Luke: No, English, I'll be there as soon --
Robert: Aren't you supposed to be getting married?
Luke: I don't care where you are. I will find you, I will hunt you down. Do you hear me? I'll find you! God. What was I thinking giving that waste of human flesh a tab at my casino?
Robert: Uh-huh. I see.
Luke: Well, never mind that. You ready to play Best Man, old son?
Robert: The sooner you're married, the sooner we're out of here on the next flight, the sooner I get my hands on the 50 grand.
Luke: And the sooner you cut me in on it, or I don't go. This is going to be like old times, you know? I'll finesse questions from the police, you'll make sure nobody slaps me around with rusty nails, and then we'll get out into the island, check it out, mix with the natives, try out the local beverages --
Robert: You're stalling.
Luke: Why would I stall? No, no, I'm very serious about making a commitment to my wife and my retirement nest egg. And having you there -- it's just -- it's -- I can't do this. I can't do it. I can't marry Tracy, that's all there is to it. Damn!
Carly: I'm calling Sonny's island. He needs to know what you're doing behind his back.
Jason: Enrique has orders not to disturb him.
Carly: Yeah, well, he'll listen to me. Enrique? It's Mrs. Corinthos. I need to speak to Sonny as soon as possible. Yeah, well, he's going to want to hear this.
Emily: So, I'm all unpacked.
Emily: What would you like to do? We could go to dinner, the casino, maybe take a walk along the ocean, or just stay here and open up a bottle of wine.
Sonny: Anything you want is fine.
Emily: You don't want to be here, do you? You want to go home.
Sonny: Hello? Who's there?
Emily: Who do you think that was?
Sonny: Doesn't matter.
Carly: I couldn't tell Sonny. And not because I agree with you, but because you're my best friend.
Jason: Thank you.
Carly: I just wish I could've come up with a plan or something. You know, maybe you wouldn't have to do this.
Jason: I'm doing what I have to do to protect Emily and the rest of the people I love.
Carly: You know better than anyone how much Sonny needs his business. The power, the money, the territory -- he lives for it, Jason. Girlfriends and wives -- they come and go. Your kids grow up and they move on. But the one thing Sonny counts on besides you is the one thing you are taking away from him.
Jason: Yeah, well, I don't want it, Carly. And I will give it back if he gives up Emily.
Carly: I am asking you not to do this, Jason!
Jason: It's already done!
Carly: Then undo it! You undo it. We'll put it back before he --
Jason: I can't! I can't! I can't back down now!
Carly: Sonny gave you this life, and you have no right to take it away from him. And I can't stand here and watch you do it.
Jason: I'm not asking you to.
Carly: You have cleaned up every mess I've ever made, and I will help you clean up this one -- if there's anything left to save.
[Door opens and closes]
Sonny: You were absolutely right. I needed some time to, you know, get away and find some perspective.
Emily: Is that what you're doing?
Sonny: Well, you know, as soon as the plane took off, my anger went away, and I started to think things through and -- I understand Jason’s angry and worried and, you know, I trust him. He would never betray me. It's just that he's been taking on so much and that's got to stop. But his heart's in the right place and he just -- he wants to protect us.
Emily: No, I agree.
Sonny: But I tell you, I didn't -- I didn't expect him to react this badly, you know, but he's not completely wrong. You know what he's trying to do?
Sonny: He's -- he's testing, you know, trying to test, push me as far as he can to see if what we have probably is real.
Emily: And once he realizes that it is, he'll adjust. He loves us both and he just wants us to be happy.
Sonny: Right, right. I -- actually, I should've been more patient. I mean, when he pushed me, I shouldn't have pushed back. I should've waited, given him time to come around, because you know what? He will. Right?
Sonny: I've just been going about it, this whole thing, you know, the wrong way and -- you're not going to be upset that I got to -- I want to go back and get this thing --
Emily: No, I don't want to leave things the way they are for even one more day. You go back, you tell Jason everything you just told me, and put an end to this nightmare.
Jax: Can I help you?
Man: You may not remember me without the lab coat.
Jax: Come in. You're the lab tech from Mercy.
Lab Tech: Yeah.
Jax: What can I do for you? These are the paternity results naming Nikolas Cassadine as the father. You were supposed to destroy these.
Lab Tech: Yeah, well -- uh -- when I saw Cassadine on the news with that gangster's girlfriend, I -- I realized he's even richer than you. That test would be worth an awful lot to him.
Jax: Huh. How much do you want?
Lab Tech: Oh, 1.5 million would be nice.
Jax: Why don't we make it 2 million, hmm? How does that grab you? Kind of exciting, isn't it, blackmailing someone out of $2 million. Oh, your hand's shaking. That means you're nervous. That's telling me that -- that you realize how stupid this is, and how badly it could -- and it will -- end for you if you ever, ever come back and ask for more money, or approach Nikolas Cassadine in any way. Do I make myself clear?
Lab Tech: Yeah.
Epiphany: I just got a call from Iris Sneed in administration.
Elizabeth: Doesn't that woman ever sleep?
Epiphany: She wants us to prep Lucky to move him to County -- tonight.
Elizabeth: And you told her you wouldn't do it, right?
Epiphany: It's hospital policy for patients without insurance.
Elizabeth: Hospital policy? Well, you can remind Ms. Sneed that Lucky wouldn't even be in this hospital if personnel hadn't hired some known murderer to mop the floor, and if that same killer hadn't had the opportunity to drag me out of here at knife-point. You can ask her if she knows how to spell "lawsuit," and then you can tell that petty little bean counter that if anybody even thinks about moving my husband, that his brother, Nikolas Cassadine, the most generous benefactor on the hospital board, is going to pull out every single dime in this place and Ms. Sneed and you will be out on the streets.
Tracy: Just because I don't want your father dragged off into the jungle by some make-believe, money-grubbing secret agent doesn't mean that I care about him.
Lulu: You love him.
Tracy: If you say that again, I will send you to boarding school.
Lulu: I knew it.
Alan: Well. The sooner we get this charade over, the sooner we get Luke out of the house.
Monica: So let's get going, hmm?
Ned: Or maybe my mother will be going with Luke to the Markham Islands, you know, sort of a second honeymoon.
Dillon: I bet you the whole thing is another conspiracy and Robert Scorpio’s $50,000 bounty's another cover.
Georgie: Don't start, Dillon.
Lulu: Oh, he was right last time.
Ned: I don't really care where Luke ends up as long as it's not here.
Ned: So, can we get this thing rolling?
Skye: People, excuse me, this is a wedding. Could we at least pretend to wish the bride and groom the very best?
Lorenzo: Hmm. That's a generous thought.
Monica: Well, those pregnancy hormones have obviously turned her brains to mush.
Tracy: Oh, please continue to talk among yourselves. The -- uh -- minister isn't here yet.
Alice: Yes, I am!
Skye: You're the minister?
Alice: That's right.
Lorenzo: When did you become a minister?
Alice: Well, not too long ago. I was ordained by the Church of Online Divinity.
Skye: Oh --
Dillon: That is so cool. Yeah.
Georgie: Wait, is this even legal?
Monica: It really doesn't matter. Luke and Tracy are just renewing their vows -- God knows why. They don't need a minister.
Georgie: Well, the collar's very cute.
Alice: Why, thank you. And I'd like to bless all of you, legally and officially. I can do that now since I'm not just the maid anymore. I'm a real-life minister and we're going to have ourselves a real-life wedding.
Tracy: Now all we need is a real-live groom.
Luke: The truth is, Robert, I'm a little bit embarrassed about this. Why should I be so frightened? You and I, we've dangled from burning helicopters, we've jumped off speeding trains, we were able to leap tall buildings at a single bound. I mean, we've laughed in the face of death.
Robert: You're obviously waiting for an injunction, a getaway car, perhaps both. Now, I'll be reasonable, but don't wait too long.
Luke: Cynicism from my Best Man -- I'm very disappointed.
Robert: Well, you already said you couldn't go through with the ceremony.
Luke: Well, I got a bad case of cold feet.
Robert: You'll be lucky if you have any feet by the time the island police are finished with you.
Luke: You're not going to let them beat the skin from my dogs, are you, Best Man?
Robert: Just get on with the wedding.
Luke: Look, I got no trouble marrying Tracy if it's a scam, if I'm drunk, if there's money involved, but this whole idea of actually giving -- giving vows from the heart, I can't do it.
Robert: Well, you seem quite fond of each other.
Luke: Well, I'm very fond of her. Very fond. In many ways, she's the perfect wife for me. But the only time I've ever said vows and meant them was with Laura -- happiest day of my life, you were there. It was full of possibility. How can I possibly declare my devotion to spanky buns?
Tracy: Find a way. Mr. Scorpio, I need a moment alone with my once and future husband. Do you think you could drum up a little tact and leave us alone?
Robert: Ok. I'm going to leave you and sparky butt here to figure things out. But don't push your luck. 50 grand may not be much to someone like you, but it's a lot to someone like me.
Luke: Did you reach the attorney?
Tracy: No, I thought you had. I thought that's what was taking so long. Everybody downstairs is waiting.
Luke: Scorpio's getting suspicious; that's not good. Go back downstairs and stall.
Luke: So I can reach the lawyer and find out what's taking so damn long to get the injunction.
Tracy: Call him now.
Luke: Oh, we need a minister. Uh -- that's going to take some time. Let's try and find a minister.
Tracy: We have a minister -- Alice.
Tracy: Alice. She got ordained online.
Luke: That woman can do anything.
Tracy: Well, she's going to run through the ceremony like a drill sergeant.
Luke: Yeah, see, and that's not good either, because then it'll be over in a second. It'll be like, "I do," "I do," blah, blah, blah, and then Scorpio will drag me off to some sadistic South Seas podiatrist.
Tracy: What if we write our own vows? We could go on and on and on about how much we love each other, for hours if need be. Or at least until the lawyer calls.
Luke: Tracy, you're the best. I don't know what to say.
Tracy: Hmm. You don't have to thank me. But you will owe me for the rest of your life.
Luke: No, I mean I don't know what to say in the vows. I need some time to think it through.
[Knock on door]
Jax: You know, I really -- I don't appreciate you running out on our date like that.
Carly: Can I come in?
Jax: Sure. I wasn't expecting to see you again tonight.
Carly: Two people I love are on the verge of destroying each other -- that's a hell of a lot more important than dinner and a roll in the sack to me.
Jax: Then what are you doing here?
Carly: God, I'm an idiot. Get this -- I needed a friend. Sorry to bother you. I'm out of here.
Jax: Stop, stop.
Elizabeth: Hey. Sorry, I didn't see you.
Jason: Is it Lucky?
Elizabeth: No, no, it's -- well, yeah, it is, but he's -- he's not any worse.
Jason: What happened?
Elizabeth: When Lucky quit the force he lost his health insurance. And I signed him up for mine, but -- well, you know, there's a waiting period, and then we couldn't afford the premium to cover the gap. Now I can't -- we can't pay for our medical bills, and the hospital wants to transfer him to County tonight --
Jason: How much do you need?
Elizabeth: No, Jason, no. I'm not going to -- no, thank you.
Jason: I don't -- I don't mind. I can pay the hospital bills.
Elizabeth: We will figure something out. I'm going to call Nikolas. He helped us the last time. Or maybe I'll just apply for a loan – oh God, Lucky would hate that. It's just so hard because I love my husband so much, but lately it just seems like it's been one step forward and two steps back, and it's like --
Jason: Like there's nothing you can do to change it.
Tracy: When have you ever been at a loss for words?
Luke: Hey, listen, I have to make this believable, it has to be sincere. Otherwise, Scorpio will never buy it.
Tracy: He doesn't buy it now!
Luke: Well, then get down there and sell, sell, sell, woman. Convince him.
Tracy: Are you trying to get rid of me?
Luke: We can't leave our guests alone. We're the bride and groom.
Tracy: I don't like this.
Luke: Oh, God. You know what I was thinking earlier? This kills me -- imagine Skye’s face when she has to stand there and listen to me tell the assembled throng how much I love you and how complete and wonderful you've made my life. Huh?
Tracy: You're right, that is delicious. No one's going to believe it.
Luke: Well, we will -- part of it. Nothing could ever compare to our nuptials in Vegas.
Tracy: I'll never forget waking up in that hotel room.
Luke: I love it when you scream -- in bed.
Tracy: Ok, now, I know you're up to something, I just don't know what it is.
Luke: Don't be so suspicious. Come on, I need you to go downstairs and tell everybody that your loving husband will be down in a minute, but I'm up here right now writing my little heart out.
Tracy: Just don't take all night.
Lulu: It's a long way down.
Jax: I'm sorry. You've been a really good friend to me for the last three months, and that was uncalled for. I'm -- I was acting like a jealous idiot. I'm sorry.
Carly: You know, you say that I'm obsessing over Sonny. I think it's the other way around.
Jax: I'm just trying to learn from my mistakes. Sonny and I almost destroyed Brenda. You know, we were fighting over her and playing tug of war -- it ruined her life. I just -- I don't want that to happen to you.
Carly: My life has been ruined before. And I've rebuilt it. And I'm not going to trash it again for anyone. I went to Sonny's because there's serious trouble. I came here because I need you.
Elizabeth: Sorry to dump all this on you.
Jason: It's all right.
Elizabeth: You always say that. The last thing you need to be thinking about is Lucky's medical bills, especially when this whole Sonny/Emily thing is going on.
Jason: It's over.
Elizabeth: What? They broke up?
Jason: Not yet.
Elizabeth: What did you do?
Jason: Taken away Sonny's business. If Sonny wants his business, he's going to have to give up Emily.
Elizabeth: You're just trying to save your sister no matter what it costs you.
Sonny: Who are you?
Sonny: Where's Max?
Richie: He's upstairs.
Sonny: Get him.
Richie: Yes, sir. Bernie's waiting for you inside.
Sonny: Wow -- you look just like Benny. I know you're new, you just walked into a tense situation, and it's all going be worked out because I -- I'm going to work it out with Jason.
Bernie: You -- you've spoken with him?
Sonny: Not yet. What's that?
Bernie: Mr. Morgan asked me to give you these papers.
Sonny: All right, I'll sign them --
Bernie: Well, actually, sir -- um -- they've already been signed for you.
Lulu: Why are you skipping out if Tracy’s trying to help you?
Luke: Uh -- there's been a change in plans.
Lulu: What kind of change?
Luke: You don't need to know the details.
Lulu: Sure I do.
Luke: Holly called.
Luke: Well, she's in trouble. There are people in the Markham Islands trying to kill her.
Lulu: Let them.
Luke: No. She needs me. I mean, she needs my help.
Lulu: You know, people in the hospital needed help when she held the antidote for ransom. Some of them might still be alive if it wasn't for Holly. Why in the world would you want to help this woman? Oh, no. You don't have a thing for her, do you? Oh --
Jason: I don't want to do this. But forcing Sonny to choose between Emily and the business is the best option I can come up with that hurts the fewest people.
Elizabeth: Except you. You're going to get hurt. You'll lose Emily, Sonny, maybe Michael and Morgan.
Jason: It's my only choice.
Elizabeth: Emily loves you, she admires you, and even now she knows that you love her. She's not going to want you to sacrifice everything for her.
Jason: Emily's not going to see this as a sacrifice. Whatever happens next, she's going to need you.
Sonny: The shore accounts, casino profits, funds for the operations -- it's all been moved?
Bernie: Yes, sir.
Sonny: All my business accounts were transferred and I wasn't notified?
Bernie: That's right.
Sonny: Ok. Where are the new accounts? Where did my money go?
Bernie: Mr. Morgan has selected some very --
Sonny: I didn't ask you about Mr. Morgan! I asked you where my money went. I didn't authorize any of these transfers. I want my money back now.
Bernie: Sir, I'm afraid that's not possible.
Sonny: It better be possible! It's my money, profits from my businesses.
Bernie: Sir, if I may pass along a message from Mr. Morgan, he asked me to inform you that he made these changes for your protection. He feels that your current domestic situation is affecting your ability to conduct business.
Sonny: So Jason’s taken everything from me?
Jax: You know, I think this calls for champagne.
Carly: Well, I agree.
Carly: I'm going to call the boys and tell them I'm going to be late. This went better than I expected.
Jax: Well, I did promise you a friendship with benefits.
Carly: Yes, and you've definitely delivered.
Jax: So, what shall we toast to?
Carly: Now, Leticia, I don't -- I want to be there, you know, if -- if he wakes up again. So I'll see you soon. Ok, bye. Oh. Looks like I'm going to have to hurry up and get home, but I could use one glass of champagne.
Jax: Oh, works for me.
Carly: Oh --
Jax: I'm sorry, did I startle you?
Carly: I just -- I'm just a little on edge, that's all. You know.
Jax: On edge, right.
Jax: I understand. Well, to the future.
Luke: I do not have a thing for Holly Sutton.
Lulu: You did once.
Luke: Well, yeah, like a million years ago, and she ended up with Robert Scorpio.
Lulu: Oh. That's even worse. Now you two are in competition, right?
Luke: You know, sometimes you're too smart for your own good.
Lulu: Were you even going to tell me that you were leaving?
Luke: You're smart, I figured you'd figure it out.
Lulu: So you were going to leave Tracy at the altar and let her take it out on me?
Luke: Tracy is no match for you.
Lulu: That's an excuse and you know it. What about Lucky, huh? He needs you.
Luke: What about Lucky? What does he need me for? He's got a wonderful wife.
Lulu: So, in other words, there is nothing that I can say that will keep you from going on your adventure?
Luke: What can I say, daughter? It's -- it's in my blood.
Lulu: So is cholesterol.
Luke: Hey, maybe I'll bring your chimp back. You'd like that, wouldn't you? Or maybe a pet python or a collection of shrunken heads?
Lulu: You know, if you're going to go, go. If you want to risk killing yourself for some heartless con woman who was probably going to use you and leave you, I'm not going to stop you.
Luke: I'll be back. I promise.
Lulu: I won't hold my breath.
Luke: Ok, I'll miss you, too. Now, get down there and tell those people that your old man is up here writing out what he's going to say so that he can plight his troth to the stepmonster.
Tracy: So why is it so impossible for all of you to believe that Luke might be serious?
Alan: Where do I start?
Ned: Why do you think Luke genuinely wants to renew his wedding vows when he planned to divorce you before you were even married the first time?
Tracy: Things change. I might not be the love of Luke’s life, but then again, nobody is. And Luke and I have an understanding.
Monica: Oh, come on, Tracy. You're just trying to hang on to your $15 million.
Tracy: I have every right to that money.
Lulu: Dad will be down in a second.
Alan: What's taking so long?
Lulu: He wants the vows to be perfect.
Tracy: I rest my case.
Robert I'm going back up there.
Alice: Well, the ceremony's about to begin.
Robert: I'll just be a moment.
Alice: Come on, places, everyone!
Robert: You can't do this.
Alice: Look, I'm a legally ordained minister. This is my show, and I say it's about to begin, so stand there and be quiet. Come on, everyone.
Sonny: I'm sorry for losing my temper there. Your -- your brother, may he rest in peace, he worked for me for a long time. He died trying to help me. His wife and kids are doing ok?
Bernie: They appreciate the money. You're very generous, sir.
Sonny: Your brother knew how things worked around here. He would've never gone along with Jason’s unfortunate decision. He would've told me -- it was his job to. I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt. But you need to understand that Jason is my employee. I depend on him, but he works for me, just like you do.
Bernie: Sir, I mean no disrespect, but now that the changes have been made, technically, I work for Jason -- we all do.
Sonny: Then what are you still doing in my house?
Elizabeth: Thanks for walking me back.
Jason: No problem. Are you sure I can't help you with the bill?
Elizabeth: No, please. I -- Nikolas will help me out, hopefully. And I pray that it all works out for -- for all of you.
Jason: Yeah. I'll see you later.
Elizabeth: Fourth floor. Jason, wait. Sonny needs to see you immediately.
Monica: This is ridiculous.
Ned: Shh. We're wasting our time.
Alan: You want Luke out of the house or not?
Lulu: He'll be here.
Luke: Oh, God. I'm getting too old for this.
Lorenzo: I'm going to go get the groom so we can move this forward.
Skye: No. It's ok. I'm fine, I'm fine.
Robert: He could've written a sequel to "War and Peace" by now.
Lulu: He's a slow writer.
Robert: Something's wrong.
Tracy: I've been left at the altar! Luke Spencer, damn you!
Elizabeth: Hey -- I'm sorry about going off on you earlier. It was unprofessional and unwarranted.
Epiphany: Apology accepted.
Epiphany: But I did tell Ms. Sneed exactly what you said, word for word, and you have never seen a woman dial a telephone so fast. She canceled Lucky's transfer to County, and she made a special notation on your account.
Elizabeth: Thanks. You're the best.
Epiphany: I'm just doing my job.
Jax: Hey. I'm just here to see my son.
Carly: So what am I supposed to do, huh? Nikolas is your father. And Jax knows it and he's been lying about it from the beginning. So what am I supposed to do, huh? Do I keep the lie? Do I keep Jax’s secret? Do I tell Jax that I know the truth? Oh, I mean, Jax has to have his reasons. He'd have to have his reasons. I mean, not all lies are bad. Sometimes secrets need to be kept. I mean, if Robin wouldn't have told the world that Jason wasn't Michael’s father, so many bad things that are happening right this second wouldn't have happened. Now, what about Courtney? Oh, my God. I mean, did your mother die thinking that Jax was your father? Oh, Courtney. Oh, if you could hear me, I need a sign. I need you to give me a sign. I don't know what to do. I mean, do I keep my mouth shut? Or do I tell Nikolas that he's John's father?
Michael: Jason. I'm so glad you could make it.
Jason: What are you doing here?
Michael: Um -- I live here. Come on.
Sonny: I'm glad you came over. I've been trying to leave you messages all over town. We're having pasta.
Michael: With meat sauce, our favorite
Sonny: You want to join us?
Michael: Sit next to me.
Sonny: All right, now, before we start, I -- I just -- I want to make a toast. To friendship. It's carried us a long, long way.
>> Stay tuned for scenes from the next "General Hospital."
>> On the next "General Hospital"-
Alan: Sounds like somebody fell.
Tracy: Or jumped.
Robert: Tell me where he's headed.
Nikolas: I'm not here to cause trouble -- I just want to take a look at the boy who would've been my stepson.
Sonny: I wanted the boys to have one last memory.
Jason: Now what?
Sonny: You and I are enemies.
