Elizabeth: I need to make an appointment with you as soon as possible.

Kelly: You sound worried. Is there a problem?

Elizabeth: I took a home pregnancy test and it's positive.

Kelly: So are congratulations in order?

Elizabeth: First I need to make sure I'm really pregnant.

Michael: Can you believe that thing?

Morgan: Uh-uh.

Carly: Hey.

Michael: Wow, awesome --

Carly: What are you guys looking at? Oop, excuse me.

[Knock on door]

Carly: What is that?

Jax: Hey, boys.

Michael: Hey.

Carly: Oh, my --

Jax: How's it going?

Michael: Pretty good.

Jax: Hello. So, what do you think?

Lorenzo: I have a business proposition for you.

Ric: Well, you can call my secretary. Right now, I'm on my way to see my wife. She's just had surgery, not that you really care.

Lorenzo: Well, business before personal life. How would you like to be rid of Jason Morgan once and for all?

Alexis: Stop it. Stop it! My God. How could you do this?

Sam: Jason? Hi, I -- oh. Look, I know you won't be able to call, but I wanted to let you know that I wasn't able to tell Alexis yet -- I mean, anything, you know, about us. The biopsy wasn't good. The cancer is -- spreading and she's not doing well, and I'm -- I'm okay, I guess. I mean, I'm okay, considering the circumstances. I just --

Alexis: Sam?

Sam: I'll be really --

Carly: First you bribe my kids with that dinosaur, and now this.

Jax: Oh --

Carly: You know, I thought you had a little more integrity.

Jax: Since when have you been opposed to a generous bribe?

Carly: I don't drive and you know it.

Jax: Well, you know how to drive, right?

Carly: Last time I tried, I drove myself off a bluff into a harbor and I'm never going to do it again.

Jax: Come on, you've never been one to back down from a challenge. Besides, it's a 1957 Chevy convertible.

Carly: Which you obviously want for yourself, because if you're trying to buy my affection, try giving me something I can use.

Morgan: Put --

Jax: Hey, guys, what do you think of the car?

Michael: It's the coolest present ever.

Jax: "Coolest present ever" -- see? And I had them custom-paint it to match the color of your eyes. No, really. I -- I had them redo it six times to get it absolutely spot-on.

Michael: Can we go sit in it?

Jax: Yeah, absolutely. Let's go sit in it.

Carly: No.

Jax: Come on.

Carly: No. Oh.

Jax: I can't -- oh, look at them. Come on. Look, it's their dream car.

Carly: Yeah, which is the point, right? If my kids love it, then I'll have to keep it whether I drive it or not.

Jax: Well, I mean, you turned down the champagne and moonlight and the dinner in Paris. And you didn't like the dinosaur, so what else was I supposed to do? Buy you a car.

Carly: Leave my kids out of it.

[Jax sighs]

Jax: Whatever you say.

Carly: Great. Glad we have that settled.

Jax: Good.

Carly: Good.

Jax: So do you want to tell them that the car has to go back or do you want me to do it?

Elizabeth: I didn't expect you.

Lucky: That's pretty obvious.

Elizabeth: What are you doing home so early?

Lucky: I changed shifts. Who was on the phone?

Elizabeth: The hospital. I just got called in.

Lucky: Well, I was hoping we could spend more time together.

Elizabeth: Well, I have to go in right now.

Lucky: Well, are -- are you sure?

Elizabeth: Don't.

Lucky: How long you plan on punishing me?

Lorenzo: I have serious business to conduct over the next several months. It would be easier with the D.A. on my side and the Corinthos organization neutralized. I imagine that would work for you, as well.

Ric: You want to get to the point?

Lorenzo: If Sonny and Jason were provoked into defending their territory, came out guns blazing, you were to arrest them, get them off the streets, that would be a win-win situation.

Ric: Hmm. I see.

Lorenzo: You'd win the admiration of your superiors, not to mention the public. And you could finally break free of Sonny.

Ric: Well, see, my brother and I have settled our differences.

Lorenzo: I must've missed that.

Ric: Yeah -- must have.

Lorenzo: Ric? You could finally step out from your brother's shadow and stop waiting for the respect you are never going to get. And you'd be rid of Jason.

Ric: Jason is a mindless criminal who has the I.Q. of concrete.

Lorenzo: That may be true. Nevertheless, he's standing between you and your brother. And Sonny believes in Jason and he's loyal to Jason.

Ric: Well, then, that's Sonny's problem.

Lorenzo: Oh, if you say so. But imagine your world without Jason Morgan in it.

Sam: You feeling any better?

Alexis: Actually, I'm craving a cup of coffee, so that's probably a good sign.

Sam: That is. It's a great sign. I'm going to go get you a cup.

Alexis: Oh, hold it. I think it might be on the post-op forbidden list. I didn't know the cell phone works in here. Who were you talking to?

Sam: Um -- I was -- I called work, tell them I wasn't coming in.

Alexis: You know what? There's really nothing you can do here. You should really go down to the station.

Sam: No. You should really have family around.

Alexis: I appreciate you being here, but it's not going to help me heal any faster.

Sam: You don't know that. It might. Actually, I've read a lot of books in the waiting area about the power of family connection.

Alexis: Oh, I'm big into research, too. But you really need to take a break from the hospital.

Sam: I -- I want to stick around to talk to Dr. Trent.

Alexis: I've already filled you in on the highlights. I'm going to stay here for a couple of days because I'm at risk for pneumonia and I won't be starting the chemo until I feel better.

Sam: But you will be starting the chemo?

Alexis: I haven't made any decisions, Sam, because I think I should wait until I feel better. The good news is that I can catch up on reading all those great works of literature that I've been meaning to read since prep school, and the even better news is that I won't have to go to the mayor's cocktail party. Maybe there is something that you can do for me.

Ric: You know, instead of targeting my brother's organization, I can arrest you just as easily.

Lorenzo: Right. Imagine the headlines -- "D.A. arrests concerned citizen for no good reason."

Ric: You've been more than a concerned citizen, Alcazar.

Lorenzo: Well, you're right about that. My connections go far above the district attorney's office of Port Charles.

Ric: Yeah, see, the only problem with feeling untouchable -- it can become a fatal flaw.

Lorenzo: Speaking of -- you've transformed yourself into quite the noble crusader, haven't you? Out to clean up the streets as well as be the perfect husband. But I know the real you. I was in that panic room and I saw what you did to Carly.

Ric: We've gotten past that, haven't we?

Lorenzo: Well, if you believe that, you're as crazy as your brother.

Ric: Okay.

Lorenzo: You missed the perfect, perfect opportunity, Ric. You should've left Sonny to his insanity. The man wouldn't have a diagnosis, much less any medication. He would be weak and malleable and you could swoop in and pull the strings and you would have the real power.

Ric: See, that's not what I wanted.

Lorenzo: Hmm. I see. Just wanted to help, did you? Nevertheless, Jason Morgan got in the way again. That must be very frustrating.

Ric: No.

Lorenzo: I think you would make a much better second to Sonny than Morgan.

Ric: Well, thank you very much, but I'm the district attorney. My only interest in organized crime is shutting it down.

Lorenzo: Well, then you should consider my offer, because you could swoop in, get Morgan off the streets, and destroy everything Jason cares about. And I imagine your wife would be very grateful, as well --

Ric: Oh.

Lorenzo: Because Alexis wouldn't have to be worrying about Sonny's violent life, and your children would finally be safe.

Ric: Wow. You are quite the humanitarian, Alcazar, especially when my family and my children are concerned. My answer is no.

Lorenzo: I see. Devoted to Sonny despite his contempt for you. Finally made peace, hmm, with forever being the also-ran?

Lucky: How many times do I have to apologize? I hate myself for what I did, but you plan to keep punishing me for it?

Elizabeth: I didn't leave you when I caught you having sex with Maxie in our bed. I sent my child out of the apartment so you could quit your pills on your own. I am doing the best I can to help you stay clean and sober even though every medical professional I know has suggested you be in rehab, and I am punishing you?

Lucky: It was the pills. I wasn't thinking clearly.

Elizabeth: I really want to believe that you're recovering and that things are going to get better. It's just going to take time.

Lucky: So you think I'm going to have a relapse?

Elizabeth: I'm not having this fight.

Michael: That car is amazing. Can you take us for a ride? Please?

Jax: Yeah, sure.

Carly: Oh, "yeah, sure" -- all the way back to the showroom.

Michael: But, Mom --

Carly: And you can explain to my boys why we have to give the car back.

Michael: Don't you even want to go outside and look at it?

Carly: No, I don't, and I'm sorry, because I know how frustrating this is for you. So if you feel the need to yell at Jax all the way to the car dealership because you've been blatantly manipulated by someone who should know better, feel free.

Michael: Really?

Carly: Yes, really. And, Morgan, come here, sweetie. You have my permission to whine every second that you're with Jax this afternoon. And when you're at the car dealership, if you want to throw a temper tantrum because you have to give the car back, I completely understand, okay?

Morgan: Okay.

Carly: Oh -- Michael? You know how you like to yell instructions to Max while he's driving?

Michael: Mm-hmm.

Carly: Do the same thing to Jax. Have a nice ride.

Morgan: Okay. That would be fun.

Jax: Where's my -- where's my kiss?

Michael: Well --

Jax: Thanks. Appreciate that.

Michael: Yeah, she's still mad at you.

Jax: No kidding.

Michael: Why did you buy her such a cool car when you know she doesn't like to drive?

Jax: Because I knew that you and Morgan would just love it and --

Michael: Which we do.

Jax: I thought that your enthusiasm would bring your mother around.

Michael: Yeah, you're going to have to work a lot harder to make her like you again.

Ric: Hey. Add to the plethora of flowers here, but look what else I got, huh?

Alexis: Hmm.

Ric: Hmm? You like that?

Alexis: Dr. Trent says I can't have that.

Ric: Well, he's a sadist. Look, Molly and Kristina both signed the card. They send their love. I think Molly might've dribbled on it a little bit there.

Alexis: I love that. They're beautiful, thank you.

Sam: Here. You can drink this. I'm going to put these over there.

Alexis: I've been thinking.

Ric: Oh. Well, that must mean you're getting better.

Alexis: Since I'm fortunate enough to not have to go to the mayor's mind-numbing cocktail party, it turns out that you do have to be there. You have to make an appearance as the interim D.A.

Ric: Yeah, well.

Alexis: I think that you should take Sam.

Sam: I -- I don't get along with the mayor at all.

Alexis: But no one does, except a bunch of Republican friends.

Sam: Really, though. I -- I am not good at parties like this. I always say the wrong things. I've been known to throw a drink or two on some really important people.

Alexis: That was just a misunderstanding.

Sam: No, I'm a huge liability, I promise.

Alexis: Nonsense.

Ric: You know, no, I don't like parties, either, but Alexis is right. This -- it would be good for us to be there.

Alexis: He's right.

Ric: I mean, just our presence as her husband and daughter would make a very positive statement.

Alexis: I mean, if he goes alone, everyone will wonder why he isn't sitting at his wife's sickbed.

Sam: Hey, you're getting better.

Alexis: Well, the people at the mayor's cocktail party need to know that.

Sam: Look I just -- I don't understand. Why do you even have to go? Isn't there such a thing as extenuating circumstances?

Ric: No, not according to Mayor Floyd. Look, Alexis is right. We need to sell the idea that she is on the mend.

Alexis: Mayor Floyd's been very tolerant of my illness. But he wouldn't hesitate to shut the door. So I need someone to go there and hold my place.

Ric: Yes, that is until you go back to work.

Sam: Which will happen very soon.

Alexis: So then we all agree?

Sam: We do?

Alexis: Sam, I really want you to go to the party with Ric. It would mean a lot to me.

Carly: I am co-owner of this hotel. I don't care who authorized the transaction. There's no deal until I sign off on it -- do you understand?

Jax: Mission accomplished. The Chevy -- it's back at the dealership and the kids are fine.

Carly: What'd you bribe them with?

Jax: I just told them it was a matter of their mother's pride.

Carly: Answer the question.

Jax: Okay. Banana split and strawberry ice cream.

Carly: What do you mean, "their mother's pride"?

Jax: Well, I just told them that you really loved the car, but you were too proud to take it.

Carly: I didn't love the car. I don't love any car, and I don't appreciate you manipulating my children. And why were you trying to sell my hotel in Albany out from under my--

Jax: What hotel?

Carly: Your name is all over the sales contract, which I have to sign, by the way, and there's no way in hell I'm going to do that.

Jax: Oh, right -- that hotel. Well, it was just -- it was a good time to sell.

Carly: I found that hotel! I originated the deal. Did you see the numbers that hotel was making?

Jax: Yes, I saw the numbers. That's why it's a good time to sell. We'd make a lot of money on the deal.

Carly: "We"?

Jax: We're partners, remember?

Carly: Not anymore.

Anna: Hi.

Lorenzo: Hi.

Anna: Nice to see you again.

Lorenzo: Don't expect me to believe this is a coincidence.

Anna: Okay.

Lorenzo: All the run-ins, misplaced cell phone -- just an excuse for you to get close to me, right? Give you the information you need? Why pretend otherwise?

Anna: Ooh. So much for playing hard to get.

Lorenzo: Mm-hmm. You work for the agency. I occasionally work for a powerful government group, moving weapons for covert operations. You need names, I'm your man.

Anna: You don't think I could be interested in you for yourself?

Lorenzo: Well, you definitely can continue flirting if you want, hoping that I'll let a name slip. As much as I'm enjoying that, I think I could cut to the chase and just give you the information you need.

Anna: Why would you do a thing like that?

Lorenzo: I will give you the names of the people I work with if you tell me where I can find Skye and my child.

Sam: Okay. I mean, if -- if it'll make you feel better, then yeah, I will go to the Mayor's party with Ric.

Alexis: It won't be so bad. Aside from the boring, social-climbing, overly dressed guests, Mayor Floyd can always be counted on for good food, good music. Ric is an excellent dancer.

Sam: Oh, no. I mean, you can forget dancing. Ric will be working the room assuring everybody that the office will run smoothly until you get back, and me -- I'm going to probably just stand next to the shrimp platter and just let everyone know that you're feeling really good.

Ric: Yeah, but I'll make sure that you don't have too boring of a time.

Alexis: I appreciate that.

Sam: Okay, I -- excuse me.

Ric: Oh, excuse me.

Sam: I better get going.

[Door opens and closes]

Ric: What was that all about?

Alexis: Sam's been spending way too much time at the hospital. She needs to forget about me and put on a nice, fabulous dress and go out and have a nice, fabulous time. You do, too. I really want you to have a good time.

Elizabeth: Sam? How's Alexis?

Sam: Better. Thank you.

Elizabeth: Look I know it's a -- a bad time, but do you know where Jason is? I need to get a hold of him.

Sam: What do you need with Jason?

Elizabeth: I just need to speak with him.

Sam: About what?

Elizabeth: Um -- I know this is awkward that -- that I slept with Jason and you slept with Ric, but --

Sam: Look, sleeping with Ric was one of the biggest mistakes I have ever made in my life and I never want it to happen again. I just -- I don't know. Maybe -- maybe you don't feel the same way about Jason.

Jax: You can't just decide we're not partners anymore.

Carly: You walked away; I didn't. You can't sell anything without me. You gave me power of attorney, remember?

Jax: Which dissolved the moment I stepped back onto U.S. soil. Read the fine print.

Carly: I read the fine print. It says it restores the partnership, which means you can't sell or buy anything without me.

Jax: Which was my point -- we're partners.

Carly: This hotel and the one in Albany are proof that I can make a living and take care of my kids on my own without needing a man in my life to validate me. This hotel turned a profit while you were gone. I would think that somehow, you could respect that.

Jax: I -- of course I respect that.

Carly: Then why are you trying to sell the hotel in Albany? I found the hotel. I put that deal together. I made the commitment. You aren't willing to take the risk in the long run. You want to bow out early.

Jax: Hold on a second. If we're talking about the hotel -- I mean, it's a good time to walk away, yes. But if we're talking about you and me, then --

Carly: There is no "you and me."

Jax: Yes, but there will be.

Anna: We, that's very interesting. Yeah, I have no idea where to find Skye.

Lorenzo: Robert Scorpio helped her disappear.

Anna: I told you, Robert and I -- we try really hard not to speak to each other.

Lorenzo: Well, I don't mean to be rude, but I don't care where you get the information. You tell me where to find Skye, I'll give you the names you need.

Anna: And get yourself killed?

Lorenzo: That is a risk I am willing to accept if it means finding my child.

Anna: I don't blame Skye for keeping her baby away from you. I kept my own daughter away from her father for years.

Lorenzo: And how did her father react when he found her?

Anna: He loved her. We didn't leave her because we wanted to. Our professions got in the way. You know?

Lorenzo: Well, that will never happen with my child.

Lainey: Hi. I was glad to hear from you. How are you feeling?

Alexis: Peachy.

Lainey: Look, post-op depression is very common. And I'm sure we can work through it.

Alexis: We didn't work through the pre-op depression. Don't you think we should try that first? You know, the Sam and Ric sex thing?

Lainey: Alexis, you have not told them that you know they slept together?

Alexis: No.

Lainey: Keeping a secret like that can be more damaging than facing the truth and just dealing with the consequences.

Alexis: Life sucks when you're going to die and those are the only two that can take care of your children.

Lainey: What do you think will happen if you admit the truth?

Alexis: I think my family, such as it is, will implode, and I won't be there to pick up the pieces.

Lainey: Maybe, maybe not.

Alexis: Even if we were able to salvage it, to say that we would coexist uncomfortably would be an understatement. Besides, I've already said things that I can't take back.

Lainey: Alexis, are you blaming yourself?

Alexis: I don't pay enough attention to my husband, and I told my daughter she was pathetic.

Lainey: So you think you pushed your husband and your daughter into having sex?

Alexis: How is that even possible? Maybe. I don't know.

Lainey: Alexis, you know that Ric and Sam are responsible for their own choices.

Alexis: And yet, I deliberately just threw them together. I wonder what's going to happen.

Elizabeth: Jason and I both had a really bad night, and we ended up together. It wasn't planned. We agreed that it would never happen again. But we are really good friends. We have been for a very long time, and I just need to touch base with him. I am not a threat to you, Sam. I'm just trying to get through the day.

Sam: I'm sorry. I -- look, I understand.

Elizabeth: So do you know where he is?

Sam: Um -- no, I -- I don't. I don't know, actually. Jason doesn't check in with me anymore. We've actually -- we've broken up for good.

Elizabeth: Well, when did that happen?

Sam: Right before they took Alexis into surgery. She's afraid that she's not going to survive this. And in the event that she doesn't, I will be caring for Kristina and Molly, and she doesn't think it's safe for Jason to be around.

Elizabeth: So you agreed to let him go?

Sam: Yes, I did. I promised her.

Elizabeth: Oh. Well, that's asking a lot.

Sam: She's really sick.

Elizabeth: I'm sorry to hear that. Well, you know, Jason can be a real rock in situations like this. I'm sure he'd want to help you.

Sam: I'm sorry. I don't know where he is. I wish I could help.

Kelly: Elizabeth, you ready to take that pregnancy test?

Carly: Will you please let this go? Let me buy you out. Really. I mean, you don't care about this hotel and it means everything to me.

Jax: You know you're eyes actually change color when you get mad? I mean, they're this pretty blue-green-turquoise color.

Carly: Please, stop.

Jax: Stop what? Stop being attracted to you?

Carly: Stop using this hotel to get to me. Stop showing up at my door with dinosaurs and toys and cars.

Jax: So you liked the dinosaur?

Carly: Stop using my kids to get to me.

Jax: You know, your kids understand a lot more than you realize.

Carly: My kids have been through enough. And what did you do? You introduced them to their cousin, and that didn't work out so well. And then you vanished. Did you think they weren't going to notice? Would it have killed you to send them a post card?

Jax: I know that I have a lot to make up for.

Carly: Yeah, well, it's a little late for that.

Jax: No, it's not. Besides, I've always appreciated a challenge.

Carly: If you want a challenge, climb Mt. Everest. Go rescue your brother. Or go for a nature walk with your mother, but leave me out of it!

Jax: What -- whoa -- come on, what did we -- I left you, so now you're leaving me?

Carly: This is not a game!

Jax: Is that what you're doing?

Carly: This is not a game! And I don't understand why you don't get that! I don't deal well with being left. And you can blame my mother or blame my adopted father or all the horrible things that I've done in my life, but why don't you blame yourself? Because you're the one that disappeared the minute I thought you were going to stick around!

Jax: Look, I already said that I was sorry.

Carly: Okay, you said --

Jax: And that I was --

Carly: You were sorry! Let's leave it at that, all right?

Jax: Carly -- Carly, wait, wait, please. Would you -- just wait. Just tell me what I can do. Tell me how I can prove that I'm here to stay?

Carly: All right. I'll tell you exactly what you can do.

Anna: You know, it's so funny. People like us -- we deal in secrets and lies. However, we all crave something that is more real, permanent. But that does not give us the right to put our children in danger.

Lorenzo: Does it give us the right to shut them out of our lives?

Anna: I love my daughter. But if we're so determined to live like this, I'm not sure we should even have children in the first place.

Lorenzo: Well, I never expected to have a child with Skye. We had barely begun dating. But I do have to say, the pregnancy gave us hope. And I actually got out of the business for a while.

Anna: So why are you back in?

Lorenzo: Well, that's a long story. But I'm keeping my son out of prison.

Anna: Hmm.

Lorenzo: See, I didn't know Diego until he was fully grown. And I think if I had met him earlier in life, perhaps things would have been different. I want to give my child with Skye a better start than that.

Anna: You'll have to excuse my skepticism, but I find it really difficult to believe that you'll give me those names. You know, you're going to lose your power base, and maybe your life.

Lorenzo: Would you do it for Robin?

Anna: Yeah.

Lorenzo: Yes. If you take out this group, I will be out from under their control and I can get on with my life.

Anna: We both know that's not how it works. There'll be someone else, and someone after that. If it goes wrong, you're dead.

Lorenzo: But if it goes right, I will be a very happy father. Do we have a deal?

[Knock on door]

Maxie: Hey.

Lucky: Hey. What are you doing here?

Maxie: Don't worry, Elizabeth is not going to see us. She's at the hospital. Besides, we're not going to have to worry about that much longer.

Lucky: Wait, wait -- hey, what -- what do you mean?

Maxie: Oh, I found an apartment that we can live in once you leave Elizabeth.

Carly: Do you know what I need from you?

Jax: What?

Carly: No cars, no toys, no business deals.

Jax: Okay.

Carly: I need to know that you're in this for the long haul, and not just when things are going well.

Jax: Okay.

Carly: And I want you to take me seriously.

Jax: I -- I will. I mean, I -- I do. I absolut-- of -- of course.

Carly: Is that why you tried to sell my hotel in Albany? Did you think I wouldn't notice that?

Jax: Well, the whole point was for you to notice.

Carly: I don't want to be another conquest for you -- a convenient date or a good-time girl. I can't -- I can't be that.

Jax: Carly, you're none of those things. You know that.

Carly: No sex.

Jax: Okay.

Carly: I said "no sex."

Jax: Okay. Well, you mean, not ever?

Carly: Not until you prove yourself, and I decide when that might be.

Jax: Fine.

Carly: Okay.

Jax: Well -- so no sex for you? And no sex -- no sex for me with you? No sex at all?

Carly: That's up to you. If you're serious, you won't see anyone else. And if you're serious, you'll keep me interested so I won't.

Jax: Okay. Then I will abstain. Toast?

Carly: What are we toasting to?

Jax: We are toasting to me doing everything within my power to win you back. And we'll abstain until you're ready.

Carly: Okay.

Jax: Okay. I'm sure you won't hold out for too long. Drink to that, come on.

[Jax chuckles]

Alexis: I'm really a very practical person. Ric is Molly's father, and he needs to take care of her. And I don't want the girls to be separated. And I want Sam to remain in the house, and Sonny has already agreed to that.

Lainey: I see.

Alexis: He agreed to that right before I had the surgery. It was a big relief. The prognosis isn't good. You know, the cancer spread.

Lainey: I'm sorry to hear that.

Alexis: I'm not saying that I'm terminal. I just need to make provisions for my children.

Lainey: You've been concerned about that for some time.

Alexis: Because when my mother died, she didn't make any. She had no provisions. So my father hauled me off to be with the woman who slit my mother's throat in front of me, and be raised by her. No matter how vile what I think Sam and Ric did to me was, I would rather have them tend to my children than the monsters that tended to me. I am so angry. But I know that they'll protect my children.

Lainey: I see. Is that why you pushed them together?

Alexis: I encouraged Sam to go to the party with Ric.

Lainey: But, Alexis, what are you doing? Are you encouraging a friendship, or are you setting up an opportunity for Ric and Sam to sleep together again? Because I warn you, if this is a test, you might not like the outcome.

Ric: I thought you were going to work.

Sam: I changed my mind. I can't face work right now.

Ric: It's okay. I covered for you.

Sam: Please don't. Don't do me any favors.

Ric: You know, correct me if I'm wrong. Did -- didn't we agree to try to get along for Alexis' sake?

Sam: What do you think I'm doing, Ric? Why do you think I agreed to go to this party? It's certainly not for the privilege of spending an evening with you. It's all I can do not to let Alexis see how much I hate you.

Ric: Well, that's just your guilt talking, Sam. Look, we were both at a low point that night. We reached out to each other and things happened.

Sam: For starters, let's get one thing straight. Don't you ever think you're going to reach out to me again.

Lucky: It might be too soon to go looking for apartments.

Maxie: I know, but you said once Lulu gets settled, you'll leave Elizabeth. And Lulu's going to have to make a decision soon. Then you'll be free.

Lucky: Well, it might not be that simple.

Maxie: This place just reminds you of your relationship with Elizabeth. And you were never really that happy here, anyway, right? I think we should get our own place so we could start fresh -- if that's still what you want.

Lucky: I need to be sure that Lulu's settled down.

Maxie: I know ending your marriage is going to be difficult, but I think it's the right decision.

Lucky: Once I know Lulu's okay, I'll leave Elizabeth to be with you.

Kelly: Those over-the-counter tests are very accurate. You're pregnant.

Elizabeth: Wow. I didn't expect this.
