Lulu: Oh -- oh, my god! I am scarred for life! I am so, so scarred for life!

Luke: Do you mind waiting outside? And close the door. I'll be with you in 10 minutes.

[Door closes]

Luke: Make it 20!

Holly: Was that lulu?

Luke: Yeah. She's pretty, isn't she? Now, where were we? Mmm.

Holly: You bastard.

Elizabeth: Did you find your prescription?

Lucky: Yeah, I got it.

Elizabeth: Good.

Lucky: So, have you heard from patrick?

Elizabeth: Why would I?

Sonny: Drink before you speak.

Ric: Ok. Let me see if I can get this straight now. Sam is my stepdaughter?

Sonny: Hold on to that drink. The more you think about it, the worse it gets.

Alexis: Look, you said yourself that sam's condition isn't always fatal.

Kelly: Your daughter's blood isn't clotting. Her pressure continues to drop, and we can't give her transfusions indefinitely.

Alexis: There must be something else that you can try.

Kelly: Sorry. There's nothing else.

Alexis: You keep saying that. You keep acting as if this is terminal and there's nothing you can do. Well, I --

jan: Alexis is right. We're not just going to sit around and watch sam die.

Elizabeth: I haven't seen patrick since he left the hospital. Why do you ask?

Lucky: Well, did he say anything about why he switched me from morphine to hydrocodone?

[Elizabeth chuckles]

Elizabeth: Just protocol. Most doctors won't let their patients go home with morphine.

Lucky: I don't know. What if this hydrocodone doesn't work?

Elizabeth: Oh. Patrick looked at your chart. He said you're healing well and your pain should be diminishing.

Lucky: I hope it does.

Elizabeth: And if it doesn't, we'll make an appointment with him when he gets back in the country.

Lucky: Yeah? Where'd he go?

Elizabeth: Patrick and robin and dillon and lulu went to the markham islands to rescue robert and your father.

Holl you can't carry on like this in front of your daughter.

Luke: I'm not in front of my daughter. I sent her outside.

Holly: And after she came all this way to see you.

Luke: Well, who asked her? Look, she's out there with dillon, they're fine. Now, focus, focus. The water's cooling off.

Holly: And so am I. This bath is over.

Luke: Oh --

robin: What is going on in here?

Patrick: What, do you need to ask?

Luke: Can't a guy get some privacy in the middle of a jungle?

Holly: And you are --

patrick: Dr. Patrick drake.

Holly: Would you be very kind and pass me that towel over there, doctor?

Patrick: It would be my pleasure.

Luke: You know, robin, feel free to use that machete anytime. Daughter, you know, I'm always glad to see you, but what the hell are you doing here?

Dillon: Whoa, whoa, stand back.

[Robert coughs]

Robert: Ah, thought you could lock me up, did ya? Ha!

Dillon: What the hell are you doing here?

Robert: What are you doing here?

Lulu: I came here to get my dad.

Robert: Yeah, what did he do, have his hand in the tub looking for the soap? Dr. Drake, just what are you doing with that woman?

Patrick: Do you mean robin, or do you mean --

holly: Holly.

Patrick: Holly.

Robert: Robin?

Robin: Hi, dad.

Iris: Dr. Quartermaine, I need to bring something to your attention as chief of staff.

Alan: Can't it wait until the meeting?

Iris: I'm afraid not. Samantha mccall's blood type is ab-negative. She's been receiving regular transfusions. Our supply of ab-negative is running low. Ms. Mccall is terminal, so, in a sense, the rare blood is being wasted. I realize that she's your son's fiancee, but we need to consider all of our patients, not just one.

Alan: Who's authorizing these transfusions?

Monica: I am. That will be all, ms. Sneed.

Alan: Why didn't you tell me about this?

Monica: Because I am doing it for jason.

Alan: I understand, but it's a matter of ethics. You authorizing transfusions is no different than me doctoring dillon's crt during the epidemic.

Monica: Oh, this is a completely different situation.

Alan: Ok. You called me on the crt, I'm calling you on this.

Monica: Fine. All right, you tell your son that his fiancee is going to die -- probably tonight -- because you're cutting off the transfusions due to hospital policy.

Ric: Ok, what's worse than sam being alexis' daughter? You know, you and I have both been with alexis and both of us got her pregnant.

Sonny: Keep going, ric.

Ric: But you -- you were with both sam and alexis, and you got both of them pregnant, as well.

Sonny: Yeah.

Ric: Wow. You're right, that's much worse. But, you know, look at it this way -- I mean, in retrospect, for you it's all on the plus side. I mean, your relationships with both of those women are effectively over. I'm still married to alexis and I have a grown stepdaughter who hates my guts.

Sonny: You know, don't dwell on it, ric. It's going to be --

ric: So -- wait a minute, so let me try and get this straight. So sam is a cassadine. She's -- she's kristina's half sister. She -- and the baby that sam lost -- your baby -- would've been molly and kristina's niece. Can you imaging what thanksgiving would've been like? Don't -- no, it's ok, don't -- don't answer that. How long has sam known?

Sonny: Well, she got suspicious around the time her brother died.

Ric: Mm-hmm. Well, that would've made sense. I mean, the animosity that she felt towards alexis -- she probably felt that alexis -- she was angry with her for giving her up, but it wasn't alexis' fault. I can't imagine the two of them ever really bonding, sonny. Can you?

Sonny: Well, you know what? Might be too late. Doctor says sam is getting weaker. She may die.

Jason: I'll pay whatever you want. Just keep giving sam the transfusions until her blood starts to clot.

Alexis: I agree.

Kelly: We can't keep giving sam transfusions indefinitely. She continues to weaken.

Alexis: Just give her one more.

Jason: Please.

Alexis: Give her one more. If that doesn't work, we'll think of something else.

Alexis: She's so pale.

Jason: She's a lot stronger than she seems. You know, she's been fighting all her life. When I was sick, she fought for me. I just wanted to give up, but she was relentless, she kept me alive. Now it's my turn to fight for her.

Alexis: Sam believes that you're the best thing that ever happened to her. In this moment right now, I understand why.

Alexis: Kristina was weak just like this before her stem cell transfusion. I think it's the body's way of conserving energy until --

jason: We shouldn't talk about kristina.

Alexis: I gave her up because I had to, not because I didn't love her.

Monica: Oh, jason --

jason: Yeah?

Monica: Excuse me. Alan would like to talk to you.

Jason: Ok. Hey.

Alan: Hey. This is not about sam, it's about her transfusions. You know that sam has a very rare blood type, and she's using much more blood than we anticipated.

Jason: I already told dr. Lee I'll pay whatever it costs.

Alan: Jason, it's not about the money. It's the fact that we're running short on sam's blood type.

Alexis: What? Wait a -- wait a minute. You're denying a patient essential care that she can pay for?

Alan: I am just doing my job --

alexis: No, this is -- nothing you can say -- dr. Quartermaine, listen to me. If you deny my daughter a transfusion now or any time --

alan: Sam's your daughter?

Alexis: I will sue this hospital --

emily: Ok, everyone, stop! Listen, I have an idea to help sam.

Elizabeth: Ok, it's a little complicated, but this is what's going on. Your father had a $50,000 bounty on his head in the markham islands, so robert came back to port charles to extradite luke. But before luke could manage, he went back to the markham islands to rescue holly. And now holly and robert and luke are lost someplace in a jungle in the markham islands with a $500,000 bounty on their heads.

Lucky: And my sister went to rescue him?

Elizabeth: Oh, she's the one who organized the whole rescue after she and dillon found the notice on the internet.

Lucky: Why didn't she touch base with me first?

Elizabeth: Because she doesn't want to make you worry.

Lucky: If my dad is in trouble, it should be me dealing with it, not my kid sister.

Elizabeth: But she's not by herself. She has patrick and robin and dillon.

Lucky: Two doctors and a film student? A lot of good that's going to do lulu when she runs into special agents or bounty hunters or whatever nut cases that are after that money.

Elizabeth: You know what? Your sister is looking for your father. At some point, she is going to find him, and you know lulu's more than capable of protecting --

lucky: You know what? My dad is too busy reliving his glory days to protect anyone, all right? Lulu's nothing but a kid, dillon is green as corn, and robin has no survival skills, and patrick -- patrick -- what -- what is he even doing with them? I mean, why is he trying to play hero all of a sudden? Who's he trying to impress?

[Phone rings]

Elizabeth: Hello?

Emily: Elizabeth. Hi. Listen, sam needs plasma right away, and I know you're o-negative.

Elizabeth: Yeah, I'll come down and give blood.

Emily: I know this is lucky's first night home.

Elizabeth: It's ok. It's an emergency.

Lucas: So the good news is I'm supposed to go to a prom, and the bad news is I'm going to be a chaperone.

Maxie: How did that happen?

Lucas: Well, the teachers call the alums back every year to help out.

Maxie: Are you going to take a date?

Lucas: Well, if I do, it'll be a boutonniere and not a corsage.

Maxie: How do you think your mom's going to feel about that?

Lucas: Well, ever since my dad died, she's been -- she's been a lot more accepting that I'm gay. I think his attitude really helped.

Maxie: You really miss him a lot, huh?

Lucas: Yeah, all the time.

Maxie: It's weird, you know, how, like, nothing really changes. I mean, on the one hand, there's, like, this huge empty space where the person you loved should be, but -- I don't know, do you ever get mad that your father died?

Lucas: Sometimes. It's just so unfair.

Maxie: That's how I feel about jesse. I feel like he was cheated out of life, and I was cheated out of the time we should've had together. I just -- I really want someone, somewhere, to pay.

Alexis: I'm glad you're here. It has to do with sam.

Nikolas: Yeah, I'm -- I'm glad to help, but why are you --

alexis: Nikolas, I'm just going to blurt it out because there's really no point in being delicate and I just don't have the time. You know that little girl that I told you that I gave up for adoption and I told you she di in a car accident?

Nikolas: Yes.

Alexis: She didn't, it's sam. There.

Nikolas: What?

[Alexis sighs]

Nikolas: What -- what, you're telling me that sam mccall is your -- is your daughter, the daughter that mikkos told you was dead?

Alexis: Yeah. Sam and jason just told me. Well, they figured it out a few months ago and they just told me.

Nikolas: They -- well, if they -- if they would've just told you sooner -- I mean, alexis, she's --

alexis: I don't have time to deal with anything right now. I just have to focus, focus on her right now because she's critically ill.

Nikolas: I'm sorry, I'm sorry, come here. We'll figure it out.

[Music plays]

Georgie: Here you go, sir.

Man: This -- this burger's well-done. I -- I ordered rare.

Georgie: You did?

Man: I'll need an ax to cut that.

Georgie: I -- I'm sorry. Um -- I'll take it back, I'll get you another one.

Man: You know, you haven't gotten one thing right since I sat down here, and if you think I'm paying for that meal, you are sorely mistaken.

Diego: Excuse me. Is there -- is there a problem here? Because, if you want, I can help you cut something.

Mike: Excuse me, excuse me. What's -- what's going on here?

Diego: Well, I think this guy's trying to stiff you, mike.

Mike: Uh -- look, the gentleman hasn't even touched his dinner. Sir, how can we make this right? I would like -- what -- what was that all about?

Georgie: It's my fault, mike. I'm sorry. I -- I messed up his order. I've been messing up all day.

Mike: All right, honey, if you need to take a break, take one, and you -- take it easy. We can't afford to be running customers off here, all right?

Diego: Hey, I was just trying to help.

Singer: Just the two of us against the world

georgie: I'm sorry I got you in trouble.

Diego: Listen, can you tell me what's going on?

Georgie: Dillon left me.

Luke: Lulu, why are you not in port charles studying geometry?

Lulu: This is a rescue. Can't you tell?

Luke: Do I look like I need to be rescued?

Dillon: This is all over the internet.

Luke: Oh, yeah. Well, the place is more high tech than I expected. This is also splattered all over the island.

Lulu: Well, you're in danger, dad.

Luke: That's why we're hiding out, cupcake.

Holly: I can't believe the bounty is only $500,000.

Robert: When you consider the state of the dollar, it is kind of outrageous.

Luke: Yeah, we're worth at least three times that.

Patrick: Can I ask you something?

Robin: Will you guys listen to yourselves? People are gunning for you. You're in a strange place with no money, no resources, nobody to help you.

Lulu: Yeah, yeah, and you're not as young as you used to be.

Robert: Hey, hey -- I'm as sharp as ever, thank you very much.

Luke: I'm sharper.

Robert: We got ourselves out of jail. We -- we didn't get into any trouble.

Luke: That's right, and we've got our escape planned.

Robert: Right.

Luke: Haven't we, holly?

Dillon: Whoa, ok --

robert: Holly?

Luke: All right, the party's over. Three may be a crowd, but seven is an ugly mob!

Robert: Look, we appreciate the concern, we really do, but everything's fine.

Luke: That's right. Now, when waldo gets here, you're all going to get on the plane, you're going to fly to the airport and take the first flight back to the states, where you will tell everybody you didn't find us.

Robert: Tell them we're dead.

Robin: Oh, that is yo specialty, isn't it?

Luke: Tell them whatever you want. But you've got to get the hell out of here -- before you get hurt or before we get caught.

Emily: Sonny, sam needs your help. I'm sorry to interrupt.

Sonny: No -- hey, you know what? I told him about sam and alexis.

Emily: Sonny, alexis is with sam now. Sam's getting weaker. She needs more transfusions, but the hospital is running out of her blood type.

Ric: Ok, I need to get to alexis.

Emily: Hey, your blood type is o-negative -- that means that you're a universal donor.

Sonny: I'll give sam blood, I'll do whatever I have to do -- pay for -- can we pay for anything or not?

Emily: Sam's already had more than her share of the available supply, and since the doctors already think she's terminal --

sonny: They think the transfusions are a waste of time?

Emily: Mm-hmm.

Sonny: Does jason -- does jason know this?

Emily: Yeah. I was there when -- when my father told him.

Sonny: What if your father's wrong? What if she can get through this? Or even if -- if he's right and she doesn't get through it, jason and alexis need to know that they did everything they could to save her.

Monica: So at least we're able to continue sam's transfusions -- at least short-term.

Jason: Oh, thank you.

Monica: No, don't thank me, thank emily. She's the one that came up with the idea for the blood drive. Take care.

Jason: Thanks.

Nikolas: So it turns out that my blood is a perfect match to sam's, but I guess that doesn't surprise you, does it?

Jason: Thank you for helping her.

Nikolas: I did it for alexis. She needs to know that she did everything she could.

Jason: Sam's still alive, nobody's giving up.

Nikolas: Well, sam and alexis could've been enjoying each other these past few months, but I'm going to go ahead and guess that you pressured her into keeping silent. Your dislike for alexis -- or whatever it is -- may have cost her and sam the only chance theyad to spend time together as mother and daughter.

Laundry's not new.

Jason: Actually, sam made her own choice.

Nikolas: Well, that's called passive-aggressive. See, you may not have said anything directly to her, but I'm sure you made it very clear to sam that you expected her to keep the secret. And she did, and sam never got a chance to have a relationship with her mother, and now she's dying from a bullet that I'm sure was meant for you. Hold on one second. What is it with you? You don't get to be with your family, so no one else can, either? You took -- you took michael from A.J., You kept sam from alexis. Are you that selfish or is it about control for you? You get to decide what's best for everyone based on what's best for you?

Jason: Thanks for the blood.

Nikolas: I suppose you heard all that, hmm? You think I'm wrong?

Maxie: No, I think you're angry -- just not at jason.

Alexis: You once asked me if I ever thought about the daughter that I gave up. If I remembered her birthdays or wondered how she turned out. After I left the clinic, I went back to school and there was this little brown church right next door and i would -- I would go there every day and I would sit there for what felt like hours, trying to imagine the life that I -- I wanted for her, and then I'd try to wish it so. I imagined first steps, first words, first birthdays, the sweet 16s. They surrounded her in love. And she was self-confident and she was happy. And as soon as I was satisfied that I had created a life for her that was better than the one that I could've given her -- better than the one that I had -- I stopped going. And I went back to school and I studied and I studied and I busied myself so much that I wouldn't have to think about my feelings at all. I didn't want to feel anything at all. And I didn't feel anything for a long time. It took me a long time to believe that I could be a good mother. And I know that I don't have the right to ask anything of you. But if you could just open your eyes, you will see the face of a woman who knows how to do that now. If you will just wake up, I promise to try to be the mother that I couldn't be then.

[Music plays]

Georgie: Dillon wants glamour, dillon wants excitement, and he's not getting it. He is living above kelly's with his wife. He -- he wants to be the hero that rushes off on this big adventure. He didn't even invite me.

Diego: What, did he just run out on you?

Georgie: It's not like I could've gone. I have to go to classes if I expt to graduate in june, and prom. He -- he completely forgot about prom. He's not going to be back in time -- it's may 22. You know what? What's prom when youan, you know, go rush off in the jungle with lulu?

Diego: Has he called you?

Georgie: No. Of course not. Luke wouldn't do that, and that's dillon's hero. Who cares who gets left behind? I worked so hard for those tickets. I worked three extra shifts --

diego: Well, then go. I mean, take one of your friends. I know -- people do that. Just go!

Georgie: Diego, prom is the biggest date of the year. The last thing you want to do is take your married-but-dateless friend.

Diego: Look, if you ask me, forget dillon, ok? The prom is too important to you. I don't think you should miss it, ok? Think about it.

Georgie: Will you go with me?

Singer: I think I'm in the moment just the two of us

robin: We came all this way to save your sorry butts and you're throwing us out?

Robert: We are trying to protect you.

Luke: Right. Don't you have patients to take care of? And you -- shouldn't you be operating on somebody?

Robin: Oh, he's operating, all right.

Robert: Look, we -- we do appreciate the concern, but don't you have a transplant or two you need to perform? And shouldn't you be doing something worthwhile other than wasting your time with somebody like me?

Luke: And, young spielberg, don't you have a film career to worry about, and what about your wife? I'll bet she's wondering where the hell you are. And my daughter should be doing homework.

Robert: See? Everything's fine, you don't need to worry about us.

Luke: So, have a nice flight back, and with any luck, you won't get "three caballeros" as your in-flight movie.

Lulu: You know what? You are so right. What was I thinking? I am -- I am luke spencer's daughter. I am not supposed to care if you disappear on me, especially considering that is the only part of our relationship that I can depend on. I'm -- I'm not supposed to care if something horrible happens to you. I'm not supposed to worry or get upset, I'm supposed to be cool. So what if you're stranded in a jungle with some heartless con woman or if bounty hunters are coming after you or if your so-called best friend's trying to turn you in for 50 grand? I am supposed to fly home and not give a damn? Well, guess what -- I give a damn. You are my father, and the only father that I have, ok, and I don't care if I cramp your style. I love you, so get over it.

Robin: What she said.

Alexis: You know?

Ric: I'm so sorry. After everything we did to try to search for your daughter, she was right here all along.

Alexis: You know, that death certificate was a huge red flag that my father wanted me to find so that I would -- I'd give up the search -- just like I gave up my baby.

Ric: Ok, we don't need to start thinking that way. Don't punish yourself for something you couldn't change or control.

Alexis: Why would he do something like that? How could one lonely, abandoned child possibly hurt the cassadines?

Ric: You didn't abandon sam.

Alexis: It sure feels that way. Do you know that we've had one conversation as mother and daughter? I sure hope that it's not the last.

Sonny: I'm here to help.

Kelly: We're monitoring sam closely. When her pressure falls below 80/40, it's time for another transfusion.

Elizabeth: Are they helping?

Kelly: They're a stop-gap measure. Sam is getting weaker.

Elizabeth: Is there anything I can do to help?

Kelly: If the family asks about sam's prognosis, be honest. You don't have to tell them that she's dying, but don't offer false hope.

Elizabeth: Ok.

Kelly: Ok.

Jason: Hey.

Elizabeth: Hey.

Jason: You're on duty tonight?

Elizabeth: Yeah. Yeah, I came in to give blood and I decided to stay. I figured it might help if someone familiar was assigned to sam.

Jason: Yeah, it does. Thanks for doing that.

Nikolas: I don't know exactly how alexis feels, but I can guess. I thought I was going to be john's father, and then suddenly I wasn'T. I believe that that emptiness where a child goes -- I don't think that ever goes away.

Maxie: Well, I'm really sorry. I know how much you wanted john.

Nikolas: Yeah, I did, more than I realized at first. And you're right -- on some level, I am still angry at the situation. But there's nothing I can do about it.

Maxie: Well, you can always talk to me.

Nikolas: I just -- I think I just need to accept that that's how life works. We all lose people we love, don't we? Excuse me. Hey, I -- I got your message. Alexis beat you to it. I was a match and gave blood.

Emily: Thank you, nikolas. I wish we could do more.

Nikolas: Yeah. So, how is sam?

Emily: Uh -- she's getting weaker. I'm worried about jason.

Nikolas: Is he still angry at you for being with sonny?

Emily: You know, that whole argument seems so petty and pointless right now.

Nikolas: In other words, you refuse to hold a grudge in the face of tragedy. You always were like that. I'm glad to see at least that hasn't changed.

Lulu: I'm sorry I dragged you into this.

Dillon: You didn't exactly drag me. I mean, look, flying halfway across the world to save your father -- that's, like, really cool and courageous, even if luke is too much of a raging jackass to realize it. I got to be honest with you -- you rock. You really do, and I mean that. But what's more than that, I think, is you matter.

Lulu: Thanks.

Dillon: Oh, yeah, I think --

lulu: Thank you.

Lucky: Hey, thanks for coming over.

Det. Rodriguez: Nice to see you up and around. What do you need?

Lucky: I need you to do me a favor. I don't want nobody knowing about this. I can't believe I'm even going to say this, but I think -- I think my wife is having an affair.

Det. Rodriguez: Are you sure? I mean, I know a lot of cops that have that problem, but elizabeth?

Lucky: Listen, I know it's the doctor. It's patrick drake. He's all over her at the hospital. I -- I see them out in the hallways laughing and whispering. I -- they've even left the hospital more than once. All right, elizabeth -- she's been lying about where she's going at night. I found a note in her purse from him about a meeting place.

Det. Rodriguez: I'm sorry, lucky.

Lucky: I need proof. I want you to follow elizabeth. I want you to just tell me where she goes, who she sees. Drake -- he's out of town, but you can go and you can check out this address.

Det. Rodriguez: You sure you want to know what I find out?

Elizabeth: Sonny, they're ready for you.

Sonny: All right.

Alexis: Sonny -- thank you for doing this.

Sonny: You're welcome.

Alexis: What am I going to tell kristina?

Ric: Oh. We'll deal with that when the time comes. Right now, you need to focus on your daughter sam, see that she gets better.

Ric: Oh, mayor floyd.

Mayor floyd: I've been trying to reach you for hours. We've got about 10 minutes to get to the courthouse.

Alexis: Why?

Mayor floyd: The press conference that you insisted on, remember? I'm just about to introduce you as the new interim district attorney.

[Jason sighs]

Jason: The doctors say you can't fight anymore. I don't believe them. Maybe I'm wrong. Hell, maybe I want you to have those transfusions so I don't have to let go. Maybe I'm being selfish because I don't want to say goodbye.

Maxie: Dr. Quartermaine, I'm really sorry to bother you with this, but this interoffice mail is marked "urgent" and it has robin's room number on it but not her name. I'm not sure --

monica: Oh, yeah. Well, that happens all the time. Just get the name of the doctor and send it back.

Maxie: Ok.

Monica: Ok.

Maxie: Thank you.

Robert: It's right two.

Luke: At's what I just did.

Robert: Uh-uh. No, you did right four, back one.

Luke: No, I didn't!

Robert: What does it matter? The bloody thing's going to be empty, anyway. I mean, it's a metaphor for life -- high hopes and anticlimactic endings. My turn. Ah.

Luke: Well, you know -- you never did used to be this bitter.

Robert: You did. But, you know, I find your daughter quite impressive.

Luke: I know. She's amazing.

Robert: Too bad she's mad at you.

Luke: Well, yours is not exactly thrilled with you.

Robert: I've lost my place.

Luke: Well, here, let the master at it. You do what you do best -- drink.

Robert: You know, I'll -- I'll never forget the day I met this compelling, captivating 7-year-old who turned out to be my daughter. I didn't know what to make of her. Still don'T. Here's a sequence -- try right four, back three, and then go forward another half.

Luke: Wrong again.

Robert: You know, I always swore that I'd stay dead just to protect my daughter. But I'm wondering now whether I did that just to avoid responsibility.

Luke: Lulu was always laura's project. I just showed up every once in a while and took her ice fishing.

Robert: I mean, how did we get into this mess, and still have two children who -- who actually expect something from us?

Luke: It sure wasn't my plan.

Robert: I -- I can deal with torture and I can deal with firing squads and man's inhumanity to man. But I'm telling you, you show me my daughter with disappointment and hurt on her face, and that just kills me.

Luke: Yeah, but you know what your mistake was? Pretending to be dead. See, the best thing that you could've done was to hide in plain sight -- that's what I did. I stayed in the same town. I never showed up, I never called, never remembered her birthday. Hell, I didn't even remember how old she was. And that way, you break her little heart a little bit at a time.

Robert: But your kid still loves you.

Luke: So does yours.

Robert: Damn.

Luke: Double damn.

Alexis: I'm in the middle of a family emergency.

Mayor floyd: Now, you see, this is why I will never understand why john durant named you as his successor. It would be better for everyone involved if I just appoint the man I have in mind.

Ric: Excuse me, mayor floyd. Just to be clear, my wife's daughter is gravely ill. So if you want to take her job away from her -- I mean, that's fine, you can do that, but I'd consider the political fallout. You know, a district attorney is fired because she can't make it to a press conference during a family emergency? How is that going to play out in the polls?

Mayor floyd: There is no need to make threats.

Ric: Oh, nobody's making threats, sir. But you got five minutes to get over to that courthouse and make the announcement, make sure we hear about it on the news, and don't bother us again tonight. Thank you.

Alexis: Thanks, counselor.

Ric: Anytime.

Sonny: How is she?

Mike: You can see for yourself. Jason does need you. Try not to let him down.

>> Stay tuned for scenes from the next "geral hospital."

>> On the next "general hospital" --

robert: You are never going to get that open.

Luke: Oh --

patrick: You are very beautiful.

Nikolas: So what's got you so distracted?

Alexis: Did you get the results of sam's blood test?

Elizabeth: I'm going to start her next transfusion.

Jason: What's wrong now?
