Sonny: You guys, don't -- you guys -- hey. No guns. We got a mother and her baby here. Alcazar, do you really want to do this in front of your daughter? I got to tell you; I don't understand the reaction. I mean, we're just here to gather information. Oh -- unless you got something to hide?
Ric: The tracker's still picking up Elizabeth at 1138 Walcott. That means Jason and Sam are there, too. Take State Street.† It's quicker.
Sam: Thank God you're safe.
Jason: It's not over. Were you alone with Ric before you got Sam out of the hospital? Did he -- did he stand anywhere near you?
Elizabeth: Yeah, yeah, but just for a couple of seconds.
Jason: Hold on -- I'm sorry --
Elizabeth: What are you doing?
Jason: Hold on, hold on. †Ric's already on his way.
Laura: It wasn't easy, but I think I have faced the truth. I -- I know that I was the one who killed my stepfather. But I thought that -- I thought that he was trying to hurt me. I --
Lainey: It's all right. Take your time.
Laura: I couldn't deal with the truth. So I shut down for four years. But I think some part of me must've been healing that whole time because I can face it now, and I don't think I'll ever have to come back to this room again.
Robin: It will happen the way I told you from the start. And when it does, Laura will know exactly what is going on. You have to tell the family -- or at least warn Laura.
Luke: How do I do that? Look at her. Planning to spend the rest of her life with me. How do I tell her that the -- the whole thing is temporary? That we knew from the beginning that the treatment wouldn't last? †Look at all the progress that Lauraís made in such a short time. Nobody expected that. I mean, this is an experimental drug, right? Nobody knows what's really going to happen. You're the one who always says "Don't give up hope."
Robin: Laura deteriorated from catatonia to psychomotor disassociation, which is a physical, chronic condition. No drug can cure it. You've known all along that her decline is inevitable.
Luke: I knew it was a long shot. I knew that LS-49 was something that she would definitely want to try.
Robin: And you were right about that.
Luke: Yeah, I know. I know.
Robin: I just think you should tell the family the truth so that you can cherish any time you have left together.
Luke: How long is the drug going to last?
Robin: Not much longer. She'll get confused, she won't know what she's saying, she won't know where she is. And then there will be moments of stillness where it will seem that she's reverted back to catatonia. It'll only be a matter of days after that where she winds up back where she started.
Luke: Even after all the progress she's made; after what she faced in that attic?
Robin: I know. It is no doubt that Laura has made incredible emotional progress. But this is a physical condition. It is inoperable, incurable.
Lainey: Hi. Mr. Spencer, Dr. Scorpio, come in.
Laura: Don't look so sad. Come on, cheer up. Tell him the good news.
Lainey: Laura's doing remarkably well.
Luke: Oh. Well, that is good news.
Laura: Yeah, it is!
Patrick: Slumming again, aren't you?
Pete: Hey, you know me. It's good to see you, man.
Patrick: You, too. We both have been a little too busy being brilliant and successful, huh?
Pete: Oh, yeah. Hey, what does this place remind you of?
Patrick: Dirty Maryís. Of course, Dirty Maryís.
Pete: Yeah -- well, except the girls were better looking.
Patrick: Especially after last call.
Pete: Absolutely. How did we ever crawl through college?
Patrick: No idea. Thanks.
Pete: Thanks. Put it on my tab, all right? Cheers.
Singer: You and me
Patrick: Man, I never thought I'd end up in a town like this.
Pete: I told you it wasn't so bad -- and you got your things worked out with your old man, didn't you?
Patrick: Well, it cost me part of my liver, but yeah.
Pete: Hey, the way you used to party, I'm just glad you had some left.
Patrick: If you hadn't encouraged me to come here, my father would probably be dead. I'm actually kind of starting to like it here.
Pete: Well, except for that irritating woman you were telling me about, right? What's her name -- Dr. Scorpio?
Patrick: I fell in love with the irritating woman. It's actually why I wanted you to come here -- she's going to join us.
Pete: You really think that's a good idea?
Jax: Please tell me you won't take any more risks to save Jason?
Carly: I'm done with that -- at least for tonight.
Jax: I'm serious, ok? I admire your courage and your loyalty, but I don't want to lose you.
Carly: You're not going to lose me.
Michael: Come on! First one to find it is the leader!
Carly: What are you guys doing?
Michael: Uh -- have you see Morganís water gun? Because we kind of need it.
Carly: Yeah. Well, you know what? I had to borrow it. Yes, I did.
Michael: Whoa. Thank you.
Carly: Excuse me. We're going to give that to Morgan.
Michael: Yeah, great. Now he's the leader of the Bushrangers.
Jax: Wow. Where'd you guys get the idea to be Australian outlaws?
Jane: Have you forgotten playing Bushrangers with your brother?
Jane: Oh, that terribly nice bodyguard, Max, was kind enough to allow me to wait with the children and fortify me with brandy -- thank God -- till you arrived.
Carly: I thought Sonny didn't have any alcohol in the house.
Michael: Uh -- Max does, and don't tell dad.
Carly: Got it.
Jax: Good to see you.
Carly: Ok, all Bushrangers to bed right now. Come on. Run, run, run, or the sheriff's going to get you. Go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go!
Jax: You know, we weren't expecting you for a couple of days.
Jane: Well, I wanted to surprise you by coming early for the wedding. Imagine my shock when I checked myself into the Metro hotel, only to discover that you were with Carly at her ex-husband's home.
Lorenzo: You know, maybe I should call the police.
Sonny: Really? You want them to gather up all that evidence? I can't imagine what they'd find in your hard drive. Maybe that's why you're so nervous. I don't blame you.
Lorenzo: You're going to regret this sooner than you think, Corinthos.
Sonny: I apologize to you for -- I didn't -- honestly, I didn't know you were going to be here, especially with the baby and everything.
Skye: I just want you to leave.
Sonny: I understand. But, see, your baby's father teamed up with Ric to frame Sam McCall -- you know who she is -- and I'm doing everything I can to get her exonerated. You understand, so -- well, enjoy your evening now. Pasta looks really good, though, doesn't it? Yeah. Maybe you should think about switching careers.
Lorenzo: I suppose this is your cue to take my daughter and leave town again.
Skye: That depends. Are you in league with Sonny's brother?
Ric: All right, no matter what happens, Elizabeth is not to be harmed. Are we clear?
Det. Rodriguez: You ordered this raid knowing a pregnant woman's in that apartment. We'll do our best --
Ric: Just do it!
Det. Rodriguez: Freeze! Nobody move!
Elizabeth: What are you doing?
Ric: Where's Sam and Jason?
Elizabeth: Hell, Samís at the hospital, and I haven't seen Jason.
Ric: You helped her escape.
Elizabeth: What is wrong with you? First you grab me, and now you bust in here?
Ric: Elizabeth, you are not helping yourself right now. Please.
Elizabeth: Why are you treating me like a criminal?
Ric: Tell me where Sam and Jason went.
Elizabeth: I don't know.
Ric: You are in this room, they were here with you, you are covering for them. That makes you an accessory, all right? You either tell me where they went, or I am going to have to arrest you. Please, Elizabeth, don't make me do that.
Elizabeth: I haven't seen Jason or Sam. I came by to see about renting this apartment.
Ric: Why are you lying to me?
Elizabeth: Excuse me?
Ric: You are helping wanted fugitives. Do you have any idea how serious that is?
Det. Rodriguez: We got zip. I'm sorry we scared you.
Elizabeth: I guess that's just life in a police state.
Det. Rodriguez: Do you want me to call in forensics to go over the place, to see if Morgan and McCall were ever here?
Ric: No. They were here, all right? Elizabeth helped smuggle Sam out of the hospital and brought her right to Jason.
Elizabeth: You say you're so concerned about me and this baby, but all you're doing is causing me more stress.
Ric: Just tell me where he is and I don't have to file charges.
Elizabeth: Charges for what, getting on with my life?
Ric: Yeah, getting on with your life? You're going to ruin your life by helping these two people. Do you think they're going to do that for you?
Man: Hey, what'd you do to my door?
Det. Rodriguez: It's a police matter.
Man: Yeah? So tell me about it, I'm the super.
Ric: Oh, wait a minute, you're the super? Do you know this woman?
Elizabeth: I can't believe you're doing this to me.
Superintendent: She wants to rent the place. Why? Is she in trouble with the cops?
Elizabeth: No, absolutely not. Let me explain --
Superintendent: Sorry, but you're not the kind of tenant we're looking for.
Elizabeth: Do you know how difficult it is for a pregnant woman with a small child to find a place to live? And now you've ruined my dinner break.
Ric: I'm sorry. I'll talk to your supervisor.
Elizabeth: Don't bother. Can I go back to work now?
Ric: Yeah, go. Elizabeth? I'm sorry.
Stan: You're cutting it pretty close.
Jason: Is Elizabeth all right?
Stan: I'm on top of it, don't worry. The super of the building has it covered.
Jason: You sure -- you sure about this guy?
Stan: Well, he's not in favor of Ric Lansingís version of government oppression. If Elizabeth can keep on her feet and think for a couple of seconds, she'll be fine.
Jason: Ok, thanks. Good work.
Sonny: Hey, put it over there.
Jason: What -- what is all this?
Sonny: Stan said he needed access to Alcazar's computer systems. Check it out.
Stan: I was thinking of a couple of passwords, but --
Sonny: Well, you know, sometimes I like hands-on experience, especially when it comes to Alcazar.
Stan: It'll be easy with the hardware.
Sonny: You ok?
Sam: Yeah. No, I'm good. It was just a graze. I was out of it because Ric had them sedate me.
Sam: What are you looking for?
Stan: Well, somebody had to help Alcazar find the records to put on the flash drive Ric used to set you up. I'm going to I.D. the Cybean.
Sam: Ok. Then what?
Jason: Then we're going to prove you're innocent.
Sonny: And that Ric teamed up with Alcazar to frame you.
Lorenzo: Corinthos is out of control.
Skye: Really? He seemed rather charming and considerate, given that he broke in with armed guards. I assume that he must be more civilized than most of your "competitors."
Lorenzo: Now Sonny is desperate to save Jason and Sam and I'm the most convenient scapegoat.
Skye: You're missing my point. I don't see this working out the way you promised at all -- including a life for you, me, and Lila Rae.
Carly: The boys and I moved in here for a while to make it easier on Kristina and Molly.
Jax: Yeah, we're just trying to take some stress away from Alexis.
Jane: Oh, I'm awfully fond of Alexis, as you both know, and I hate hearing that her marriage is falling apart -- as if the cancer weren't bad enough.
Carly: Well, she's better off away from Ric, believe me.
Jax: Yeah, he's already tried to steal Molly --
Jax: And Alexis' job -- while she's, you know, in chemo, if you can imagine that.
Jane: Oh, that's disgraceful.
Carly: My being here is a little uncomfortable for the adults, but it's really good for the kids.
Jane: Well, it's wonderfully generous of you, but I -- does that mean that the wedding will be postponed?
Jax: Um -- no.
Jax: Not -- not at this stage. We're still getting married November 16 as planned.
Lesley: It's almost as if there's some force trying to stand in the way of Luke and Lauraís happiness.
Nikolas: Yeah. I hate to think of what might be going on in that attic, you know? But Laura trusts Luke and we have to believe that his love is strong enough to reach her.
Lesley: That is like something your mother would say -- always hopeful, always romantic. Hmm -- how nice for Emily.
Nikolas: What are you doing out of rehab again?
Lulu: Oh, dad called me and told -- asked me to bring him over so --
Lucky: Yeah, he said it was about mom. What happened? Is she all right?
Nikolas: Well, we think she may have gone back into the attic.
Lucky: And you didn't go after her?
Lesley: Luke did.
Laura: It's ok.
Laura: No, I'm all right. I'm all right. It's ok. I remembered everything about what happened in the attic, and I'm all right. Don't worry. Mom? I'm sorry.
Lesley: Oh --
Laura: I'm so sorry.
Lesley: It was an accident. Rick did the wrong thing for what he thought were the right reasons -- and you both paid a terrible price. But I know that what he would want -- all he would want is for you to be able to get well.
Laura: I -- I understand why you all tried to keep the truth from me. I -- I really do. But I am ok now. So, please, I'm asking you, from now on, I want everyone in this entire family to be honest with me. From now on.
Patrick: So why don't you want to meet Robin?
Pete: You can't seriously think you're in love with her?
Patrick: Things happen. I mean, what can I say? We -- we didn't expect anything at first.
Pete: Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Patrick: But the more time we spent --
Pete: Wait -- "we"? "We"? Did you say "we"? So now you're thinking of yourself as half of a couple? Oh, this is bad. This is bad.
Patrick: The exact opposite, my friend. I had no idea it could be this good.
Pete: Ok. We leave now; we can still catch the red eye to Vegas.
Patrick: Bad time for a road trip.
Pete: No, no, no, no, no. That was the deal, remember? If one of us got too far gone, it was on the other to drag him out to the strip, let the sounds, the lights, the smoke clear your head, put things back in perspective, all right? So let's go. Let me save you.
Patrick: I don't need to be saved.
Robin: Saved from what?
Patrick: Robin, this is my friend, Professor Pete Marquez.
Patrick: He thinks you're out to ruin my life.
Laura: So, what do you think, Lulu? Is pink still your favorite color? Would you like your dress in pink?
Lulu: Yeah, whatever you want.
Laura: Ok. Um -- Lucky? You want a morning coat or just a coat and tie?
Lucky: Anything's fine.
Laura: Nikolas, you have any ideas?
Nikolas: It's your wedding, mom. You get to choose.
Laura: Ok, look -- I know I was gone for a long time and I probably don't feel like much of a mother to you anymore. But I am your mother; we are a family, so please talk to me. I -- I can tell you're all upset about something, and I want to know what's going on with my children.
Lucky: I'm in a rehab facility at Shadybrook.
Laura: Is it rehab for alcohol?
Lucky: No, for pills. I was hurt at work, and I got addicted to painkillers.
Laura: Oh, Lucky. Oh, I want to do whatever I can to help you.
Lucky: Well, there's -- there's more. While I was using, I cheated on Elizabeth with Maxie Jones. I got her pregnant.
Laura: Oh, Lucky.
Lucky: She filed for divorce.
Lucky: But I just needed to tell you. I guess you needed to know.
Laura: Oh, Lucky. Everyone makes mistakes in life. That's a given. I think what's important is how we choose to deal with it. Now, you chose to put yourself into rehab?
Laura: Good. And you want to fight for your relationship with Elizabeth?
Laura: That's great. I am so proud of you. You're working so hard to put your life back together, and I love you.
Lucky: I love you.
Laura: Didn't you know that I would be proud? Hmm?
Lulu: Ahem. Um -- speaking of choices -- um -- I think that there's a problem with your wedding.
Carly: Make sure you confiscate all the Bushranger gear. You know, I know they're planning a raid.
Jax: Got it.
Jane: Jax is even more attached to your sons than ever.
Carly: Yeah, he is. And they adore him -- which is a good thing, right?
Jane: I want to think so. I want to believe that you're staying at your ex-husband's out of kindness, no matter how unconventional the arrangements may be.
Carly: I know where this is going, ok? I love Jax. I wouldn't agree to marry him if I had any doubts, Jane.
Jane: I adore you, Carly. And I believe that you will make a splendid wife for my son. But marriage requires an equal and lasting commitment from both partners. Jax has had his heart broken too many times. I don't want to see my son hurt again.
Lulu: Hey, Carly, it's Lulu.
Carly: Hey, Lulu. What's going on? Is everything all right?
Lulu: Um -- this is going to sound strange, but I -- I need to see you. It's about my parents' wedding.
Ric: I picked you up a sandwich from Kellyís.
Elizabeth: Thanks, but I'm working.
Ric: You know, I could've had the forensics team comb over the apartment and confirm that Jason and Sam were there.
Elizabeth: Well, why didn't you?
Ric: To protect you.
Elizabeth: Huh. What part of kicking in a door and scaring me half to death is about protecting me -- in addition to ruining any chance I had at renting that apartment? And if Sam and Jason were in that apartment at some point, I don't know anything about it. Oh -- but I did find this on my way back from the hospital. Funny, it must've slipped in my pocket when you grabbed me outside of Samís room.
Ric: I'm sorry. I just figured you and Jason were so close that you'd try to help him by helping Sam.
Elizabeth: You know, I think putting a tracking device on someone is against their civil rights. Maybe I should consult somebody about that.
Ric: Ok, maybe we should just let this be over for both of our sakes.
Elizabeth: What is that supposed to mean?
Ric: I've always cared about you, Elizabeth. And for the life of me, I can't understand why you would side with a thug like Jason Morgan over a man you were once married to.
Jason: Ok. This should be ok for now. This needs to be redressed. Ok?
Jason: You don't want to risk infection.
Sam: I don't -- uh -- look, I barely even felt the bullet, you know? It just kind of grazed me. I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I should've known better. I shouldn't have gone to my daughter's grave.
Jason: No, no, no --
Sam: This is all my fault.
Jason: It's ok, it's over now.
Sonny: No, it's not over. This is not working on any level. From now on, we're going to do this my way.
Ric: Elizabeth, Jason has barely given you the time of day over the past few years. I have never forgotten how we used to love one another. I mean, we were going to build a life together. I think about you and the baby that we lost every single day.
Elizabeth: But our lives are completely different now. We both have children with other people.
Ric: Yes, I understand that, but it doesn't mean that I can't still feel the loss, or care about you or wish you happiness in some way. And I am concerned at how close you are getting to Jason.
Elizabeth: I needed a friend this summer. Jason has always been good to me. That's all there was to it.
Ric: Jason nearly beat me to death with his bare hands. On some level, that's got to be wrong. If Sonny hadn't shown up, I'd be dead. Let me ask you -- would you care?
Elizabeth: Oh -- come on, Ric. Obviously, I don't want anyone dead -- and that goes for you and Jason.
Ric: Sam broke the law, and Jason is helping her to elude the police. It is my job to bring them in, and right now my job is the only thing that makes sense to me. Elizabeth, my marriage is over, and -- and Alexis is trying to keep Molly away from me -- she's moved her in with Sonny. I can't even visit my own daughter.
Elizabeth: I'm sorry, I -- I didn't know. That's got to be tough for you.
Ric: I'm just trying to do my job, in part to try to hold on to Molly. Come on, you got to understand what that's like, to want to -- to want to keep your child.
Elizabeth: Of course I do.
Ric: Ok, then just -- please --
Ric: Wish me luck.
Elizabeth: I wish you well, Ric. I do. Thanks for my sandwich.
Sonny: You're putting us all in danger by letting Ric play you. From now on, ok, I don't want you to say anything. Otherwise, we're going to ship you out of the country and let you wait until this is over. And I know I've told you many times, Jason, but you can't let Ric push your buttons. It -- it leaves my family and our entire organization --
Jason: I understand.
Jason: All right? I started all this when I let Ric get to me.
Sonny: We can't let him do it again. You can't go to places where you know he's set up a trap. What we got to do is put Ric on the defensive; let him scramble to cover his tracks. †Then he'll make a mistake.
Stan: I just got a hit on our cyberguy. He definitely set up Alcazar's systems. Let's see -- I'm tracing his credit cards. He orders a lot of books. Ah, check it out -- the guy's an English professor at P.C.U., and he has an open tab at Jakeís running as we speak.
Sonny: What's the guy's name?
Pete: Nothing personal. But to me, you're a mistake.
Robin: Yeah, you've made that clear.
Pete: Look, it's not you, though, it's Patrick. He's just not a commitment kind of guy. I mean, he was a legend on campus for --
Robin: Oh, really?
Patrick: Ok, ok. She really doesn't need to know all this.
Pete: Huh. Patrick can't be tied down to one woman. It's not in his genetic code.
Patrick: Changing the subject --
Robin: No, no, no, it's ok. Really, I'm fascinated -- and I love arguing with a man that thinks he knows everything. So tell me, why are Patrick and I not good for each other?
Pete: Ok -- um -- how many times did you have to say "I love you" before you wore him down enough to say it back?
Patrick: Actually, I said it first.
Robin: Actually, he did. †And he serenaded me, complete with my favorite song, flowers, and candles.
Pete: Oh, my. This is even worse than I thought.
Robin: Oh, come on. You don't believe in love?
Pete: I believe in the notion of love. I believe in passion and the fever of love, but it never lasts. The rapture can't sustain itself.
Robin: Why should it? Why should Patrick and I be arrogant enough to think that our love will last forever when we all know nothing ever does?
Robin: Why not just enjoy life -- and love -- while we can?
Luke: You've been through the wringer today, darling. Why don't you go up and get a little rest?
Laura: Oh, don't worry about me so much. I -- I'm getting stronger every day.
[Knock on door]
Lulu: Oh, I got it.
Laura: Oh, my gosh. I can't believe she still does that.
Luke: Since she could walk.
Laura: I know.
Laura: Hi! Oh --
Jax: I can't believe it. Welcome back.
Laura: Thank you. It's so nice of you to come over.
Jax: If there's anything that Carly and I can do, all you have to do is ask, ok?
Laura: Well, that's awfully gracious of you, and I have to warn you I may take you up on that.
Lulu: Carly -- um --
Lulu: Please, just don't say anything. I didn't tell my mom about the abortion.
Carly: Hey -- I wouldn't do that. Ok?
Laura: Carly. You look wonderful.
Carly: Thanks. So do you.
Jax: So, how did this happen?
Luke: Well, Jasper, it's a long story.
Nikolas: Robin tracked down an experimental drug.
Laura: And it worked -- huh -- and I got my life back. †And I've almost got my husband back. Unfortunately, there's a little conflict with our wedding dates.
Luke: We're going to be remarried on November 16 -- that's the 25th anniversary of our first wedding.
Laura: And it's just that our family couldn't possibly go to your wedding and our wedding at the same time.
Carly: The day is yours. As a matter of fact, you can have our whole wedding.
Sonny: Mrs. Jacks?
Jane: Well, I imagine I'm the last person you expected to find in your living room.
Sonny: You -- is everything all right?
Jane: Oh, I'm here for the wedding. Carly and Jax had to step out at the last moment and they asked me to wait until they return.
Sonny: Oh. Uh -- well, make yourself comfortable. I'll have Max give you some tea or whatever you need or, you know, to eat. And I'll -- I'm just going to go ahead and do what I had to do in the den.
Jane: No -- that's very kind of you, but I wonder if I -- if you could spare me a few moments?
Sonny: Well, I -- yeah. Ok. I mean, you know -- you want some water -- I could get you --
Jane: No, thank you.
Jane: Mr. Corinthos, I'm a blunt woman. I've heard why Carly and the boys are living here --
Jane: And it sounds like an excuse to me, given your history with my son. I don't mean to pry, but can you please tell me what's really going on between you and Carly?
Sonny: Well, I'm -- I'm a blunt man, Mrs. Jacks, so I'm just going to go ahead and tell you the truth. No matter how -- how much we fight it, it just seems to me that Carly and I -- you know, we're going to end up in each other's arms.
Laura: I couldn't possibly take your entire wedding.
Carly: Sure you can. You'll never get yours together in time. Besides, we're family. It's all taken care of -- the photographers, the caterers. All you have to do is get a dress.
Laura: No, I -- I canít.
Carly: We insist. It's our wedding present to you, right?
Jax: Yeah. Sure. Absolutely. You know what? The light of the family has returned and you should celebrate that in style.
Laura: I don't know what to say. Thank you.
Carly: You're welcome.
Luke: Yes, thank you, niece.
Laura: Pretty generous.
Luke: What's this really going to cost me?
Carly: You got bigger things to worry about. Can you say "Tracy Quartermaine"?
Luke: She's been dealt with.
Carly: Really? What'd you do?
Luke: Eh, quickie divorce in the Dominican Republic.
Carly: I guess Laura doesn't know about that?
Luke: No, and she's not going to, is she? We're all going to smile and eat cake.
Carly: Well, ok. All right, I'll call the church in the morning and take care of everything.
Luke: Oh -- uh -- not necessary. Laura wants to be married in a garden. And, unfortunately, the garden we were first married in is under a sports complex at the moment, but I found the perfect spot.
Luke: Do you remember you said how lovely you thought Lilaís garden was?
Luke: I spoke to Edward -- and he's always had such a big crush on you --
Laura: Oh --
Luke: He agreed. We can do it there.
Laura: That's great!
Laura: That's wonderful.
Jax: Well, we'll -- we'll let our people know about the change, and -- shall we go?
Jax: Ok, take care, everyone.
Carly: We'll see you on November 16, if not sooner. †Are you mad?
Jax: How can I be angry when you're obviously so relieved?
Patrick: Can we talk about something fun -- maybe a root canal, maybe a hangover or something?
Robin: Do you teach this brand of cynicism at P.C.U.?
Pete: I let the masters speak for themselves. Henry Shaw compared --
Robin: He means George Bernard.
Pete: Love to the measles. William Congreve said, "Loveís but a frailty of the mind."
Robin: "When not with ambition." But we are all ambitious, aren't we? Besides, Phillips Brooks said, "Life before literature."
Patrick: Phil Brooks?
Robin: Yeah, Lincolnís Eulogy, 1800s, Boston Minister. So, do you teach your students to live by the written word, or do you teach them to experience life and then write about it?
Pete: I encourage them to do both.
Robin: Right, but love is a part of life, isn't it?
Patrick: We can agree to disagree -- how's that?
Pete: "Taste the essence of fantasy, not the poison of reality."
Robin: So, in other words, lie to yourself and everyone else? That's brilliant. Who said that?
Pete: I did.
Robin: Why am I not surprised?
Patrick: What about "All you need is love"?
Pete: Why don't we just admit that we all like the rush? I mean, that's what love really is. Why expect it to be more? We can't all be doctors who get the rush every day of saving lives. Some of us have to teach Freshman Comp.
Patrick: There is no way your life is as boring as you want us to believe.
Pete: On that note -- it's been interesting. You -- if you change your mind about Vegas --
Patrick: See you.
Robin: Oh --
Patrick: Was I that bad in the beginning?
Robin: Oh, you were a lot worse than him.
Patrick: I'm sorry.
Sam: Hey. Hi, I'm -- gosh, I'm so sorry to bother you. My -- my boyfriend kind of ditched me and I'm freezing. I needed a ride home and I was --
Jason: Don't -- don't panic, and you won't get hurt.
Nikolas: Well -- ahem.
Nikolas: Hi. So, I heard on the news that Sam escaped from the hospital. You helped her, didn't you? That's who was in the wheelchair; why you were in such a hurry?
Elizabeth: She's gone now. What difference does it make?
Nikolas: Because you don't even -- you don't even know Sam. You did it for Jason, yes?
Elizabeth: I really don't want to discuss this.
Nikolas: No, I -- I understand that you care about him. I mean, you even thought that he might be the father of your child, right?
Elizabeth: Who told you that?
Nikolas: Sam. Thank God she was wrong. But do you really think it's fair to Lucky's child for you to be helping Jason?
Jason: Ok, how much is Lorenzo Alcazar paying you? Huh?
Pete: I don't know Lorenzo Alcazar.
Jason: You're lying.
Pete: What the hell is going on here?
Jason: Ok, listen to me, now. You accessed Alcazar's file through your computer at P.C.U.
Pete: Wait a second, I saw you on TV --
Jason: Shut up! How did your computer get connected to Alcazar's?
Pete: Look, I hardly use my office computer, all right? I swear.
Stan: Who else has access?
Pete: I don't know. My office is always locked.
Stan: Then who set up the system?
Pete: It was one of my students -- he's a Computer Science major and an English minor. I mean, he's brilliant, but --
Jason: What's his name?
Lorenzo: Mr. Spinelli, I pay you extremely well for your extraordinary computer skill. But I must warn you that if anyone is able to get information off my systems --
Spinelli: Chill. I'm the Jackal, remember? Nobody tracks my stuff. I'm the assassin of cyberspace.
Lorenzo: Spare me the hyperbole and reassure me my systems are --
Ric: Alcazar, how bad do you plan on letting this get?
Carly: I'm not relieved that I gave Luke and Laura our wedding date, ok? We can just book another one; it's not a big deal.
Jax: Well, I have my -- my electronic planner with me right now. We could've done that already.
Carly: Wow. People say I'm uptight?
Jax: I just --
Jane: I can't tell you how much I appreciate your candor. And -- and as you must know, I couldn't agree with you more.
Carly: What are you talking about, and what are you agreeing to?
Sonny: I'm going to go ahead and leave you guys. You guys must have some family time. Hey, anything you need -- as we talked -- and --
Jane: Well, you've been a wonderful host. I thank you.
Sonny: Thank you very much.
Carly: I'm telling you right now, do not believe a word he says.
Jane: I'm afraid you've just proven that your ex-husband is right -- especially about you and my son.
Laura: I can't believe you're getting along so well with Carly. That seems impossible.
Luke: Yeah, well, me either. But you know I'll do anything to make you happy.
Laura: Aw --
Lesley: Ok, Wyndham's is open late for the holidays. If we leave right now, we can do this.
Laura: Ok, ok. Do you have any preferences?
Luke: In what you wear? Whatever makes you feel beautiful, baby.
Laura: Oh, I feel beautiful whenever you look at me. Oh. I just wish we could sort of fast-forward right to the "I doís."
Luke: Are you kidding? We just got cheated out of four years. Let's do this in real time.
Laura: You're right. Ok, all right. Um -- I'll get my purse.
Laura: Listen, don't worry if I'm home late, because I think I'll stop by Edwardís and thank him in person.
Luke: Oh, honey, why don't you just shop and come home? You can always talk to Edward later. Don't push yourself.
Lesley: I absolutely agree.
Laura: All right.
Lesley: Ok, let's go.
Laura: All right.
[Lesley mouths words]
Lesley: Got your car -- car in back of house.
Tracy: Are you kidding? In my backyard?
>> On the next "General Hospital" --
Tracy: I'm your wife.
Luke: What's the harm in giving Laura her last wish?
Jax: Can you promise me that Sonny's not always going to be in the middle of our marriage?
Lorenzo: He's one of the top hackers. His work is untraceable.
Jason: Can you give us a minute? One more time -- give me his name.
