Elizabeth: Oh, so you say you're sorry, but are you willing to follow through?

Patrick: Well, I'll take you to dinner; I'll buy you flowers. I'll -- I'll treat you to --

Elizabeth: God, what is the matter with you? You can't stop these stupid lines to save your life.

Patrick: Well, okay, admit it -- you would be disappointed if I gave up on you.

Elizabeth: Oh, don't hold your breath.

[Elizabeth and Patrick laugh]

Sam: So, does that mean you forgive me?

Alexis: There's nothing to forgive you for. You're my daughter, Sam. You've been put through a horrible ordeal and you're in a lot of pain and I want you to know that I am going to be here for you and I'm going to help you through it, all right?

Alexis: All right. I think you've been through enough, huh? Let's get you home.

Sam: That sounds good.

Alexis: I'll just grab this. Here we go. Good. Glad you're here.

Ric: Everything all right?

Alexis: Yeah. Everything's all right. Sam's going to come stay with us.

Sam: Yeah, I'm -- if that's okay with you.

Carly: You got to stop. All right? You got to stop because Max is doing nothing but trying to help you, okay?

Sonny: You -- you're defending Max now? Maybe it just doesn't go, you know, one way. Maybe you came on to Max and you guys have been doing it behind my back.

Carly: Sonny, come on.

Sonny: Why am I not surprised? I mean, were -- you know -- where does it start? I mean, with A.J. and then Jason and then Alcazar, then Tony Jones? Was he the last man in Port Charles you could sleep with?

Jason: Sonny. This has to stop.

Carly: Jason, what are you doing here? You're not well enough to leave the hospital.

Jason: I'm okay.

Carly: No, you're not okay. I told you I can take care of Sonny.

Sonny: I don't need anybody to babysit me. Take Jason back to the hospital.

Jason: I'll agree to go back to the hospital if you agree to get help.

Dillon: Are you okay?

Lulu: I don't know why people make such a big deal about the first time because the second time is so much better.

Dillon: Good answer! I was getting kind of worried there because you were less than enthusiastic the first time.

Lulu: Well, I didn't expect to sleep with you the first time, and you were really sorry afterwards.

Dillon: No, wait. No, wait a minute. That was -- I was sorry for my losses with -- with Georgie. I mean, she was the love of my life and I trusted her and I can't -- I can't get that back, but -- but I was not sorry for being with you, then or now.

Lulu: I don't want to be sorry, either.

Tracy: Oh, my god!

Sam: I have been hostile to you from the start out of my loyalty for Jason. He didn't like you, so I went out of my way to be difficult even after I had moved in.

Ric: Okay, it's been a big adjustment for all of us.

Sam: I know, I know. I just -- I don't want to make excuses. I'm going to be moving in your house, not the other way around, so if you don't feel comfortable with me there, I'd like you to be honest or, you know --

Ric: No, it's not your fault you adopted Jason’s hatred of me.

Sam: Right, I just want to take responsibility for my actions, that's all.

Ric: Right. All I want is a chance for us to have a relationship on our own terms, yeah.

Alexis: Great. Oh, good.

Sam: Yeah.

Alexis: That's good. Settled, then, and Kristina’s going to be really happy to see you.

Mayor Floyd: Miss Davis, I'm glad I caught you.

Alexis: I was just on my way out.

Mayor Floyd: We need to discuss how to spin the Manny Ruiz case.

Alexis: Maybe we can discuss that first thing in the morning.

Mayor Floyd: Fine. That'll give me plenty of time to hang you out to dry with the press.

[Alexis sighs]

Ric: You know what? You and Mayor Floyd obviously need a clarification session. I'm going to take Sam home. Don't work too late, okay?

Sam: Bye.

Alexis: See you in a bit.

Mayor Floyd: You know, your qualifications as a jurist notwithstanding, your family ties are becoming increasingly awkward.

Alexis: My family is not open for discussion. As far as the Manny Ruiz case; no spin, no press. The case is closed and my highest recommendation is that you leave it alone.

Patrick: Why should I waste my time on patients who don't respect my surgical skills?

Elizabeth: Uh-oh. Did someone disrespect Dr. Patrick Drake?

Patrick: Morgan checked himself out of the hospital.

Elizabeth: What? But it's too soon.

Patrick: Well, exactly what's indicated on his chart. Obviously, he elected to not listen to his doctors.

Elizabeth: But didn't somebody call you before he left?

Patrick: Why would he listen to me? I'm only the guy that stitched up an artery two seconds before he was about to bleed out. Look, the signature's right there. Jason knows if that artery opens up, he's going to bleed to death. Obviously, he doesn't care.

Elizabeth: Tell Epiphany I'm taking some comp time.

Patrick: Where are you going?

Elizabeth: To find Jason, to get him back in the hospital.

Patrick: Look, no disrespect, Elizabeth, but if he doesn't listen to his doctors, what makes you think he'd listen to you?

Carly: Can you wait outside? And don't let anyone in.

Max: Yeah, sure, Mrs. C. I'll have Milo get the car ready just in case.

Carly: Thank you. Okay, sit down. The last thing we need is for you to be bleeding all over the place.

Sonny: You want to lock me up?

Jason: I want to sit here, get through this. It'll pass -- it always does.

Sonny: I don't need you here. I don't need anybody here.

Jason: What happened to your hand?

Sonny: A broken frame. I was just trying to clean it up.

Jason: Cut yourself? Look, I can't leave you with Carly and Max anymore.

Sonny: Carly and Max are doing it, you know that, right?

Jason: No, Sonny. There is nothing going on between Carly and Max and you know that.

Sonny: I don't want Carly here. I want -- I want her to go.

Carly: Jason's not strong enough to take care of you, Sonny.

Jason: She's right. I mean, if you were to come after me, I wouldn't be able to defend myself.

Sonny: Why would I come after you, Jason?

Jason: Well, I don't know. Why do you do anything when you're like this?

[Sonny sighs]

Carly: Sonny, you've been really sick and Rose Lawn might help. It's a nice place; the doctors can take care of you. They can give you some medicine to calm you down.

Sonny: I don't want medicine.

Jason: Okay, then we need to figure something out.

Sonny: Oh. I can't breathe in a place like that. And I'll fight you if you try to stick me in there.

Jason: Hey.

[Sonny sighs]

Jason: What do you want us to do? We can't keep living like this.

Tracy: Get dressed!

Dillon: In front of you? In front of my mother? No. No, thank you.

Tracy: Excuse me. You won't put on your clothes in front of your mother, but you'll get naked with your stepsister?

Lulu: Oh, chill out, okay? Dillon and I are not related. We didn't grow up in the same house together. We didn't even know each other, well, until you married my dad.

Dillon: And, by the way, I think it was you who put me on Lulu patrol.

Tracy: Oh, please, do not make this my fault.

Lulu: Okay. You are acting like it's incest. It is just sex.

Tracy: And it's just going to stop. You can rest assured that this is never going to happen again.

Lulu: Did you see? "This -- never going to happen again. Never."

Dillon: It's so bad, it's funny. But not really.

Sonny: I didn't mean to say those things to you. I don't know -- what's going on with me right now. It was wrong, unforgivable. I wanted you to go, you wouldn't, so I punished you for staying. What kind of man does that to the mother of his children?

Carly: It's okay.

Sonny: No, it's not okay to attack the people who care about you. I don't -- I want to -- I want to stop. I want to -- I don't want to feel like this anymore. I just don't know how, but I'm -- I'm saying to -- to you that if you lock me up, I'd rather -- you know, I'm not going to survive, Jason.

Jason: I'll -- I'll stay. I'll stay here with you.

Sonny: Boys okay? They all right? Michael and Morgan were on the terrace right here.

Carly: They showed up and we were in a pretty bad fight.

Sonny: I scared them.

Carly: No. We both did, okay?

Sonny: No, that's --

Carly: Yeah, we both did and we talked to them -- don't you remember? Look, you told Michael you weren't feeling very well and we said, "Yes, we were fighting, but we loved each other," and you hugged them both and it was okay.

Sonny: I don't want my children to be afraid of me.

Carly: They're not afraid of you, Sonny. They're not.

Sonny: You should be -- you should go with them. They need you right now.

Carly: I'm not leaving you.

Sonny: No, you just -- Michael and Morgan, you should be with them because, I mean, you'd tell them that I'm sorry.

Carly: It's okay. Do you hear me? It's okay.

Sonny: No, it's not okay because you got to stop saying that because of what I did to you. The things I said, you should have me arrested.

Carly: I'm not giving up on you just like you didn't give up on me.

Patrick: Well, is that the new volunteer uniform?

Maxie: I just came by to check my schedule. I'll be gone in a second.

Patrick: If you're looking for Epiphany, she's in the O.R., and if she catches you wearing that, she'll send you home even if you're not on-duty.

Maxie: Is Elizabeth in the O.R., too?

Patrick: No, she took off for a while.

Maxie: Problems at home?

Patrick: No. She's following up on a patient who checked himself out of the hospital too soon.

Maxie: Oh. Doesn't that sound like Elizabeth -- always trying to help others?

Det. Rodriguez: You got a message. It sounds important.

Lucky: Locanda treviso.

Det. Rodriguez: They called to confirm a reservation for two.

Lucky: Yeah, well --

Det. Rodriguez: You and Elizabeth must be celebrating your promotion early.

Lucky: Yeah, well, I'm going to call and cancel it.

Det. Rodriguez: That place is impossible to get into, unless you're the hero cop who stopped Manny Ruiz.

Lucky: Yeah, well, this hero cop should've checked his wife's schedule before making any plans. Elizabeth's not available.

Alexis: Here's what I think -- the less said about Manny Ruiz to the press, the better, because the minute he took off his ankle bracelet, from that point on, he has made the police look absolutely ridiculous.

Mayor Floyd: Yeah, well, he'd still be sitting on death row if you hadn't gotten him a suspended sentence.

Alexis: Which is no longer an issue because Ruiz is dead. He was shot by a police officer in the line of duty. You see, the system works -- that's a good thing. Let's move on.

Mayor Floyd: Is that what you want to spin?

Alexis: I want you to say anything that'll make this case go away. The man is dead and I suggest you let the story die with it.

Mayor Floyd: All right, look. It's true -- mistakes were made from the very beginning, starting with you. But everyone's behavior in this case will not stand up to very close scrutiny, so how do we present this to the public?

Alexis: You focus, keep the focus on Lucky Spencer. You make a speech at his promotional ceremony, you talk about how the streets are safer, you do whatever you want. But as far as this office is concerned, this case is closed.

Mayor Floyd: Okay. What about your airtight case against Jason Morgan for killing Escobar?

Alexis: I will quietly drop the charges.

Mayor Floyd: Oh, they were trumped up to begin with.

Alexis: I forced Manny's hand in an effort to save my daughter and you know that.

Mayor Floyd: Yeah, so why are you letting Morgan off the hook now? Because he helped catch Manny Ruiz or maybe because he happens to be your daughter's fiancé?

Alexis: Because there is no evidence to connect him to the murder of Juan Escobar. My dropping the charges against Jason had absolutely nothing to do with my daughter.

Sam: It's hard to believe that Manny took me away from this place only a few days ago. I mean, it just feels like years already.

Ric: Yeah, well, good thing it's all over. It must've been awful being Manny’s captive.

Sam: Yeah, I mean, it was -- it was terrifying thinking that I could die at any minute, but I had options and I used them.

Ric: Yeah, well, that phone call you made probably saved your life.

Sam: I understand what happened with Manny. I will get over that and move on, but Jason? No, I don't think I'll ever understand that, why he broke up with me, how he could claim to love me one minute and not the next. Unless - unless he never really loved me at all.

Carly: You know, maybe it wasn't such a good idea letting him go up there to clean up alone. If he's not back soon, you're going to have to go up there and check on him.

Jason: Carly, he's going to be all right.

Carly: What about you? I can take care of Sonny. You need to go back to the hospital, Jason.

Jason: No.

Carly: What if he flips out and comes after you? I have never seen him this bad.

Jason: You did great taking care of him. Are you okay?

[Carly sighs]

Carly: He kissed me. I went along with it, you know, and it caused a big fight and whatever. He keeps talking about drowning and I just kept telling him to hold on.

Jason: I'm glad you were here for him.

Carly: Yeah, I did the best I could.

Jason: No, you -- you came through like I knew you would.

Carly: You owe me big time, you know.

Jason: You're right, I do.

Carly: I got to get out of here. I need to go check on the boys and shower and clean up.

Jason: Wait, wait.

Carly: If you need anything, call me.

Jason: Just tell the boys that -- that their dad is going to be okay.

Max: Hey.

Carly: Hey.

Max: Milo went after the car.

Carly: Okay. Thank you.

[Max sighs]

Carly: Please, don't be upset about anything Sonny said. He didn't --

Max: I know --

Carly: Mean it, you know?

Max: He doesn't know what he's saying. I -- I know.

Carly: He doesn’t. Thank you.

Max: You’re welcome.

Sonny: Carly left?

Jason: Yeah.

Sonny: Is she okay?

Jason: Yeah, she'll be all right.

Sonny: She should hate me. So should you.

Robert: What is so important that we have to meet here? I've got two high rollers from Texas dropping an absolute fortune on the tables, for --

Tracy: This is more important than money.

Robert: Who are you? And what have you done with Tracy Quartermaine?

Tracy: The Willoughby’s annoying dog was digging up my mother's rose garden yet again. I looked for Alice; she was nowhere to be found, so I had to chase the dog away.

Robert: Okay. There is a point here somewhere.

Tracy: I ended up down here, noticed that that door was slightly ajar, went in to investigate.

Robert: And found some lucky couple having sex. Oh. Who was it, I wonder? Neighborhood kids? Gardener and the cook? Gardener and the chauffeur?

Tracy: Dillon and Lulu!

Robert: Oh.

Tracy: Exactly. My incorrigible stepdaughter was having sex with my irresponsible, not to mention married, son.

Robert: Well, I guess we shouldn't be too surprised.

Tracy: What? I am shocked! And you're going to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Robert: Me?

Tracy: Yeah, you're going to talk to Lulu.

Robert: Why me?

Tracy: Because she doesn't listen to a word I say. And your friend Luke is missing in action.

Robert: Look, I never had "the talk" with my own daughter. In retrospect, I don't know whether it would have achieved a whole lot. But I'm not about to start and practice on -- on Lulu. Forget it.

Tracy: All right. I suppose I can send her off to a maximum-security boarding school.

Robert: Do whatever you've got to. I'm out of it.

Tracy: Okay. Well, I'll let Dillon and Lulu continue their inappropriate sexual liaison. And I will be sure to tell Luke when he returns just exactly how helpful you were.

Robert: Okay. But I'd like to point something out here. Spy school never dealt with adolescent relationships.

Michael: Mom!

Carly: Hey. Get over here. Oh. Oh, god. Hey, babe, come here.

Michael: What happened? Is dad all right? When can we go see him?

Carly: You know what? Your dad's still really sick. But Jason is with him right now.

Michael: I thought dad was really mad at Jason.

Carly: Well, your dad needs Jason to take care of him. That's how it works with families. Jason's going to help your dad get better.

Michael: But what's wrong with him?

Carly: That's a really hard one to explain. You know we all have feelings. Some happy, some sad, some really, really mad. But most of us don't always feel those feelings at once, okay? That's kind of what's happening to your dad right now. And his feelings don't fade or change. Like when you get really mad at someone, and eventually you get over it. See, right now, with your father, his feelings keep getting stronger and stronger. Like when you turn on a TV and -- and the sound just keeps getting louder and louder, and you can't turn it off. So right now, your dad needs to be by himself for a little while, where he doesn't need to take care of anyone or worry about anyone. So he can just take care of himself and calm down for a little while so he can get back to normal.

Michael: How can we help?

Carly: Just got to love him, because that's what he needs most. Okay?

Sonny: How much longer you planning on doing it? Putting your life on hold, walking out of the hospital just to sit with me?

Jason: I'm all right.

Sonny: No, you're not. What have I done to deserve this? I turned my back on you. Whew. Here you are. Why don't you just cut your losses?

Jason: Because you're sick. Do you think I would just walk away?

Sonny: Sick or no sick, doesn't take away that I lied to the police to have you arrested. I put a hit on you. Now's your chance to -- to pay me back. Why don't you?

Elizabeth: Is Jason here?

Max: Yeah.

Elizabeth: Good. It is too soon for him to be out of the hospital. You need to get him back there immediately.

Max: Yeah -- it's not going to be possible right now.

Elizabeth: Do you understand that he's risking his life to help Sonny? That if his arm starts to bleed, he could die?

Max: Look, I'll keep an eye on things, all right? If I have to, I'll call 911. But other than that, I'm not-

Elizabeth: Can I please just go check on him, make sure he's okay?

Max: No, I'm going to have to ask you to leave.

Elizabeth: I won't stay long.

Max: Shh. Listen, if Sonny hears your voice, you're going to set him off again. Now, please, you're going to have to go. God.

Jason: Nothing that happened is your fault.

Sonny: Don't make excuses for me. I tried to have you killed.

Jason: You called it off. You know? All the other stuff that happened, we can't change any of it, Sonny.

Sonny: You don't hate me for what I did to you?

Jason: No, I don't hate you.

Sonny: Then you should damn well hate me for what I did to Carly.

Dillon: Uh-huh.

Tracy: The boathouse is off-limits to you and Lulu.

Dillon: What, are you kidding me? You think that's going to stop us? That thing?

Tracy: Aren't you married to someone else?

Dillon: Mom, that's over. I'm serious. Don’t.

Tracy: Luke entrusted the care of his daughter to me.

Dillon: Oh, God, what does that mean? What does that mean? You're going to -- you're going to completely ignore Lulu until you feel the urge to accuse her of being a useless freeloader? Come on.

Tracy: All right. You're right, Lulu and I do not have the easiest of relationships, but she is my stepdaughter. I am concerned for her welfare. You are my son, and you know I love you with all my heart.

Dillon: Oh-ho-ho, wow. Whoo, you -- whoo -- you're ju -- you're just pulling out all the stops for this one, aren't you? You -- you -- no, you go ahead. You -- you get down with your bad self, but you can't control this part of my life.

Tracy: Sweetheart --

Dillon: Yes?

Tracy: Dillon, you and Lulu are not just a couple of wacky kids hooking up for a summer romance. You're family, like it or not. If this is a true love affair, it's very misguided. And if it's just casual sex, it's a big mistake. Either way, I'm putting a stop to it before something tragic happens.

Robert: Lulu -- ah --

Lulu: Hi.

Robert: Good, I'd -- I'd like a word.

Lulu: Oh, did you hear from my dad?

Robert: Oh -- no, not exactly.

Lulu: Okay, well, what is it?

Robert: Um -- all right. Look, I realize that -- well, you know, things change. You know, in my day, for instance, we -- we -- we would've -- oh. How do I --

Lulu: Oh, my god! Oh, my god! Tracy told you!

Ric: You okay?

Sam: Oh.

Ric: Sorry, I didn't mean to --

Sam: You caught me.

Ric: If you need some privacy, I'll just --

Sam: No. No, it's okay. I'm sorry. It's just really hard when you have to let go of all of your -- your hopes and your dreams, you know?

Ric: It's okay. You can go ahead and cry. You've more than earned the right.

Sam: Thank you. Just don't tell Alexis about this.

Alexis: Tell me what?

Sonny: I wanted Carly to leave. She wouldn’t. I called her names. It got ugly. I deliberately hurt her because she was trying to help me.

Jason: She's fine. You don't -- you don't have to keep thinking about that.

Sonny: I wanted to prove to Carly that I'm not worth saving.

Jason: You know Carly's way too stubborn for that.

Sonny: Yeah. She didn't back down for a second.

Jason: When Carly broke down, you did everything you -- you could to help her, right? Why wouldn't she do the same for you?

Sonny: She's loyal, but I -- I'll tell you the truth -- the way I treated her, I don't deserve that. I don't deserve your loyalty, either.

Jason: Yeah, you do.

Jason: I should have never gone against you. I -- I was the one who set all this in motion. And I was wrong.

Tracy: I believe that you genuinely care about Lulu.

Dillon: Huh. Thank you, I do.

Tracy: Has it occurred to you how damaging this relationship might be to her?

Robert: Have you given any thought to where this is all headed? I mean, do you really want to have a relationship with Dillon?

Lulu: You and Tracy are taking this way too seriously.

Dillon: Mom, you have done nothing but been hard on Lulu since the very beginning. And now, you're worried that I'm damaging her? Are you kidding me?

Lulu: Is Tracy making you do this?

Robert: Look, as a close friend of your father, and the fact that he's --

Lulu: Did she threaten to throw you out of the house or pull her money out of the Haunted Star, or both?

Robert: No. She pointed out that your father would be concerned. And on that point, I agree with her.

Lulu: Tracy doesn't care about me; she just wants to control Dillon.

Robert: Don't ever underestimate Tracy Quartermaine. Yes, she's a complicated person. Yes, she's not one given to sentiment. And no, she doesn't suffer fools and idiots all that easily. But she cares a great deal about your father, and by extension, you, too.

Tracy: I adore you. I do not want you ruining your life.

Dillon: I'm not ruining anyone's life.

Tracy: Dillon, I was a teenage girl once. I know that may be difficult to imagine. But I see a lot of myself in Lulu. Desperate to get the attention of a distant father, I got myself into a whole lot of trouble getting involved with wrong men.

Dillon: Thank you. I'm flattered you think so highly of me.

Lulu: You know Dillon. He is a good guy and he is not going to hurt me.

Robert: I never said he'd do it deliberately.

Lulu: It is just sex.

Robert: My dear, it's never just sex.

Dillon: You look at me like I'm this jerk guy who's going to just, like, use her and dump her. That's not going to happen, Mom. I mean, Lulu and I -- we're good friends. We -- we really feel strongly about each other.

Tracy: Are you telling me you're in love with her?

Lulu: Dillon and I understand each other. And we are in sync and we have been for a long time.

Robert: Good. Am I to understand that you're in love with him?

Sam: I am so sorry. I didn't want you to know that I was bawling over Jason. You want me to stand on my own two feet, and I will. I -- I promise, I will. I'm just not there yet, that's all.

Alexis: Would you mind getting us a couple brandies? We've had a horrible day here --

Sam: Oh, that'd be nice.

Alexis: And I think we could use it.

Ric: Sure, my pleasure.

Alexis: Thanks, honey. I know how much you loved Jason. You loved him deeply. You have every reason to mourn the end of that relationship, and you don't have to justify that to me or anyone else.

Sam: I just thought that Jason and I would be together forever, that's all.

Alexis: Sam, it's a loss. And everyone in this family understands that. So if you want to scream, yell, cry, slam doors, get mad --

Sam: Ugh.

Alexis: We don't care, just do it.

Sam: Get mad -- I would love to get mad, but who am I going to get mad at? You and Ric -- you're just trying to help. Jason -- he wants to keep me safe, so I just --

Alexis: You're entitled to your feelings, Sam.

Sam: Right, but anger -- anger is not going to get me what I want.

Alexis: And -- and what is -- what is it that you want?

Sam: I don't know. I don't know. I want -- I want to get my life back on track. I want my G.E.D. I want a job. I -- I would like to work at the hospital. I did apply.

Ric: Here you go.

Alexis: Okay. All right. See? Thanks, honey.

Ric: Ladies.

Sam: Thank you.

Ric: Cheers.

Alexis: There's something we can help you with.

Sam: You mean getting my G.E.D.?

Alexis: I have the benefit of a Yale education here. Ric has the benefit -- well, the -- it's an inferior one.

Ric: Hmm, hmm, hmm.

Alexis: But he really is -- he's very bright.

Sam: I couldn't -- I mean, I could never ask the two of you to help me.

Alexis: You aren't asking. You aren't asking, we're volunteering. Aren't we?

Ric: Yeah, I'd be happy to do anything that I can to help.

Maxie: Lucky?

Lucky: Why did you say you need to see me?

Maxie: Okay -- maybe this is bad timing, and I -- I could just be looking into it wrong like you said, but --

Lucky: Okay, just say what you're trying to say.

Maxie: Um -- Elizabeth left her shift early from the hospital, and Patrick made up some excuse about how she was checking on a patient, but I couldn't help but notice that he left a short time later.

Lucky: Are you saying that Elizabeth is meeting Patrick?

Maxie: I'm just telling you your wife's not where she's supposed to be.

Lucky: Well, you're implying a hell of a lot more.

Maxie: Fine. You know what? Next time, I'll just let you be the last to know. Excuse me, I have to go somewhere.

Lucky: Where are you going?

Maxie: I'm going to a club. Not like you care.

Lucky: Come on. You know that's not true.

Maxie: You're right. You do care -- when I can get you pills. I mean, that's when I'm your really great friend who you owe so much to. Other than that, you never even notice that I'm around.

Lucky: That isn't true. Sometimes, I feel like you're the only person that trusts me anymore.

Maxie: Lucky, please don't say that to me if you're just going to play me.

Lucky: I'm not playing you.

Elizabeth: Carly? It's Elizabeth.

Carly: What? What's wrong?

Elizabeth: It's Jason.

Carly: Oh, my god. Did Sonny go after him?

Elizabeth: You know he's over there?

Carly: Yes, I know. He was there --

Elizabeth: He's barely 24 hours out of surgery. He just had a major artery stitched back together. He can't be taking care of Sonny.

Carly: I tried to tell him to leave and go back --

Elizabeth: Well, you need to go back over there and check on him and tell him that if he doesn't get back in the hospital, he could bleed to death.

Jason: People are free to make their own choices. It's the one thing I've always believed.

Sonny: That's easy to say when you're a kid living above a bar and your only possessions are a gun and a motorcycle. But sometimes life changes what you believe.

Jason: Yeah, but no one has the right to decide how another person lives. I went -- I went against all of it when I told you to stay away from Emily.

Sonny: You weren't completely wrong. I was getting sloppy, and -- and distracted. Your sister's one of a kind, but I put -- I put her in danger and I lied to your face the whole time.

Jason: That doesn't mean I had the right to blackmail you.

Sonny: You were trying to take care of your sister.

Jason: Did I? I mean, Sam got shot. Justus -- murdered. And you're having a breakdown, and it all started when I took over. If we were working together instead of fighting each other, maybe we could have stopped Manny a long time ago.

Sonny: You told me you wanted to take out Manny. I wouldn't listen.

[Jason sighs]

Jason: I was wrong to take the business. I kept -- I kept telling myself that it was worth it if Emily was safe, and I was trying to force you guys to make that choice.

Sonny: And I was trying to keep her safe. And I was -- I couldn't take care of the business.

Jason: Sonny, you were sick. I knew exactly what I was doing, and I knew how much it would hurt you, and I did it anyway. So whatever happened, it's on my head. I didn't -- I didn't mean to. I didn't mean to, but I drove you to this breakdown. I am truly -- I'm sorry.

>> On the next "General Hospital" <<

Tracy: Do you love Lulu or don't you?

Robert: Are you in love with Dillon?

Patrick: Does your wife know where you are tonight?

Carly: Why the sudden renewed interest in Jason?

Sonny: Can you accept me being with your sister?

Alexis: I know how hard you fought for Jason. Have you given all that up?
