Jax: Hi.

Carly: Hey. You know, I think Morgan fell asleep before his head hit the pillow.

Jax: Well, he had a really big day.

Carly: Thank you. Mmm. Hi.

Jax: Hi.

Carly: Thank you. Thanks for going to Sonny's for the barbecue, it made the boys so happy.

Jax: Yeah?

Carly: Mm-hmm.

Jax: It made me really happy, too.

Carly: Yeah?

Jax: I love being married to you. I love being -- I love being a stepfather, too.

Sonny: Your friend seemed like he was having a great time, huh?

Kate: We both did.

Sonny: I'm glad you guys, you know, changed your mind and decided to come by.

Kate: See? You're being all gracious while completely ignoring the question. It bothers you to see Carly and your sons go off with Jax, doesn't it?

Sonny: I'm getting used to it.

[Kate chuckles]

Kate: Try selling that to who doesn't know you.

Sonny: So, we haven't seen each other in, what, 20 years, Connie? What makes you think you know me anymore?

Kate: Well, Sonny, you really haven't changed all that much. You were always an outsider, and now it's just with your own family. It's got to hurt.

Sonny: I didn't know you were paying such close attention to how I feel.

Amelia: I guess what they say is true -- you really should be careful what you wish for. God, just a few hours ago, you were standing here wishing that Jake would vanish, and now he has.

Sam: If you're implying that I had anything to do with Jake's disappearance, you couldn't be more wrong.

Lainey: Elizabeth has been under an enormous amount of strain since the beginning of her pregnancy -- Lucky's addiction, the hostage crisis, followed by a difficult birth. You add to that a preschooler running around -- I mean, it's enough to overwhelm anyone.

Mac: So there's a chance Elizabeth did do something to her baby?

Lainey: Elizabeth could be suffering from postpartum depression. And if she is, she may know where to find her son.

[Elizabeth sighs]

Jason: Elizabeth?

Elizabeth: Jake's gone.

Sonny: I'm flattered by all the attention. You know, I didn't know that you were thinking about me so much.

Kate: In the interest of full disclosure, I have not thought about you in years, at least not until I walked into your coffee shop that night, and ever since, the memories are starting to come back. And not just how you carefully avoided ever mentioning your mother or anything about your home life, but also how you spent a lot of time at the Cerullo family's -- that big, Italian brood where you could blend in and be a part of something?

Sonny: The Cerullos were really good people, they took me into their home when I needed it most.

Kate: Well, I didn't even think about it at the time. But now, having seen you with your children, now I realize. You wanted to be part of a family.

Sonny: Family's the most important thing to me.

Kate: Right. Which would explain why you swallowed your pride and invited Carly and Jax to your Father’s Day.

Sonny: I did it for Michael and Morgan.

Kate: It was a generous gesture. And it couldn't have been one that was easy to make.

Sonny: Why are you so nice to me?

Sam: I know what it feels like to lose a child. I wouldn't wish that kind of pain on anyone, least of all Jason.

Amelia: I wasn't trying to imply otherwise.

Sam: Well, then what was all that crap about "be careful what you wish for"?

Amelia: I was just pointing out the horrible irony of the situation.

Sam: Really? Because it sounded like an accusation to me.

Amelia: Look, if anything, I was trying to reassure you, Sam. People say things all the time that they don't mean. You shouldn't -- you shouldn't feel guilty for wishing that Jake would disappear. It's understandable why you would feel that way. Your life, your relationship with Jason -- everything was much simpler before Jake was born. But it doesn't in any way make you responsible for what happened. Look, I apologize if it came out that way.

Sam: No, no, no, please. Look, I am sorry. I'm sorry for coming down on you like that. It's just when I think of that little boy being out there somewhere, I just want to --

Amelia: Maybe you should take the night off. I'm sure Jason could use the support.

Sam: Amelia, if I go down to that station, I'm going to have to admit to Jason that I know that Jake is his son.

Lucky: I want you to tell me everything that happened in the park with Elizabeth.

Maxie: Wait, what's going on?

Coop: Jake Spencer was grabbed from his stroller this afternoon.

Maxie: Someone took Lucky's son? That's awful.

Lulu: Okay, we already told the police everything that we know.

Lucky: And I want to hear it again.

Lulu: Well, oh -- okay. Um, Spinelli and I ran into Elizabeth at the park, we -- we played with the kids for a few minutes, then we came back to Kelly's.

Spinelli: Yeah, and there -- there wasn't a single evildoer anywhere near the innocent one while we were there. All seemed well.

Lucky: Okay, how did she seem? I mean, did she seem distracted or emotional or --

Lulu: Uh, Elizabeth seemed fine. Why?

Lucky: Dr. Winters has just been assigned to the case.

Lulu: Dr. Winters is a shrink. How's she going to help find Jake?

Lucky: She's worried that Elizabeth is suffering from postpartum depression.

Spinelli: Wait, you don't think that fair Elizabeth --

Lucky: Dr. Winters is worried that Elizabeth may have done something with our son.

Officer: Let's go.

Jason: She's upset. Can you give me just a few minutes?

Elizabeth: Jason, I am so sorry.

Jason: Okay, look, you need to tell me exactly what happened, okay?

Elizabeth: I was at the park with my boys. I put -- I put Jake in his stroller. Cameron needed his shoe tied, so I just tied his shoe. When I turned around, Jake was gone. I am so sorry. I should've never -- I should've never turned away.

Jason: Okay, look -- hey, hey, hey, hey. I need -- I need you to focus.

[Elizabeth sighs]

Jason: Just look at me, okay? I need you to focus, I need you to take a deep breath, and I want you to start from the very beginning.

Elizabeth: I already told the police everything I know.

Jason: You might have heard something or saw something that's going to bring Jake back.

Elizabeth: No, that's -- I didn't see anything, I didn't hear anything. One minute Jake was there, and the next -- who does this? Who takes a baby in the middle of broad daylight with his mother standing right there? God, unless somebody found out the truth? What if somebody took Jake because he's your son?

Kate: Look, um, clearly, we got off on the wrong foot as neighbors.

Sonny: Whose fault is that?

Kate: You could've been more hospitable.

Sonny: Yeah, well, you could've respected the fact that my kids were sleeping in the house and stopped that stupid helicopter from flying over.

Kate: Okay, see, now, here I am making a simple observation of how it must've hurt you to see your kids with their stepfather, and you're picking a fight in order to change the subject.

Sonny: Okay, how about if I make a simple observation about you?

Kate: Oh, really? About me?

Sonny: Yeah.

Kate: Fine. Go ahead.

Sonny: Well, I can't help but notice that your life is full of work. You don't have a husband, boyfriend, kids.

Kate: Right. Your point?

Sonny: Well, the Connie Falconeri that I used to know loved kids. She always wanted some of her own, right? But that dream must've gone away, along with your name when you became "Kate Howard." So, the question I'm asking you, Ms. Howard, do you regret choosing a career instead of having a family?

Kate: You don't pull any punches, do you?

Sonny: I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. I mean, you don't have to answer if you don't want to.

Kate: No, no. No, I'll answer the question. Yes. I put my career first ahead of having a family -- I had to -- to get where I am today. And I rarely regret it, until I have an afternoon like today.

Sonny: Nothing like almost having a soccer ball kicked at your head to make you want kids, right?

Kate: Hmm. Your children may be ill-behaved and out of control, but they clearly love you. And your love for them is palpable. And after watching you with your sons -- makes me remember that I may have given up something truly wonderful.

Amelia: Considering Jason's child has apparently been abducted, maybe it's time that everyone is honest with what they know.

Sam: If and when Jason decides to tell me that he's Jake's father, I will be there to support him any way I can. That's all I can do.

Amelia: Jason needs your support now, Sam.

Sam: Oh, I hope this is all over soon. I hope Jake is found, I hope that all of those charges against Jason is dropped so we can get back to the way our lives were before.

Amelia: You mean living a lie?

Sam: Jason is going to tell me the truth. Until then, I can't push it, okay?

Amelia: You might not even have to. I mean, with Jake missing, Jason will probably just come forward on his own.

Sam: No. No, that's never going to happen, he has too many enemies. If any of them ever found out that he had a son -- are you kidding? Jake would be in way more danger.

Amelia: The police need a motive, Sam. If they know that Jason is the father, they can narrow down the list of possible suspects.

Sam: No, the -- the only way I can help Jason is to stay out of it, and, Amelia, you got to promise me -- promise me you're going to do the same thing. No one can ever know that I told you that Jason is Jake's father.

Amelia: It's -- it's your secret, Sam. It has nothing to do with me.

[Sam sighs]

Lulu: This is crazy. The police should be out there looking for whoever kidnapped Jake, not investigating Elizabeth. She would never, ever do anything to that baby.

Lucky: I want to believe that, but we think Elizabeth may be suffering from postpartum depression.

Lulu: She is fine, she -- she loves being a mother.

Lucky: More than anyone, but before Elizabeth went to the park, she told me how exhausted she was at taking care of two children instead of one.

Lulu: I can barely keep up with Cam when I'm baby-sitting him, and I am not a nurse, and I am not waking up in the middle of the night to feed Jake, she is. Of course she's tired.

Lucky: There have been a couple of times where I've seen Elizabeth just cry for no reason. I mean, she'd just been looking down at Jake and she'd just -- she'd just burst into tears.

Spinelli: Look, um, maybe Elizabeth's heightened emotional status is just due to hormones.

Lulu: Spinelli is right. There is a very big difference between a few tears and doing something awful to your kid.

Lucky: I hate to believe that, but we have to consider every possibility. It's the only way we're going to find Jake.

Elizabeth: God, this happened so fast. Whoever took Jake must've been watching me for a while, just waiting for me to turn my back, and I finally did.

Jason: It's not your fault.

Elizabeth: What if an enemy of yours found out that you're really Jake's father and he's going to use him against you, Jason?

Jason: I -- I think they would've made contact by now. More than likely, this was just random.

Elizabeth: Well, if that's the case, then there's no reason to give him back, right?

Jason: No, Elizabeth --

Elizabeth: If it isn't about money, or this isn't about business, and somebody just wanted to take a baby to have a baby --

Jason: Okay, you need to just stop blaming yourself right now, and we need to focus on getting Jake home.

Elizabeth: Okay. I thought about telling the police. I thought if I told them the truth, then someone how the facts will help bring him home. But then if people know, it could put Jake in even more danger. If the kidnapper knows that -- that he's your son, he's going to be so afraid that you're going to come after him, he might do whatever he can to cover it up. Do you -- do you know what I'm saying?

Jason: Listen, listen. At this point, I -- I think it's safer for Jake if -- if nobody knows that I'm -- that I'm his father. But I promise you I will do whatever it takes to find our son.

Jax: Hey.

Michael: Hey.

Carly: What are you doing?

Michael: Going to watch TV.

Carly: Don't you have school tomorrow?

Michael: Yeah, but it's not fair. I'm older than Morgan. I think I should stay up later than him.

Carly: No, no, no one's staying up late, okay? You need to go upstairs, lights out, go to bed -- no video games.

Michael: But I'm not even tired.

Carly: But you're going to be tired tomorrow if you don't get any sleep tonight.

Michael: Please, Mom, just a little bit of TV?

Carly: 30 minutes, that's it. Oh, right here?

Michael: Yes.

Carly: Okay.

Jax: Oh, okay.

Carly: All right.

Michael: Biggest world news.

[TV turns on]

Jax: Yeah, well, I don't see any harm in the boys playing a few video games.

Carly: Hmm.

Jax: It would occupy them for hours, and imagine what we could do with all that free time.

Carly: Yeah. Hold on.

TV Announcer: Police have issued an amber alert for a 1-month-old Port Charles boy. Jacob Martin Spencer was abducted from his stroller in Ryce Park this afternoon.

Carly: Oh, my God.

TV Announcer: The baby was last seen wearing a blue knit cap with the name "Jake" embroidered on the front. If anyone has any information on the --

[TV turns off]

Carly: Hey, that's enough TV. Okay?

Michael: Hey, Mom?

Carly: Yeah?

Michael: Why would someone want to take Lucky and Elizabeth's baby?

Carly: I don't know, baby. I don't know.

Kate: It's ironic -- looking back, thinking about which one of us would have become a parent. Well, that -- the caveat being that we --

Sonny: "Caveat" -- that's a great word.

Kate: I know. It is, it's actually one of my favorites. I try not to say it too often to avoid sounding pretentious.

Sonny: Kate Howard, pretentious? Never.

Kate: Well, all right. Maybe just a little bit, but it's just for effect.

Sonny: Yeah, well, you -- you doing this ice queen stuff is -- you're great at it.

Kate: Yeah, see -- okay. The subject at hand is your children, not my allegedly inflated ego.

[Kate sighs]

Kate: I have to admit, I never imagined the dark, dangerous Sonny Corinthos ending up a family man. Tell me, how did that transformation take place?

Sonny: Accident -- Carly already had Michael. So when I --

Spinelli: Step aside, muscle man, Mr. Corinthos will want to see me!

Milo: "Mr. Corinthos, Sir" does not want to be disturbed.

Spinelli: God, I don't have time for this! Come on, we are at def-con one! The innocent one is in dire need of Mr. Corinthos' assistance!

Kate: Okay, perhaps you should attend to that.

Sonny: Yeah. Milo, let him in!

Spinelli: Hey --

Sonny: What is the problem here?

Spinelli: Look, the innocent one is in mortal danger, okay? Mr. Corinthos, Sir, please, you have to team up with the Jackal to save him.

Logan: Where's the fire?

Maxie: No fire, missing baby.

Logan: What?

Maxie: Lucky's son was kidnapped from the park this afternoon.

Logan: And you want me to go look for him?

Maxie: No. I'm pretty sure the police have that covered.

Logan: Then why did you call me?

Maxie: Because Lulu's really upset, she was with Elizabeth when Jake was taken.

Logan: Oh, that's great -- Lulu's nephew is missing and you want me to go work her?

Maxie: Hey, all I said was Lulu was upset; I didn't say you should take advantage of that. You got that on your own.

Logan: Uh-huh, if you say so.

Maxie: Look, no one's forcing you to hit on Lulu, so if you want to let this chance pass you by, feel free. I'm just saying if you don't get Lulu into bed, I'm never going to sleep with you.

Logan: Oh.

Lulu: Okay, what are we looking for?

Lucky: A recent photo of Jake – the press needs it for the Amber Alert.

Lulu: Um, I -- I took some pictures of him with Cam the other day on Elizabeth's camera, maybe they're still on there.

Lucky: Okay, try the desk, center drawer. I'm going to go up to Jake's room and see if there's anything missing or out of place.

Lulu: Why? Because maybe when Elizabeth decided to abandon her baby or put him in a ditch somewhere, she remembered to bring his favorite blankie with her?

Lucky: What, do you -- do you think that I want to believe Elizabeth had something to do with this?

Lulu: I don't see you defending her.

Lucky: Elizabeth was the last person to see Jake! Whether I like it or not, that makes her a suspect! And if for -- God for-- God forbid, if she did do something to Jake, how can I ever forgive her?

Jason: It's okay. When -- when did you decide to take Jake and Cam to the park?

Elizabeth: Um -- this morning. It was really beautiful out and I had the afternoon off, so I thought I'd just pick them up after -- after I got off of work.

Jason: Okay, when you first got to the park, did you go straight to the playground, or did you make a stop -- ice cream, bathroom?

Elizabeth: We went right for the swings. Then I had a spot there, and Lulu and Spinelli showed up --

Jason: Did you know they were going to be there?

Elizabeth: No, no, no. I think they were just crossing through, and, of course, Spinelli was admiring Jake like he always does, and so I let -- I let him hold him. And then Sam showed up.

Jason: Was she looking for -- was she looking for you?

Elizabeth: No. No, I don't -- I don't think so. She was just -- she said she was out taking a walk because it was a beautiful day, and -- and she was going to get a smoothie or something -- I don't know.

Jason: Well, did she stay long?

Elizabeth: A few minutes. We talked about the boys, then she left shortly after Spinelli and Lulu left.

Jason: Okay, was there -- was there anybody else in the park? Was there any kids?

Elizabeth: No.

Jason: Any kids? Other kids?

Elizabeth: Yeah, there was a family packing up when we were leaving, and there was -- there was an older couple. They were just walking by, and Cameron had said hi to them. There was teenagers, there was people all over, but nobody was paying attention to Jake.

Jason: Okay, when, exactly, did you realize Jake was gone?

Elizabeth: I just put him in the crib -- put him in the stroller. Cameron just needed his shoes to be tied, and so I was just tying his shoes. And it was only a few feet away, okay, and I turned around, and the stroller was empty.

Jason: Did you see anybody walk by --

Elizabeth: No.

Jason: When you were tying Cam's shoes?

Elizabeth: No, I wasn't paying attention! I mean, we were sitting next to a path, but, Jason, I should've been more careful.

Jason: It's -- it's okay, you didn't do anything wrong.

 [Door opens]

Mac: What are you doing here?

Jason: The guard brought me up

Lainey: We need to ask you a few more questions.

Jason: Forget it.

Carly: I feel guilty, knowing that my boys are safe upstairs and little Jake is missing.

Jax: Yeah, I can't imagine what Lucky and Elizabeth are going through right now.

Carly: I can. Michael and Morgan were both taken away from me, and it's awful. I mean, I never felt so scared and helpless. I mean, all you can do is sit there and wait and wonder if they're dead or alive.

Jax: Well, Michael and Morgan both came home. Hopefully, the same will happen with Jake.

Carly: I hope so.

Jax: Yes. I can't think of anyone that would want to steal their baby.

Carly: What about Jerry?

Logan: You sure are pushing this whole get-Lulu-into-bed thing. I guess you must be looking forward to the payoff of the deal.

Maxie: Oh, guess again. I'm prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice, as long as Lulu's heart gets broken in the process.

Logan: Why do you hate Lulu so much?

Maxie: Well, I told you everything she did to Georgie.

Logan: Oh, no, no, it's not about your sister.

Maxie: Look, Lulu is no better than me, okay -- if anything, she's worse -- and at least I own the crap that I pull. I'm just sick and tired of everyone putting Lulu on a pedestal, and I think it's time she gets knocked off a bit. You're exactly the guy to do that.

Logan: Mm-hmm.

Maxie: And here's your chance.

Logan: Oh.

Lulu: Well, yeah, the -- the police are doing everything they can, but there's just no sign of him. Yeah, I will call you as soon as I hear anything. Okay, thanks, Audrey. Yeah, I'm praying for Jake, too. Okay.

Logan: Who's Jake? Why are you praying for him?

Lulu: He's my nephew and he was kidnapped this afternoon.

Sonny: Calm down, Spinelli. What happened?

Spinelli: Okay, the innocent one was snatched by an evildoer in the park, okay? The law-abiding ones are scouring the city --

Sonny: Talk English.

Spinelli: Right. Um -- ahem -- baby Jake Spencer --

Sonny: Yeah?

Spinelli: Right, okay -- was -- was taken from his stroller in the park. The fair Elizabeth was merely steps away tending to Cam when -- when baby Jake was snatched, okay? I -- I went down to the station to tell Stone -- Jason, but the cops wouldn't let me see him.

Sonny: Okay, hold -- I'm sorry, I got to -- I got to --

Kate: Absolutely. Of course. I -- I really hope the police find the little boy.

Sonny: I'll talk to Jason.

Spinelli: Okay, great. But there's -- there's something you don't understand.

Sonny: I know Jake is his son.

Spinelli: Great. Okay, well, then you know how hard Stone Cold is going to take the news that his progeny is missing.

Sonny: Okay, he's going to want to break out of lockup to look for his son, so I'm going to go over there and give him -- give him another alternative. Do you understand what I'm saying?

Spinelli: Yeah, okay. Is there -- can I be of assistance?

Sonny: Yeah. What you need to do is get all the surveillance you got from the park, okay, see if there's any shots of Elizabeth and her kids.

Spinelli: Right.

Sonny: Maybe somebody came and talked to her, grabbed Jake. You get it?

Spinelli: Yeah.

Sonny: Just -- whatever you can, you get it.

Spinelli: Okay. Yeah, my -- my cyber services are at your command.

Sonny: Spinelli?

Spinelli: Yeah?

Sonny: Come here. Listen to me, Jason has faith in you, now is the time for you to justify it. Now, you have to think out of the box, which, obviously, it's your specialty. You do what you can to find Jake -- now!

Jason: There's no reason you should have to talk to a shrink.

Mac: That's not your call to make. Jake Spencer is not your son. Who Elizabeth talks to to help find him doesn't concern you in any way.

Jason: Elizabeth is a friend of mine. It concerns me when you're treating her like a suspect when her own son has been kidnapped!

Elizabeth: You think I did something to Jake?

Lainey: I realize that you think you're trying to help, but upsetting Eliz --

Elizabeth: Yes or no? Do you think I would hurt my own child?

Lainey: What I think is that postpartum depression is a very serious illness --

Elizabeth: I am not suffering from postpartum depression, and I did not hurt my son!

Mac: Please, please, everyone needs to calm down --

Elizabeth: Don't tell me to calm down! My son has been kidnapped, and you're here questioning me?

Lucky: Take it easy.

Elizabeth: Do you know why Lainey's here?

Lucky: She's just trying to help.

Elizabeth: She thinks I did something to Jake.

Lucky: They're just trying to --

Jason: If you can't support Elizabeth, then get the hell out!

Carly: When we were in the Metro Court, Jerry used Elizabeth and her baby to keep us all in line. She would have contractions, and he wouldn't let any one of us help her.

Jax: Okay, we've already established what Jerry did in the hotel was terrible. Why do you keep reminding me all the time?

Carly: I'm just saying it wouldn't be the first time that Jerry wanted to hurt Elizabeth's baby.

Jax: Jerry's not even in the country.

Carly: I'm sorry, do you think the hang-ups are a coincidence? Because I think Jerry's trying to get in touch with you.

Jax: Oh, and you think that he wants me to help steal Elizabeth's child?

Carly: I think that framing Emily isn't good enough, okay? He needs leverage here, Jax. Jake is a better hostage.

Jax: Is this how it's going to be from now on? Every time something terrible happens -- there's a death or a fire or a child gets abducted -- Jerry is automatically the suspect?

Carly: I would really like to believe that your brother's on the other side of the planet right now, far, far away from every single person I care about. But the reality is, whether you want to believe it or not, your brother is capable of anything. And you know what? I was someone who helped him get free. So you're going to have to deal with me freaking out and overreacting until we know where he is and what the hell he's doing.

Carly: Hey -- I know he's your brother and that you love him, okay? I know that, and I --

[Carly sighs]

Carly: I hate fighting with you.

Jax: Let's -- then let's stop fighting, okay? Let's go upstairs, we'll check on the boys, then we'll go to bed ourselves.

Carly: I love you. I love you so much.

Jax: I love you, too.

Lulu: The craziest part is I -- I somehow feel guilty.

Logan: Whoa. Hey, unless you grabbed that kid and gave him to a stranger while your sister-in-law wasn't looking, then none of this is your fault. But if you did, you need to tell me right now so we can both go get that kid back before this whole situation gets a lot worse.

Lulu: Why do you want to get involved?

Logan: Hey, you helped me out of a tight spot when Alcazar's guys had me pinned down in the alley, I just want to return the favor.

Lulu: I didn't kidnap Jake.

Logan: Then why do you feel so guilty?

Lulu: Because Lucky and Elizabeth had a lot of problems last summer. It was mainly because Lucky was addicted to pain pills, and he slept with Maxie, which pretty much destroyed their marriage. But then Elizabeth found out she was pregnant and she took Lucky back and I thought it was because of the baby, which is wrong. If she didn't love Lucky, then she shouldn't be with him.

Logan: You're right. You know, a baby does not fix marriage problems. Many times it just makes things a lot worse.

Lulu: Right, right. And that's -- that's initially why I -- I thought it would be better off, you know, if the baby didn't exist, which is completely wrong, and, you know, now I just feel guilty for that.

Logan: Hey, you were just being realistic, all right? The fact is there's a lot of kids in this world that probably never should've been born. I'm one of them.

Spinelli: Hey.

Sam: Hey. What are you doing here? I -- I heard about Jake and I thought that you would be with Lulu.

Spinelli: The Blond One wanted to be alone with her brother, so --

Sam: Yeah, her brother -- I -- I guess Lucky is devastated right now. Do you know if they have any leads?

Spinelli: Look, it's -- it's like the innocent one just vanished into the ether. I'm trying to -- to identify the evildoer that nabbed him, and my cyber skills are seriously being tested.

Sam: Yeah, I know what you mean. I wish there was more I could do to help. I -- the police came to the studio to ask me some questions because I was in the park, and the baby and Elizabeth, and they were all -- what about you and Lulu? Did they ask you guys anything?

Spinelli: Yeah. We -- see, we were -- the Blond One and I were with her brother when fair Elizabeth called to tell him that Jake was missing, so the police just questioned us on the scene.

Sam: Okay. All right, well, what about Elizabeth? Were you there when she made the statement? Does she have anything to go on?

Spinelli: I mean, I -- I think she was just pretty overwhelmed. I mean, I -- all she remembered was helping Cam tie his shoes, and then turning around and seeing that Jake was gone.

Sam: Yeah, that's awful, that's awful.

Spinelli: Hey, um, how about you? Did -- did you see any evildoers in the park today?

Jason: Lucky, what -- what are you doing? Jake is missing, and you're accusing Elizabeth of what?

Lucky: I never accused Elizabeth of anything!

Mac: This is standard procedure. Elizabeth was the last person to see the baby. We have to rule her out as a suspect. Fighting with Lucky will only delay the investigation.

Elizabeth: I can't believe we're doing this. I can't believe we're wasting time when we should be out there looking for him.

Lainey: All we need is for you to answer a few more questions.

Elizabeth: Fine! I'll answer your stupid questions, just, please, go look for him!

Mac: Elizabeth, given your scenario, turning your back while only being a few feet away -- it just doesn't sound like an impulse grab.

Lucky: Okay, what -- what do you mean?

Mac: It's possible that someone followed Elizabeth to the park, waiting for an opportunity to take the baby, more than likely someone you know.

Lulu: I can -- I can kind of relate. I -- no, I -- I used to feel like it would be better for everybody if I had never been born.

Logan: Come on, are you serious? You got all kinds of people that care about you. You got three guys tripping all over themselves to date you, you got a huge family that cares about you, and on top of all of that, you got Sonny Corinthos himself looking out for you.

Lulu: Okay, yeah. No, I know it sounds stupid, but even with all those people in my life, I still felt like nobody would miss me if I was gone, especially my dad. He wasn't around very much when I was growing up, unless you count a few trips to the lake to go ice fishing.

Logan: Hey, at least your old man showed up. Mine never even bothered to do that.

[Phone rings and vibrates]

Maxie: Oh -- hey, Coop. Any word on Jake?

Coop: No, no, nothing yet. It looks I'm going to be here all night. Hey, if I get a break, I'll try to meet you for dinner, okay?

Maxie: Don't worry about me. I'm pretty sure I can find something to keep myself busy.

Lulu: So I take it your dad wasn't around much?

Logan: Oh, try "never." He got my mom pregnant, then he bailed. He didn't write, he didn't call, he didn't care. Not that the bastard was any great loss, but --

Lulu: I'm -- I'm sorry.

[Logan sighs]

Logan: Well, there's no point in crying, you can't change the past.

Lulu: Well, you -- you can't help how it makes you feel. You're -- you're hurt and you're angry. Now I know why.

Elizabeth: I'm going to go pack Cameron's bag because Lulu took him straight to Gram's from the park and he doesn't have anything with him.

Lucky: Yeah, well, Audrey can make do for one night.

Elizabeth: I think he needs to stay with Gram until Jake comes home.

Lucky: Yeah, if Jake comes home.

Elizabeth: Don't.

Lucky: Elizabeth, Jake has been missing for hours. He could be anywhere, for all we know! I mean, he -- he could be --

Elizabeth: Don't! Don't you dare say that! My baby is not dead!

Lucky: Where was all that love and concern when you left Jake lying alone in the park?

Elizabeth: I looked away for two seconds.

Lucky: Yeah, you turned your back on our son!

Elizabeth: He's -- he's my baby. Why are you doing this to me?

Lucky: He's my son, too. And I never would've left him alone.

Amelia: You're going to have to put out a revised schedule. I'm canceling the diving location.

Wes: I thought the network was looking forward to it.

Amelia: Yeah, they are, but I don't want to spend a ton of money on gear and a boat just to have Sam cancel at the last minute.

Wes: Why would she?

Amelia: Sam was very close to the parents of the little boy that was kidnapped. She thought of that baby as part of her own family.

Wes: You sure you want to cancel now? The shoot's a week away. Maybe the police will find the kid before then.

Amelia: Whatever happens with that baby, I doubt Sam's life will ever be the same.

Sam: What are you looking for?

Spinelli: Uh -- security camera footage from buildings around the park. I'm thinking if I can -- if I can hack into the feed and isolate a shot of Elizabeth around the time of the disappearance, it may tell us who nabbed him.

Sam: Oh, look, Spinelli, I know you want to help, but I'm sure the police are already looking at that footage. If they find out that you're tapping into their system, you could be a prime suspect.

[Spinelli scoffs]

Sam: Come on! After all, you were the last one holding the baby.

Spinelli: Yeah, but I would -- I would never steal the innocent one.

Sam: I'm not saying you would. I know that, but they don't, and they don't need to waste their time investigating you when they could be out looking for the real kidnapper. Spinelli, you got to leave this alone.

Spinelli: I mean, I would never want to hurt baby Jake's chances of coming home.

Sam: Hey, do you know if Jason knows about Jake being kidnapped?

Spinelli: Well, I haven't talked to Stone Cold, but, I mean, I'm -- I'm guessing he would, since, you know, all the law-abiding ones are joining in the search. Good night.

Sam: Good night.

[TV turns on]

TV Announcer: Police have issued an Amber Alert for a 1-month-old Port Charles boy.

[Knock on door]

TV Announcer: Jacob Martin Spencer was --

[TV turns off]

Sam: Hey.

Delivery man: Sam McCall?

Sam: Yes.

Delivery man: All I need is a signature.

Sam: Thank you. I've been waiting for this.

Delivery man: Have a good night.

Sam: Thanks.

Sonny: Spinelli told me about Jake.

Jason: Yeah.

Sonny: Okay, they got -- you know, they're looking at all the security camera footage from around the park. You know, all our people are on it.

Jason: Thank you.

Sonny: We're doing as much as we can. How's Elizabeth?

Jason: She's -- you know, I mean, she's worried that maybe a rival family took -- took Jake. They found out he was my son, they took him for leverage.

Sonny: Who, besides you, me, and Elizabeth knows the truth?

Jason: Lulu, Spinelli -- they've kept it secret for months -- and Amelia, but she has no ties to anybody.

Sonny: Well, let's not forget she slept with me.

Jason: Okay, Amelia made it very clear -- she made it very clear she came to town because of what Sam did to her dad. You know, Sam was in the park today.

Sonny: Right.

Jason: Elizabeth saw her. She stopped by to see Jake, and then supposedly went off to get a smoothie.

Sonny: What do you mean, "supposedly"?

Jason: Look, Sam knows that Jake is mine and she has not said a word to me about it. Finding that out, and knowing that you can't have a child of your own must've hit Sam pretty hard. I'm saying a situation like this, you know, could break something inside you.

Sonny: You think Sam took Jake?

[Jason sighs]

Jason: Put a tap on Sam's cell phone, okay, and make sure somebody is tailing her wherever she goes.

>> On the next "General Hospital" --

Elizabeth: You accused me of not loving my son enough to keep him safe.

Amelia: Support him until his baby is found -- assuming that you want Jake to be found.

Spinelli: You think Samantha stole your son?

Jason: Get me out of here today, Diane, please!
