Elizabeth: So now you're running around using your badge and your back injury to con pills out of unsuspecting doctors? My God, Lucky, when is this going to end?
Lucky: You're avoiding the question.
Elizabeth: Oh, am I?
Lucky: Yeah, I asked you the real reason why you wanted to end our marriage.
Elizabeth: Because you're a drug addict, and I will not subject any child of mine to the irresponsible way you live your life. Is that real enough?
Lucky: Why don't you just admit it? You're using the pills as an excuse. You're just -- are you mad at me because I had a thing with Maxie? Well, I put an end to that for good. I'll never see her again.
Elizabeth: Just leave me alone.
Lucky: Listen, you -- you got to listen to me. I'm never going to let go of you.
Nikolas: Get your hands off her.
Max: I'm telling you the truth, Mrs. C. A pipe broke in your kitchen. Your whole house is going to flood unless you do something about it.
Carly: I am so disappointed in you. I expected more from you, Max.
Max: This isn't a con. Leticia brought the boys over to Sonnyís.
Carly: You know, I want you to go back to Sonny and tell him this is juvenile. I'm not buying a word of it, ok? There's no water damage to my house, ok? The only thing pouring here are the lies from your mouth because Sonny doesn't want me with Jax.
Max: Hey, is that caviar and champagne right there?
Carly: Oh --
Jax: Have a good night.
Michael: Morgan, did you hear that?
Morgan: Yes, yes, yes. I did. I did.
Michael: If the house floods, we're going to stay here with dad -- mom, too. It's going to be so cool.
Lainey: Sonny, do you think we can have a moment alone?
Sonny: Yeah, yeah, sure. Um -- ok --
[Sonny claps his hands]
Sonny: You guys? You guys say good night to Dr. Winters, then you go upstairs and get ready to go to bed. Let's go, buddy.
Michael: Come on.
Morgan: Good night.
Michael: Good night.
Lainey: Good night.
Sonny: Bye. Bye. Hurry, hurry, hurry.
Michael: Come on. Come on, let's go.
Sonny: You -- you look like you can use that scotch.
Lainey: Yeah, maybe because I just watched you bold-face lie to your children.
Jason: There's something wrong with me. When I get hurt, I shut down. And I am trying to fight that because I don't want to do that to you.
Jason: I don't want to lose the years we spent together. I donít. Everything you gave me -- you know, my life -- I was going to die, and you refused to let me. And now your life is a nightmare, and I want to help you. You just need to tell me how.
Sam: Jason, if Alexis dies, I -- I can't let you help me. I'm going to have to find a way to stop needing you. When I first moved in with you, I was independent. And I'm not saying that I had a great life, but I knew that I could -- I could always count on myself. And then slowly, little by little, I started to count on you instead.
Jason: I -- I wanted you to count on me.
Sam: I know, Jason, I know, but I'm not just talking about money. Even though you supported me for more than two years of my life, and Alexis -- she thinks it's pitiful. She thinks it's a sign of weakness or something.
Jason: Come on, Sam -- Sam, you were pregnant. No one expected you to go back to work. And after the baby -- look, I needed you, ok? I said it. I needed you. I needed your help -- with Michael. And then I got sick. If you counted on me, I counted on you.
Sam: But you are ok on your own. Maybe -- maybe you miss me a little. I mean, I -- I'd like to think that you still do, but me -- I am the one whose life completely stopped, Jason. I mean, even after everything that's happening with Alexis and my sisters and -- it's -- it's like half of me is there. The other half is constantly looking, searching for my way back to you. You probably think I am completely insane.
Jason: When I -- when I sleep, you know, there's moments I wake up and I -- I still reach for you. And I remember why you're not with me, and everything comes flooding back to me, and I got to move, I got to get up, I got to go to work, I got to do everything I can to make myself stop thinking about you.
Sam: I didn't know that.
Jason: You like to think I miss you? I miss you all the time.
Mac: Maxie -- Maxie, sweetheart? Thank God you're all right. Do they know what caused the arrhythmia?
Maxie: It's complicated.
Mac: Well, simplify it for me.
Maxie: Ok. I overdosed.
Mac: On what?
Mac: Maxie, were you hurt? Did you misread the label? What?
Maxie: It was an accident -- or, at least I think so.
Mac: Maxie, what are you telling me?
Maxie: Dad, you really need to brace yourself because a lot's been going on you don't know about. I've been having an affair with Lucky Spencer. And he just dumped me. I mean, I thought he loved me, but he was just using me so that I would get him drugs.
Lucky: You need to butt out. This has nothing to do with you. It's between me and my wife.
Nikolas: Lucky, you don't have a wife anymore because you drove her away by choosing your drug habit and your girlfriend over your marriage.
Lucky: Listen, I am not an addict. These -- these are a prescription.
Elizabeth: Because you're lying to the doctors to get them.
Lucky: A staff doctor at Mercy Hospital would be able to tell the difference between a junkie and a patient in need.
Emily: Lucky, maybe you should go.
Lucky: You know what? I never should've bought into your speech about my so-called drug addiction because it doesn't exist.
Nikolas: No? Well, let's just take inventory for a minute, shall we? Ok, you cheated on the love of your life. You -- you alienated your friends, your family. Your wife is divorcing you, Lucky. Your life is falling apart. You understand that?
Lucky: You know what? My career is solid. It's -- it's better than it's ever been. In fact, the reason it's so good is because my brothers have given me their support from the force. Too bad I can't say the same about any of you.
Nikolas: This -- this is ridiculous. My aunt is in there fighting for her life, while you're throwing yours away and scrambling to justify it. Now, you can disrespect your own life if you want. That's your prerogative. But not me, not Emily, and not Elizabeth ever again, or I'll make sure you regret ever even looking at a pill. Now, just go home, Lucky, if you have one.
Sonny: I -- I made it clear to Michael and Morgan over and over again that Carly and I are divorced, we're not getting back together. I mean, we -- we're close, you know, and we'll help each other, but we can't be a couple again.
Lainey: No, your words and your actions are very different things, and Michael sees that clearly, believe me.
Sonny: How -- how do you know that?
Lainey: He just told me.
Sonny: What did he tell you?
Lainey: Well -- um -- let's see. You and Carly belong together, Jax is a distraction, and sooner or later, you will "get Jax" out of the way. And you can bet if that's what Michael thinks, Morgan does, too, because that's what his big brother's been telling him.
Sonny: All right, I'll -- I'll talk to Michael again.
Lainey: No --
Sonny: We'll figure it out.
Lainey: No. Why don't you change your confusing behavior? It's unhealthy all the way around.
Jax: Listen -- uh -- you sure you don't want to -- never mind. I'm sure everything's fine.
Carly: Max is just a mouthpiece for my ex-husband who has a really big ego and he can't stand the fact that I am here with you. I'm not thinking about Sonny, you shouldn't either.
[Knock on door]
Max: Mrs. C, please! You have to listen or you're really going to regret it!
Carly: I am going to show you what regret is if you don't get out of my hotel!
Jax: I think it worked.
[Knock on door]
Max: I don't want to, but I'm going to pick the lock if you give me no other choice.
Carly: I get that you're the messenger, and I really don't want to have to shoot you, ok? You are a loyal employee to Sonny; you are a friend of mine, I know you're just doing what he's telling you to do, and I'm not mad at you, I swear, ok, Max?
Max: Thank you, Mrs. C.
Carly: I want you to go back to Sonny and tell him my reaction -- was "horse-pucky." Ok?
Sonny: I think you're reading this all wrong. The person with the destructive cycle here is not me, it's Carly.
Lainey: Really? And how do you figure that?
Sonny: Well, she's like one of those bunnies with the batteries that never wear down, and for the most part, you know, it's true. She's an ultimate survivor -- you knock her down, she gets right back up. †But it doesn't mean she doesn't get scarred and bruised when she falls, and the best way to hurt Carly -- you want to know what that is?
Sonny: You leave her.
Lainey: Well, very perceptive. I -- I'm so fascinated by this impromptu analysis, really. I mean, continue. I might learn something here.
Sonny: Now you're making fun of me.
Lainey: Ah, maybe a little bit but, please, don't let it stop you.
Sonny: Well, you know the rest -- Carly was your patient. You know the whole story about how she feels about her mother abandoning her and her adoptive father running out on her, and now she's repeating the same pattern.
Lainey: We all do.
Lainey: That's the point of therapy -- recognize your patterns and try to avoid them.
Sonny: But Carly hasn't mastered that. She doesn't know how to protect her heart. She gives a lot of love, and when that goes away, she self-destructs, and that's what scares me. And now she's with the biggest user of all -- Jax -- who's going to just, you know, use her up until he's done with her and he dumps her in the garbage. So, what I'm saying is if Carly can't see that coming and I can since, you know -- then it's my duty, as her ex-husband, as her friend, to make sure that Jax does not hurt her. I'm just going to run a little interference. He'll get bored, he'll go away, my kids and Carly will be safe, and then everything will go back to being normal.
Lainey: I can't say that I buy your motives. But even if I did, I have huge misgivings about the end result.
Carly: Max is a pretty truthful guy, though. I mean, he's lied to me in the past, but that was only under Sonny's orders -- like when Sonny went away with Emily, he lied to me like crazy. It took me almost an hour to break him into submission.
Jax: But you knew that he was lying?
Carly: Yeah. It was obvious.
Carly: Because he's a terrible liar. You know, he -- he twitches, he looks everywhere but in your eye, and he sweats like a walrus and he always trips over his tongue.
Jax: Oh, that's interesting because I didn't notice any of that tonight.
Jax: You know, I'm pretty good at calling a bluff, but in my professional opinion --
Carly: My house is under an ocean of water.
Jason: I hoped when I got back from my trip that we could just, you know, try again. I mean, I thought about it a lot -- what I can do to change things or make things better; how just to find a way to get past what happened. I actually thought about taking you out on a date. You know, maybe to a concert, or to go to Manhattan to see a play.
Sam: A play? Don't you think you'd be bored?
Jason: No. Because while you were watching the play, I'd be watching you. You know, you really get into that stuff -- you're laughing and you're crying and you're squirming around, you're covering your eyes.
Sam: Oh, come on, I don't do that.
Jason: Every time you watch a movie --
Sam: Oh --
Jason: And it really started to worry me for a while.
Sam: Are you talking about the time that I was on the couch watching that movie and I started --
Jason: You were crying so hard --
Sam: That was just one --
Jason: That you could barely see. Your eyes were like --
Sam: Oh, come -- it wasn't that bad.
Jason: What are you talking about? Your face was all red, your nose was running, and I thought something terrible, horrible had happened, and I asked you, and you said, "No, no, it's fine." So I said, "Ok, I'm going to go upstairs, go to bed." I hear the TV come on, I come back downstairs, and you're crying even harder than you were the first time.
Sam: That's because it was the saddest part of "Gone with the Wind."
Jason: You could've told me.
Sam: I was -- I was still just getting to know you, you know, and I was trying to act all tough. Besides, you were so calm and cool and in control. I just -- you know, I -- I thought for sure you would think that I was really silly.
Jason: And when you finally told me you were upset about a movie --
Sam: You wanted to stay with me. Jason, you were so sweet. I mean, I -- I think that you were kind of confused a little bit. You really didn't know what was going on when you agreed to stay there. And I can remember we turned that movie back on, and I tried to hold it in, and I just started to tear up again. And I remember thinking to myself, "This -- this guy is sitting beside me, and he has no idea what's going on and he probably thinks that I am insane."
Jason: Actually, right at that moment, I was thinking, "Wow, is she beautiful. And I probably don't understand her and I probably never will," but I started to like you a lot.
Sam: I don't -- I don't think I'm ever going to be able to watch "Gone with the Wind" again without you. I just -- I don't think I'd be able to handle it. †I'm going to go downstairs. Alexis' surgery is probably over.
Carly: I know Sonny is behind this, ok? I know that he is. There's no way that my house is going to flood tonight of all nights.
Jax: Well --
Carly: Oh, my God! That's it. That's it. First your car, now my house.
Jax: Whoa, whoa, whoa --
Carly: I'm going to kill him!
Jax: Whoa, whoa, whoa --
Jax: One second. That's exactly what he wants you to do -- go flying off the handle, running over there. You know, negative attention being better than no attention at all. Let's just deal with this, ok, and we'll move on. Don't do what I have a sinking feeling you're about to do.
Max: I'm sorry, boss. Mrs. C didn't buy it.
Sonny: It's not your fault, Max. I'm sure Jax took every opportunity to undermine you.
Max: Well, actually, Jax looked like he believed me.
Sonny: What did Carly say?
Sonny: What kind of question is that, Max?
Sonny: Horse-pucky? What do you mean?
Max: Carly said "horse-pucky," then she slammed the door in my face.
Sonny: Oh. All right, you know what? Carly's so deep in with Jax, she don't even care her house is flooding? I'm going to have to take a different -- different tactic here, ok? I want you to get a plumber over there and just, you know, get a construction crew in the morning.
Sonny: How long do you think it's going to take to -- for that house to be livable?
Max: About 24 hours.
Sonny: Ok, make it -- make it a week.
Emily: Are you sure you're all right?
Elizabeth: No. I'm just doing what I have to do.
Emily: I hate that this is happening. Is there anything we can do to stop it?
Elizabeth: Can you take away the drug addiction? How about that image that's been seared into my brain of my husband having sex with Maxie?
Emily: Oh, God. Elizabeth, I'm so sorry. I -- I have to go.
Elizabeth: Go, it's fine.
Emily: Will you page me if there's any news on Alexis?
Nikolas and Elizabeth: Yeah.
Elizabeth: Where do I even begin to thank you? For sticking up for me and not saying anything about my pregnancy? I know it wasn't easy keeping your mouth shut in front of Lucky, and especially keeping a secret from Emily when I know you guys are trying to rebuild your trust.
Nikolas: Your pregnancy is your decision to tell or not to tell. What worries me is the constant fighting with Lucky, on top of keeping such a huge secret, only adds up to exactly what you're trying to -- trying to avoid -- that's stress.
Elizabeth: I'm a lot stronger than I look.
Nikolas: Hey, you don't have to convince me of that.
Elizabeth: Well, if anything, tonight just reinforced my decision. Lucky's so far in denial, he won't even acknowledge that I filed for divorce, much less the extent of his addiction.
Nikolas: I just -- I feel so helpless. Lucky's in the worst trouble of his life, and there's nothing I can do to help him.
Elizabeth: Welcome to my world.
Sam: What happened? Is everything ok with Alexis? Please, tell me my mother survived the surgery.
Georgie: Maxie, what in the world is going on?
Maxie: Didn't Mac tell you?
Georgie: No. No, he just said you were in a hospital and that I needed to come see you.
Maxie: I'm really glad you're here. I've been kind of worried since Mac left. I mean, a lot went down tonight.
Georgie: I get the feeling Lucky was involved.
Maxie: Yeah, he blew me off. Like I meant nothing to him. I was devastated.
Georgie: Maxie, I'm really sorry, but I -- I did warn you.
Maxie: Georgie, do you want to hear what happened to me tonight, or do you want to throw around a bunch of I-told-you-sos?
Georgie: Ok, I'm sorry.
Maxie: Look, I thought that I would die without Lucky. And then I thought, hey, maybe that's not such a bad idea.
Georgie: Maxie, what are you saying?
Maxie: I just thought if Lucky thought that I O.D.'d, then --
Georgie: Oh, my God -- Maxie, you were going to kill yourself -- over somebody that was never yours in the first place?
Maxie: No, no, of course not. I just took a few pills. And then I spread the rest around the bed to make it look like a real suicide attempt. And then I -- I called him. And the next thing I remember, I -- I woke up here.
Georgie: Maxie, did the pills do something to your heart?
Maxie: The doctor pumped my stomach -- which was not pleasant, by the way. But I felt better after that. And then they gave me methadone, which made my heart go crazy.
Georgie: Oh, my God -- Maxie, do you realize you could have died tonight?
Maxie: Well, I thought I had the whole thing under control. I never thought my heart would be in danger. Look, I know it was stupid, ok? I know that. That just proves how far gone I was over him. But he admitted that he never cared about me. Lucky was really just using me the whole time. I mean, I know I was lonely and vulnerable because of Jesseís death, but Lucky used me.
Georgie: Save it, Maxie. That's a crock, and you know it. What Lucky did was wrong, but you are no victim here. You were sleeping with a married man, and you didn't even care when his wife found out about it. So please, save this innocent routine for Mac. He might actually believe it.
[Pounding on door]
Mac: Lucky, open up. It's Mac.
Lucky: I'm coming! I'm coming. Coming. Hey, Mac, I was going to call you first thing in the morning about the carver case --
[Mac throws Lucky against wall]
Mac: Do you know where I've just been? Mercy Hospital -- where Maxieís being treated for a heart problem brought on by complications from a drug overdose. It seems Maxie lost the will to live, Lucky, because you used her, then tossed her away!
Lucky: I'm sorry, Mac. I'm sorry. I -- I know it was wrong to get involved with Maxie but I swear, I don't even know how it happened!
Mac: I don't want to hear your excuses, you sorry son of a bitch!
Lucky: Mac --
Mac: Maxie told me everything, Lucky. How you're hooked on pain meds. How you seduced my daughter, and then sent her down to the docks to score for you. As a father, I want to see you dead. As the police commissioner, I ought to bust you right here and throw you in jail. But I wonít.
Lucky: You won't?
Mac: No, I wonít. You know why? Because the embarrassment and the hardship for my daughter isn't worth the satisfaction for me. You see, Maxieís the police commissioner's daughter, and you are Port Charles' biggest hero. The press would have a field day with that, Lucky. They would hound Maxie into another heart problem, or make her into a -- into a joke -- like she was to you.
Lucky: No, that's -- Mac, that's not true. You know that I care about Maxie.
Mac: Don't -- don't care about her, all right? Don't care about her. Just leave her alone. You understand me?
Lucky: I will. I -- I promise, I will.
Mac: Don't make the mistake of thinking you're going to skate on this. I might not toss you in jail, but one thing is for sure. You are fired.
Robin: Alexis survived the surgery. The chest tube is relieving the pressure on her lung.
Nikolas: Thank God.
Sam: Ok, I -- um -- I guess I should -- somebody call Ric.
Robin: I just called him. I'm going to tell you what I told him. This is one small win in a long line of bigger battles. Alexis is still critical. And if she doesn't respond well to the medication for her pneumonia --
Nikolas: So, she -- she may still not make it?
Robin: I promise you, we're going to do everything in our power to make sure that doesn't happen.
Sam: Thank you. Um -- I'm going to go home to check on Kristina and Molly.
Sam: Do you want to come or --
Nikolas: No, no, no. Just give Kristina my love for me, ok?
Nikolas: Excuse me. If you're -- if you're here to check on Alexis, it's still touch and go.
Jason: Oh, she made it through the surgery?
Nikolas: Yes, yes, but apparently, that may not be enough. I -- I don't know if Sam has spoken to you or not, but we've discussed what will happen to Kristina and Molly in the event that Alexis doesn't make it. I -- I told her that I'm -- I'm fine with her raising the girls, as long as she's not with you. It's not personal. But Alexis has made her -- her wishes clear, and I'm obligated to push them through. So would you please give me your word? If Alexis does not make it, you stay away from Sam and my cousins?
Jason: I'll respect whatever decision Sam makes.
Nikolas: Ok, that's a start. Thank you. I'll talk to you later.
Elizabeth: Ok. Thanks. Hey, are you ok?
Jason: Yeah, yeah. You know what? I just -- I need -- I need an honest answer.
Jason: Ok? From what you know -- from similar cases you've seen, do you think Alexis will live?
Elizabeth: Well, I can't say there's no hope. But at this point, I don't think she can survive.
Sonny: Ok, pal. It's about time you -- you know what's going on here.
Michael: I know what's going on. You are trying to get mom to stay over for a couple days so you guys can get back together.
Sonny: Those are some big ears you've got there, buddy.
Michael: Thank you.
Sonny: But you know what the problem with eavesdropping is? You don't get the whole picture, so I'm going to straighten you out.
Sonny: Ok, it's true, I don't -- I don't think Jax is good enough for your mother. He's -- ok, anyway -- that doesn't mean I want to get back with -- with Carly. And I love your mother, right? But we -- we're not good at being married, because we -- we fight all the time, right?
Michael: But fighting is how you and mom show how much you love each other.
Sonny: Ok, that's a little too simplistic, and I'm not going to get into all the reasons why with you right now. I'm just going to tell you that it's just not a healthy way to live for me -- and your mother or you and -- and Morgan, ok? Your mother and I -- look, we'll always care about each other, we'll always help each other out, but we're not getting back together, and I need to hear you say that.
[Door opens and closes]
Sonny: Say it.
Carly: Sonny! You are unbelievable. How dare you flood my house!
Jason: Sam promised to take care of Kristina and Molly if Alexis dies. And I'm -- and I'm too dangerous for them to be around.
Elizabeth: But you keep Sonny's kids safe. Why can't you do the same for the girls?
Jason: Because Alexis doesn't buy that. And Sam has to honor her wishes.
Elizabeth: I'm sorry, I have to go.
Jason: That's ok. Hey, hey, hey -- are you -- are you ok?
Elizabeth: Yeah, I'm -- I'm just a little lightheaded. I just need to eat.
Jason: You want me to get you -- grab something?
Elizabeth: No. No, no, no, I'll be fine. Ok.
Mac: Elizabeth -- Elizabeth -- what were you thinking?
Elizabeth: Excuse me?
Mac: Maxie just told me about her affair with Lucky. How he used her as a source for drugs and then stomped on her heart like he found it at the bottom of his shoe. Where were you? Where were you when your husband was running amuck, endangering my daughter's life, Elizabeth?
Elizabeth: Mac, I -- I -- I'm sorry --
Jason: Hey -- hey, Mac, are you mad at Lucky? Because you should be. Elizabeth has done nothing wrong, so you just need to back off.
Kristina: Sam -- Sam, is mommy better yet?
Sam: Hey. Come here. Oh. I missed you. Come on the couch with me. So, I went to see mommy today, ok? And mommy had to have another operation while she was taking her special nap.
Kristina: When is she going to come home?
Sam: You know, I am so sorry, but I -- I don't know, and the doctors don't know yet. But I hope it's really soon, because we miss her, don't we?
Kristina: I'm glad you're here, Sam.
Sam: I am, too.
Carly: Michael, it's past your bedtime.
Michael: But I want to hear it.
Sonny: You heard it. Go. Go upstairs. Go to bed.
Michael: Ok. Have a good night.
Sonny: Yeah. And don't be listening on the -- or you're in trouble.
Michael: I wonít.
Sonny: Do not scream, because he thinks we're hooking up and, you know --
Carly: Oh, why would he think that?
Sonny: Well, I don't -- he's convinced that we're getting back together, and every time we scream, he -- even he knows that -- I don't know -- it turns us on or something.
Carly: Do I look turned on? I'm not turned on. I'm furious with you. How could you flood my house to stop me from spending the night with Jax? How could you do that?
Sonny: I did what I had to do. I told you not to sleep with him. You're crazy enough to do it. You're going to have to accept the consequences.
Carly: Are you denying that you sabotaged my kitchen pipes?
Carly: You're lying.
Sonny: I'm offended.
Sonny: I'm offended. We've known each other how long? And we've been married, what, three times?
Carly: Don't remind me.
Sonny: Well, I --
Carly: What's your point?
Sonny: I tell you the truth; you don't believe me.
Carly: It's way too convenient. The one night I want to spend with Jax, my house spontaneously floods? Give me a break, Sonny.
Sonny: Ok, I admit, had Max tinker with Jaxís car.
Carly: I knew it.
Sonny: Because I wanted to talk to you, you know? Then you blew me off. And I washed my hands. I never touched your pipes.
Carly: Ok. All right, let's say I believe you, ok?
Carly: You're going to take advantage of this situation, and I'm not going to let you.
Sonny: What am I taking advantage of?
Carly: You have us all here! Me, Michael, Morgan, theoretically without a place to go.
Carly: But you know what? That's wrong. I have a home. I'm going to go to the Metro Court and I'm going to keep us there until my house is fixed.
Sonny: Oh, you want the kids to stay in a hotel where there's no yard, no toys, no security to even talk about? Why don't you ask the kids what they'd prefer? To camp out at the Metro Court, or stay here --
Carly: Don't even try it.
Sonny: With family --
Carly: Stop manipulating the situation! I'm not going to let you do it.
Sonny: Well, I'm just saying -- come on.
Carly: You know what, Sonny? You're just trying to control me.
Sonny: No, I'm trying to help you. You're not grateful.
Max: Go back to your room. You shouldn't be hearing this.
Michael: No, it just means that they're getting back together.
Carly: You're going to pull that this time?
Sonny: No, I am. I'm not going to pull that, I'm just going to do it.
Carly: This is ridiculous. You do this every time.
Sam: You know, it's been a long day, so what do you say I take you in your room and tuck you into bed?
Jason: Elizabeth --
Jason: I'm sorry, I didn't --
Elizabeth: Oh, no, that's -- don't apologize. I was just --
Elizabeth: I thought I was doing such a good job of covering it.
Jason: There's a lot going on.
Elizabeth: You have no idea.
Jason: You -- you want to tell me? Let me help you?
Elizabeth: About that trip to Italy --
Jason: Yeah, like I said before, if you need a place to go clear your head, that is a great place. I could get you out on the next flight if that's what you want.
Elizabeth: Where do we even start?
Jason: Uh -- Venice. You know? You can walk. I mean, you have to walk everywhere. You take one of those boats, or --
Elizabeth: I've read that the light in Venice is different from any other place on the earth. Do you think that's true? Or do you think that's just something they tell the tourists?
Jason: Uh -- as far as I know, you know, it's true. You know? Something about the mist and the water.
Elizabeth: I sure wish I could see it for myself one day. But I can't go to Italy, not now. Because I have to go home tonight and I -- I have to read my son a story and tuck him in. I'm going to have to explain to him why his daddy isn't coming home, again. I hate these pills. I just wish that I could blow up the factory that makes them. That's a good solution, isn't it? About as effective as asking Lucky if he can just stop taking the pills. And now, Mac -- Macís -- he's blaming me for -- for Maxie sleeping with Lucky?
Jason: Yeah, Mac -- he actually told me to tell you that he's sorry for going off on you.
Elizabeth: Whatever -- I don't -- I don't even care. What scares me is how furious he is at Lucky. You know, as if we need more proof of how Lucky has completely destroyed his life. And now, he has a -- a legitimate prescription for a new series of pain pills, and he has convinced himself that he is not an addict. And on top of all that, now he has something to prove to his boss? He's a walking time bomb. Jason, please, just -- please just watch your back.
Lucky: Cruz, it's me. My career is on the line. And I need you to pull everything we got on Jason Morgan. I know. I need a reason. I'll make it up if I have to. Jason Morgan is the biggest collar in this city. And I want to take him down tomorrow.
>> On the next "General Hospital" --
Lucky: I got a job to get back. I've got my wife to get back.
Jax: How's Lucky?
Elizabeth: He's not really doing well. I just can't shake the feeling that something bad is going to happen again.
Lucky: I'm about to bust Jason Morgan. I have some important information -- it's about Sam.
