Jason: There's no way that Ric did this alone. The flash drive's encrypted, he had to have help. Did he meet with anyone yesterday?
Det. Rodriguez: It was Halloween. The station was crawling with people.
Jason: What about Alcazar?
Det. Rodriguez: Ric brought him into his office for questioning.
Jason: All right. Did they exchange anything?
Det. Rodriguez: Don't move.
Jason: Ok, stay there --
Det. Rodriguez: Don't move.
Jason: Stay there.
Det. Rodriguez: You're both under arrest.
Jason: Just stay there, stay there. Stay right there, ok? No one's going to get hurt. Just stay back.
Ric: They're getting away.
Jason: Just stay back.
Ric: What are you doing? Do something -- shoot him, damn it! Rodriguez, how worthless are you? This is D.A. Lansing. I'm at Pier 52 with Detective Rodriguez. We need backup. Jason Morgan and Sam McCall just escaped on foot. They are to be considered armed and extremely dangerous. Use whatever means necessary to take them down. What the hell is wrong with you? You had a perfect shot. You could've taken him down. Whose side are you on?
Carly: What are you guys doing?
Sonny: I want in on the game. You know, I want to have fun like everybody else. You want to make it interesting, Jax?
Jax: Sure. What do you want to play for?
Sonny: What are you willing to risk?
Robin: Thank you!
Patrick: This proves my point about you and spontaneity. The last thing on your mind when you bet Carly and Jax's wedding was winning a pile of chips.
Robin: Well, unfortunately for Jax, my odds of winning on number 16 are a lot better than his.
Patrick: You're relentless. I think you need a little distraction.
Robin: Have anything particular in mind?
Patrick: Well, maybe a little game of strip poker back at my place.
Patrick: I'll even let you win.
Robin: I can't leave now. I'm on a roll.
Lorenzo: I'm trying to be honest with you. That means no retreating into fantasy land on either one of our parts, so in the interest of full disclosure and the possibility that I might make you upset, if you think being a father to our daughter is suddenly going to transform me into a nice, safe accountant or a dentist --
Skye: I heard what you said. You said the more powerful you are, the better off we'll be. Do you have any idea how twisted that concept is?
Lorenzo: That's logic that makes sense in my world. My strength ensures the safety of the people under my protection.
Skye: I'm not a novice to your world, Lorenzo. I also know that it could ensure your murder.
Luke: I don't think I have a soul.
Laura: Well, that's just not true.
Luke: Well, maybe that's not the right word, then, but whatever it is, I don't have it without you. I've just been stumbling around in the dark. It's like now I'm awake. I -- I'm feeling things again that I thought were lost forever.
Laura: Nothing's lost. I'm still here. We can have it all back again. All we have to do is claim it. Luke, would you marry me again?
Luke: Oh. Oh. Hold on there, sleeping beauty. You just woke up from a four-year snooze. Maybe it's not such a good idea to make major decisions right away.
Laura: So you don't want to get married again?
Lorenzo: I realize you do not love me. But as long as possibilities exist, hope springs eternal.
Skye: It's the possibilities that terrify me.
Lorenzo: I will not let anything happen to you or our daughter.
Skye: I know that's your intention and I pray to God that you can pull it off. But has it ever occurred to you that I'm afraid for your safety, too?
Croupier: Double zero. Double zero, yes, yes. Double zero. All right, here we go. Place your bets, please. Place them.
Sonny: Ok, I'm just going to go ahead and put it all in.
Jax: Well, do you have enough? How are you going to cover the rest?
Sonny: How am I going to -- ok. Going to cover -- right.
Carly: You lose the Maserati and Max is going to kill you.
Sonny: Well, I don't intend to lose it. Can you just move over there so I can see better?
Jax: Why, you think she's helping me cheat?
Sonny: No. I just want to see her better.
Carly: Read my lips. You can bet your house, your car, your body part that controls your brain -- yeah.
Carly: Win or lose, the one thing you won't be leaving this table with is me.
Nikolas: Nice. Nice.
Nikolas: Very nice.
Nikolas: Is that -- is that number particularly significant to you?
Emily: Yeah, you could say that. What, you don't recognize it?
Nikolas: Today's date?
Emily: Your birthday?
Nikolas: Oh, you remembered.
Emily: I remember everything. You'll see.
Croupier: No more bets, no more bets.
Luke: Oh, no. No, no, no. I'm just saying maybe you should just step back for a minute and take a breather and -- and think about it. It could be that fate cut you some slack the last time when it turned our -- our wedding plans on its head. I mean --
Luke: Baby, four years ago, I was nobody's prize.
Laura: Four years ago, for you. For me, it was just yesterday, you know? My feelings haven't changed even a little bit, but I know that time didn't stand still for you and you may not feel the same way.
Luke: You couldn't be more wrong. Do you want to talk time distortion? For me, the last four years was like 400.
Laura: Well, I don't know what I would've done if the situation were reversed and I had lost you. How did you handle it?
Luke: Well, at first, I became a permanent fixture in any facility you were in, and believe me, over the last four years, we've been in several hospitals, in England and Connecticut, New York. Wherever there was a doctor who reviewed your case and told me that he thought he might have a treatment that would bring you back, that's where we went. So I -- I just haunted these facilities and I waited, and I hoped. And then I'd get bad news, over and over again. And then even after I lost hope, I kept coming to see you because I just needed to -- I just needed to talk to you. I needed to touch you and to keep whatever connection we had, and it didn't matter what the doctors kept telling me. I could never be sure that in your heart, you didn't know I was there.
Laura: I think that I did because that's how we've always been. Maybe this drug that Robin gave me just jump-started what you already put in motion.
Luke: I'd like to think that that's true.
Laura: Well, that's why to me, getting married again isn't rushing into anything. It's just the way things are supposed to be –
Laura: Because you are the life that I was meant to have.
Luke: And you are mine.
Laura: You think maybe we're each other's destiny?
Luke: I think so.
Laura: Well? What do you want to do about that?
Luke: I want to happily, hopefully, and most gratefully, marry you.
Laura: Oh, thank you, Luke!
Luke: Sweet --
Laura: Oh, thank you!
Laura: Oh. I love you so much.
Patrick: All right, to reinstate the wager --
Patrick: If I win --
Robin: We play in every room of your apartment.
Patrick: Ok. And if you win?
Robin: We play in every room of your apartment.
[Robin's pager beeps]
[Patrick's pager beeps]
Patrick: Timing never ceases to amaze me.
Patrick: Hey. I want a rain check.
Robin: So do I.
Carly: Why don't you just hand over the deed to the Metro Court and save a few bucks?
Sonny: That'll work. I got a -- I got a nice casino down south of equal value.
Carly: No, no.
Sonny: What difference does it make? You're -- you're a gambler, right? I mean, think of the places, you know, you could take the new missus on your honeymoon and have fun --
Jax: How about that coffee plantation you own in Costa Rica? You're kind of attached to that, aren't you?
Carly: You both need to grow the hell up.
Sonny: You don't have to go away mad.
Carly: You know what, Sonny? You --
Carly: Hello? Ooh, Michael. Honey, what's -- what's wrong?
Luke: Your proposal has caught me unawares, madam. I have neither a ring nor even a cigar to offer you.
Laura: You without a cigar within easy reach? I guess something has changed. Oh, well, what about -- you gave me a ring four years ago, didn't you?
Luke: Oh, yes, yes. Yes, I did, but see, the hospitals, the damn hospitals -- they wouldn't allow you to have a -- any jewelry at all, and that worried me because if they wouldn't take responsibility for a little engagement ring, what does that say about the honesty of these health-care workers?
Laura: You threw it away, didn't you?
Luke: Yeah, I did.
Luke: But I was frustrated and I was furious and I had to do something, no matter how pathetic or futile.
Laura: I guess we could just pick another one out.
Luke: No, we don't have to. I already did. Two years ago on your birthday, I brought a ring to you. I showed it to you. I wanted you to know that I had replaced the one that I stupidly threw in the harbor.
Laura: Ok. Then maybe you somehow knew that this day was coming?
Luke: I thought I'd lost hope.
Laura: But I do have a ring?
Luke: Oh, you do, and it's a beauty. It's back at the house. It's still in that -- you know the beautiful music box that you liked so much?
Luke: It's there.
Laura: Oh. Oh, let's go get it!
Luke: Oh -- well, sweetheart, you know, we got a flat tire, so --
Laura: Oh, so what? We'll fix the flat tire. You can hot-wire a car, you can call a cab. You can call Sonny; get a jet to fly down and pick us up.
Laura: Who cares? Let's just go.
Luke: I could never deny you anything. I sure as hell am not going to start now.
Jason: Ok. Be careful -- the nurse is in the back with the baby.
Sam: How do you want to handle this?
Jason: Ok. If Alcazar supplied the flash drive, it had to come off a computer.
Sam: Hey, looks like his is up.
Jason: Alcazar isn't usually this careless.
Sam: It doesn't mean that Diego is.
Jason: What are you doing?
Sam: I learned the filing system at the PCPD and if Alcazar created a flash drive, he had to download specific software to do it like this.
Skye: I think I have to go back and get that little jacket I saw for her.
Lorenzo: Well, if you want to, then you should do it.
Skye: All right. I'm going to go check on Lila Rae.
Lorenzo: I'll check my messages.
Laura: Mom? Are you home?
Luke: I'll get the ring.
Luke: Here it is --
Luke: In the music box, right where I left it.
[Music box plays]
Laura: Oh. That's beautiful.
Luke: You like it?
Laura: Oh. Yeah. Huh.
Luke: Let's do this.
[Music box stops]
Luke: Let's do this right. Sit. Oh -- do you mind if I sit, too?
Laura: No, I don't mind.
Luke: Ok -- ahem. Ah. I get a charley horse. Laura, my love, my hope, my life, I don't deserve it. But if you would do me the honor of being my wife, I promise to love and protect you and be grateful every day for the rest of my life. Laura, will you marry me again?
Laura: Yes -- again and again and again and again and again. Oh.
Lulu: Oh. I'm sorry. Um -- uh, don't let me interrupt. Uh --
Laura: Oh, that's all right. That's all right, honey. I think probably it's something you should get used to. Uh -- your father and I plan to be doing a lot more kissing because we're going to get married again.
Sonny: Carly, what's going on?
Carly: Michael is claiming that he has a tummyache.
Sonny: What do you mean, "claiming"?
Carly: Michael, can you tell Leticia to give you some ginger ale, and I will be home as soon as I can? Ok, baby. Bye.
Sonny: That's it?
Carly: We can't indulge him, Sonny. You know, Michael and I have walked this path before and like father, like son, he knows that I'm out with Jax and he's trying to ruin our evening.
Sonny: Oh, so you're going to stay here, have fun with your boyfriend, candy boy -- is that what you're going to do? Ok, I -- I'll tell you what. I'm going to go check on my son because it seems to me like you don't care about the family anymore.
Jax: Wow. You're not going to fall for that, are you?
Carly: Fall for what?
Jax: Him manipulating you. Don't hand him the victory.
Carly: Like you did?
Lorenzo: How long has Diego been gone? Keep the guards on patrol. No, no. Nothing specific. Just a feeling. As for the situation with Morgan and his girlfriend -- right. Keep me posted.
Skye: I heard your daughter's been asking for you.
Lorenzo: Oh, yeah? Hey there, principessa. Oh, you're beautiful. Did you miss your daddy? Hmm?
Skye: Oh, looks like she had her brother to keep her company.
Lorenzo: Yeah, I'll speak to Diego about that. Shouldn't expect other people to clean up after him.
Skye: Oh, do you hear that, sweetie? Your father likes a neat and orderly house.
Skye: That way, he can tell if someone's been rifling through his stuff.
Lorenzo: And that's just one of the things you're going to get to know about your father. You're going to have a very different experience than your brother. He and I didn't really know each other. Well, we still don't despite our best efforts. But your mother has given me a beautiful opportunity. Want to know what that means? That means I'm going to get a second chance to be a really good father.
Lulu: Wow. Married? Oh, this is -- this is -- this is so surreal.
Laura: I know.
Laura: And you know something? Four years ago, I think you were supposed to be the flower girl or something like that. But this time, I'd like you to be the Maid of Honor.
Lulu: Oh, of course. I would love to, yes.
Laura: Oh, good. Good.
Luke: Well, this moment is throbbing with the promise of girl power. So if you'll excuse me, I'm going to leave you to it.
Laura: Where are you going?
Luke: I got to go back to the Haunted Star, honey. I've got to get that meeting over with my business partner.
Laura: Oh. Well, you're going to have to fill me in on how you and Tracy Quartermaine ended up being business partners.
Luke: Yeah, I will, baby. It's a hell of a story.
Luke: See you soon.
Lulu: I think -- I think dad's just kind of overwhelmed.
Laura: Yeah, I think we all are. Here, come on, sit with me.
Laura: Yeah. Come on.
Lulu: God, this is, like -- this is amazing. I'm -- I'm sitting on the couch with my mom, like -- like we're all normal, and --
Laura: Well, I hope that's a word that you don't bat around with your dad too often.
Lulu: Yes, I've learned not to.
Laura: You know, sweetie, I know that my accident has probably been harder on you than anyone in the family. No young girl should have to grow up without a mom.
Lulu: But you are here now, so that's all that matters.
Laura: All right. So now, tell me, how have you gotten along with your father?
Lulu: Uh -- bumpy.
Lulu: But it's been better lately. He's not what you would call a conventional dad.
Laura: No, he's not. But he loves you more than anything in the world.
Lulu: Yeah -- well, there were times that I was convinced that he didn’t.
Laura: Well, you're past that, aren't you?
Lulu: Yeah, for the most part.
Laura: Lulu -- honey, your father is a very complicated man. He's a man of many contradictions. And he has had a really hard life. And in a strange way, he's a little bit proud of that. But there's another side to him. Luke is capable of the most extraordinary kind of love and loyalty. And nothing means more to him than his family -- nothing. Your father is a wonderful man. But he is flawed.
Laura: Yeah. So am I. You know? And if you are looking for perfection in a parent or a friend --
Lulu: Oh --
Laura: Or in any human being, right? You're just setting yourself up to be incredibly disappointed.
Lulu: Yes, you are right, and I'm -- I am starting to get that. It's just -- hasn't been an easy awakening. I kind of -- I have a hard head.
Laura: Oh. Now that's a surprise.
Laura: I think the good news is that three hard heads really are better than one.
Laura: So, you've got me back now. Ok? And the Spencers are going to be a family again. And it's going to stay like that.
Patrick: Alan wants us both on this one for obvious reasons. Our patient is HIV positive. Apparently, Mr. Caldwell -- that's our patient -- was leaving a counseling session when a couple of jerks decided a public stoning was in order.
Robin: Yeah, I know. I read the police report. And I am happy to consult -- as long as another doctor performs the surgery.
Robin: April's surgery wasn't nearly as delicate as this one, and you still managed to get stuck with a needle. Look, we still don't know if you've contracted the virus.
Patrick: Wasn't that you promising just the other day to try and not influence what cases I choose to take?
Robin: Well, I reserve the right to point out when you're taking an unnecessary risk.
Patrick: You know what? It's your choice. Scrub in or not. I've got a surgery to perform.
Carly: Who's more annoying, you or Sonny?
Carly: He was obvious and childish, as usual, and you couldn't manage not to engage? What's next? Drag racing and beer drinking contests?
Jax: He challenged me.
Carly: So what? Here's a novel concept -- ignore him.
Jax: Ignore? You don't ignore --
Carly: And I thought for one second you were serious about betting my hotel.
Jax: I was. Listen, there's only one irreplaceable thing in my life, ok? And that's you.
Carly: Do you really mean that?
Jax: Of course I mean that.
Carly: That makes me happy. Gin.
Jax: Well, that would be good if we were playing that game.
Jax: You're worried about Michael, aren't you?
Jax: Let's go check on him. Come on. Come on.
Luke: Hey, people, hello. May I have your attention, please? Good evening. Welcome to the Haunted Star. We're closing early tonight. So I hope you all had a good time. Good night. Come on, people, out. This isn't a drill.
Woman: What is he doing?
Luke: Be sure to come again. Thanks very much for your business. Good night. Good night. You stay.
Nikolas: What's going on, Luke?
Luke: I'm calling a family meeting. Whether I like it or not, you're in. It's about your mother, Nikolas. I need your cooperation.
Sonny: Hey, you better --
Carly: Hi. Oh. Hey, sweetie. Come here. How are you feeling?
Michael: My stomach hurts.
Sonny: He looks pale.
Carly: Yeah, he does look a little pale. You don't feel better since you called me?
Michael: A little. When dad got back.
Sonny: What do -- what do you think?
Carly: He doesn't have a fever, so it has to be something he ate.
Sonny: Well, they gave him that weird project in health class.
Carly: I know, I know. Eat fruits and vegetables for one week and nothing but junk the next.
Carly: Who does that?
Sonny: It's terrible.
Carly: Come on. Come on, let's go upstairs. I'm going to give you some pink stuff.
Sonny: Yeah, buddy, come on.
Carly: We're going to wash it down with some ginger ale and you're going to feel fine.
Michael: But it was the vegetables that made me sick.
Sonny: Nice try, but no dice.
Elizabeth: So, does anybody know what's going on?
Bobbie: Luke said something about a private party for Laura.
Lulu: Uh -- I don't think she's invited, because I just left her at the house.
Lulu: No, no -- Grandma Lesley’s going to be there soon, but maybe it's a good thing that mom's not here, because then dad can feel free to explain.
Bobbie: A few ground rules would help.
Luke: Well, that's why we're all here, to get our stories straight.
Nikolas: You mean, your story.
Luke: I mean, the story, Nikolas. From now on, the only truth that we all have.
Elizabeth: Lucky, what are you doing here? You're not supposed to be out of rehab.
Lucky: I spoke to my counselor. He agreed with dad. Some things aren't in the rule book. What can we do?
Luke: I'm glad you're here. Look, everybody, Laura appears fine. And she's anxious to get back to her regular life. But her recovery is fragile at best. And there are certain things that if she remembers, could be dangerous and set her recovery back. So what I told her is that there was a car accident the night before we were to have our wedding four years ago. She was driving. The brakes failed. And that's how Rick Webber was killed.
Bobbie: Oh, Luke. Are you sure that's a good idea?
Luke: That's the story, Barbara, and we're all sticking to it. Now, listen to me -- all of her doctors agree that whatever happened between her and her stepfather in that attic that night is what triggered her illness. If she remembers that she killed Rick, we could lose her, forever.
Lesley: Hi, you're home!
Lesley: I thought you and Luke were going to stay in Beechers Corners tonight.
Laura: Um -- we were, but something happened.
Lesley: What happened? What? Where's Luke?
Laura: No, it's fine. Everything's fine. It's -- it's good. It's a good thing.
Lesley: It's ok?
Lesley: All right.
Laura: We got engaged.
Lesley: Oh -- oh.
Laura: Yeah, we came back here to get the ring.
Lesley: Oh, my. That is just so -- sudden. Luke -- Luke had -- Luke cannot rush you into things. He has to be more respectful of what you've been through.
Laura: He's not. I'm the one who proposed. And for me, you know, the last four years didn't happen. And it's just like yesterday, and the wedding is going forward just the way it was planned. Except for Rick, obviously.
[Music box plays]
Laura: Luke told me about the accident. That I was the one driving. I think I must have been driving Rick back to his hotel room. And that's when it happened. And he was killed. I still can't remember that part. It just goes blank. I've always loved your music box.
Laura: That is yours, isn't it?
Lesley: Yeah. When you were young, you loved it. You used to -- you used to love to listen to it for hours on end. My God, I got so sick of hearing that music one day, I just took it, I put it in the attic, so -- baby -- um -- you have to listen to me. Rick really loved you. You know that, right?
Lesley: So he wouldn't want you to remember him with anything other than happiness. That awful night has -- has vanished from your thinking. Good, great! Let's let it stay buried.
Skye: Ooh, famished.
Lorenzo: I'll whip something up.
Skye: But I sent the baby nurse home.
Lorenzo: Well, that's what baby monitors are for. Trust me, you don't want to miss this. Because I can make magic with some eggs and a slice of brie.
Lorenzo: Yeah. Might take me a while.
Sam: Let's get out of here while we have the chance.
Jason: Our only chance is on this computer.
Sam: We don't have time, Jason.
Jason: We can't go through all the documents, but I can copy the promising ones, send them to a dummy email of Stan’s, delete the process. Alcazar will never know.
[Lila Rae cries]
Jason: Turn off -- turn off the monitor.
Sam: We got to get out of here. They're going to know.
Jason: I just need a couple of minutes, please.
Sam: Hey, hey, hey, hey. I got you. I got you. Hi. Shh. Hi.
Carly: Michael will most likely sleep through the night. If he doesn't, I will call you.
Sonny: Oh, I'm not -- I'm not going anywhere.
Carly: You're going to leave this room, at least.
Sonny: What do you mean? My house? My sons? I'm not going to go anywhere.
Carly: Oh, come on.
Carly: At least give me a little respect here, Sonny.
Jax: Ok, you know what? You've made your feelings about our upcoming wedding clear. But it's going to happen anyway, which means we've all got a transition period ahead of us, which I'm certain won't be easy, but I think we can all agree on one thing -- that we need to make this transition as smooth as possible for the boys.
Sonny: My boys.
Carly: Our boys.
Sonny: All right.
Carly: Look, I'm doing you a favor by staying here to help out with Kristina and Molly. If you have anything to do -- if you have any phone calls to make, you can do it from your bedroom.
Sonny: Yeah, I'm going to go ahead and -- I'll go ahead and do what I got to do. You guys do whatever it is you do.
Sonny: But you got to face the facts, Jax. Married or not, no man will be taking my place with my family.
Robin: Oh. Stop.
Patrick: Don't ever do that again.
Robin: I made a suggestion.
Patrick: You were out of line.
Robin: I did not jeopardize the procedure or the patient in any way. All I did was point out a shortcut to some blind curves that you were about to run.
Patrick: Listen to me. We're going to get something clear once and for all. When I am operating, that is my room, my world, and my patient. Don't ever assume that you know best.
Robin: Well, excuse me for caring about you.
Patrick: Robin, our personal lives have no place in the OR and while we're on the subject, don't make the mistake of thinking you can tell me what to do just because I love you.
Robin: What did you just say?
Patrick: I think you heard me. I love you.
Nikolas: Even if we go along with Luke’s story, the police know the truth.
Luke: This is the miracle we've been waiting for. Laura's back. We have to protect her. You don't start slinging bad news at her.
Lulu: Mom told me not to expect perfection out of the people that you love, and maybe we're not giving her enough credit, dad.
Bobbie: Ok, I understand your reluctance about not wanting to keep secrets, but I do think that Luke is right. Look, four years ago, Laura shattered into pieces. And right now, we have absolutely no way of knowing just how stable or how precarious her mental state might be.
Elizabeth: We can't afford to make mistakes, even with the best of intentions.
Emily: I realize that I don't really get a vote in this, but for what it's worth, I think that we should follow Luke’s lead. I mean, he knows Laura better than anyone, and he obviously has her best interests at heart.
Lucky: I agree.
Lulu: Ok, yeah. Fine, I'm in.
Nikolas: All right, fine. I won't fight it, at least not for now, anyway.
Luke: Ok. Good. Now, for the twist. Laura and I are going to be remarried.
Tracy: Oops. That could be a problem. Because in case it slipped your mind in all the excitement, you are married -- to me.
Rick: What are you doing up here?
>> On the next "General Hospital" --
Robin: You don't love me.
Patrick: I love you.
Robin: Will you stop saying that?
Carly: I really want to build a life with you, unless you keep letting Sonny bait you like you did tonight.
Sam: Jason, help me.
Lorenzo: Skye, is the baby all right?
