Carly: You have got to be kidding me.
Jax: Well, what did you expect, Carly -- for me to be sitting in the dark here waiting for you to come back to me?
Carly: Well, I definitely didn't expect to find this, Jax!
Jax: Well --
Alexis: Ever since we were married, we've had a very close connection.
Jax: Yes, including the current one. You know, it's an interesting parallel -- I'm here with Alexis and you're with Sonny.
Carly: Great, so what's that -- an ex for an ex?
Alexis: Well, Sonny's not your ex -- technically. I mean, he's still your husband.
Jax: Yeah, which is another interesting question -- how do you think Sonny would feel about you letting yourself into my apartment to do what exactly? Why are you here?
Sonny: You're going to enroll in the police academy, you're going to outshine all the other recruits, you're going to graduate at the top of your class, then when you start to work in the PCPD, I want you to be a model officer. That way, the D.A. can put you in his task force. Once you're in position, you start feeding me information.
Coop: Why pick me?
Sonny: Well, because you've got a great service record and you'll look good to the cops. Plus, you're expendable.
Coop: If you need information, why not just bribe somebody who's already on the force?
Sonny: Because I already have enough people down at the police department on my payroll. I need somebody new, somebody the D.A. would never expect to be connected to me. You want to stay alive, you'll do the job.
Elizabeth: The last time we were together, there wasn't this much of me.
Lucky: Elizabeth, you're beautiful.
Elizabeth: Oh, now I know you're lying.
Lucky: I'm serious. You know what, just seeing you, knowing that this baby is growing inside of you just -- it's amazing. What are you thinking?
Elizabeth: I kind of feel like a balloon and I'm all of a sudden very self-conscious.
Lucky: Okay, relax. I can wait. We can wait till after the baby is born to make love. I mean, after all, we do have the rest of our lives to make up for lost time.
Elizabeth: Are you sure?
Lucky: I'm okay just as long as we're together -- you, me, Cameron, and this little miracle.
Jason: Elizabeth wants to be with Lucky. You know, the family she's making with him is the family she wants to give my child.
Lulu: Why is this Elizabeth's decision?
Jason: This is the hardest decision I've ever had to make. I mean, if I -- if I tell the truth and destroy Elizabeth's happiness with Lucky, I'm going to tear that family apart. I'm going to be hurting my child, and Cam -- you saw him today. He loves -- he loves Lucky. I mean, how can I rip that kid's life apart? How -- how can I hurt the mother of my child and my child?
Lulu: But they're not really happy if it's based on a lie.
Jason: Well, which is worse? Keep a secret and then other people can be happy or tell the truth and hurt everyone except myself?
Patrick: What is so awful about me wanting to live with Robin?
Georgie: Why are you so determined to convince her to move in? It's not like it worked out the first time.
Patrick: It's because she didn't give it a chance -- I mean, which makes no sense at all. I'm the one that's supposed to be commitment-phobic and now she's the one running away.
Georgie: Maybe she's afraid of getting hurt.
Patrick: Yean, well, if she keeps this up, she's going to make it a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Nikolas: Let her go. You don't need her.
James: No, but you might. You see, if you develop a resistance to the counteragent, you may succumb to the poison. Having a good doctor in the house may mean the difference between life and death.
Nikolas: I'll take my chances.
James: Are you sure about that? The last time I let your symptoms progress, you were on your knees begging for an injection.
Robin: If you let Nikolas get sick again, he could die.
James: But at least he'd finally cooperate.
Robin: Is this fun for you, playing with his life?
James: I don't know. I was willing to let you bleed to death at the Metro Court for your fellow hostages to be diverted. You were useful in your own way. Now it's time for Nikolas to be useful in his own right.
Robin: If you want Nikolas alive, you will give him the counteragent on time.
James: Oh. You're a bossy little thing, aren't you? Could be fun, but at the same time, it could be also tedious, so why don't you come and finish tidying me up?
Nikolas: Robin, come on.
Robin: No, it's fine. I got it.
James: The histrionics are me cross, and when I'm cross, people die. I can think of a number of potential victims -- Emily, Elizabeth, jobbing Robin's boyfriend. What's his name again? It's something -- something Irish. Patrick, Patrick -- that's right. So do as you're told or it won't be St. Patrick's Day. Do I make myself clear?
Nikolas: There's no reason for you to drag anyone else into this.
James: Well, if anyone gets hurt, it'll be because you and Dr. Scorpio have disappointed, inconvenienced, and made my life very unpleasant.
Robin: When you get caught, it won't be our fault, because someone will recognize you.
James: Oh, I'm not as recognizable as you think. The only instance where I showed my face outside the Metro Court was when a thoughtful law enforcement official sent the media away. There are no photographs of me, and the best the police could find was a composite sketch of myself which, fortunately, doesn't do me justice. So, you see?
Robin: You'll live. There is a slight chance that you could develop an infection.
James: Wishful thinking?
Robin: Huh. I'll bring antibiotics with me the next time I come.
Nikolas: What did he say to get you here?
Robin: Oh -- nothing. Patrick in a fight and I came over to ask you if I could rent a room for me for a while.
James: Yes. Robin was writing you a note when I had the pleasure of renewing our acquaintance.
James: Jobbing Robin, we meet again.
Nikolas: You don't have to do this.
James: Well, someone does. So if you'd like to make a substitution, there will be some ground rules. To begin with, Robin's replacement will have to have the same skill set. , Tell me -- which medical professional will take her place? Emily, or our mother-to-be, Elizabeth?
Lulu: Hypothetically speaking, what if everybody shared custody? I mean, you would tell the truth and -- and Lucky would be upset, but he would forgive Elizabeth eventually because that's what they do, and Sam would be upset, but you know, once she gets over it, she would be able to raise the child, and the kid could stay half the time with you and Sam and -- well, no, because Elizabeth wouldn't want to give up that baby for a second, so, um, okay -- well, what if, you know, you waited to have joint custody until the kid's older? Oh -- well, no kid's going to want to bounce from home to home.
Jason: Especially when one of the homes is with somebody who could be shot or arrested on a daily basis. Their mother's afraid to send the kid to the father's and the kid is going to pick up on that fear.
Lulu: Wow, you've thought about this.
Jason: It's all I think about. When Michael was a baby, I -- I posed as his father. And he spent one year depending on me and loving me. And then, the truth came out and Michael's life got blown apart. Okay, I -- I would've done anything for that kid. I went to court to stay in his life. And when I won that right, I gave him up. I -- I gave up Michael because it was -- it was better for him and now I'm going to have to do it all again.
Lulu: Yeah, but what if the truth comes out?
Jason: I guess I would -- I'd be relieved. You know, I could focus on being a father instead of asking myself over and over if I'm doing the right thing.
Lulu: Hmm. I'm sorry.
Jason: No, I -- I'm sorry, because this is my problem and you shouldn't even have to deal with any of this.
Lulu: Yeah, you're right, you're right -- it's not on me. Elizabeth made her choice and you've agreed, and you're the father, so you get to decide.
Georgie: Relationships are never easy. They take a lot of patience and even more work.
Patrick: Wow -- voice of experience. How old are you again?
Georgie: Old enough to know you don't take off on a road trip to Vegas the day after your girlfriend moves in?
Patrick: Fair enough. I guess the better question is, how old am I?
Maxie: Hi. Have you seen Coop?
Georgie: Um -- no. Why? Was he supposed to meet you here?
Maxie: No, he was supposed to be at work, but I just found out he walked off the job.
Sonny: Well, you could turn yourself in, tell the commissioner how you really met his daughter. What do you think is going to happen to Maxie once it comes out that she was protecting you?
Coop: Hey, if you want me to be a cop, fine -- I'll do it. Just leave Maxie out of it.
Sonny: Well, oh, she wouldn't be involved if you hadn't walked into that hotel and held her hostage.
Coop: It was supposed to be a five-minute job. I didn't want any of this to happen.
Sonny: You helped Craig terrorize my wife! My kids were almost left orphans! You think if I couldn't use you right now, you wouldn't be dead? You tell anybody about this and you will be. Now, get out of here.
Carly: I was crazy think that after we slept together and you left the door open for reconciliation that you'd want to work things out. My mistake.
Jax: Hey, hey, you know what? You're the one that wanted a strictly professional relationship. I'm just trying to honor that.
Carly: Yeah, by sleeping with Alexis, huh?
Jax: Oh, it shouldn't matter who I sleep with -- right? I mean, you're the one that said it's over between us and --
Carly: You are just trying to get back at me for what happened with Sonny! Why don't you admit it, Jax?
Jax: You know, I -- I understand that you have a little different take on life than most, but marrying a man, then sleeping with him while engaged to another, is generally a valid reason for taking offense.
Carly: Okay! What's this?
Alexis: I just needed a little T.L.C., which Jax was all too happy to provide -- with great enthusiasm, I might add.
Carly: Spare me the details. You guys are pathetic -- you deserve each other.
Jax: Thanks for playing along.
Alexis: All right. Well, that was fun. It was also very informative.
Jax: Really? How so?
Alexis: Because if Carly can be jealous of me, now, in this wig, (a), she must be very insecure, (b), she must really love you.
Elizabeth: How's it going over there?
Lucky: Oh -- making progress. A few more chairs and I should have the rest of this put away.
Elizabeth: I know this is probably the last thing you wanted to be doing on your wedding night.
Lucky: No, it doesn't matter as long as we're together.
Lucky: I just -- I don't know. I just wish I'd done something a little bit more romantic, you know, make this evening special.
Elizabeth: Oh, please. Romance is totally overrated. I'd take a bowl of butterscotch pudding over a room full of candles and flowers any day.
Lucky: Well, I think that can be arranged, because I love you, Mrs. Spencer.
Elizabeth: And I love you, Mr. Spencer.
Singer: Are you agile? Are you smarter?
Woman: Thank you.
Singer: Do you want to run a race?
Singer: Will you take down that umbrella? Let the rain fly in your face
Woman: Oh, thank you. Thanks. Perfect.
[Baby stops crying]
Woman: Well, you've got the magic touch. You must be a father. Thanks.
Carly: Jason, thank God you're here.
Jason: Carly, you know what? I don't have time to deal with anything right now.
Carly: I need to talk to you. This is really important, okay?
Jason: Okay, what?
Carly: Jax slept with Alexis.
Georgie: Can I get you any more coffee?
Patrick: No, no. I'm good, thank you.
Patrick: I got to get back to work, but, well, thanks for the talk.
Georgie: Any time. Let me know if I could do anything to help.
Patrick: You mean that?
Patrick: In that case, I want you to go home, crank your music as loud as it can go, throw a pair of red socks in the washer with Robin's whites.
Georgie: Okay, even if I do run Robin out of the house, what makes you think she's going to move in with you?
Patrick: Just do this. I'll take care of the rest.
Georgie: Okay. Did you find Coop?
Maxie: No -- his stuff was upstairs, but he wasn't.
Georgie: Maxie, maybe he just needed a break.
Maxie: Where have you been? I've been freaking out. When I heard you left work, I thought it was because somebody recognized you.
Coop: Well, I went to the police academy to get an application.
Maxie: You're going to be a cop?
Sonny: Good call on Cooper Barrett. With him inside, we'll be able to know every move the cops make.
Max: You think he'll be able to pull it off?
Sonny: I just hope that, you know, Ric doesn't figure out that him and I are connected in any way. So, okay, anything he has, any contacts, it's going to come from you, okay?
Max: Yeah, not a problem.
Sonny: You bring it back to me.
Max: Got it.
Sonny: All right.
Max: All right.
[Knock on door]
Sonny: Yeah, come in.
Mike: Hey. How you doing?
Sonny: Damn. I'm sorry -- you know what? I'm busy right now. Can -- just tell Milo. He'll give you whatever cash you need and we'll figure it out. He'll call the bookie or whatever.
Mike: I didn't -- I didn't come here for money. I -- I know how rough things are with you and Carly, so I thought maybe you'd like to talk, but I mean, why bother when you can pay me off and send me on my way?
Sonny: Mike, wait a minute.
Sonny: But --
Mike: Why? So you can tell me for the millionth time how much you don't need my help?
Sonny: That's not what I was --
Mike: No, I know the way you think, Sonny. You still look at me as the guy that walked out on your mom and left you to fend for yourself. Well, you -- you got along just fine for most of your life without me in it, and that's the way you want to leave it. Okay.
Sonny: Not anymore.
Robin: I want to stay and help Nikolas.
James: I thought you might. Robin couldn't wait to volunteer her services after I explained how much we needed her. Easy, easy. You wouldn't want to pop a stitch, would you? Good girl.
Robin: What are you doing here?
James: Well, Nikolas was kind enough to open his mansion to me so we could finalize a business transaction.
Robin: Nikolas would never help you.
James: Well, to be honest, it took a little persuasion.
Robin: What did you do to him?
James: I injected Nikolas with a lethal poison, such as this. As long as I administer the counteragent every 24 hours, he'll live. If anyone or anything interferes, Nikolas will die. I just needed someone to hang around to monitor Nikolas' condition in case any problems arose, and you are the perfect candidate. Not only are you a doctor, but you hold a sentimental place in my heart. I mean, shooting you provided hours of entertainment during the hostage crisis. And I was wondering if it would be the same thing the second time around. Hmm?
Nikolas: We had a deal -- I help create a new identity for you in exchange for my life.
James: I'm aware of the terms. I was the one who outlined them, remember?
Nikolas: Well, then why are you suddenly changing them? Robin was never supposed to be a part of this.
James: I poisoned you, nightmare Nikolas. I'm hardly qualified to save your life.
Nikolas: I'll be just fine.
James: Robin will make sure of it. You're too important to let anything go wrong.
James: Robin will be moving into Wyndemere.
Nikolas: If you recall, she's recovering from a gunshot wound. She can't wait for the launch to take her back and forth to the hospital.
James: Come on. Robin won't mind the extra effort. Am I right, Robin?
Robin: Not if it helps Nikolas.
James: That's not the only reason you're agreeing so fast, is it? You're probably anxious to take a sample of Nikolas' blood back to the hospital so you can analyze the poison in the lab. Am I right?
Robin: Yes, it would help to know what I'm dealing with.
James: But let me save you the trouble. Nikolas was injected with a mix of toxins that took years to develop. Now, the chances of generating a counteragent are basically none.
Robin: Well, then it shouldn't matter if I try.
James: Well, feel free. But if you bring someone else to assist you, Paddy boy, the hot-headed neurosurgeon, will meet with tragedy. Say -- how about a bullet to the belly? Or better yet, how about something like a graze to the base of the brain?
Robin: You know, you don't have to make any more threats, okay? I get it.
James: I don't make threats, I give options. So if you make the wrong choice, I respond accordingly.
Nikolas: Look, if she's to be moving in, I need to make arrangements with the staff.
Robin: Yeah, and I have to pack, so I'll be back.
James: Well, that won't do you any good.
Nikolas: What won't?
James: The vial that you took from the couch just now -- it's distilled water. One of the many decoys I've made for that same reason. Thank you. One more thing, Doctor.
James: I'll also need some new syringes.
Sonny: I've been watching Jason struggle with his father's death.
Mike: Yeah. Uh -- no one expected to lose Alan like that. I mean, it came out of the clear blue.
Sonny: And it doesn't make it any easier for Jason, you know. He -- he never -- he was never able to connect with his father. Never had a chance. And it got me thinking that if I was ever in that position, you know -- if I lost you -- I just -- you know, I don't want to -- you know, I'd have to -- all those years of wasted anger and resentment, it just doesn't --
Mike: Well, wait, wait -- what -- what are you saying?
Sonny: I don't want to have any regrets. I just would like to put the past behind us.
Mike: Oh, come on, Michael. We've -- we've -- we've tried. I mean, we've -- we've tried millions of different ways. I mean, it never seems to last.
Sonny: That's not your fault, it's my fault. I -- I have a hard time forgiving people. Family's important to me.
Mike: Thank you, Michael.
Sonny: It's not going to be easy. But you know, I -- it's just -- like I said, family's important.
Mike: Okay. All right. Then don't give up on Carly, either. Because you never know when things will turn in your favor.
Carly: So I thought about what you said, about how I have to make a choice between Jax and Sonny, so I go to see Jax. I walk in there, he's half naked, and she's hanging all over him. Can you believe that he would use her to make me jealous?
Jason: Alexis and Jax were married, right?
Carly: It was a marriage of convenience, Jason.
Jason: Well, isn't that what you have with Sonny?
Carly: All I'm saying is I had a reason to sleep with Sonny. He did not have a reason to sleep with Alexis.
Jason: Do you ever hear what comes out of your mouth?
Maxie: Are you kidding? You can't be a cop.
Coop: Why not?
Maxie: Well, for starters, cops don't hold people hostage.
Coop: Nobody in that hotel saw my face but you. Are you planning on turning me in?
Maxie: Of course not.
Coop: Well, then I don't see the problem, then.
Maxie: We're right in the middle of blackmailing Scott Baldwin for Rick Webber's murder, and I don't think the department would look very highly on someone who let a killer go because the price was right.
Coop: I only went along with the blackmail for you. I mean, I'm out of it.
Maxie: Fine, fine -- if you don't want to squeeze any money out of Scott, that I understand, but it doesn't explain why you suddenly just decided you were going to be a cop.
Coop: I stopped a robbery in the hotel, and it got me thinking. I mean, why be a security guard when I could be a cop instead?
Maxie: Because security guards don't get shot and killed in the line of duty. Oh -- I don't want you to turn out like Jesse. Please, I am asking you, don't do this.
Carly: If Jax thinks it's going to work, it's not. He's got another thing coming.
Jason: Okay, can you just count to 10 for me, please?
Carly: That's why I'm here. I need you to tell me that.
Jason: I can't help you with this, Carly. I don't even know how to --
Carly: How what? What are you talking -- what do you mean, you can't help me?
Jason: Just don't do anything crazy, okay?
Lucky: I -- I thought you were staying at the Quartermaines' tonight.
Lulu: I just need to get some things before I go over there.
Lucky: Well, go make it fast. It's my wedding night, and I can't wait to get my wife upstairs.
Lulu: Okay, yeah -- no, I don't need to know.
Lucky: All right. I'm going to make you a deal. I'm going to take the rest of these chairs and put them in the garage, and by the time I get back, I want you to be gone.
Lulu: Yeah, not a problem.
Lulu: Well, I'll get my stuff.
Elizabeth: No, wait. Are you okay?
Lulu: Why wouldn't I be?
Elizabeth: Things got a little tense before the wedding.
Lulu: Yeah, I just want my brother to be happy.
Elizabeth: Well, so do I.
Lulu: Well, then treat him right. I know that my brother screwed up over summer, but he has worked very hard to get clean and stay that way. And the worst thing that could happen to him is for you to go through all this and then change your mind.
Elizabeth: And that's why it took me so long to agree to marry him in the first place. I wanted to make sure I was doing what was right for everyone, especially my children. But I love your brother, and I want to spend the rest of my life with him. I would never do anything to hurt him.
Lulu: Yeah, I hope not.
Sonny: Carly's too stubborn to admit that we could actually work this time.
Mike: Well, wait a minute. Stubborn, or scared? I mean, maybe she's afraid to get hurt again. I mean, come on, three failed marriages? Can you blame her?
Sonny: I can't change what happened to Carly in the past, just like I can't change what happened with you. Yes, I -- I probably shouldn't have gotten divorced in the first place, but -- you know what? I -- this time, I'm going to fight as much as I can to keep her as my wife.
Mike: Oh. Well, good, good.
Mike: Look, I'm glad you finally realized how much she means to you.
Sonny: Well, even if it takes --
Carly: Sonny, we need to talk. What's wrong?
Sonny: What's --
Mike: Wait -- wait a minute. Does there have to be a crisis for me to come see my son?
Carly: Usually, yeah.
Mike: Well, not this time. As a matter of fact, it's turning out to be a surprisingly good day. And, you know, if I really wanted to push my luck, I'd stop by the track, because you never know when things can turn in your favor.
Carly: What was that about?
Sonny: Mike just wanted to talk about things.
Sonny: What about you? What happened?
Carly: Nothing happened.
Sonny: Then what are you doing here?
Carly: I wanted to see you.
Alexis: What do you think?
Jax: Well, more importantly, what do you think?
Alexis: I like this. I do.
Alexis: This is -- I feel good in this. You have good taste.
Jax: Well, at least I'm good for something.
Alexis: You know, you didn't have to have the boutique send me something. I was fine in the robe.
Jax: Well, I wasn't going to have you ride home in damp clothes. Your immune system is weak enough as it is, which is why I don't want you to leave here with just popcorn and wine in your stomach. I got you something real to eat.
Jax: So come on, sit down, and then when you're done, I'll have my driver take you home, okay?
Alexis: You're an incredible man, you know that?
Jax: It's the least you deserve, you know that?
Alexis: As fun as this is -- all of it -- the longer I stay up here, the angrier Carly's going to get.
Jax: Well, I certainly hope so.
Elizabeth: Huh. Okay, little one.
Elizabeth: Huh. Okay, little one. I know it's been a really long day, but the party is over, and it's late, and I need for you to go to bed, so do you think you can do that and stop all this kicking? The closer it gets to my due date, the less this baby wants to sleep. Talking to it seems to help. At least when Lucky does it. Did you get everything you needed?
Lulu: Yeah will you tell Lucky I said good night?
Elizabeth: Lulu, I know how much you love your brother. So if I have done something to make you think that I'm not committed to him, I wish you would tell me.
Lulu: It's the baby.
Elizabeth: What do you mean?
Lulu: When Lucky was using pills, you said that you thought you had to protect the baby from him. And now that he's clean, and you guys are married --
Elizabeth: What do you want to know?
Lulu: I'm trying to figure out if the baby's father is going to be as important to you as this baby is.
Lucky: Okay, what has a guy got to do to be alone with his bride? I thought we had a deal.
Lulu: I -- I was just leaving.
Lucky: Okay. Well, you know what? It was really --
Lulu: Ah --
Lucky: Nice to have you at the wedding, and it means a lot that you were here.
Lulu: I -- and I just want you to be happy. Nobody deserves it more.
Lucky: Thank you. It's good to see you.
Jason: When Carly was pregnant with Michael --
Jason: I agreed to let her say that I was his father. I didn't even care that she was stealing your child. And as Michael grew, I -- I never thought about what -- then when you found out the truth and wanted to take him, I thought you were wrong. But I was wrong. Because I never thought about what -- what you lost, or what I helped take from you.
Jason: I'm -- I'm sorry. I'm sorry you never got the chance to be a father. And now, neither will I.
Jason: Elizabeth asked me to let Lucky raise our baby as his own. You know, I keep telling myself that it's -- it'd be better for the baby, better for everybody else involved, but I just don't know if I have the strength to go through my life never knowing my child.
Lucky: I hope you are hungry.
Elizabeth: You didn't.
Lucky: Butterscotch pudding.
Elizabeth: Do you have any idea how much I love you right now?
Lucky: Well, if it's half as much as our little girl loves butterscotch, then I am a very lucky man.
Elizabeth: Oh, thank you.
Lucky: You know, I've dreamed of this moment. Sitting beside you, holding you and our baby in my arms. Knowing we're a family and we'll always have each other.
Elizabeth: Are you happy?
Lucky: Because of you, I am. You've made me a husband and a father. I couldn't be happier.
Singer: Life has its ups and downs some worse than others
Coop: Oh --
Lulu: Watch it.
Coop: I'm sorry, that was all my fault.
Lulu: No. No, no, no. No, it was mine. I should have been watching where I was going. I'm just a little flipped out at the moment. Family drama. Not that you want to hear that from a random stranger who just made you spill your coffee everywhere.
Coop: I'm Cooper Barrett.
Lulu: I'm Lulu. Um -- it's -- it's nice to put a face with a name. I've actually seen you around the Metro Court. My cousin owns it.
Coop: Well, nice to meet you --
Maxie: Well, this is not going to happen.
Singer: Smiling faces laugh with you
Robin: Excuse me. Do you have a change-of-address form? I need to update my contact information. Thanks.
Patrick: Change of address?
Robin: Yeah, I -- I found a place.
Robin: Wyndemere, actually.
Patrick: You're moving in with Nikolas?
Robin: Yeah. I mean, he has a lot of room, and he could really use the company right now.
Patrick: Are you trying to drive me away?
Robin: Look, it is not like that, okay?
Patrick: I asked you to move back in with me and you refused out of some mistaken belief that it's going to kill our relationship, so you think moving in with another guy is going to really make it work?
Robin: I don't have a choice, all right?
James: What's wrong?
Nikolas: Help me, please.
James: That's weird. The symptoms -- they're starting to hit you earlier than expected. You're not due for an injection for another two hours.
Nikolas: I -- can't breathe.
James: Patience, please. The drugs are coming.
Alexis: You don't have any dessert, do you?
Jax: I have crème brûlée or chocolate fudge cake.
Alexis: Mmm. Both, please.
Alexis: I haven't had an appetite in a long time. I'm taking advantage of this.
Jax: You know, I'm just glad that you're handling this rod of chemo better than the last.
Alexis: Today is a particularly good day.
Jax: Yeah --last year was not good, you know? The cancer and the chemo.
Alexis: The chemo was the piece-of-cake part. I'm going to write a book -- "How to Survive Everything at Once."
Jax: A new bestseller.
Alexis: You think?
Jax: Absolutely. I'd read it.
Alexis: I sometimes wonder what would have happened if I had confronted Ric right from the beginning -- if this thing wouldn't have spiraled out of control, if I had been honest, instead of rationalizing myself into this emotional quagmire.
Jax: Hey, you are more than holding your own.
Alexis: That's because I have good friends. And because you are my good friend, I want you to be happy. So happy that in spite of the fact that you know that I think you deserve somebody better than Carly -- it's my choice, not yours.
Jax: Okay, I should probably go get us some dessert.
Alexis: The dessert can wait. The truth can't.
Jax: I'm just --
