Edward: Well, beautiful and punctual. I like that in an employee.

Sam: Well, good morning, Mr. Quartermaine.

Edward: Oh. I thought we handled that yesterday. You call me "Edward." After all, we're -- we're practically family.

Sam: Well, in that case, thank you for this opportunity, Edward. I really do appreciate it.

Edward: You are a bright, focused young woman and any -- any company would be very fortunate to have you.

Sam: Yes, but E.L.Q. is not just any company. It's a market leader with divisions in 17 different countries.

Edward: Oh, I see. You've done your homework. You keep that up and you'll be climbing that corporate ladder in no time. So, anything else you need to know before we get started?

Sam: Well, um, I'm glad you asked. Actually, there is, yes. I would like you to tell Jason exactly what you told me.

Edward: About the job?

Sam: No, about the baby.

Jason: You know, the one you keep pushing her to have.

Skye: You fought so hard to be a part of your daughter's life, Lorenzo. You don't get to leave her now -- do you hear me? I know you're tired, but you can't give in. You've got to find a way to hang on, to hang on for your daughter and for me. We need you. Please. Please just open your eyes.

[Door opens]

Ric: I'm sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt. How's he doing?

Skye: Well, I'm sorry to disappoint you, Ric, but it looks like Lorenzo's going to pull through this after all.

Diane: Well, Alcazar is still unconscious, but he seems to be holding his own.

Sonny: That helps our case, right? Ric can't charge me with murder as long as Alcazar's still breathing.

Diane: Sonny, self-defense is going to be hard to prove whether Alcazar survives or not, unless of course he simply wakes up and admits that he walked into your office with --

Sonny: I don't think that's going to happen.

Diane: The intention of killing you. I don't think so, either.

Sonny: Well --

Diane: So we've got to figure out exactly how the gun got in there in the first place. Now, is there any chance that your bodyguard missed it?

Sonny: If -- if Milo said Alcazar was clean, he was clean. You know what? That gun was probably planted there for Alcazar to pick up after he was patted down.

Diane: That means that Alcazar had help, so if we can find whoever planted that gun, that speaks to premeditation on Alcazar's part and it undermines the D.A.'s case.

Sonny: All right, I'm going to ask around, see what I can come up with.

Diane: Tell you what, why don't you let me handle that and you work on Carly? If she doesn't marry you by next Tuesday, she's going to be the main witness for the prosecution.

Sonny: It's -- it's -- it's almost settled.

Diane: "Almost"?

Sonny: Well --

Diane: Well, "almost" won't keep you out of prison. I'll be in touch.

Sonny: Did you get what I asked for?

Max: Yeah -- frozen pizza, potato chips, all of Mrs. C's favorites.

Sonny: Good, because I want everything taken care of before Carly and the boys move in.

Max: All right. I'll put these away, see about getting her old room ready.

Sonny: You don't have to worry about that because she'll be sleeping with me.

[Knock on door]

Carly: Jase, it's me! Open up! Jase?

Spinelli: Oh. Awesome.

[Spinelli chuckles]

Carly: Where's Jason? Jason?

Spinelli: Oh, he -- he and the goddess left, like, an hour ago.

Carly: Where are they? This is an emergency. I have to talk to him.

Spinelli: Oh, well, fear not, Valkyrie-like blond one. Jackal is at your service. Your wish is my command.

Carly: Then find Jason. He's the only one who can save me.

Sonny: Is there a problem, Max?

Max: No, I -- I just thought that --

Sonny: You just thought that what?

Max: Um -- does Mrs. C know about the new sleeping arrangements?

Sonny: Max, let me worry about Carly. You just worry about taking care of everything before the wedding.

Max: When is it?

Sonny: Monday. We're -- we're having the ceremony here. It's going to be a small thing, just us and the boys. Matter of fact, can you get some flowers, order a cake?

Max: Yeah, yeah, if that's what you want.

Sonny: Um --

Max: It's not going to make a difference.

Sonny: Wait -- okay. Come back here. Come back here.

Max: Ahem.

Sonny: Do you have something to say or -- what's going on with you?

Max: Boss, why are you planning a wedding that she hasn't even agreed to yet?

Sonny: Okay. Carly and I are getting remarried. If you can't handle it, I can arrange for you to work at the warehouse for a little while.

Max: That's fine by me. I'd rather guard a bunch of crates than see you disrespect Mrs. C's feelings any day.

Carly: If I don't find Jason, I'm going to have to marry Sonny.

Spinelli: Well, why would Mr. Corinthos, sir want to force you into not-so-wedded bliss?

Carly: Because apparently saving his life wasn't good enough. Now he wants to take the one that I was supposed to have with Jax away so I can keep his butt out of jail.

Spinelli: Look, I -- I so don't follow. I'm --

Carly: Okay. Sonny couldn't stand the fact that I was moving on with my life, so he sent Jax on a wild-goose chase just so I wouldn't marry him. So I barged into Sonny's office to confront him, and if I hadn't barged in when I did, Sonny would've been the one with the bullet in his head instead of Alcazar -- do you get it?

Spinelli: Whoa, whoa, wait, wait, wait. Mr. Corinthos, sir wasted evil Al?

Carly: No, Alcazar is alive, for now. But even if he survives, Ric is going to charge Sonny with attempted murder and he's going to call me as a witness and I will be forced to testify. The only way I don't have to testify is if I marry Sonny because I can't be forced to testify against my husband. That is what's going on!

Spinelli: No, but don't you see? That's so righteous because not only do you get to save Mr. Corinthos, sir and have him, like, in your debt forever, you get to share in his offshore dinero with --

Carly: I am in love with another man, okay? I am happily and madly in love with another man and he just may be the most perfect guy in the world. Do you get that -- the most perfect guy. He is sweet, he is kind, and he is understanding, to an extent. If I call off this engagement and I marry Sonny, I will lose Jax forever. Do you get that?

Spinelli: Well, see, it's just like army for Asgaard.

Carly: What?

Spinelli: Oh -- oh, come on, you're kidding. You're kidding, right? Oh, army -- hold on. I have it. Army for Asgaard! Okay. Okay, see, there -- there's this really hot Valkyrie like -- like yourself named Bryn who's condemned by this -- this guy Odin who's this Norse God who's condemning her to marry beneath her when she's really --

Carly: What the hell does this have to do with me?

Spinelli: Everything! Okay, see, see, Bryn has to get the goods on the bad dude so she can be with the good dude. Now, in your case, it's dudes -- you know, plural. See, see? No, no, no, no. Expose the D.A.'s secret alliance with evil Al, the mafia marriage is dunzo.

Carly: Ric was working with Alcazar?

Spinelli: Well, only since, like, day one.

Carly: Can you prove it?

Ric: More times than not, Mr. Alcazar and I have landed on opposite ends of the law, but I can assure you that's not going to keep me from doing my job. I intend to find the person or persons who are responsible for this and bringing them to justice.

Skye: Find them? You had Sonny in your custody and you chose to let him go.

Ric: Sonny will be prosecuted for the shooting. But it remains to be seen who gave Mr. Alcazar the injection that induced the heart attack.

Skye: Am I supposed to be grateful for this noble pursuit of justice?

Ric: We don't have to be enemies here, Skye. Now, look, it could be days, could be weeks before Alcazar wakes up. Now, how long before you think Mr. Alcazar's business associates try to capitalize on that? You and your baby are going to need somebody to protect you.

Skye: Meaning you?

Ric: I'd be happy to do anything to help.

Skye: I don't need your help, Ric.

Ric: No. I'm suggesting that we help each other.

Skye: Of course you would have an agenda. You always do. So what is it exactly that you want?

Ric: I need access to Mr. Alcazar's safe. I believe he has something that belongs to me.

Edward: Don't be ridiculous. Nobody's pushing you into anything, are they, young lady?

Sam: I would like to think that you hired me because you think I'd be an asset to your company, not to its nursery.

Edward: What on earth gave you that impression?

Sam: Well, yesterday when -- when we were talking, you said that you hoped that Jason and I had a child so you can assure its future. Boy or girl, you would make it your heir.

Edward: Look, I was merely pointing out the fact that if Jason has a child, it would be a Quartermaine by virtue of birth.

Jason: Why point it out at all?

Edward: I don't see why you are making such a fuss about this. Given your line of work, I should think you'd be glad to have a child with a stable and legitimate inheritance.

Emily: Nik-- Nikolas? Hey. Hey. What happened?

Nikolas: The drawer was stuck. I was trying to get it open.

Emily: Why?

Nikolas: Colleen was in a hurry. She may have left something behind.

Emily: Look, Colleen's way too smart to leave anything behind.

Nikolas: She left that.

Emily: Yeah, to mess with you. Colleen knew that if you saw that picture, you'd tear this place apart looking for another clue.

Nikolas: I'm not leaving until I find one.

[Emily sighs]

Emily: Nikolas, can't you see that we're playing right into her hands? Every minute that we waste inside of this apartment, Colleen's getting further away!

Nikolas: I'm not just going to give up.

Emily: I'm not asking you to. I just think it's time that we start looking for Spencer a different way.

Emily: Any plans Colleen may have had went out the window the minute we walked into that daycare. She didn't have time to think. All she could do was run.

Nikolas: But where? We have no idea where she's headed, Emily.

Emily: All right. That's why we have to widen our search. If we can get the media involved, then the public can help us, all right, especially if we provide an incentive.

Nikolas: You want me to offer a reward?

Emily: Nothing gets people's attention like money.

Nikolas: Well, that's what I'm afraid of. If I go on TV and offer to pay for information, it could generate thousands of false leads. How could that help the investigation?

Emily: Look, listen to me. There is no such thing as bad publicity when it comes to a kidnapping. The more we can get Spencerís face out there, the greater chance we have of finding him.

Nikolas: Not if it drives Colleen further into hiding.

Emily: How can it? She's going to have nowhere else to go.

Spinelli: You see, evil Al paid me a stack of cash to doctor up this flash drive with some bogus info. Now, he said it was a special project for the D.A. Now, had I known it was going to be used to frame the goddess, I totally would've punked.

Carly: That's why Alcazar grabbed you and Lulu -- to cover up his plan with Ric.

Spinelli: Yeah, and if Stone Cold hadn't busted in when he did, I mean, it would've been lights out for me and the blond --

Carly: We're going to need proof on this. Do you get that?

Spinelli: Yeah, forget it. I mean, it's -- I mean, I could totally re-create all the stuff on the flash drive, but we'd still need the original to compare it to, and knowing our lovely D.A., that's going to be next to impossible.

Carly: Man, Ric took a risk teaming up with Lorenzo, and you know what? Knowing Lorenzo, he kept some kind of an insurance plan -- proof of the deal so he could blackmail Ric, which is exactly why Ric would want Alcazar dead.

Spinelli: Mystery solved -- ha-ha. Uh -- maybe some gratitude's in order because, see, usually a Valkyrie would bestow a mere mortal with some mead and a kiss, but in lieu of a tragic lack of meads --

[Door closes]

Spinelli: Valkyrie?

Edward: I have devoted my life to E.L.Q. in hopes that this family would have something to pass on to future generations -- and I would like to think that you would want to do the same with your children -- but that's not the reason I hired Sam.

Sam: Okay, then why did you?

Edward: Because I like your potential. You are an intelligent young woman and you're determined to make something of yourself. Listen to me. E.L.Q. can open doors for you that you never imagined.

Sam: In exchange for what?

Edward: Hard work. I need someone with street smarts and business savvy. And this arrangement will benefit both of us, believe me.

Sam: Okay, I wanted you to hear this so you know what I'm dealing with. Do you think he's working me?

Jason: Yeah.

Edward: Now, listen to me, both of you. I have been completely straightforward about my intentions. I do like Sam, and I do hope she has your child, and I do intend to offer that child every conceivable opportunity.

Jason: You should do what you want to do.

Sam: I'll take the job.

Edward: Good.

Jason: Good luck.

Sam: Thank you.

Sam: Okay, where do we start?

Edward: Well, I'd like to start with a few ground rules. I do not appreciate being put on the hot seat like that.

Sam: Okay. Fair enough. But I don't appreciate being used as a tool to get to Jason.

Edward: All right. That's fine. So, let's get started because I have great plans for you. We have these forms to fill out, but you can put your name on Ė

Max: Boss, you're making this all about what you want and what you need, but what about Mrs. C? I mean, doesn't it even matter to you that she's still engaged to Jax?

Sonny: So you'd rather Carly be with Jax than with me? Is that what you're trying to say?

Max: No, no, no. Look, all I want is for Mrs. C to be happy. If Jax can give that to her, it's not fair for me or for you to stand in her way.

Sonny: Max -- you're a good man, you've been working for me for years, but it does not give you the right to tell me who I can or cannot marry.

Max: I just don't want to see Mrs. C get hurt again.

Sonny: She won't get hurt.

Max: You better think this through, boss. Because if it goes wrong, you're going to be hurting the people you most care about.

Man: Yes, I'm aware of the time constraints we're under. Unfortunately, it's impossible to proceed without more information. No, no, no, that won't be necessary. I'll get what we need, one way or another.

Man: I'm -- I'm terribly sorry.

Carly: Must be one important phone call.

Man: Well, I'm a slave to my business.

Carly: Good luck.

Man: Thank you. No, it's nothing to worry about. Just a minor distraction. You'll have it exactly as we agreed.

Skye: Well, Ric may be right about one thing. Even though he's self-serving, I don't know how to protect you. I don't know who your enemies are and I don't know how to protect me or your daughter. Lorenzo, Lila Rae needs you, I need you. Please, wake up.

Carly: Any change?

Skye: I thought I made it clear that you aren't welcome here.

Carly: You know what, Skye? We can get into another pointless fight about what happened to Lorenzo, or we can say what's done is done and move on.

Skye: I find it hard to believe that you would move on quickly if this were Sonny lying here recovering from a bullet that Lorenzo put in his head.

Carly: I can't change what happened to Lorenzo.

Skye: No, you can't, so why are you here, Carly?

Carly: Because I thought that maybe we could help each other.

Skye: Well, that's funny -- Ric just got through making the same offer.

Carly: That's because Ric is probably the one who tried to kill Lorenzo.

Ric: My brother shot a man a few days ago -- business rival of his that got in his way.

Mateo: Did this man die?

Ric: Hmm. Might be better for me if he would. This man has been holding something over my head for weeks. I asked him to help me frame somebody. He fabricated some evidence and he's been blackmailing me with it ever since.

Mateo: So this man is using your own wrongdoing against you.

Ric: Well, I think it's a matter of degrees, don't you? Look, this man has lived above the law for years. He has built a life on other people's pain and suffering. And now my brother, who is no better than him, tried to kill him, so it's my job to make sure that my brother is punished for what he did.

Mateo: And does your brother deserve punishment?

Ric: My brother deserves to burn in hell. He's caused pain to so many people -- not the least of which, me. Huh. I just find it incredibly ironic that it is my sworn duty to see that he is -- he pays for all of the pain that he's caused.

Mateo: He's still your brother.

Ric: Not in any way that matters. Sonny's spent years making me feel like I was nothing.

Mateo: Some of us have brothers who have done much worse than yours.

Sonny: With Alcazar out of commission, we can go ahead and start landing shipments.

Jason: All right. Well, I'll call Bernie, tell him to resume operations.

Sonny: While you're at it, have Bernie send me a list of everybody who was in or around the coffee shop the day of the shooting. If we can prove that Alcazar came in there with intent to kill, Ric has no case.

Jason: Yeah, that would be the best thing for everyone.

Sonny: Did Carly come to see you?

Jason: No, not yet.

Sonny: Well, she will be because Ric had her subpoenaed. If we don't get married by Monday, she has to make a statement.

Jason: Okay, listen, Sonny --

Sonny: No, no, I know, I know, because max already gave me the third degree. He thinks, you know, it's unfair that I'm pushing Carly.

Jason: Look, Carly is going to marry you to protect you legally, okay, but she doesn't want it to go any further.

Sonny: Why? Because she's so in love with -- with Jax? You tell me, deep down inside --

[Jason sighs]

Sonny: Do you really believe she'll be happy with Jax?

Jason: Yeah, but that --

Sonny: Tell me -- that's all I want you to do.

Jason: It's not my problem. If you want to make it your problem, that's up to you.

Sonny: But she listens to you. You -- you need to convince her to marry me by Tuesday.

Emily: If there is enough publicity surrounding Spencerís case, Colleen won't be able to walk down the street without getting recognized.

Nikolas: People will be looking for a woman with a baby. If Colleen wants to blend in, all she has to do is get rid of Spencer.

Emily: Nikolas, we have been over this. I really don't think that Colleen would ever do anything to hurt Spencer.

Nikolas: If we back her into a corner, there's no telling what she's capable of, and that's a chance I just can't take with my son's life.

Emily: What about your life?

Nikolas: What do you mean?

Emily: Colleen took Spencer because she was desperate to have a family. She wanted one with you, but you rejected her. Three of the other men that she worked for died under questionable circumstances. What makes you think that she's not going to try to kill you, too?

Mateo: It is our duty to forgive the transgressions of others.

Ric: I've spent years trying to convince my brother that I was worthy of his love and acceptance. I've tried to prove myself over and over, and Sonny doesn't -- he doesn't give a damn. He despises me. Even tried to kill me. He put a gun to my chest and he spun the chamber and he pulled the trigger. How am I supposed to forgive that?

Mateo: Forgiveness isn't always easy, but it is necessary, and I would encourage you to keep on trying.

Ric: No, Sonny doesn't want a brother. He never has. You know, even before I was born, our mother had to choose between us. Then she gave me up. You have any idea what that feels like? Hmm? Knowing that you're always second-best? Knowing that your mother didn't love you enough to keep you? I think it's high time that Sonny paid for all of the pain that he has caused.

Mateo: Things gained through vengeful acts -- opportune or not -- only lead to more pain.

Ric: If it gets Sonny out of my life, it'll be worth it.

Carly: Was Lorenzo blackmailing Ric?

Skye: I try to stay as far away from Lorenzo's business as possible.

Carly: You live with the guy, you know if somebody visits. Did Ric ever meet with Lorenzo? Skye, I'm not asking you to betray him, okay? I just want to help you. If Ric was being blackmailed, he'd have every reason to want Lorenzo dead. If you know something, you have to tell me. It's the only way to keep him safe.

Skye: You don't give a damn if Lorenzo lives or dies, okay, so don't come in and pretend that you do. You only care about keeping Sonny out of prison.

Carly: You're damn right, because he's the father of my children and I will do anything for them.

Skye: Yeah, well, my daughter needs her father, and your children's father shot him. So why should I even --

Carly: And Ric is standing back laughing at both of us. He is pulling the strings. Ric put Sonny and Alcazar at each other's throats, hoping that one would kill the other, and he wanted to prosecute whoever survived. Now, do you think Lorenzo would want Ric Lansing walking away winning the whole thing? Do you?

Skye: Okay, fine. Lorenzo and Ric had some business dealings of some kind. And Lorenzo strongly implied that he was holding something over Ric's head.

Sonny: Diane thinks this case is going to go to trial, whether Alcazar dies or not. I've already been tried for attempted murder against him once before. She feels like the previous incident would be admissible because it establishes motive.

Jason: The guy was holding a gun.

Sonny: Yeah, but I could've planted it on him. Case is strong, Jason. And if -- if Carly testifies, I'm a -- I'm done.

Jason: She wonít.

Sonny: Yes, she will, because she's in -- you know, she wants to be with Jax, she wants to have kids with Jax, she wants to --

Spinelli: Stone Cold, I'm so glad you're home! Wait till you see what --

Jason: Whoa, whoa -- we're in the middle of something here, okay? You make it quick.

Spinelli: Uh -- um -- no offense, Mr. Corinthos, Sir, but it is most unrighteous to clip the wings off a golden Valkyrie and trap her in unholy matrimony in your personal underworld.

Sonny: Do you have any idea on half of what he says?

Jason: I think Carly was here.

Spinelli: Yeah, and -- and seriously upset about her impending nuptials. I mean, she wanted Stone Cold to save her here, but since you were busy, I provided assistance instead.

Jason: What kind of assistance?

Sonny: Did you warn him about Carly, Jason?

Spinelli: What, that she's a superhot --

Sonny: No, my wife -- ex-wife --

Spinelli: Time-out. Ahem -- Mr. Corinthos, Sir?

Sonny: Yeah?

Spinelli: The Valkyrie not your wife, and -- and, in fact, that she seems quite determined never being so again --

Jason: Spinelli, what kind of assistance did you give Carly?

Sam: E.L.Q. makes pet products?

Edward: Mm-hmm -- we do now. Last year, pet spending topped 35 billion. And it's one of the few markets that isn't dependant on interest rates or fuel prices. And it's much safer than condoms.

Sam: Why not pair the manufacturer with this trucking division? You'd bring in more profits by keeping it all in-house.

Edward: That's very astute.

Sam: Well, when you work in salvage, you find multiple ways to save as much money as possible.

Edward: Oh, God, I can't wait for you to go by E.L.Q. and see what you can salvage there.

Sam: I'll go down as soon as possible.

Tracy: Absolutely not. If you want this trash to have Jason's baby, then pay her off and be done with it. Do not embarrass this family by having her wander the halls of E.L.Q.

Edward: Careful, Tracy. Your desperation is showing. You know that if Jason produces a child, that your son, the nincompoop, will be out of the running.

Tracy: Dillon is not a nincompoop, and you have gone way past desperate. In fact, you are rapidly approaching pathetic. Jason wants nothing to do with you. And hiring his barely literate bed warmer is going to do nothing to bring him or his hypothetical children home to roost.

Edward: Give me that. Sam stays.

Tracy: Fine. See that she has as little to do with the corporate staff as possible.

Sam: I have what it takes to do this job.

Tracy: Apparently, what you don't have is any pride.

Edward: Tracy is going to be your trial-by-fire. You survive her, and you'll be able to withstand anything that's thrown at you.

Emily: When those other men didn't return Colleen's feelings, they wound up missing or dead. I just don't want the same thing to happen to you.

Nikolas: All of those deaths were ruled as accidents.

Emily: Yeah, carefully planned, well-thought-out accidents -- with Colleen close by. Like she just happened to be there when I slipped down the steps at Wyndemere, or when the cinch on your saddle was cut and you were thrown from your horse. Are you trying to tell me that it was a coincidence that Colleen was there to nurse you back to health? She wanted you, Nikolas.

Nikolas: Yeah. And when she realized she couldn't have me, she took who she could get -- my son.

Emily: Colleen is not rational when it comes to Spencer. There is no doubt in my mind that she will do whatever it takes to keep him.

Nikolas: I lost my son once before. I won't let it happen again. There has to be a way for me to get him back. There has to be a way.

[Knock on door]

Man: Sarah, you home?

Nikolas: Who are you?

Man: If Sarahís not here, I can come back later. I just came by to drop this off for her son.

Nikolas: Get in here. My son.

Man: Look, Sarah never told me she was married. If she had, I never would've asked her --

Nikolas: Is this Sarah?

Man: What?

Nikolas: Is this Sarah -- yes or no?

Man: Yes. Why? Is -- is Sarah in some kind of trouble?

Emily: Her name isn't Sarah, it's Colleen McHenry.

Nikolas: She worked as my son's nanny. She kidnapped him on Christmas Eve.

Man: You must have the wrong woman.

Emily: You can call the police. They'll be very interested in speaking with you.

Man: Sarah seemed so nice. She was so good with her little bo-- your little boy.

Nikolas: Do you have any idea where they may have gone?

Man: I'm sorry; I wish I could help you.

Emily: If you remember anything at all, please, please give us a call. Here.

Man: The mountains.

Nikolas: What?

Man: My family has a cabin up in Rocky Gap. Sarah seemed very interested in the town. She asked all kinds of questions about it.

Jason: Do you know where Carly went?

Spinelli: Yeah -- to stave off her impending doom. I mean -- I mean, just think about it, dude, she can't hitch up with Mr. Corinthos, Sir when her -- her true happiness lies with the white knight. I mean, that would be a disaster of epic proportions.

Sonny: If this fruit cup says one more thing about me and Carly, I swear to you I will kick him in the head.

Spinelli: No -- peace, Mr. Corinthos, Sir. Jackal has wisdom. I do. Oh, oh -- check it out.

Jason: That's the back -- that's the back alley.

Spinelli: And those are the backstairs. And -- wait for it. Oh -- look familiar?

Sonny: The lobby.

Spinelli: Yeah! And, look, you can do a -- you can do a split-screen, too. It's -- it's pretty rad, huh?

Jason: Yeah, "rad." How'd you do it?

Spinelli: Oh, I just made a few discreet holes and spliced some cables together and hacked into the building surveillance system. And, see? Now the goddess can exit the pad in supreme safety.

Jason: Okay, all right, listen -- hey, hey. You need to tell me what you said to Carly and where she is, and I need specifics. I need a place and I need a name.

Spinelli: No -- no worries. The Valkyrie is at large and in charge of her own destiny. It's all good.

Sonny: What does that mean?

Spinelli: Well, it -- the Valkyrie -- the one who you would shackle with marriage -- is taking down the dastardly D.A. in a fierce fight for her freedom.

Jason: Carly went after Ric.

Ric: Well, this is quite a surprise. I would've bet good money that you would've dragged your feet as long as possible before you came in to make a statement on Alcazar's shooting -- that is, I mean, Sonny's attempt to murder him.

Carly: It was self-defense.

Ric: Oh, careful, Carly. Anything you say in this office is admissible in court. If you want to avoid a charge of perjury, I suggest maybe you wait for your lawyer to arrive.

Carly: I didn't come here to make a statement, I came here to make you an offer. Drop all charges against Sonny, or spend the rest of your twisted, miserable life rotting in a prison cell.

Ric: For what, exactly?

Carly: You made your own murder attempt. You poisoned Lorenzo Alcazar in the hospital to stop him from blackmailing you. Want to make a deal?

Skye: Carly thinks that maybe Ric's the one who tried to kill you. Maybe he did. I mean, after all, you do have the flash drive that he used to frame Sam, and if he knew you had tapes of him confessing, I'm sure he'd want to maybe finish up what Sonny started. Oh, Lorenzo, wake up, please. People are starting to ask questions, and how can I answer them when I don't even have any answers, and I have so many questions of my own.

Man: I hate to disturb you, but I'm a business associate of Mr. Alcazarís.

Skye: I'm sorry, do you have a name?

Man: Craig, James Craig.

Skye: Well, Mr. Craig, as you can see, Lorenzo is incapacitated at the moment. Whatever it is that you came for, you have to deal with me.

Emily: There it is.

Nikolas: Yeah, yeah.

Emily: There it is -- Rocky Gap.

Nikolas: That can't be more than an hour from here.

Emily: Close enough for Colleen to drive.

Nikolas: Right, but not a place where anyone would guess she would go.

Emily: Makes sense.

Nikolas: She's there. I know it.

[Car door shuts]

Helena: Well, I assume you followed my instructions as agreed?

Man: They bought every word. They'll be on their way to Rocky Gap anytime now.

Helena: Hmm. Nikolas is making this so pitifully simple. He almost deserves what comes next.

Sam: Mr. Quartermaine has been very pleased with your company's performance this quarter. Yes, he'd like to set up a meeting to discuss ways to increase your market share. How's tomorrow at 9:00? Okay. Wonderful. We'll see you then.

Edward: Oh, I knew you'd be a natural at this.

Sam: All I've done is set up a few appointments.

Edward: Listen, don't let Tracy make you cynical. I've been very open about my reasons for wanting to keep you here, and she has been just as open about wanting to keep you away. But you have to develop a very thick skin where Tracy is concerned. Because my unfortunate daughter has chosen you as her latest target --

Sam: Oh.

Edward: And she's going to be gunning for you.

Sam: Well, Edward, danger is relative, and I'm not afraid of Tracy.

[Edward chuckles]

Sam: Hmm.

Edward: I like your style.

[Edward laughs]

Tracy: I expect this to be handled with the utmost discretion. Samantha McCall. I want you to dig up every sordid piece of dirt you can on my father's new executive assistant.

James: Before Mr. Alcazar's recent misfortune, the two of us had been engaged in a rather crucial transaction. If it should fall apart at this late stage of the game --

Skye: I'm more than capable of handling Lorenzo's business commitments while he recuperates.

James: Hmm. I wasn't aware that Mr. Alcazar had taken on a new partner.

Skye: Well, it's a fairly recent development. But I can assure that Lorenzo and I have discussed the finer points of this business arrangements on several occasions.

James: I hope so. We can't afford any mistakes.

Skye: There won't be.

Carly: You really thought you were going to get away with it, didn't you?

Ric: What, exactly, do you think you know, Carly?

Carly: You teamed up with Alcazar to frame Sam. Then he told Spinelli that the doctored flash drive was a special project just for you. But then your frame job backfired on you because Alcazar got ahold of the flash drive before you could destroy it. So he had you boxed in a corner, and there was nothing you could do about it, Ric, except wait. And wait you did -- until Sonny shot Alcazar in self-defense. And you thought, "Hey, this is the time I can make my move." So with poor Alcazar lying there in his hospital bed, you went in to finish him off. How am I doing so far?

Ric: It's an interesting theory.

Carly: Really? One I'll keep to myself if you drop all the charges against Sonny.

Jason: Carly, come on. We're leaving.

Carly: No, I'm about to make a deal with Ric.

Ric: Oh -- oh, that we are. See, unfortunately, Carly, you're wrong about me trying to kill Alcazar. See, at the time of the incident, I was with the state attorney general's office -- along with 20 other witnesses who will corroborate --

Carly: Then you had someone else do it, Ric!

Ric: No, I haven't committed any crimes, Carly --

Carly: Yes, you did.

Ric: You, however, just did. You see, your loyal little ex-wife here just blackmailed me into trying to drop the charges against you -- that's called extortion, sweetie.

Sonny: I'd love to see you prove it, Ric.

[Tape winds]

Carly's voice: And wait you did -- until Sonny shot Alcazar in self-defense.

Ric: How am I doing so far?

>> On the next "General Hospital" --

Elizabeth: We are not getting back together.

Lucky: I just hope you don't live to regret it.

Sam: So, what is it you want to know about me this time?

Carly: You can't arrest me.

Ric: You attempted extortion, it's on tape.

Sonny: It's only evidence if you use it, and I can guarantee you wonít.

Nikolas: My son's down there!
