[Carnival music plays]
Georgie: Diego, hi -- sorry. Can you please help me clear something up? What were we talking about when they showed up?
Diego: Um -- I was working the carnival and she walked by and we were about to go -- go our separate ways just like she wanted.
Diego: I agreed. It's not a good idea for us to be friends anymore. You happy now?
Diego: Excuse me. Hello?
Lorenzo: I need to see you.
Diego: Dad, look, I'll try to stop by tomorrow.
Lorenzo: This won't wait. You're in danger right now.
Lucky: Hey, shooter! Get down!
Lorenzo: Diego? Diego?
Maxie: Jesse? Jesse -- oh, my God. Oh, my God! Jesse! Jesse! Come on, Jesse.
Alan: Your father is at the top of the donor transplant list.
Patrick: It doesn't matter, Alan. There's no liver available and we're out of time. I want you to give him part of mine.
Alan: It's not that simple.
Patrick: I'm of age, sound mind and body, and I agree. What's the problem?
Alan: You know what the problem is -- I can't just give your liver to Noah. I mean, there are tests and procedures --
Patrick: Which I've done.
Alan: Which you started. The full protocol is going to take some time.
Patrick: Stop pretending like he has any. Either he gets a liver or he dies.
Alexis: I know that you've been following me and I'm not angry. I'm concerned that your anger is fueling Jason and Jason then --
Sam: No, no, Alexis, I hate you for my own reasons and there are so many I don't even know where to start, so maybe --
Carly: Alexis, it's so nice to see you here with your daughter. How cute is Kristina?
Jason: Who are you protecting? Who are you trying to save, because it's not us? Every day that we do nothing is another day we give Manny to make a move and get away with it. Every day that Alcazar draws breath, it gives him that much more time to wreck what we've built.
Sonny: We're not ready. We take action now, it would be a mistake.
Jason: Why? Just tell me why.
Sonny: I don't have to explain myself to you. I said no. I heard what you had to say; I rejected it. Now do what you do best -- take orders from me.
Alan: Patrick, don't get ahead of yourself. I know you've started the process, but there's a lot of work left to be done -- lab panels, psych tests, and even then, you still may not make the cut. Only 20% of living donor applicants are ever approved for transplants.
Patrick: There's nothing you can tell me about a living donor transplant that I don't already know. I'm not only versed on every stage of the protocol, I can tell you the risks to both my father and I backwards while standing on my head.
Alan: Then you know that what I'm saying to you is true.
Patrick: Don't you get it? I don't have the luxury of time to go step for step for your almighty protocol.
Alan: Look, I know you're living in hell and I'm sorry --
Patrick: You're sorry, Alan? Listen to me -- my father is dying right before my eyes! Now, I will go through you, through this hospital, and through anyone else who stands in the way of giving my father a chance to live!
Alan: Ok. Now, I want you to take a deep breath. I understand your frustration, but you're not going to help your father by threatening me. Now, I want you to find yourself a nice, quiet corner and get ahold of yourself. I will speak to you later when you're calmed down.
Robin: Alan's right. Being --
Patrick: Donít. You are not going to do this. I'm not going to let you kill yourself.
Carly: You know, Morgan asks about Kristina all the time.
Alexis: How lovely.
Carly: The boys adore her. We should really get them together for a play date.
Alexis: Will do.
Carly: I hope you mean that. You know, I would hate to think that you're going to let our personal differences interfere in their relationship.
Alexis: I'm not even going to pretend to know what's going on here and you know that I don't care, but Sam and I are having a private conversation.
Carly: I wouldn't dream of interrupting. Down to here.
Alexis: Sam, I know you're following me. My husband has seen you and it's got to stop. I have tried to mend fences with you, but for some reason, you are hell-bent on blaming me for everything that has gone wrong in your life, and I can't do anything about that. But this stalking has to stop. You and Jason have got to leave my family alone.
Carly: Ok. Far be it for me to ever agree with that witch, but in this case, she's right. You need to back off, unless you want Alexis to find out that she's your mother.
Jason: That's how it is?
Sonny: Yeah, well, that's the way it's always been.
Jason: Not always.
Sonny: Ahem. Alcazar came to me in peace, explained everything.
Jason: When did -- when did you start believing anything that Alcazar says?
Sonny: I believe he acts in his own self-interest. He wouldn't confess to this whole Manny setup if he didn't reconsider. All Alcazar wants is to get out of this with as little collateral damage as possible. Alcazar said he -- he came to you first.
Jason: Yeah, he did. I gave him the attention that he warranted -- that was it.
Sonny: Next time you talk to one of my enemies, I'd like to know about it first. And I don't want to hear that I was unavailable. The point is Alcazar's expecting a baby with Skye. We both know how the idea of a baby changes your perspective and your priorities. The last thing Alcazar wants to do is escalate the tension to the point where the baby and Skye are in danger. He wants to make peace. I want to make peace.
Jason: What? You're just going to lie down, do nothing?
Sonny: No, I'm going to accept his -- we're going to accept his offer.
Jason: What about Manny? What about Manny? Alcazar's backing Manny. Is he part of this peace rally, too? Because he is one of the craziest people we have ever dealt with. He needs to be taken out.
Sonny: That's Alcazar's problem.
Jason: The hell it is!
Maxie: Somebody help me! Somebody help me! Jesse, can you hear me?
Dillon: Maxie, Maxie, let them help! Let them --
Dillon: Let them help.
Maxie: Stop! No!
Elizabeth: Oh, my God!
Lucky: We need an ambulance at the carnival site in the park. An officer is down, so get here fast!
Maxie: Is he going to be ok?
Skye: Somebody call an ambulance!
Maxie: Oh, my God!
Diego: Dad, I'm here. I'm here.
Lorenzo: Did I hear gunfire?
Diego: A cop got shot.
Lorenzo: All right, get out of there now. I will find you.
Skye: What about "gunfire"?
Lorenzo: There was a shooting in the park. Diego's fine. I have to go.
Maxie: I don't know that guy.
Lucky: Hey, where do you think you're going?
(Dramatic music playing)
Maxie: What is going on?
Elizabeth: What's the E.T.A. on the paramedics?
Lucky: They're en route.
Maxie: What is taking so long?
Dillon: Shh, shh, shh.
Maxie: Is he breathing?
Maxie: Can he breathe on his own? My God!
Elizabeth: Maxie, we're doing the best we can.
Maxie: Maybe I can help! I know C.P.R.! Please let me hold his hand. He needs to know that I'm here.
Dillon: Maxie, Maxie --
Maxie: He needs to know that I'm here!
Dillon: Listen to me. You listen to me now, ok? Do you want to help Jesse, huh? You stay calm, all right? I know how strong you are. I have seen it. I have seen you pull through it, ok? Get ahold of yourself, stop screaming, and pray for Jesse, ok?
Maxie: He has a bullet in his head!
Dillon: I know. People live through that. I've seen it, all right? I've heard stories -- people live through that.
Maxie: Ok. Ok.
Paramedic: We'll take over.
Emily: Gunshot wound to the head. He's lost a lot of blood.
Maxie: Thank you for helping him.
Elizabeth: He's going to get the best care possible
Maxie: I know. I appreciate it. You have blood on you. I'm so sorry.
Elizabeth: Maxie, just stay focused on him. He can feel your love, ok? Just send it to him.
Mac: Maxie -- Maxie? Lucky -- Maxie?
Maxie: He got shot in the head! I don't even -- I don't even know how it happened. There was fireworks and everybody was laughing and then Lucky came in and he yelled something like "gun" or "shooter." I don't -- I don't remember, and then all of a sudden, everybody was on the ground! And for a second, I thought it was Lucky that had been shot and then -- and then Jesse didn't get up and for another moment, I don't -- still didn't understand. And I saw blood.
Mac: Ok, ok, ok, sweetheart, sweetheart.
Maxie: Oh, no, dad. Dad, it's ok. People survive getting shot in the head all the time. Dillon said so. I believe him. I mean, I've -- I've seen stories about it. I'm just trying to remember. You know what's weird is the fireworks were louder than the gunshots.
Mac: How's he doing?
Paramedic: We need to get him to G.H. immediately.
Maxie: No, I want to -- I want to ride with him.
Dillon: Georgie and I will drive you to the hospital.
Maxie: No, I'm not going to lose it in the ambulance. I just -- I really want to stay with him.
Paramedic: Move. One, two, three --
Mac: All right, everybody, clear -- make a path. Make a path.
Maxie: Thanks again for helping him.
Lucky: Is he going to make it?
Elizabeth: There's no way to tell. Lucky.
Jason: Why aren't you getting this? Manny is not Alcazar's problem. He's our problem; he's been our problem. Alcazar is not going to handle him -- they were partners.
Sonny: This is a trap you don't want to fall into -- thinking you've been taking orders from me so long that you know how to run things, because you donít.
Patrick: Dad, dad, dad. Determined to be the bane of my existence till the bitter end. You won't take a transplant because you don't think you deserve it. Won't take part of my liver, either, because you don't want to risk my health or you can't stand the thought of owing me that much. Expect everybody to just sit around, twiddle their thumbs, and watch you die. Well, I have a problem with that. See, I save lives. That's what I do and you can only blame yourself for that. You gave me the love for healing, a role model of sensitivity and brilliance. I didn't get much of the sensitivity part, but you have to admit, I took your brilliance and raised you one. What I'm trying to say is you gave me my life, twice. And now you expect me to not try and save yours? I've never lost a patient, not once. You're not going to be my first. I am not going to let you haunt me.
Ric: This has officially turned into a science project. So, what did Sam have to say outside?
Alexis: I confronted her and she didn't deny it.
Ric: Yeah? Did she give you a reason?
Alexis: Same reason she's always been giving me -- it's the laundry list of things that I've done wrong. What concerns me is that she has this look in her eye. It's -- it's out of control and I don't want any trouble, but if she doesn't stop it, I'm going to have to do something.
Ric: Yeah, well, that's why I told her I was going to call the police if she didnít. I'm not going to have somebody as unhinged as she running around town stalking after my wife. I think mommy needs a hug.
Ric: That's good.
Sam: Where did you get such a crazy idea -- Alexis, my mother? I think you need to take yourself back to the Metro Court and occupy your mind, Carly.
Carly: Sam, you might as well have it tattooed to your forehead -- the way you've been lurking in corners watching every move that Alexis makes, trying to find something of yourself in everything she does? Even I couldn't make up something this crazy.
Sam: Ok, I know you didn't hear it from Jason -- so?
Carly: A folder on your desk marked --
Sam: On my desk?
Carly: "Alexis Davidovitch."
Sam: You broke into our apartment?
Carly: I didn't break into your apartment, ok? The door was wide open, I walked in. This isn't the first time I've done something like that.
Sam: I -- I am well aware of that, but when did you make it your business to go through my things?
Carly: I didn't go through your things, ok? It was sitting out in the open, big, fat, letters with the name that Alexis doesn't use anymore. What person who hates her wouldn't have looked at it? Look, I'm sorry for invading your privacy, but --
Sam: No, you are not sorry, Carly. You're loving every minute of this.
Carly: Ok. Sam?
Sonny: I don't want to be harsh with you, but there's a reason why I'm in charge of the organization and you're not. You don't see the big picture.
Jason: Obviously, I see more clearly than you right now because you're going along like everything is under control and it is not under control. Things are more dangerous than they've been in a long time. Alcazar and Manny are allies, and you're taking -- you're taking Alcazar's word, giving him all the time in the world to set up against us, Sonny. If you don't start taking care of business, things are going to end badly for you, for me, and everyone around us. You know that's true.
Max: Sorry, boss.
Sonny: What do you want?
Det. Rodriguez: We need to question you in connection with the shooting in the park. More specifically, the attempted murder of Lorenzo Alcazar's son.
Elizabeth: Can you take Cameron over to Audreyís and wait for us there?
Georgie: Absolutely. Cameron's going to be fine.
Elizabeth: Ok, babe, go with Georgie, ok?
Georgie: Come on.
Elizabeth: Go with Georgie.
Elizabeth: Ok. Love you, boo-boo. All right, I'll see you guys.
Elizabeth: Thanks. Ok, bye, baby.
Georgie: Are you mad at me?
Dillon: Mad at you? Why -- just because you continually insist on defending a drug-dispensing stalker who almost got you killed in a hit-and-run? Why would I be mad?
Diego: Jesse attacked --
Lorenzo: What happened?
Mac: You tell me-- you tell me. Any idea who might want to kill your son?
Lorenzo: Of course not.
Lucky: If I had to make a bet, I'd put my money on Sonny and Jason.
Monica: Detective Beaudry?
Monica: Any changes en route?
Paramedic: B.P. dropped to 108/72; he's tachycardic at 112. We've been bagging him and unable to intubate.
Epiphany: Trauma One.
Monica: And page Dr. Drake.
Epiphany: Already done. C.T. is also ready as soon as he's tubed.
Monica: Great. Ok, let's move him.
Patrick: What do we got?
Monica: A gunshot wound to the head. They couldn't intubate him. He's hypotensive --
Patrick: Ok, we need to hyperventilate him to reduce cerebral edema. Keep the head of the bed raised 15-20 degrees and call me when the C.T. results are in. Also, prep the O.R.
Patrick: I want to operate as soon as possible.
Monica: You got it.
Robin: No, you can't do that.
Orderly: You know, the cops want to be notified as soon as this clown wakes up so they can question him.
Carly: Come on. Look, I am trying to apologize to you, ok? I shouldn't have given you a hard time. I shouldn't have said the whole "Alexis, how is your daughter?" I mean, especially in front --
Sam: You see, this is what I'm talking about. This is a joke to you.
Carly: It's not a joke to me, ok? For the first time, I can empathize with you. My mother gave me up when I was a baby, ok? And when I found out about it, I was mad as hell. And I was determined to find Bobbie and I was even more determined to make her pay.
Sam: You really can't compare the two. Your mother is a kind, loving, compassionate woman who probably regrets giving up her baby. My mother is not. She is a cold-blooded, manipulative horror who probably didn't give it -- me -- another thought.
Carly: Well, that's my point, Sam. Bobbie and I worked things out. That's never going to happen between you and Alexis. There's not going to be this mother-daughter reunion, ok? There's only going to be pain. It's a lose-lose situation, so if you open that door, the mother that you want will not be standing there, and you will lose Jason forever.
Lucky: Ok, here's what I know -- Alcazar paid a bad cop to give him a key to Manny's ankle monitor.
Mac: And you're telling me this now? After two men including your partner have been shot?
Lucky: Listen, I didn't want to tip my hand. If Alcazar or Manny found out that I was onto them, they could've covered their tracks. I just wanted enough proof that they were working together before I brought you in.
Mac: I wish you would've handled it different, Lucky. Look, what's done is done. What's your take on the shooting?
Lucky: Alcazar and Manny were planning on going after Sonny. Sonny and Jason probably found out and they decided to warn them off by taking a shot at Alcazar's son.
Sonny: Tell me you're all right..
Emily: Don't worry about me. I'm fine.
Sonny: You sure? You all right?
Emily: I'm positive. Jesse wasn't so lucky.
Sonny: Yeah, I know. The cops are going to be questioning us.
Emily: You'd better go, then.
Mac: From what we can determine, Diego Alcazar was the intended target. Lucky pushed him out of the way, and one of my officers took a bullet to the head. That makes me very motivated to solve this case. So tell me who, besides you two, had a reason to see Diego dead.
Sonny: Didn't I hear somebody say that Diego snitched on somebody in prison? I mean, that stuff follows you out. Plus, we can't forget who his father is. Alcazar -- he's got a lot of enemies. His enemies would love to hurt him through his son. Not me. I don't shoot kids, Mac.
Mac: What's your story? Or should I even bother to ask? Because whatever comes out of Sonny's mouth goes for you, too.
Jason: I didn't do it. I don't know who did.
Mac: That's real helpful.
Jason: That's all I know.
Mac: I don't care about your stupid territories or whatever it is you people fight about. I care about my city and the citizens that I've been sworn to serve and protect. There is not going to be another war.
Sonny: I'm with you 100%, Mac. No wars.
Jason: Are we free to go?
Mac: Keep yourselves available.
Elizabeth: Do you remember when we were seeing each other? I couldn't handle what you do for a living? And now the second I get scared for Lucky, who's the person I run to for protection? You. Knowing exactly what that could mean.
Jason: What do you think happened here?
Elizabeth: I don't know. I don't know. All I know for sure is that my husband's partner, who was standing right next to him, has a gaping hole in the back of his head. What if that bullet was meant for Lucky? What if Alcazar and Manny found out that I went to you?
Jason: Elizabeth, Elizabeth -- you had nothing to do with what happened here tonight. And in case you're wondering, neither did I.
Mac: I'm going to tell you the same thing I told Sonny and Jason. I won't tolerate another mob war. If Sonny tried to kill your son, I'll see that he pays. But the same goes for you. If you go after Sonny or anyone close to him, I'll take you down.
Sam: First of all, I don't think you would care if Jason left me, so don't try and lie to me. And secondly, Jason isn't going anywhere, not for Alexis, not for anybody else.
Carly: You can relax, ok? I'm on your side with this. And not because I want to be your best friend, because I already have one. And that's Jason. And he loves you. And he wants to spend the rest of his life with you. So if you tell Alexis that she's your mother -- ok, this is how I see it playing out. Knowing about you is going to call into question all of Alexis' beliefs about what being a good mother is. She'll be compelled to rewrite history. And she'll do everything in her power to win you over, not because she loves you so very much, but because she needs it for her ego. You, on the other hand -- you are going to be coming from a very true emotional place. And you are going to be vulnerable to Alexis. Because you have this hole in your soul where your mother's supposed to be. You're going to want to find the good Alexis. You're going to believe that somewhere buried down deep inside, there's got to be a good person. You're going to have all these questions colliding in your head -- who am I? Where did I come from? And before you know what hit you, you are going to be under Alexis' influence and control. And you can mark my words on this. She will start to undermine your relationship with Jason, and that is his worst fear.
Sam: He told you that?
Carly: Not in so many words, Sam, but I know him. You got to think about this, ok? You got to think long and hard. And you need to decide what's more important to you. Alexis' crocodile tears about why she had to give you up? Or your life here with Jason, the man you love?
Robin: It is too soon to operate. His blood pressure needs to be stabilized. And we need to start him on mannitol to reduce the swelling in his brain.
Patrick: Obviously, you didn't hear me the first time. I'm operating as soon as possible.
Robin: Obviously, you didn't hear me. He's not stable.
Patrick: Look, we should make a notification, but on Jesseís chart, there's no next of kin.
Robin: Well, Maxie is closest to him.
Patrick: We should talk to her.
Robin: Let me handle this. Hey. How are you holding up?
Maxie: Not real well. Scared.
Robin: Yeah. I know. We have to ask you something.
Robin: Who would be in a position to make decisions for Jesse?
Maxie: What kind of decision?
Patrick: Look, Jesse needs to be operated on. Dr. Scorpio wants to wait till he's more stable. If we don't operate, he's going to end up a vegetable.
Robin: Waiting means less risk to Jesseís life.
Maxie: Well, can you promise me if we wait, he's going to be ok?
Robin: No, I canít. I'm sorry, I can't make that guarantee.
Maxie: Then operate on him as soon as possible. That's right, Jesse, you sleep now. You need to save your strength, because you're going to need it to get through this operation. Once it's done, you're going to -- you're going to get better. You're going to be as good as new, because we still have to go to Chicago, remember? I'm going to hold you to that. I'll be right back. How is his condition?
Monica: It's not good.
Maxie: How bad is it?
Monica: Maxie, it's very critical. I mean, we're not going to know the extent of the brain damage till we get the tests back, but Dr. Drake may be the best surgeon we have in this country, but the damage just may be too extensive. Well, anyway, I noticed there's no next of kin on Jesseís chart.
Maxie: I'm the closest thing he has to family. You can tell me whatever it is.
Monica: Sweetheart, come on. You've got enough on your plate right now with him being as sick as he is. Isn't there anybody else?
Maxie: I can handle it. He would want me to.
Monica: Ok, well, I need to know if he is an organ donor.
Maxie: We don't have to think about that. This operation could be a success.
Monica: Yes, it could be. And we're all hoping it's going to be. But you know as well as I do, Maxie, that it could go the other way. And if it does, we have to move quickly.
Maxie: Monica, I just can't bear to think of you arranging to give him away in pieces.
Monica: I know, sweetie. I'm so sorry.
Maxie: He can't die. I love him.
Monica: I know you do. I know you do.
Maxie: Oh, God. Jesse and I did have this discussion, and I wasn't thrilled with his decision, but he knew being a cop meant risking his life every day. It's his donor card.
Elizabeth: I got an update on Jesseís condition. He's alive. But they're deciding whether they should operate now or hold off until he stabilizes.
Lucky: Jesse wasn't even supposed to be working tonight.
Diego: I appreciate the warning. I understand there is trouble, but can take care of myself.
Lorenzo: Diego, you are so naive. Get your stuff. You are coming home with me.
Diego: Dad, I'm fine.
Lorenzo: No arguments. You are a walking target. Sonny Corinthos tried to kill you because of me. I am not going to make it easy for him to take another shot at you.
Sam: Hey. Guess who just left. Carly. And I know that she knows that Alexis is my mother and I know that she told you after -- are you ok?
Sam: What happened?
Jason: Whew. A shooting in the park. That cop who's Maxieís boyfriend.
Jason: Caught a bullet in the head. The shooter was after Diego, and I am sure that Manny was behind it. But I can't get Sonny to deal with anything right now, because he's so preoccupied with Emily.
Sam: Ok, look, I know that you hate what's going on between Sonny and Emily -- as much as my situation with Alexis. There may be some things in our life that are out of our control right now, but we don't have to let that control us. Look, no one and nothing is going to come between us. I'll never let that happen.
Carly: Are you looking for me?
Jax: Actually, I was.
Carly: Well, your timing's perfect, then.
Jax: Really? Boys not home?
Carly: No. Leticia took them out for pizza. Why? Were you hoping to jump my bones here on the couch?
Jax: Well, that's an appealing thought.
Jax: What? You seem a little distracted.
Carly: Yeah, I am. I was just thinking about children and their parents, and whether biology matters as much as love.
Emily: Sonny, I know I'm not supposed to be here --
Sonny: It's ok, it's ok.
Emily: But I had to see you.
Sonny: How are the kids?
Emily: They're upstairs. They're sleeping.
Sonny: Wait, wait, wait. Listen to me, ok? I almost -- I almost lost you tonight. You could have been killed in the park.
Emily: Sonny, I can see what's happening. You're starting to blame yourself. Donít. You had nothing to do with the shooting.
Sonny: I didn't order it, but it happened because of me. You could have been caught --
Emily: I wasn't --
Sonny: In the --
Emily: I wasnít. I'm safe, right here in your arms.
Robin: I need to talk to you.
Patrick: It'll have to wait. I'm getting ready for surgery.
Robin: You're not doing it.
Patrick: Are you a broken record?
Patrick: What's this?
Robin: A list of alternative surgeons.
Patrick: I'm the only doctor in this hospital that can do the surgery.
Robin: I saw Jesseís chart, and so did you. His blood type matches Noahís. He could be a match. He could be a liver donor for your father.
Patrick: So what are you saying?
Robin: If you operate and Jesse doesn't survive, it won't look like an accident.
Manny: Sweet dreams.
Epiphany: Code blue.
Carly: Hey. You like that, huh?
Jax: Yeah. Wow. You know, this is a really nice wine. We should probably serve something other than cheesy chips with it.
Carly: You shouldn't knock cheesy chips. There's a reason they're sold in convenience stores nationwide.
Carly: Because they're yummy.
Jax: Hmm. Oh.
Carly: Or is that my genes talking?
Jax: I'm sorry, you've -- you've lost me completely.
Carly: Well, it's what I was taking about earlier. Does biology matter? You know, Michael couldn't be more like Sonny. They think alike, they act alike -- which is not necessarily a very good thing -- all the time. But Morgan actually acts like Jason, which makes no sense because they're not biologically related any more than Sonny and Michael.
Jax: I'm sorry, where -- where are you going with this?
Carly: And Morgan likes vegetables, just like Sonny. So that has to be bred in him. And my mother, and God forbid, my Uncle Luke, you know, I see similarities with them. And then I look at my little cousin, Lulu, and I see myself all over again, but I haven't spent more than a couple hours with her. So biology has to matter.
Jax: I -- I think love is more important. You know, there are lots of children in this world who grow up without their biological parents and, you know, they turn out just fine. Actually, sometimes, they're -- they're better off. Sometimes they're a lot better off, so --
Carly: Yeah, but they still have questions. I did. I think anyone who grows up separated from their biological parents are always going to have questions. I just wonder what they'll do to get those answers.
Jax: Why are you -- why are you pushing this so much?
Carly: I was just thinking about Little John, you know, and how he's never going to know his mom. And that makes me sad.
Jax: Oh. Right. Yeah.
Sonny: Hey. I'm going to have Max follow you home.
Emily: I thought you were glad to see me.
Sonny: It doesn't matter. I shouldn't have rushed to you in the park the way I did. I don't know what I was thinking.
Emily: Sonny, you were showing concern for a friend.
Sonny: Jason is not blind; he's not stupid. And it's not just him I'm thinking about. I have a lot of -- I have a lot of enemies. Alcazar's one of them. His son was targeted tonight. If he thinks I'm responsible, he's going to retaliate in a way he knows that hurts me the most -- by hurting you, by hurting my children. I pretty much gave him the ammunition.
Emily: Sonny, I'm not going to stay away from you. We already tried that. It didn't work. I'll be extra careful. I'll do whatever you ask. But I'm not going to walk away.
Sonny: You have to. At least for tonight. I cannot be seen with you right now. We don't know what's going to happen next.
Emily: Sonny --
Sonny: Listen to me, ok? I'm torn right now between wanting to keep you safe and wanting to be with you.
Sonny: Ok, look, we'll meet tomorrow night, like I told you, at the Cosmopolitan Hotel.
Emily: Yeah -- um -- ok. I love you.

Emily: No! No!
>> On the next "General Hospital" --
Lucky: Any word on Jesse?
Maxie: They're prepping him for surgery.
Robin: Why won't you listen to me?
Patrick: I've never lost a patient, and I don't plan on starting today.
Sonny: Come on in. Thank you for making this easier.
Sam: It was just a dream. You're not going to hurt Sonny, let alone kill him.
Jason: Don't worry, I'm going to take care of the situation.
