Lulu: I want to give you the benefit of the doubt, Dillon. I want to believe that you haven't turned into your grandfather overnight. But thinking that taking me to court and forcing me to have this baby is any kind of reasonable solution is classic Quartermaine.
Dillon: I'm not trying to force you into anything. I just want you to want our baby, okay? And maybe if you would stop fighting me all the time and just let yourself feel what's going on inside of you, you'll realize that you do.
Sonny: It's a bold move -- stealing confidential records from a doctor's office in the middle of a hospital.
Jason: Somebody really wanted them.
Sonny: Now they got me, you know, spilling out my guts about everything that's haunted me. You know what this means, right?
Jason: Somebody knows where you're most vulnerable. They know what buttons to push to make you lose it. My money's on Alcazar.
Sonny: Well, you know, we got a lot of enemies to go around, so let's not jump to conclusions.
Jason: All right, what -- what do you want me to do?
Sonny: Go to the hospital, see if anything jumps out at you.
Jason: And when I find out who took the file?
Sonny: Shut them up permanently.
Carly: I'm not affected by your charm; it doesn't work anymore. So whatever you came here to prove, you can just go, you know?
Jax: Wow. Clearly, you have no idea.
Carly: I can guess. You think I'm going to rebound to Sonny, and you don't want that to happen, not because you want me, but you don't want the competition to win, because that's how you guys are, okay? It's not about how you really feel, it's about your ego, because that's how you men are.
Jax: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Whoa, whoa, whoa -- why are you so angry? Huh? Who -- who are you so angry at, because you shouldn't be this mad at me.
Lainey: You're under enormous strain. We don't want you to implode, so call me if you need to let off steam.
Alexis: I may just have to take you up on that, because at the moment, I'm so scared that I may just snap and tell Sam and Ric that I know they slept together. Uh -- do you have the paperwork?
Sam: Yeah. Um -- just a signature. I'm going to go get some water.
Alexis: Do you think she heard?
Lainey: Would it really be so bad if she had?
Elizabeth: Lucky, what are you doing?
Lucky: I'm waiting for Rodriguez to go out on a case. I was looking out at Wyndemere thinking my brother's got a son out there who I hardly have a connection with at all.
Elizabeth: Nikolas knows that you have enough you're dealing with right now without throwing a baby in the middle of things.
Lucky: In other words, I'm an addict Nikolas can't trust any more than you can trust with Cam?
Elizabeth: Okay, can we not pick a fight right now? Nobody thinks of you as a degenerate junkie.
Lucky: I should've listened to you. It was a mistake to go to Lulu the way I did, but you know what? You know what? I'm -- I'm good now. I'm calm and I'm going to try again if she ever returns my calls.
Elizabeth: Maybe you should just let it be. She needs room to breathe. She knows you love her and you want what's best for her. Let her find you when she's ready.
Lucky: I know. I just need to stay calm and focused.
Elizabeth: And you will.
Lucky: Thank you. Thank you for believing in me.
Elizabeth: Well, you're off the pills. You're getting through withdrawal. That's the important thing.
Elizabeth: Okay -- uh -- I have to get to work. So just keep doing what you're doing and we'll come out on the other side even stronger like we always do.
Jason: When you were in session with Lainey, did you discuss, you know, business?
Sonny: Anything goes in that room, but nothing that could incriminate us legally, so the cops can't use my records. I'm talking about psychological warfare, a way to ensure, you know, nobody has confidence in me. You let my weak spots be known so that way, nobody in the business will take me seriously or trust that I can run the organization again.
Jason: Okay, but from a legal standpoint, you think we're safe?
Sonny: It's just a bunch of yammering in there, you know, about personal relationships, which is a virtual road map to, like, you know, death threats, blackmail, even a hit list. That's exactly why I did not want to get into therapy in the first place, because, you know, my words could come back and bite me. You know what could end up happening, don't you? You could run the business permanently, and, what, I'm left with nothing.
Jason: Sonny, it's not going to come to that.
Sonny: Well, maybe not, but --
Jason: Maybe you are right. Maybe it's -- maybe it's not Alcazar.
Sonny: You got somebody else in mind?
Alexis: Are you seriously suggesting that I confront Sam and Ric about this now?
Lainey: Only you can decide. But you're about to have a major surgery, and carrying a secret of this magnitude could compromise your recovery.
Alexis: I may not recover, Lainey. It may be mid-operation, it could be Christmas, it could be a -- a year from now. In any case, if I say something, all hell is going to break loose in my family and I can't handle that disruption right now, no matter how I feel about Sam and -- and certainly no matter how I feel about Ric.
Sam: Come on, who do you think you're kidding? Sorry -- um -- I wasn't eavesdropping. I mean, I just -- I heard you talking about Ric. I just -- I wanted to let you know that I am -- I am so grateful that my mother has you to confide in. I've tried to be there, but I don't come without my own personal bias, and I wanted to let you know that you are wrong. I think it's wonderful that you care about my welfare and Kristina's and Molly's, but your feelings are what's most important right now, especially when it comes to your husband -- who should be here right now, by the way.
Alexis: I asked Ric to take care of things at the office. He's doing what I -- what I asked him to do. So everything is fine. I know that he's -- he's thinking about me, and I certainly know that he loves me.
Sam: Okay. If you say so.
Lainey: I have an appointment off campus. If you want me to check with you later, just leave a message with my assistant, okay?
Alexis: Thank you.
Sam: I really mean it; Ric should be here.
Alexis: I'm fine.
Robin: How you feeling?
Alexis: I'm a little nervous.
Robin: Well, I would be worried if you weren't. So we're about to take you to your room for pre-op.
Patrick: First, there's a piece of unfinished business. Originally, I was slated to consult while my father performed the surgery. As you know, he's unavailable, so you got me.
Robin: Very good luck-of-the-draw.
Alexis: Your reputation as a surgeon is terrific, so I have no problem with you.
Patrick: You may when you hear what I'm about to tell you. In the course of a recent operation, I was exposed to end-stage AIDS. I tested negative. I'm on a protocol. The chances of you being infected are minuscule, but it is not too late to call in another surgeon if you're uncomfortable. If not, you need to sign this.
Robin: I -- I can attest to Patrick's brilliance. You are in very good hands.
Alexis: I have a -- a question about the -- um -- anesthetic, actually. Am I going to be completely out?
Patrick: Yeah, you'll be out cold.
Alexis: And when I wake up, will I start babbling about things that I don't want anybody to hear?
Sam: Such as?
Alexis: We all have our secrets.
Sam: Come on, what are you going to do? You going to refuse to get put under and grit your way through surgery? Hey, who cares if you babble? I do it all the time, so I don't think you should worry about that. You have to get through the operation and -- and that's it. Okay? So what are you going to do?
Patrick: We're going to remove a lobe of Alexis' left lung, along with several compromised lymph nodes. And I'm not going to lie to you, it's not an uncomplicated procedure, but I'm also not going to give you false hope. Now, I told Alexis she may not survive cancer. But with me as your surgeon, you won't die on the table.
Carly: Just when I thought you couldn't get more arrogant, something like that comes out of your mouth. You're damn right I'm angry with you, and with good reason.
Jax: Oh, come on, your -- your theory about me wanting you back to get one up on Sonny? I mean, it's so ludicrous it doesn't even merit a response. And let's not forget you pursued me, okay --
Jax: Because you wanted to look out for Courtney's son. I mean, I -- I didn't even like you.
Jax: You were the last thing I needed, you know, you -- you and your messy complications? You come blowing into my life, my -- my hotel, my apartment, and you took me places I didn't want to go. But I went, I went anyway, and somewhere along the way I realized I saw the real you, okay, the one that's hiding underneath all that obnoxiousness.
Carly: Hold back on the compliments, you know, my head might swell.
Jax: I fell for you.
Carly: You left me.
Jax: I know and I'm sorry. I really am. I was wrong, okay, and now I'm here and I'm trying to make it up.
Carly: No. It's too little too late. It's just like you to come in here and think that I'm going to be a puddle in your arms --
Jax: No --
Carly: That I'm going to be gushing with gratitude.
Jax: I -- I don't expect that, okay? I -- I heard you loud and clear when you said you weren't going to jump through hoops for me.
Carly: I meant it.
Jax: What if I told you that I'm going to jump through hoops for you?
Lulu: You obviously haven't even thought about me at all. Why would I want to have this baby, Dillon? Because we're so in love, because we're planning a future together? Because I'm 18 and I'm done experiencing all the possibilities of life and I'm ready to turn myself over to the care and feeding of some pooping child that we didn't ever want?
Dillon: I get all the stuff you're saying, Lulu. I --
Lulu: No. You know what? I don't think you do. I don't think you've thought about it beyond what this baby means to you -- and to your family. Let's not forget about them.
Dillon: Say what you will about the Quartermaines, but they stand ready and willing to help us with this child. This kid would grow up with a family, unlike you and me.
Lulu: Oh -- oh. Oh! So let's have a baby to make up for our lousy childhoods. That's a brilliant idea, Dillon. That is such a good reason to have a baby. What about your dreams and your aspirations? All you've ever wanted to do was direct. You know what? I asked you this question, you never answered it, so I'm going to ask you again. Are you going to hand the baby off to Alice and to nannies and to tutors and, God forbid, Edward and Tracy? Is it going to be drooling out of a little snugly hanging on the back of your director's chair? You haven't thought about the downsides, just like you never thought about them when you married Georgie. Speaking of Georgie, what about her, Dillon? Do you think she's really going to give up her dreams to be a second, maybe even a third mother to this child? When do you think that she's going to start resenting you and this baby?
Dillon: Okay, it's -- you know what? It's not a perfect situation, Lulu, but we had sex and you're pregnant, and now we have to deal with it matter what we have to give up.
Lulu: Meaning you'll take me to court and force me to have it?
Dillon: No, because I don't believe you'd push me to that.
Lulu: Don't count on it.
Carly: I've seen your moonlight-and-roses routine. I'm immune to it.
Jax: What if the moonlight was over Paris?
Carly: Oh. Not interested.
Jax: Come on, the jet's fueled. Are you sure?
Carly: We can jet-set all over the world. But we're eventually going to wind up at a real moment where I feel that I can hold out my heart to you and feel safe, and I can't say that because I don't know if I can trust you --
Jax: Carly --
Carly: Or not because you could just leave.
Jax: I know that you're angry, okay, and that you want to punish me. Which is why I'm going to surprise you by taking whatever you have to dish out, okay, because -- look, deep down -- deep down I know that you still want me as much as I want you.
Carly: You need to go home.
Jax: You know, you used to be a much better liar.
Alexis: Do you think that I should sign this?
Sam: I mean, why ask me? It's your surgery.
Alexis: Because ever since you were my daughter, I've been exerting my will into your life, so I want to give you the chance to do that to mine. I trust your judgment.
Robin: Sorry to interrupt. I just need a decision. Do you want Patrick to perform the surgery, or should I find another doctor?
Sam: We're good with Patrick.
Robin: Great. I promise you won't regret it.
Sam: Here you go.
Robin: Thank you.
Alexis: They subject you to the humiliation of being helpless and at the mercy of the medical staff, and then they give you a nightgown with a peek-a-boo back.
Sam: I took care of this.
Sam: I got you a little something.
Alexis: Another present, huh?
Sam: Well, it's just -- um -- it's a robe --
Alexis: That's cute.
Sam: And some pajamas for post-op.
Alexis: You packed the picture?
Sam: I thought you could maybe use the inspiration.
Alexis: It's going to help. Thanks.
Sam: I just -- I wanted to let you know how much this means to me, because I have never had a family before. And -- and now I do, so -- um -- I want you to know that I am never going to take that for granted again. So if you get scared or you need some strength, I want you to look at your daughters and know that all the courage that you need is right --
Alexis: Okay, I ought to put this on and get ready.
Sam: Okay. Um -- I'm going to be out there.
Jason: Hey. Um -- you know what? I kind of need a favor.
Elizabeth: Okay. What can I do for you?
Jason: Well, I'm looking for a place in the hospital, maybe a room with a copy machine, or a copy machine near an exit.
Elizabeth: And I suppose I'm not supposed to ask why?
Jason: All I can tell you is I'm not going to steal anything.
Elizabeth: Um -- first floor, east wing, cafeteria office backs up to the alley on Reed Street.
Jason: How's -- how's everything going?
Elizabeth: It's better.
Elizabeth: And Lucky's finally getting through withdrawal, but it's a delicate balance.
Jason: Yeah. Well, just so you know, I'm not going to tell Lucky anything about the night we spent together.
Jason: Is Alexis in surgery?
Sam: No, she's in her room getting ready.
Sam: Does it show?
Jason: I mean, if there's anything you need, you know, to talk about, I can listen.
Sam: Do you really mean that, because I could use an ear.
Lulu: Is Georgie around?
Elizabeth: No, I haven't seen her. Well, can I help you?
Lulu: That depends on if I'm going to get the lecture on adoption versus abortion.
Elizabeth: You know me, I'm just here to listen.
Lulu: Huh. You have no idea how much I appreciate that.
Edward: You better not be here for an abortion.
Lulu: What, are you -- are you following me?
Edward: No, I'm here for a board meeting. But I will have you followed -- or I'll take any other means necessary to make certain that you carry this baby to term. And if it means getting a court injunction to stop this abortion, so be it.
Lulu: Haven't you Quartermaines done enough? It's your fault that I'm pregnant in the first place. If it wasn't for your stupid defective Enduro condoms, who knows how many women are pregnant by mistake because of you?
[Knock on door]
Alexis: I hope that's not for me.
Jax: Well, who else would it be for?
Alexis: Someone with a green thumb? Oh, for heaven's sake, show that thing some mercy and give it to someone who won't kill it.
Jax: Well, actually, they're quite hardy, according to my mother.
Jax: That's an orchid, you know.
Alexis: I thought orchids were flowers.
Jax: Oh, it'll bloom in a couple of months. There'll be, you know, flowers everywhere.
Alexis: Oh. Well, that'll be just about the time my bathroom floor is filled with my hair.
Jax: Well, then you will have to get creative, won't you? Like, wear a turban or something. Go exotic; throw your husband a curveball.
Alexis: Ooh, that'll be a switch. The point is, is I don't look good without my hair.
Jax: Wrong. You will be happy and smiling because you will be on the road to recovery.
Sonny: Jax is back.
Lainey: Why is that your concern?
Sonny: She's the mother of my children.
Lainey: But you and Carly are divorced.
Sonny: Well, yeah, but, you know, I care about her.
Lainey: Yeah, but that doesn't give you the right to dictate her personal life. I mean, you didn't like it when she tried to interfere with yours.
Sonny: Well, no, but that was different because Emily -- she's, you know, a good sweetheart and she wouldn't hurt a flea. And you got Jax who's like a player and he's a jerk and he's -- you know, there's no -- I mean, he -- if she gets back with him, it's -- I'm sorry.
Lainey: Come on, Sonny.
Sonny: Yeah, you're right. Listen to me. There's -- she's has to know who he is at this point, because he just dumped her and there's no way she'd take him back, so --
Carly: Sonny, I stopped you from doing something crazy, now it's your turn. I need help with Jax.
Alexis: Do you have something else in your little bag, because I can use the distractions, because if I think about the operation, it makes me feel needy and scared.
Jax: It's okay. You know, what's not acceptable is that your husband is never around. Where is that boy?
Alexis: No point in criticizing him. He's filling in for me. He's doing what I asked him to do.
Jax: Yeah, but wouldn't -- wouldn't you rather that he was here, you know?
[Knock on door]
Robin: We need another x-ray before surgery. Hi.
Robin: You're back.
Jax: Yes, I am.
Robin: Well, are you going to stick around for a bit this time?
Jax: Long enough to take her out on the town when she's cancer-free. Absolutely. I will leave you two alone, and we should catch up.
Robin: Sure, give me a call.
Jax: Okay. Bye.
Alexis: He brought me an orchid -- or, it's going to turn into an orchid. Do you know anything about those?
Robin: Just that they are temperamental but resilient. Hmm -- maybe he was trying to tell you something.
Alexis: It means a lot to me how everybody is taking such good care of me. I don't really make it that easy. I'm not the warm and fuzzy type.
Robin: You're more endearing than you think.
Alexis: I was determined to handle this by myself and, obviously, that wasn't a very good idea, certainly not practical.
Robin: Well, the first thing you want to do when you find out you're sick is run and hide. I did that. But I learned that if you are brave enough to accept the support from the people who love you, they can actually make you as strong as you need to be.
Alexis: I'm starting to believe that.
Sonny: Oh, what happened? Candy boy followed you from Africa, he charmed you, and you just melted like butter?
Carly: That shows how well you know me. I told Jax he was a shallow, game-playing egomaniac and I'd rather have a root canal without Novocain than ever be with him again.
Sonny: Did you kiss him?
Sonny: I'm just asking, did you kiss him?
Carly: What does that have to do with anything?
Sonny: Ah -- that means you did. Which means Jax -- his foot is in the door and you're going to fall for him again and --
Carly: I am not going to give in to Jax. That's not going to happen.
Sonny: You used to be a better liar.
Carly: You know what? You're no help at all, and I shouldn't have even come here.
Lulu: "Private family business"? I am pregnant because of E.L.Q.'s negligence.
Edward: It was one bad batch.
Lulu: Condoms. People rely on those to work, and what are you doing about it besides trying to cover the whole thing up?
Edward: That's none of your concern.
Lulu: Fine. I'll let it go if you agree to back off the threat of taking me to court. And if you don't, I'll call a press conference and tell everyone about how Enduro condoms are defective, and anyone who turned up unexpectedly pregnant should sue E.L.Q.
Edward: Now, unlike your father, I believe that you have a conscience. And I suggest that you let that be your guide.
Lulu: Huh. Right, like Edward Quartermaine's going to be scared off because some snot-nosed kid threw out a threat. What am I going to do if the Quartermaines get an injunction?
Elizabeth: Listen to me. I know that you are living in a very scary and confusing world right now. But you've got to block it out, and you've got to decide what you want to do. Find somebody you can trust, somebody who doesn't have an agenda, and talk it through.
Lulu: Okay, well, that rules out Lucky, and I don't want to put you in the middle of it. My life would be so much simpler if these Enduro condoms just had worked.
Patrick: I'm putting together a team for Alexis' surgery. You want to scrub in?
Elizabeth: I can't. Something came up. Something important that I have to check on.
Sam: But I've got to take care of my two little sisters right now. I've got to worry about their needs and their wants and make sure that they have some sort of routine that they can still follow in their lives. And I've been paying attention. I really have. I know that Molly -- she has a certain bedtime. Kristina -- she likes to go to bed a little bit later because she likes to feel like a big sister. Although Kristina -- she still likes to have her bananas peeled, so -- listen to me, Jason. I'm rambling. I sound exactly like Alexis. And I think Alexis and I -- we are -- we're a lot alike in a lot of ways, even though she didn't raise me, which means I'm going to turn out to be a neurotic mess, one way or another.
Jason: I got some business to take care of.
Lulu: Oh, thank God you're back. I need your help.
Carly: You see that button out there? It's a doorbell.
Lulu: No time.
Carly: What's wrong?
Lulu: I'm pregnant!
Carly: Oh, that's huge.
Lulu: Yeah, tell me about it! I feel like the top of my head's going to blow off.
Carly: Oh. I assume Dillon's the father?
Lulu: Oh, of course! And before I get the safe-sex lecture, I will remind you that we used condoms. Just our luck -- they were defective. Watch, there's going to be a population explosion in this city in about eight months. In the meantime, my life is a total train wreck. Dillon's gone back with Georgie, they're more in love than ever, and I'm a complication. And the Quartermaines want this baby so badly that they're threatening me with a court order to have it so that they can raise it. And then there's Lucky screaming at me about killing a baby, and Dillon is going on and on about being a father, and he's not ready to be one, any more than I am, and I just need one person on my side!
Carly: You know, you had me at "I'm pregnant." Hey, come here. Now, look at me. What can I do for you?
Lulu: I need you to tell me if I should have an abortion or not.
Elizabeth: Hi. I'm Elizabeth Spencer.
Bernie: You're Elizabeth Spencer -- yeah, I know. We met. Uh-huh.
Elizabeth: Oh, you remember me?
Bernie: Yeah, I never forget a face. Jason isn't here, though.
Elizabeth: I know. I just saw him at the hospital.
Bernie: Uh-huh. So, what can I do for you?
Elizabeth: Well, I was here a couple days ago, and I left something.
Bernie: Oh. Well, okay. Tell me where it is and I'll find it for you.
Elizabeth: Well, the thing is I don't really know where it is, so I'd just like to come in and look around.
Bernie: Yeah, I'm just leaving, but okay, come in. I'll wait 'til you're done.
Elizabeth: That's okay. You don't have to wait for me.
Bernie: Well, I can't let you wander around at will. You know, you're married to a cop.
Elizabeth: I'm Jason's friend. I'm sure he would be okay with this. We could call him and risk interrupting something important and making him angry. He trusts me. I would have thought you would have picked up on that by now.
Bernie: I hope this doesn't come back to haunt me.
Sonny: You got the file?
Jason: Right there.
Sonny: What -- what's this?
Jason: It was -- it was in a dumpster in the alley behind General Hospital.
Sonny: Okay, then -- this means they made copies.
Jason: Well, there was a copy machine nearby. It was right -- it was right by the exit. We could probably pull prints off this.
Jason: Okay? Stan could, but it's not going to be the same person who copied it that stole it.
Alexis: Okay. You know where to put that.
Sam: Oh, no. No, no -- what are you doing? My mother's going to have surgery within an hour.
Alexis: Don't take on poor Cruz. He's just doing his job.
Sam: Well, he can do his job someplace else, sometime else. Say goodbye, detective.
Det. Rodriguez: "Goodbye, detective."
Sam: Come on.
Alexis: Boy, and they accuse me of being bossy.
Sam: Hey, you -- you are going to be down for the count. I am more than capable of handling anything you need me to handle right now. Just --
Alexis: In case something goes wrong --
Sam: It won't. It won't.
Alexis: In case something goes wrong, I want to say one last thing.
Carly: Some advice for morning sickness -- eat saltines. If you feel like snacking, you should snack.
Carly: As far as abortion goes, that's your decision.
Lulu: Hmm. You and Georgie seem to get that. Although, Georgie isn't exactly neutral. She has a lot to gain if I don't have this baby.
Carly: How do you feel?
Lulu: I don't want to be anybody's mother. And I don't want to carry around a baby for nine months just to hand it off to somebody else. I mean, I know it sounds selfish, but what about me? I didn't get pregnant on purpose. I tried not to. At least, I know you're as selfish as I am.
Carly: Oh. Thanks.
Lulu: So what would you do?
Carly: Probably not what you'd expect. When I found out that Bobbie gave me up for adoption, I was furious. And it took years for me to get past that -- years of acting out, years of getting revenge, years of being self-destructive. And then one day I realized Bobbie could've had an abortion. It certainly would've been a lot easier. But she didn't, and I'm alive and I'm kind of happy about that. I've had two children, Lulu. I don't think I could ever terminate a pregnancy, but that's me. You need to decide what you want to do.
Edward: Well, Lulu is her father's daughter after all. She's threatening to go public with this whole Enduro debacle if we force her into having the child.
Dillon: Wait, so -- we're backing down?
Edward: Good boy. You said "we."
Edward: Hey, you're learning. Lesson number two -- we never back down. We'll find someone to take the fall at E.L.Q., and in the meantime, if every young woman in upstate New York turns up pregnant and files a lawsuit against us, your child will be born.
Maxie: What's up?
Lucky: I -- I haven't been able to get in touch with Lulu.
Maxie: What does that have to do with me?
Lucky: I need more pills.
Lucky: You're the only one that I can trust to get them for me.
Maxie: And what if I get caught? My dad is the police commissioner, for God's sake.
Lucky: Okay, okay, I know, but if you try --
Maxie: It would be different if I was putting myself on the line for someone who gave a damn about me. But you're just using me.
Lucky: No -- that's not true.
Maxie: Then I think you should find a way to prove it to me.
Lucky: Listen, I -- I can't.
Maxie: Then you can get your pills somewhere else.
Lucky: All right -- okay, okay, okay.
Maxie: "Okay" what?
Lucky: Okay, if you can get me pills now, once Lulu gets straightened out, I'll leave Elizabeth for you.
Sonny: Anybody see you?
Jason: Uh -- Elizabeth and Sam.
Sonny: How's she holding up?
Jason: She's -- she's a wreck.
Sonny: Maybe you can help.
Jason: I tried to help Sam.
Jason: Well, I listen to her when she needs to talk about Alexis. I actually took, you know, her and Kristina out on the boat.
Sonny: That's nice. This time last year, you were dying and you refused to get that surgery that was going to save your life. Sam got you to do it. I owe her for that. And I know that you -- you know, she slept with Ric and it's disturbing, it's betrayal, and you feel like punching a wall when you think about it, but it was just one night compared to two years compared to saving your life. It's great to talk to Sam, Jason. But for her, you just need to let go of your anger.
Jason: All right, you know what, Sonny? I can't.
Sonny: You have pictures in your house, right?
Jason: Yeah. What does -- yeah, why?
Sonny: Yeah, I saw the pictures that are for -- you know, they're on frames and the whole thing. When I first met you, you couldn't even look at pictures. You couldn't even --
Jason: Well, I can look -- I can look at photographs now.
Sonny: So you changed.
Jason: I'm not -- I'm not mad at Sam because I got something wrong with my brain. I'm mad because she slept with Ric! Ric is a -- is a sick, twisted piece of trash. He did what he did to Carly, he messed with your head during your breakdown. I hate him, okay? I hate him, she knows it, she slept with him anyway, and you're right. It -- it dis-- disgusts me! And I am trying, okay? I'm trying not to let Sam see that. I don't want her to hurt any more than she already is.
Sonny: You don't think she hurts to see you shut down?
Jason: Well, it's -- you know what? It's better than this -- screaming, destroying everything in the house. Yeah, yeah, you know, I pushed her away. Technically, we weren't together anymore. Do I have -- do I have the right to be angry?
Sonny: But you are. Look at you. You got to get over it.
Jason: I -- I can't.
Sonny: You can't because you haven't learned how. You ever watch Michael and Morgan? Morgan is -- is pure. He's got anger, he's sad, but he -- he feels, you know, intensely. Now, Michael -- he's learned how to -- how to edit. He gets angry, he gets sad, but you know what? He has words to control what he's feeling. That's what adults do. They control what they're feeling. You -- you get get angry and you just shut down like a kid running into -- into his room slams the door because he doesn't want to see what upset him. What I'm saying, Jason, is Sam needs you, and you are failing her--
Sonny: Because you haven't learned how to forgive.
Jason: I don't -- I don't know how to forgive.
Sonny: You know what? You're just going to have to -- have to learn. And I'm not talking about just for Sam but for you, you know? The world isn't black and white. It -- you're not a kid anymore. We all make mistakes -- adults. And we just got to get over it.
Alexis: I saw you and Jason earlier. It's very clear how much you both love each other.
Sam: Hey, don't worry about me right now, please. Just focus on yourself.
Alexis: That's what I'm doing. You're a part of me. You and Molly and Kristina are all a part of me. And I want all of you to live a long and healthy and a happy life together, whether I'm here or not. I know it's not fair for me to ask, and I know how difficult it is for everyone involved, but I want you to promise me that you won't get back together with Jason, that even if he asks, you'll refuse.
>> Next week on "General Hospital" <<
Lulu: Can't you just tell me what I should do?
Carly: Sounds like you already know what you want.
Dillon: Lulu, I really want this baby.
Sam: I don't know why I would have to give up Jason.
