Alexis: Sam -- sam, what are you doing?
Sam: I have to find jason.
Jason: Did something happen with lucky?
Elizabeth: Yeah, we had a fight. Tend to do that a lot these days.
Jason: I'm sorry to hear that.
Elizabeth: I love him so much, but it just seems like everything I do to try to fix things is just wrong. That's because he can't change the one thing that hurts him the most. Lucky didn't save me from manny, you did.
Singer: And it's hard to believe what has happened to me but in moments like these I let go
maxie: It's working.
Lucky: What is?
Maxie: Dancing really can make the world disappear.
Singer: That I never knew you are the one I've fallen into you lift me
second singer: And when I don't know how to I might think you're right there
dillon: You get the hell away from my wife.
Carly: Perfect timing, robin's leaving. Her lectures on truth and morality can sure put a damper on an evening, don't you think?
Robin: You pull the same hateful crap over and over again. This time I'm not going to let you get away with it.
Carly: I can do whatever I damn well please and you're not going to stop me.
Robin: Watch me.
Carly: With whose army?
Robin: The truth. Maybe it's time we all heard it.
Carly: Ok, here we go, the truth about carly.
Robin: You thought no one was going to call you on it, didn't you?
Carly: Why don't you just admit that it drives you crazy that your good friend jax is with me? You warned him to stay away, but astonishingly he didn't listen to you.
Robin: Obviously, I was right to warn him.
Carly: Oh, yeah. You're always right, aren't you, robin?
Robin: You know, carly, jax is a good person, and you have got him convinced to go along --
patrick: Carly and jax have their own business. We have ours, remember?
Lulu: You know -- hey, robin is great. Why do you give her so much attitude?
Carly: Robin considers herself the chief of the morality police. She doesn't give a damn who she hurts.
Lulu: That's a little harsh.
Carly: What if she finds out that you have a secret that you want to keep? She took great pleasure in blowing michael's paternity out ofhe water. She takes great pleasure in ripping people's lives apart.
Nikolas: So your problem with robin is that she told the truth when a lie would've been convenient for you?
Diego: Get up, dillon! Get up! Come on!
Georgie: Stop it! Oh, my god, stop.
Lucas: Back off!
Diego: Get the hell off me!
Georgie: Are you ok? What were you thinking?
Dillon: What the hell is wrong with you? You are my wife! And I come in seeing you kissing him?
Jason: Manny ruiz shouldn't even had the chance to grab you. You can mention that to lucky. Tell him that it was my fault. I'm the one who screwed up by leaving manny alive when I knew that guy was a threat.
Elizabeth: But do you see how that might not go over so well with my husband? "Jason, the guy who saved me, regrets not killing manny before he was able to grab me at knife-point right in front of you." Lucky's problem is that he saw manny -- he saw manny grab me and hold me hostage and there was nothing he could do about it. That's the worst feeling in the world, being helpless. You always think that you could've fought harder, you should've done something else. It just happened so fast. Manny lifted me up and my feet couldn't touch the floor and there was nothing I could grab onto. It wasn't even the knife, it was the way he grabbed me.
Elizabeth: That's exactly the way it happened when I was raped.
Alexis: Sam, don't do this. It's too dangerous for you to be out of bed.
Sam: Please let go of me. I have to go.
Alexis: You just had major surgery.
Sam: I have to find jason.
Alexis: Please, sam.
Sam: I cannot let him give up on us. Please. Please.
[Upbeat funky music]
Maxie: Do you want to sit down?
Lucky: Are you kidding? You haven't seen anything yet.
Maxie: Lucky -- oh, lucky, are you ok? Here --
lucky: It's my back. I'm ok. I just -- I make a move sometimes, you know, and I just forget. It's ok. It's not as bad as it looks.
Maxie: And those pills help you?
Lucky: Well, I hate taking any kind of medication.
Maxie: I guess it's better than being in pain, though, right?
Lucky: Yeah. Well, it won't be an issue for long.
Lucky: I know how this is ing to sound, but I've seen it with my own eyes. Drake wants me out of commission so he can hit on elizabeth.
Maxie: I don't believe that. I mean, I do see them talking a lot, but it doesn't matter. I don't think elizabeth would fall for patrick. Come on.
Lucky: Yeah, well, I don't believe that.
Maxie: If elizabeth cheats on you, she's a fool.
Jason: I don't know much about when you were raped. I mean, I know the facts -- grabbed in the park, some photographer, right?
Elizabeth: Tom. We weren't able to charge him with my rape, but emily got him convicted of stalking her.
Jason: He's in pentonville, right?
Elizabeth: For 10 more years, god willing. Despite what it looks like, I real don't dwell on it. I don'T. And lucky helped me heal. I hardly think about it at all anymore. It's just there -- you know, there are moments that catch me off-guard with a feeling of pure terror, like when manny grabbed me.
Jason: Why didn't you say something?
Elizabeth: Because it happened so fast, and it was over so fast, and I'm not the one who got hurt. Lucky was, and I needed to take care of him.
Jason: Elizabeth, you went rough something terrible. You get to feel how you feel about it.
Elizabeth: But I'm ok. I am. And just saying it out loud with you helps a lot. I know you're not a big fan of talking, but sometimes when you put things into words, it takes away its power.
Jason: Well, then tell me the rest.
Elizabeth: The rest of what?
Jason: Why you and lucky are fighting.
Elizabeth: Oh. Hmm. We have these medical bills and it's eating lucky up inside that nikolas has to pay for them, so I took on a second job as a private nurse. Patrick arranged it, and, of course, I didn't tell lucky, which was the exact wrong thing for me to do. Because lucky saw me and patrick leaving the hospital one day and he jumped to conclusions that I was having this wild affair.
Elizabeth: I hope you sound surprised because you can't believe that I would actually cheat on my husband.
Jason: No, you wouldn'T.
Elizabeth: Thank you. I wish lucky was as sure of me as you are. That's not really fair of me to say. I know that deep down lucky, he believes in me. It's just -- he's in a lot of pain. This whole back injury thing and the frustration of not working and, really, it's my fault. I mean, I'm the one who wasn't honest. He has every right to be angry with me, just not for this whole fake romance with patrick. Oh, god, things will get better. They have to get better. I don't feel like crying anymore, so thank you.
Jason: All I did was listen.
Elizabeth: Why is this the only place you had to go?
Jason: Because I left sam tonight. I told her that we were over.
Alexis: He's doing what he believes is best for you, sam.
Sam: I know. But we were supposed to be getting married, and now, suddenly -- suddenly it's over. How could he think that that is what's best for me?
Alexis: Because his life is too dangerous.
Sam: But it always was, and I've accepted that. So why is he doing this to me now? I think -- I think I just need to see him. I need to see him. I know I can make him understand. I --
alexis: He loves you, sam. He does love you, and the best thing that you can do for him right now is to get some rest and get yourself well. Come on. Come here. It's ok. It's ok, all right?
Sam: How long was I out for?
Alexis: You were out for days, before and after the surgery. It's real difficult to sit and watch you like this, but you are given another chance, and I, for one, am very grateful for that.
Sam: I'm glad you're here.
Alexis: Me, too. When you were born, I had so many things that I wanted for you. And I would often wonder what your life was like and how it turned out. And I am so grateful that I don't have to wonder that anymore.
Georgie: I was kissing diego because this is my prom, and that's what a girl normally does when a guy goes out of his way to make an evening extra special, to be considerate --
dillon: Never mind the fact that you are married to somebody else?
Georgie: Married? Married?
Dillon: Yeah, me.
Georgie: You want to talk about marriage? You flew halfway around the world with lulu! Didn't bother to call me! Didn't bother to write me!
Dillon: You know what? I wrote you an email. Yeah, I didn't get around to sending it, ok, but I was --
georgie: Oh, let me guess -- you were really, really busy. Yeah, I can imagine! Dillon, I have talked about this prom for months and months and months with you about how important it was to me.
Dillon: I thought --
georgie: But no, no, it was far more important for you to go off on some flaky adventure.
Dillon: Would you listen to me?
Dillon: I thought I would be here on time, ok?
Georgie: "Here on time"?
Georgie: Be honest with me -- you never gave me or my prom a second thought.
Dillon: Oh, yeah, ok, so you ask him, this guy, who you wrote letters to in prison, to be your date just to tick me off?
Georgie: Get over yourself.
Dillon: No, no, you admit it, georgie. Admit it.
Georgie: Did it ever occur to you that maybe I asked diego because I like him? I'm sorry for the interruption.
Georgie: Would you like to dance?
Dillon: Georgie, don't do this. Don't be like this.
Georgie: Like what, dillon? You're the guy that came here to pick a fight.
Guy: Ok. Look, people, the floorshow's over, so grab your dates and start to gossip or, better yet, dance. You ok?
Dillon: Thank you so much for talking my wife out of going to the prom with an ex-con.
Lucas: You know, maybe if you had bothered to call, then you would've known what was going on and could've been back to stop it.
Lulu: Um, you know what? You don't have to do this, nikolas. I will be fine.
Nikolas: What's the matter?
Lulu: Besides bringing my brother as my date to the prom?
Nikolas: How many of these guys can do the viennese and polonaise waltz? Hmm?
Nikolas: Come on.
Dillon: Excuse me? You mind if I cut in?
Lulu: Whoa, what happened to you?
Dillon: No, nothing. Nothing at all. I just got into a little tiff with my wife and her boyfriend.
Lulu: Um -- do you mind?
Nikolas: Sure. Just be careful what you're getting yourself into.
Lulu: Ok, no problem. Are you sure you want to do this?
Lulu: You look like you got locked in a cage with a bunch of alley cats.
Dillon: Got into it with diego.
Lulu: Well, he looks fine. I guess you know how he survived in prison.
Dillon: Would you shut up and dance.
Georgie: I don't believe this.
Georgie: He goes halfway around the world with her, then he comes back and he dances with her here.
Diego: Ok. Look, maybe we should get out of here.
Georgie: That's a great idea.
Guy: Well, you showed her.
Lucas: Maybe you should go after her.
Dillon: Uh-uh, she left. I'm not going anywhere.
Carly: You're awfully quiet.
Jax: I'm just thinking.
Carly: You're mad at me because I said that comment to robin. Ok, I shouldn't have said it, but she overreacted, and she drives me crazy. You kn that she does.
Jax: I'm just thinking about what robin said. You know, she said that you had me convinced, and then patrick cut her off, and I'm just wondering what she meant by that.
Carly: Who knows and who cares? Jax, she blames me for war, famine, and holes in the ozone.
Jax: Robin knows the truth about john. What if she was about to say that you had me convinced I should keep the truth from nikolas?
Carly: Jax, I think your love for that baby has you paranoid.
Jax: No, I think it's entirely possible that she found out. I mean, she has access to hospital files --
carly: Trust me, if "little miss can't be wrong," if she knew, nikolas and half of port charles would know that he was john's father. I don't think robin's the problem. I think you are.
Robin: Carly is so unbelievably smug. I mean, she struts around like she's actually done something to be proud of, but really all she does is use the men that are unlucky enough to get near her.
Patrick: Blues or jazz?
Robin: And she honestly thinks that she is going to get away with this again. You know, I should've given her what she deserved and blown this whole thing wide open.
Patrick: Whatever carly's done, does it really matter right now?
Robin: Yes, it does. Carly did something years ago that was truly awful. It ruined lives, it caused total chaos, and now she's turning around and doing it all over again.
Patrick: Ahem. Any chance we could change the subject?
Robin: I'm sorry, it just -- it makes me crazy.
Patrick: Ok. Then we should talk about it. What has carly done?
robin: I was entrusted with a piece of information that carly desperately wants to keep secret.
Patrick: So, naturally, making it public would give you great satisfaction?
Robin: All right, I admit that would enjoy watching carly get hers. But the main reason to tell is that keeping this secret would hurt someone terribly.
Patrick: But telling the truth would hurt someone else?
Patrick: I'm guessing it's not carly, because if it was, you would've told the truth in a heartbeat.
Robin: Either way, someone will get hurt.
Patrick: Why do you have to say anything? Why don't you just leave it to the people involved and focus on your own life?
Robin: You mean focus on you?
Patrick: Well, now that you mention it --
robin: You sure about this?
Patrick: Shouldn't I be asking you that?
Robin: I think I know better than to expect a commitment from you. But are you comfortable with me being H.I.V. Positive?
Carly: Do you really think it's smart to cut nikolas out of john's life?
Jax: You heard him on the phone. Helena's back. She's the reason I claimed to be john's father in the first place.
Carly: I know, and I know you want to protect that little boy, but there's got to be a middle ground, jax.
Jax: I don't know.
Carly: Ok. What if, god forbid, the truth of john's paternity comes out? You do not want nikolas to be your enemy. You want him to think that you've been reasonable and understanding, not some crazy baby snatcher.
Jax: I'm going to do what's best for that little boy, and I'm not going to live my life in fear.
Carly: Did I tell you how much it turns me on when you act all strong and commanding?
Carly: And I know that you'd never, ever take advantage of me in this situation.
Jax: No, I would never do that.
Jason: I've been thinking one thing -- when sam got shot, I said, "please, god, let her live." You know, I was praying. I didn't go to the chapel, but I just kept saying it over and over in my head, "please, please let her live," and she did. She is alive and I have to keep her that way.
Elizabeth: By leaving her?
Jason: She'd be in a lot more danger if she stayed with me. She would be leverage, you know, a way for my enemies to get to me. Or she could just be standing too close to me one day or run to me at the wrong time, like she did at the metro court. I can't -- I can't watch her get shot again. I can't take the risk that she's going to die the next time.
Elizabeth: But it's not your risk to take. It's sam'S.
Alexis: I'd like to be able to tell kristina, if that's ok with you.
Sam: Do you think she'd really understand any of this?
Alexis: Probably not. She happens to like you a lot, anyway. Do you remember what she said when she wanted you to join our tea party?
Sam: She wanted us to pretend we were sisters.
Alexis: It's funny how things work out, huh?
Sam: Yeah. You know, this -- this sounds wonderful. It really does, and I'm really grateful that you are offering this. None of this really means anything without jason here. I just --
Sam: I cat imagine him not in my life right now.
Alexis: We need a doctor here. She's had brain surgery and she's bleeding. It's ok. It's all right. Put your head back. Head back, head back. You're ok.
diego: I'm really sorry.
Georgie: For what?
Diego: Well, I wanted you to have an amazing time at your prom.
Georgie: Diego, I did.
Diego: You don't have to lie.
Georgie: Lie? Diego, what about the dinner at the metro court, the corsage, the limo, the -- the prom? You know, you're even, you know, kind of a good dancer.
Diego: Well, I had a pretty good partner.
Georgie: The truth is I had a good time, and that's the last thing I ever expected.
Diego: Because dillon wasn't with you.
Georgie: The prom is a part of a life that I don't have anymore, along with my senior year. All my friends, they're living at home with their parents, calling each other about homework and boys and parties and -- I'm married, living above a diner with my husband. When dillon asked me to marry him, I said yes because I love him and I wanted to be with him for the rest of my life. It was the idea of being together and, you know, making it on our own. What I didn't know is what it would actually be like.
Diego: The reality of it was a shock.
Georgie: Yeah. It was a -- it was a major shock. I hate -- hate to admit this, but our parents were right. Dillon and I are way too young to be married.
Dillon: Never should've gone with you to the markham islands.
Lulu: No, probably not, but I'm glad that you did.
Dillon: Yeah, well, I leave georgie, I don't call, I don't write. I tried to write an email, but I don't send it, so that makes everything even worse.
Lulu: Ok, yeah, you did screw up.
Dillon: Thank you. I feel so much better.
Lulu: No -- well, georgie screwed up, too. I mean, what she did was a petty and very transparent act of revenge.
Dillon: No, but, you see, that's georgie's thing. That's what she does. When she wants to tick me off, she finds a guy to make me jealous or she just, you know, makes one up.
Lulu: Hey, don't knock made-up boyfriends. Elvis has been good to me.
Dillon: You didn't make up elvis to make your real boyfriend jealous.
Lulu: Well, mainly because I didn't have one, but I agree with you, georgie was yanking your chain.
Dillon: It's just -- it's so high school, you know? That's what I think about it, and then I realize that it is high school. She's a senior, I'm a year older than that. It's not like putting a ring on her finger and saying "I do" is going to make us more mature.
Lulu: You know, not to sound like my dad or anything, but sometimes marriage isn't a solution. It could be a bigger problem.
Dillon: Georgie and I, we got married because I was going to die, you know? We wanted to promise our love to each other, and then -- whoo, shocker -- I don't die. And months later, I'm, like, living down the very thing that everybody's been trying to tell me all along, which is -- I'm too young to be married.
Elizabeth: Before I got to know you myself, emily told me all about you. She told me you were brave and kind. She said you were a little weird, but in a good way. But she said the best thing about you is that you never told anyone what to do.
Jason: Yeah, well, now I'm the biggest hypocrite there is.
Elizabeth: No, no, you just grew up. You finally came to that place where you realize you don't like seeing the people you love get hurt. So you decided to step in and do something about it, and it will work, to a certain extent. I mean, sonny and emily and sam, they will all be safe, but they won't have you. Emily -- she's going to be really hurt by this. She already is. And I know sonny's already affected and -- but, jason, you are sam's entire life.
Jason: I can'T. I can't be anymore.
Elizabeth: What do you expect her to do with the love that she feels for you, just turn it off? What are you going to do with the love you feel for her?
Jason: I'm doing this because I love her more than anything. I caught a guy in her room this morning, someone from a rival family going after her to get to me, and it's not going to stop unless sam is out of my life.
Elizabeth: Then why can't you just let sonny take over the business again?
Jason: He doesn't want it back.
Elizabeth: What is sam supposed to do without you?
Jason: Alexis is going to step in. She -- sam wants a chance to know her mother.
Elizabeth: You're going to break her heart.
Jason: I already did.
Elizabeth: I'm sorry.
Jason: I mean, nothing has turned out the way I expected.
Patrick: Are you testing me?
Robin: You know that I'm H.I.V. Positive, only you act like it's no big deal. What's that about?
Patrick: I'm a doctor. I know what I'm getting into.
Robin: At least you think you do.
Patrick: Are you giving yourself a way out?
Robin: No, I'm just being realistic. I live with H.I.V. Every day, it's not a simple issue.
Robin: So -- I'm giving you a way out.
Patrick: What if I don't want a way out?
Robin: You are not going to give up, are you?
Patrick: No. Welcome home, adventure girl.
Robin: You haven't even begun to see adventure.
Patrick: Wait a second.
Robin: You're very prepared, doctor.
Robin: Perfect timing.
Patrick: Wait. Sometimes I hate this job.
Robin: What is it?
Patrick: An emergency.
Epiphany: 10th floor nurses' station.
Patrick: What is it?
Epiphany: It's sam mccall. She's bleeding heavily from the nose.
Patrick: I'm on my way. There are more than 29 million americans without insurance,
jason: I'm just going to ask about sam.
Elizabeth: You sure you don't want to check on her?
Jason: It's better if I don'T. How's she doing?
Epiphany: She had a setback. I had to call in dr. Drake.
Alexis: How is she?
Patrick: She's stabilizing. There doesn't seem to be any complications from the surgery.
Alexis: So what happened?
Patrick: Well, she was agitated. I gave her a sedative, she should be fine, but she might not be so lucky next time. Whatever it is that got your daughter upset, make sure it doesn't happen again.
Carly: Wait a minute, why do I always do this?
Carly: Well, combust before we even make it through the door. What about romance?
Carly: Yes, romance. We could try romance, you know?
Jax: Ok. Yes. We can more than try. This is jax. Send up a bottle of your finest champagne immediately.
Jax: Thank you.
Carly: That's a good start.
Jax: It's a great start. That's just the beginnin ooh, sit down right here. Don't move.
Carly: You could, um, touch me at any time.
Jax: Not yet. Come here. You want romance? Romance is what you're going to get.
Carly: Can we just get back to us?
Jax: Oh, hold on. Hey, be patient. We're taking our time, remember?
Carly: You're good at this.
Jax: Yeah, well, let me put on some music.
Carly: Forget romance. Just shut up and kiss me.
Robin: Hey. Nice night.
Nikolas: Yeah. You ok? Things got a little heated between you and carly there at the metro court.
Robin: Yes, don't remind me. That woman just -- she gets under my skin. If I start thinking about her, I'll get mad all over again.
Nikolas: I'm surprised patrick drake didn't manage
distract you from-
robin: After we got to his room, he got paged about five minutes later.
Nikolas: Oh. Sorry to hear that.
Robin: No, it's all right. It's a doctor's life. So what's your excuse for being out here by yourself?
Nikolas: Just waiting for the launch. Ahem.
Robin: Something bothering you?
Nikolas: Jax won't let me see john.
Robin: Jax has no right to keep you from that child. What if I told you one fig newton has more
Helena: I'm back. Oh, the accommodations are dreadful, but at least -- at least I'm close to my darling nikolas. No. No, he doesn't know I'm in port charles. No one does.
Nikolas: Although I appreciate your sympathy, jax has a legal right to keep me away from his child.
Robin: But why is it in john's best interest to keep you away?
Nikolas: Because of my family.
Bin: You would protect john from your grandmother.
Nikolas: Yes, but jax also believes that the tension between him and me, it's not healthy for john.
Robin: That's silly.
Nikolas: Maybe not. I mean, if the positions were reversed, I'm not sure I'd handle it any better.
Robin: What do you mean? You would be acting like jax?
Nikolas: Huh. I would like to believe that I would be generous for courtney's sake. But there's been so much bad blood between us, if I were john's father, I probably would keep jax away from him.
Robin: But you've just started to get to know john. It just doesn't seem right.
Nikolas: No, it doesn'T. I miss him already.
Patrick: Sam's fine. Something made her hysterical and I'm guessing it was jason.
Elizabeth: He's doing what he thinks is right.
Patrick: Yeah, leaving her flat, even though they planned on being married? Perfect timing, too, just as she's recovering from surgery.
Elizabeth: Jason feels like he's putting sam at risk.
Patrick: Ok, here's a radical thought -- if jason loves her so much, why doesn't he quit being a gangster? Problem solved.
Elizabeth: Let me ask you, dr. Drake, would you give up your career just to hang on to a woman?
Patrick: You comparing me to a mob enforcer?
Elizabeth: You're avoiding the question because we both know the answer.
Patrick: The difference is my profession isn't dangerous -- unless, of course, during an operation, I catch a glimpse of beautiful eyes over a surgical mask. Then I personally can't be responsible for my actions.
Elizabeth: How do you do that?
Patrick: Do what?
Elizabeth: Say things like that with a straight face?
Patrick: Years of practice.
Alexis: Sam, you need to listen to me now. You heard the doctor. You need to stop getting upset and pull yourself together and calm down.
Sam: Call jason, please, and just tell him --
alexis: Jason is doing what he believes is right, sam.
Sam: He loves me.
Alexis: I know he loves you, and I will call him. But you need to calm down and you need to not be upset. And you need to close your eyes and get llll, M.M.
>> Stay tuned for scenes from the next "general hospital."
>> On the next "general hospital" --
robin: I'm not sure how long I can keep this secret.
Maxie: Do you believe in signs?
Carly: Ok, bye. Hey.
Jax: What were you and jane talking about?
Jason: We need to deal with juan escobar.
Sam: Jason? Please, just talk to me.
