Tracy: How predictable.
Lulu: Are you serious?
Tracy: For Scott Baldwin to roll into a town called Hollingsbeck, Texas, get the local floozy pregnant, and then leave town without even a backward glance? That is just his style.
Lulu: So Scott really does have a son out there someplace?
Tracy: All we have to do is find him.
Logan: Lulu is going to be so turned on that she's going to be ripping my clothes off.
Maxie: Does it bother the other women you sleep with when you shout your own name during sex?
Logan: You know what? You're going to see for yourself very soon.
Maxie: Not until you sleep with Lulu.
Logan: If you want to watch, that's kinky, but I'm cool with it.
Sonny: Logan? Is this how you do your job?
Carly: Michael, I want you guys to go upstairs and watch a video now.
Michael: Uh -- why? Where's Jax?
Jerry: Well, your mother need to have a chat about that very subject.
Jason: Ransom? If taking Jake was about money, we would've heard from the kidnappers by now, okay? So, listen, money's out. I need to follow Sam and Amelia; I need to follow up on them.
Spinelli: Okay, so maybe Amelia -- maybe Amelia took baby Jake to make Samantha look bad.
Jason: Yeah, that's -- that's possible.
Spinelli: It pains me -- it pains me deeply that you doubt your beloved, that's all.
Jason: I am just trying to be objective. Look, Spinelli, it doesn't -- just doesn't make any sense, okay? It makes no sense that Amelia would come in, tell me that she hates Sam, that she wants Sam to pay for her father's death, and all of a sudden kidnap Jake. It doesn't make any sense, it's too obvious.
Spinelli: Okay, so you're thinking on the other hand --
Jason: So, you know, I've known Sam for almost three years, I've been with her 2 1/2 -- I know her, okay? She is hiding something from me, and whatever it is, is killing her.
Sam: I didn't realize you had made bail.
Spinelli: Uh, Stone Cold just walked in a few minutes ago. Isn't it -- isn't it awesome?
Sam: Yeah. I mean, you must be relieved. Now you can search for Jake yourself. Unless you still think I took him?
Amelia: Maureen Harper refuses to sign the release. Can we use her footage under implied consent?
Wes: Without a signed release, the network clearance people won't let us air any of that recreation of Maureen losing her child in that fire.
Amelia: Let alone her interview with Sam. So what are we supposed to do? We built that entire episode around Maureen, we can't just scrap it. Okay, let's think this through. Maureen really bonded with Sam, right? So before we give up, I'll have Sam give her a call.
Kate: Ms. Joffe, I need to speak with you.
Amelia: Could you give us a minute?
Amelia: Are you here to arrange a piece on Sam for "Couture"?
Kate: Uh, Sam doesn't exactly fit our magazine's image.
Amelia: Then what brings you to the studio?
Kate: I would like for you to go public about your affair with Sonny Corinthos.
Sonny: You're supposed to be at your post.
Logan: I've been at it all morning, Sir. I was -- um -- Maxie was asking me a question --
Sonny: I don't want to hear excuses. Keep talking, you lose your job. Otherwise, get back to work.
Maxie: Looks like someone's in trouble.
Logan: Maxie, get out.
Maxie: Well, that attitude won't get you very far with Sonny -- or Lulu, for that matter -- but "get back to work."
Logan: Sir, I wanted to apologize. That will not happen again.
Sonny: You work for me. I expect you to do whatever I tell you to do. Keep a low profile. Do you understand what I'm saying?
Logan: Yes, Sir.
Scott: Okay, tell your ape here to get lost. You and I have a little business to discuss.
Lulu: Assuming you manage to find this long-lost son of Scott's, what are you going to do with him?
Tracy: Position him for maximum damage. Scandal, lawsuits -- ooh, the possibilities are endless.
Lulu: And how does that get you out of here or drop the charges against my dad for kidnapping?
Tracy: It's called blackmail -- very effective tool in people management. Scott won't want any complications, so I'll agree to drop it if he agrees to let me out of here.
Lulu: And what about my mom and dad?
Tracy: Oh, well, that can be negotiated later. That's the best thing about blackmail; it's the gift that keeps on giving.
Lulu: And the son -- any leads on where we can find him?
Tracy: Not yet.
Lulu: Um, does he know that Scott is his father?
Tracy: This report doesn't say. I'll have to have my P.I. dig a little deeper. But it's a pretty safe bet that this young Texan will be very angry at the father that abandoned him. And when he finds out it's Scott Baldwin, gee, I think he'll probably want to sue, which means Scott could, oh, lose Laura, lose his career, lose a boatload of money. Of course, he could keep it all -- if he agrees to drop the charges against me.
Carly: Where's Jax?
Jerry: I have no idea.
Carly: Yes, you do. You called him and you told him you were in trouble.
Jerry: That I did. Unfortunately, I lost track of him.
Carly: Now you're back in town. Where's my husband, what did you do with him?
Jerry: Nothing. Contrary to what you think, I happen to be very fond of --
Carly: Save it, okay, because he's the only person on this earth who gives a damn about you. Can you return the favor, Jerry?
Jerry: Actually, that's precisely what I'm doing for him.
Carly: Where is he, and who is after him?
Jerry: Nobody I know of.
Carly: You tell me where Jax is or get the hell out of my house.
Jerry: Oh, that's a bit harsh, isn't it? Do you want the boys to hear you talking that way to Uncle Jerry?
Carly: My boys are upstairs, they're watching a DVD. They’re fine.
Jerry: Just as good mobster children should be. We don't want the tykes to overhear something too harsh with their innocent little ears, do we?
Carly: I am serious -- you tell me where Jax is or get out.
Jerry: Jax handling himself.
Carly: Do you even care? He risked his life to save you. What if he's the one who doesn't survive?
Jerry: You know what? I'm very surprised you have so little faith in your husband.
Carly: If Jax gets hurt, I will kill you myself.
Jason: I have to try to find Jake.
Sam: The police have been looking for days. What do you think you can do that they haven't?
Jason: Sam, don't do this --
Sam: By the way, if you want to keep the secret that you're Jake's father, you might want to avoid racing all around frantic to find him.
Jason: My -- my son is missing. Of course, I'm going to search for him.
Sam: And when you find him, Jason -- assuming that you do -- what, are you and your little family going to have a happy reunion?
Spinelli: Look -- um -- Samantha and Stone Cold, maybe --
Sam: Stay out of this, Spinelli, please!
Spinelli: But you -- you two love each other, it's -- it's a tough time for all. Let's -- let's just banish the hostility --
Sam: No, this is between me and Jason, okay? You need to leave -- now!
Spinelli: I will tend to my newly assigned task.
Jason: You're mad at me, not Spinelli.
Sam: Damn right I am, Jason! I am angry that you lied to me, and I am "furious" that after everything we've been through, you don't believe in me anymore!
Robin: I'm sending you a copy of Mr. Halstead’s labs.
Patrick: To gloat or surrender?
Robin: You know, that is a really annoying and condescending way to put it.
Patrick: Which means the drug therapy didn't work and he needs surgery.
Robin: It's time to consider other options.
Patrick: You just can't say it, can you?
Robin: Say what?
Patrick: You can't say the words "my way didn't work.”
Robin: What is this, a flashback to the old Patrick?
Patrick: Look, Robin, I love you. But I like to think that I've grown as a person, as a doctor during the course of our relationship, and I'd like to think that you have, too, but you cannot admit it when you're wrong.
Robin: That is completely untrue.
Patrick: All right, you can't admit you're wrong unless you're having a crisis of conscience, where you're blaming yourself for something that's completely out of your control. Now, that's who you are, and I love you for that. But as far as the Hallstead case, that's just pure competitiveness. You want to be the best and you hate it when you're not.
Robin: You are the one that can never admit he's wrong.
Patrick: Robin, it's not bragging when you really are the best.
Robin: You know, I -- I kind of get it. You hold the power of life and death in your hands on a daily basis, so you have to believe in your own greatness because of what you do. But let me tell you something, okay? It is a fine line between self-confident and completely obnoxious.
Patrick: Yeah, and it's an equally fine line between being knowledgeable and a know-it-all, which you cross on a daily basis. You know what? But I don't hold it against you. In fact, I think it's cute.
Robin: If you're implying that I think it's cute when you act like a jerk, you're wrong.
Patrick: Right -- you'd rather me be meek and mild-mannered.
Robin: Where are you going?
Patrick: To scrub up. I have a surgery scheduled. Would you like to observe?
Robin: No, thanks. I think I've had all the greatness I can handle for one morning.
Jerry: There's no need for death threats among in-laws. Come on, Jax is perfectly safe carefully following a trail I carved out for him.
Carly: You admit it!
Jerry: Yes, I do. I wanted him safely out of town incommunicado for a while.
Carly: Is this some big game to you?
Jerry: Actually, this is for his n protection. You see, while Jax was in town, he was overworked defending me against your angry hordes.
Carly: You're the psycho who held us hostage, you shot Robin, you killed Alan Quartermaine!
Jerry: Yes, yes, yes, I know my litany of grievous offenses, thank you.
Carly: You're a murderer!
Jerry: See, that's exactly my point. Even Jax's wife is out to get me. I don't want my brother be subjected to such hostility, understand?
Carly: You didn't lure him out of town to protect him from me.
Jerry: Oh, really? You have a violent ex-husband, you have a bloodthirsty best friend. I mean, I think it's safe to say that they both hate me and want to kill me, and, actually, you didn't make it better. You've been fanning the flames. I don't want my brother to be dragged into this unpleasantness.
Carly: You're not implying that Sonny or Jason would hurt Jax?
Jerry: Oh, yes, I am. Even if he got in the way of their revenge against me.
Carly: They're not going to kill you. You're framing Emily, remember?
Jerry: Well, one can never be too careful. You see, I need an ally, someone who intercedes in my favor, and you and I are going to take this opportunity to get better acquainted, Carly.
Carly: There is no way in hell.
Jerry: Yes, there is. I want you to like me. So I want you to use your considerable energies to keep me alive. Think about it.
Amelia: Sonny and I are not having an affair.
Kate: Oh. Really? What would you call it, "sex on demand"?
Amelia: This conversation is over.
Kate: I walked in on you, remember, and Sonny didn't seem to be objecting, so why deny it?
Amelia: The question is, why do you care?
Kate: Sonny's name has been linked with mine and I'd rather it was linked with yours instead.
Amelia: I'm a television producer. We answer to federal regulators who will pull my license if it is tainted by mob associations. So I will not be going public with any connection I may or may not have with Sonny.
Kate: So then you won't mind stepping aside? I'm sure Sonny can find someone else to date -- the sooner the better.
Amelia: If you're so embarrassed to know Sonny, why don't you simplify things and stay away from him?
Kate: I could ask the same of you.
Logan: I'll get rid of this guy for you.
Scott: Hey, I got a badge, remember? So if you and your orangutan want to go to jail, fine by me.
Sonny: You, go, let Baldwin in.
Scott: Your new employee there -- he's a little jumpy, huh?
Sonny: What do you want, Scotty?
Scott: Well, Luke just sort of snatched Laura and disappeared into thin air, and I'm thinking that he didn't do that by himself, so I started putting one and one together and I come up with you. I think he turned to his old pal Sonny for help.
Sonny: I don't know what you're talking about, Scotty.
Scott: You know, I have seen the evidence on Morgan. He is going to go down for murder -- unless I was to step in and help. So what's it going to be? You going to tell me where Luke took Laura, or is your boy, Jason, going to go to Sing Sing for life?
Sam: This is "crazy" and unfair. You don't believe me when I tell you I didn't take your child! Like -- like somehow I was the one who was dishonest all these months when it was you, Jason! You, who was lying to me!
Jason: Sam, I'm sorry! What am I supposed to do? I need to look at every option at this point.
Sam: Then look at them! According to Elizabeth, she was only a few feet away for less than a minute! In that time, Jake was abducted! She didn't see or hear a thing! Shouldn't you at least ask her a question, one?
Jason: Elizabeth would never do anything to hurt Jake.
Sam: Listen to yourself, Jason. Really, listen to yourself. Elizabeth can do no wrong? When me, I am the woman you are supposed to love and trust, and "I" am the potential child stealer?
Jason: I know that you're angry. But it's more than that.
Sam: Isn't it enough?
Jason: Come on, Sam. I know you. And I know that you're hiding something from me, so just tell me what it is.
Carly: Thank God you made bail. I need to see you right away.
Jason: It's a bad time.
Carly: Jason, Jerry's back.
Jason: Where are you? Okay, I'll meet you there, 10 minutes.
Jason: Carly's in trouble.
Sam: Jason, Carly's always in trouble. It's how she stays the center of attention. This time you're going to have to choose. You are going to have to choose -- Carly's problems or ours.
Jason: Jerry's back.
Jason: He's threatening Carly and the boy. I have to go.
Sonny: I don't know where Luke took Laura. He didn't ask for my help.
Scott: So -- ah -- you saying that you helped Luke get out of town, or was it out of the country?
Sonny: Do you not hear very well?
Scott: You know, you keep denying all this stuff, then Morgan is going to go to jail. Now, how is your number two man going to feel when he finds out that you saved Spencer's hide over his?
Sonny: You're starting to repeat yourself, and I don't know --
Scott: Yeah, well, you know what? Morgan has been carrying you for years, and once he's in prison, you're going to be an easy target, and I am going to declare open season.
Sonny: You're making a lot of threats for somebody who has no power.
Scott: Ah, but you know what? I have got a lot of ambition, yeah, and I am sick and tired of watching that brother of yours, you know, using his power. He just keeps going after Jason, but he lets you slip under his radar. I can't imagine why he would do that, but I guess it's just something to do with the family stuff, huh? Sonny, that's your fantasy, not mine.
Scott: You know, Mayor Floyd -- he's getting kind of fed up with Lansing, as well, and he's going to hand your case over to me. And once Jason's behind bars, I am going to bring the hammer down on you, Sonny.
Sonny: You want to shut down the coffee business there, Scotty? Be my guest.
Scott: Well --
Scott: I didn't know you had humor. That's good to know.
Scott: So, listen, if you want to wise up, pick up the phone and call me. Well. Ms. Joffe, the producer of "Everyday Heroes." Now, why are you in the office of a known mobster?
Spinelli: Stone Cold? Samantha? Okay.
[Knock on door]
Spinelli: Uh --
Lulu: Oh, Spinelli, I'm so glad you're here.
Lulu: Um -- are we alone?
Spinelli: You've no idea how long I've waited for you to say those words. Uh -- uh -- but, unfortunately, cruel fate must keep us apart.
Lulu: What -- why? Are you busy?
Spinelli: Uh -- Stone Cold gave me some projects to work on, you know, one of which, of course, is searching for the missing innocent one, which could also exonerate Samantha, because despite her inconsistent and volatile behavior, she most certainly did not abduct Stone Cold's progeny.
Lulu: I -- I know how much it means to you to help search for Jake -- and I love him, too, and I want him found safely more than anything but could you do me a huge favor and just take a three-minute break? I need you to do a background check on someone.
Sam: Where's Amelia?
Wes: Running an errand. She wants you to call Maureen Harper ASAP.
Wes: Maureen's refusing to sign the release for the fire safety segment. So since you bonded with her during the shoot, Amelia's hoping you could convince her to let us air the piece.
Sam: Ha-ha! Yeah, um, tell Amelia she can go to hell.
Wes: More creative differences?
Sam: Yeah. Get used to it.
Maxie: I have the clothes you guys ordered from the Metro Court boutique?
Sam: And I am not in the mood for a fitting. And you know what? From now on, can you tell wardrobe I will pick out my own damn clothes?
Maxie: Well, congratulations. You're officially a diva.
Sam: No, I'm officially pissed off.
Maxie: Okay, not to intrude, but you were really nice to me when I started working at the Metro Court, and if you need a friend to talk to, or maybe just listen --
Sam: Okay, I may as well say it to someone. Maybe I can actually make myself face what's really going on. Jason and I are falling apart, and I'm trying really hard to reconnect with him, but the more I try, the more he pulls away.
Maxie: Well, maybe you should just cut your losses. I know it sounds bad, but it's easier than a long, drawn-out ending.
Sam: No, but Jason and I are planning to spend the rest of our lives together. That's not easy to give up on.
Maxie: Look, okay, I know this doesn't compare at all, but I thought I felt that way about Lucky, and after a lot of anger and humiliation and tears, I realized you can't make someone love you, and you're only going to hurt yourself more if you try.
Kate: I don't want to hear another word about Sonny Corinthos. The subject is closed. No, he came to my hotel and he left -- nothing happened and nothing ever will. I'm seri-- oh --
Jerry: Oh, I'm sorry.
Kate: Oh -- no, excuse me.
Jerry: No, no, no, no need to apologize. I've had a few accidents here.
[Kate and Jerry chuckle]
Kate: Well, that's very nice of you to say.
Jerry: I'm -- I'm Jerry, Jerry Jacks.
Kate: Kate Howard. Wow, this is quite a coincidence. I've recently renewed my acquaintance with your brother.
Jerry: Oh. I see. Well, leave it to Jax to know the most beautiful and accomplished women in town.
Kate: Ah. I see that charm runs in the family.
Jerry: Yes, you see, our mother was a stickler for good manners.
Kate: Well, the women of the world owe her a debt of gratitude.
Jerry: You're pretty charming yourself, Kate -- may I call you Kate?
Kate: Please do -- Jerry.
Jerry: So, um, how do you know Jax?
Kate: Oh, well, we met at a party in Monte Carlo years ago.
Kate: No, we were with other people and -- I don't know. Your brother, he's quite a standout -- his warmth and gallantry and his sizable earnings at the baccarat table.
Jerry: Yes, yes, my brother and I are very skilled at games.
Kate: So, are you here visiting him?
Jerry: Oh, no, actually, he's out of town, which is a shame because I would've asked him to invite you for a drink -- to get to know you better, of course.
Kate: Well, you don't need your brother, Jax, to run interference for you.
Jerry: Oh, does that mean that you're accepting my invitation for a glass of wine?
Kate: Oh, that's strange. It appears the staff is staring at us.
Jerry: So they are.
Kate: You know what? It must be me -- I run a magazine. It happens from time to time.
Jerry: Well, actually, I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I think -- I think they're looking at me. You see, they think I'm a homicidal maniac.
Jason: Hey. What are -- what are you doing? Why -- why do we need to meet here?
Carly: Because Jerry got into my house when I wasn't home, he could've bugged the whole place. And if I met you upstairs in the hotel lobby and he followed me here, he'd get into some big confrontation with you, and I can't handle that right now.
Jason: Just calm -- calm down.
Carly: I cannot calm down. I walked in the house, and he's sitting there on the couch talking to Michael and Morgan.
Jason: I'll take care of it.
Carly: I sent them with Leticia to Sonny's, so we need to figure out what the hell's going on.
Jason: Did Jerry threaten you?
Carly: No. But lured Jax out of town, and the last time he did that he took the hotel hostage.
Spinelli: Uh -- "Logan Houston Hayes, mother, Jaclyn Hayes." I'm -- I'm sorry, blond one, but I don't see any connection between the knuckle scraper and the murderous one.
Lulu: No, no, keep looking. I just -- I have this gut feeling that Scott Baldwin is Logan's real father.
Spinelli: I regret to inform you, but I did -- I did a complete check and -- although, their visages do bear a striking resemblance, and the proposed father and son do exhibit the same slimy, reprehensible behavior.
Lulu: Okay, I get why you think Logan is a creep -- I used to think so, too.
Spinelli: There's no way the Blond One could possibly be softening towards the crabby commando?
Lulu: I -- well, I'm just saying, you know, people aren't all good or all bad.
Spinelli: Well, some come exceedingly close.
Lulu: Well, look at you.
Spinelli: You're comparing the knuckle scraper to the Jackal?
Lulu: When I first met you, you seemed self-centered. You -- you were all out for yourself and you were willing to sell your services to Alcazar -- or whoever paid you the most.
Spinelli: Yes, I was swayed to the dark side by Darthazar's financial rewards, yes.
Lulu: Yeah, and -- and you weren't so great to me, either.
Spinelli: Come on, I've always had the utmost respect for the Blond One. You --
Lulu: Okay, when we were trapped in Alcazar's warehouse, you bailed at the first chance that you got and ran all the way to Tennessee at your granny's house.
Spinelli: I -- ooh -- I will eternally regret my cowardice in deserting the Blond One; in fact, I have most humbly pledged to -- to redeem my character --
Lulu: Yes, and you have -- you've redeemed yourself a hundred times over, and I was -- I was completely wrong about you. You -- you are kind and generous and you make me laugh. You're one of my closest friends.
Spinelli: Thank you. Your words touch my soul. Yeah, okay, I -- I see your point. Um -- but in regards to the crabby commando, I got to warn you, sometimes a jerk is just a jerk.
Scott: So -- uh -- what are you going to do, an expose on all of Sonny's crimes? Because I'd be more than happy to offer commentary.
Amelia: I'm here to do damage control.
Scott: Really? With a known criminal?
Amelia: I don't want my star, Sam McCall, tainted by her boyfriend's legal mess, or by her regrettable past with Mr. Corinthos.
Sonny: I got nothing to say.
Amelia: Good, I'll hold you to that.
Scott: Say, I don't think we've officially met. I'm Scott Baldwin, special prosecutor for the D.A.’s office, and I'm glad that you're concerned about organized crime. And if you want to invite me on your show, I'd be more than happy to come on and talk about how I'm going to clean up the crime in this town.
Amelia: I may take you up on that.
Scott: I hope so, I do. You know, you better start showing some respect for authority, otherwise you and your bad attitude are going to go to jail.
Logan: You don't deserve my respect. What you do deserve is a fist to the face.
Scott: You know, that first punch was free. You hit me again, and I'm going to hit back real hard.
Amelia: Kate Howard wants us to start dating publicly.
Sonny: Kate Howard wants a lot of things -- doesn't mean she's going to get them.
Amelia: Sonny, you have to promise me you'll keep quiet. The exposure could ruin my career.
Sonny: Believe me, I like my private life, and that's the way it's going to be.
Sonny: Hold on. Hello? When did this happen?
Kate: Well, I'm not familiar with homicidal maniacs, but you don't seem the type.
Jerry: Well, you see, it's an unfortunate case of mistaken identity. I mean, do you remember back in February, this armed gunman with a group of men came in and took a lot of people hostage in this very lobby?
Kate: Yeah, I read about the incident, but how do you fit in?
Jerry: Well -- well, it seems that I bear an unfortunate resemblance to the ringleader.
Kate: But you're staying here anyway?
Jerry: Well, it's the best hotel in town, and besides, you know, I -- I have to support my brother's business ventures.
Kate: Mm-hmm. We have a similar approach to uncomfortable situations -- ignore the naysayers and face adversity head-on.
Jerry: Yes, that's the only way to get what you want.
Kate: I so agree.
Jerry: So what brings you to the Metro Court, business or pleasure?
Kate: I'm staying here while I remodel my weekend home, and when it is done, I hope that you and Jax will be my first dinner guests.
Jerry: Oh, well, that's the best offer I've had all day.
Jason: Okay, I need to know everything Jerry said.
Carly: When I got back from the police station after visiting you, I walked into the house, and Jerry is sitting on the couch talking and playing with Michael and Morgan. I sent the boys upstairs and I asked Jerry where the hell Jax was, and he said -- and admitted -- that he sent him out of town!
Jason: Did he say why?
Carly: He wanted to keep Jax out of harm's way so Jerry and I could work out our differences, and that I would defend him to you and Sonny.
Jason: Oh. What, so Jerry wants you to keep the peace between us and him?
Carly: The problem is Jax defends Jerry all the time. He has a blind spot when it comes to him, and I don't trust Jerry, but Jax --
Jason: Does -- does Jerry pose an active threat?
Carly: To my marriage, yes! I mean, thanks to Jerry, Jax is going to be gone for weeks, maybe a month, Jason.
Jason: Carly, I'm sorry, if you're not in immediate danger, I got to go.
Carly: Why? What are you doing?
Jason: I can't -- I can't do this right now.
Patrick: I can look at Mr. Halstead's labs now.
Robin: It's okay.
Patrick: I thought you said he needed surgery.
Robin: It's been handled. The lesion is going to be removed next week.
Patrick: Oh, who's doing the procedure, Wartz?
Robin: Drake -- Senior.
Robin: Yes, your father spoke with Mr. Halstead this morning about --
Patrick: You replaced me with my father?
Robin: I asked Noah to consult with one of my patients.
Patrick: Don't you ever go behind my back to my father again.
Robin: I can refer my patients to whomever I choose, and don't "you" ever order me around again.
Lulu: So, thank you for your help, Spinelli, I really appreciate it.
Spinelli: I'm sorry the Jackal wasn't more of an assistance.
Lulu: Well, you tried your best.
Spinelli: Yeah -- for a cause that I don't think is worthy of the Blond One's time and energy.
Lulu: I know that you don't like Logan.
Spinelli: The simian one is unworthy of your awesomeness, okay?
Lulu: Okay -- okay, I get it.
Spinelli: And I also don't think it's wise to use Samantha and Stone Cold's abode to invite in unsavory characters.
Lulu: Okay, well, if -- if Jason or Sam have a problem, I'll just explain that it was my idea.
[Knock on door]
Logan: Lulu asked me to come over.
Spinelli: Yes, I will defer to the Blond One's wishes and allow you to enter.
Logan: You do that. So you got access to Jason Morgan's penthouse, huh? Sweet. What can I do for you?
Lulu: Actually, it's what I can do for you.
Alan: You realize that Lulu knows more than she's saying?
Tracy: About Scott's son? How could she?
Alan: Well, I don't really know, but -- um -- how about that techie geek, Spinelli, who's always lurking around? Maybe he dug something up and he told Lulu.
Tracy: You're getting suspicious in your old age.
Alan: Well, first of all, ghosts don't get older, and, secondly, did you happen to notice how preoccupied Lulu was when you were reading the P.I. report, and then she couldn't get out of here fast enough?
Tracy: Well, who would want to stay here any longer than they had to? I certainly don't.
Alan: I don't know why. I mean, you and I can just hang out and chat, and no one will think how crazy you are because they already know.
Tracy: You think you're funny?
Alan: You need me, Tracy.
Tracy: Alan, you are the reason I am in this place!
Alan: I am your reality check; I'm the one who whispers the cold, hard truth in your ear.
Tracy: Well, why don't you fly off to the great beyond, and we'll see how it goes without you?
Scott: Oh -- come on, Tracy. You must be getting a little tired of the crazy act.
Tracy: And are you getting a little tired of being such a fool?
Scott: No, not really. I just wanted to let you know that the deal -- it's still up on the table.
Tracy: Well, that's a coincidence. I have a deal for you.
Jerry: Hello, Marty. I see that you're ably holding down the fort while my brother's away.
Marty: What can I do for you?
Jerry: I need you to give this to my brother. It's a -- a check for the cost of the window I broke at my last stay at the Metro Court.
Marty: I'll make sure he gets it.
Jerry: Thank you. See, I have no one else to blame but myself for the incident. I mean, after all, it's not as if someone had a gun to my head. Have a good day, Marty.
Man: You're coming with us.
Jerry: It seems that way.
Jason: Come on, who puts an auto-lock on a boiler room door?
Carly: We did it after the hostage crisis. We thought if someone tried to sabotage the boiler, they would get locked in.
Jason: Sabotage the boiler? That -- that had to have been your idea, right?
Carly: For your information, the locksmith said it was a very good idea.
Jason: Well, why didn't you tell me before the door closed?
Carly: Because I forgot.
Jason: You forgot?
Carly: I had Jerry on my mind, okay, I forgot!
Jason: There's got to be an emergency phone in here.
Carly: There is --
Carly: Just hasn't been wired yet.
Carly: That's not going to work because the vault is above and it knocks out all kind of cell reception.
Jason: I can't -- I can't be trapped down here, Carly. I got to get out of here.
Carly: Not a problem, okay? I'll bang on the door and maintenance will come in.
Jason: Fine, you do that. Bang on the door.
Carly: You don't have to be so annoyed with me, it's not my fault. Okay, it's my fault, but I didn't mean to do it.
Jason: I just have to get out of here!
Carly: I'll get you out of here.
Logan: Well, I don't know what you can help me with, but, you know, you're more than welcome to try -- as soon as your little nerd friend here takes a hike.
Spinelli: The Blond One was not making salacious overtures.
Logan: Whatever, geek. You need to leave.
Spinelli: Okay, the Cro-Magnon needs to put his club down, evolve a few million years, and treat the Blond One with the respect she deserves.
Lulu: It's okay, Spinelli. I -- I can take it from here.
Spinelli: Okay. I'll just be outside. If you need assistance of any kind, shout.
Lulu: I will.
Lulu: Don't you ever call Spinelli a geek or insult him in any way.
Logan: You -- you know what? Do you think I like being called "the unworthy --" whatever the guy is calling me?
Lulu: Fine, fine, fine. I didn't -- I didn't invite you over here to fight with you.
Logan: Well, then what is this about?
Lulu: Remember when you told me about your dad, how he dumped your mom and then bailed on her when she was pregnant with you?
Lulu: You -- um -- never told me his name. Is that because you don't know what it is?
Logan: Why are you asking?
Lulu: I think Scott Baldwin is your father.
Tracy: My private investigator put this together for me. Have a look at page three.
Scott: Well, here we go -- the Tracy Quartermaine blackmail express, huh?
Alan: It's actually on page four.
Tracy: Oh, never mind, I'll save you the trouble of reading it. It says that in 1984, you knocked up a woman in Hollingsbeck, Texas, and abandoned her before she gave birth to a baby boy.
Scott: Hollingsbeck -- doesn't ring a bell. It was the 1980s.
Tracy: Well, if you don't want the ugly truth coming to light, you'll order the doctors to release me immediately. This is where you nod and say, "Yes, Tracy."
Scott: Why would I care about some bastard son?
Amelia: I see you've decided to show up for work.
Sam: I'm not staying long.
Amelia: I'd advise you to reconsider that. Regardless of your mother's legal posturing, your contract with us is ironclad.
Sam: Well, I don't give a damn. You want to sue me, go ahead.
Amelia: You realize that this show is all that you have, right, Sam? Your free ride with Jason is over?
Sam: My relationship with Jason is absolutely none of your business, but thank you for your concern.
Amelia: Hmm. He just got released from lockup. Did he bother to call you? How long do you think it'll be before Jason cuts you loose altogether?
Sam: You're enjoying this, aren't you?
Amelia: Yeah, to a certain extent, I am. But I still have a show to get on the air and you need to hold on to this job. You can start by calling Maureen Harper and getting her to sign the release for the fire interview.
Sam: No. Blackmail me all you want, but that woman lost a child. I refuse to exploit her grief.
Carly: I can't believe I knocked that valve off. We are going to suffocate in here.
[Carly pounds on door]
Jason: I doubt it. It's steam.
Carly: You don't know if it's steam -- that thing could be leaking toxic gas! When this room fills up, we could die! Somebody! Help! Come on! How did you do that?
Jerry: For future reference, I'm not very fond of being held up at gunpoint.
Sonny: Shut up! You're not at the Metro Court right now, Mr. Craig, you're at my house. Your games won't fly with me here.
Jerry: If you're tempted to kill me, might I remind you that --
Sonny: I know -- that you have all the evidence against, you know, Emily Quartermaine, but it doesn't change one simple fact. You come anywhere near my family again, I will rip your heart out!
>> On the next "General Hospital" --
Tracy: Why'd you turn your back on your only son?
Scott: I do not have a son!
Lulu: You know Scott Baldwin is your father.
Carly: Put your shirt on now! Okay? I'm a married woman.
Elizabeth: We're hoping we could make an appeal to the kidnapper on your show.
