: I don't want you to get anybody, especially Jason.
Lulu: Well, he helped you. He came to the boat, remember?
Johnny: He came to the boat to bail out you and Logan.
Lulu: But he has people looking for you right now.
Johnny: I don't doubt that.
Lulu: Okay, Johnny, let me at least call Trevor.
Johnny: Trevor's the last person I want to see in this condition. I'll choke him when I see him for dragging you into this.
Lulu: You are out of options right now and you need medical attention. Just at least let me see what I can do for you -- some --
Johnny: Why?
Lulu: Because I want to -- and you are in no position to argue with me.
[Jake cries]
[Elizabeth gasps]
Sam: Hey. Have you spoken to your brother or seen him?
Lucky: Well, I tried looking in on him, but he was off having a test and I don't want to crowd him, you know? But after the way he went off on the guy who was threatening to blow up the whole E.R. --
Sam: Yeah, about that guy, Lucky, Joe -- he really is a good guy.
Lucky: Right now he's a good guy who's in a whole lot of trouble.
Sam: Well, that happens to good people. I me, things happen and you get desperate and you do things that you normally wouldn't do, things that you know -- clearly know that aren't right.
Lucky: Are we still talking about Joe the mechanic?
Sam: Yes. I mean, of course. It's just that I -- I know Joe, I understand him. I know -- I know what it's like to struggle and never know when your next dollar is coming. I mean, you -- you just feel so lost, and suddenly you lash out, and you do things that you normally wouldn't do if you would've actually sat and thought it through. I know that you are really angry with me for telling Carly that Jake is really Jason's, and I just -- I really want to apologize, and I need you to know that I mean it. I really, really do. It's just that when it comes to Elizabeth and -- and Carly and Jason, I lose all perspective, and I just feel really hurt and angry, and I don't know why.
Lucky: Have you gotten that out of your system?
Sam: Wow. I mean, it would be nice, wouldn't it?
Lucky: Yeah, it would be.
Sam: I've -- I've got to go. Um -- I've got some scheduling to do for the show and I just -- I -- ahem.
Lucky: You know, if you don't mind mashed peas and canned ravioli, we could, you know, have a late-night dinner together.
Sam: Yeah, I would really like that.
Jason: I see you started telling everybody about Jake.
Carly: It's Jax -- he's not going to say anything.
Jason: I asked you to leave this alone for Jake's safety.
Carly: You're over an hour early for your birthday party.
Jason: You want to give me something for my birthday? Leave Elizabeth alone.
Carly: A new leather jacket would be more practical.
Jax: Yeah, and not to mention more lasting.
[Phone rings]
Jax: Oh, I've got to take this.
Jason: What is all this, Carly?
Carly: I think you should be with your son.
Jason: What is all this?
Carly: I don't know!
Jason: Yes, you do know! No matter how twisted your thinking gets, you know why you do something.
Jason: I have made peace with the fact that Elizabeth and Lucky should raise my son --
Carly: No.
Jason: For Jake's sake, Carly. Yes, it hurts me, but it can't be about me.
Carly: Yes, it can be -- and it should be. I know how badly you want to be a father, and now you have a child and you can't be? It's wrong! It's as unfair as Jax wanting to have a baby and me not being able to give him one!
Jason: So, what, you can't -- you can't give Jax a baby, so you're going to go get my baby for me -- is that what's going on?
Carly: Probably, yes, probably. That's it, right? And I'm sorry, Jason. I am sorry.
Jason: I -- I believe you mean that -- somewhere. What I don't believe is that you'll stop.
Woman: I'd let you in, but I -- I really don't know you.
Ric: It's -- it's okay. I'm not even really sure I want to go inside. I don't even really know what I'm doing here.
Woman: Yeah, I'd say you must have a lot of happy memories here, but I don't --
Ric: But what?
Woman: It's none of my business. People say I talk too much.
Ric: Well, it's okay. You're not with "people" right now, you're -- you're with me. What were you going to say?
Woman: Say that the house isn't the only thing that's sad inside. I forgot something, I –
Man: You let a band of hardy boys ruin everything. The Zacchara ship and all the product that I had onboard is at the bottom of the harbor.
Jerry: Oh, calm down -- I've done damage control. Finch is dead. Brother Franco at the monastery is on an extended leave of absence -- he won't return. No one else saw me, so the holes are being sealed up, and the abbot will deny any wrongdoing if the whole affair's investigated.
Man: What about the girl?
Jerry: Oh, she'll keep her mouth shut to protect Johnny Zacchara.
Man: The power of love. Fortunately, men like us are more interested in the love of power, which would win out if the two were pitted against each other.
Jerry: Spoken like a man who's never been in love.
Man: We'll need to start all over now. We need our own base of operation. What I'm doing is risky enough without getting more involved with people like Sonny Corinthos and the Zaccharas. Work on getting me those piers.
Jerry: You mean "us," don't you?
Man: Of course. For us, old friend -- for now.
Lulu: Hi. I heard what happened. It sounded awful, but you and Jake are okay?
Elizabeth: Yeah, yeah, we'll be okay. I just really miss him.
Lulu: I can see. Um -- I've -- I've also come by because I need a really big favor. It's complicated and personal. Um -- I need something for somebody, but you can't ask a lot of questions.
Elizabeth: Well, you're going to have to give me some idea what it's about.
Lulu: Um -- somebody's hurt, and they can't see a doctor. I -- I can go to a store and I can get bandages, but I might need --
Elizabeth: Some antibiotics?
Lulu: Yeah.
Elizabeth: Okay. Um, there's a supply closet in the E.R.
[Monica sneaks in supply closet and drink from flask and puts vodka in a water bottle]
Lulu: That's all I took. I swear.
Elizabeth: Okay, that's fine. Just be careful, all right? And now I have a favor to ask of you -- and it's personal and complicated and you can't ask me any questions.
Lulu: Happy birthday. And happy birthday from me, too.
Carly: What's going on?
Jax: A problem with the new hotel in Hawaii. The design may have to be altered, so I need to be there. I've already said goodbye to the boys, and, you know, I gave them a speech about behaving for you. But I'd keep a close eye on Michael, you know? He's -- something's up.
Carly: I'm sorry.
Jax: I haven't been out of the room that long. What could you possibly have done?
Carly: I'm sorry that I keep bouncing off the walls when I should be spending more time with you.
Jax: Look, we've managed to spend some quality time together.
Carly: Who knows -- when you come back, maybe we'll have good news.
Jax: Look, whatever happens, I love you. Don't forget that.
Carly: I love you, too. You going to tell me not to meddle?
Jax: Well -- um -- look, something's come up, I have to go. So -- Happy Birthday, and good luck.
Jason: All right.
Carly: I know how much you miss Emily, and I know that you would've done anything to save her and keep her in your life. I just don't want you to have any regrets about giving up your son.
Michael: Jason.
Morgan: Happy Birthday, Uncle Jason.
Jason: Hey, man! Thanks a lot. Come here -- oh, yeah.
Michael: Happy Birthday.
Jason: Thanks, bud. Let's go see what you got me here.
Michael: So, how long is Jax going to be gone?
Carly: Oh, I hope not too long.
Michael: Oh, you don't have to worry. I'll look after you.
Alexis: Okay, so you and the mayor can make a list of all your grievances, and I promise to look them over and put them in order of importance -- which means I'll probably get to you around May. Oh -- look at you. You've got your father's good looks, his charm. Now, if only you have his penchant for self-absorption, it's a trifecta.
Scott: Hey, pay no attention to that crackpot. Listen, I was going to call you.
Logan: Right, you got a job for me?
Scott: Well, I know that you don't want any handouts, so I've got to find something that's not going to make either one of us look bad.
Logan: What are you trying to say, Scott, I got no skills?
Scott: Well, you know, I don't really know that much about you, and I checked your records, and, you know, you kind of barely got out of high school.
Logan: So?
Scott: Well, so if you're trying to impress Lulu, you don't have to do that.
Logan: Oh, I'm supposed to do this to impress you?
Scott: No. What you're supposed to do is find something that you love to do for a job, and when you do, call me.
Mac: You didn't just walk out on the girls. You walked out on me, left me to raise those girls on my own. When they got sick, when they got in trouble, when they had their hearts broken, Felicia, I was the one who was there. I was out of my depths, and I got a lot of it wrong, but I was there! Now Georgie's dead, and I'm going to be the one who finds her killer.
Felicia: And I'm going to be the one to help you!
Mac: There was a time when I would've welcomed it. But I can’t. Not now.
Trevor: Richard, this is your father speaking. Don't overestimate your bargaining position. Sure, Skye gave you those waterfront properties, but did she also give you the alcazar organization to protect you? So, before you go public and tell everybody that you own those properties, perhaps making yourself a target, maybe you would like to call your father first.
Mr. Vaughn: There's no sign he was treated here, either.
Trevor: My gut instinct -- John probably had something to do with what happened last night.
Mr. Vaughn: You really think he blew up his own ship?
Trevor: Well, John is a wild and emotional guy. Then again, perhaps Moreau miscalculated when he kidnapped the girl and tried to force Johnny to tow the line.
Mr. Vaughn: So I guess we can kiss Moreau goodbye as an ally, huh?
Trevor: Not necessarily. Maybe we can still use John's unpredictability. The guy who really stands in our way is the clearheaded strategist -- Jason Morgan.
Mr. Vaughn: Dangerous guy to go after.
Trevor: Everybody's got his weak spot. So let's have some fun and find his.
Carly: He's going to hate the pink one.
[Carly chuckles]
Carly: What do you think?
Michael: He'll love the blue one.
Carly: Another green? Yeah.
Lucky: Say hello. Mrs. Ramirez -- she stopped by. She offered to take care of Cam so we could come by and visit you.
Elizabeth: Oh -- hi, baby! Oh, you have no idea how much I needed this. Mommy missed you so much. How's he sleeping?
Lucky: He was a little out of sorts at first.
Elizabeth: Hi, baby. Are you giving him the new formula?
Lucky: Yeah.
Elizabeth: Okay.
Lucky: You know, he was a little cranky from the hospital and everything that's happened. And then I remembered a little trick my mom used to use to get Lulu to go to sleep, and it did the trick.
Elizabeth: What about his medicine?
Lucky: Twice a day.
Elizabeth: Oh, good.
Lucky: Daddy's got it all covered -- right, Jake?
Lulu: Johnny? Johnny!
Officer: The D.N.A. test came back from the lab.
Mac: Thanks.
Scott: So who'd you run it against besides Zacchara?
Mac: We ran it through the system. If it doesn't match Johnny, it could match --
Scott: What's going -- what's wrong? What's the matter?
Mac: It's empty.
Scott: So somebody who was here today stole the results, Mac.
Mac: Not "somebody" -- my daughter's killer.
Alexis: Tell Kristina I'll bring her a pretzel home. Okay.
>> On the next "General Hospital" --
Leyla: I heard you had an emergency, Dr. Drake.
Nikolas: I've made up my mind. I'm not having this operation.
Jason: I want to be with my son.
Elizabeth: Are you wanting to take Jake?
