Jason: Are you okay?
Elizabeth: I asked you here because I love you and I need to be with you.
Lucky: You're next?
Sam: I -- I really don't recognize the sender's number, nothing.
Lucky: Listen, if it was piggybacked like the rest of the killer's text messages, it could've come from anywhere.
Sam: Okay, that's -- that's great, but what am I supposed to do? Am -- am I supposed to suspect everybody that looks at me? Am I supposed to carry a weapon at this point?
Lucky: No, I don't want you to worry. I'm going to make sure this maniac never gets near you.
Lulu: What's wrong?
Johnny: This can't happen again.
Carly: It's not okay to kill Johnny Zacchara and start some big war, all because you're trying to protect this paper doll here. You stood there and you looked me in the eye and you told me that the Zaccharas target the families of their enemies.
Kate: Okay, Carly, I -- I think that you should just calm down.
Carly: Or what, Kate?
Johnny: The rest of my life is garbage, but when you're around -- this is selfish. All I do is bring you trouble.
Lulu: You're a much better person than you think you are.
Johnny: I got a mob war on my hands with Sonny Corinthos.
Lulu: Sonny would never hurt me.
Johnny: You don't know that, anything can happen. Being around me is too dangerous.
Lulu: You keep blaming yourself, but this is as much my fault as it is yours. I -- I could've stayed away from you, but I didn’t.
Johnny: You've always said that you've rebelled against people's expectations of you. Maybe this is no different.
Lulu: It might've started that way, but we're friends now and I want to help.
Johnny: You can't, it's too late.
Lulu: Sonny's going to listen to Carly.
Johnny: Okay, maybe in your dream world. Hey, but this is reality. I meant what I said when I kissed you. I don't want to lose you. But I've made my choice and I'm not going to let them touch you, but we can't do this anymore.
Kate: I was almost shot tonight in a mob hit in your restaurant
Carly: You're surprised by this? Sonny's a mob boss; he's been shot more times than he can count.
Kate: Well, Carly, I don't want to die. And as much as I've protested against Sonny's consistent attempts at providing more security for me, I'm actually pleased that he cares enough to protect me.
Carly: You are so full of yourself, do you know that?
Sonny: Okay, we're done, we're done, Carly.
Carly: Sonny has friends, he has family, he has an ex-wife, and he has children. But you're going to let him start this big war because it feels good to have Sonny protect you? What about encouraging him to protect his children? What about that?
Sonny: I do everything I can to protect my children, Carly.
Kate: Sonny, she knows that. She's trying to bait me.
Carly: You want a life with Sonny, get used to the bullets, Kate. You got that?
Kate: Um, actually, I have faith in Sonny; he knows what he's doing.
Carly: Then stop whining about the danger, okay? Because this isn't some, you know, spread in a fashion magazine where the only person getting shot is some ditsy model, this is real life.
Kate: Carly, I was afraid for my life.
Carly: And I'm afraid for my life and my boys' life, do you understand that?
Sonny: Okay, enough, enough!
Carly: No, it's not. No, it's not!
Lucky: I need you to run a trace on Sam’s cell phone.
Det. Harper: No problem. Hey, Sam? Have you noticed anything out of the ordinary the last few days?
Sam: Well, like what?
Det. Harper: Confrontations with strangers, someone following you, any unusual behavior on the part of friends or co-workers?
Sam: I don't know, you know? People sort of stare and approach me all the time, I think, because they recognize me from the TV show.
Lucky: A lot of people know that you lived with Jason Morgan.
Sam: Well, yeah. I mean, I suppose his enemies would want to come after me -- I don't know.
Det. Harper: Anyone in particular?
Sam: No. Not that I'm aware of, no.
Det. Harper: You know, you might want to keep that shut and locked. I'll let you know if I come up with anything on the cell.
Sam: Lucky, Georgie's killer is out there, and -- and she's only been dead for a couple of hours. Why would he want to strike so quickly?
Lucky: So far, he doesn't have a pattern. We don't even have an idea how he chooses his victims.
Sam: Maybe it was just a prank.
Lucky: No, we have to assume that it wasn't and make sure you're protected.
Sam: Oh -- I hate this. I hate this. When I was with Jason, I lived every single day in fear of my safety. I just -- I thought those days were over.
Luke: Sure, I'm good for the money. No, I got it. Look, Aunt Clara, you just make sure you got the money when I win. Hi.
Tracy: What are you doing?
Luke: I'm getting back in the game, mama. If you'll stake me to a little grub stake here, you know, for the track, I can get back in a big way.
Luke: What's the matter? Aren't you -- aren't you happy I'm alive?
Tracy: You have no idea how happy I am that you are alive, and I'm going to make sure you stay that way.
Luke: Well, then let's get out of this linoleum prison, baby. Come on, just you and me out to the track for a few hours.
Tracy: Luke, you can't leave this hospital.
Luke: Tracy, I had the surgery. I feel great.
Tracy: You had a surgery, not the one you were scheduled for.
Luke: What are you talking about? I was in the operating room, I was hooked up to the happy gas, I saw Monica there. For God's --
Luke: She didn't finish the surgery, did she?
Tracy: No. You still need bypass surgery.
Luke: Under the circumstances, joking about bypass surgery is not funny, wife.
Tracy: Do I look like I'm joking?
Luke: I'm not listening to this. You have no idea what I went through.
Tracy: What you went through? You were unconscious. I was the one in the waiting room when Monica came out.
Luke: I was in hell.
Tracy: Oh, Luke, it's so unlike you to be so dramatic.
Luke: Lulu was married to Junior Baldwin, pregnant out to here, with three screaming kids and a ridiculous poodle. Disco was back. Scott Baldwin was an international playboy with his own private jet, and you were all over him like a cheap beaver coat.
Tracy: There is nothing cheap about beaver. Why do I put up with you?
Luke: I don't know. Why do you?
Tracy: Because living with you is better than living without you.
Luke: Back at you, you sweet talker.
Tracy: You want sweet talk? How about you and me --
Luke: Oh -- huh --
Tracy: Linoleum --
Tracy: Oatmeal, and a few good-looking doctors, and a bypass surgery?
Luke: Did I mention that in hell, I was a cop?
Tracy: Baby, you're a time bomb.
Luke: Tracy, they patched me up.
Tracy: That's all they did. Dr. Julian repaired the damage Monica left behind. You still need a bypass.
Luke: Are you telling me I almost didn't make it out of O.R.?
Tracy: Do I detect a note of fear in your voice?
Luke: Terror. There's no way in hell I'm going back on that table.
Sonny: Why the hell are you getting into this anyway?
Carly: Because Lulu came to me, and she told me that she brought Johnny to your house so you guys could talk about making peace. And she overheard you telling Jason to kill Johnny.
Sonny: Well, Lulu's got to stay out of this.
Carly: I know she does, but you know what? She showed up at Pier 52 and she was ambushed, so she's in it, like it or not.
Sonny: Whoa, whoa, wait, wait -- what do you mean, "ambushed"?
Carly: She got a message to meet Johnny at the pier. She shows up, and snipers start shooting at them.
Sonny: Is she hurt?
Carly: No, but Johnny thinks you tried to kill him.
Sonny: Well, I don't care what Johnny thinks, because you know what? I would never take the chance to hurt Lulu.
Carly: I know that, okay, and Lulu knows that -- she has a very high opinion of you. Now is your chance, Sonny, to live up to it, okay?
Sonny: You know what Lulu's problem is? She can't stay away from Johnny Zacchara, she keeps hanging around him -- that's her problem.
Carly: Johnny was ambushed, as well, okay? So I don't think he's behind the Metro Court shooting.
Sonny: Maybe he set up both shootings to throw suspicion off himself.
Carly: That is a reach, okay? Maybe Johnny's innocent here.
Sonny: Okay, you know that he's head of the Zacchara family?
Carly: Yes, and you know that Trevor's probably still running that.
Sonny: Well, I don't care. Because if Johnny's making moves against us, I will retaliate.
Carly: You need to calm down because you're acting irrational right now.
Sonny: I'm just letting you know that it's my business and –
Carly: It's not business.
Carly: It's not business, it's personal, and you know it. You can't act out because you're trying to protect someone who can't handle it. This isn't about Johnny, it's about Kate, and you know it.
Trevor: Where the hell were you? You know, while you were out being a rebel without a clue, Sonny Corinthos almost killed me in the Metro Court tonight.
Johnny: What happened?
Trevor: I did exactly what you wanted me to do -- I set up a meeting, and I negotiated with Sonny to come to some kind of settlement between our two organizations -- but it was a trap.
Johnny: Well, it turns out my meeting with Jason Morgan was an ambush, also.
Trevor: Ah. You see?
Johnny: You were right. Satisfied?
Trevor: Now you understand what Sonny Corinthos is and how he operates. John, you don't negotiate with Sonny when it comes to protecting his territory.
Johnny: Sounds a little like you, huh?
Trevor: Sonny Corinthos and I have nothing in common.
Johnny: Except for his mother, and Kate Howard.
Trevor: So what? What are you talking about? Look, you and I are fighting the same battle. Now we got a war on our hands.
Johnny: It looks like you're getting everything you wanted.
Logan: I'm sorry. I know the two of you were getting closer. She was a -- a good person.
Lulu: What are you talking about?
Logan: Oh, I'm sorry. I thought that's why you were upset. Um -- Georgie was killed tonight in the park.
Maxie: Oh -- there you are. I was beginning to wonder.
Coop: I let your father bring you in. I stopped by a couple of times, but you were either asleep or with someone.
Maxie: Wanted me alone?
Coop: Maxie, I'm so sorry about your sister.
Maxie: I still don't believe she's gone. I woke up earlier, and I heard someone rolling the magazine cart around. I thought it was Georgie. And for a second, I -- I almost called out to her. She was a -- she was a perfect sister, ways smiling and cheering people up. I used to make fun of her for being such a Pollyanna, but everybody loved her. Who would want to do something like this to Georgie?
Jason: I am so sorry that I have to go. But I am glad you called me.
Elizabeth: Well, I had to see you. I heard about Georgie.
Jason: Yeah. Spinelli -- he told me. He's -- he's the one who found her.
Elizabeth: I was at the desk when they brought Maxie in. She was hysterical, and then Mac came out and broke the news to Robin -- it was like Emily all over again.
Jason: Now, Georgie and Spinelli were actually good friends. He is devastated.
Elizabeth: She was such a kind and thoughtful person. A whole lifetime of promise and possibility gone.
Jason: I know, there's just no way to make sense of it.
Elizabeth: When I heard about Georgie, I know this sounds really selfish, but all I could think about was you. How much I loved you and needed you, and how terrible it would be if I never saw you again. We can't take this for granted. We have to find a way to be together.
Lucky: Harper -- he wanted to offer you police protection, but I told him that I could handle it.
Sam: A -- a 24-hour guard?
Lucky: Yeah, five women were attacked, three were killed, and I don't want to take any chances.
Sam: Okay. I appreciate that. And I -- I value -- you know, it feels great to know that somebody cares. I just -- I don't know. I -- I don't want you to feel chained or claustrophobic or --
Lucky: Why do you always feel like you're imposing?
Sam: Well, I -- I don't know. I -- I guess it's because I grew up feeling like I was an imposition. My father was a grifter, Lucky. I -- I grew up running scams and cons, and -- and then my father would cheat me out of every single penny that I earned. So as soon as I could, I was on my own, and it was great.
Lucky: Maybe you're the one that doesn't like to feel claustrophobic.
Sam: No, I don't like to feel helpless. And this lady-killer out there, he wants me to feel like a victim, and I am not going to be a victim. He doesn't have to know until it's too late.
Lucky: What do you mean?
Sam: Lucky, maybe it is time we turn the hunter into the hunted.
Trevor: John, I don't want this war any more than you do, but we got to present a united front.
Johnny: What's your plan?
Trevor: We acquire all of Lorenzo Alcazar's waterfront property.
Johnny: The current owner refused to sell.
Trevor: No, no, no, no, no. She refused you because you bullied her.
Johnny: You think you can do any better?
Trevor: Absolutely. You see, we set up dummy corporations, and we offer so much money that she doesn't care who the buyer is. And then we use those piers as the base for our operations.
Johnny: And what about Sonny?
Trevor: He's going to be expecting retaliation, and he is very vulnerable without his enforcer. So we'll eliminate Jason Morgan.
Johnny: Pretty good strategy.
Trevor: Thank you.
Johnny: And obviously, well-rehearsed. I'm not my father. I don't take orders from you.
Trevor: Ah. It's the -- um -- hmm -- the girl, isn't it?
Johnny: She's got nothing to do with it.
Trevor: Oh, yeah, of course she does. Come on, you take one shot, and you go running to Sonny this soon for peace? Of course it is. You'll do anything to find an excuse to be with this girl.
Johnny: I'm doing what I think is right -- you might want to try it sometime.
Trevor: Johnny, you give Sonny Corinthos the edge, and he's going to kill both you and Lulu in a heartbeat.
Sonny: Stop blaming this on Kate.
Carly: Why shouldn't I? She's the reason you're going to kill Johnny Zacchara.
Sonny: Your problems with Kate have nothing to do with Johnny.
Carly: Oh, this is about me being jealous, is that it?
Sonny: Well, I --
Carly: I'm happily married to Jax, okay? You can have whatever life you want to have with Kate. Just don't forget to protect your family, that's all I'm saying.
Sonny: There is nothing more important to me than my children.
Carly: We were together a long time, Sonny.
Carly: I care about you, and I know you care about me and we're always going to be a part of each other's lives. So I'm asking you this -- please, think before you act. Because you have two little boys and a little girl who are counting on you to keep them safe, and I'm counting on you. So if making peace with Johnny Zacchara is going to accomplish that, then you suck it up and you do it.
Sonny: Um -- just -- Carly was just way out of line.
Kate: She usually is. But this time, I completely agree with her.
Kate: Oh, Carly -- Carly has a unique talent for putting things in the most incendiary way possible, but she made some good points.
Sonny: She has a hard time of seeing both sides of the coin. And then we try to convince her, it's just like an argument all the time, you know?
Kate: I know that you care about me.
Sonny: I love you. So, I mean, you know --
Kate: I don't want you to overreact.
Sonny: I'm not overreacting; I'm just trying to protect you.
Kate: Because you saw how frightened I was that that sniper's bullet almost hit me. Carly was right.
Sonny: Oh --
Kate: Nothing in my life has prepared me for the kind of danger in your world.
Sonny: It doesn't mean you're weak or fragile.
Kate: No, but --
Sonny: Oh, no "but" -- you are, you know, hey, Connie Falconeri from Bensonhurst -- streetwise chick.
Sonny: Carly doesn't know that, but --
Kate: No, and if she did, her jaw would probably scrape the floor.
Sonny: I know you can handle yourself in a crisis.
Kate: I haven't been realistic about the violence in your life. I don't -- I don't know if anybody could, really, unless they were exposed to it. And now that I have been, um -- Sonny, I don't want you to make a move that might risk the lives of your friends and family because you're trying to protect me.
Sonny: Kate, you trust me?
Kate: Of course I do.
Sonny: Yea okay. So then you -- you trust that I know what I'm doing?
Kate: You can take all the precautions you want, Sonny. There are no guarantees.
Sonny: Yeah, I know -- and you're not really helping me out here.
[Knock on door]
Maxie: And what do you want?
Lulu: I know that you don't have much use for me, but I wanted to tell you how sorry I am about Georgie. She could've hated me for all the awful stuff that I did, but she was kind and she was forgiving and she was amazing. You had a truly special sister and I'm going to miss her.
Maxie: You know, I could say something horrible about how you broke Georgie's heart when you took Dillon from her, and how she might even be alive right now if that never happened. But she's not, so it doesn't matter anymore. Nothing does.
Sam: Think about it -- I will be on my guard, I will keep you glued to my side. And then I'll leave myself open and unprotected, the killer will come in and try and come at me, and when he does, you and the rest of the damn PCPD will come in and do your job!
Lucky: Okay, you want to be the bait?
Sam: Why not?
Lucky: Sam, it's too dangerous.
Sam: So? This guy is on the streets! What, we're going to leave him there so he's free to kill whoever he wants?
Lucky: Sam, we're going to catch him. Just leave this to the police.
Sam: Oh, fine, fine.
Lucky: I care about you. I want us to give this a chance and see where it goes.
Sam: Oh, I do, too.
Lucky: You know, we've been honest with each other from the start. We're not building our relationship on lies.
Jason: Are you saying that you think we should just tell everyone Jake is my son and not Lucky's?
Elizabeth: Sometimes I just wish you would make that decision for me -- claim Jake as your own and insist that we become a family.
Jason: And I would. I would if the situation was different, but -- I mean, you're his mother, I -- I respect your decision.
Elizabeth: Then we're back to where we started. The boys will be safer with Lucky as their father. Do you still agree?
Jason: Yeah. But I'll -- I'll always miss Jake.
Elizabeth: We could throw caution to the wind and do what makes us happy -- you and me and Jake and Cameron living together under one roof. It would be wonderful. But, God forbid, if something ever happened to Jake because of the life you lead, we would never forgive ourselves, and for the rest of our lives, we -- we would regret the choice we made.
Jason: And right now Zacchara is after me and Sonny. He's known for targeting families.
Elizabeth: So I suppose we should make a clean break? But I don't want to give you up.
Jason: So what -- what do we do?
Elizabeth: My divorce is final. I'm a free woman, you're a free man.
Jason: Uh-uh. I'm pretty much taken at the moment.
Elizabeth: So what's to stop us from seeing each other in secret?
Jason: You mean --
Elizabeth: I mean like an affair. I mean, nobody has to know. We could meet here, we could spend some time together, and then go back to our lives. I know it sounds scandalous and so not me, but it's not like we're hurting anyone, right?
Elizabeth: And the only person I'd want to tell is Emily.
Jason: And I think she'd be happy for us.
Elizabeth: She wanted us to admit our feelings to each other. So here I am, telling you that I love you, and that you will always be a part of me.
Jason: I love you. And if this is what you want, let's do it.
Luke: You seem oddly content for a man who changes dirty sheets and empties bedpans.
Cassius: Well, it's not a top-10 job by far, but I got no complaints -- well, at least no major ones.
Luke: So the glass is always half full, huh, Cassius?
Cassius: Hell with the glass -- sometimes you got to grab the whole damn bottle.
Luke: Well, tell me where you stand on this living-and-dying thing.
Cassius: Hmm. Well -- uh -- I guess a -- a man's got no business dying if he's not done living, and he's got no business living if he's just living like he's asking to die. You follow?
Luke: I do, indeed.
Lulu: I feel terrible for Maxie.
Logan: Yeah, she and Georgie were really close. I'm sorry to see Maxie hurt.
Lulu: It's really weird, huh? Maxie was the reason why we broke up, and now here we are trying to console her.
Logan: Well, Lulu, I hope that means we're past all that.
Lulu: Well, things change, and Maxie and Coop are back together.
Logan: We could be back together, too.
Lulu: Well, um, I just want to take things slow, you know, not rush into anything.
Logan: Well, Lulu, I'm willing to wait, as long as we're straight with each other. You never did tell me why you were at the overlook.
Lulu: Well, you didn't, either.
Logan: Well, I was looking for you, Lulu, to tell you Georgie had been killed. I went by Elizabeth’s, but no one was home, which made me think maybe your baby-sitting gig got canceled -- which didn't surprise me too much after I found you at the pier waiting on your father's cigar smuggler guy the first time you weren't baby-sitting.
Lulu: Huh. Well, uh –
Carly: Hey, I need to talk to you -- privately.
Sonny: You've been fighting me on this security issue, and, I mean -- the shooting at the Metro Court is exactly why I wanted to put extra security. You get what I'm saying?
Kate: Yeah, right. So you installed the security system before my brush with death. So -- what do we do now?
Sonny: Well, you -- you took the system out. Can I -- can I reinstall it? Let me reinstall it.
Kate: Okay, okay, and then -- and then what's next? I give you my itinerary for my day so your guards can surround me at all times, but they'll keep a respectable distance so I won't know that they're there. And I won't even bother to ask if your bomb squad has swept under my car, checked under my hood, or --
Sonny: Yeah, well, you forgot the boat that patrols the lake at your property line.
Kate: How do you do that?
Sonny: Do what?
Kate: Hmm! You make me smile and think that anything is possible.
Sonny: I want us to be together, Kate. And if I put extra security or whatever, it's not going to change your whole life.
Kate: Oh, Sonny, it already has. I love you. I've gone from the girl in cutoff jeans that you knew in Bensonhurst to a full-fledged target.
Lulu: Sonny's going to kill Johnny?
Carly: He didn't agree, he didn't disagree -- that's not the point. Okay, this is huge, and you need to stay away from the situation.
Lulu: Carly, I'm sorry. You were married to Sonny for years; you're the mother of his children. It's a little hard -- no offense -- to take your warning seriously.
Carly: It's exactly why you should take me seriously. Look, no matter how much I love Sonny, there was a huge downside to being involved in his world, and now Johnny is Sonny's rival? You have no idea what you're getting involved in.
Lulu: I'm staying out of it.
Carly: Just like you have so far? You need to understand, this is going to be bad for everyone if you like Johnny more than you're letting on and you get in the way.
Lulu: I won’t. I can handle this.
Carly: You remind me so much of myself, it scares me.
Lulu: Thank you. Carly, I know you mean well, but I'm -- I'm very capable of making my own decisions.
Carly: I hate when people tell me what to do, too. You need to listen to me. Stay away from Johnny Zacchara.
Logan: I thought I'd find you up here.
Johnny: If you knew I was going to be here, it would've been smart to stay away.
Logan: How about I shut your big mouth, hmm? How about that?
Johnny: Always trying to play the big shot, huh? What's the matter -- you afraid Lulu's going to wake up one day and realize what a loser you are?
Logan: You're the one that's screwing up her life.
Johnny: It's none of your business.
Logan: I'm making it my business, you understand me?
Johnny: Man, you got a chip on your shoulder. I walk into Kelly’s, grab a cup of coffee, you throw me attitude. You think that impresses Lulu?
Logan: I found Lulu up here tonight crying, okay? She can say what she wants, but I know it was over you. Now, you want to make a smart choice, you stay away from her.
Trevor: You knew I wanted that Spencer girl dead. Why didn't that happen?
Mr. Vaughn: Johnny got in the way.
Trevor: Hmm. Fortunately, I got a backup plan that works. Sonny thinks that Johnny tried to kill him, and Johnny thinks that Sonny set up the hit. So we are going to have a war, and when that little bastard, Sonny Corinthos, goes belly up, I'm going to jump in and save Johnny's hide. Checkmate, end of game, I win.
Kate: So I have a choice to make -- ahem. I can either give in to fear and let it paralyze me. Or I can choose to live a life that brings me joy, however short or long it lasts.
Sonny: I vote for long.
Kate: My whole life used to revolve around "Couture," Sonny. I literally thought that I would die if I ever lost that magazine. I was the definition of "workaholic," but my life was empty.
Sonny: I know the feeling.
Kate: And I did lose the magazine, and it wasn't the end of the world -- because of you. I never expected to feel this way about anyone. It's been the most incredible gift, and I won't give it up. Hmm.
Sonny: I don't want you to be afraid.
Kate: I'm not.
Kate: Because I know what I want.
Sonny: I love you. I'm going to do everything I can to keep you safe. You know that, right?
Sonny: All right.
Jason: Um, should -- should I go first? I mean, yeah, maybe I should -- I'll go so nobody sees us leaving together.
Elizabeth: I feel almost illicit -- although, I know we've done nothing wrong.
Jason: We just have a secret.
Elizabeth: Keeping the secret of Jake’s paternity has been hard, I know, because you love him as much as I do, and it doesn't seem fair that I'm a part of his life and you're not. But I guess this secret is different -- something we can hold on to till the next time we can be together.
Jason: Thank you for just being with me.
Elizabeth: I know it's not perfect.
Jason: It's -- it's perfect enough.
Elizabeth: I know I've already told you a dozen times tonight, but I will never get tired of saying it --
Singer: Seem to cost us
Elizabeth: I love you, Jason.
Singer: Every chance at living out the truth
Jason: I love you so much.
Singer: In our hearts it seems the best-laid plans are just outside our hands and leave us broken down and far apart but if faith plays a role I know someday I'll hold you in my arms forevermore so let's love like it's ours to keep love like we've always dreamed and maybe this time the fates will be kind to us so let's love like it's ours to keep
>> On the next "General Hospital" --
Dillon: Is Georgie here, because I have a surprise that's going to, like, make her day.
Diane: I have figured out a way to get you back to Manhattan where you belong.
Carly: This is Michael’s mother. What do you mean, he's missing?
