Spinelli: The Jackal is compelled to admit that was an awesome display of violence. Uh, action-- action-packed sequence evoking terror in the heart of the evildoers. Um -- but Stone Cold must be commended for ultimately allowing the park predators to live, because -- I mean, they were bullies and -- and they -- they were cowardly to threaten the maternal one and her offspring. And, I mean, to compound their crimes, they lied when they said that fair Samantha was behind it all. Right?
Sam: Wait a minute, I'm sorry. I can't do this.
Lucky: Do what? I'm the one who kissed you.
Sam: No, Lucky. This -- this is my fault. I made this happen.
Carly: Why did I ever trust you, you son of a bitch?
Jerry: Aw -- and we were getting along so nicely.
Jax: Carly --
Irina: Your brother won't be pleased if you kill his wife.
Jerry: It'll be a small price to pay if it convinces you trust me.
Jax: If you want to kill someone to impress Irina, kill me.
Sonny: You're Anthony Zacchara's attorney. When a man like Zacchara sends a man like you into my territory, it can only mean one thing.
Trevor: No. You're mistaken. I'm here in Port Charles to visit my girlfriend -- Kate Howard.
Spinelli: There's no way that Samanthaís guilty. She has to -- I mean -- I mean, you saw it. I mean, you saw those guys. You could tell that they were guilty even when they were denying it, so it would only make sense that they would lay false blame on your ex-beloved. I mean, the D.A. of darkness has to be behind this. I mean, yes, of course, he would send out his winged monkeys to do his evildoing, and then tell them to lay blame falsely on Samantha should they get caught. I mean, it's so typical for the D.A. to frame Samantha, like last year when -- with Darth Alcazar's flash drive? She's as innocent now as she was then. She would never, ever terrorize the maternal one or her offspring.
Jason: She already did.
Sam: Okay, listen. You -- um -- you may have initiated the kiss, but I certainly made it easy. Lucky, I found myself drawn to you. We've been in pretty similar situations -- me with Jason, you with Elizabeth -- and you've been so -- sympathetic.
Lucky: Because I understand you.
Sam: I know, and I guess that's why I find myself, you know, talking to you and asking you to come over and even hiring you as my bodyguard.
Lucky: You know what? You may not even realize it, but you're mixing up what you need with what you want, and you need a bodyguard. But it is a way you may stick it to Elizabeth.
Sam: Okay. That's fair enough. I will admit that I did enjoy seeing the look on her face when she found out that I hired you, but you know what? It's completely selfish, and you have to work on your marriage --
Lucky: All right --
Sam: And -- and if you're in this, it's -- it's not good.
Lucky: Sam, don't worry about it.
Sam: There's a lot at stake for you, Lucky. Jason and I are over; you and Elizabeth are still together.
Lucky: You know what? My relationship is not your responsibility.
Sam: Look, you've been a really good friend to me, and I should have been more considerate. You don't need to worry about me, what I might do, what I might say, so I'm really asking you as a favor right now to call Rodriguez and see if somebody else can get down here.
Lucky: Sam, you need a bodyguard you can trust. I want to be that for you. If Elizabeth can't handle it, too bad.
Sam: You know, it's -- it's pretty clear what you're doing, too.
Jerry: Perhaps you're right, little brother -- killing you may be the simplest solution.
Carly: No! You love Jax more than anyone else in this world. You can't trade him for her.
Jax: Carly --
Carly: No! Jax --
Jax: It's -- it's okay. Look, I'm the only bait Irina needs to settle the score with Jerry. It's okay. Just -- go.
Irina: Take his advice and leave. You are starting to bore me.
Carly: I'm not leaving my husband. Let us both go. You have Jerry -- torture him all you like.
Irina: Aw. This warms my heart. You really do love each other. Kill them.
Jerry: Will you spend the rest of your life with me if I do?
Jerry: Very well. I'm sorry, Jax. I'll make sure Mum never hears about this.
Carly: Jerry --
Jax: I'm sorry.
Irina: Why aren't you pulling the trigger?
Jerry: You know what? I wonder if there's a catch.
Irina: What sort of catch?
Jerry: I'm wondering if I can trust you. You said that your goal was to torture me, to make me pay for selling out. Perhaps you want me to kill my brother and my sister-in-law, to disappear, never to be seen again.
Irina: You are stalling.
Jerry: If you don't trust me, you're welcome to shoot me.
Irina: What a tempting offer.
Ric: I doubt you know my father.
Kate: Trevor and I have been friends for years.
Ric: And I'm supposed to believe that he'll be working on your behalf?
Kate: You can believe what you want, but Trevor has assured me you'll drop the charges.
Ric: If you knew my father, then why didn't you say so in the first place when I detained you for assaulting that officer?
Kate: Because I had no idea that you and Trevor were related -- until tonight.
Ric: And yet you've known him for years.
Kate: Trevor is good friends with my publisher, Warren James. When he heard that I was having trouble with the local D.A. Lansing, he decided to come up and smooth things over.
Ric: And he's in town now?
Kate: Trevor arrived today. I gather he hasn't contacted you.
Ric: I'd be surprised if he did.
Kate: Do I detect a trace of bitterness?
Ric: Well let's just put it this way, Ms. Howard -- now that my father is involved, I'll be prosecuting you to the fullest extent of the law.
Sonny: You're not here for some girlfriend. Zacchara is looking to expand, he sends in his lawyer first to scope out the territory.
Trevor: What kind of territory are you talking about? I have many clients.
Sonny: Not like Anthony Zacchara.
Trevor: Kate Howard is a priority. She's a lovely woman, as I'm sure you've noticed.
Sonny: You're a busy man.
Trevor: Well, Kate is more than just a friend.
Sonny: Really? She never mentioned you.
Trevor: Well, we've been close for years. You see, I opened certain doors for her, as only I could. Like I wanted to do for your mother -- before you tried to kill her.
Sonny: Don't ever mention my mother again.
Trevor: Don't misunderstand. Adela was the kindest, most sensitive, loving woman I ever met. Unfortunately, she was blind to your flaws. You wanted your mother all for yourself, and when that was impossible, you pushed her down --
Sonny: Okay, I don't want to hear any more about that.
Trevor: Have I hit a nerve, Mr. Corinthos?
Sonny: My mother was pregnant with your child. You brought up Ric the way you wanted to, to make him the man he is today. You proud of that?
Trevor: Unfortunately, Richard has always been a disappointment to me.
Sonny: Ric is an angry man.
Trevor: Yeah. Well, I did try to give him a family. I even convinced my wife to adopt him.
Sonny: I'm sure she's happy about that.
Trevor: No. I take partial blame, and you know why? Because my whole life, I was never able to connect to another woman the way I loved your mother -- until I met Kate Howard. And you obviously know her pretty well, too
Sonny: She's my neighbor.
Trevor: Well, I have enjoyed molding Kate into the kind of woman that I'm proud to be with. Now, do you have a problem with that, Mr. Corinthos?
Kate: I take it you and your father aren't close.
Ric: My father is a cold, domineering bastard.
Kate: Tell me how you really feel.
Ric: Look, involving him is only going to hurt your case. My advice to you is you should drop my father as quickly and as easily as you were prepared to drop Sonny.
Kate: Your father is a wonderful man.
Ric: You know, you never struck me as particularly naive.
Kate: Really? You have frequently struck me as bitter, vindictive, and borderline paranoid.
Ric: Really? Blame my father. The way he treats his family is much different than the face that he shows to the rest of the world.
Kate: You're obviously biased.
Ric: Ms. Howard, my father has an ability to mask his true nature with charm -- look at how well it worked on you.
Kate: Trevor is an incredible man. He's loyal, perceptive, supportive -- all qualities which you appear to lack, which would explain why you two don't get along.
Ric: You're not helping your case.
Kate: Oh -- among his other fine attributes, Trevor is a brilliant lawyer.
Ric: Well, he can't contend with evidence.
Kate: No, but he can explain to the judge that your vendetta with Sonny is the only reason you're prosecuting me.
Ric: What's really going on here, Ms. Howard?
Kate: I don't know -- the tables are turning? You don't like it?
Ric: No. The way that you defend my father -- you praise his character, tell me what a wonderful man he is.
Kate: It's the truth.
Ric: You two are more than friends, aren't you? Huh. I wonder what Sonny would think about that.
Lucky: I don't know what's going to happen between me and Elizabeth.
Sam: Lucky, she hurt you, and I'm not judging if some part of you wants to get back at her, but I don't want to make things worse.
Lucky: Sam, you have no reason to feel guilty.
Sam: Oh, Lucky, I am guilty, okay? I am furious at Elizabeth and everything that she's done. You -- you have been amazingly tolerant.
Lucky: I'm trying to hold my family together.
Sam: I know, and I don't want you to do anything you're going to regret.
Lucky: I don't intend to.
Sam: Look, having feelings and acting on them are two completely different things. If you got involved with me, and Elizabeth found out, your marriage would be ruined, okay? She's the mother of your children. There is a lot at stake here.
Lucky: Elizabeth is willing to risk it.
Sam: It doesn't mean you should, too, and I don't want you to resent me. You've been a really good friend to me.
Lucky: Sam, I appreciate your concern, but I'm not going to live in fear of what could happen.
Sam: You know, you are a really great guy, and I -- I think Elizabeth is crazy not to appreciate you.
Lucky: Yeah, well, I could say the same about Jason. Maybe we're beginning to see the silver lining.
Jason: Spinelli, she didn't know what kind of person Maureen was, she didn't care, anything could've happened to Jake.
Spinelli: Okay, my -- my most humble point is -- is this. Those actions are nothing like this, nothing like hiring two men to scare Elizabeth and her offspring in the park. I mean, that -- that required nefarious thinking and plotting, okay, and it was deliberately malicious.
Jason: That's right, it was.
Spinelli: Right. Well, I mean, it -- it would've been malicious, had the evildoers meant to do harm. But if Samantha did hire them, if she did, then, you know, she just wanted to appear heroic, you know, and save the day. I mean, granted, not a good choice, not -- you know, not a real sane choice, but doesn't it just show that she needs professional help, not punishment? Look, I mean, the evil ones have fled in terror, okay? Can't we -- can't we just stop -- stop chasing this and call it past tense?
Jerry: Shoot me. You'll do me a favor, believe me. I never wanted to betray you, Irina.
Irina: We learn something new about ourselves every day, don't we?
Jerry: I loved you. When they imprisoned me and tortured me, I begged them to kill me. T they broke me, and in a moment of total weakness, I gave them your name, and when they dragged you in front of me, to make me believe that I was witnessing a murder, I felt that my life was over.
Irina: You felt relieved you were still alive.
Jerry: I became numb. I stopped caring about anything -- as my brother and Carly know well.
Irina: And the point of this confession would be?
Jerry: Seeing you once again made me -- made me feel something that I hadn't felt since I last saw you. You're the only woman I've ever loved. And here you are again. Part of me doesn't want to let us care about this, to show a sign of weakness. But if you need to guarantee your safety, go ahead. Pull the trigger. But know that I still love you, and I will forever, Irina.
Irina: Jerry --
[Jerry whispers Russian]
Emily: Hey. Nikolas and I had plans tonight, but he had to cancel. You want to grab some dinner?
Elizabeth: I canít. Dr. Glass needs these forms immediately, even though she's not going to look at them until next month.
Emily: Okay, something tells me that you're angry at a lot more than Dr. Glass.
Elizabeth: Oh. I went to see Sam, to talk about what happened in the park with those thugs, and when I got there, Lucky was with her.
Emily: In Samís home?
Elizabeth: Mm-hmm. That was my reaction, too. And it turns out that Lucky has accepted a job as Samís bodyguard.
Emily: Whoa, whoa -- okay, wait. You mean that Sam asked Lucky, of all people, to be her bodyguard?
Emily: Why would he accept? He's busy enough with his job as police detective, and why would Sam hire him?
Elizabeth: Come on, you know why.
Emily: You think Samís coming on to Lucky?
Elizabeth: I think Sam hates me and she knows Lucky is vulnerable.
Emily: So what are you going to do?
Elizabeth: After everything that's happened, I don't even know if I should object.
Sam: Okay, Lucky, I appreciate the thought, but you don't have to do this.
Lucky: Listen, two gunmen almost killed you at the studio.
Sam: Months ago.
Lucky: I want to make sure that the security is adequate, okay?
Amelia: Detective Spencer? Why did you want to see me?
Lucky: I'd like to discuss how you plan on protecting Sam at the TV studio.
Amelia: And why is that your concern?
Sam: Well, surprise -- I -- I guess you didn't get the memo. Because you're paying for it, I hired Lucky as my bodyguard.
Amelia: You didn't waste any time, did you?
Sonny: You won't be in town very long.
Trevor: Why would you assume that?
Sonny: Because I'm sure you got to go back to Manhattan because Anthony Zacchara needs his lawyer on call 24/7.
Trevor: But Katie ran into some trouble with the local police. I promised I'd help her.
Sonny: She doesn't need your help, Trevor.
Trevor: And as the district attorney also happens to be my son, I thought I'd come upstate and smooth things over for her -- a great deal more effectively than you can.
Sonny: Go back to Manhattan, Trevor, before you start something you cannot finish.
Trevor: You know, I'm not really surprised that you turned into a gangster. You were always a dangerous, moody punk. But for Adela's sake, I'm not going to report this to the local police. But don't you ever do it again.
Jason: Who the hell was that?
Sonny: Ric's father, Kateís boyfriend.
Ric: My father and late stepmother never had more than a marriage of convenience. He had several close friends on the side -- I'm assuming you're one of them.
Kate: You know, I always find it unsettling when people feel the need to spew their anger towards their parents. It makes me want to shake them and tell them to grow up.
Ric: That's a nice deflection, Ms. Howard, but the subject under discussion is the fact that you had an affair with my father. How long were you his mistress, exactly, or did you feel you had some sort of emotional connection?
Ric: Because my father's other talent is making people feel special when he wants something from them.
Kate: Wow. I'm beginning to see why Trevor never speaks of you.
Ric: My father dislikes the fact that I see him for who he really is.
Kate: It's sad, really.
Ric: What is that?
Kate: That, obviously, you and Trevor have problems. All families do, but you've let them fester all these years. You haven't learned how to move on.
Ric: You know, I just hope that when my father does decide to end it with you, you can do it amicably. Because, trust me, you don't want to get on Trevorís bad side.
Kate: I have no reason to be afraid of Trevor. But if you are, why don't you drop the charges and just let this thing be over?
Jerry: Get Jax out of the cuffs.
Jax: You're insane.
Jerry: Oh, how about a "thank you, brother, for saving our lives"? Huh?
Jax: You just shot her in cold blood.
Jerry: Because the bitch was going to kill us, okay?
Jax: But you loved her.
Jerry: Irina was a loose end. You know me -- I like to tidy things up.
Jax: I don't believe this. You have absolutely no regrets, do you?
Jerry: Oh, yes, I do have regrets. Yes, I apologize for my hired help. Silas did a very good job to keep you away from Port Charles, but he should never have allowed this Irina mess to intrude. Well. You and your blushing bride made it out alive, no harm done, so why don't you leave while it's still safe? I can handle the clean--
Jax: Yeah, do that, Jerry! You -- you handle the cleanup. But I am so sick of your stupid games that put our lives in danger. I want you to keep on moving, because we don't ever want to see you again. Let's go.
Sam: Amelia and I have an unconventional working relationship.
Amelia: Translation -- there's no love lost between Sam and myself. But we need each other to make "Everyday Heroes" a success, so we manage to coexist.
Lucky: Even though you hate Sam?
Amelia: Oh, "hate" is such a strong word.
Sam: Yes, but accurate.
Amelia: Fortunately, we can despise each other and still work together.
Amelia: That's why it's called show business and not show friends. "Everyday Heroes" is doing well in the ratings, so we're maintaining the status quo.
Lucky: Yeah, well, maybe I should be questioning you about the thugs who threatened Sam and my family in the park.
Amelia: Question away. I know nothing about it.
Lucky: Well, she said you would do anything for ratings.
Amelia: Okay, well, why would I threaten Sam if there's not a camera crew around to record her heroic response?
Sam: Because you hate me, and you would like to see me afraid.
Amelia: Because that's absurd.
Sam: Well, did you do it, Amelia? Did you hire some thugs to threaten Elizabeth and her innocent kids just to, what, set me up?
Emily: Forget about whether you should or shouldn't object, Elizabeth, just tell me what's in your heart.
Elizabeth: I'm really trying to figure that out in my head. Lucky is still my husband.
Emily: Are you sure he's not an obligation, or a habit?
Elizabeth: I have been faithful to Lucky ever since that one night I spent with Jason last summer.
Emily: Physically faithful, yes, but there's such a thing as emotional infidelity, Elizabeth. I'm not judging you; I'm just trying to be honest about what I see.
Elizabeth: What about my children?
Emily: Kids grow up. You have to genuinely be happy with their father or it's not going to work. When you picture who you want to spend the rest of your life with, is it Lucky?
Elizabeth: God, Em, why do you always ask the toughest questions?
Emily: Because that's what friends are for. Okay, so what's your answer?
Elizabeth: Oh -- I have every intention of keeping my promise to my family. So unless Lucky says otherwise, I'm going to try to work things out with him.
Jason: Oh --
Sonny: I'm not getting drunk. I'm not -- no, I'm just -- it would be a good time, I'll tell you that.
Jason: Okay, okay, I'm just -- I'm just trying to catch up here, okay?
Jason: The guy who just walked out of here -- you're telling me is Ric's father?
Sonny: It gets worse.
Jason: And he's Kateís boyfriend?
Sonny: Yes. Guess who he's representing -- Anthony Zacchara.
Jason: You're sure about that?
Sonny: Yeah, I got a call from max a couple hours ago that Anthony Zacchara's attorney was visiting Kate at the Metro Court.
Jason: How did Max --
Sonny: Because Stan has a database of people who work with other organizations.
Jason: Oh, man.
Sonny: When Trevor checked in to the Metro, it, you know, sent up a red flag. So I went over there to warn Kate, and she just kept saying, you know, Trevor this, Trevor that -- I'm like, "Trevor?" Trevor Lansing. It hit me like a -- like somebody with a brick -- boom! You know what I'm saying?
Jason: Okay, if -- if you're right, and Trevor Lansing is representing Anthony Zacchara, you know that --
Jason: That could mean that he's trying to expand his business.
Sonny: I understand that. But he says he came to town for Kate Howard, and he was all the time mentioning that it was his girlfriend -- la-la-la -- and then he starts bringing up my mother.
Jason: Okay, why -- why now? Why now? I understand that Kate is in trouble, but that's -- it's a simple traffic violation. If Trevor wanted to take care of that, he'd pick up the phone; he would take care of it. And I don't -- I don't believe for one minute that he's here to see his son. This has got to be about Zacchara.
Sonny: It's both. Trevor hates me, he wants to mess with my head, and he's looking for a weakness. It's -- the personal stuff is secondary. He's looking and trying to find where we are most vulnerable because he is the advance man for a takeover.
Kate: Trevor. I wasn't expecting to see you again tonight.
Trevor: Hi. Is this a bad time for you?
Kate: Um -- no. No, of course not. Come in.
Trevor: Katie. You remember all those nights when I would end up on your doorstep? You just came back from some fashion event. You were dressed in your designer clothes, your eyes flashing with excitement.
Kate: Your son was just here, paid me a visit. He wasn't too happy to hear you were in town.
Trevor: Well, Richard was always an unhappy, miserable child. Evidently, he hasn't grown any wiser with age.
Kate: He doesn't like you too much, either.
Trevor: Forget my hopeless son. Sweetie, are you involved with Sonny Corinthos?
Carly: This is really happening, right? You're sitting there and you're alive and you're okay?
Carly: You haven't been shot, stabbed; you're not bleeding to death?
Jax: Not as far as I know.
Carly: I missed you. I missed you so much, and I would have these dreams that you were dead, and then I'd wake up and you weren't there with me, and it was awful.
Jax: I'm sorry, Carly. It was wrong of me to leave you, I know that.
Carly: I'm going to be so mad at you. And I'm going to yell and I'm going to scream, but I can't do that right now. This is what I wanted. I wanted you to be with me, safe and okay. I wanted to see you and tell you how much I loved you.
Jax: I've been an idiot thinking that I had to rescue Jerry again, making it so important, when all that really mattered is you and the boys. Every day I was a prisoner, I kept kicking myself for leaving my life, my -- my family. And I promise that I will never leave you again -- I promise. Carly, I promise. Okay?
Amelia: Look, I had absolutely nothing to do with those men that threatened you and Elizabeth in the park.
Sam: Really? Are we just supposed to take your word for that?
Amelia: Look, your children were threatened, too. I would never wish that kind of terror on a child. I'm just glad that they're all right with no lasting effects.
Lucky: Thanks to Sam, they are.
Amelia: Look, I may dislike Sam, but she is the star of "Everyday Heroes" and I need to keep her injury-free and focused on the show.
Lucky: Get another star.
Amelia: Recasting is a lot of trouble, and it usually ends up a disaster. Audiences are generally slow to accept a change. They'll tune out before they'll watch someone unfamiliar. This show is my livelihood, the biggest success I have had in my career. I'm not going to jeopardize it, regardless of my dislike for Sam. I had nothing to do with the incident in the park. I'm just glad that everyone is all right.
Lucky: I'm glad you have concerns for Samís safety. So if you've got a few minutes, I'd like to go over some ideas to help tighten up security at the TV studio.
Amelia: I'd be happy to help however I can.
Amelia: Should we grab a seat?
Sam: Um, why don't you two work out the details, I'm going to head home.
Lucky: Listen, I won't be long. Why don't you wait, and I'll --
Sam: No, no, no, I'm perfectly okay.
Lucky: Listen, I don't want you to go home by yourself at night.
Sam: Lucky, I am parked in the valet, and you know the security at my hotel is great. So I'll just see you tomorrow. Okay?
Kate: Sonny lives next door to the property I purchased here in Port Charles. Anything beyond that is personal.
Trevor: You're involved with him.
Kate: I'm not going to confirm or deny anything.
Trevor: Kate, listen to me. Whatever you got going with Sonny, you got to break it off now. That man is psychotic.
Kate: That's quite a serious charge, Trevor.
Trevor: No, hear me out. I was involved with Sonny's mother, Adela. Sonny was 6 years old at the time. And when Adela got pregnant with Richard, Sonny become so jealous, he pushed his own mother down a flight of stairs.
Kate: No. No, Trevor, I'm sure that you're mistaken. The fall was probably an accident.
Trevor: He wanted to kill his brother even before he was born. Huh. Evidently, he's just as dangerous.
Trevor: 20 minutes ago, he threatened to kill me.
Sonny: I mean, it makes sense that Zacchara would want to move into Port Charles, especially now that we got rid of Alcazar. I mean, we did half the work for him.
Jason: How much do you know about Zacchara?
Sonny: Okay, I'm telling you right now, if we fight, it's going to get ugly. And Trevor Lansing is his lawyer, if you know what I'm saying.
Jason: Are you okay with --
Sonny: Well, I mean, I hadn't -- I hadn't seen Trevor since I was 6 years old. There he's sitting where you're sitting, just staring right at me. And it's not so much that, you know, it's a nightmare from the past, it's that he's the frontman for the worst enemy I've -- I've ever faced. And he's sleeping with somebody that I care about.
Jason: Did Kate admit that?
Sonny: No, she didn't admit it, but I know they are. I mean, it just -- I mean, I know it shouldn't matter. I mean, I knew Kate 20 years ago, she comes into my life, she lives next door to me, and who am I to say who she should sleep with?
Jason: I guess the question is, can you keep it separate?
Sonny: It's not separate. Trevor is tied to me now, okay, with -- with Ric, with Kate, and I know -- I know that Zacchara knew that. That's why he picked him. No, to answer your question, I am close to this -- maybe too close to this. I just need your -- your objective opinion.
Jason: All right, first of all, Zacchara is the real problem.
Jason: Beyond that, I can't be objective. Ric has hurt almost everyone I care about, and now you're telling me that his father is just like him? I mean, how do we -- how do we deal with someone like that? What do we do? We wait for them to make a move? Do we kill them before they make that move? Where is the line? When do we cross the line?
Sonny: We figure out what the downside is, what innocents could get hurt, who stands to lose. And then you protect your own.
Jerry: Rest in peace, my love.
Jerry: I love you.
Carly: I can't get the call to go through.
Jax: It's okay, we'll just try again in a couple of minutes.
Carly: I want the boys to know that you're okay and we're on our way home.
Jax: It's okay, it's fine, just -- I missed them, you know? I missed you, too.
Carly: Morgan was learning how to swim this summer -- yeah.
Carly: Yeah. He's not quite comfortable in the deep end, but sometimes he gets carried away with how much fun he's having, and he forgets that he's scared. He wants to show you.
Jax: I can't wait to see it.
Carly: A lot happened while you were gone. I didn't get much done with the Montreal hotel because Jason was on trial, and then I had to find a way to prove that Lorenzo was --
Jax: Carly --
Carly: I'm just telling you what was going on. I thought you'd want to know.
Jax: I want to know about you.
Carly: I told you about me. I missed you. I missed you a lot, you know, and I don't really know what else to say. I mean, I don't know -- do we say anything to each other? We just sit here and stare at each other?
Carly: Oh, no, I just want to keep touching you to make sure you're real. I know in a few weeks, things are going to be back to normal. You know, you're going to be wonderful Jax who I love. I know I'm going to get used to how handsome you are and I'm going to get used to the way you look at me. I just can't stop thinking about the fact that you left, and how close I came to losing you.
Jax: I wasn't about to die and leave you a rich, angry widow, now, was I?
Carly: You were tortured by Irina.
Jax: She had to do something to pass the time.
Carly: She was twisted and she was pathetic.
Jax: She wanted to hurt Jerry as much as -- and Jerry hurt her, so --
Carly: She wanted to hurt everyone.
Carly: And that's why she lied. You didn't really sleep with her.
[Knock on door]
Sonny: Kate, it's me. If you're there, I need -- I need to talk to you.
Kate: We have nothing to discuss.
Sonny: How close are you with Trevor Lansing?
Kate: It's none of your business.
Sonny: Okay, well, I'm not going to leave here until you tell me everything you know about the man.
Kate: Mm-hmm. And if I don't, what are you going to do, kill me?
Trevor: It's Lansing. Get me Mr. Zacchara. Hello, Anthony. Yeah, I'm here in the hinterlands. The situation looks terrific. Unfortunately, you're right -- we're going to have a problem with this Corinthos. Look, I'll talk to you tomorrow when I know more. You have a nice evening. What took you so long?
Amelia: I already did background checks on my stage crew, but you're certainly welcome to do your own.
Lucky: I will. I'd like to come by the studio tomorrow -- you know, check security at the building?
Amelia: You do realize what's going on?
Lucky: Sam wants protection.
Amelia: Sam wants you. This is about her getting you into bed as revenge against Elizabeth.
Lucky: I know exactly what Sam is trying to do.
