Monica: This is ridiculous.
Ned: We're wasting time.
Alan: You want Luke out of the house or not?
Lulu: He'll be here.
Luke: Oh, God. I'm getting too old for this.
Lorenzo: I'm going to go get the groom so we can move this along.
Skye: No. It's ok. I'm fine, I'm fine.
Robert: He could've written a sequel to "War and Peace" by now.
Lulu: He's a slow writer.
Robert: Something's wrong.
Tracy: I've been left at the altar! Luke Spencer, damn you!
Monica: What in the world?
Alan: Sounds like somebody fell!
Tracy: Or jumped.
Ned: Whoa, whoa, whoa -- no, don’t. You'll make an even bigger fool of yourself. I mean, it's not like this ceremony is valid anyway.
Alice: Hey -- are you casting aspersions on the legitimacy of my ministry?
Ned: Alice, you are the perfect touch to what came dangerously close to being the farce of the year.
Alice: I think I'm insulted.
Tracy: This ceremony that you so cruelly called a farce happened to mean something to me.
Dillon: Well, don't get all wiggy. He's still your husband whether or not you guys exchanged extra vows.
Tracy: Well, considering the way he humiliated me today, I might divorce him in absentia.
[Car peels out]
Alan: That's the Bentley. He stole our Bentley! Luke Spencer, damn you!
Robert: Sounds like he left in a hurry.
Lulu: The Bentley just cleared the front gates. Dad didn't even slow down. You won't catch him now.
Robert: Wait a minute.
Lulu: Get your hands off of me!
Robert: Not until you tell me where he's headed.
Carly: And what about Courtney? Oh, my God. I mean, did your mother die thinking that Jax was your father? Oh, Courtney. Oh, if you could hear me, I need a sign. I need you to give me a sign. I don't know what to do. I mean, do I keep my mouth shut? Or do I tell Nikolas that he's John's father?
Nikolas: I know what you're going to say. I'm not here to cause trouble. I just -- I just want to take a look at the boy who would've been my stepson. What's the harm? Please?
Jax: What are you doing here with my son?
Emily: I'm available to cover if you want to slip off and spend some time with Lucky.
Emily: Why would you want to spend time with your husband?
Elizabeth: No, why are you available to cover? I thought you were going on a trip with Sonny. Why'd you cut it short?
Emily: Sonny wanted to come home and work things out with Jason. They're probably together right now.
Sonny: To friendship. It's carried us a long way.
Michael: Ok, this is great -- just us guys having dinner. Mom and Emily are great, but they get in the way sometimes.
Lulu: You have been away a while and maybe your memory isn't exactly what it used to be, but my dad doesn't exactly check in with people before he does things -- certainly not me. I barely rate his attention when I'm standing right in front of him. I once didn't even hear from him for 15 months.
Robert: That might be true, but I know what I saw with my own eyes. And during the epidemic, he was desperate to save your life, so much so that he kept a roomful of doctors and myself hostage at gunpoint.
Lulu: Ok, my dad likes to make big, flashy statements, but risking his life or getting himself arrested for me? He's over that. It's the follow-through that falls apart, so don't look at me. I don't know where he went or why.
Tracy: Well, then you are of no use to Robert or me. Make yourself scarce.
Lulu: Huh. Aw, you really know how to hurt a girl.
Tracy: You can leave, too.
Robert: Not without a few answers.
Tracy: I'm the jilted bride, remember? I don't have any.
Robert: Do I look stupid?
Tracy: That I have an answer for.
Robert: The only reason you went through with this absurd wedding was to stall Luke’s extradition. Now, whatever he was planning, you're a part of. Unless you tell me what I want to know, I'm going to have you up for accessory.
Alan: I'm calling the police.
Alice: Oh, no, you're not.
Alan: Luke is a car thief.
Ned: A Bentley thief.
Dillon: Hey, you got to hand it to the guy, though. At least he knows class.
Monica: Yes, Luke has always had champagne taste on a beer budget.
Alice: Put that down.
Alan: Or what, Alice?
Alice: I'm going to say this nice and slow so all you hardheads can understand. If any one of you try to have Mr. Luke arrested, the staff is going on strike. That means no more breakfast buffet, no cocktail hour, no washing of the clothes, no washing of the dishes --
Monica: Put the phone down, Alan. We need those people.
Alan: Why do you let the lunatics run the asylum?
Ned: Because we can't tell the difference?
Alan: Your father stole our car.
Alan: Where did he take it?
Skye: How should Lulu know? Luke never tells the poor girl anything.
Dillon: I'm really sorry, Lulu. I feel bad for you. You're stuck alone in this house once again.
Ned: Well, if you really feel that bad, you and Georgie can always move back in.
Robin: So how's the patient -- besides not?
Patrick: Better than ever. Tina, my new favorite nurse, gave me a very thorough sponge bath. And I'm happy to report that whatever devious act you might've performed during the operation, everything's working just fine.
Robin: I can't believe you are so vain, so concerned about the center of your being that you had to call one of your nurses for a road test.
Patrick: You're jealous. Now, don't think I forgot the way you kissed me before you put me under.
Robin: That would've been you dreaming, and I think you still are if you think I'm the slightest big jealous.
Patrick: Come on, now.
Woman: Dr. Scorpio, you need to leave this room immediately.
Patrick: Who are you to come in here barking orders?
Robin: That's Ms. Sneed from hospital administration.
Patrick: Well, why don't you go administrate somewhere else? Dr. Scorpio is treating me.
Ms. Sneed: Not anymore. She was suspended for consulting on Dr. Drake -- Noah Drake's unauthorized liver transplant, then turned around and operated on you in blatant disregard for that suspension. I intend to report this egregious flaunting of the rules to the Medical Review Board. If there's any justice at all, Dr. Scorpio will lose her license.
Jax: You know, you're violating your restraining order. I could have you arrested for this.
Nikolas: Go ahead, Jax. Explain to the police the horrific crime I've committed by visiting my dead fiancée’s son. Go ahead.
Carly: Ok, you guys need to tone it down a little bit because babies pick up on stress and anger. You shouldn't have violated the restraining order. But in all fairness, you shouldn't have filed it. You need to lighten up. Nikolas is here. What is so bad about letting him hold this baby? It's the right thing to do, Jax, and we both know it.
Jax: Fine. Go ahead.
Nikolas: Thank you.
Carly: Don't make me regret it.
Jax: I thought you had to go home and see your kids.
Carly: Yeah, change of plans -- Sonny wanted Michael and Morgan, and I just wanted to come here and see Little John. Do you have a problem with that?
Jax: No. My problem is with Nikolas. Why would you say that?
Nikolas: Hi, John. Remember me? I'm Nikolas; I was almost your father. Yeah, if only things would've been different, huh? Yeah.
Elizabeth: It's good that Sonny wants to make an effort, but a reconciliation with Jason might be difficult. This isn't just a falling-out between friends. Lives are at stake.
Emily: That's exactly why they need to work things out. That, and the fact that they've trusted each other so completely for so long. I have to believe that they want to find a way to compromise.
Elizabeth: I think Jason wants you safe more than he wants to salvage his relationship with Sonny.
Emily: I don't understand, Elizabeth. Why can't Jason respect my right to make my own decisions about my own life?
Elizabeth: Maybe you should look at it from a different perspective.
Emily: You mean Jason’s?
Elizabeth: He's willing to give up a lot to get you out of a situation he perceives as dangerous. Maybe he knows what he's talking about.
Sonny: Anybody want seconds?
Michael: Not me. I am stuffed.
Max: Yeah, boss?
Sonny: Could you take the boys to Carly? Leticia will be there.
Max: Yeah. Sure. Come on, boys, up and at 'em.
Morgan: Ok. I'll get out of the chair.
Jason: Come on.
Morgan: I got to get out of the chair.
Sonny: Yeah, there you go.
Sonny: Well, I wanted the boys to have one last memory of how things used to be.
Jason: Now what?
Sonny: Now you got what you wanted. You and I are enemies.
Tracy: You want to arrest me? Be my guest. I will have three judges file injunctions against you within the hour just to prove I can. And when I'm done with that, I'll take a little stroll down to family court division and I will report you for child abandonment. Let's see -- how old was Robin when you disappeared? 12 or 13? That ought to be good for a whopping retroactive support judgment against you. Are you getting the message? Do you realize that I am perfectly capable of defending myself against my deadbeat husband and riffraff like you?
Robert: Well, there's no need to get snarky about it. I was just trying to help.
Tracy: By threatening to arrest me?
Robert: I needed to get your attention.
Tracy: You have it.
Robert: He made a fool of you tonight in front of the entire family. I mean, shouldn't there be a consequence to that?
Tracy: There will be.
Robert: Well, maybe I can help. Tell me where he is.
Tracy: I don't know where he is. And as for Luke's consequences, don't you worry your pretty little mind about that. It has just become my mission in life to make Luke Spencer beg for mercy.
Nikolas: Now, you sleep tight, ok? Ok? I'm grateful to you both. Thank you. Holding Courtney’s son was -- was an incredible gift.
Jax: You're welcome.
Carly: I don't think you should use children as ammunition to hurt people.
Jax: Is that what you think I'm doing? You think I'm keeping John away from Nikolas because I'm angry that Courtney chose him? Wow. I'm flattered you give me so much credit. But I'm not that petty.
Carly: Then you make me understand. What threat does Nikolas pose to John?
Emily: There are a few reasons why it's hard for me to see Jason’s point of view, mostly because I don't know him anymore, Elizabeth. It's like my beloved brother has turned into a stranger overnight.
Elizabeth: You have explained Jason to me plenty of times, and now it's my turn. He's worried about you and it's not unjustified. Nobody has spent more time with Sonny than Jason. He knows what happens; he doesn't want you getting hurt. And since you're not listening to him, it makes him scared. He doesn't know what to do with that feeling, so he just shuts down. You know all this. You're just distracted by Sonny's love.
Ms. Sneed: Nurse Spencer? I need to speak with you.
Ms. Sneed: First of all, I don't appreciate your sending Epiphany Johnson to fight your battles. Second, I delayed transferring your husband to County because you assured me that payment was forthcoming. I haven't heard from you. There's been no attempt to arrange payment. Unless I get proof that Lucky's medical expenses will be paid --
Emily: Excuse me. Does my father, the Chief of Staff, know that you're hounding Elizabeth for money?
Ms. Sneed: With all due respect, Ms. Quartermaine, med students get no input in the billing policies.
Nikolas: What about the hospital's principal benefactor? Does he have a say?
Sonny: Well, you were using your position of trust to betray me. I was actually making the decision to compromise with you, which is something that's not easy for me to do, as you know. It was Emily who convinced me that the compromise was the way to go. The same Emily you were so determined to keep away from me, because that's what this is all about, isn't it? You want to punish me because I dared to fall in love with your sister, which is ironic since you fell in love with my sister and I asked you to stay away and you didn’t.
Jason: No comparison.
Sonny: Why? Why isn't there a comparison?
Jason: You barely knew Courtney.
Sonny: She was still my sister.
Jason: Not one you watched grow up. Not a sister whose hand you held at what you thought was her deathbed or tried to find the words to comfort her when she'd been brutally raped. Emily is more than my adopted sister. I'm not going to stand by and watch her get hurt because she's with you.
Sonny: I would never --
Sonny: Do anything to hurt Emily. You should understand that.
Jason: I understand you wouldn't want to or you wouldn't mean to, Sonny. Let's get to the point. When you lose control, when you go through one of your things -- when that happens, you go to a dark place and you try to hurt yourself or anyone who tries to stop you, and I'm not going to let Emily be that person.
Sonny: You know what? I never thought I'd say this, but out of everybody that I know, right now you are being the biggest hypocrite.
Georgie: Move back into this house? Let me make this clear -- never.
Ned: Don't hold back.
Dillon: No --
Ned: Tell us how you really feel.
Dillon: No, no, no, no, it's not that we don't want to help Lulu. It's just, you know --
Georgie: We're determined to make it on our own, and besides, Lulu seems perfectly comfortable to me.
Dillon: Ok, now, that's weird. You have so much empathy. Where's your empathy for Lulu? I mean, this is going to be hard for her.
Alan: Not that this isn't fascinating to discuss Lulu's difficulties, but could we do it after dinner? Our meal was held up because of Tracy’s ridiculous non-vow ceremony, and I'm starving.
Tracy: Alice, before you serve dinner, would you take your collar off, please, and show Mr. Scorpio to the door?
Alice: Happy to oblige, Miss Tracy. Yeah, don't come around here threatening Mr. Luke again!
Alan: Can we eat now?
Lorenzo: Alone at last.
Skye: I forget what an ungodly racket they can make.
Lorenzo: Can I get you anything?
Skye: No, thanks. You know, I think I actually find myself feeling sorry for Tracy. It must be every woman's worst nightmare to be left standing at the altar, proverbial or not. I guess, in our heart of hearts, we all want to be somebody's cherished bride.
Lorenzo: You know, I'm glad you said that. Skye Chandler Quartermaine, would you do me the honor of becoming my beautiful, cherished bride?
Robin: I guess this is goodbye.
Noah: What are you talking about?
Robin: I'm leaving the hospital.
Noah: Then I'll see you tomorrow.
Robin: No, I'm leaving for good, I've been suspended. And by the time it's lifted, I'll probably have lost my medical license. Thanks for that, by the way.
Bobbie: Your son wanted to see you and he insisted that I bring him.
Patrick: I want Bobbie to be fully informed about what's going on here.
Bobbie: Oh. What's wrong?
Patrick: My father is filing a lawsuit against the hospital.
Patrick: That's a great question. You'd think he'd be grateful since he got a healthy liver out of the deal. But instead he's in a snit because I put his name on the donor list and arranged for the transplant without his consent. Now he's stomping his foot and suing everyone involved, including Robin, who got herself a double dose of trouble for stepping in to save my life while she was under suspension. Ms. Sneed from Administration plans to report Robin to the Medical Review Board, get her medical license revoked.
Bobbie: You're not really going to let this happen, are you?
Noah: This is Dr. Noah Drake. Page Ms. Sneed and have her come to my room immediately.
Nikolas: This should be more than enough to cover Lucky's bills and ensure that he gets the best possible care.
Ms. Sneed: Thank you, Mr. Cassadine.
Nikolas: And just so we're clear, Ms. Sneed, I intend to demand that the hospital completely overhaul its administration policies, because obviously bean counters such as yourself are given far too much power if you're comfortable harassing staff nurses and advocating the mistreatment of patients.
Ms. Sneed: That -- that is not what I --
Nikolas: You can save it for your supervisors. You can leave now.
Emily: That was a thing of beauty.
Elizabeth: And well worth the harassment. Thank you, Nikolas.
Nikolas: Oh, it was my pleasure.
Sonny: For as long as I've known you, you've lived by one single rule -- the right to make your own decisions. You have fought hard against the people who tried to control you. That's why you left the Quartermaines, that's why you broke up with Robin. Well, Emily and I have the right to make our own decisions. I mean, you may not like it, that's -- that's fine. But you don't -- you don't have the right to dictate what we do.
Jason: I am a hypocrite. And I may not be able to protect Emily from what's inside you, but I can lessen the outside threat. And I have made sure that you're no longer a target.
Sonny: By stealing my business?
Jason: You can have it back. All you have to do is leave Emily alone.
Skye: This is really starting to become a habit with you.
Lorenzo: Well, if at first you don't succeed --
Skye: Oh, Lorenzo, I would love to accept your proposal, but I can’t. Not yet.
Lorenzo: Well, that's not a definite "no." I'll take that as encouragement.
Skye: Who knew you were a "glass is half full" kind of guy? Oh. Listen, the idea of a settled life with you is extremely attractive to me -- till I get to the married part. Lorenzo, I have to be truthful with you, it scares me to death. You know, I've never been any good at it, and I have to look at my own responsibility for so many failures. I'm telling you, marriage just brings out the absolute worst part of myself, the needy, grasping, deceitful part. I -- I go in to sabotage mode and I systematically ruin anything that's good. I mean, I -- I don't know. Maybe if it were just you and me, I -- I might actually say yes, but we have a child to consider. And I'd rather just keep things the way they are and just build on this foundation that actually has a shot of holding up.
Lorenzo: There's a flaw in your logic. And someday I'll figure it out and use it to change your mind.
Skye there's a part of me that's rooting for you.
Lorenzo: You know, I'm thinking my technique could stand improvement. It's kind of backwards of me to ask you to marry me when -- when I haven't said "I love you."
Ms. Sneed: Did I hear you correctly? You're withdrawing the lawsuit?
Noah: Yeah, that's right, I am.
Patrick: Why so disappointed, Ms. Sneed? That's good news. Now we can go back to saving lives instead of spending time and money on some frivolous lawsuit.
Ms. Sneed: Frivolous lawsuits are not cause for rejoicing, Dr. Drake. As a matter of fact, they're actionable in court if you're admitting that you consented to the transplant and then filed a false claim --
Noah: Hey, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait, wait. Are -- are you threatening me here? I was heavily sedated after surgery. I wasn't thinking clearly -- something you and your administration should've done before you overreacted and started suspending people. As far as I'm concerned, the only one here who's negligent is you. Maybe someone should file a lawsuit against you.
Ms. Sneed: Oh.
Bobbie: Way to go, Noah. I've been waiting for years for someone to tell Ms. Sneed where to stick it.
Patrick: Yeah, nice work. I haven't seen that much backbone out of you in years. Looks like my liver's already making a difference.
Noah: You'll save your accolades. You authorized major, life-threatening surgery on me against my whets, without my consent. And if it wasn't for innocent people like Robin and Epiphany, I'd sue you up one side and down the other. As it is, we're going to have to duke it out somewhere else -- like the O.R.
Patrick: You can't seriously be thinking about going back to work.
Noah: Oh, damn right I am. You strutting around here like Dr. Brilliant, doing whatever you want -- I'm a better surgeon than you'll ever be. By the time I'm done, anyone that matters is going to know it.
Jax: I've never had any use for Nikolas. That's no secret. But I put my personal feelings aside and I invited him to be a part of John's life, because that's what Courtney would've wanted. And how does he react? He shows up at her memorial and ruins it for everyone that loved her. And then to top it off, he literally stole her ashes. No, Nikolas is arrogant, he's selfish, and he's completely unhinged by grief. I don't want him around Little John! Hey, you know what? If you can't support my decision, then you don't need to be around him, either.
Carly: What do I do, John? What do I do? Do I tell the whole world about you? Or do I take the secret of your paternity to my grave?
Sonny: I thought I made you smarter than this. Our business is not a trophy that you can just trade back and forth. You may have cleaned out my accounts, hidden my money, but I'm still in charge.
Jason: Just call someone. Give an order and see what happens. When was the last time you even stepped foot in a warehouse, or dealt with a casino manager face to face? I'm the one who does that. The men are used to reporting to me because they've been doing it for years. The only thing that's changing is that I'm not going to have to wait until you're able to focus again.
Sonny: You're mad because I didn't let you kill Manny. That's what's going on here. You just want to throw away years of what we had, our friendship?
Jason: You threw it away when you betrayed my trust and swore to give up Emily and you slept with her, and then you lied to my face over and over! This whole situation is of your making, Sonny! And I'm doing what I've always done -- I'm just cleaning up your mess.
Nikolas: Lucky looks like hell, even when he's asleep. What's that about?
Elizabeth: His back pain is excruciating and constant, and, unfortunately, going to Jesse’s funeral didn't help matters.
Nikolas: You know why he felt like he needed to do that, right?
Elizabeth: Yes, I know. My husband's an honorable man and a good friend. Nothing was going to keep him from being there when his partner's laid to rest --
Elizabeth: Especially when he feels so responsible.
Nikolas: I know. I wish there was something I could do.
Elizabeth: Are you kidding? You just paid for his entire medical bill.
Nikolas: You know he's not going to be happy about that.
Elizabeth: Blame me. I'll make sure he gets over it.
Elizabeth: Oh, I have to go, you guys.
Elizabeth: Hey, thank you.
Nikolas: You're welcome.
Elizabeth: See ya.
Emily: You seem -- lighter somehow. Did something good happen?
Nikolas: Yes. I was finally able to hold Courtney’s son tonight.
Emily: Oh, that's wonderful. Nikolas, I know how much John must mean to you.
Nikolas: Yes, he does. You remember when I used to say that I didn't want to be a father and you said that that would change when I held a child of my own? Well, I didn't even need that. It was enough just -- just holding Courtney’s child.
Emily: I have no doubt you'll be an amazing father.
Lorenzo: I'm dealing with my own fears. To me, love equals loss -- my parents, my brother, my first fiancée, my niece. Whew. My attempted love with Carly was a failure.
Skye: I know the feeling.
Lorenzo: You know, I want to say those words. I want to mean them. I just have this internal edit button inside of me that stops me from crossing that line.
Skye: Lorenzo, you don't have to explain. I'm afraid to love you, too. Maybe that's a good sign. Maybe it means that we've both been burned enough to actually value the process of -- of getting to know each other, taking our time. And I think that if we ever do get to that point where we can actually verbalize love to one another, it'll be the truest words we've ever said.
Sonny: You're not cleaning up anything. You're stealing. Let's be clear on that. You come into my house when I'm not home; you clean out my possessions, my money --
Jason: Like I said, you can have it all back if you leave Emily alone.
Sonny: Forget -- this is a business, not a football. You don't get to come in here, pick it up, bring it back three days later when I give you what you need. You're making us vulnerable!
Jason: You made us vulnerable when you stopped paying attention! Trips to Spain, trips to the island, sleeping with my sister instead of taking care of business.
Sonny: What did you expect me to do, Jason? You say I'm crazy, but you can't see what's right in front of your face. Emily's not a little girl anymore. She's a grown woman; she's been married twice.
Sonny: You're right! I shouldn't have lied! I hate that I did that! What I should've done -- as soon as Emily and I got together, we should've just moved in.
Jason: "Moved in"?
Sonny: Well, isn't that what this is about? You think I'm dishonoring your sister? Maybe I should just marry her. Is that at --?
Jason: Oh -- that's -- that is never going to happen.
Sonny: Who died -- who died and put you in -- God send the angels down here?
Jason: You -- Sonny, you were going to hurt her.
Sonny: You're going to hurt her! You're hurting her right now! Can't you see the pain in her face, the tears in her eyes?
Jason: I have done nothing since this started but try to find a solution --
Sonny: The solution is to mind your own business! It's pointless, you know. I'm not going to argue with you. You can't, you won't see or understand. So what you need to do is you need to pick up the phone, give me back what you stole, and get the hell out of my house.
Jason: You don't get it. You're not in charge anymore.
Sonny: This is my business. I built it! Get out of my house!
Tracy: Ha-ha. Redial, redial, redial.
Man: Fast Eddie’s Book Joint.
Tracy: Ugh, crap.
Lulu: You're wasting your time. My dad doesn't leave clues. Trust me, I've looked for enough of them.
Tracy: All right. Well, he was in a hurry, maybe he's not as young as he used to be, he could've slipped up.
Lulu: Well, you know, my dad takes off, but that's just what he does. It doesn't mean that he doesn't care about you. In fact, it -- it kind of means that he does --
Tracy: I don't need your phony sympathy, thank you.
Dillon: Whoa. I think she's trying to help. How about, you know, "Thanks for your concern," rather than biting her head off?
Tracy: Right, then. Thanks for your concern. However, Luke Spencer disappearing is cause for celebration. There is nothing I would rather have in my life than that cipher out of the house and out of my heart.
Dillon: You know she's lying.
Lulu: I know.
Dillon: Hey, you know, for the record, Luke leaving without a trace -- it's not fair to anyone, especially you.
Lulu: No, he didn’t. He told me where he went.
Robin: Well, well. Look who's back. Were you going to bother to pick up the phone and let me know?
Robert: I was under the impression you didn't want to hear from me.
[Knock on door]
Jax: This is a bad time.
Carly: I know you're mad, but I want to come in anyway.
Carly: Ok. For the record, Nikolas showed up at the hospital. I didn't invite him, and I didn't ask him to stay, and I wouldn't have let him hold Little John.
Jax: So if I wouldn't have shown up, you would've sent him away? Is that what you're saying?
Carly: I would've respected your wishes. So how about respecting me enough to tell me what's really going on here? Why are you so adamant about keeping Nikolas away from Little John?
Jax: Ok. Fine. If anyone deserves to know the truth, it's you.
Sonny: Get out of my house! You want me to hit you again?
Emily: Sonny -- wait, stop!
>> Stay tuned for scenes from the next "General Hospital."
>> On the next "General Hospital" --
Robert: Can't you just give us a chance?
Robin: Why should I set myself up to get hurt again?
Jax: I just don't want to lose another person I care about, Nikolas Cassadine.
Emily: Jason, no!
Sam: You got into a fight with Sonny? What is going on?
