[Music plays]

Singer: Do I need to be invisible to just survive? Or am I foolishly wasting my time?

Elizabeth: Jason?

Singer: I try so hard to quiet my

elizabeth: Why don't you just call her?

Singer: Expensive dreams before they take me out

emily: No one said anything about being crazy. I'm talking about bipolar disorder. It's an illness that's caused by a chemical imbalance that can be treated with medication and therapy.

Sonny: Yeah, I already heard all this already. You think I'm sick, mentally ill?

Emily: I don't know, sonny, but you need to find out.

Nikolas: So how long will it take to get the test results back?

Kelly: I'll put a rush on it. You have the right to know if john jacks is really your son.

Nikolas: Yeah, I just -- I just really want to put this to rest once and for all. And if jax is the father, I wish him well. But if the paternity test shows that john is mine, I want my son back.

Kristina: What are you doing?

Sam: I'm just -- um -- missing someone, that's all. Hey. What do you got there?

Kristina: Could you read me a story?

Sam: I think that's an excellent idea. Come on. You know, this will probably make me feel better. Oh, kristina, I love this book. I used to go to the library a couple years ago and read it all the time when I was hoping to have a little girl of my own. You know what my favorite part is? I like when the prince rides in on his big, white horse to save the princess. And then the -- the prince tells the princess that he loves her. Yeah, you knew that, huh? And then the princess kisses him and says that she has loved him all along. And then they ride off into the big, white clouds --

kristina: Clouds.

Sam: On their big, white horse, all because -- what? -- The prince wanted to rescue her. But you know what? That doesn't only happen in fairy tales, kristina.

Elizabeth: Doesn't look like anybody lives here. Have you even had a meal in this apartment since sam got shot? Do you sleep here?

Jason: I don't sleep much lately.

Elizabeth: Because when you reach for her, she isn't there. I can remember the feeling when I felt lucky was gone. It's just easier to stay awake. But I didn't have a choice. You do. Sam loves you. She wants to be a part of your life, jason.

Jason: Elizabeth, you didn't come here to talk about sam.

Elizabeth: Maybe I -- um -- I probably shouldn't be here.

Jason: Why are -- why are you here?

Elizabeth: I feel like a hypocrite. I know I told you I didn't want you to help with the situation with lucky, and now he's gone back to work and he's pushing himself too hard and he's in a lot of pain and doesn't want mac to know because he's afraid he's going to get put back on disability.

Jason: Ok. How can I help you?

Elizabeth: There was a time in my life when lucky gave me back my self-confidence. I want to do that for him now. He still blames himself for jesse's death.

Jason: That wasn't -- that wasn't his fault.

Elizabeth: I know, I know, and everyone keeps telling him that, but he doesn't want to hear it, and it makes it even worse that he wasn't able to save me from manny.

Jason: But he did risk his life for you that night.

Elizabeth: But it wasn't enough. Because the truth is if you hadn't shown up, lucky and I would probably both be dead. And in a lot of ways, lucky is still flat on his back on that pier in a lot of pain, helpless. I just want to give him back his confidence. I want him to be able to feel good about himself again.

Jason: I'm still not sure what you're asking me.

Elizabeth: What if -- what if lucky could solve a crime that nobody else could figure out? Or what if he could arrest a major criminal?

Det. Rodriguez: You've been doing this all day. You ok?

Lucky: I'm a little rusty.

Det. Rodriguez: You're doing all right.

Lucky: Hmm. No, "all right" isn't good enough. I've been sitting on my butt for so long. Hmm.

Det. Rodriguez: Well, you're not going to get back in one day. Take it easy.

Emily: You're dealing with a lot of change.

Sonny: Yeah, so I would -- that means I'm changed, right? Is that a problem?

Emily: You're doing things that you don't even remember.

Sonny: We talking about alexis?

Emily: Yeah, you threatened to kill her.

Sonny: We've gone through it over and over again. Alexis needs me to be a monster now because she doesn't want me anywhere near kristina -- or ric for that matter.

Emily: What about the pasta? You threw the entire bowl across the terrace because you didn't like the way the sauce turned out.

Sonny: You ever heard of chefs? They throw food out.

Emily: You bought an incredibly expensive car you barely even drive? Jason said that you were bouncing off the walls because of this new warehouse.

Sonny: Jason told you that?

Emily: Yeah.

Sonny: So he's concerned.

Emily: Not as concerned as I am, sonny, but that's because he didn't see you digging in the garden in the middle of the night with your business suit on.

Sonny: Lainey's a shrink, right?

Emily: Yeah.

Sonny: She said I was fine.

Emily: You can be incredibly convincing. You wanted lainey to believe that you were all right and she did.

Sonny: I didn't lie to her for -- for one second.

Emily: I think it's possible that you've been covering this illness for a really long time. And these episodes that you have that jason's so worried about, that he's trying to keep me away from -- it's part of it.

Sonny: Look, I -- I told you that this has to do with how I grew up.

Emily: Not necessarily.

Sonny: I -- I've had everything taken away from me, emily. I'm doing all right! Doctor says I'm fine, I'm fine! Doctor knows best, right?

Emily: She said better than fine. Yeah, she told me to stop looking for trouble, but she also said that one lunch is not the same as a complete evaluation.

Sonny: Ok, you know what? Hold on, hold on, hold on. I didn't -- I left one thing out. I was shining lainey on a little bit. I haven't been entirely honest with you.

Emily: You can be. You can tell me anything.

Sonny: Because of what jason did, I wake up in the morning sometimes and I wonder how I could've prevented it from happening. I didn't pay attention to the business like I should have. It was mine to lose and I lost it. I miss it -- the power, the respect, the money it would bring me. I miss jason. He was my, you know, like a brother to me, he's one of my closest friends. And I know it's never going to be like it was, I just don't want to fight about it my whole life, and that's kind of what scares me. Because I'm -- usually I would be obsessed with the betrayal. But my life has changed. And you know why my life is different?

Emily: Why?

Sonny: Because you're in it.

Emily: Sonny, I'm happy about that, but --

sonny: Listen to me, ok?

Sonny: Lainey used to tell carly when she was sick to focus on the positive. That's what I'm doing, you know? The garden and the warehouse and the dock -- those are all positive things, right?

Emily: Yes.

Sonny: And I know that I'm obsessed. That's the way I've been -- my whole life I've been obsessed, you know? But it's better to obsess about a garden than to obsess about fighting with your brother.

Emily: Yes.

Sonny: And you know the only thing that makes me feel bad, is I -- I didn't think more about how it affects you. Hey -- you tell me how I can make it right.

Maxie: Hey.

Robin: Hey. Look what I just got.

Maxie: Why is carly's name on the invitation to little john's christening? She's acting like she's already married to jax.

Robin: What is jax thinking?

Maxie: He's probably not, if you know what I mean.

Robin: Well, you know, I can understand how jax could give into a bad impulse in the beginning, but there is no way that he will continue pretending to be john's father if it wasn't for carly.

Maxie: What are you going to do?

Robin: I wish I knew.

Maxie: Well, I know you'll make the right choice.

Robin: I appreciate your confidence. Although, honestly, I don't know how to make the right choice. I mean, on the one hand, jax truly loves that child, but he also has his reasons for wanting to keep john away from the cassadines.

Maxie: Yeah, they are really creepy. Nikolas isn'T.

Robin: I know, and he is john's father. I mean, he has the right to know that it's his child. Any decision I make is going to hurt someone.

Maxie: Ok, well, what if you just don't do anything? What if you let jax give john a good life, leave it at that?

Robin: With carly in the picture? I don't see how good of a life that can be.

Maxie: Well, if you want to get carly away from that baby, you're going to have to tell nikolas the truth.

Robin: But helena cassadine could be a threat. I just -- I don't know what to do.

Maxie: It's not always black and white. I mean, if you have to do something really bad to help a friend out, wouldn't you do it?

Robin: Well, it depends on the circumstances, I guess, and the friend.

Maxie: But if it's a real friend, wouldn't it be worth it?

Robin: What are we talking about now?

Maxie: Nothing. It's just really stupid and I have to go.

Robin: Maxie, listen, you can tell me, whatever it is.

Maxie: It's nothing.

Nikolas: Thank you. I appreciate your help.

Kelly: You've done a lot for this hospital. And the sooner paternity is resolved once and for all, the better off john will be.

Nikolas: Yeah, yeah, I think it'll be easier to take him away from jax now than, say, a year from now.

Kelly: I agree.

Nikolas: Hmm. If I'm the father, of course. If I'm not, I think everyone would be better off if I just get out of john's life for good.

Kelly: In my practice, I see a lot of kids that nobody really wants. It's pretty amazing to see people fight so hard for this one.

Nikolas: He'll be loved no matter where he is.

Kelly: It's good to know.

Nikolas: Well, do you have everything you need from me?

Kelly: One lock of little john's hair, one swab from the potential father, and one form to feed the computer. I'll let you know as soon as the results are in.

Nikolas: Thank you again. Thank you.

Kelly: Could you get these up to the lab as soon as possible?

Elizabeth: I don't want lucky to arrest you. I was thinking maybe there might be somebody out there that you wouldn't mind having arrested. Maybe someone you want to get a message to or -- or get out of the way? And not as in "disappear," but as in just go to jail? And not a homicidal maniac like manny, just a regular bad dude.

Jason: Just a regular bad dude?

Elizabeth: Is that a problem? Are you laughing? I can't really tell.

Jason: Well, you know, it sounds -- it kind of sounds funny. "A regular bad dude"? I don't really know what --

elizabeth: I never said I was any good at this. I just want lucky to do something that he can be proud of. It has to be something kind of significant, but obviously not -- not anything dangerous because I don't want him getting hurt again. Do you think you can arrange something like that?

Jason: Maybe. But are you sure you're being fair to lucky?

Det. Rodriguez: Still taking pain meds?

Lucky: Oh, I guess I just should've listened to you. I tried to do too much in one day.

Det. Rodriguez: You sure that's all it is?

Lucky: The -- the recoil tweaked my back a little. It just so happens that I have a few pills from my original prescription. I hate taking them, but it's better to have them around just in case.

Det. Rodriguez: So your back still isn't right?

Lucky: No, it's nothing serious. I mean, if mac finds out, he'll stick me on disability or put me behind another desk, and that's exactly what I don't need -- more sitting.

Det. Rodriguez: I hate that, too, but if you aren't ready to work --

lucky: Listen, I'm good, man. No problem. You know I'd never do anything to jeopardize my partner. Not after what happened to jesse.

Det. Rodriguez: Nobody blames you for that, all right?

Lucky: I just feel better, you know, when I'm back on the street. That's all.

Det. Rodriguez: I understand.

Lucky: So, what's going on with you?

Det. Rodriguez: Well, looks like the guy who killed john durant was also gunning for jason morgan, but he shot sam mccall instead.

Lucky: Yeah?

Det. Rodriguez: Forensics established that durant and sam were shot by the same weapon, but that's the only hard evidence we've got.

Lucky: And they think the shooter was after jason, not sam?

Det. Rodriguez: Well, why would anybody want to shoot sam mccall? But it would make more sense for someone to go after the new D.A. -- And the new mob boss.

Lucky: You got no leads on the shooter at all?

Det. Rodriguez: No. But we got to get something going soon. Next cop who nails the shooter will be some kind of hero.

Nikolas: I got one of those, too.

Robin: Hi.

Nikolas: Hi.

Robin: Was yours hand-delivered, as well?

Nikolas: As a matter of fact, it was, just a couple hours ago.

Robin: Leave it to carly to go for the drama.

Nikolas: I know. Everything seems a bit rushed, don't you think?

Robin: Why do you think that is?

Nikolas: I don't know. Jax is all over the place with this thing. One minute he's asking me to be john's godfather, and then five minutes later he takes away the invitation.

Robin: That's odd.

Nikolas: Yeah. Somehow I think helena had something to do with it. She showed up here and ruined the moment for everyone.

Robin: So you think helena is the reason that jax changed his mind?

Nikolas: Yeah, I absolutely think that's why jax changed his mind. Because jax knows how easily john could've been mine.

Carly: Yes. Ok. All right.

Patrick: The nurses are getting hotter by the minute.

Sonny: Come here. You don't have to worry about me. Ok?

Emily: I know that I've been putting pressure on you and you've been through so much upheaval. But I just want you to know you don't have to be perfect. Just be honest with me about --

[Sonny laughs]

Emily: What you're feeling.

Sonny: Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Emily: All right.

Sonny: You know -- you know what I want to do?

Emily: What?

Sonny: I want to buy a plane, right, and I want to fly all over port charles. Here. That was a joke. Just kidding. Let me -- let me show you the changes I made on the garden here. Ok?

Emily: Sure.

Sonny: Here are the blueprints. Ok -- oh, oh, oh. Oh, no, no, you shouldn't -- you shouldn't be drinking in your condition.

Carly: I'm glad you're here. I need you.

Patrick: Right here, right now? Works for me.

Carly: I'm serious, ok? This is a life-or-death situation.

Patrick: That's pretty much my job description. You look good in scrubs, but I liked you better without them.

Carly: I need you to forget that you saw me.

Patrick: I don't think that's possible.

Robin: Patrick? Hey.

Patrick: Hmm.

Robin: Who were you just talking to?

Elizabeth: When lucky and I were teenagers, we used to run away from home and we'd sleep under the docks. We were so close and so connected, and I knew then that we would always be together. And then last night I was on the docks taking a break, not wanting to go home, and there was lucky. He had created quite a scene at my work earlier, accusing me of not-such-nice things.

Jason: He still thinks there's something going on with patrick? That's crazy.

Elizabeth: I thought for a second that he was going to apologize. But he didn'T. And we just went home. I haven't felt that alone in a really long time. I just want my husband back, and not this angry, suspicious stranger who thinks everything I do is wrong. If lucky can make this bust, then maybe -- maybe he'll stop punishing himself. Maybe he'll let go of his anger, and he'll see how capable he really is.

Jason: I can't guarantee that that's going to happen.

Elizabeth: I will do anything to help my husband. Will you help me?

Ric: Oh. You ok?

Sam: Yeah.

Ric: You sure? You seem out of breath.

Sam: I'm all right.

Ric: Were you crying?

Sam: You know, the -- the love of my life just broke up with me. I -- I get to cry, ok?

Ric: Sorry. I didn't mean to intrude.

Sam: No, look, I'm -- I'm sorry. I -- didn't mean to snap.

Ric: It's all right. I know you've been going through a lot of adjustments -- you know, you and jason, getting used to sharing space with your new mother and two daughters and a stepfather.

Sam: You know, it's going a lot better than -- than I thought it would.

Ric: No, I -- look, sam, I know things are very awkward for everybody right now, but I'm sure that once you and alexis get a chance to bond, you'll be quite the mother and daughter.

Sam: Yeah, I sure hope so. What are you doing here?

Ric: Um -- I got a couple of briefs that I got to work on.

Sam: But here at home? You're -- you're going to do that here?

Ric: Yeah, I live here. And I like to work here in the afternoon, because then I don't --

[Sam sighs]

Ric: I'm not bothered by the phone and I can see the girls.

Sam: No, I -- the girls -- they're at the park, you should join them.

Ric: Yeah, but I got to work on this.

Sam: Come on, ric, it's a beautiful day outside. You know, I set up a pony ride for them. If you went there, they -- they would probably be really happy if you surprised them.

Ric: Hey, sam, why are you trying to get rid of me?

Emily: Is that another joke, like -- like the plane?

Sonny: What do you mean?

Emily: You said I shouldn't be drinking in my condition. Huh.

Sonny: What condition?

Emily: I don't know -- that's why I'm asking.

Sonny: You're not pregnant, are you?

Emily: No. You know that.

Sonny: Yeah. I mean, yeah. No, I mean -- I've been worried, you know, and -- because you've been -- I don't know. You know, you -- because you've been emotional, and maybe in the back of my mind I was wondering if -- you know.

Emily: Yeah, we haven't even talked about children.

Sonny: Well, let's not start now. Ok, put that down, put it down. Let's go to -- let's go to the garden, come on. You go see what you want in the garden, and then I'm going to finish with these blueprints and --

emily: Uh-huh.

Sonny: Ok?

Emily: Ok.

Sonny: Ok? I'll be there in a second.

Emily: All right. Don't be long.

Sonny: No, no, I won'T.

Emily: All right.

Patrick: You interrogating me, dr. Scorpio?

Robin: You were just talking to someone.

Patrick: Maybe I was on my cell phone.

Robin: I'm not imagining things, ok? I heard a woman's voice.

Patrick: Then why don't you take a look around? But if this is the way it's going to be, you being possessive and territorial, then we might have a problem.

[Robin stammers]

Robin: I am not possessive and territorial.

Patrick: Why are you giving me the third degree?

Robin: The third degree is not one question.

Patrick: One direct, two implied -- that's three questions.

[Robin sighs]

Robin: I realize that we don't have any commitments, ok, but I would just rather not walk in on you with another woman.

Patrick: Why would I be with another woman when I can be with you?

P.A. Announcer: Dr. Drake, 3406. Dr. Patrick drake, call 3406.

Epiphany: Nurse? Mrs. Randolph in 407 needs her bedpan changed.

[Jason sighs]

Jason: I shouldn't even be telling you this stuff. Ok. There's a guy, red githens, a gun dealer. I actually wouldn't mind seeing him busted, and he might have some information about the -- the rifle used to shoot sam. So this would be a great bust for lucky.

Elizabeth: Ok. It -- it sounds perfect.

Jason: Ok. Sounds perfect, but it is still a very dangerous situation, and I can't guarantee lucky won't get hurt. Are you willing to take that risk?

Elizabeth: I'm afraid for lucky every time he walks out the front door. And if he doesn't get his confidence back, he won't be able to do his job.

Jason: Ok, elizabeth, I understand, but it is a lot to take on yourself.

Elizabeth: He chose to be a cop. I am not going to stop him from living his life.

Jason: I'll take care of it.

Sam: Hi. Hey, I need you to call ric and tell him that sonny needs to see him right away.

Emily: What's going on?

Sam: It's -- it's complicated and I really don't have any time to explain right now, but I think I may have found a way to convince jason that we belong together.

Emily: Ok, I'll call ric as soon as I hang up.

Sam: Thank you.

Ric: You know, sam, if we're going to be living in the same space here, we need to be honest with one another.

Sam: You know, I really can't get into a big, deep discussion right now, ric.

Ric: Why were you so interested in getting rid of me before?

Sam: I thought -- I thought I had the place alone here, and I just -- you know, I -- I needed, I wanted to be by myself.

Ric: Why didn't you just say that?

Sam: Because you're working. I mean, would it have made a difference?

[Phone rings]

Ric: Hello?

Emily: Ric, I'm -- I'm glad I caught you. Sonny needs to see you right away.

Ric: What's the problem?

Emily: Uh -- yeah, listen, I -- I can't explain, but I just need you to get over here. It's very important.

Ric: Ok, I'm on my way.

Sonny: What -- what's that about?

Ric: Looks like you're going to have the house all to yourself after all.

Carly: Ok.

Emily: Sam asked me to get ric over here, so I called him and he's on his way.

Sonny: Why would sam care about ric?

Emily: I don't know the details, but sam says that it could help her and jason get back together.

Sonny: Have you ever known jason to change his mind about anything?

Emily: Yes --

sonny: Oh, yeah.

Emily: Actually.

Sonny: Yeah?

Emily: There have been times when my brother saw that his actions were hurting other people and he changed what he was doing. It could happen again.

Sonny: Oh, that's -- that's optimistic.

Emily: See, if jason and sam get back together, then maybe he'll accept us.

Sonny: That's very optimistic. That's what some people might call wishful thinking.

Emily: See, I'm not going to give up on my brother. If keeping ric here will get jason and sam back together, then that's what I'm going to do.

Sonny: Ok, so how are we going to keep ric here?

Emily: I was hoping you would come up with something.

Jason: So I want you to arrange for one of our people to snitch on red githens, the gun dealer, and I want lucky spencer the only cop involved.

Stan: No disrespect, but why are we cooperating with the police?

Jason: Well -- ok, look, githens might actually give some information to the cops that we can use, all right, but I want lucky spencer the only one involved. And make sure they can't trace this back to us.

Stan: All right. You got it.

[Phone rings]

Jason: Yeah?

Sam: Look, I'm sorry, I just -- I don't know who else to call.

Jason: What's wrong?

Sam: I'm at the lake house. Someone's outside, someone is after me.

Jason: All right, stay inside. I'll be right there. Every day, progressive does something that's,

lucky: Hey. Hey.

Elizabeth: Hey.

Lucky: Hey, I just -- I want to apologize to you about last night. I was a jerk to go off on you about patrick, and especially while you were at work. And I -- I should've apologized to you, because I had the perfect opportunity last night on that pier and I should've taken it.

P.A. Announcer: Dr. Robin scorpio, call 3404.

Lucky: I'm -- I'm so sorry, elizabeth.

Elizabeth: Apology accepted.

Lucky: I'm -- I also might be getting home a little late tonight.

Elizabeth: Why?

Lucky: Well, I got a tip about an arms dealer. I may go in for the bust tonight.

Elizabeth: Oh. Well, that sounds dangerous.

Lucky: Well, hey, I'm going to be all right. But it's just -- it's so great to be getting back to some real work.

Elizabeth: Be careful, ok?

Lucky: I will.

Elizabeth: Hey -- do you know how proud I am of you?

Lucky: Hey, you know what? I'll call you -- I call you later when it's over.

Elizabeth: Ok.

Lucky: Ok?

Patrick: You got plans for tomorrow?

Robin: I'm afraid I do.

Patrick: Well, change them. I want to check out a dirt track on the edge of town. They're bringing in stock cars from all over the state.

Robin: I can'T. I was invited to the christening of little john.

Patrick: You'd rather go to a christening than a dirt track with me? Think about it -- roar of the engines, the dirt, corn dogs. Ever done it in the back of a stock car?

Robin: Will you shut it?

Patrick: What? I'm asking you out on a real date here. Why do you want to go to a christening when carly's going to be there?

Robin: Because jax is my friend.

Patrick: So buy him a gift.

[Robin sighs]

Robin: Nikolas is my friend, too.

Patrick: What does nikolas have to do with anything?

Robin: Nothing. I just saw him earlier and we were talking about it. He's going, so I feel like I should go and -- I don't know.

Patrick: You're not making any sense. But when I get you this close, I don't care.

Robin: I was invited, so I'm going. Deal with it.

[Computer beeps]

Sam: Ah!

Jason: Sam?

Sam: Oh -- jason, thank god. I knew you'd come save me.

Max: Boss? Your brother's here.

Ric: Thanks.

Sonny: Hey, thanks, max.

Ric: I got here as soon as -- as soon as I could. What's the problem?

Sonny: Same thing that's -- that's always the problem -- alexis. She's getting carried away, you know, being the district attorney.

Ric: Why do you say that?

Sonny: Well, because she's doing everything she can to make my life difficult. She shouldn't have anything to do with the permits on the coffee warehouse expansion. It doesn't even come out of her office, and, you know, she's waving her citation around like it's a -- I don't know --

ric: Ok, ok, ok, you got one handy?

Sonny: Huh?

Ric: Do you have one handy?

Sonny: Yes, I do, actually. Take a look at this. Can you give us a minute, lily?

>> On the next "general hospital" --

milo: I got it.

Sonny: Fantastic.

Emily: Who's that for?

Sonny: You'll see.

Sam: I have to move back in.

Jason: I shouldn't have sent you away.

Jax: Today you will become my son in the eyes of god.

Kelly: You ready for the truth, nikolas?
