Tracy: I want names, places, pictures -- the bigger the scandal, the better. I want Sam out of E.L.Q. before she collects her first paycheck. Come on, there must be some information that will force E.L.Q. to terminate Samantha McCall.

Sam: Name-dropping, Tracy?

Tracy: I'll call you back.

Sam: So, what is it you want to know about me this time?

James: If I can't get the information I need from Mr. Alcazar, we'll have to pull the plug.

Skye: What?

James: No, on the project -- not the patient.

Skye: Oh. Yes, well, the doctors have assured me that Lorenzo will be regaining consciousness soon. But in the meantime, I will be handling his business matters.

James: Oh, that's very good news. Then you can tell me the arrival schedule for the shipment.

Lucky: Hey, have you heard from Emily or Nikolas?

Elizabeth: No. Oh -- have you?

Lucky: Well, maybe no news is good news.

Elizabeth: Yeah, I hope. I sure am worried about Spencer.

Lucky: You know, I wanted to ask you about that trouble with Alcazar.

Elizabeth: I already told you everything I know.

Lucky: Well, sometimes people see things that don't register at the time, but later it can just pop in your head when you least expect it.

Elizabeth: Why are you really here?

Carly: You can't arrest me, you bastard.

Jason: Not another word, Carly.

Ric: No, too late. She's already said enough for me to charge her with extortion.

Carly's voice: You teamed up with Alcazar to frame Sam, then he told Spinelli that the doctored flash drive was a special project just for you. But then your frame job backfired on you because Alcazar got ahold of the flash drive before you could destroy it. So he had you boxed in a corner, and there was nothing you could do about it, Ric, except wait, and wait you did -- until Sonny shot Alcazar in self-defense. And you thought, "Hey, this is the time I can make my move." So with poor Alcazar lying there in his hospital bed, you went in to finish him off. How am I doing so far?

Ric: Note to self, Carly -- never threaten the D.A. in his own office.

Carly: You can't do this.

Ric: Hey, look, you attempted extortion, it's on tape. In legal circles, that's known as evidence.

Sonny: It's only evidence if you use it, and I can guarantee you right now you wonít.

Emily: No sign of Colleen?

Nikolas: We're too late. If we hurry, maybe we can still catch her. Let's go.

Sheriff: Put your weapon down now!

Edward: So what's going on?

Sam: I heard Tracy mention my name on the phone, and if there's something that she wants to know about me, she just has to ask.

Edward: What's going on, Tracy?

Tracy: I was talking to Human Resources and you insisted on hiring this woman and she hasn't filled out the paperwork.

Edward: Oh. Ha. I don't have the patience for that paperwork.

Tracy: Fine. I'll have them send it to her over here.

Edward: No, don't bother. We'll pick it up on our tour.

Tracy: Tour?

Edward: Mm-hmm. I have some files that need to be picked up at the office, and Sam is going to -- oh, thank you -- Sam is going to drive me, and I'm going to take the opportunity to show her my company.

Tracy: Our company.

Edward: Only because I was coerced into letting you run it -- temporarily. So don't get too attached. Shall we go, dear?

Sam: Yes.

Tracy: Darling --

Dillon: Can't talk, Mom, got to go.

Tracy: No, got to stay here. Got to help me protect your future.

Skye: Mr. Craig, I can't give out the details. This is far too delicate of a transaction. With all due respect, I think you need to rethink where you have these kind of conversations. The hospital is hardly a secluded location.

James: Yes, but I need to confirm the shipment's E.T.A.

Skye: Oh. Really? Is that all? Well, you see, the thing is, although I'm sure you are who you say you are, I don't think you'd appreciate it if I gave out that kind of information to just anyone who claimed to be you. So I will need to confirm your identity, and then we can continue having this discussion.

James: And how long will it take?

Skye: I cannot even begin to think about that until I've talked with Lorenzo's doctors. But once we do, we can discuss this other matter.

James: You're being very evasive.

Epiphany: This isn't a church social, folks. This is an intensive care room. So, you can stay, you canít.

James: Sorry. You'll hear from me.

Epiphany: Who's he?

Skye: I wish I knew.

Lucky: I really am following up on this attempt on Lorenzo Alcazar, but I'm always glad to have an excuse to see you.

Elizabeth: You don't need an excuse.

Lucky: I'm not blind, Elizabeth. Every time I see you, when I try to talk to you, you make an excuse and leave. Don't deny it.

Elizabeth: I'm not going to deny it. It's too hard for me to be close to you.

Lucky: If this is about those pills at my desk, they are not mine. You know I'm not using.

Elizabeth: Just finding those pills made me realize all I'm doing is waiting for the other shoe to drop. I am so coiled up inside, Lucky. I cannot live like this.

Lucky: Okay, don't --

Elizabeth: It is not good for me, it's not good for Cameron, it's not good for this baby that's not even born yet. I'm trying to be fair to everyone, Lucky, and you need to understand that we are not getting back together.

Ric: So, first, Carly threatens me, and now you? So what's the plan, Sonny?

Sonny: Hmm.

Ric: You going to have Jason take the tape and then smash it into a bunch of pieces, and then maybe put me in the hospital just for good measure?

Sonny: No, you got it all wrong, Ric, because I want the tape. I want the tape intact, as a matter of fact. That way, Carly can play it for everybody in the building.

Ric: Well, I'd be happy to play it for you at my press conference.

Sonny: Go ahead, play the whole tape -- especially the part where you and Alcazar conspired to frame Sam, and where Alcazar was blackmailing you.

Carly: Yeah, why don't you let the press hear all about that? How you and Alcazar connected to do that phonied-up flash drive? It's all on tape.

Sonny: I know, I know, I know. Go ahead, Ric. If you think you can handle the heat, file all the charges you want.

Nikolas: We got the name of the town and a description of the rental car from a man who lived in Colleen's building in Denver. We drove right here.

Sheriff: What's his name?

Nikolas: His -- I -- I don't know his name.

Emily: It -- it was Neil. We -- we didn't get a last name. We can give you his address. He knew Colleen as "Sarah." He didn't do anything wrong.

Nikolas: We don't have time for this.

Sheriff: Why should I believe you?

Emily: Colleen took Spencer from a manger.

Nikolas: If you want to confirm all this, you can check with the authorities in Port Charles, New York. But Colleen is getting away with my son while we're standing here.

Emily: Right, you have got to help us.

Sheriff: Why haven't I heard -- why haven't I seen anything about this? No kidnapping report, nothing on the wires.

Nikolas: Because we didn't want to create a public spectacle, that's all.

Sheriff: Somebody should've told the local authorities.

Nikolas: The woman is unstable. There's no telling what she's capable of at this point.

Emily: You're right, Officer. We're so sorry. We should've let you know. It was our mistake.

Nikolas: Here. This is the name of the detective working at the Denver police department. He's working with the Port Charles police. Call this number, ask for Mac Scorpio. He'll put you in contact with the F.B.I. agent working on the case.

Emily: There are a lot of people looking for that little boy. You could be the one to find him.

Sheriff: I'll call him.

Nikolas: So how long will that take?

Sheriff: Just a few minutes. In the meantime, I'll order a police helicopter in the air. There's only one road down the mountain -- Juniper Drive. Your suspect is likely headed for the interstate.

Emily: Thank you.

Nikolas: I just want to get my son back.

Sheriff: We'll get him. You're staying here. Your days as a vigilante are over.

Dillon: Mom, I promised Lulu I would help her with something and I'm already late, so -- what?

Tracy: Your little mysterious project with Lulu will have to wait. Sam is after your inheritance.

Dillon: Jason's Sam?

Tracy: Dillon, you're not the only game in town. In fact, after your little episode about the Enduro lawsuit the other day, you will never be able to prove yourself to your grandfather. Trust me; I've spent a lifetime trying.

Dillon: Uh -- wow, I'm really going to regret this, but, um, what does that have to do with Sam?

Tracy: For heaven's sake, Dillon, Jason has always been your grandfather's favorite grandson. He could have E.L.Q. on a silver platter.

Dillon: He wouldn't E.L.Q. on a cardboard platter, Mom.

Tracy: No, but his progeny is the next best thing.

Dillon: Oh, he and Sam are having kids now?

Tracy: Not yet. But your grandfather has hired Sam as his executive assistant, and he's all but bribing her to carry Jason's baby. He believes that she will give birth to the next Quartermaine golden child.

Dillon: Um -- Mom, I hate to break it to you, but you can't stop Jason from having kids, and when he does, you can't stop Grandfather from making one of them his heir. So get over it, move on.

Tracy: I am going to stay here and fight for your rightful place in this family, even if you wonít.

Lucky: So you're giving up on our marriage? On us? That's -- uh -- that's a big decision to make over a conversation at work.

Elizabeth: This isn't sudden, Lucky. We -- I -- we have gone over this. I've told you over and over.

Lucky: So you're giving up on me? Once an addict, always an addict?

Elizabeth: The only way we could be together is if I promised to support you and believe in you no matter what, and I can't do that.

Lucky: So you don't believe in my recovery? I guess I'll just follow your lead -- start moving on. I just hope you don't live to regret it.

Skye: Come on, Lorenzo, wake up. You have to tell me who this Mr. Craig is and what I'm supposed to do for him. He wants a shipment date for this transaction and I don't have a clue! I don't know if I can trust him. I know you. You probably have records somewhere, right? Probably in that P.D.A. -- you know, the one that drove me crazy because you wouldn't give me the password. Well, I bet you're sorry now. All right. Let me think. Most people's passwords are usually the names of people they love, like "Lila Rae" or "Diego" or "Luis" or -- dare I say it? -- "Skye"? Oh. Lorenzo, we barely know each other. How am I supposed to know all the names of the people you care about? All right. I'll have to believe that your password is the name of somebody you love, or else I am totally lost. Oh. Okay. I'm going to go home. I'm going to try to figure this out and pray that I'm on the right track.

Ric: Well, you may be right, Sonny. After all, Carly is my key witness against you in the Alcazar shooting. Why do I want to jeopardize my case by slinging mud at her? You can go.

Carly: I don't want to go. I want to --

Sonny: Wait, wait -- no, no.

Jason: That's enough.

Carly: What are you talking about?

Sonny: Go, go, go. Go with Jason.

Jason: Let's go. That's enough.

Carly: Jason --

Jason: Stop. That's enough.

Sonny: Okay, you want to come at me, you go ahead and do that as much as you want, but do not threaten Carly.

Ric: She threatened me, Sonny. You know what? Thanks, I will come after you -- I'll convict you, as a matter of fact. I filed a motion this morning to include your previous history with Lorenzo Alcazar to be used as evidence. Your lawyer's going to get it all in the discovery. I think the fact that you tried to shoot the man once before is going to help me prove premeditation.

Sonny: Ric, Alcazar came into my office and threatened to kill me!

Ric: You planted the gun after you shot Alcazar, all right, and I am looking forward to proving that.

Sonny: Oh, that's --

Ric: You are going to prison, big brother. And the best part of this whole thing, Sonny, the best part? I had to do very little. Carly's testimony is all the weapon I need.

Dillon: Hey, Lulu, it's me. Um -- uh -- sorry I bailed on you. I was just thinking, if you're not doing anything, I was thinking maybe we could question Audrey Hardy, because I'm sure she could fill in some of the blanks about Rick Webber -- and I got to go. I got to go. Bye.

Tracy: So, have you thought about what I said? We need to work together.

Dillon: You are a broken record. Stop. It's like one dire warning after another. And -- news flash -- I'm not going to ruin Sam's life or anybody else's just because of my inheritance, okay?

Tracy: You need to repair the damage you did with your grandfather. You need to prove to him you are not a nincompoop, and there is --

Dillon: Oh --

Tracy: Business flowing through your blood.

Dillon: Oh, okay. Oh, so because I have, like, a few hobbies and because I have a conscience, I'm a nincompoop now?

Edward: Of course you're a nincompoop. Anyone who would suggest that we compensate every user of Enduro condoms is a disgrace to the Quartermaine name.

Sam: I think Dillon was trying to do the right thing. Besides, it's good P.R. for the company to take care of its consumers.

Dillon: Thank you. Thank you, Sam. Congratulations on the job, by the way. I know you'll be great, good luck, and --

Sam: Thank you.

Dillon: Watch your back.

Sam: Okay.

Tracy: My son doesn't need you to defend him.

Edward: No, but you do. You know, you nearly cost us a million dollars. But, thanks to Sam, a catastrophe has been averted.

Nikolas: Did I hear you right? Your helicopter spotted Colleen?

Sheriff: Mm-hmm. Yeah, we'll follow his progress on the two-way. Chopper one, Russell here. Over.

Pilot: We're on Juniper, about six miles south of town. We have a visual on the suspect's car. It's a woman, Caucasian, dark hair, is driving. A baby seat's visible, but I can't tell if there's anyone in it. Over.

Nikolas: Can you get any closer?

Pilot: Suspect is driving at unsafe speeds. Over.

Sheriff Russell: Back off, chopper one. Stay back -- but don't lose them. Acknowledge, please. Over.

Pilot: All right, we're backing off. Sheriff, the car hit a skid. She's losing control.

Nikolas: What's hap-- what's happening?

Pilot: This is chopper one requesting a police rescue team immediately. Over.

Sheriff Russell: What's your status, chopper one? Over.

Pilot: The suspect car crashed through the guardrail. She's at the bottom of the gorge.

Lucky: Rodriguez has a witness in the Alcazar shooting. He's with her now.

Ric: "Her" who?

Lucky: This woman -- she was in the Corinthos coffeehouse when Alcazar was shot. We ran a background check on her. It turns out she's got a criminal record.

Ric: Where -- where the hell did she come from?

Lucky: She's a bodyguard of some kind. She lied about her identity and what she saw, but now she wants to talk.

Ric: She lied, which means she's unreliable, which also makes her irrelevant.

Lucky: What, you're going to worry about -- she's going to weaken your case against Sonny?

Ric: No, I'm not worried about anything, Lucky, I have my witness. Carly's going to give us everything we need to put Sonny away for murder.

[Music plays]

Carly: Okay, maybe I got the details wrong, but I know Ric is involved in this.

Jason: The details -- blackmailing the D.A. does not help, it's the opposite of help.

Carly: Lorenzo has all kinds of incriminating evidence against Ric. Why wouldn't he try and poison him, especially if it means turning the knife in Sonny's back at the same time?

Jason: Fine, fine -- if you were so sure about this, why not come to me instead? I can maybe investigate, instead of almost getting arrested.

Carly: Because you want me to marry Sonny and I refuse.

Sonny: Whew. So you just go ahead and get married on Monday. You don't have to wear white if you don't want to.

Carly: I am sorry that you have to go to trial, but you know what? It is not my fault. That's your fault. You're a gangster, okay? That's in your job description -- lawyers, guns, and money. I, Sonny, would be a gangster's ex-wife. I no longer have to watch my every move or worry about overhearing something that I shouldnít. I have moved away from your life and I'm trying to make one for myself. In fact, I am in love -- truly, madly, deeply in love -- with the next man I am going to marry, who happens to be Jax -- just in case you're wondering. Okay.

Sonny: What do you want from me? You want me to tell you that I need you? It's obvious --

Carly: Oh -- how about "I love you"? Wow, you want me to marry you? How about "I love you"?

Sonny: Are you serious? Of course I love you.

Lulu: "Talk to Audrey Hardy"?

Dillon: Well, yeah. You know, because I thought that since she was there for the original romance --

Lulu: Dillon, we are so far past the "were Monica and Rick having a summer affair?" Phase. We are into "did Monica kill Rick Webber?" And that's why we need evidence, and that's why I came up here looking for evidence, and you were supposed to be helping me.

Dillon: Uh -- Lulu --

Lulu: But I've been up here --

Dillon: Lu, I'm here. I'm helping, okay?

Lulu: Well, it's too late, Dillon. I've been up here for, like, an hour looking through floorboards and drawers and boxes, and all I found were a bunch of spider webs and two really attractive dead rats, and nothing that proves that anybody but my mom killed Rick Webber.

Dillon: Oh -- okay. So, you know, you hit a dead end. Big deal, it happens. It wouldn't be called a mystery if it were easy to solve.

Lulu: Well, I wonder how you would feel if your mom went crazy over something that she didn't do.

Dillon: Wow. Okay. Uh -- not that it matters, but my mom's a little busy right now driving me crazy. You know my grandfather hired Sam McCall, Jason's girlfriend, to be his, like, assistant?

Lulu: I know who Sam McCall is, Dillon.

Dillon: Okay. Well, maybe you didn't know, then, that my grandfather's practically paying Sam to have Jason's baby, and my mom's freaking out because if Jason and Sam have said baby, the rest of the Quartermaines -- including myself -- may as well not exist. And my mom spent God knows how long giving me a lecture on how she's going to save my inheritance, and I ditched her, I came here to help you. And not that I would, you know, expect someone like you to appreciate that or thank me, but it'd be nice if you didn't bite my head off.

Lulu: Okay, Dillon -- Dillon, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I am just -- I'm really frustrated right now, okay? I thought we were getting somewhere, and I stupidly left that datebook in my backpack --

Dillon: Lulu, you're not stupid.

Lulu: I just -- I'm not -- I'm not mad at you. I am mad at me because this is really important. It's the only thing that my mom has ever asked me to do, and I'm completely blowing it.

[Lulu sighs]

Dillon: Okay, so you hit a setback. It's okay -- great screenplays are full of them. Now, as our protagonist, you have two choices. You can either walk away, or you can move on. Now, I vote for moving on.

Lulu: Me, too.

Dillon: Come on, let's -- I'm here; we'll do one more search thing with this -- with this attic, okay?

Lulu: Okay.

Dillon: Okay.

Lulu: Yeah, let's get started.

Tracy: I doubt Ms. McCall could even spell "catastrophe," much less avert one.

Edward: Oh, come on, Tracy, don't be a snob.

Sam: Someone missed the memos from the E.L.Q. attorneys about a deadline at midnight tonight.

Tracy: Deadline?

Sam: Yeah -- to file for continuance on the Enduro lawsuit. I guess someone needs to check their mail more often.

Edward: You know, Tracy, what you is an assistant as competent as Sam is. You see, she caught this in the files, and she saved your bacon. So if you would just sign these two places -- right here and here -- then she can get it to the proper people, and E.L.Q. will not be brought to its knees. There we go, and -- and thank you.

Tracy: Stop.

Edward: There. Now, Sam can just take these to those people, and then when you do, you may take the rest of the day off. And may I say, dear, very nice work.

Sam: Thank you.

Edward: Bye.

Sam: Have a good one, Tracy.

Edward: Ooh. Hmm.

Edward: Ooh. Hmm.

Tracy: You know, you'd save us all a lot of trouble if you'd just pay her $2 million to get knocked up.

Edward: I know I would, but I don't want to. No, I want the satisfaction of winning Sam over. I want her to see me as a father figure, someone that she can trust and rely on.

Tracy: Oh, I can tell her how trustworthy and reliable you are.

Edward: Oh, you see, I wanted her to know that I have her real interests at heart so that when she does have her baby, she can come to me for help and guidance.

Tracy: She might be that stupid.

Edward: Don't sell her short, Tracy. No, I happen to like Sam very much. She has very good instincts.

Tracy: She's your broodmare -- and Jason is your prized stallion.

Edward: No. Together, Sam and Jason will produce a beautiful and bright child with lots of backbone -- and maybe with your mother's eyes. And that child will be the heir to everything I've built.

Elizabeth: What's this?

Epiphany: A C-35 form to pull files from the central stacks.

Elizabeth: You want me to call up someone's records?

Epiphany: You suspect that Maxie faked her pregnancy. So get her records, and check to see if there's any evidence to back up your suspicion. If there isn't, put it aside. If there is, get your revenge. Either way, you can put this whole thing behind you.

Elizabeth: If she did lie about this whole pregnancy, I'm not sure what good it's going to do to expose her.

Epiphany: "And the truth shall set you free."

Elizabeth: I can't stand the way she manipulates Lucky. But I don't want him to think that I'm fighting to get him back.

Epiphany: And you're not?

Elizabeth: I canít.

Epiphany: Put yourself in Lucky's position for just a minute. If someone lied to you about something as important as a baby, wouldn't you want to know?

[Music plays]

Carly: When was the last time you looked at someone and told them that you loved them for real?

Sonny: You really doubt how I feel about you?

Jason: You know what? I should -- I should go.

Sonny: Yeah, you should go. Go.

Carly: No, no, really, I want you to stay here. I want you to stay here and witness this. Say it.

Sonny: Say --

Carly: No, look me in the eye and -- and tell me you love me for real. I'd love to hear that.

Sonny: It's a lot -- we've been married three times. We have -- we have children together. We've been to hell and back, and we always figure out a way out.

Carly: That's not the kind of love you marry for.

Jason: This marriage is a legal tactic, that's it.

Carly: No, go away. You're right -- you should go. I have been married too many times for the wrong reasons -- even to stop you from going to prison once before. And I plan on getting married one more time. I am going to promise to love and honor Jax for the rest of his life simply because it is what's good for me. I love him, and that's not to punish you or to get back at you for anything. I love him, and I desperately need you to understand that, Sonny.

Diane: Ahem. I am sorry to interrupt, but I'm afraid I have some bad news.

Sonny: That's great. Whoa, can we talk in my office? Okay, you go ahead and stay here and explain to Jason how much of an inconvenience I am to you. And you might want to write down a list that has all the reasons that you're justified -- sending me to prison.

Det. Rodriguez: This is Joanna Adams. She's got relevant testimony on the Alcazar shooting.

Ric: Have a seat, Ms. Adams. So, now, tell me, why is it that I should believe anything that you have to say?

Joanna: I don't want to go to prison?

Ric: Well, you've already lied about who you are, um, what you saw, and why you were at the coffeehouse.

Joanna: Which means that you can charge me with a whole raft of stuff. So here's the deal. I tell you what you want to know -- the truth -- for total immunity.

Ric: That's a pretty tall order for a proven liar.

Det. Rodriguez: She's agreed to take a polygraph.

Joanna: You want to solve the case or you don't?

Lucky: He does.

Ric: Okay, fine. Why don't you tell me what the D.A.'s office needs to hear?

Joanna: You guys heard him -- full immunity.

Ric: That's right.

Joanna: Okay.

Ric: So why were you at the coffeehouse at the time of the shooting?

Joanna: Lorenzo Alcazar paid me to plant a gun for him.

Det. Rodriguez: Where?

Joanna: In a trash can. I stashed it there so he could get to it after he was padded down. He also paid me to create a diversion so no one would notice when he pocketed the gun.

Det. Rodriguez: So you're saying Mr. Alcazar went into Mr. Corinthos' office with the intent to kill him?

Joanna: I never asked what his intent was and he never told me. All that I know is I hid the gun, and Alcazar had it when he entered the man's office. I also know the meeting was Alcazar's idea, not Corinthos'.

Det. Rodriguez: That puts a whole new spin on things.

Lucky: It means Sonny acted in self-defense.

[Helicopter flies]

Nikolas: Help! Oh, God! No!

Emily: Nikolas, don't! It's dangerous, stay back.

Sheriff Russell: Hey -- don't get crazy!

Nikolas: I --

Sheriff Russell: It's a sheer drop to the river.

Nikolas: I need to get to my son!

Sheriff Russell: My men are able to get down because they have special equipment.

Nikolas: That's my son down there! Let me get my son!

Sheriff Russell: This is Russell, go ahead.

Man: Sheriff, this is Maloney. We're at the bottom of the ravine. The car is partially submerged.

Nikolas: Give -- give it to -- was there a baby? Was there a baby down there? Did you find a baby --

Maloney: I'm sorry, Sir, there's no sign of anyone in the car. The doors flew open when it came down the mountain, and whoever was inside must've been thrown out. The baby seat wasn't properly secured, either. The river's really moving fast. It's a good bet the bodies washed downstream.

Maxie: Lucky -- hey. I wasn't sure you got my message.

Lucky: Yeah. I'm sorry I didn't get back to you. We got a break in a case today and I just had to wrap it up.

Maxie: Oh. That's good.

Lucky: It's been a long time since I did something I could be proud of.

Maxie: Well, I'm proud of you. I know it had to be tough -- you going back to work with the whole force knowing you were in rehab. And I'm sure Macís been riding you, even though I told him what happened was as much my fault as it was yours. You got yourself through a really tough time. I couldn't be happier for you.

Lucky: Thank you.

Elizabeth: Well, everything looks normal. I guess I should be glad that I don't have to --

Epiphany: What?

Elizabeth: Her pregnancy test shows that her blood type is O-negative. But on her permanent chart, it says right here that her blood type is B-positive.

Epiphany: So it wasn't her blood?

Elizabeth: She stole someone's sample and passed it off as her own. Now, why would somebody do that unless she wasn't really pregnant? She faked the whole thing.

Epiphany: In my hospital, on my watch. I'm getting her butt thrown right on out of here.

Elizabeth: Wait.

Epiphany: I thought you'd want to confront her lying self.

Elizabeth: I don't know what I'm going to do just yet.

Diane: I tried every trick I know. But the judge is going to allow your prior history with Alcazar into evidence.

Sonny: Yeah, I know -- D.A. told me all about it.

Diane: Well, once that comes out in open court that you shot Alcazar before, it's going to make this shooting look premeditated. So if Carly won't marry you, I need a plan B -- and fast.

Sonny: I know you do, and I'm telling you Carly will come through for me. She always does.

[Music plays]

Carly: You think I'm being unreasonable.

Jason: I understand that this is hard for you.

Carly: I want you to be honest with me. How hard is Sonny looking for a way out of this trial?

Jason: Okay, you want honesty? You're a witness. The only way to keep you from testifying is to marry Sonny.

Carly: There has to be another way that doesn't turn my life upside down or hurt Jax and my boys!

Jason: Jax isn't even here right now, Carly.

Carly: Well, he's coming back. And when he does, I can't be married to Sonny. You know, what Jax and I are planning is a real marriage, not -- not some legal maneuver or some ploy to serve his best interests.

Jason: "Some ploy"? He just wants to stay out of prison.

Carly: You think I'm being selfish. Oh. Okay. You know, okay. Maybe -- maybe there's nothing wrong with a marriage in name only. He's not asking me to love him, and I'm certainly not going to let anything get physical, so it's no different than what you had with Brenda, right?

Jason: Yeah, fine, you can look at it that way.

Carly: I was really mean. I guess all he wants is a get-out-of-jail pass -- marriage of convenience.

Diane: What you are asking for is a legal maneuver.

Sonny: That's -- that's how Carly and I began. We've been together ever since -- you know, off and on.

Carly: It's going to be different this time, okay? I know. I mean, Sonny and I -- we're sane and sober. Who knows? Maybe this marriage will be a chance for us to say goodbye to each other. Who cares what the marriage license says? I know in my heart who I love. It'll be fine.

Nikolas: Okay, I'm -- so, I'm going to need you to get a team together. Comb the river. Get a topographical map. Get some people down there --

Sheriff: Mr. Cassadine --

Nikolas: Do whatever you have to do.

Sheriff: Mr. Cassadine, it's pitch black out here. Everything is covered with ice. If we try to do anything before first light, the rescuers' lives will be in danger.

Nikolas: My -- my son is down there. Okay? I'll -- I'll pay whatever the cost -- double the cost. But we can't wait until morning.

Sheriff Russell: I am sorry, Mr. Cassadine. I am afraid there is no chance anyone could have survived a crash like this. I'm a father myself. I can't imagine your pain. But even if your son, by some miracle, survived the crash, the river --

Nikolas: What would -- what would you do if it was your son, Sheriff? What would you do?

Emily: Nikolas -- Nikolas, there's nothing we can do.

Sheriff Russell: Tomorrow morning, we will organize a recovery effort. We will make every effort to recover your son's body.

Nikolas: There's still a chance, right?

Emily: Yeah.

Nikolas: Still a chance. God.

Nikolas: He's not dead! He -- he's not -- oh, God! Oh -- no, he's not dead!

Helena: Boo. A-boo. Oh, finally, my little prince, you are traveling in the style that you deserve. Yes. Oh, that nanny, Colleen -- that wretched girl -- you will soon forget her. But her death will be the touch of authenticity that we need to convince your father that you are really gone. Yes. Oh, and poor Nikolas -- he will be sad for a while, but he'll have other children. And the happy news is that you, my love -- you are always going to be the Cassadine heir. And I will rear you to be the prince that you were meant to be -- with your father none the wiser. No. And guess what. Guess what. We have to find you a new name. Hey, how about that? Huh? What was that?

Sam: What are you doing here?

Jason: I'm just waiting for Carly. It's a -- it's a long story, and it's getting longer every minute. How was work?

Sam: Well, your family, the Quartermaines, are complicated.

Jason: Hmm.

Sam: Tracy's up to no good all the time. But besides that, it's going pretty good.

Jason: Good. I'm glad.

Sam: Edward -- he's got his own agenda, but I -- I do really like working for him. I think I'm going to learn a lot.

Tracy: You know that I will not tolerate excuses. If you can't come up with something on Sam McCall, then I will find somebody who can. Really? That sounds promising. Get me a hard copy as soon as possible. I can't wait to see how Sam reacts to this little piece of her history.

Skye: Someone was in the house. When I got home, the place was ransacked. Oh, thank God Lila Rae was out with her nanny. I took them out to the Quartermaines', so they are safe for the moment. But, Lorenzo, I really need you now. What do I do? See, here's the thing. I don't want to abandon you. I really donít. But if you don't wake up right now and give us the answers that we need to get us out of this mess, I'm going to have to take Lila Rae out of the country. I have friends in Geneva. No one will look for us there. Please, Lorenzo. Oh, we don't have a lot of time.

Sonny: Go ahead. Go ahead and make the arrangements for my marriage to Carly.

Diane: I hope you're right about this, Sonny, because I am fast running out of options for you.

[Phone rings]

Diane: Diane Miller. Well, what do you know about that? Thank you very much for the phone call. It seems the police now have a witness in custody who is willing to testify that Alcazar went to the warehouse to shoot you. So we are now back to self-defense. And this one, I can win.

Sonny: Ric doesn't have a case against me?

Diane: Uh-uh. Oh, he'll try for voluntary manslaughter. But now that I can prove Alcazar's intent, I think the judge will be willing to plead you out to involuntary manslaughter. Worst-case scenario -- you get a suspended sentence. But I think I can push for a complete dismissal.

Sonny: But what about Carly?

Diane: Her testimony is irrelevant at this point. You don't have to marry Carly.

Carly: Hey.

Carly: I will marry you.

>> On the next "General Hospital" --

Elizabeth: Do I tell Lucky that Maxie faked the pregnancy?

Epiphany: Here's your chance.

Carly: This is a marriage of convenience.

Lulu: Are you sure you can pull this off?

Diane: There's no reason to marry her.

Sonny: No one else can know that, especially Carly and Jason.
