Robin: Why didn't you tell me you were coming?

Anna: I guess I like to surprise you. As soon as we said goodbye in the Markhams, I missed you already.

Robin: Aw --

Robert: Oh, what a crock. Okay, Anna. Now, what are you really doing here?

Manny: Where do I start, Sam? You decide.

Sam: You're not going to mark me.

Manny: Well, I need to send Mommy a memo. I mean, you get to pick where I inscribe it. I think it needs to be someplace intimate. A place that will maybe get Mommy’s -- and Jason’s -- attention.

Alexis: Jason stays in custody. Manny may let her go. At the very least, he's going to contact me, and he'll make whatever demands that he makes.

Det. Rodriguez: The F.B.I. profiler seemed convinced that this is a game between Manny and Jason. Manny can't win unless Jason loses.

Jason: Give me that -- give me that thing in your hair.

Elizabeth: Bobby pin?

Jason: Yeah, yeah. Okay.

Elizabeth: Jason, you don't have to escape. I'll just tell the police what Manny said, how working as a janitor made him invisible. They'll figure out that he's got Sam at G.H., and then he'll --

Jason: No. Look, I don't want the cops swarming around the hospital, okay? That's going to give Manny warning. I'm the one he wants, and that's what he's going to get. Okay, you need to leave.

Elizabeth: If you think you're going to get out of here without my help, think again.

Jason: What -- what are you going to do?

Elizabeth: I'm your diversion.

Sonny: If I -- if I kiss you, will you go?

Carly: That's not going to make me leave.

Sonny: Well, you know --

Carly: Sonny --

Sonny: It's worth a try.

Sonny: Hey –

Anna: I came to spend time with our daughter. You know, you're a fine one to question my motives. You're part of the reason she needs me.

Robert: What did I do?

Anna: You decided to put down roots here in Port Charles. That can't be good.

Robert: Well, I had some time between assignments. I decided to spend that time with Robin, and we've been doing great. Right, honey?

Anna: Yes, I can tell. I mean, my first clue was when she was begging you to stay out of her life.

Robin: Okay, I am standing here. I could give you my opinion.

Anna: Yes, of course, I know. I mean, this is all just -- are you all right? How are you?

Robin: I'm fine.

Anna: How's your man?

Robin: No man.

Anna: You know, I did a little background search on him -- actually, it was kind of extensive. He's very accomplished, your Dr. Drake, and I saw a picture of him. He's gorgeous.

Robin: Yes, he's gorgeous, but he's also a jerk. Fortunately, he's not my boyfriend.

Anna: Really?

Robin: Really.

Anna: I thought you two were on, you know, the fast track.

Robin: Well, you thought wrong, okay? I don't even like him.

Anna: Oh, come on, Robin. You don't think I can recognize a deep, deep state of denial when I see it? Whatever. He's a man; he'll come around.

Robert: You know, on this occasion, your mother's right. But, hey, he's a guy. And you're a strong, intelligent, gorgeous woman.

Robin: Well, this is all irrelevant because he told me tonight that he doesn't want to see me anymore, which is, of course, fine with me.

Anna: Men are swine. That's it, that's all there is to it, they're swine.

Robert: Hey, look, it -- it's not his fault he's a fool.

Anna: Don't just stand there, Robert. Go make the cretin pay for breaking our daughter's heart.

[Lulu laughs]

Dillon: What?

Lulu: It's just not exactly how I imagined it to be.

Manny: My name is going to look so nice on you, lady. Just think, I'll always be a part of you no matter what happens.

Sam: No, please --

Manny: Oh, it doesn't hurt that much.

Sam: Please --

Sam: Don't --

Manny: Don't worry about it.

Sam: Come on.

[Phone rings]

Epiphany: 10th floor nurses' station.

Sam: No!

Manny: Who you calling, baby? Who are you calling?

Jason: Elizabeth, this is -- this is a bad idea. Alexis will have you arrested as my accomplice.

Elizabeth: You need to find Sam. We both know what Manny's capable of if things don't go his way.

Elizabeth: This is all your fault.

Alexis: Elizabeth, what are you talking about?

Elizabeth: You're the one who should be in jail. In fact l would like to make a citizen's arrest. Somebody arrest this woman.

Alexis: Let go of my arm. Calm down --

Elizabeth: Don't tell me to calm down. All of this is happening because you let Manny Ruiz free.

Alexis: I'm very well aware of what I've done here.

Elizabeth: You took a homicidal maniac and you let him loose on this town. You know what? You're the one who should've been kidnapped. I would like you to see how it feels with a knife --

Alexis: Calm down!

Elizabeth: On your throat. No, because I'm the one who got kidnapped --

Alexis: Let her go! Don't hurt --

Det. Rodriguez: What's going on here?

Elizabeth: Get your hands off me!

Alexis: I said let her go!

Lucky: Hey, let her go.

Elizabeth: Manny took Sam just like he took me.

Det. Rodriguez: Where's Morgan?

Alexis: Oh --

Det. Rodriguez: He's gone!

Sonny: Wait, wait. Get out of here, Carly.

Carly: Uh -- Sonny?

Sonny: Just take your stuff and just go, okay? Just go.

Carly: Don't do this, okay?

Sonny: What did you expect from me? Tenderness? Passion? You want me to be grateful because you -- you're trying to get me to cheat on Emily?

Diego: Dad, I'm not going to move back to your house.

Lorenzo: I don't have time to argue, all right? I have a business meeting.

Diego: What kind of business?

Lorenzo: The same business that got the charges against you dropped. There is a price connected to your freedom, and I need to keep you close.

Diego: Okay, but I'm not a kid.

Lorenzo: No, you're a felon on probation, so end of discussion. You will leave Kelly’s and come home tonight. Pack up your things and find your way there. Give Mike a month's rent in advance, thank him for the short notice, all right? Here, just take it all.

Robin: I think everyone has waited tables here at Kelly’s.

Lorenzo: Oh -- sorry.

Anna: Uh -- that was rude.

Robin: Yeah.

Anna: That was rude. You know, I mean, if you look that good, you might want to be a little bit more gracious, wouldn't you say?

Robin: Uh -- that's Lorenzo Alcazar.

Anna: Huh?

Robin: International arms dealer, major crime figure? He says he's retired, but who knows?

Anna: Well, we can't put his life in order, so let's concentrate on you, shall we? You know, what time is it? I'm -- I want to call my hotel and just check that my luggage arrived. Do you want to get a table?

Robin: Sure.

Anna: It's very busy.

Anna: Anna Devane, 6370. I've landed and made contact.

Dillon: This is your first time? Why didn't you tell me? Lulu --

Lulu: What? It's no big deal. I would have gone all the way with Elvis if he actually existed.

Dillon: I am so sorry. I'm so -- this is wrong. I -- if I had known --

Lulu: What? What would you have done? Violins, champagne, a room at the Metro Court?

Dillon: I don't know, but your first time should not be a quickie on the floor of a boathouse.

Lulu: Why not? Maybe this is exactly what I wanted. Maybe I don't have one single regret. But you do.

Sonny: I know what you're doing. I've spent years surviving your tricks. I'll get Max over here. Max? Get the car for Carly.

Carly: I'm not going anywhere, Sonny.

Sonny: I know what you're doing, Carly. You figure I can't think straight, so you're just going to get me to bed, do what you got to do, you know?

Carly: That's not what happened and you know it.

Sonny: You'll do anything to break up me and Emily because you -- you can't stand the fact that I found someone kind and decent.

Carly: You kissed me. Okay? Maybe I shouldn't have kissed you back, but you kissed me.

Sonny: All the concern you were showing, I almost fell for it, but maybe -- you know what maybe this is all about? I'll tell you what this is all about. You want to pay me back for all the times that I hurt you.

Dillon: Um -- Lulu?

Lulu: That's -- that's not mine. It’s probably –

Dillon:  Georgie's. Oh, yeah, of course. It's -- she probably left it here when -- um --

Lulu: Yeah, it's awful what happened.

Dillon: Georgie and I have been together for a long time. Maybe it's that, you know? I mean, maybe it's just habit. Maybe we're used to each other.

Lulu: You love her.

Dillon: Well, we told each other we'd -- we'd keep on loving each other even though we were going through a divorce, and I thought with all the stuff pulling us apart, we'd still be able to do it. But -- I mean, not -- you know, her and Diego and you and me, it’s too far gone now. There's no coming back from that.

Lulu: Well, I mean, you can if you want to. What you and I did doesn't count.

Dillon: Of course it counts.

Lulu: Dillon, there's something that I should tell you.

Dillon: Yeah? What? Lu-- Lulu, you're about the only person I trust at this point. Tell me.

Lulu: It's nothing. This -- this meant nothing. I mean, it's -- you know, it's not like my virginity is some great prize. I'm actually glad to have it over with.

Dillon: You're glad to have it over with? Wow.

Lulu: No, no, not -- no. You -- you were sweet, and I'm -- I'm really glad my first time was with you. I mean, I might've been the only girl that didn't hook up at prom, and look how great this turned out.

Dillon: Let me ask you something. Don't -- didn't you want your first time to be special?

Lulu: You are special. Dillon, you're a great friend and we have the whole trust thing going on, so, you know, it's done. Let's just not talk it to death. And this is our little secret, right? Who knows what Stepmonster would say if she found --

Dillon: I'm not ashamed of what we did.

Lulu: No. Of -- of course not. I'm not, either. I got to go.

Manny: Wow. Damn, sweetness, you're fast. I had no idea. You know, you almost ruined everything.

Sam: I thought you wanted me to fight, I thought you like a challenge.

Manny: I love a challenge, as long as you don't spoil the game. So now we're going to write a message to your mother so she can get Jason out of jail.

Sam: Maybe it's a sign. Maybe you should just let me go.

Manny: Let you go? Where's the fun in that? No. If I can't get this thing to work, I'll just kill you and start over again. Maybe Carly or one of Sonny's kids, you know, one of the little paisans.

Orderly: Where is Elizabeth Spencer? Isn't she supposed to be on this floor tonight?

Epiphany: Why don't you stop asking questions about where other people are supposed to be and worry about your own job?

P.A. Announcer: Dr. Drake, 3406. Dr. Patrick Drake, call 3406.

Elizabeth: Good evening.

Epiphany: You won't get reprimanded for running out in the middle of your shift without telling anyone, mostly because I covered for you.

Elizabeth: Thanks. I owe you.

Epiphany: Tell me about what's going on around here and we'll call it even.

Epiphany: You're all over the television, listed as a fugitive wanted for murder.

Jason: It's not true. As soon as I find Sam, I'm going to turn myself in.

Elizabeth: We think Manny has her here in the building.

Jason: Do you know where Manny could be hiding without raising suspicion?

Epiphany: You could try the sub-basements. Used mostly for maintenance and storage --there are no patients, offices, or medical staff down there. A little while ago, I picked up a call from one of the basement extensions. But when I answered, no one was there. I didn't think much of it at the time --

Jason: Which floor, which floor?

Epiphany: I couldn't say, there are four of them.

Jason: Okay, I'm going to check them all.

Lucky: You’re under arrest.

Sonny: You must love that it was getting real close to getting me to cheat on Emily.

Carly: I didn't seduce you and I didn't come here with the intention to sleep with you.

Sonny: Why'd you come here?

Carly: I came here to help you. So don't attack me.

Sonny: I'm not attacking you. It's not the truth. You showed up here to pull me down in the mud with you. It's the same dance that we always do. One of us lies, the other one follows. One of us cheats, the other one gets revenge. We punish each other until one of us loses our mind. We're supposed to be done with all that, Carly. I finally found somebody who makes me happy, and you want to trash that? You want to come here and trash everything that makes me feel good.

Carly: Don't blame me because you couldn't keep your hands off of me. Maybe this “somebody that you found” isn’t enough for you. How can she be? You're not the man you pretend to be, Sonny. You are selfish, you're arrogant, and you're out of control.

Sonny: Selfish like you?

Carly: Yes.

Sonny: Like you?

Carly: Yeah.

Sonny: Right. Look -- you know, we were here, we were kissing and stuff. You wouldn't stop, you know? I mean, maybe that's -- what am I -- I'm not going to be unfaithful to Emily. I will not do that to her, it's not a good thing. So go ahead and go.

Carly: Man, you would love that, wouldn't you? You would love me just to walk out of here so you can lose your mind and you can lose your soul. It's not going to happen. And you should be thanking me. Yeah. You should be thanking Jason, and you should be grateful that we didn't abandon you completely.

Sonny: I should -- I should thank Jason for stealing my life, for -- for betraying me the way he did? You both can rot in hell.

Carly: Come on. Come on. What’s going on here? What are you doing? You're supposed to be with Leticia.

Michael: Well, we wanted to surprise you. Get down.

Carly: Well, that's definitely a surprise. Come here, buddy, give me a hug.

Sonny: What's on your mind, buddy?

Carly: Yeah.

Michael: Well, tomorrow is July 4, so we wanted to have a picnic.

Sonny: Oh.

Max: Hi. Hi.

Leticia: Carly said she'd be here, and the boys wanted to see their mom and dad.

Max: Uh -- right now is not a good time. Why don't you take the kids home. I'll have Carly call you later, then you guys can figure out a better time to --

Leticia: But they're already here. They went around to the terrace to surprise their parents.

Carly: Your father and I can't go on a picnic tomorrow, Michael. I'm sorry.

Michael: Why not?

Sonny: I'm not feeling well. Oh, man. But I'm going to get better, but not by tomorrow. Your mom's going to take care of me.

Michael: You were fighting.

Carly: Yeah, we were fighting. No surprise there, right? Hey -- you know we'd never lie to you. That's why your father and I can't be married. But we're always going to look out for each other.

Sonny: We always take care of each other, right, buddy?

Carly: Yeah. Okay, I think Leticia is waiting for you guys. Yeah?

Michael: Yeah.

Carly: Okay.

Morgan: Uh-huh. Yuk.

[Carly laughs]

Sonny: Hey, hey - I'm sorry that I can't make it to the picnic. But I promise you that I'll make it up to you.

Michael: It's okay.

Sonny: Okay?

Michael: Just get better. Come on.

Carly: All right.

Sonny: Get over here. Give me a kiss.

[Sonny sighs]

Carly: Hey --

Carly: Michael knows about your mood swings, and he knows that you pull out of it.

Sonny: Morgan is the one I'm worried about. Whatever is wrong with me, I just don't want to pass it down to him.

Robert: Curious practice for a doctor, no? I mean, ignoring a page.

Patrick: Well, I figured it could wait until after I saved a patient in the E.R. So what's the emergency? You look healthy enough.

Robert: Well, I find myself troubled by recent events concerning my daughter.

Patrick: If this is about our decision to end our relationship, I wasn't aware we needed to clear it through you.

Robert: Look, relationships come and go. You know, both parts of the relationship sometimes don't measure up -- lack of expectation, people go their own way. I can get that. Now, what I don't get is the way that you've handled yourself here. You dropped my daughter like she was a hot brick. You showed her no respect.

Patrick: Mr. Scorpio, I have nothing but respect for your daughter, which is why our relationship had to end. I didn't want to mislead her about a future that didn't exist for us.

Robert: Because of her medical condition?

Patrick: If Robin and I were to ever have a future, her medical condition wouldn't even be an issue. I admire the way Robin lives her life, the way she deals with her condition. She's a brave girl. But the bottom line is I'm not looking for a relationship, and I'm sure if you were to ask her, she'd say the same thing.

Robert: Oh, wait, wait, wait. Were these her words, or were these your assumptions to patch your ego?

Patrick: It was our understanding from day one. Look, I'm an inherently self-involved man. My career and my reputation are what is important to me. I don't have enough left to give to someone who deserves more, and I'm sure you can relate to that.

Robert: Well, this is your lucky day because I'm going to give you the benefit of my considerable experience with Robin's mother. Strong, independent women -- well, they come along rarely in your life. The man who lets that slip through his fingers is a perfect idiot.

Robin: So it all started out because Patrick is really fun to flirt with --

Anna: Mm-hmm.

Robin: You know, and he's really good-looking. But unfortunately he knows it, and so does everybody else. I mean, every woman he comes in contact with wants him.

Anna: Oh. I'll reserve judgment on that.

Robin: So I figured, why not? I hadn't let myself have a purely physical relationship and -- all right, well, let's be honest, I never have. Are you sure you want to hear this?

Anna: Oh, my god, are you kidding? I mean, we have French fries and we're talking about sex.

Robin: Okay.

Anna: This is hormonally very satisfying.

[Robin laughs]

Robin: Great. First of all, he's an amazing kisser. And everything else is pretty perfect, as well. I mean, it was the perfect situation -- hot guy, commitment-phobic, and he's a doctor, so my H.I.V. status isn't a problem. He knows all the risks and precautions. And on the flip side of it, he's so insufferable on every level that I knew I could never see myself really being with him.

Anna: It sounds perfect. What went wrong?

Robin: Things got complicated. I think he got scared, which is silly because we both agreed that we were just in it for the sex.

Anna: Oh, Robin. I love you, but that's a lie.

Robin: Excuse me?

Anna: Yeah. I mean, I don't know this guy, but I do know you. And, you know, you've been shut down for years because your heart was broken, right? More than once. So you were done with it. I mean, closed for business. And then you let this guy kiss you, and suddenly things were possible.

[Robin sighs]

Anna: There's no such thing as "purely physical" for a woman like you. You put a great deal of value in intimacy and trust, and -- you should. You know? And this whole fantasy of yours about -- about the perfect man -- someone who's fabulous in bed, with no strings attached -- he turned into flesh-and-blood. And he started to crack that shell that you'd put around your heart. Robin, your eyes are warmer, you smile more easily.

[Robin laughs]

Anna: No, I mean, this -- this insufferable, arrogant m -- he got to you, didn't he?

Robin: Well, it doesn't matter now because he broke it off, and I'm better off without him.

Anna: No, honey, I doubt that.

Robin: Mom, I can't be with someone who doesn't want me back. I mean, that's not my pride talking, that's just basic survival.

Anna: I'm proud of you, anyway, for being willing to take the chance.

Robin: Well, now look what's happened. I did the one thing I promised myself I wouldn't do.

[Robin sighs]

Robin: I started to fall in love with Patrick.

Lucky: There's a service revolver missing from the PCPD, and I'm guessing you have it.

Jason: Manny has Sam somewhere in the hospital.

Lucky: Let the police search for her -- it's what we do.

Jason: If the police get involved, Manny’s going to kill Sam.

Lucky: You don't know that.

Jason: You saw what happened when he had Elizabeth on the pier. Do you doubt that he would hurt her?

Lucky: You don't make the same mistake I did. Let the police handle it. You're coming with me.

Elizabeth: Stop it. Lucky, let him go.

Lucky: Elizabeth, don't do this.

Elizabeth: Jason, just go, find Sam. Lucky, he isn't the problem. Just stop fighting him and help him -- the way he helped us.

Robert: Ah -- perfect timing. I'm taking you both to dinner.

Robin: Wow! That's really sweet, but I -- I have to go to work.

Anna: And I ate enough French fries to last me a lifetime. Did you beat some sense into that Patrick?

Robin: Oh, please tell me you didn’t.

Robert: We had a chat, nothing physical.

Robin: As if this hasn't been humiliating enough already.

Robert: No, look, the poor guy said he -- he couldn't deal with a committed relationship at this point, and he didn't want to lead you on.

Robin: Great. So it's done, over, finished, finito. Patrick is a shallow dog -- just like I always thought he was -- and I should've never gotten involved with him. So from now on, please do not ever mention his name to me again.

Robert: Our little girl's in love.

Anna: Hopelessly head over heels. Oh, poor thing. And Patrick?

Robert: The same -- smitten, like the alley cat that he is.

Anna: Oh, what a shame. They're just going to mess it all up and end up loathing each other. It's been known to happen.

Robert: Yeah, but, I mean, it's not too late. I mean, they can try again.

Anna: Yeah.

Robert: I mean, that is the reason you're here, right?

Anna: Oh, you're joking.

Robert: Oh, come on. You didn't come to Port Chuck to visit our kid.

Anna: What?

Robert: You knew I was here. You thought, "Hey, he's a little older, I'm a little older, maybe I'll check out the lay of the land." Well, this is your lucky day. If you're very nice to me, I might let you win me back.

Anna: Ooh, I can't wait. You've lost what's left of your mind, you realize.

Robert: Mm-hmm, and you're up to something. There's more to this visit than meets the eye, and I intend to find out what it is.

Diego: Hi. How'd it go with Dillon? You hooked up with him, didn't you? Ohh. Are you okay?

Lulu: Fabulous. What more could a girl want? Sleeping with the guy she's crazy about on a boathouse floor, and afterwards he's hating himself because he cheated on the girl that he really loves.

Diego: Lulu, did Dillon hurt you?

Lulu: No, he was as sweet and as kind as ever. This is what we wanted; the perfect plan. Now Dillon and Georgie are broken up for good, and we get to pick up the pieces. Lucky us.

Dillon: Hey, it's me. Um -- could you give me a call when you get this? I -- uh -- I shouldn't have let you leave like you did. Um -- I just -- I don't -- I don't want you to think that us sleeping together didn't mean anything to me, Lulu, because it does. And -- and I care about you, and I don't want you to think that I take that for granted. So -- um -- I'm just -- I'm going to be here at the boathouse waiting. Um -- we need to talk. Call me, please.

Sonny: Emily says I have something called Bipolar Disorder. It's a chemical imbalance in the brain. She says that it's not my -- you know, I can't -- it's not my fault. I can't help myself, and that I was born with it in me.

Carly: Maybe she's right, Sonny.

Sonny: She can't be because I -- if I was born with it, then I'd pass it down to Morgan and Kristina. God, sometimes -- you know, I just look at that boy's face sometimes. He's got so much love and joy. And I got to tell you, sometimes I look at his eyes because I want to see something, you know, to tell me that maybe he was born with it, that he's going to have to grow up with that hate and anger and panic. And he's going to have to wonder why he destroys anybody who tries to love him.

Carly: Morgan is a very happy little boy.

Sonny: I know, I know. That's why, you know, I don't see anything. So that tells me that whatever this is that's going on, it just happened along the way. My stepfather beating me, locking me in the closet -- that's what makes me this way, not some chemical imbalance. I love my children. I just want to keep them safe. I would die if they ever had to go through this pain because of me.

Carly: You listen to me. Whatever you have, whatever it turns out to be, your kids are going to always love you, and they're going to need you, and I'm not going to give up on you. And I am not going to let you give up on yourself.

[Music plays]

[Lulu cries]

Singer: You take the time to find yourself/ knowing you may face a broken heart/I know the tears they're not for me/so what are you waiting on? There's always something worth dying for/to give you a reason or to settle a score /I know that a heart lost in disguise is looking for something more to keep it alive

Singer: It seems so hard and out of reach/the love you desire you're questioning /I wish I could give it but it's yours to take/ so what are you waiting on? What are you waiting on? There's always something worth dying for/to give you a reason or to settle a score/I know that a heart lost in disguise is looking for something more/yes, it's looking for something more to keep it alive

>> On the next "General Hospital" --

Tracy: Consider yourself fired and evicted from the house as of tonight.

Lorenzo: Oh -- I'm sorry.

Anna: Wow. Sorry, I'm not usually that clumsy.

Lucky: There's a good chance that Sam and Jason can both wind up dead.

Manny: Put down your gun or I'm going to put a bullet in her.
