Alexis: Thank you so much. You guys did a great job. I'm really sorry that it fell on your foot.

Ric: Sweetheart --

Alexis: You should put some ice on it. Maybe --

Ric: Hey -- honey?

Alexis: Hi, honey!

Ric: Hello? Hi. Hi.

Alexis: Partner! Partner!

Ric: What's this all about?

Alexis: What do you think? What do you think of our new home office?

Ric: You want to practice law in the living room?

Alexis: Think of the advantages -- you never have to leave home.

[Lucky pants]

Lucky: The last thing I need is a lecture.

Elizabeth: No lecture here. If you can handle it, so can I.

[Knock on door]

Sam: Jason? Oh. Did you forget your key --?

Bernie: Sorry, Ms. McCall, I have to drop off some contracts. I didn't mean to wake you.

Sam: No, it's ok. I must've fell -- fell asleep on the couch last night. I'll take --

Bernie: I have to speak to Jason personally.

Sam: Jason never came home last night.

Carly: Well, it's a pretty bad bruise. How you feeling?

Jason: It's ok. I'm fine.

Carly: How'd you sleep?

Jason: Ok.

Michael: Hey! What are you doing here so early? Are you going to drive me to school? Can Uncle Jason please drive me to school instead of Leticia?

Carly: I think Jasonís a little busy this morning.

Jason: No, it's ok. I can -- I can take him.

Michael: Oh. What happened? That looks like it hurt.

Jason: Just a little fight, nothing to worry about.

Michael: Cool, a fight.

Carly: No, it's not cool. It's not even a little cool.

Michael: Who'd you fight with?

Carly: You know what? Get the book bag.

[Knock on door]

Carly: You got to get out the door. Hello?

Jax: Hey.

Michael: Hey, Jax. Guess what -- Uncle Jason got in a fight.

Jax: Oh. Imagine that.

Michael: Nobody beats Jason. I bet the other guy's a real mess.

Robert: Well, all access to Holly is completely restricted. The only person allowed is her lawyer. Yeah, I'll talk to you soon.

Tracy: Well, I knew it. Luke's gone after Holly.

Dillon: I just want to say how sorry I am for -- for being a doofus. A -- a jealous -- yeah, a jealous doofus, you know, overreactive and -- and stubborn and stupid and -- what? What?

Lulu: Yeah, that'll win her over -- not.

Dillon: Well, I'm apol-- oh. All right, I'm -- she's mad at me, I'm apologizing. It's what you do, you say you're sorry.

Lulu: But it's not about you being a doofus. You followed your heart.

Dillon: Into a buzz saw.

Lulu: Do you want Georgie to forgive you?

Dillon: Yes.

Lulu: Then you need my help. It's going to require a little bit of romance.

Dillon: Like what? What, flowers, diamonds?

Lulu: No.

Dillon: I can't afford --

Lulu: No, no, no, nothing material. What Georgie needs is your heart, ok? You just -- you start slow and you tell her how you respect her principles and how it was crazy for you to tell her who she could and couldn't be friends with.

Dillon: All right, yeah. Yeah, respect -- that works.

Lulu: Right?

Dillon: And that's good, and it's true.

Lulu: Ok. Then you start to build, and you tell her how you never would ever want to hurt her or what you guys have, or how one night without her is one night too many. You tell her that you missed her so much that it hurt.

Dillon: Ok, but don't you think that's, like -- like, a tad sweet? You know what I mean? No, it's true, like, it's all true, but it's kind of making my teeth hurt a little bit. You know what I mean? Like, guys like me -- they don't say that our age.

Lulu: Oh, Dillon, generally, guys our age don't channel Cary Grant.

Dillon: Clark Gable.

Lulu: Whatever. The point is, is you can never be too sweet when you're fighting for the woman that you love. Honestly, I would really want Elvis to say it to me.

Dillon: Uh, El--

[Dillon snickers]

Dillon: Um -- Lulu, Elvis is a fictional character that you created to get nosy people out of your love life.

Lulu: Look, it doesn't matter. The point is if Elvis were real and he screwed up as big as you did, I would want him to say the same thing.

[Glasses clink]

Ric: Well, this has got to rank in one of your top-three worst ideas ever.

Alexis: What do you think? We should move it closer to the window?

Ric: No, I think we should move it closer to the Harbor District in an office building where it belongs. You want to tell me exactly what the point of all this is?

Alexis: We don't have an office anymore.

Ric: Uh-huh.

Alexis: Our leases respectively are up. We're partners, we have to work together, and until we get our own space, I was trying to be creative.

Ric: Well, you might want to mention it to your partner and husband.

Alexis: All right, I'm sorry. I -- I didn't put you by the window because you have sensitive eyes, and I thought it would bother you while you were working. If you want to turn the table around, you can just turn the whole desk.

Ric: You really gave it that much thought?

Alexis: All right, if you don't like the photos, you can just move the photos --

Ric: No, and you know what? I don't think I'm going to have to be reminded of what you look like, because apparently I'm going to be sitting every day, my entire day, staring across this monstrosity at you.

Alexis: All right, well, that's kind of mean. And don't yell, you're going to wake the baby.

Ric: Good, I'll mention that to our clients as they're sitting casually, waiting for us in our living room.

Alexis: All right, listen, listen, listen -- just look at the bright side. We don't have to spend money on commuting.

Ric: Oh.

Alexis: We can go to work dressed like this.

Ric: Ha!

Alexis: We'll be near the children all the time.

Ric: Oh, gosh! Look -- I'm doing a happy dance.

Kristina: Color with me.

Alexis: Honey, we're working.

Kristina: No, you arenít.

Ric: It's going well so far.

Kristina: I want you to color with me!

Diego: Hey -- here's some more coffee.

Maxie: No, I don't want any more coffee, ok? I don't want you near me. I don't want anything to drink. You were lucky I didn't call the cops when you followed me back here.

Diego: I live here, and I work here.

Maxie: Whatever.

Georgie: What's going on?

Diego: Well, I ran into your sister at an after-hours club and I'm pretty sure she was drinking all night.

Maxie: What was your first clue?

Diego: The fight that you started with that cage dancer.

Georgie: Thank -- are you ok?

Maxie: I've never been better.

Georgie: Maxie, what were you doing in a place like that all night by yourself?

Maxie: You heard Diego -- I was picking a fight with a cage dancer. I mean, you're thinking you should call dad right now, that would be the responsible thing to do?

Georgie: Actually, I -- you kind of owe me. I kept him pretty busy all night. Otherwise, he definitely would've been out looking for you.

Maxie: Kept him busy how?

Georgie: Dillon and I had this -- this major, major blowout, ended up crying on his shoulder all night. I kept him pretty distracted, and now I -- I wish I hadnít. Maxie, I know that you miss Jesse, and --

Maxie: Georgie, we all grieve in our own way.

Georgie: Can you give me a hint, Maxie? Where this is going to go; how you're going to hurt yourself this time?

Elizabeth: Maybe it's too much too soon.

Lucky: No pain, no gain, right?

Elizabeth: At least you're motivated.

Lucky: I have to do this myself.

Elizabeth: No, baby, actually, you donít. You don't have to do this yourself.

Emily: Whoa, ok, why are you out of bed?

Lucky: I was done, anyway.

Elizabeth: Come on, let's get you back in bed. Come on. Ok, let go. Tell him to take his rehab slowly. Physical therapy will only allow him to sit up, but you know Lucky.

Lucky: Ok.

Elizabeth: Ok. All right.

Emily: I need a few minutes alone with your husband.

Bernie: Yes, the transition will be seamless. Mr. Morgan's a step ahead of us. I got to go. I'm sorry, Ms. McCall. I know that this must be overwhelming -- all the phone calls and the deliveries.

Sam: Yeah, yeah, I get it, Bernie. People want to pay their respects to Jason, show their loyalty, and not to Sonny. I still would like to know where Jason is.

Bernie: I'm sure Mr. Morgan will be back soon.

Sam: No, I don't think you're that sure of anything.

Bernie: Should I have the guards remove some of the stuff --

Sam: No. Don't bother. I can't stand to be here anymore.

Bernie: Uh -- Ms. McCall --

Jason: Buddy, you know your mom doesn't like it when we talk about fighting.

Michael: Sorry, mom.

Carly: It's ok. You know, if you leave now, you may make it to school on time.

Jax: Hey, you know, Michael, I -- I brought this book for Little John. I thought maybe you could read it to him when he comes home.

Michael: Sure.

Jax: It's about a little duck.

Jason: He just comes over whenever? Stops by?

Michael: Little kids like that.

Jax: Yeah?

Carly: You guys should get going.

Michael: I'll practice reading it to Morgan.

Jason: Thanks for the couch.

Carly: Anytime.

Jason: All right, buddy, come on, get your stuff.

Jax: Great.

Carly: All right, Michael, say goodbye to Jax.

Michael: Ok.

Jax: See ya --

Michael: Bye, Jax.

Jax: See ya. I'm sorry -- I'm sorry to interrupt. I know you got things to talk about with Jason.

Carly: You know what I like about you?

Jax: What?

Carly: How you resist the urge or the temptation to tell me that I need to stay out of this war between Jason and Sonny. It's a really good instinct; you should stick with it.

Jax: That's not why I'm here.

Carly: Then why don't you tell me why you're here?

Robert: Tracy, your paranoia's showing. Holly's locked up tight. And if I know my good friend, the Markham Islands are the last place on this planet he wants to be. They've got a lot of questions. They don't care how they get their answers.

Tracy: Your "good friend" hasn't been your good friend since you stole Holly from him.

Robert: I didn't steal Holly.

Tracy: That's your version.

Robert: Luke was dead -- well, we thought he was -- she was pregnant, I married her.

Tracy: You did the honorable thing. But I am assuming that there was money involved somehow.

Robert: It's no secret I like to get paid for what I do, but there was a time when I was capable of a chivalrous act or two. For a while, that good deed was rewarded -- Holly fell in love with me.

Tracy: Much to Lukeís dismay.

Robert: Hmm, it's no secret he wasn't too happy about it. I guess if Laura hadn't come back, he might never have forgiven me.

Tracy: That's how it always is with Luke -- everything begins and ends with Laura.

Robert: Hmm. Seems to be.  Oh, say it isn't so. You haven't gone and fallen in love with your husband?

Ric: Look at how well you did, sweetheart. You know, Alexis, my witness is very well-qualified.

Alexis: Judge Roland puckers at the hint of any nonexpert witness. It would be s-t-u-p-I-d to put him on the stand because the defense is going to tear him to shreds.

Ric: Well, he's expert enough, and only an I-d-I-o-t would think that I didn't consider the judge's bias into my strategy.

Kristina: Who's the idiot?

Ric: Hand me the periwinkle.

Alexis: All right, I'm just not going to give you my expert opinion next time.

Ric: Well, hey, it's amazing that I won a case before you came along.

Alexis: I adore you. I have more faith in you than you do. But we're in front of this judge in two days, honey.

Ric: Really?

Alexis: Two days, and we can't argue. We don't have time for that. Besides, we're partners, ergo my opinion matters just as much as yours, and in this case, your opinion just happens to be flawed.

Ric: Kristina, honey? Could you go in your room and -- and reorganize your doll shelf one more time? I know how upset you get when it's not perfect.

Kristina: Ok!

Ric: Ok.

Alexis: Was that a subtle suggestion that my daughter might be the tiniest bit obsessive?

Ric: Oh, no, Alexis, I adore her. She's exactly like you. If she gets out of this family without therapy, I'll be amazed. Just to be clear, there is no way in h-e-double l that I --

Kristina: No bad words!

Ric: Am I going to revise my witness list with T-minus two days to go. So, sweetie, why don't you just be clear with me and tell me what's really going on?

[Molly cries]

Alexis: Coming, honey!

Ric: Ah --

Alexis: Don't worry, mommy's coming. And don't worry that daddyís going to lose the biggest case that we've had all year and that we won't be able to pay for your college!

Ric: Right.

Maxie: Is this where you lecture me about what a screw-up I am, how when I'm hurting myself, I'm also hurting the people who love me? Get over it, Georgie. You should be thanking me. I mean, I make you look good by comparison. Everything works out just perfectly for you.

Georgie: Maxie, did you not hear me? Dillon and I had a major blowout last night.

Maxie: Oh, I'm so sorry. What could you possibly have to fight about, the campus stalker?

Georgie: Why are you being like this? Diego's the one that got you back here to Kellyís safely.

Maxie: Fine, Georgie! Maybe you have a few small problems. But it's because you're not smart enough to see that Diego has a thing for you. But it's nothing to worry about, because when things get a little out of hand, you run home to dad for support.

Georgie: Maybe you should try it, it might help.

Maxie: It's too late. I'm already in free-fall. My grades are slipping. I don't even know where my life is going!

Georgie: Maxie, just please, give yourself time.

Maxie: What am I supposed to do about the night?

Georgie: What night?

Maxie: Every night. I mean, when I close my eyes to go to sleep, I hear the gunshots -- the ones that killed Jesse, the ones at his funeral. I see the blood, I -- I hear the sounds in my head. Why do you think I was at an all-night club? Can't stand to spend one more night by myself.

Lucky: Listen, if you came here to tell me to take it easy, you just --

Emily: Have you even considered what Elizabeth is going through? She's a nurse and she desperately loves you, but for the life of her she doesn't know how to help you. If she fights you about rushing through this rehab, then she's the enemy. But if you push her to help you in the way you want, then she risks causing you more damage.

Lucky: Just, Elizabeth needs to trust me.

Emily: You need to trust her. Your wife is a professional. Can you respect that?

Lucky: She's more cautious with me than she would be with anybody else.

Emily: All right, maybe caution is exactly what's required. You need to let yourself heal instead of ignoring everybody else's advice. What's your hurry?

Lucky: Because I have a family that needs me. I have a lot to figure out.

Emily: It has to wait. I know you're not thrilled that Nikolas took care of your hospital bills.

Lucky: Oh, I hate it.

Emily: Is it possible for you to be grateful that you have a brother who loves you and is in a position to help you?

Lucky: Of course I'm grateful. But how many times can I let Nikolas bail me out?

Emily: You've been one of my closest friends for as long as I can remember. We've been through so much together. I couldn't love you any more if you were my own brother. Please, think about Elizabeth for a minute.

Lucky: I am. I'm doing this for her and Cameron. I have to -- I just have to get better.

Emily: You could spend years on disability if you don't check your pride at the door and follow orders. If you don't do it for your own good, Lucky, do it for Elizabeth. Please.

Lucky: If I listen to you now, will you do something for me?

Sam: Oh, Monica. Hey, have you seen Jason?

Monica: No. I mean, should I? Is -- is he hurt?

Sam: You know what? Never mind. It wasn't a good idea to come here.

Monica: No, Sam -- Sam, if Jasonís in trouble, I should know about it.

Sam: It's -- it's the whole Sonny-and-Emily thing. Jason couldn't convince them to end it, so he took control over Sonny's business.

Monica: What? To what extent?

Sam: He wants Sonny to choose -- he can have the business if he gives up Emily.

Monica: I can't believe Jason would do something like this. I mean, he would turn against Sonny, even just to protect Emily? How far do you think this is going to go?

Sam: I don't know. I don't know. He won't tell me. I think I drove him away.

Jax: Hey, I just came over to make sure that you're ok. You know, you seemed a little tense last night. I know you've been stressing about this Sonny-and-Jason problem.

Carly: You know, once upon a time, I would've said that everything was fine. Everything was fine and I have it under control. But if you and I stand a chance in hell, I have to be honest with you.

Jax: I agree.

Carly: Nothing about this is fine. I came home last night, Jason was here, and his -- he was all beat up. I mean, you saw his face, right?

Jax: Sonny did that?

Carly: Yeah. Jason is trying to protect Sonny and Emily from themselves, and he made a choice to do what he thought was best for the people he loves and it's blowing up on him.

Jax: Well, you know, Jasonís really lucky to have you.

Carly: Thank you. No, I mean, thank you. Everyone knows that there's no love lost between you, Sonny, and Jason. And there's a major crisis going on with people I'm deeply connected to, and it's really important to me that you respect that.

Ric: Yeah, I -- I know this is last-minute, but -- um -- my partner and I just realized that our lead witness is --

Alexis: Unreliable.

Ric: Un-- unavailable.

Alexis: Can you ask him to reschedule that on Tuesday? It's just Tuesdays are easier for me.

Ric: Yeah, yeah, thank you very much for doing that. Yeah, you know where our office is. Just give us a call. Ok, thanks. Bye.

Alexis: That Tuesday --

Ric: You got to be kidding.

Alexis: Ok, all right, we'll talk about it.

Ric: No, Alexis, I'm serious now. You got to tell me, what is the point of all this? What's going on?

[Knock on door]

Ric: I got it, I got it. Oh, great.

John: Oh, what do you know -- the legal eagles in their own little love nest.

Ric: Oh, what do you want, Durant?

John: Well, there's this case I'm about to prosecute -- County vs. Willington. I could use a little insight.

Ric: Is that still on the docket?

John: Yeah, it's one of the many you left behind when you bailed on the D.A.'s office.

Alexis: He did not do any such thing. You forced him out and you know it.

Ric: It's ok, bygones. I can tell you right now what's the problem with that case.

John: Yeah, thanks -- thanks, Ric. I -- I really wasn't looking for your help. I was talking to your better half. At least she knows something about the law.

Tracy: If it's love you're looking for, you're barking up the wrong marriage.

Robert: Oh, my mistake. I thought for a second there I caught the green-eyed monster.

Tracy: The only reason I want Luke back here is to punish him. Oh, in case you missed it -- I just got left at the altar.

Robert: Well, I'm sorry, but when I get my hands on him, he goes straight back to the islands. But rest easy, he will suffer at the hands of the authorities.

Tracy: A foot flogging is the least he deserves. How much are they paying you to take Luke back there? Is it 50,000?

Robert: Good memory.

Tracy: I'll double it -- 100,000 -- to bring him back to me. Then the fun begins.

Robert: Ooh. Well, I -- I would imagine the old boy might prefer torture at the hands of the authorities than punishment by a scorned woman. But, you know, wouldn't this be a hoot if your husband had actually left you to go off and find true love?

Diego: Hey.

Georgie: Hey. Well, I finally got Maxie to take a shower.  It should sober her up a little bit.

Diego: Well, she listens to you.

Georgie: Not often. It couldn't have been easier getting her out of there.

Diego: Oh -- nah, you know what? I was this close to just knocking her out and carrying her back here, but I thought, "Diego, your parole officer is not going to approve."

Georgie: Right. You never said what you were doing there.

Diego: Just networking.

Georgie: For what?

Diego: For work. You know, just anything -- anything I could get going.

Georgie: Anything?

Diego: Yeah. Look, Georgie, the last thing I want is to risk going back to Pentonville. Between us, the air out here -- I like it too much.

Georgie: Good.

Diego: Yeah. Yeah, I'm -- I'm glad I got to Maxie before she got into more trouble. Look, all that stuff that she said before -- forget it, ok? You're an amazing person, all right? You didn't deserve all that.

Georgie: Yeah, I did. She's not wrong. I hate it when anyone thinks that I'm less than perfect. I'm sorry when I said we couldn't be friends. We are friends, and nobody should make me feel bad about that.

Diego: That's right. Right here.

Georgie: Yeah.

Diego: Hey -- you're not sorry you wrote me those letters, are you?

Georgie: No. But I am sorry that I lied to Dillon about it. He trusted me, and I violated that. The damage is done now and I -- I have to wait, but I know I'm never going to hide anything from him ever again.

Emily: I think I got through to Lucky.

Elizabeth: Really? How?

Emily: He listened. He's not afraid to fail in my eyes. So when I told him that he can't rush through rehab, I think he- I think he paid attention.

Elizabeth: Ok. I'm sorry you got dragged into all this with everything that's going on.

Emily: No, no. Nobody held me hostage and put a knife to my throat.

Elizabeth: You're only stuck between the brother you adore and the man you love -- no stress there.

Emily: Yeah, it's getting worse with Sonny and Jason, neither one of them's going to back down.

Elizabeth: And you're going to try to fix it, aren't you?

Emily: I might be able to end this today. I think I have one more shot.

Sam: Jason's face was all bruised and -- and cut up, and then he tells me that he almost killed Sonny. And I lost it and I actually jumped to defend Sonny and Emilyís relationship and for them to be together, and I -- I called Jason a hypocrite.

Monica: Well, I mean, what -- what could you do? You were just being honest.

Sam: No, I should've tried harder to listen.

Monica: Sam, I don't think Jason is really equipped to deal with all of this. I mean, losing Sonny and Emily? I think right now he needs you in his life more than ever.

Sam: Yeah, and I failed him.

Jax: You know, it means a lot to me that you're honest with me, Carly. It means that we're developing some kind of trust.

Carly: You know, the -- the truth can be hard to take and easy to judge.

Jax: Yeah. Well, I respect your loyalty and commitment to the people you care about, I really do.

Carly: What about you? I mean, there -- there must be something that you're worried that people will judge you for, you know, mistakes you've made, wrong turns you've taken, something you're not so proud of.

Jax: Well, I'm in no position to throw stones, if that's what you're implying.

Carly: I'm not the only one with stress, Jax. There's something going on with you. So are you going to sit here and tell me that I'm wrong, that I don't know you at all?

Jax: No, you're not wrong. I haven't been entirely honest with you -- or myself -- about Courtney, Nikolas, and the baby.

Alexis: It's right here -- Arizona vs. Polina. It's not the sexiest precedent in the world, but it should do the trick. You going to challenge me on that?

John: Well, you're the expert. I wish I'd come here sooner.

Alexis: There's still time. What else?

John: Pardon?

Alexis: What do you want? You didn't come here to get my opinion on the Willington case. You came to schmooze me about the A.D.A. position.

John: All right, you got me. At least tell me that you'll consider it.

Alexis: Why would I?

John: Hmm, for the opportunity to shoot me down again? Look -- ok, I'll sweeten the pot. You'll never have to try a case involving Sonny or Jason.

Alexis: That helps. I'll think about it, but I'm pretty sure I'm not interested.

John: You are a very lucky man, Mr. Lansing. I'll be in touch.

Alexis: Oh --

Ric: Hmm.

[Door closes]

Ric: Well, I know you're smart enough to not fall for that.

Epiphany: If I were you, I'd go have a conversation with that husband of yours.

Elizabeth: He's asleep.

Epiphany: In your dreams. I went to go draw some blood and he had locked himself in his room.

Elizabeth: What? No! How?

Epiphany: I'm guessing chair wedged up under the doorknob. It's an old trick -- I've used it myself in my quest for some privacy.

Elizabeth: Oh, you're wrong. Lucky's not even strong enough to make it to the door.

Epiphany: I must be imagining things. Probably didn't even hear him moving around inside. Man ain't even supposed to be out the bed by himself. But I'm dead wrong, and you know everything. Now, excuse me, while I go find maintenance to take off the door that your husband didn't wedge a chair up under.

Elizabeth: Ok, wait. I'll deal with him.

Dillon: Can I speak to you, please?

Georgie: Dillon, I know --

Dillon: Don't -- no, no, no -- don't, don't, don't -- just let me -- I came here because I have something I want to say.

Georgie: Ok.

Dillon: I don't want to hurt you ever, and I need -- I need you to know that I respect that you have principles.

Georgie: Dillon --

Dillon: Georgie, please, just listen -- listen, ok? One night without you, man -- one night too many. I couldn't -- I couldn't sleep. I stayed up all night thinking about what my life would be like without you, not being able to touch you, hold you, kiss you. I felt so alone. Everything I just said actually was -- was rehearsed, but it's true. It's -- it's so true, every word of it. I was an idiot. I don't like that you were writing Diego in prison, I donít. I don't trust him, but I trust you. And if you say that he's your friend, then he's your friend. And I don't like that you lied to me about it, but tough. You know, what am I going to do besides ask you "Please, please, don't ever do that to me again"? Because the truth -- ok, no matter how upset I get or how frustrated or angry or jealous, I love you with everything that I have because I don't know any other way to do it. There's nothing we can't figure out if we're together.

Georgie: Dillon, I love you. I love you, too, and I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. And you're right, you're right -- one night alone was -- was way too long, and I -- I don't ever, ever, ever want to do it again -- well, unless you're on, you know, a location shoot, then we can make an --

Dillon: I would take you with me.

Georgie: Mm-hmm.

Jax: I would like to be the bigger person when it comes to Nikolas, but I don't want him bonding with Little John.

Carly: Why?

Jax: I'm not proud of this.

Carly: I want you to tell me.

Jax: Courtney's final wish was that Nikolas would be a part of John's life, but I -- I know better. I mean, the Cassadines are a living nightmare.

Carly: Courtney trusted Nikolas enough to want to raise her child with him.

Jax: Yeah, well, I never really understood that. I mean, if I give Nikolas access to that little boy, I'm putting his life in danger, ok? I mean, what would you do? Wishes? Or would you go with what you thought was right?

Carly: I would do whatever my heart told me was right for the baby. And I really hope that's what you do, no matter what the consequences are.

Jax: Yeah. Oh -- it's getting late. I got a meeting, so -- I'll see you later, ok?

Alexis: I'm not stupid. I know why Durant was here.

Ric: Mm-hmm. He plays you like a violin. I mean, when was the last time Durant asked anybody for legal advice?

Alexis: You're acting like a baby. You're just mad because he flattered me and wanted me to fix something and accused you of botching a job.

Ric: I did not botch the job, ok? The case got delayed. Am I the only one who sees that he's been appealing to your ego?

Alexis: Is it so hard to believe that he might actually respect me --

Ric: Oh!

Alexis: To think I am smart and want me to work in the A.D.A. --

Ric: Durant doesn't make a move, Alexis, without some kind of ulterior motive. He's setting you up for something, and I just hope you realize it before you play right into his hands.

Emily: Carly, you have to talk to Jason, get him to back off of his ultimatum. I'd do it myself, but he won't listen to me anymore.

Carly: You broke it; you fix it.

Emily: Jason is miserable. His heart is breaking. You go on and on about how much you love him. Prove it -- help Jason, talk him into backing off.

Carly: Why should he? He's right. If you stay with Sonny, you will get hurt, and you know what, I think you deserve it. But Jason has risked everything -- Sonny, the boys, even his own life -- to protect you, and I'm not about to tell him he's wrong!

Emily: I don't need protection! I never asked for it! Jason took it upon himself to decide what's right for me and Sonny. He's taking this way too far.

Carly: You don't know your brother at all.

Emily: I love my brother and he loves me, but I'm not going to let him control me, and Jason needs to understand that I don't need him saving me. You're the only one who can get through to him. Stop your best friend from destroying himself.

Sam: I've been looking for you. When you didn't come home last night, I just --

Jason: I just needed to think. You say I'm wrong about Sonny and Emily. It's your opinion. I don't want to fight with you about it.

Sam: Neither do I.

Jason: And I wish I could do what you asked -- step away. That's not possible.

Sam: Hey -- I want you to know whatever happens, I believe in you.

Ric: Save it, Alexis. It's not staying.

Alexis: Why not?

Ric: You know what? You realize the two of us can't work together and that's why --

Alexis: That's not true.

Ric: You brought this desk in here in the first place -- to illuminate your point. I know it's a very passive-aggressive maneuver and it was very effective, but why didn't you just tell me you wanted the A.D.A. position?

Alexis: I do not want the A.D.A. -- I get it. It's reverse psychology -- you want me to take the A.D.A. position.

Ric: Oh, really? Why would I want that?

Alexis: Because if I work for Durant, then you're free to work for Sonny and become his consigliore.

Ric: You know what? That's a great idea. Because the day that you accept Durantís offer is the day that I will become Sonny's consigliore.

Elizabeth: Lucky, can I come in?

Lucky: It's open.

Elizabeth: What --

Lucky: We haven't had Eliís in ages.

Elizabeth: How did you ever --

Lucky: Emily made a call. One of the guys who works there came by and he set it up. I know it's not much.

Elizabeth: Yes, it -- it is.

Lucky: Well, it's better than dried meatloaf and green gelatin.

Elizabeth: Honey, why didn't you say something? I would've done this for you.

Lucky: It's not for me. I've been selfish enough.

Elizabeth: No.

Lucky: No, I should've been better, kinder to you. You've been so patient with me, and I love you so much.

Elizabeth: I just want you to get well.

Lucky: I will.

Carly: Jason spent the night last night here on my couch. Even the ever-loyal Sam is siding with you and Sonny.

Emily: Sam loves Jason. She just can't blindly follow whatever he says.

Carly: Neither one of you have ever been through what Jason and I went through with Sonny -- watching him unravel until he becomes a danger to himself and anyone else who tries to help. You're the one with the power to stop this, right here, right now, today. All you have to do is leave Sonny.

Sam: I hate it that it's come to this. You're fighting your best friend and your sister, and I know you believe you're doing the right thing -- it's the only way to keep Emily safe. And I want you to know that I trust your judgment.

Jason: Sam, you don't have to just say things to keep the peace. I do -- I do want you to be honest with me.

Sam: I am. I am. And, trust me, I may not always understand why you do the things you do, but I have total faith that you're doing what you think is right. And I want you to know that I'm really sorry. I realized I overreacted last night, and you should know it has nothing -- nothing to do with Sonny and Emily.

Jason: It sure sounded that way.

Sam: I know, I know. It's just sometimes I say what I'm thinking instead of what I mean -- especially when I get emotional.

Jason: Ok.

Sam: Now you're trying to understand, even though I'm not making any sense.

Jason: No, just keep going, you will.

Sam: Ok, I'm going to -- I'm going to try, anyway. What scares me is the more I ask, the less you're willing to share. I'm thinking maybe you don't look at me quite the same, now that you know that Alexis is my mother.

Jason: Where did that come from?

Sam: Jason, you hate Alexis, I am her daughter. How can you not look at me and see her, and not want to pull back just a little bit?

Jason: I don't care who your mother is. I love you. That's why I walked out. Listen, I had to stop the fight before it pulled us apart. I don't want to lose you.

Sam: Hey, you wonít.

Carly: What are you up to?

Michael: It's dad's birthday today. Me and Morgan want to throw him a surprise birthday party.

Sonny: Start with Miguel Escobar. I want it clear that I'm still in charge.
