emily: How was the christening?
Nikolas: Oh -- full of surprises. See, it turns out that -- that john isn't jax's son. He's mine.
Emily: How did this happen? Who -- who told you?
Nikolas: Robin. She announced it at the christening. Jax admitted it.
Emily: Jax knew? No, of course. He had to know.
Nikolas: Jax built up a wall of lies so I would never find out that john was my son. My son.
Emily: God. Nikolas -- this is -- this is so wondeul. And it's -- it's so unbelievable. What do you do now?
Carly: I had everyone believing that maxie lied to robin about the paternity test. It was almost over. John was almost ours. Why did you throw it away?
Jax: You of all people, I -- I thought you'd understand why I had to tell the truth. Was I wrong about you?
Georgie: What are you doing?
Dillon: Happy graduation, georgie.
Lucky: Now that mac -- he's made me lead investigator on this durant murder, I want us to look at those three sporting goods stores, all right?
Det. Rodriguez: So you think the gun was purchased over the counter?
Lucky: Yeah, it could be. That squid that I brought in this morning -- he didn't know a thing.
Det. Rodriguez: If we can track the weapon, we can make attempted murder on sam mccall and first degree on the durant case.
Lucky: Ye, why don't you go ahead and put those coffee orders in, all right? I'll be right in. Hey, maxie --
maxie: Lucky, how are you?
Lucky: I'm fine. Listen, I need a favor. Can I get some more pills?
Sam: What's going on?
Elizabeth: Jason did me a huge favor, and I was just thanking him.
Sam: Well, ok, um -- as long as you're passing out vors to people, how about me?
Mike: The -- the others are on their way.
Georgie: Others? Wow, I really didn't expect this.
Dillon: Yeah, I guess you didn'T. You really didn't see me at the graduation, so --
georgie: You were there?
Dillon: Yeah, I was there. I stood in the back and I watched. You looked great.
Georgie: I kept thinking to myself how perfect it would be if you came --
dillon: Why would I not be there?
Georgie: Dillon, we've been fighting a lot. The other day, I -- I practically said we were over. And I --
dillon: Huh! You think that would stop us? Georgie, you have had an insane senior year. You -- you survived an epidemic, your uncle tony died, you got married. You got -- anyway, you -- you've maintained a -- an almost perfect grade point averagthroughout all of that and you derve a celebration, and I want to give you one.
Georgie: Can I help with anything?
Maxie: No, he's not answering.
Lucky: Just -- just keep trying.
Maxie: Lucky, you said I only had to get you those pills one time.
Lucky: I know, and I -- and I hate to ask. But, you know, I just had a big breakthrough in -- at work, and everything's finally going right.
Maxie: I know. I'm glad. I'm really happy for you, you deserve that.
Lucky: If I show any signs of slowing down -- if they suspect that I'm even in any kind of pain, then I have to go back on disability and start all over.
Maxie: You didn't finish those pills I gave you this morning, did you?
Lucky: No! God, no. See? But, see, you only gave me a handful, and I just don't want to come up short. It's -- it's just the insurance, that's all.
Maxie: If my dad catches me, he's going to bury both of us.
Lucky: It's not a lifetime commitment, maxie. I'm so close to being healed. You'd be saving my career.
Maxie: And you would owe me bigtime.
Sam: Admit that you broke up with me because of what alexis did when I was in the hospital.
Elizabeth: You two obviously have things you need to discuss.
Sam: Wait -- wait, elizabeth, you were there, at the hospital the day of the surgery, right?
Elizabeth: Yes, I was working. Why?
Sam: Why? Well, I just found out something really bizarre. Apparently, there was some sort of disagreement about the treatment. Noah drake thought that it was too dangerous to do the surgery?
Elizabeth: That was his opinion.
Sam: And patrick said it was necessary.
Elizabeth: Actually, patrick believed it was the only way to save you.
Sam: And alexis agreed with noah. She tried to stop the surgery.
Jason: Why are you going through all this if you already know?
Sam: I was unconscious, jason. I -- I think I get to fill in the blanks there. Alexis did everything in her power to get jason out of my life and to take control of the situation. I'm just really glad that I -- I cleared it up. Can I come home now?
Nikolas: Obviously, my son will be living with me. I -- I would have taken him home on the spot, but alexis convinced me that I -- that I needed to make some preparations, and that the transition wouldn't be easy for me, or for anyone else.
Emily: Yeah, nikolas. Alexis is right. I mean, you have a lifetime to spend with your son. A couple of days to -- to get your home ready and to set up a place for him makes sense. Nikolas, you have so much to look forward to.
Nikolas: What about everything I missed? Huh? Months with my son. They're gone. You know, when ihink of the -- when I think of the lengths that jax went to to keep me away from my son, to keep me away fr my own son!
Emily: I --
nikolas: Huh? You -- did you know he took out a -- a restraining order to keep me away from john? Did you know that?
Emily: I know, nikolas, I know, it was very wrong of him. Did jax even try to explain to you?
Nikolas: He wanted to keep john safe from helena. It was his excuse. So I guess -- I guess being raised a cassadine is a fate worse than death.
Emily: No, jax was wrong. Nikolas, that baby has you. And you're going to be a wonderful father.
Jax: I watched you look nikolas in the eye and tell him everything I did, including finally telling the truth, was in john's best interest. Did you not believe that?
Carly: Of course I did.
Jax: Then how can you stand there and ask why? Did you really think that john would go through 18 years of his life without the truth coming out? And is it -- is it even possible to raise an honest child with a lie like that over his head? You know, standing there today, watching it all unfold, I had this moment of clarity. I saw the future. I saw a little boy ask why he didn't look like me. And what his mother's last words were. Everything I did today, I did for john, and john alone. And now I have to take a good, hard look at what the three of us were building. Because everything we'd hoped for -- everything that we believed about each other -- it leaves us when the baby goes.
Carly: Ok, don't assume that we've lost everything.
Jax: John's going to be with his father.
Carly: I know that. But he's going to be around alexis. She's a good friend to you and she knows how much you love that little boy. And I can't believe I'm saying this, but you know axis is going to make sure that nikolas knows the truth and she's going to make sure that we're a part of his life, jax.
Jax: No, it's all coming back to bite me, carly. Soon I'll be the one begging for a few moments with john. I'm not going to -- I'm not going to do that, I'm not going to be that guy. Besides, nikolas wouldn't want me around him anyway, there wouldn't be any point.
Carly: This -- I'm so sorry because this is unfair. This is so unfair.
Jax: No, what I did was unfair -- to nikolas, to john, and most of all, to you.
Carly: You didn't do anything to me.
Jax: I pulled you into this lie, and then I betrayed you by doing the very thing I asked you not to -- by exposing the whole thing. I'm sorry.
Carly: No. Listen, don't you dare, because you're not the one who exposed this, ok? We both know who's responsible for that. You know what? I need to go check on michael and morgan -- and I'll be back, ok?
Carly: This isn't over. I won't let it be.
Sam: Now that I know the truth, we can put this behind us and just move on.
Jason: It doesn't change anything.
Sam: I mean, I -- I couldn't figure out why you suddenly thought that you were bad for me, and here it's because the whole time I was in the hospital, you were eating yourself up with worry, and alexis used that, jason. You told me that once she found out that -- that she was my mother, she would do everything in her power to come between us. She did that before she even found out that she was my mom. She said that -- that I was in danger just because I loved you. She is controlling and neurotic, and we agreed from the beginning that she didn't need to know.
Jason: That was before I nearly lost you.
Sam: I mean, I can just picture it. I can picture the two of you standing at my bedside trying to make decisions about my life. She must've hammered you with guilt.
Jason: It doesn't matter.
Sam: It does to me. What did she say to you? What, did she say it was your fault that I got shot?
Jason: It was my fault.
Sam: And she didn't stop there, did she? She said that if you loved me, you would let me go.
Jason: What alexis says or wants means absolutely nothing to me. I make my own decisions. And I am a danger to you, sam, we both know that.
Sam: So, what, you love your work more than you love me?
Jason: No, sam.
Carly: Jason, I have something --
sam: Carly, please, not now.
Jason: Carly -- just don't go anywhere.
[Music/sfx: Ticking sound and suspenseful piano throughout]
Elizabeth: Tell the tech I sent the wrong scans. The right ones are on their way down right now. I made a mistake, that's it. Ok, bye. Ugh.
Epiphany: That was the lab?
Elizabeth: Don't worry, I fixed it in time.
Epiphany: You're distracted.
Elizabeth: It just seems like every time things start to get better, something else happens.
Epiphany: This time it's lucky's pain medication -- you think he's hooked.
Elizabeth: How did you -- it's not that hard to figure out?
Epiphany: It happens.
Elizabeth: You think I should just say something to him?
Epiphany: You probably should.
Elizabeth: Well, it's not as easy as it sounds. He's back at work, he's feeling really good about it. If I say something wrong, it might set him back.
Epiphany: You could hold off, wait a week or two. Of course, by then it'll be that much harder to get him to quit.
Elizabeth: You think I should confront him now?
Epiphany: Good luck.
Elizabeth: Lucky, it's me. I need to meet you. It's important.
Robin: Happy graduation.
georgie: Thank you for coming! It's nice to see you.
Robin: I'm so sorry I'm late.
Georgie: Oh, don't worry about it.
Robin: I was kind of in the middle of a crisis.
Georgie: Is everything ok?
Robin: Yeah, everything's good -- I mean, nothing for you to worry about. It's your big dadoing here?
Georgie: He came to my graduation.
Robin: I guess miracles do happen. Hello.
Robin: Hi. How was the ceremony?
Robert: All things considered, it was pretty good. A lot of yelling, screaming, not a dry eye in the house, and some kid with a frightful skin problem gets up and gives a speech that has very little to do with reality.
Robin: Hmm. Kind of sounds like my speech -- you know, I was the valedictorian.
Robin: Although, I was probably extremely eloquent. Well, actually, I don't really know --
robert: You don't remember?
Robin: No, I don't remember. I was so nervous, and I just kept thinking, "ok, breathe, stand there, look out at the crowd," and I saw uncle mac and felicia and the girls, tony and bobbie, and I just knew that if I just looked at them, everything would be ok. I didn't -- I didn't mean anything by that.
Robert: It's ok. It's fine, I'm past it. I'm happy you had someone there who was in your corner to yell and scream for you.
Georgie: Dad --
robert: Oh, it's "candid camera."
Mac: Hey, come on, come on. You're my girl, you're beautiful. I'm proud of you, I want the world to know it.
Georgie: I love you, dad.
Jane: Little john has had his bottle. He has quite an appetite.
Jax: I'm sorry, mom. I know there's no int. I can apologize until the day I die and it won't make up for lying to you. I mean, I let you believe for months that you were a grandmother. I let you fall in love with john --
jane: Oh, shh. Don't, son. I know perfectly well you did what you thought was right.
Jax: You know, helena cassadine -- she tried to kill courtney more than once.
Jane: The woman's a monster.
Jax: I didn't want courtney's baby exposed to the same dangers, so, right or wrong, I made the call.
Jane: Hmm. And it was a courageous choice. Foolishly so, I'm afraid, but -- is that all it was, son? I mean, I may be projecting, but I think you were lonely. There was a hole in your heart where your father used to be and courtney nearly filled that. But then everything went so wrong. I mean, she broke your heart and then she died, she left you alone with little john, and he filled up that hole just fine, didn't he?
Jax: No, that was carly.
Jason: There's nothing left to say.
Sam: You are throwing away everything we were. That is not how to protect me, jason. That is how you ruin us.
We seek it out.
Dillon: You never told me why you didn't tell your folks.
Lulu: Everyone would've been there. Nikolas would've been there sitting next to elizabeth and lucky, and aunt bobbie and grandma lesley for sure, and who knows, maybe even your mom would've been there.
Dillon: Ok, that sounds good.
Lulu: All I would've noticed was the empty chair next to them -- the one for my dad. I would've waited the entire ceremony for him to show up, which he never would, so --
dillon: Well, I went through graduation without a father, and you know what I say -- who needs 'em? Fathers come and go, friends are forever. Wait -- no.
Robert: I used to be a killer.
Robin: Excuse me. Be right back. Maxie!
Maxie: I have an errand I need to run.
Robin: Ok, well, hold on a second. There's something you should know. I was at the christening today, and -- well, I told nikolas.
Jax: You know, I don't think carly trusted that -- well, at the beginning, I don't think she trusted that I was ready to be a father. But then we spent more time together helping john, and when she wasn't around I felt -- I felt myself missing her.
Jane: That's no small thing, jax.
Jax: I don't know. I think maybe for carly, it's all about john. You know, she had to take care of her best friend's orphaned baby and I came along with the package.
Jane: Oh, that's nonsense. I ied to drive carly off and she wouldn't let me. Believe me, she cares about you.
Jax: Well, I think I was a pleasant surprise to her. But I think in the end, you know, carly will do what she does best. You know, without john to keep us together, she'll go back to sonny.
Jason: If this is important, I want to hear it, otherwise it's not a good time, carly.
Carly: I need you to talk me down before I do something stupid and make a bad situation worse, jason.
Jason: What happened?
Carly: Robin happened. She stood up at little john's christening and announced to everyone that nikolas was his father, not jax.
Jason: How -- how long have you known this?
Carly: Couple of months.
Jason: Did courtney even know who her baby's father was?
Carly: Jax told her right before she died.
Jason: Carly, you had to know that this was going to blow up in your face.
Carly: I agreed with jax -- that the cassadines are dangerous, especially helena, and john is better off without them. Jason, he is a sweet little boy and he deserves to be loved, not used in some weird cassadine power play. And he would've had a wonderful life with me and jax. He would've been secure and he would've been happy. But no! Thanks to robin -- I swear to you that if it's the last thing I ever do, she will pay.
Lucky: Hey. I got here as fast as I could. Is somhing wrong?
Elizabeth: Why did you lie to me?
Alfred: Iced tea, sir -- six cubes --
nikolas: What do you know about babies, alfred?
Alfred: Uh -- pardon me, sir? Babies?
Nikolas: Yeah. I mean, you know everything about iced tea, furniture polish, restoring art. What do you know about babies, children, infants?
Alfred: Actually, quite a bit, sir. My former employer had a good-sized family. Over time, there were several infants -- they rather liked me.
Nikolas: Mm-hmm. Ok. That's -- that's good to hear because we're about to have one of our own. I just became a father.
Alexis: I thought you could use some help.
Alfred: I'll call the hardware store and order some -- plug covers?
Alexis: You got to start somewhere.
Alfred: Very good, madam.
Nikolas: Huh. I can't -- I can't think of one room in this mausoleum that would make for a good nursery.
Alexis: I think we should find the room nearest to your bedroom so that you can hear the baby cry, and maybe one adjacent to that for the nanny. And between all of us, we'll make sure that this baby has everything it needs, and you will be fine. Everything will be fine.
Nikolas: Let me ask you something. Are you really here to help me, or are you here to plead jax's case? I mean, do you really think what he did was wrong?
Jane: It breaks my heart to see you facing yet another enormous loss.
Jax: No, john was never really mine to lose.
Jane: Oh, nonsense. Technically, that baby may be nikolas', but little john's been in your heart since the moment he was born. You'll need to grieve for him -- and for the lie you told and the price you'll pay -- and then you can begin to heal.
Jax: I don't even know where to start, mom.
Jane: Oh, time, space. Reconnect with your inner faith and the power your soul connects to. You know, I'm thinking of taking a little nature trip myself. Perhaps you could join me -- wouldn't even have to be social.
Jax: No. Than, but I don't think a paddle down the amazon is -- is the right thing for me at the moment.
Jane: Uh -- wrong tempo, wrong continent. I got a call from your brother. He is kicking around botswana.
Jane: You can imagine it will only be a matter of time before jerry is knee-high in alligators, and he will need you to bail him out -- that's for certain.
Jax: There are a lot of things going on in africa at the moment. What's he doing down there? Never mind.
Jane: Sometimes seeing other people's problems can put one's own in perspective.
Jax: Well, I can't -- I can't leave right now. I mean, I don't even know when nikolas is going to pick up john.
Jane: You don't have to decide right this second. I'm just asking you to sleep on it. And as for the other reason you don't want to leave, have a little faith in carly. She may surprise us both and wait for you.
Carly: I am so angry that jax caved and admitted that john wasn't his. He's devastated, and he refuses to hold robin responsible on any level. And worse, if I stand a chance with him, I have to accept his decision.
Jason: Can you?
Carly: I have to. But I'm not letting robin off the hook. I can't believe she did this to me again. No, she did this to me. And she blew up our lives 10 years ago when she told A.J. About michael, and she practically ripped john out of jax's hands today. She ruins everyone's lives. And you know what? You and I would be married right now with three kids if it weren't for her.
Jason: Carly, you can't blame robin for what you think might happen, that's ridiculous.
Carly: Can I blame her for the pain she's causing me right now? Can I do that, jason?
Jason: You know something? You only get this angry when you're scared about sothing.
Carly: Jax and I were building something really good. And I have been happy -- can you believe that? But without john, what do we have?
Lucky: These pills are for if I have pain in my back. That's what they're for.
Elizabeth: Well, if you still have pain, why didn't you tell me? We could talk to your doctor.
Lucky: No, no, no, patrick would put me on disability. I'd lose my mind. No, thanks.
Elizabeth: These things take time.
Lucky: I don't have time. I have to work for my sanity, for our life, and if it means taking an occasional pill from time to time, I can live with that.
Elizabeth: Lucky, you're a police officer, you cannot be taking stuff. You have to handle guns and be on top of it.
Lucky: I'm not taking them on a regular basis. I -- I like to know that I have them in case that I need them.
Elizabeth: Where did you get these? I thought patrick wouldn't refill your prescription.
Lucky: I went to another doctor.
Elizabeth: What? Lucky, why?
Lucky: I'm sorry, I shouldn'T. Patrick was just being unreasonable and I don't think he had my best interests at heart, so I went around him.
Elizabeth: Baby, you have a problem.
Jason: Sam, please, you can't keep calling me.
Sam: Don't hang up. Someone's watching me. I -- I don't know who it is, but I'm -- I'm telling the truth this time, jason.
Jason: All right, I'll send stan and make you feel safe, but I'm sure, you know --
sam: No, I don't want stan. Look, I want you, jason. This is your responsibility. Jason? Jason?
why wait for aoctor
Mike: Ladies and gentlemen, in honor of this momentous occasion, the graduation-girl dance. Lulu? Hey -- uh -- take yourick. You got a room full of great guys.
Robert: Ahem. Would you mind excusing me?
Robin: I would be disappointed if you didn'T.
Robert: Thank you.
robert: I would be so honored if the daughter of my dearest friend would have this dance with me.
Lulu: Thank you. Thanks.
Dillon: I just want to say you looked fantastic up there -- now that it's just you and me.
Georgie: You mean -- you mean, me and the hottest, sexiest guy I know.
Dillon: Shh, shh, shh. Would you stop? This is about you today. I love you and I'm proud of you. Congratulations.
Robert: Look, your dad -- he's crazy about you. I know because he tells me all the time. And, ok, he disappears, he's unpredictable and stuff like that. But the only reason he ever comes back -- it's because of you.
Singer: Take it
georgie: What does -- what does it al mean?
Dillon: What, the thing about me being, like, super-sexy and hot and --
Dillon: Divorce means nothing. If anything, it's a chance for you and me to start over again. If I could ask you for one thing, it'd be that.
Georgie: It's all I want, too.
Singers: I am convinced that it's right
maxie: I just need you to steal a few more hydrocodone pills -- I'll even pay you for them.
Derek: Hey, I told you last time it was a favor. I'm not a dealer.
Maxie: Derek, come on, I need your help.
Epiphany: You need his help for what?
Maxie: I was collecting menus from the patients on my last shift and one of them hit on me.
Epiphany: Then I'll do it next time. You're pulled off floor duty.
Epiphany: Some drugs were missing from the medicine room. Since we have no proof about who took it, we're rotating staff. Whoever had access before gets cut off now. You, go to the ninth floor, stat.
Derek: Looks like you're going to have to get your drugs from someone else.
Elizabeth: This isn't good, lucky. You can't be taking this medication even once in a while.
Lucky: Ok, that's ridiculous.
Elizabeth: No, it's not. The fact that you had to lie about it is your first clue it's a problem.
Lucky: I only lied to you, elizabeth. I'm sorry about that, but you didn't really give me a choice. You asked mac not to let me back to work. You took on extra work without even telling me. So you're the one who started with the lies.
Elizabeth: You're right, I haven't given you enough credit. You see, and the thing is, is that I love you so much, and I love our family and I love our life, and I don't want anything -- anything to come in between that. I don't think you realize how addictive these pills can be.
Lucky: I am not about to get addicted to pain medication. I promise. You want me to prove it?
Lucky: Make you feel better?
Stan: We did a search of the exterior. There's no sign of an intruder, but I'll leave a couple of guards behind. You're going to be ok, sam.
Sam: Did jason -- ahem -- send any sort of a message or anything over for me?
Stan: He -- um -- just said to make sure that you were taken care of. I'm -- I'm sorry.
Sam: Just go, please.
[Knock on door]
Carly: Hey. I don't want to impose on your time, and --
jax: No, no, it's -- I'm glad you came.
Jax: You know, you should -- you should have the chance to savor every moment. I certainly am.
Carly: He looks so content, doesn't he?
Jax: Yeah. I don't think he senses anhing. He ate. Woke up form his nap, heas smiling.
Carly: He knows you love him. He can feel it.
Jax: Is that true, little boy? You know how much we love you? You know, there are big changes coming for you, john, a whole new world. But what will never change is how much carly and I love you. We might not see you for a long time, but we'll always be there for you -- just like your mama watching over you. I'm really grateful that you let me be your father, a real father, even if it was just for a little while.
Alexis: Listen, nikolas, I'm in no position to judge. I kept kristina's father in the dark because I thought that would keep her safer. I didn't do it out of spite and I didn't do it to punish him. It's just when you -- you look in this little baby's eyes and they look back up at you and they're so dependent and helpless, you'll move heaven and earth for them. It's this overwhelming sense to nurture them.
Nikolas: Yeah. That's how I felt the first time I held john. I -- I cldn't understand how I could feel so stngly about someone else's child. How can I not hate jax for this?
Alexis: Nikolas, being a parent changes you in -- in a real fundamental way. You can have jax arrested if you want to, but personally, I -- I think it's a waste of time. Because once your son is here and once you're holding him, your grudges and your sense of vengeance will just seem petty. All that matters is putting -- putting that baby first, and in a way, maybe that's what jax believed he was doing.
Nikolas: But was he right? Is my life just too dangerous?
Alexis: No one is clearer than you are about the dangers associated with being a cassadine. I know better than anyone that you will protect your son. And no one -- no one is ever going to be able to take better care of him than you are.

>> On the next "general hospital" --
luke: Sweetheart, I didn't take your money, but I know who did.
Dillon: What is that?
Lulu: The answer to my ransom note.
Sonny: I didn't know you were coming by.
Ric: You called me two hours ago.
Sonny: Did I?
Jason: I need to make sure that sam's safe.
