General Hospital Transcript Thursday 8/31/06
Proofread by Amelia
Sam: Hey. What are you doing?
Alexis: I'm making a list for Viola for when I go into the hospital.
Sam: Okay, well, I -- I went to the grocery store. Look, I -- Ric, I -- I didn't see his car out there.
Alexis: He is at work.
Sam: Okay, well, I thought he was going to take you to the hospital.
Alexis: Uh, well, you're here, so I'm hoping maybe you can take me.
Sam: Yeah. Yeah, of course. I -- sure. I just -- I really thought that maybe you would want Ric to take you.
Alexis: Well, you know, if it's all right with you, I prefer that you do it.
Jax: I got your text.
Alexis: What are you doing here?
Jax: Well --
Alexis: Oh! I'm so happy to see you.
Jax: I just landed. I got a text from Sam saying that you weren't doing well. Is everything okay? How can I help?
Jason: Uh, when -- when did you get back from Africa?
Carly: About two hours ago. 10 hours before that, Jax broke my heart.
Sonny: Alcazar's dropped out of sight. I want you to find out what he's been up to. No, listen, Stan, you just got to -- he could have some damaging information. Did you find out who broke into your office?
Lainey: No, nothing. File is just gone and I feel -- I feel terrible.
Sonny: It's not you fault, but it's just proof that I can't confide in anyone, not even a professional.
Lainey: If you're about to tell me that you're going to quit therapy, I --
Sonny: I don't have a choice, Lainey.
Lainey: Sonny, if you quit therapy, you will risk everything.
Tracy: There you are. I knocked on your door this morning.
Lulu: The Willoughby's dog got into the garden again, all over Lila's roses.
Tracy: Heightened emotions in pregnancy.
Lulu: If this is leading to another lecture on how I messed up my life and what you think I should do about it, I'll pass.
Tracy: I'm just trying to help.
Lulu: You have no idea what I'm going through.
Tracy: What about my three pregnancies?
Lulu: What three?
Tracy: Ned, Dillon, and the one I aborted.
Tracy: I was very young when I had Ned. When my marriage to his father, Lord Ashton, fell apart, I left them both. I ran off to Europe where I met the next man that I was convinced I was going to spend the rest of my life with. He was Italian and a big playboy and an even bigger mistake. So there I was having failed miserably at yet another relationship and pregnant again. The last thing I wanted was another baby on top of the child that I already had and was not prepared to take care of. I had an abortion.
Lulu: So you know exactly what I'm going --
Tracy: I was really, really comfortable with my decision. I knew exactly why I was doing it. I could get it taken care of quickly and safely and move on with my life.
Lulu: Does Dillon know?
Tracy: Nobody knows, Lulu. I have never told anybody ever. Okay, so, after a while, I started to think about it. I started to think about the child I didn't have, and every time I saw a child of a certain age, I'd wonder -- usually little girls. I'd wonder if -- if that was my only opportunity to have a daughter, how she would've turned out. Would she be like me or would she be more like her father? I even dreamt about her.
Lulu: Wow. That's really intense. It might even touch my heart if I believed a single word that you said. I know that this is another manipulation for you to get what you want, for you to convince me to continue with this pregnancy. Just admit it -- you made the whole thing up.
Tracy: I wish I had. Lulu, I don't want you to regret your decision when it's too late to do anything about it.
Alexis: I didn't know that you got in touch with Jax.
Sam: Yeah, I know how close you two are and I figured Jax would want to know that his best friend wasn't feeling well.
Jax: Well, she's right.
Alexis: Can I get you something?
Sam: You know, I -- I've got a ton of things to do before we take you to the hospital, so I'm going to go do them.
Jax: Hospital? How -- how serious is this?
Alexis: Well, I'm going to fill you in, but can I just say something? I didn't think this was possible, but you actually got better-looking.
Jax: Come on. Why are you -- why are you avoiding?
Alexis: I'm just so happy to see you and I -- I can't believe that you flew back here.
Jax: Oh. You know I'd do anything for you. But to be completely honest, I didn't come here specifically for you. I was tracking down Carly.
Carly: What was I thinking, falling all over Jax? I mean, when he left town, I was proactive, you know? I had Patrick Drake as a distraction, all that time and energy spent taking care of Sonny, and every week, I kept thinking, "This is the day that I stop thinking about Jax," and that didn't happen and I'm still crazy about him.
Jason: Okay, just --
Jason: Tell me what happened when you got to Africa. That's --
Carly: Oh, you know. All fun and games for Jax, five points for showing up, a couple of extra points for bringing the boys. At least Michael and Morgan got to see the pyramids. Then hooray, I passed Jax's test. I proved to him that I still thought about him, that I still cared about him, like he couldn't tell that when I asked him not to leave. What is it about you?
Jason: Me? What --
Carly: I mean, what is it about guys that like to make the women they say they care about grovel at their feet?
Jason: Okay, don't blame me. I am not Jax.
Carly: Well, where's Sam? Because when I left here, you were going to go tell her that you were wrong and you needed her back in your life. I can look around and tell that she's not here. Where is she?
Jason: Leave it alone! Sam and I are over.
Sonny: I'm taking the lithium like you prescribed and, you know, I'm -- it just stopped me from having another breakdown, so I'll be -- I'll be good if I don't have another breakdown.
Lainey: But we haven't begun to deal with your real issues, the things that trigger your rage and your fear and your pain. That's where the real work is.
Sonny: I -- okay. I have talked too much already and it's in the hands of a potential enemy.
Lainey: You don't know that for sure.
Sonny: Okay. Do you have an explanation? Can't continue the therapy. I'm sorry.
Lainey: Having your records stolen is horrible.
Lainey: It's a violation.
Lainey: But if you stop therapy, you only hurt yourself. Look, Sonny, if you can't trust me, go see another therapist.
Sonny: It's not about that. You know? I'm not going -- I'm not going to start a process talking to another therapist, a stranger. I trust you. But I can't think like somebody can just break into your office and steal my -- my private thoughts. It makes me vulnerable.
Lainey: Then I'll make house calls. I will continue seeing you right here in your home, where you feel safe.
Lulu: If everything you just told me was true, if you had an abortion and you live to regret it, then I'm sorry. I really am. I never thought that it would be an easy thing to do, but you made a choice based on what was right for you at the time. You made a choice about your life, about your future, and about your body. Shouldn't I have that same right?
Tracy: I want you to make an informed decision.
Lulu: If someone had made this speech to you when you were facing an unwanted pregnancy, would you have changed your mind?
Tracy: I can't answer that. I never discussed it with anybody, and I certainly hope that you're not going to, either.
Lulu: My lips are sealed, okay? I know that this is no one else's business, Tracy. I wish that a few less people knew about mine. But why are you telling me this?
Tracy: To help you.
Lulu: If this is another "I see you in myself" moment, I don't buy it. I know that we're nothing alike and I know that you're just working me so that I'll have this baby.
Tracy: Do I strike you as someone who likes being called "Granny"? Have you ever seen me touch a baby, change a diaper, or make a batch of chocolate chip cookies? What I am is very protective of Dillon, and therein lies my dilemma. If my son becomes a father at this very young age, it will quite likely ruin the rest of his life, and then there's my father, always in search of the next Quartermaine heir. Poor, deluded man still believes that next year's model will be the perfect one, better than the lemons he's already got. And he will probably bypass all the rest of us and endow your baby with the family fortune. All of that means that for me to convince you to give birth to this baby comes at great personal expense to me.
Lulu: Then why don't you just save yourself the trouble and stay out of it?
Tracy: Because you got pregnant by my son on my watch. Enough mistakes have been made. I cannot stand idly by and watch you make another one.
Carly: I don't understand, Jason. Before I left, we talked and you realized it was pointless for you and Sam to be apart.
Jason: Doesn't matter anymore.
Carly: Did you or did you not drive over there and tell Sam that you wanted to be with her and that you loved her?
Jason: Other stuff happened.
Carly: Like what?
Jason: I -- I really don't want to talk about it.
Carly: What did Sam do to you?
Jason: Sam and I won't be getting back together. Just, you know, forget about it and move on.
Alexis: It's been a long time since I got to lecture you about Carly.
Jax: Oh, come on. It's easy for you to talk. You're happily married.
Alexis: Maybe you should consider reconnecting with Sam.
Jax: Well, I -- I don't think that would work, but thanks for the suggestion.
Alexis: Hmm. I guess it really doesn't matter who does what with whom in the end.
Jax: What do you mean, "in the end"? How sick are you?
Alexis: I have lung cancer.
Alexis: I'm sorry.
Jax: No, no, no, no, no. Don't -- don't say -- come here. Don't say you're sorry.
Alexis: Oh. I missed you.
Jax: What can I do?
Jax: I mean, you have to beat this -- right? You have to fight.
Alexis: I need you to keep telling me that.
[Gentle piano music]
Lulu: The biggest mistake that I could make would be to have a child that is not wanted.
Tracy: Daddy certainly wants it.
Lulu: Oh. Well, when he's ready to carry it around for nine months and he can take care of it for the rest of his life, then he gets a say. But with all due respect, Mr. Quartermaine is a very old man and he is in no position to be making any decisions about anybody's baby.
Tracy: Okay, Lulu. Now you have to tell me what this is really about.
Lulu: It's about exactly what I've been saying -- one unwanted child per family is enough.
Tracy: Just because your father is absentee does not make you unwanted.
Lulu: Have you noticed how much older my brothers are than me? I'm the definition of "oops." I am Lulu the afterthought. I am the one that someone -- Grandma Lesley, Aunt Bobbie, even you -- has to worry about taking care of.
Tracy: Sorry. I have no sympathy for somebody who can make a list of all the people that care about her. As for your father -- well, there are many things I mistrust about Luke Spencer. One of them is not how much he loves you.
Lulu: Oh, okay, fine. Great, he's the father of the year. He worships the ground that I walk on and the fact that he is conveniently out of town almost, oh, all the time is just his way of showing me affection. You know what? I'm actually relieved that he's not here right now because if he was, it would be another person getting in my face and telling me what to do.
Lainey: Well, I appreciate your warnings. I will make sure I'm careful crossing the streets and getting into my car.
Sonny: I'm just saying don't take it so lightly.
Lainey: I don't. But I've made up my mind -- I'll be here at your regular time to treat you. And as insurance against your records being stolen, I will leave them here under one condition.
Lainey: You can't look at them.
Sonny: That's ridiculous. It's my house.
Lainey: Yeah, but they're from my perspective. Don't make me put them in a lock box.
Sonny: Oh. That's going to -- that's going to stop me.
Lainey: Sonny, do you or don't you want treatment?
Sonny: You give me one reason why I should.
Lainey: Oh, because it would help you sustain a healthy and a lasting relationship that would --
Carly: I'm back from Africa. I need Michael's laptop and I don't want to hear "I told you so" about Jax.
Alexis: Thanks for being here.
Jax: So you're going to the hospital today?
Alexis: They're going to take out the left lower lobe of my lung.
Jax: Well, where's Ric? Shouldn't he be glued to your side?
Alexis: You know that we don't have a traditional relationship.
Jax: You're about to go under the knife and your husband is missing in action?
Alexis: He's at the office. He's filling in as interim D.A. and that way, I know that everything will be taken care of at the office, so then when I walk right in, I won't have anything to worry about. See, that's positive thinking.
Jax: Oh, come on, Ric's your husband. He should be focused, you know, on you. Who cares about the work thing? This is more important. This is -- this is far more important.
Alexis: He'll be at the hospital later. In the meantime, I have my perfect ex-husband here who's making me so happy that I'm even starting to forget that I'm afraid.
Jax: You remember when we crashed the helicopter in the desert and we thought we were going to die?
Alexis: Hmm. The good old days.
Jax: You remember how positive you were? You made up your mind that we were going to survive, and that's exactly what you have to do now.
Alexis: I'm a big believer in positive thinking, I really am. It's just that only takes you so far.
Jax: No, no, no no, no, no. It takes you all the way. A true believer decides to win and wins.
Alexis: Maybe it's a male-female thing -- yin-yang?
Jax: I don't -- I don't care what it is. I want you to repeat after me. "I can beat this thing."
Alexis: I get the picture.
Jax: No, no, no, no, no. No, I'm not kidding. I'm not kidding.
Alexis: I --
Jax: I want you to repeat it after me. I want you to repeat -- "I can beat this thing."
Alexis: I can beat this thing. I want to beat this thing. I want to live. But I still have to prepare my family and my children for the worst.
Nikolas: Hey, we're here. We just wanted to stop -- stop by.
Sam: I'm fine. It's just Alexis.
Jason: Is it bad news? Is --
Sam: No. Alexis is having her surgery today, so I thought I would make myself busy so I wouldn't obsess on it, so I went to Wyndham's to buy her a present and I was standing there at the jewelry counter. And I realized I couldn't see because I had been crying so hard. I mean, you should've seen the way the salesgirl was looking at me.
Jason: You can't stop how you feel.
Sam: No, Jason, I just -- I was trying to make things easier for her, but she doesn't even have her husband around when she needs him because Ric is staying away from Alexis because -- because of me, and you can't stand to hear the sound of his name.
Georgie: In a perfect world, what would you want?
Dillon: For you and me to have the chance we deserve.
Georgie: Okay. What if in this perfect world, Lulu was still pregnant? Would you want to raise the baby with her or me? Or would you rather there wasn't a baby at all?
Dillon: Georgie, are you asking me if I would support Lulu in having an abortion? Is that what you're asking?
Georgie: I'm asking you to put aside your family pressure right now and just tell me what you want.
Dillon: Okay. All right. Huh. When I -- when I think of my life without a child, I can -- I can picture it. I can see it so clearly. It's no problem. But then -- then I try to see me with Lulu and -- and this baby, and it's -- it's just not in focus. I can't do it. So I don't -- I don't know. I mean, what do you -- what do you think Lulu should do?
Georgie: No, I -- I can't answer that. I -- I can't even pretend to be objective here, Dillon.
Dillon: Okay. All right, what if it was you and me?
Georgie: You mean if I were pregnant? I would isolate myself from all the hypocrites, all the people that told us that we were way too young to be married, that we would -- we would ruin our lives by doing it. And by the way, they weren't wrong.
Dillon: I know. Well, yes, but I just want to say before you go on -- you and I were working on solving that before fate threw us a curveball.
Georgie: I guarantee, if it were me that were pregnant, they would be singing an entirely different tune. They would say that this is great. That this is so exciting. You'll get used to the idea. A new baby. Do you see that? Dillon, no wonder Lulu wants to scream and you want to camp out in a hospital.
Dillon: Yeah. I don't know how I'm going to make this up to you. I mean, you've been so amazing.
Georgie: I'm just so glad that it's not me making this decision. Having a baby before I'm ready, or not having a baby? I'm continuing my life, pursuing my career and my dreams without the responsibility of another life. If I were Lulu, I wouldn't have any clue what to do.
Edward: So have you spoken to Lulu today?
Tracy: I have.
Edward: Have you let her know that she is to have this child, and that's the end of the discussion?
Tracy: Actually, Lulu is determined to at least consider the option of terminating her pregnancy.
Edward: Oh, God, that child has everything she could possibly want. She can have financial and emotional support during the pregnancy, and childcare after the baby's born. And if she doesn't want to raise the child, she doesn't have to. You know, to have an abortion under these circumstances is, to me, the ultimate of selfishness. No, no, no -- worse, it's unconscionable.
Tracy: What Lulu needs is her father.
Edward: Oh, please. That overgrown juvenile delinquent that you married -- well, he wouldn't be of any help. Luke doesn't even notice his own children. He would certainly encourage Lulu to abort.
Tracy: Luke loves his daughter.
Edward: Oh. It's moot, Tracy. He isn't even here.
Tracy: But he should be. And I don't even care what Luke says to Lulu. That girl needs her father, and guess what -- I'm going to find him.
Jason: If there's anything I can, you know, do for you, you can just ask.
Sam: You've done enough. Just stopping like this and making sure everything is okay -- that's nice. This isn't easy, Jason. I know that.
Jason: Just let me know if you need anything.
Carly: Okay. I've got it. Thank you so much, and I'll see you later.
Sonny: Wait, wait, wait, wait -- what's your hurry?
Carly: Oh --
Sonny: Have a seat.
Carly: I -- you know, I'm jet-lagged, I got to get home to the boys --
Carly: I can come by tomorrow. Morgan drew you a picture of the Nile. It's blue. You'll love it.
Sonny: Yeah, yeah, sit down. Okay. Sit down. Sit down. You know what? You go halfway across the world to find Jax. You take our kids. I just -- I just want to know what happened?
Carly: It was fine. Okay, not fine. Jax played mind games with me. It was a big ego boost for Jax. It's over. I'm done.
Sonny: He wasn't happy to see you?
Carly: Yes, he was happy to see me, but I'm not begging for another man. I did enough of that with you. So I'll see you later.
Sonny: Jax doesn't deserve you. Okay? He's about an inch deep, a mile wide. You got courage, you got fire. Doesn't see it. Jax doesn't see it.
Carly: Are you complimenting me, or are you slamming Jax?
Sonny: No, I mean it. You know, he -- look, he doesn't see what's going on here. He is shallow. And he's just -- you know, he's just Jax. Forget payback. Move on, look for somebody better.
Carly: Thank you for the pep talk. And I don't want to talk about him anymore.
Carly: I don't want to waste another minute thinking about Jax.
Alexis: I'm really glad you came, because one look at this boy is what the doctor ordered. Hmm? Hey. You guys are going to be sweet to each other, aren't you? For me?
Nikolas: I don't see anything wrong with being surrounded by love right now. So I'm actually grateful that you can be here, Jax.
Jax: We're just discussing ways for Alexis to beat this thing.
Nikolas: Yeah. She will. Because she has to, right?
Jax: Um -- I'll just -- I'll leave you two to visit.
Nikolas: No, you -- you really don't have to leave.
Jax: No, I -- I really should. I'll -- I'll come to the hospital later, okay? I want to see you.
Nikolas: Listen, before you -- before you leave -- if you want to --
Jax: John looks good. I'm -- I'm sorry, it's "Spencer" now, right?
Nikolas: Right, right. I wanted to honor my brother and sister. I didn't -- I didn't do it to disrespect your father in any way.
Jax: No, of course not. No, it's a -- it's a name your son should be proud of. So he's doing well?
Nikolas: Yeah, yeah. Just an earache here and there. We're just -- we're still getting to know each other.
Jax: Well --
Nikolas: Look, you can hold him if you want.
Jax: No, that's okay. I don't want to confuse him any more than I already have, you know. What I did was wrong, and --
Jax: You know, I should never have tried to be the boy's father.
Nikolas: Well, in the end, you told the truth, didn't you? And I'm -- I'm beginning to at least understand how difficult it must have been for you to give Spencer up, and, in a way, I respect that.
Jax: Thank you. Means a lot. I really appreciate that. And I'm glad that you and your son are doing well.
Nikolas: Thank you.
Jax: Okay. And you -- you stay positive, okay? And if -- if I don't see you before the surgery, I'll definitely be there after it.
Alexis: You swear?
Jax: I promise.
Jax: Okay. Bye.
Alexis: Thank you for doing that.
Nikolas: You're welcome.
Alexis: I know that was difficult for you, but it meant a lot to him.
Nikolas: Oh -- and I meant every word of it, even the part where I said I was grateful that Jax is here. Listen, whatever makes this easier for you, Alexis, it works for me, okay? But what I want to know is, where's the rest of the family? Ric, Sam -- where are they?
Sonny: Sit down for a second, will you? I've got something to discuss with you.
Carly: Is everything okay? Is that why Lainey was here?
Sonny: No, it's not me. Alexis has lung cancer.
Carly: Oh, my gosh. Oh. Her poor little girls --
Carly: Is there anything I can do?
Sonny: Hmm -- not right now, but I may need you down the line, if something happens to her.
Carly: She must be terrified.
Sonny: No, Alexis is making wrong choices right now.
Sonny: She wants -- she wants Ric to raise Kristina.
Sonny: Well, because she wants Molly and Kristina to grow up together. I -- I haven't told her yet, but I'm not allowing that.
Carly: I don't blame you. Ric can't be trusted with a hamster, much less your daughter.
Sonny: You know, Ric used to always say that all he cared about was a family. He gets one, and what does he do? He throws it all away to get back at Jason. He just lost all his perspective. I don't understand that guy.
Carly: He never had perspective. He resorted to kidnapping and eight other felonies just to prove something to you.
Sonny: Well, he's not stopping now, is he?
Carly: You know, I thought once he had Molly, that he would get over this. But then he pulled that whole thing when you were sick, with Emily and Lily's memory. I'm so glad that Jason busted him wide open.
Sonny: Well, that's where Ric gets his drive from -- to punish Jason.
Carly: He can't punish Jason. Jason's smarter than that. Okay, what's that look?
Carly: No. Don't tell me "nothing." You now just said that Ric would risk losing his family, and Jason's a wreck over Sam. What's been going on?
Sonny: Okay, look, you already hate Ric enough. Just leave it alone. Leave it alone.
Carly: I'm not going to leave it alone. Jason was ready to reconcile with Sam. Then he changes his mind, and you and I both know that nothing can change Jason's mind when he wants to do something. And he loves Sam, so what happened?
Sonny: Leave it alone.
Carly: Okay, I told Jason that Sam was on the verge of doing something crazy.
Carly: And this wouldn't be the first time that Ric takes advantage of a woman in turmoil. Remember that time he drugged me and he made me think --
Sonny: I'm asking you to just drop it, please.
Carly: Oh, my God!
Sonny: What do you mean, "Oh, my God"?
Carly: That slimeball and his stepdaughter?
Sonny: I asked you to -- not -- no -- we're not -- what? Listen to me. Hey, you know what? You said it, I didn't say it. It was a mutual thing --
Carly: I can't believe it. It was not mutual. Ric hit on her. This is just his style. No wonder why Jason's a wreck, Sonny.
Sonny: Okay, you've got to keep this to yourself, Carly. Because Alexis is fighting for her life. Last thing she needs to hear is that her husband slept with her daughter.
Alexis: I like the fact that they have each other.
Alexis: Other people to care about them. I would hate the thought of them growing up alone and isolated, like we did.
Nikolas: They'll never be alone, Alexis, I promise you that.
Alexis: Thank you.
Nikolas: I'm just -- I'm fighting every instinct I have not to just take over right now. I know it's not my place.
Alexis: Ric isn't here, all right? He's not going to be here at the moment because he's at work, but he'll come to the hospital when I'm --
Nikolas: I -- I don't care if he's at work. He should be here, all right?
Alexis: I don't want to talk about Ric.
Alexis: Oh. I'm sorry I snapped at you. I'm sorry.
Nikolas: It's all right.
Alexis: I have to get going.
Sam: I bought this. I -- I don't know -- I -- I thought it might make your stay in the hospital a little bit better.
Alexis: Thank you.
Alexis: That's beautiful. Thank you.
Sam: I thought I'd take a picture of -- of you and the girls, and you could put it by your bedside.
Alexis: Thanks. All my girls. Come here.
Nikolas: Oh, I'll take -- okay. Sorry.
Sam: Come on, Kristina. Come on. Sit on Mommy's lap.
Kristina: Do you want to bring the baby?
Alexis: Love you.
Sam: Put the baby over there.
Alexis: Okay, sweet pea.
Nikolas: Okay? One, two -- three. Perfect.
Edward: Oh, hello, Lesley Lu. Ah -- don't run away. I've been -- I've been waiting to see you.
Lulu: Well, I was -- I was looking for Alice.
Edward: Oh, she'll be along before long. You -- you want to sit down?
Lulu: No, I can't. I can't stay long.
Edward: No, of course not, but you have to take care of yourself, you know. Get plenty of rest, and -- and eat properly, especially now that --
Lulu: Okay, you know, I -- I don't want to talk about this, sir. Really, I don't.
Edward: I know. But I just want to tell you that I like you very much. You are very resourceful, and you have a -- a real spirit -- much like your mother's. You know, Laura was -- was a great friend of mine. She was beautiful and -- and courageous. Well, anyway, I -- I like having you here in my home, especially since you no longer take your late-night joy rides in my Bentley. The point is I know that you are 18 now. And legally, you're an adult. But in many ways, you're a child. And while I am -- I'm guilty of many things, I do not bully children.
Lulu: I sense a "but."
Edward: But --
Edward: You are carrying a Quartermaine. Come on, over here. And I know that you are -- are -- you are frightened and you are very nervous about it, and I understand it. And it's also understandable that you might be considering ending this pregnancy as a solution. But I can't allow it.
Lulu: I'm sorry, Mr. Quartermaine, this is not your decision.
Edward: No, but it might be the judge's. We'll take you to court if we must.
Lulu: You can't be serious. Dillon would never let you do that to me.
Edward: Oh, Dillon knows all about it. You seem to forget that Dillon is the father of your child. And as such, he has certain paternal rights, including pursuing an injunction which would grant him protective custody of your unborn child.
Lulu: Huh. That's not fair.
Edward: Oh, I know. I hate the whole idea of it. So why don't you make it easy on yourself, and let us take care of you, and your child, hmm?
Carly: You're here.
Jax: I am.
Carly: Well, I don't know why you bothered. I already decided if I never saw you again, it would be too soon.
Jax: Really? Oh.
Jax: Because, you know, judging by the look on your face, you -- you're happy to see me.
Carly: I see you didn't leave your ego in Africa.
Jax: Look, I know that you're angry. I understand that. You're probably going to want to punish me for the mistakes that I've made. But you're also happy that I came home to you, right?
Carly: Is that what you did?
Carly: You came home to me?
Jax: Yeah. I'm just sorry that it took me so long.
Sonny: Someone broke into my shrink's office, stole her tapes and all her notes on my therapy sessions.
Jason: What, just yours?
Sonny: They knew exactly what they were looking for.
Jason: What kind of information is on the tapes?
Sonny: Personal, compromising let's just say this -- in the wrong hands, they can bury me.
