Kate: Just a moment. Let me get my bearings.
Trevor: Hey. Is that any kind of greeting for the man who knows you the best?
Sonny: Maybe you're not clear on how deeply you've hurt Jason.
Elizabeth: I'm trying to protect my children, and so is he.
Sonny: Yeah, but cutting -- cutting your ties is not going to change anything.
Elizabeth: Jason disagrees.
Sonny: Didn't Jason just ask you and your children to -- to move in with him in his penthouse? He was going to change security, he was going to do whatever he could to give you a good life?
Elizabeth: He changed his mind.
Sonny: Yeah, I guess he did. So I just think it's best to respect his decision and leave Jason alone, and focus on your husband, your family.
Jason: Those two guys fit the description. They're walking way too fast.
Spinelli: Yeah, while attempting to appear nonchalant.
Jason: Which -- which building is this footage from?
Spinelli: It's the security camera on the bank at 257 Van Ness, directly across from the park.
Jason: Whoa, whoa, whoa, back that up right there.
Spinelli: What? Okay.
Jason: Right there. I need to get a good look.
Spinelli: I do not envy those guys if they turn out to be the evildoers in question.
Jason: They're going to lead me to whoever wanted to threaten Elizabeth.
Sam: I'm not supposed to be afraid of anything these days. I am an everyday hero, remember?
Lucky: You proved it when you saved Elizabeth and the boys.
Sam: I'm going to have to assume that these men are Jasonís enemies, which makes them dangerous. And they're going to look bad, and they're going to have to save face by coming after me.
Lucky: That's how it works in Jasonís world, isn't it?
Sam: Manny Ruiz shot me to make a point to Jason -- that's why I can't have kids -- which is exactly why I would feel a whole lot safer if I had a bodyguard.
Lucky: What do you really want? You want to be safe, or get revenge?
Robin: Just keep drinking the tea. It'll make you feel better.
Patrick: How bad's your throat?
Anna: Oh, you know, this is my fault. When all the equipment was falling on him, I pushed -- I pushed you too hard.
Patrick: Okay, what are we supposed to do? This concert starts in an hour.
Anna: His vocal chords are going to be all right.
Robin: Well, not if they're seriously bruised.
Anna: Can we look on the bright side here? The concert is sold out; Lifebeat stands to gain a great deal of money.
Patrick: And they're paying to see Eli Love, not a brain surgeon wannabe rock star with bruised vocal chords. Unless, of course, you're just trying to get out of performing?
Anna: No, he isnít. He got over the stage fright. See, I mean, you -- you do this really well, Noah. You sing great, and -- and you got the moves down, you're going to be fine. Okay?
Patrick: This isn't going to work.
Robin: You know, this was your idea.
Patrick: Yeah, don't remind me.
Anna: There's no pressure or anything, but we're kind of depending on you. Can you -- can you pull this off?
Noah: [Hoarse] I can give it a shot.
Anna: I think it's time for plan B.
Kate: Exactly how thrilled am I supposed to be to see you?
Trevor: Yeah. A little bit more thrilled than you are, one would hope.
Kate: What do you expect? I haven't seen you since when, last December -- the opera gala? And now you show up here in my hotel room. Why?
Trevor: Warren said you needed help.
Kate: I most certainly did not give Warren jams permission to contact you.
Trevor: Well, he's your boss. I'm not sure that he needs permission.
Kate: Yeah, still, it would've been nice for you to let me know.
Trevor: I understand that you have been driving recklessly again.
Kate: Look, the whole thing has been blown out of proportion. I'm caught in the middle of a family battle which has nothing whatsoever to do with me.
Trevor: I'm sure I can get you out of it.
Kate: I would hate to ask.
Trevor: Come on, Kate. Let me help. You know that I'm the best around here. And there's absolutely nothing that I wouldn't do for you.
Lucky: It's only human to think about revenge.
Sam: I hope I'm a little beyond that.
Lucky: Elizabeth and I are trying to work things out. So if you're thinking of trying to hit on me for payback --
Sam: Yeah, I've thought about it, Lucky. Come on, I know you have, too.
Lucky: Sam, we understand each other and that is all.
Sam: Elizabeth and Jason were sneaking around for months, and after everything they did to us, what they did to you -- what she did to you in court -- yes, I would love to strike back. But I am not going to use you to hurt Elizabeth or anyone else.
Lucky: I'm not saying that you would do it on purpose.
Sam: I'm saying that I wouldn't do it at all. Lucky, you are the closest thing that I have to a friend, and I actually feel comfortable enough asking for your help. I thought -- I -- I do think that we understand each other. Look, I am trying to get my life back on track. I don't want to look over my shoulder every five minutes -- that's why I'm asking you to be my bodyguard. I'm not -- I'm not doing it to get back at Elizabeth or Jason. I want to feel safe.
Jason: Can you get in closer right there or not?
Spinelli: Um, no, that's the closest the software will allow for. I mean, it's a little grainy, but it's a clear shot that the Jackal will get of the potential predators.
Jason: No, it's good enough.
Spinelli: I mean, it -- it's obvious, though, right? It's the two guys in the description?
Jason: Yeah, I -- I would be able to recognize them for sure.
Spinelli: Right. Okay, good --
Spinelli: Good, because, see, they just went into the bank, and I'm going to need a little time to jackal the cameras inside.
Jason: Wait -- wait a minute.
Jason: That bank has a parking garage, right? They could get to the car without coming outside again?
Spinelli: Excellent reasoning, and I have the garage footage at hand.
Jason: Okay, show me the cars coming in.
Spinelli: Okay, um, why didn't I think of this? Oh -- because I'm the grasshopper and you're the master -- that makes sense. Okay.
Jason: Wait, right there.
Jason: Right there. Go in closer on that.
Spinelli: Okay. Yeah, it is they.
Jason: Get me a clear shot of the license plate.
Emily: Man, Spencerís so much like you -- his dark, intelligent eyes, that princely way he waves his little fist right before the tantrum kicks in.
Nikolas: Well, my son and I -- we both know what we want.
Nikolas: I really miss this.
Emily: I know.
Nikolas: Spending an entire afternoon together -- that's -- that's nice.
Emily: And this rotation I'm in is brutal.
Nikolas: I know.
Emily: But it makes me appreciate times like this even more.
Nikolas: I'm sorry I left you alone for so long.
Nikolas: So --
Nikolas: How shall we spend the rest of this fine evening?
Emily: We'll think of something.
Elizabeth: I know I've been selfish. I've let myself lean on Jason because he's a constant in my life.
Sonny: Did it ever occur to you that Jason might want more? That, you know, instead of rescuing you, he wants a life with you?
Elizabeth: But I'm married to Lucky. And regardless whether we can make this work or not, I've agreed to try.
Sonny: And you honestly believe that Lucky can keep you and your children safe when Jason can't?
Elizabeth: Jason seems to think so.
Sonny: Okay, you can't put this all on Jason. I mean, how many times have you told him that you're afraid, then you go to him? And you -- you know, you pull back, you change your mind?
Elizabeth: Okay, I can't change what I've done in the past. All I can do now is honor his wishes. And he thinks that my sons and I are safer when we're not with him. Honestly, right now, I can't -- I can't really disagree. When those men came at me in the park and they mentioned Jason's name, that they were going to use my kids as leverage --
Sonny: Well, that may not be what it appears.
Elizabeth: Well, I can't take that chance. And neither can he.
Sonny: Well, I guess we got nothing more to say here, except that -- just -- you know, you need to really stick to Jason's agreement, because I don't want to see him hurting any more.
Elizabeth: Okay. I won't call you anymore, and I won't ask about Jason.
Sam: Yes, Lucky, it's true. I've said it a million times -- I blame Elizabeth for what happened with me and Jason. But it's over, and my friendship with you is a way of starting over. It's really important to me.
Lucky: Same here.
Sam: I don't know what it's been like for you and Elizabeth, but when I got away from Jason, I -- I've just -- I've realized how isolated I had become. My entire focus was on Jason's life, Jason's work, Jason's friends, making a baby with Jason, and -- I don't know. Now that I'm on my own, trying to stand up on my own two feet, I've realized that that life, my life, Jason's life, Jason's friends are all turning on me with a vengeance, and they are making me into the enemy.
Lucky: I know the feeling.
Sam: If it had been me who was in the park and the thugs had come after me, Jason would've had bodyguards on me -- I'm certain about it -- 24/7, but now he really couldn't give a damn. I'm sure that he's got people watching Elizabeth. Oh, I'm sorry. I -- I shouldn't have said anything. Look, she practically doesn't even know, but it's just -- it's the way Jason thinks. The danger is a part of his life, which means it's part of mine. And I can act as tough as I want. There's no way that I can -- there is no way that I can fend off Jason's enemies on my own.
Lucky: Listen, I wouldn't want you to.
Sam: I would call another agency, but I know Jason and Sonny pretty much control every one of them around here, and if you don't want to do it, I completely understand. If you have any cop friends or anyone who wants to make any extra cash around here --
Lucky: You know what? I'll ask around.
Sam: Thank you. Hey, Lucky? For what it's worth, I really do hope you and Elizabeth can work things out. For the kids' sake, if nothing else.
Lucky: So do I.
Spinelli: Oh, um, the D.M.V. mainframe is increasingly complicated, but have no fear. No number, code, or state-issued I.D. will elude the Jackal, because I own cyberspace. Okay, fly, fly, fly through the web, seek and find all the Jackal desires, and bring it back to the lair. Soon, all will be revealed.
Jason: How long is this going to take?
Spinelli: Um -- if the Jackal presents irrefutable evidence that the D.A. of darkness is indeed behind threatening fair Elizabeth, sweet Cam, and the innocent one, will you tell her that the danger is -- is false, and still ask her to move her with her youngsters here?
Jason: If Ric is behind this, he's not going to get the chance to hurt anyone again.
[Knock on door]
Epiphany: You're doing very well, Mr. Love. You're days ahead of your recovery schedule.
Eli: Must be all that good, clean living, darling.
Epiphany: You're probably getting a good night's sleep for the first time in years.
Eli: Hey, when can I bust out of here?
Epiphany: Can you walk?
Eli: Well, no.
Epiphany: Can you stand up?
Eli: Well, not yet, but --
Epiphany: So then why are you wasting my time with these ridiculous questions?
Eli: You need to party a little more, Nurse Johnson.
Epiphany: You're trying to dazzle me with your rock-star pedigree, but let me tell you something. I've known real musicians in my lifetime.
Anna: Oh, honey -- hi, hi, hi. Oh, good, you're here. Hi. Wow -- I just kissed --
Epiphany: A patient recovering from brain surgery.
Anna: Yeah, and also the real Eli Love. I don't --
Anna: Believe that. Yeah?
Anna: Uh, yeah. Um -- I want to tell you something. You remember the concert that you gave in Dubai? Oh, that was life-transforming for me.
Eli: Wait -- you were in Dubai?
Anna: It was just -- yes, yes. I actually got onstage for a second. That was me.
Eli: What --
Anna: Oh, sorry about the security guard.
Eli: Wait --
Anna: You know, I -- I didn't mean to hurt him.
Eli: The black dress?
Anna: But, you know, he came at me from behind --
Anna: That was just an automatic reflex. I mean, he stood up again.
Eli: You're the black dress.
Robin: Mom --
Eli: Oh -- oh, wow!
Anna: Yes, yes.
Robin: The concert.
Anna: Yes -- shouldn't you be healing someone or something?
Robin: Just --
Anna: Yeah, I'm getting there. Um -- we have a problem with the Lifebeat concert.
Eli: Oh, wait a minute. Let me guess -- your doctor friend's got cold feet, right?
Anna: Well, no, actually, because he recovered quite nicely from that part.
Robin: He did, but then -- well, Noah fell and he -- and he hurt himself.
Anna: He can barely talk, let alone sing. And the concert sold out weeks ago. We have raised so much money for Lifebeat.
Eli: Look, I -- I can't disappoint all these people.
Anna: No. They're desperate for you, for Eli Love, desperate.
Eli: Then Eli Love is who they will get.
Epiphany: No, they won't! Not tonight, they won't! To get out of this hospital, you're going to have to get through me.
Trevor: So the plan was to have a light meal, and then have a leisurely stroll around the ach at sunset. But you know what the vineyard is like this time of year.
Kate: Hmm -- it's almost uninhabitable.
Trevor: I'm seriously thinking about just giving it up, leasing my house to tourists next year.
Kate: Oh, no. No, I would hate to see a bunch of strangers in your home, it's so beautiful. Do you remember when we used to take a walk every morning on the beach?
Trevor: Yeah. That beach is too crowded now. It's almost like the Hamptons.
Kate: Neat, with a splash.
Trevor: Oh, thank you. I see your tastes haven't changed.
Kate: At least, not in wine. To old friends.
Trevor: To us.
Kate: So, who else was at the party -- Steven?
Trevor: Uh-huh. They just wrapped principle photography, and his wife fell in love with this wonderful mansion where they shot on location.
Kate: I wonder if I could work in a shoot to coordinate with the release date.
Trevor: Let's see -- who else was at the party? There was this millionaire-dot-com guy and he was running for the senate. He wanted to raise money, but -- you know, you did it again.
Kate: What? What did I do?
Trevor: You wanted to distract me.
Kate: Oh, so I can't be interested in your life?
Trevor: No, you're avoiding -- you're avoiding the question.
Kate: It is so good of you to take an interest in my problems -- such as they are -- but it's been a long time since I was an entry-level copy editor fresh out of Princeton, homesick for Connecticut.
Trevor: No, I thought you were brilliant even then.
Kate: You did a lot for me back then, but that was a very long time ago. I can solve my own problems now, Trevor.
Trevor: Don't be so sure.
Sam: Thank you.
Maxie: I have some good news about your mini-drama in the park -- you know, those guys you hired to threaten Elizabeth?
Sam: I had nothing to do with that.
Maxie: I already told you I'm on your side. If you don't trust me yet, that's fine. But I just thought you should know I talked to Spinelli -- as much as anyone really can talk to Spinelli -- and as you know, he's a total computer genius, and he has no idea you were involved, which is great, because that means Jason probably hasn't figured it out yet, either.
Sam: All right, you know what, Maxie? You are making a lot of assumptions here.
Maxie: Well, you better hope that I'm right. If Jason does eventually find out, things will get really ugly.
Lucky: Kids asleep?
Elizabeth: Yeah, Cam wanted me to give you a kiss for him.
Lucky: I'll go up in a minute and look in on him.
Elizabeth: Emily came by.
Lucky: Yeah, how's she doing?
Elizabeth: She's doing great. It's nice to see her. We should try to get together with her and Nikolas -- you know, whenever.
Lucky: Yeah, that'd be great.
Elizabeth: Sonny came by, as well.
Lucky: Did he know something about those men who stopped you in the park?
Elizabeth: No, he didn't say anything. But I did tell him that I don't want to see Jason anymore. And that was it, and then he left, so I don't expect either one of them to be coming back.
Lucky: Is that supposed to make everything better?
Elizabeth: Are you trying to fight with me? Because I'm cutting ties with Jason -- isn't that what you want?
Lucky: Not if you're going to act like this.
Elizabeth: I'm just telling you what happened, and that I'm not going to see Jason anymore.
Ric: I'm following up on the incident in the park yesterday -- the thugs that confronted Elizabeth?
Spinelli: Well, you should be out looking for the evildoers, not harassing Stone Cold.
Ric: Your new bodyguard?
Spinelli: Stone Cold has nothing to say to you, be gone.
Ric: Elizabeth must've been terrified -- just her and her two young children?
Spinelli: Away with you!
Ric: Elizabeth claims that she has no idea what these thugs wanted -- of course, she was probably covering for you again.
Spinelli: Flee, D.A. of darkness. Flee, while you still can flee.
Jason: Are you afraid she remembered something and told me, Ric?
Ric: Why would I be afraid?
Spinelli: You will rue this day, and soon.
Ric: I'm not afraid of you, Jason.
Spinelli: Proceed at your own peril, D.A. of darkness -- preferably, in the opposite direction. And may I give you a little advice? You might want to move down a level -- maybe two levels -- so your skill set is more fitting --
Ric: If Mr. Morgan is threatening me, Mr. Spinelli, you are a citizen and a witness, so you might want --
Sonny: Hey, Ric? If you're after me, have the guts to come after me.
Sonny: Why are you bothering Jason?
Spinelli: The D.A. of darkness seeks information when he should be out --
Sonny: He already knows all about your declaration of war against me. You don't need to repeat it to him in person.
Ric: I'm here on official business.
Sonny: No, I think you're afraid, so you'll make up any reason to harass him.
Ric: No, Elizabeth was terrorized by one of Jason's enemies.
Spinelli: Oh, well, then you know who did it, so it's lovely.
Jason: He's fishing.
Ric: The timing was very interesting, though. It happened right after Elizabeth ran into your arms on the evening news -- I mean, not that you haven't been doing her all along.
Spinelli: Be -- be gone, sith lord! May you be vaporized in an energy coil!
Ric: Somebody's trying to move in on your territory, Sonny, that's what this is all about. And when they retaliate, I'm going to be there.
Spinelli: Flee to your dastardly dungeon of despair.
Ric: Oh -- and, by the way, Kate Howard is going to be rotting in the county jail for about six months at least, thanks to you. Have a good night.
Sonny: You all right?
Sonny: You sure?
Sonny: "Sith lord," "dungeon, dragons" -- what's wrong with you?
Jason: Go upstairs, Spinelli.
Sonny: The kid just gets weirder and weirder --
Jason: He may have found a license plate of the people who may have threatened Elizabeth, and I'm going to tell you this right now. If Ric is involved, he's going to be face to face with Alcazar at the bottom of the harbor.
Kate: It's my own fault. After that reckless driving incident in the Hamptons last year, I should've been more careful.
Trevor: No, but refresh my memory. Who was it that smoothed all that over?
Kate: I haven't forgotten, and I'm very grateful for it -- and everything else you've done for me.
Trevor: Well, don't you think we're a little bit past gratitude?
Kate: I need to stand on my own two feet now, Trevor. You know that.
Trevor: And you have, with grace and style. You have accomplished everything that you set out to achieve.
Kate: Well, most of it, anyway.
Trevor: I'd like to think I helped you a little bit.
Kate: You did, Trevor, immensely.
Trevor: So, let's stop thinking about ourselves in the past tense.
Nikolas: Is it ready? No, you know what? Don't -- don't waste my time with excuses, I want results. And don't -- don't call me back until the answer is "yes."
Emily: Whew. That sounded awfully autocratic, Prince Cassadine.
Nikolas: Well, you know, I come down here and take the call --
Nikolas: And interrupt our time together, and he still hasn't scheduled the closing.
Emily: Yeah, okay. So while whoever that was is scrambling around to do whatever it is that you said, we're here together now and we have until tomorrow morning, so let's just make every moment count.
Nikolas: Okay. Well, there's -- there's that new restaurant on the lake.
Nikolas: We could take a cruise there, have dinner together.
Emily: Ooh. Only if you let me drive.
Anna: May I? Um -- listen. If Eli doesn't sing tonight, then the concert is going to be canceled. And you know better than anyone the fantastic work that Lifebeat does in AIDS awareness.
Epiphany: And I can't risk my job for a rock 'n' roll star who partied himself into brain surgery.
Eli: Hey, I'm much better now.
Anna: Robin, can you do something, because this is your venue.
Robin: Epiphany, Patrick will sign off on this, I promise. In the meantime, I'm going to issue a temporary release.
Epiphany: "Temporary insanity" if you ask me.
Eli: Hey, hey, hey, look, look, I can get you a backstage pass, okay, all access.
Anna: Isn't he fabulous?
Epiphany: Girl, the man can't even stand up.
Eli: I -- I can. All right? Watch this, all right? Rock 'n' roll! Oh Ė
Anna: Oh, oh, oh, oh, it's all right, it's all right. Stop, stop. Listen, just leave this to me.
Audience: Eli! Eli!
Patrick: Eli's in his trailer.
Woman: He's supposed to be onstage.
Patrick: They expect him to be late, it's no big deal.
Woman: He should be out there pitching Lifebeat!
Audience: Eli! Eli!
Patrick: Okay, I'll take care of it.
Woman: He better not be too drunk to play.
Patrick: He's fine, okay, just relax.
Audience: Eli! Eli! Eli!
[Cheers and applause]
Patrick: How you guys doing? Good? You guys ready to see some Eli Love?
Patrick: All right. He's going to be out here in a second. I want to welcome you to the very first Eli Love benefit concert for Lifebeat.
Patrick: What is Lifebeat? In 1992, some music business people got together to help fight AIDS. No preaching, no judgments, just help. Lifebeat is about getting the truth out there, accurate information about how to protect yourself and what to do if you contract H.I.V., because it happens. One hour of every day, two people between the ages of 13 and 24 contract H.I.V. Now, that's a lot of kids, and it doesn't have to be that way. And thanks to you, Lifebeat is using music to help fight this disease and find a cure. But we can do more, right? We can always do more. We can volunteer, can raise money, we can practice safe sex. To learn more, go to www.Lifebeat.org. Now, you guys ready for a little Eli loving?
[Cheers and applause]
Patrick: Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Eli Love.
[Cheers and applause] Ď
Trevor: I have really missed you.
Kate: It's nice to be missed.
Trevor: So, tell me how bad this trouble is.
Kate: Oh, I can give you the details later, but in the broad strokes, the D.A. is corrupt, to say the least. He is determined to push this as far as possible to further a personal grudge.
Trevor: Against who?
Kate: His brother -- who happens to be my neighbor. Beyond that, I have no idea. Perhaps you will have better luck with him.
Trevor: I imagine I will.
Kate: You know, you actually have the same last name -- Lansing. Maybe you could pretend to be a long-lost cousin or something along those lines.
Trevor: Actually, we're much closer connected than that. You see, Richard Lansing is actually my son.
Sonny: We just can't be sure that Ric is involved.
Jason: Ric is obsessed with Elizabeth. He can't stand the thought of Elizabeth caring about me. He's out for revenge, Sonny.
Sonny: Maybe, maybe.
Jason: "Maybe." Okay, look, I know it's your brother, you want to protect him, but not this time.
Sonny: No, it has nothing to do with being my brother. The person I want to protect here is you, and I think you're looking for a scapegoat here.
Jason: Well, Elizabeth wouldn't be the first woman that Ric threatened. Remember what happened to Carly?
Sonny: Yeah, I do, but, you know, you've just been cut off from your only child, you're angry, and you -- you want to make somebody a target, and Ric's easier than Elizabeth.
Jason: Okay, I'm angry because Elizabeth and her children were threatened, and the men who did it said it was because of me. I don't run the business. All of our enemies know that. It doesn't make any sense that someone would want leverage on me. This is personal! And the person who hates me most is Ric!
Sonny: Okay, like I said before, you just gave up your only child, and mostly because Elizabeth doesn't have the courage to accept how you live. You're not thinking clearly -- I get that -- but that gives Ric the advantage. How many times have you told me -- a million times? -- Don't let emotions cloud your judgment? It leaves you vulnerable, and it makes you a target for anybody who wants to hurt you.
Sam: Jason has a lot of enemies. Any one of them could've seen the news footage of Elizabeth running into his arms.
Maxie: That had to hurt.
Sam: No, not really. I was just more astonished that Elizabeth could be so self-centered. I mean, she had just admitted in court to having sex with him, and then she runs into his arms in front of a bunch of reporters when she's supposedly married to Lucky.
Maxie: I know exactly what you're up against with Elizabeth -- everybody thinks she can do no wrong.
Sam: Well, not so much anymore.
Maxie: I would love to see Elizabeth fall off her pedestal -- I'd also love to see Lulu fall right next to her.
Sam: Lulu? She's not giving you grief, is she?
Maxie: For now, but I'm about to turn the tables. I got this total slime, Logan Hayes, to agree to do a number on her -- you know, get her into bed, then dump her, break her heart, make her look like a fool -- but I had to agree to sleep with him for him to do the deed.
Sam: Maxie, trust me, don't -- please, donít. If you're thinking about it, don't use sex as revenge. It never works, ever. It always winds up being a big mistake, okay?
Maxie: Because if you get caught, people call you a slut and eventually you start to believe it?
Sam: Something like that, yeah.
Maxie: Okay, well, at this point, I don't really care if anyone judges me. If I am a slut, I'm going to be the slut who ruined Lulu's perfect life, and that's going to feel good.
Sam: Okay, I guess you have a point.
Lucky: Is this a bad time?
Maxie: No, I was just leaving. And I'm always happy to drop off stuff from the boutique for you, it's never a problem.
Sam: Thanks -- thanks for the coffee.
Sam: Come in. I wasn't expecting to see you. Well, did you find me a bodyguard?
Patrick: No, no, no, no, he'll go on, don't worry about it.
Woman: You can't just wave to the crowd and then go offstage!
Patrick: He knows what he's doing. You better check with security before there's a riot out there.
Noah: [Hoarse] I'm sorry.
Patrick: No. Hey, you tried.
Anna: It's okay, it's okay, we have everything under control, it's all under control.
Patrick: You didn't?
Epiphany: I tried to tell them, but would they listen?
Robin: He's fine.
Eli: Get me out there.
Epiphany: It's not part of my job description.
Anna: Uh, nobody wants to see Eli in a wheelchair.
Patrick: Okay, but he cannot stand. I'm a surgeon, I know this.
Anna: This is not a problem, because we're going to work with what we've got.
Emily: Will you help me into this, please?
Nikolas: I'd rather help you out of it, really.
Emily: Hmm. Well, you will, you will, later -- after our dinner on the lake, and after you let me drive the boat.
Nikolas: There you go. I -- well, I don't really think that's such a good idea.
Emily: Why not?
Emily: Okay, okay, so I went a little too fast last time -- just a little, a little.
Nikolas: You nearly -- you nearly flipped the boat, Emily.
Emily: Uh-huh, but I didnít.
Nikolas: I don't know how someone who is so cautious behind the wheel of a car can suddenly turn into a speed demon when driving the boat.
Emily: Because that's just the way I learned to drive.
Nikolas: Well, then you'll need a jacket.
Emily: Uh-huh, and a scarf.
Nikolas: And a life --
Nikolas: And a life vest. Let me -- I need to get that. I'll -- I'll be right out. Carl. What are you -- what do you -- what do you mean? I told you not to call me until the deal -- you know what? I'm -- I'm sick of your incompetence. The deal's over, okay? I -- look, I'm just -- listen, I'm having some -- I'm having some problems on this end, and -- just -- just do what you can, and call me in the morning. Thank you.
Emily: Hey, everything okay?
Nikolas: Yeah. Yeah, let's go. Yeah.
Kate: Ric Lansing is your son?
Trevor: Afraid so.
Kate: In all the years we've known each other, you never --
Trevor: All those wonderful memories.
Kate: I've never seen a picture.
Trevor: I don't have any.
Kate: I guess if I -- if I think about it, you mentioned a Richard once or twice in passing, but --
Trevor: Listen, my son is just not one of my favorite subjects.
Kate: He's done well for himself. He's followed in your lawyerly footsteps -- he's become a D.A.
Trevor: Richard has always disappointed me. And now that he's bothering you --
Trevor: It's going to stop, and that's a promise.
Kate: I would be so grateful, Trevor. I know how busy you are in the City, and how I would be taking away from your important clients to solve my silly little problems.
Trevor: No -- okay. Look, you've become a very important, influential, powerful woman, and with success like that, it could've created sort of a distance between old friends. But isn't it nice that I can still be used?
Sonny: Do you have a warrant?
Ric: Just an update. Kate Howard offered to dump you today -- and all association -- if I would just drop the charges of reckless driving against her.
Ric: She also offered to tell the world that you're bipolar, unstable, nuts. I haven't taken her up on it, but I don't know -- maybe I should reconsider.
Max: Boss, I'm at the Metro Court, there's a problem.
Sonny: What's wrong?
Max: The New York City mob boss, Anthony Zacchara?
Sonny: He's not -- he's not at the Metro Court?
Max: No, he's not, but his attorney is. He's been with Kate Howard in her hotel room -- for the last hour and a half.
Spinelli: Stone Cold?
Spinelli: Um -- it is I, the grasshopper.
Jason: I know who you are, okay?
Spinelli: Is -- is Mr. Corinthos, Sir still here?
Jason: No, he's not, and quit whispering.
Spinelli: Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay. Um, all is good. Great.
Jason: Did you trace the car?
Spinelli: Nothing can elude the Jackal.
Jason: What'd you find?
Spinelli: Uh, just name, phone, latest known address of one of the potential predators.
Jason: Okay. All right, I want you to give me the address, all right?
Jason: Because I -- I'm going to get some answers.
Lucky: It's obvious you need a bodyguard, and after the way you stepped up with Elizabeth and the boys, it should be me.
Sam: I thought it through, and I -- I think I actually decided that my bodyguard should be anybody but you.
Sam: "Why?" You and Elizabeth are trying to work things out, and the last thing she wants is you hanging around with me.
Lucky: It's a second job, that's all -- all cops moonlight.
Sam: She's not going to see it that way.
Lucky: It's not her call.
Sam: I am willing to pay top dollar.
Lucky: That's very generous.
Sam: I can't really take any credit for it. I'm going to bill it to the show. Let Amelia and the show pay for my protection.
[Knock on door]
Lucky: Well, I might as well start now.
[Cheers and applause]
Patrick: This is crazy.
Robin: No, it's going to work, it's going to work.
Anna: It's going to be fine. All your dad has to do is play the guitar, act the part, and Eli will do the rest.
Noah: [As Eli, hoarse] All right, Port Charles! Are you ready for this?
Man: Damn -- we lost the vocals!
>> On the next "General Hospital" --
Jason: Why did you threaten Elizabeth Spencer?
Sonny: What's Trevor doing here?
Kate: You've been spying on me?
Man: We got it -- mike's on, people.
