Jax: Well, well, well. I don't believe you two have actually met, have you? Amelia, this is Carly Corinthos. Carly, this is Amelia Joffe.

Carly: Amelia or I has to leave. So who's it going to be?

Jax: Hmm.

Alexis: I remember the good old days when people knocked and I could actually get up to answer it.

Sonny: Hey, I wanted to save you the trouble of answering the door yourself. You don't have to thank me. How you feeling?

Alexis: Now, why would you ask that?

Sonny: Chemo's hitting you pretty hard.

Alexis: Oh, is that what it is?

Sonny: You know, I'd hate for Kristina to see you like this. Maybe it would be best if she stayed with me for a couple of days.

Alexis: No, no, no, no. Please don't do this to me. I just lost Molly. I'm not giving up Kristina, too.

Sam: Lulu told me what happened.

Lulu: Um -- I should've never dragged you into a Spencer family drama, but I needed Spinelli to do the research and he totally owes you. Anyway, I found exactly opposite of what I was looking for and I just want to forget the whole thing. I hope you agree.

Nikolas: I'm not going to the hospital.

Elizabeth: Nikolas, you look awful.

Nikolas: Look, you -- you're pregnant. I don't want you exposed to the flu. You shouldn't even be here.

Elizabeth: Oh, please, I work with sick people all day long. I'm going to call G.H. and let them know that you're coming in, okay?

Nikolas: I'm not going to the hospital.

Elizabeth: Well, then, will you at least let Emily look at you when she gets home?

Nikolas: No, no. I don't want her to know that I'm sick.

Alan: Looking for me?

Tracy: Are you trying to give me a heart attack?

Alan: You want me to stop haunting you, do the right thing.

Tracy: I did. Deal with it.

Alan: That stuff's going to kill you. I keep warning you, but do you listen?

Tracy: Okay, Alan? If I tampered with your will at all -- which I'm not saying that I did -- it was definitely done with the best interest of the family at heart.

Alan: Fine. I don't mind sticking around. I have plenty of time to cross over, as they say. And besides, I love this chair.

Tracy: What are you wearing and what's with the sneakers? And by the way, those assets would've been mismanaged.

Luke: Having another heart-to-heart with the furniture, Spanky?

[Alan chuckles]

Tracy: Sweetheart?

Luke: Hmm?

Tracy: You've lived in the jungle.

Tracy: Oh -- you were born in one.

Tracy: What I mean is you've traveled to exotic places all over the world, right? Surely you know how to get rid of an unwelcome spirit.

Alan: What do you mean I'm unwelcome?

Tracy: As in go away!

Alan: I have every right to be in my own house.

Tracy: It is Monica's house!

Alan: I gave it to her.

Tracy: Then haunt Monica!

Alan: I tried. She can't hear me.

[Tracy sighs]: Oh, oh, just in time. Thank you.

Monica: Tracy, if you're in the den, don't try sneaking away.

Edward: You are about to get exactly what you deserve.

Monica: I am taking you to court. I am absolutely certain that you forged Alan's will.

[Alan claps]

Alan: Isn't she the greatest?

Sonny: First of all, Alexis, I have no intention of taking Kristina away from you.

Alexis: Sorry, I'm sorry. I didn't mean it.

Sonny: I -- look, I just thought it'd be easier, actually for both of you, if she stayed with me for a little while.

Alexis: Kristina doesn't understand at all why the judge made Molly go live with Ric. I'm afraid she's going to feel abandoned.

Sonny: It'd only be for, you know, a little while till you get stronger.

Alexis: I'm worried that she's going to think she can't come back. I can't do it. I'm sorry. You're going to have to find another reason to make Carly move back in.

Jax: Well, I wasn't expecting you.

Carly: Not a problem. You said we needed to talk, but if you have plans, I can get my clothes and leave.

Amelia: As it turns out, a spot I produced is supposed to air in a couple of minutes and I don't want to miss it. Thanks for an unexpected evening.

Jax: Um --

Jax: You happy?

Carly: Ask me later.

Jax: Hey, hey, hey. Are you sure you want to do this?

Carly: Why else would I be here?

Sam: I have a ton of errands to run.

Jason: No, are you sure? Are you okay?

Sam: No, I'm good. I left my P.D.A. at work and I -- Jason, I don't want to be here when that "Everyday Heroes" story runs.

Jason: No, Sam, you don't -- you don't have to leave.

Sam: This whole family situation with Lulu is -- it's personal. I don't -- it's none of my business. I'll be fine.

Jason: Okay.

Lulu: I didn't tell Sam or Lucky or anybody that you're the father of Elizabeth's baby.

Jason: Thank you.

Lulu: Yeah. Well, I wanted to, though. I am so sick of hearing that Elizabeth is doing Lucky this huge favor by taking him back when in reality, Elizabeth is the biggest liar of all.

Jason: No, it's more complicated than that, Lulu.

Lulu: Okay, yeah, yeah, it's more complicated. It's -- it's that Sam really hurt you and you guys were technically, you know, broken up at the time and Lucky was sleeping with Maxie and he was on drugs and that doesn't give Elizabeth a free pass, but sure, it levels the playing field.

Jason: You think like Carly sometimes.

Lulu: Oh, thank you. I just -- I wish I didn't know. Lucky is going back to his old self. He's compassionate and he is loving and he loves his family. And that junkie that yelled at me and -- and was sleeping with Maxie to get more drugs is completely gone. And Lucky's trying to start over and he cares about me and I need my brother okay, so if it -- if it means that I need to keep secret that you're the father of Elizabeth's baby, then I'll try.

Elizabeth: Here.

Nikolas: Thanks.

Lucky: So have you recovered from your grueling ordeal? I got it.

Nikolas: Uh, no, apparently not. Uh -- I'm not feeling too well. I just think I need to get some sleep.

Lucky: No kidding, you look awful. What, painting with the peasants was a little much for you, was it?

Nikolas: No, I just don't think I'm accustomed to manual labor, that's all.

Lucky: Well, you were fine a few hours ago. I'm sure if Emily realized that, you know, you weren't --

Emily: If I had realized what? Hi.

Nikolas: Oh, nothing. I just -- I think I just came down with a little something. You shouldn't -- I'm fine.

Emily: Nikolas, you've been pushing yourself too hard.

Nikolas: I'm fine.

Emily: No, you're pale, but -- you see? But you don't seem to have a fever. Are you in pain? You have a headache, body ache?

Nikolas: I didn't say I was dying. I just said I wasn't feeling well.

Emily: Which is why I'm trying to help you.

Elizabeth: You know, when Cameron gets cranky, it means he needs to eat.

Nikolas: So now I'm being compared to a toddler? Great.

Emily: Oh -- okay. Time to pour the wine. Uh -- Nikolas, you want to do the honors? I told Alfred that Elizabeth and Lucky were coming over for dinner, so I think we'll all feel better --

Nikolas: Could you -- could you ask me first before you just invite people over for dinner?

Emily: We had such a great time painting this afternoon, I just wanted to keep things going, you know? It was like old times -- lunch from Eli's and then we all came back here for dinner?

Nikolas: To discuss wedding plans, no doubt.

Emily: Sure. Yeah, for Lucky and Elizabeth.

Nikolas: Of course it would start out that way, then one of you would say something about me marrying Emily and then I'd have to stand up and insist that Emily and I be married in some spectacular ceremony by the end of the year and I -- I have to tell you, I -- I don't like being manipulated in that way. I just want to go to sleep.

Lucky: Okay, just dial it down a notch.

Elizabeth: I think it's a little inappropriate for you to assume that we're going to --

Nikolas: Don't -- please don't tell me what you think is appropriate and inappropriate.

Emily: Nikolas, please.

Nikolas: Well, are you denying that you expect me to marry you?

Sonny: Carly and I will be able to work out our differences without having to drag, you know, the children into this.

Alexis: So what was last October when Kristina and Molly -- you wanted them to stay with you?

Sonny: I was just trying to help you out.

Alexis: Yeah, you were just trying to keep Carly under your roof.

Sonny: All right, I admit -- I like Carly in my house. We're a family, we belong with each other, and as soon as Carly admits that, she'll -- she'll come home.

Alexis: I don't know who to feel sorrier for -- you or Jax. Because you and Carly are inevitable -- you are like a force of nature, like a -- a typhoon. Gravity -- suck each other in, then, you know, suck all the people around you in, and then the two of you implode and it blows up everybody else, except the two of you are always left intact and then you just start all over again. Whew.

Sonny: That's a nice way to look at it.

[Alexis chuckles]

Alexis: In the moment, this moment, Carly is determined to be with Jax, and I don't understand why, but Jax really does love her, and I think that she loves him in -- in her own way and maybe you could try to be noble and let her go? Try putting aside what you want for the sake of love?

Lulu: You see Elizabeth almost every single day, and she's moving across town and she's working at the hospital. What are you going to do when she walks into Kelly's with the baby? Or, you know, if you see her at the park or strolling along the pier, are you going to be able to pass by your own child?

Jason: I have to think about what the baby needs.

Lulu: Oh. Okay, well, when -- when I was pregnant last summer and I told people that I wasn't ready to be a mother, most people gave me the same advice -- to have the baby and give it to the Quartermaines and, you know, it would have a great life. But I knew that I couldn't go through with that -- because the second that I actually held that child, I wouldn't be able to give it away. And what the baby needs wouldn't apply and, you know, I wouldn't give that baby up, even if it meant I was going to be the worst mother in the world.

Jason: My situation isn't exactly like yours.

Lulu: Okay. Are you planning on holding this baby? I mean, what if the child gets sick and goes to the hospital -- are you going to go visit it? Or if you hear it crying, are you going to want to hold it? I mean, I don't -- maybe, maybe it's very different for guys. Maybe, you know, because you didn't actually carry the child and you didn't feel it inside of you, moving or kicking --

Jason: Lulu, I -- I am trying to do what's right.

Lulu: I know, you're -- you're trying to be responsible and --

[Lulu sighs]

Lulu: You've made your decision and I made my decision, so I have to respect that.

Jason: I think about that kid all the time. You know? Whether it's going to be a boy or a girl or -- what it's going to look like or where I'm going to be when it's being born or if I'm -- if I'm even going to be able to hold my baby. Okay, I don't want to imagine what it's going to be like. I don't want to imagine how it's going to feel, so I need to stay in the present. I told Elizabeth that I would give up my child. But I don't know how I'm actually going to do it.

Tracy: You are not going to put this family through the endless red tape of probate court.

Alan: Of course she is.

Monica: Then just save me the trouble, Tracy, and admit you forged Alan's will.

Alan: Right. The sooner you fess up, the sooner I'm on my way.

Tracy: Shut up.

Edward: Don't you tell Monica to shut up.

Tracy: I didn't!

Monica: My God, you really are a compulsive liar.

Edward: And a greedy one. Now, look, if you had just taken some of Alan's E.L.Q. stock, we might have let it go.

Alan: What are you saying -- it's all right for Tracy to steal from me?

Tracy: What are you going to do about it?

Monica: I just told you, Tracy.

Luke: All right, everybody take a deep breath. My pretty pink Popsicle did not forge Alan's will.

Alan: Right -- you did it for her.

Tracy: Alan was smart enough not to leave everything to Emily.

Monica: No, don't you blame this on Alan.

Edward: No -- anything to keep you from getting any more power.

Luke: Oh, I disagree, Edward. Tracy wears power like a pair of black silk stockings and she wields it in very creative ways.

Tracy: Oh.

Alan: Do not go there.

Edward: That's much more information than we need.

Monica: Unless we can use it against her in court.

Edward: Yeah. All right.

Alan: That's the spirit.

Tracy: Look, none of us needs the money.

Alan: Then give it back.

Tracy: Can't we just let Alan rest in peace, in that celestial galaxy far, far away?

Monica: I am doing this because I love Alan and I want to see his final wishes carried out as he intended.

Alan: Thank you for your loyalty, Monica.

Tracy: Where was that loyalty when you were chasing everything in pants?

Alan: Monica? I forgive you, don't worry.

Monica: I failed Alan when he was alive -- I know that -- but I am damn well not going to fail him in death.

Edward: Why don't you make it easy on yourself and your -- your freeloading spouse here and admit that you forged Alan's will? Because if you don't, I'm going to bring criminal charges against you both. It's the least I can do for my son.

Alan: Thank you, Father.

Tracy: That will better be iron clad.

Luke: Hey, listen, my work is going to hold up. Will your conscience?

Alice: Miss Tracy, Sam McCall is here to see you.

Tracy: Oh, yippee. Send her away.

Sam: Back off now or I will blow you out of the water.

Jax: I missed you so much.

Carly: I missed you, too.

Jax: Yeah?

Carly: I thought about you every minute you were gone. I thought about your face, your smile, how we were together. Not just the wonderful romantic times, but the little things.

Jax: Yeah.

Carly: I'm so sorry we couldn't last.

Jax: 'I assume that -- that means that we're still broken up?

Carly: We're over. And now that you've slept with me again, that makes you even with Sonny. So you should be able to let go.

Luke: How is it you're going to blow my wife out of the water? Can I watch?

Sam: Do you really want him to be a part of this conversation, because I do not have a problem with that.

Luke: Oh, this is sounding interesting. I'm going to stay.

Tracy: You know what? I think the room is a little bit too crowded, if you get what I mean. You should go.

Luke: Don't you think you might need help with her?

Tracy: No, I think you should go.

Luke: Well, tell me about it later, though, won't you?

Tracy: I'll tell you about it later.

Luke: Okay.

Tracy: Bye-bye, dear.

Alan: You know he's out there listening.

Tracy: Sam, you should keep your voice down. Eavesdropping is a family pastime.

Sam: Look, you -- you can blackmail me out of a job at E.L.Q.

Alan: Oh, so that's why she left.

Sam: But if you ever send me another picture of Angela Monroe again or anything that has to do with her, I swear --

Tracy: I didn't send you a picture. Someone else knows your secret.

Amelia: Call me with feedback on the Sam McCall spot, and email me with anything else that turns up on that crime I'm looking into? Yeah, that's right. The woman's name was Angela Monroe.

Jason: Look, I want to tell Sam about the child, but it's my fault she can't have a baby.

Lulu: You're not the one who shot Sam.

Jason: Manny Ruiz shot Sam to hurt me.

Lulu: Okay, you're blaming yourself for something that you didn't do.

Jason: When Sam first found out that I might, there was a chance I could be the father of Elizabeth's baby, she was -- she was devastated. And the reality will be even worse now because she knows that she can't have a baby.

Lulu: Well, maybe she'll want to be that child's stepmother because -- because she can't have a child.

Jason: Elizabeth's not going to give up the kid.

Lulu: Okay, why is it Elizabeth's decision? You guys didn't, you know, sign anything? It's not official -- you can file for custody.

Jason: I'm not -- you know what? Custody fights are not good for anybody. I'm not going to do it. I'm not going to fight -- I have given my word. This baby will be better off with Lucky and Elizabeth.

Elizabeth: Nobody's trying to tell anybody who to marry.

Nikolas: Of course you are. Come on, we're always, always interfering in each other's lives. Elizabeth, look, please don't -- don't misunderstand me. I'm -- I am thrilled that you and Lucky have decided to reconcile yet again. I just, I -- I just -- I just want to go to sleep.

Emily: Just because they're getting married, Nikolas, doesn't mean that we are.

Nikolas: Please, don't -- don't tell me what it all means here, okay? We were barely reconciled when Spencer was kidnapped and -- and everything that happened at the Metro Court, and I'm -- I don't -- I don't mean to mislead you, but I may never get married again.

Lucky: You really must be sick because you sound delusional.

Emily: No, no, it's all right.

Lucky: Em --

Emily: Nikolas, I understand why you would feel pressured. It was certainly not my intention.

Lucky: Emily, he's not making sense.

Emily: I think it might be better if Nikolas and I take a break.

Nikolas: Yeah. A little space couldn't hurt, right?

Emily: Okay. Well, then, uh -- good night.

Lucky: You know what? Why don't you take that aspirin and get so sleep, and when you wake up tomorrow realizing that you were an ass, I'll help you smooth things over with Emily.

Nikolas: Did you hear anything I just said?

Elizabeth: Your brother needs a little room.

Nikolas: Thank you.

Elizabeth: We're going.

Nikolas: Thank you.

James: What was the point of that little performance?

Nikolas: Look, I may be your pawn for the moment, but I'll refuse to allow you to threaten Emily.

Alexis: Success.

Sonny: Peppermint tea is good for the nausea.

Alexis: It also won't get me arrested.

Sonny: Is there anything else I can -- I can get for you?

Alexis: Tell me the truth.

Sonny: Yeah?

Alexis: Yeah, because it's very bad karma to lie to a cancer patient.

Sonny: You don't have cancer. The cancer was removed. That's why you're going through chemotherapy -- so it will not come back.

Alexis: That was good.

Sonny: Thank you.

Alexis: That was good deflection. I really wish that you had gone to school, law school. You would've been a really good attorney, really good.

Sonny: Mm-hmm.

Alexis: And the organized crime in Port Charles would've been cut down drastically.

Sonny: I'm a coffee importer, remember?

Alexis: You are so funny.

Sonny: Yeah.

Alexis: All right, let's be serious.

Sonny: Mm-hmm?

Alexis: So if Carly and Jax get back together, are you going to be able to put your feelings aside and be happy for them?

Sonny: I don't really think I'll ever be able to put Carly aside.

Alexis: I sure wish I had realized that before I got involved with you. I sure hope Jax has the sense to realize that now.

Jax: Hey, hey --

Carly: Jax, stop. We're just going to wind up back in bed.

Jax: Just stay, okay? You don't have to leave.

Carly: I can't stay. If I stay, we will lose everything that is good.

Jax: How can you be so certain of that?

Carly: Because you can't change that look in your eye. And you can't get past your disappointment, and you can't deal with what happened between me and Sonny, that's why

Jax: Can you blame me for that?

Carly: No, I can't blame you for that, but I can't change what happened, either. And under the same circumstances, I would probably do it again. Sonny and I are connected and we always will be.

Jax: But you're not going back to him?

Carly: Sonny and I aren't good for each other. And you are good for me. You are good for me. But I don't want to get caught up in this vicious cycle where you feel betrayed and I feel guilty, because I would rather walk away.

Jax: So what you're saying is that -- that we're not worth fighting for, is that right? You just want to just give up because it's easier?

Carly: How can you possibly think this is easy for me?

Alan: It's not bad enough that you forged my will and stole my inheritance? Now you're trying to blackmail Sam?

Tracy: I did not blackmail anybody.

Alan: Oh. Well, I wonder who did.

Tracy: Well, gee, ghosts are supposed to be all-seeing, all-knowing -- you tell me.

Alan: You did it.

Tracy: Oh --

Alan: And now you're trying to scare Sam off because you're afraid that one day she's going to have a child by Jason.

Tracy: Alan, that will was beyond pathetic! You should be thanking me for saving your dignity.

Luke: Will you hold it down in here? Do you want Monica and Edward to hear you admitting to a chair that you forged Alan's will?

Tracy: I didn't forge Alan's will -- you did.

Alan: Oh, I just hope that there is some justice in this world and one day you will both be charged with fraud.

Tracy: Alan, will you shut up?

Luke: Oh, there's respect for the dead.

Alan: Thank you, Luke.

Luke: You're making me really nervous now, Spanky. You're spending too much time fighting with the furniture. If you're going to go completely around the bend and confess, you got to tell me so I can get out of town.

Tracy: I am not confessing. I am not going crazy. I am being haunted by a miserable, vindictive brother who refuses to be grateful.

Alan: Don't hold your breath waiting.

Tracy: Alan --

Alan: Hmm?

Tracy: If my husband and I hadn't intervened on your behalf, you would have left the major portion of your estate to children that do not exist -- Jason's children. And, hopefully, they will not exist, because that Sam McCall should never be anybody's mother, least of all a Quartermaine.

Sam: Hi.

Amelia: Hi.

Sam: How are you?

Amelia: Congratulations. Your "Everyday Heroes" spot is looking like a hit. We don't have the ratings quite yet, of course, but my research people tell me you'll test very well. Can I buy you dinner?

Sam: No, no. Um -- thank you, but -- um -- it was an honor to be on "Everyday Heroes." I just -- I cannot take this any further.

Amelia: Well, that's -- that's certainly your prerogative, but I really wish you'd reconsider. I mean, you are a strong, independent woman who isn't afraid to make a big choice. We need people like that on television.

Sam: I understand, but it's not like I make a lifetime career out of rescuing people. It was a one-time thing.

Amelia: Well, you were featured on a national broadcast with free downloads. I mean, you'll be recognized by millions of people, especially young women. That part of it isn't going to change.

Sam: Well, my 15 minutes of fame are up, and now it's over. So, thank you again.

Amelia: Sure.

Sam: Okay? I'll see you around, huh?

Jason: You and I have spent a little time together, but all you know about me is from what you've heard. You know, maybe some good, probably more bad. But my life isn't really set up for a child. My work is dangerous, and things could go wrong at anytime ' and they have gone wrong.

Lulu: No, you're making this way too complicated. Do you want to be a father or not?

Jason: I want my child with me. I want to raise it, I want to love it. But that's selfish. I have to want what's best for my child.

Lulu: Huh. Everybody thinks that Elizabeth is such a saint for taking Lucky back. But if she loved Lucky, why doesn't she have a little faith in him?

[Lulu sighs]

Jason: Look, if you really think that we're being unfair to Lucky, then you have every right to tell him, as long as -- as, you know, you realize that it might turn out -- it might not turn out the way you want it to.

Lulu: Yeah, I -- I want to believe that the truth will fix everything. But if -- if I tell Lucky and he goes back to drugs, then it's going to be my fault.

Jason: No, that's not your fault, that's Lucky's fault -- it's his decision.

Lulu: Lucky is a Spencer, and he has that same drug and alcohol gene -- my dad has it, his dad had it. It's a bonus that your kid's not going to have it.

Jason: Well, who knows what's -- what's going to happen? My brother, A.J., was an alcoholic, too.

Lulu: Well, you look enough like Lucky that people will believe the kid is -- is actually his. Unless the kid grows up and it -- it doesn't laugh or talk or explain anything, then that's going to be a dead giveaway.

Jason: Well, maybe the baby will take after Elizabeth.

Lulu: You know, it's funny -- you actually have the same color eyes as my mom. So if the kid has blue eyes, everyone will look at it and think it looks like her. Lucky will be so proud. How am I going to do this? Huh.

Jason: I guess sometimes keeping a secret is the best way to love someone.

Nikolas: You don't think things through particularly well, do you? That's why you made such a mess of what was supposed to be a five-minute robbery at the Metro Court.

James: Well, all things considered, I thought I handled it rather well. True, I failed to achieve the ultimate objective, but, you see, these are the hazards of my chosen profession.

Nikolas: That's fine, but you need to understand something. I will gladly die before I allow you to harm anyone in my life, and that includes anyone in this house, my family, Elizabeth, and especially Emily. You understand?

James: Which would explain that petulant show of bad manners you just put on, and it's a wonder Emily didn't leave in tears. After all the love and support she gave you during that hostage crisis -- I mean, it's appalling to see that you've turned into a self-centered pig. Honestly, intern Emily deserves way better.

Nikolas: It'll keep her away from you for now.

[James chuckles]

James: Unfortunately, you see, you may need Emily's medical abilities. She does seem to be very competent. It may come in handy if you ever show slow responding to the counteragent.

Nikolas: Really? Well, if I die, where does that leave you, hmm?

James: In the awkward position of having to start the process all over again with a more cooperative subject. And rest assured, if you stir up more trouble, I will kill sweet Emily -- and Elizabeth for good measure -- before I move on. You know me, nightmare Nikolas. You know I can be reasonable when I get cooperation, but most unpleasant if I don't.

Nikolas: Fine. So let's get started, shall we?

James: Why don't you send flowers to Emily? Apologize; invite her to the castle for a romantic dinner.

Nikolas: No, no, no, let's --

James: Yes.

Nikolas: Let's grasp what's really going to happen here. You'll get what you want if you keep Emily out of it.

Monica: Em?

Emily: Yeah?

Monica: I saw you come in.

Emily: Yeah, I --

Monica: Is everything okay?

Emily: I've decided to move back in for a while.

Monica: You want to talk about it?

Emily: Um, Nikolas and I are taking a break -- it's mutual.

Monica: What, I -- I thought things were going pretty well with you two.

Emily: Yeah, well, we were moving a little too fast, and, you know, we've both been through a lot of emotional upheaval. So we're just going to take some time and decide what we both want.

Monica: Well, I'm sorry. I'm sorry that you two are having problems, but, selfishly, I'm -- I'm glad you're back.

Emily: So am I.

Monica: Are you sure you're okay?

Emily: Mom, I'm fine, really. You go. You need some sleep.

Monica: I love you, you know.

Emily: I love you, too.

Sam: Hey. How's Lulu?

Jason: Uh -- she's better. Did you find your P.D.A.?

Sam: Um, I didn't -- I didn't go to the hotel. And I -- I did not even run any errands.

[Sam sighs]

Sam: I've been keeping a lot of things from you, Jason, and I can feel it's building this wall between us. And I don't want that. You've always been honest with me, and I just -- I want to be honest with you.

Sonny: So you're sure there's nothing else you need before I leave?

Alexis: Not unless you're is that what it's called? Packing -- no, wait, no, that's a -- a firearm. Holding -- that's like -- no, that's poker.

Sonny: I'm going to have Spinelli deliver something tomorrow for you.

Alexis: No.

Sonny: "No"? What do you mean, no?

Alexis: No! No, no. I was just trying to be funny. I was making a joke about the -- never mind, it wasn't funny. None of it's funny, not under the circumstances.

Sonny: Look, Ric has custody of Molly. There's no way in hell he's going to bust you just for nothing.

Alexis: Sure he will.

Sonny: Even Ric Lansing has limits. But, look, I will get you something for the chemo. If you need it, just tell me.

Alexis: No, I'll drink some mint tea, okay? It's much better.

Sonny: Okay, just remember, keep telling yourself you're going to get through this, and you will. You spilled a little bit there.

Alexis: I remember you, friend. Gangster with a heart of gold you are, and a positive attitude. Who knew?

Sonny: Most of the time I get what I want.

Alexis: Not so fast there. You haven't got Carly back yet.

Carly: I will try not to flirt and act out, and I would appreciate if you'd do the same thing. So no showing up at Jake's with a stranger on your arm, okay? We just -- maybe we can be friends at some point down the road.

Jax: Yeah.

Carly: Yeah.

Jax: You've obviously thought this through. But you haven't asked me how I feel or what I want.

Carly: You want me to have not married Sonny, to have never slept with him, to not be tied to him, and I can't give you any of that, Jax.

Jax: You know what? You're the one that can't live with the choices you've made.

Carly: I'm not going to stand here and argue.

Jax: Hey, look, what happened in this room tonight has nothing to do with Sonny, okay? I didn't do this to get even. We just made love, and it was about us, okay? It was about the things that we -- that we share, the things that we still have.

Carly: Please --

Jax: I'm not -- I'm not giving up, okay, you are. Which is -- which is a real shame because I never pegged you for a quitter.

Sam: You have been realistic about a baby from the start, and I haven't. I never -- I never wanted to consider how the things that I've done in my life would affect a child.

Jason: I know, but we can't change what's already happened.

Sam: I know, I understand that. Anyway, I was -- um -- I wanted -- I wanted to let you know that I was ready to accept the fact that children are not going to be a part of our life and I want to move on, and I just wanted to know if you were ready to, as well.

Jason: If that's what you want.

Sam: I won't -- I won't buy into the fact that a child can solve problems or even make us happy. Jason, we have -- we have a great life together, and I -- I think that we can make each other happy.

Nikolas: Your life depends on me obtaining you a new identity. You've taken great risk to make that happen. Why throw it all away just because I won't allow you to include Emily? You need this to happen quickly, you need this to happen quietly. The fewer people that know the better, correct?

James: Table the discussion, shall we? I can always bring Emily into the project at a later date when the need presents itself. In the meantime, we have work to do. So why don't you call your little friends in Moscow and find a suitable birth certificate for me? Step one in making me a brand-new man, Nikolas.

>> On the next "General Hospital" --

Man's voice: You're going to pay!

Spinelli: Samantha?

Sam: I need your help.

Sonny: Jason, if you can't focus, you need to let somebody else do the job.

[Phone rings]

Sonny: Hello?

Carly: I don't care what you're doing, I need you now.
