General Hospital Transcript Thursday 3/16/06

Jason: This is a bad time, Carly.
Carly: It's about Sonny, Jason, ok?
Jason: Yeah? No, I already left five messages for him. What is so important that he can't call me back? One minute you're telling me he's on a boat, the next minute you say he has this meeting. Is he in trouble? I don't care that he told you he cannot be disturbed, I need to talk to him. It's urgent, ok? You tell him if he doesn't call me back, I'm flying down there myself. What's your problem with Sonny?
Emily: We'll be landing soon and I'll go to the hospital, and you'll -- you'll go home and, and we'll start pretending to live separate lives. Almost like Spain was a dream.
Sonny: Hey, hey. I'm glad it wasnít. Right?
Emily: Me, too.
Sonny: What are you thinking about?
Emily: Oh --
Sonny: The trip?
Emily: I'm wondering when we can -- can be alone again.
Diego: Hey, let go. Let me go.
Man: This is what happens to snitches.
Diego: Agh! Oh! Come on! What! Agh!
Georgie: Get off of him!
Sam: I'm not in the mood, Ric.
Ric: Well, Jason didn't want to hear it, either, Sam. But Kristinaís in danger. And you saved her once before. You can do it again.
Sam: Where is this coming from?
Ric: Manny was talking to Kristina outside of Kellyís this afternoon. Now, I told this to Jason, but he seems to be more concerned with being angry at Alexis and myself than he is in keeping Kristina safe, so I thought that --
Sam: Now, why the hell should I clean up Alexis' mess, after everything she's done to destroy my life?
Diego: Get out of here, Georgie!
Georgie: Get off of him!
Diego: No, no, no, no! Get away!
Georgie: Leave him alone! Leave him alone!
Diego: Georgie, get out! Agh! Get off!
Diego: Let her go!
Man: This isn't your fight. Oh!
Diego: You ok?
Georgie: Yeah, I'm fine, are you?
Diego: You sure? You sure?
Georgie: Yeah. Yes.
Diego: You want to tell me what the hell that was about?
Nikolas: I'm hoping that we can discuss how I can visit John.
Jax: No, there's no discussion, ok? You're not allowed to see John. If you don't mind, I have work to do.
Nikolas: Listen -- listen, I know that I have been antagonistic towards you. But I can assure you --
Jax: I made my position clear.
Nikolas: John is the child that -- that Courtney always wanted; the one she gave her life up for. And I'm just trying -- I'm just trying to stay connected to the woman I loved.
Jax: That's not going to happen, so you can forget it.
Nikolas: Jax, you said so yourself the night that Courtney died. She would want her son to know the man that she was going to marry.
Jax: I won't take chances with my son. You're not allowed to see him.
Nikolas: Just like that, huh?
Jax: I have my own grieving to do.
Nikolas: This -- grieving? This isn't about grieving. This is about jealousy. You can't stand that Courtney divorced you and was going to marry me. Jax, Courtney wanted me to be a part of John's life. You know that as well as I do. But you don't care, do you? You don't care because I took Courtney away from you. And you won't be happy till you take something away from me. Courtney's baby.
Emily: You know, things were so easy in Spain. We were free.
Sonny: Yeah, well, we'll plan another trip soon, all right?
Emily: Where shall we go?
Sonny: Let's see. Anyplace but my island.
Emily: That's funny. That was just the place that I was thinking that I wanted to go.
Sonny: I told you I want everything to be different with you.
Emily: What's different is us. It's not our surroundings. Sonny, I don't want us to hide from your past.
Sonny: I'll think about it.
Emily: Ok. Well, that's a start.
Sonny: All right.
Emily: And in the meantime, we're going to have to find reasons to be together.
Sonny: Right. But this is temporary. Once things settle down, we'll be able to be honest about how we feel.
Carly: I think I'm the reason that Sonny's not calling.
Jason: Why, what happened?
Carly: No -- nothing. I just wanted Sonny to cancel his trip so he could take the boys, but he left sooner than I thought he was going to leave, so I called down there. I left tons of messages. Must have sounded pretty ticked off, and he probably just deleted them all, along with yours. So can I -- you don't need to get in the middle of me and Manny fighting. I'll just talk to you later.
Jason: Ok, hold on.
Jason: You said that we'd both been lied to. What did you mean?
Carly: Nothing, I was just being Carly and mouthing off.
Jason: Carly, what are you -- what are you not trying to tell me?
Sam: You tried to kill Manny yourself. He survived and caused a train wreck, which almost killed your wife and your unborn child. And then you and Alexis went to court and got him set free. Now that he's back on the streets again, you're back to wanting him dead.
Ric: The irony hasn't escaped me, believe me. The point is, what do we do now?
Sam: What exactly has Manny done?
Ric: I told you before, he was talking to Kristina.
Sam: Talking? Threatening her? Hurting her? What?
Ric: No, it's just a feeling I got, Sam.
Sam: Oh, really? Like the feeling I had in the holding room when Manny ripped my blouse off and threatened to rape me?
Ric: I cannot change the verdict, all right? I just don't want the man around my children.
Sam: I never wanted him around, period. But you and Alexis twisted what I did in court and got it turned against me and got Manny set free with a slap on the wrist.
Ric: You still want him gone. Jason can make that happen.
Sam: No, Jason will do what he wants, when he wants.
Ric: Sam, Kristina is Sonny's daughter. If Jason can grasp the fact that she is in danger, then maybe --
Sam: If you are so worried, why don't you finish the job you started and kill Manny yourself? I am sure that your wife will get you acquitted. And if you want to protect your children, pack them up with your hypocritical wife and get out of town. I would be happy to help you with that.
Alexis: Oh. Are you working for a travel agent now? -Can I talk to you for a second?
Manny: No, mira, hermano. I was passing by and I heard a fight. I wanted to help you.
Diego: Yeah, sure you did.
Manny: Listen, you've been away. I'm a different man now.
Georgie: He had an operation and it changed him
Manny: Everyone deserves a second change, right? I'm no one's enemy now. Just ask your father. Ask your father.
Diego: You buy that?
Georgie: Oh, no, I still think he's creepy, but ever since he's had the operation, he's been acting all repentant and sorry for what he did, so I guess I just have to go with it. Ah, Diego, you're bleeding.
Diego: Georgie, what are you doing here alone?
Georgie: Dillon and I were headed to the movies when he got a call from a couple of people in film class, and their lighting guy quit; they begged him to fill in. Now I'm really glad that it happened. We need to call the police.
Diego: No, no, no, no, no. No, we donít.
Carly: Look, I was mad at you because you sent Max to spy on me and Jax, and I assume that order came from Sonny. But obviously you haven't spoken to Sonny and you're in a really bad mood, so I'm out of here.
Jason: That's pretty far-fetched even for you, Carly.
Carly: Wow. Thanks for the vote of confidence. It happens to be the truth. And you know what? Speaking of the truth, you and Sonny are completely wrong about Jax. He happens to be a very nice guy.
Jason: Ok, time to go.
Carly: Look, I know that you hate him --
Jason: No, I don't care about Jax one way or the other.
Carly: Well, he is Little John's father and I have to care about him, so I am trying to get to know this man, keep an open mind, and I suggest you and Sonny do the same thing.
Jason: Ok, that is the end of discussion.
Carly: He can be a great guy.
Jason: Ok, let's go. Let's go.
Carly: You know what? Jax has a hundred reasons not to trust me, but he's giving me the chance, he listens to me, he listens to my opinion, and he respects me, and that makes me feel really good.
Jason: Ok, send me a wedding invitation, ok?
Carly: You know what? He asks me questions about Little John. He listens to all of my stuff.
Jason: Ok, thank you, Carly. Goodbye.
Sam: Good timing. We have a legal problem and we need a professional opinion.
Sam: Yes. Manny has been sniffing around Kristina.
Alexis: What happened?
Ric: He was outside of Kellyís this afternoon. Kristina dropped her doll, he picked it up, and he was talking to her.
Alexis: All right, well, we can't allow that to happen.
Sam: Allow what, exactly? Let's look at the facts here. You like facts, don't you? I mean, from a legal standpoint anyway. Has Manny broken any laws?
Alexis: I don't know, Sam. What did he do? What happened?
Ric: He was chatting. He was being friendly.
Alexis: Was she scared?
Ric: Well, understandably so, Alexis. She was wary. I mean, he's a complete stranger.
Sam: Why don't you just answer the question -- has Manny broken any laws?
Alexis: What is your point?
Sam: The rule of law is the only point. Isn't that what you believe? What has Manny done? He hasn't threatened, assaulted anyone. He was just there, and as a good mother -- and we all know what a great mother you are --
Alexis: Oh --
Ric: Don't, donít.
Sam: Of course you wouldn't want your child around a murdering freak. But since you put the law above everything else -- even the safety of your own children -- you will not presume guilt without proof. After all, you did successfully defend Manny in court, correct?
Alexis: Why don't you just tell me how this all started?
Sam: When your husband asked me to ask Jason to kill Manny.
Sam: "Huh?" Yes. There are all kinds of justice, Alexis. I sure hope -- thank you -- you get what you deserve, both of you.
Ric: It was my first instinct to go to Jason.
Alexis: A, Do we have to worry about Manny hurting the children? B, How do we stop him?
Ric: We donít.
Georgie: You could've been killed, Diego. Why don't you want to report that?
Diego: Look, this happened because of what I did in prison, ok? I stopped a murder, now the guys -- apparently they're coming after me.
Georgie: Exactly, Diego. They're going to try again.
Diego: Georgie, I'll handle it, it's fine.
Georgie: But wait, we could talk to my dad. He could get some kind of --
Diego: Georgie -- Georgie, listen to me. It's my problem, ok? I'll figure it out.
Lorenzo: Hey. I got a call after the fact. What happened to you?
Georgie: Diego was attacked by --
Diego: I was mugged, dad. It's fine. Georgie tried to help.
Georgie: Manny Ruiz helped, too. He helped Diego run the guys off.
Lorenzo: You need to be protected. There is security at my house --
Diego: Dad -- dad, dad, dad! We talked about this, ok?
Lorenzo: Yeah, I know we talked about it.
Diego: I said no before. Nothing's changed.
Lorenzo: Would you leave me alone with my son, please? Please.
Diego: It's ok. It's ok. It's ok.
Georgie: All right, ok, I'll see you later.
Lorenzo: This was no mugging and you know it.
Man: You were kind of rough there, Manny.
Manny: Well, you know, I had to make it look convincing. But you earned your money. And I'll be in touch.
Jesse: No, I wouldn't worry about Georgie. She's pretty levelheaded. She'll be ok.
Maxie: Yeah, I just wish she didn't have such a soft spot for Diego.
Jesse: There's no accounting for taste. You met me as a fugitive, a father's worst nightmare -- especially your dadís.
Maxie: Yeah, but there's a difference. I was right about you, and now my dad thinks you're terrific.
Jesse: Hey, I'm -- I'm sorry that I've been unavailable. It's not easy for me to open up, but I'm learning, thanks to you.
Maxie: I just -- I hope I haven't been too pushy or forward.
Jesse: Maxie, I have cared about you since the moment I saw you. And we both survived this epidemic, and you made me realize how precious life really is. And I can't waste any of the time that I get with you.
Maxie: Well, I want to be with you, too.
Elizabeth: I understand you're worried, and I'm sure it won't be a problem. All right, I'll let you know.
Nikolas: Hello, Elizabeth. I'm here to see John.
Elizabeth: You canít. I just hung up with Jax, and he left specific orders not to let you see his son. And if you ignore it, I'm supposed to call security.
Nikolas: But you wonít. Jax is at home. I'm here. Just tell him you never saw me come in.
Elizabeth: Oh, Nikolas, I'm not defending Jax, I'm not saying I agree with him, but he has the right to do this.
Nikolas: Jax is a vindictive ass. All I want is to stay connected to Courtneyís child. He's all I have left of her.
Elizabeth: Courtney wouldn't want her baby subjected to the stress of you and Jax fighting.
Emily: Hey. What's going on?
Elizabeth: Oh, good. Maybe you can get through to him, and maybe you'll be smart enough to let her.
Sam: Hey. So, Ric came to see me. He said he asked you to kill Manny, but you were reluctant. And then he wanted me to talk you into it.
Jason: And what did you say?
Sam: I said, clean up your own mess. And then Alexis -- excuse me, my mother -- came in and she was all in a twist because evil Manny is after Kristina and I wanted to scream at the hypocrisy. But I didn't because we both agreed that it's best that I do not tell her that I am the child she gave up. But every time I look at that woman, I get a knot in my stomach.
Sonny: It's me.
Jason: Where are you? I've been trying to reach you.
Sonny: I'm -- I'm back in town. Sorry. You know, I've been out of touch.
Jason: All right, I'll be over there in half an hour -- maybe a little more, but we have a lot to discuss. I understand, I do, that this -- this whole thing has been hard for you, but you know that you're going to run into Alexis whether you like it or not.
Sam: I have to find a way to deal with this.
Jason: And I think there's one other person who we should tell that Alexis is your mother. He has a history with both of you.
Sonny: I bought the kids presents. They're in the car. Can you --
Max: I can't do this.
Sonny: What's that?
Max: Jason's been leaning all over me trying to find out where you were. And then Carly -- I don't even know where to begin, so I'm not going to start. Look, you know I'm loyal to you, boss. I follow your orders, I watch your back, I'll even take a bullet for you. But you got to figure out your personal life on your own or I quit.
[Knock on door]
Carly: Ok, time's up.
Carly: You have got to buy the house next door before somebody else snatches it up.
Jax: Carly, I told you I'm not in a rush.
Carly: Wow. There is not a whole lot we can salvage here -- this reeks of single adult male -- but lucky for you, I'm a decorator and I can have the new house fixed up as soon as possible.
Jax: Hold on just one -- I love this furniture, ok? It's been with me for a really long time.
Carly: Look, the bedroom in the front is bigger, but the one in the back has a beautiful view of the garden, and Little John's room can be right next door as a nursery.
Jax: Why does it have to be today?
Carly: Well, Little John isn't going to be in the hospital forever, and he has to have a house to come home to. I know a perfect place to buy baby furniture, and Michael can help me pick things out so he won't feel left out. God knows he's been feeling enough of that lately with his father, so --
Jax: You know what? This isn't about the house. This is not about John. So why don't you just take a deep breath and -- and tell me what's really going on?
Carly: Do you remember when I said that -- um -- the next time I kissed you -- if I kissed you -- it would be because I wanted to?
Jax: Yes. Oh, you know what? Carly, we can't do this.
Carly: I know. I'm sorry -- I don't know what I was thinking. You're not over Courtney and you don't want to be here, starting something with me.
Jax: Oh, don't -- hold on a second. Don't put words in my mouth. Yes, I loved Courtney. But, you know, I don't know how much longer I can be a gentleman if you keep this up.
Carly: Not to put words in your mouth, but you probably think that I'm on the rebound from Sonny.
Jax: Well, that's a given.
Carly: No. See, the question is, would I be sitting here right now with you if there were no Sonny, and the answer is yes, amazingly enough. And I kind of realized that earlier and I've been thinking about it the whole way over here and I just haven't really quite made sense of it yet because I used to think that you were totally contemptible.
Jax: Oh. Right back at you.
Carly: Cute, but contemptible. And then with, you know, loving Courtney and wanting to be a part of her son's life and doing all that with you and then trying to take over with Little John and you not telling me to get lost -- and then watching you want to be such a great father and wanting me to help, I just kind of started to see why Courtney was attracted to you and then I kind of found myself liking you and, God help me, wanting you, and I can't believe I'm sitting here telling you all this.
Jax: Carly? You're an amazing woman. You really are. But, you know, we've both been so busy with Little John. I mean, I've barely had time to come up for air and --
Carly: Yeah, I -- it's just, it's too much too soon and it's kind of --
Carly: Crazy and you probably feel like you are betraying Courtneyís memory, so you know what? I'm just going to back off, I am. I'm going to back off. I'm going to go and we're just going to keep everything about little john and I'm just going to back off, ok?
Jax: Carly, wait. Come here. I don't know what this is. It certainly took me by surprise but, you know, maybe it's -- maybe it's loneliness or, I don't know, maybe this is about Courtney and her loss, but I don't know. Let's just -- let's just see where this takes us. Ok? As long as it's not to spite Sonny.
Emily: This should give us some privacy, huh?
Nikolas: Yeah. I know I've said this a thousand times before, but you're the last person I should be unloading on.
Emily: Or maybe the best. Nikolas. We've seen each other through so much over the years.
Emily: I know that this has been a really terrible time for you.
Nikolas: Feel like I'm in a free-fall. Started -- started even before Courtney died. Started when our marriage fell apart. I -- I used to be in control, Emily. I used to know who I was and what I was doing. I didn't -- I didn't slam into churches and make a public spectacle of myself.
Emily: Things are going to get better, Nikolas.
Nikolas: You know, I look at you now and you have a calm and a happiness about you that hasn't been there in a really long time. You've obviously found a way to get your life back in order.
Emily: I have, and you will, too. Nikolas, of course you lost it for a while -- I mean, anybody would. But you're a survivor. You've overcome terrible things in your life and you're going to get through this, too.
Nikolas: I wish I had your faith.
Emily: I believe in you, Nikolas. I always have. I'm always here if you need to talk to me.
Sonny: Now, I got this for you because I missed you and I looked at the window. It was right there, and you know what? I said, "This is perfect for Morgan." What do you think?
Sonny: You like that, huh? See, he loves it, Max.
Sonny: I'll tell you what, buddy -- why don't you go upstairs? We'll play with it later, ok?
Morgan: Gee, thanks.
Sonny: All right, all right. Go ahead, go upstairs.
Max: See you later. Ahem.
Sonny: How about a drink, Max, so we can discuss this.
Max: No, that's all right. No, thank you.
Sonny: Ok, I put you in a bad position and I know that you've got a secret on your hands you don't feel good about, but I'm just asking you, for me -- hang in there a little while longer.
Max: I think I need a vacation.
Sonny: Emily and I are adults. We're not doing anything wrong, Max.
Max: Except lying to her brother and your best friend. Sonny, Jasonís going to find out. And when he does, all hell is going to break loose.
Sam: Ok, you want to tell Sonny that Alexis is my mother?
Jason: I think he deserves to know.
Sam: I guess you're right.
Jason: Ok. What about you? Are you -- are you going to tell Alexis?
Sam: I don't want to. But it's all I can do not to because I keep getting pushed to this brink where I just want to blurt it out. And the main reason is to hurt her the way she's hurt me. But the truth is, Jason, it wouldn't really hurt her at all --
Jason: I don't know --
Sam: Because I don't think she'd really care.
Jason: I'm not so sure about that.
Sam: And -- come on. She won't even care. She will blame everyone else, pull up excuses, and I don't want to hear any of that.
Jason: So are you just going to let it go?
Sam: I have to. But the question is how, when Alexis is always around?
Ric: Manny needs to be watched.
Alexis: Is that all? Listen, you can't make a move on him right now, because if it involves Sonny and you put Kristina right in the middle.
Ric: Well, she's already there, Alexis. Otherwise, Manny wouldn't have taken the time to notice her.
Alexis: What was he talking to her about?
Ric: Yeah. He said to Kristina how he owed his life to you and how the next time she sees you that she should say hi to you for him. I got a really bad feeling about it and I think he knew it.
Alexis: Well, if Jason tries something and he fails, the next time that he approaches Kristina, we're really going to have something to worry about.
Manny: Miss Davis. Hey, it's good to see you.
Alexis: Hi, Manny.
Ric: Hi, Manny.
Alexis: How are you?
Ric: Just talking about you, about how friendly you were to Kristina.
Manny: Oh, yeah. She's a lovely girl. You must be really proud. See you.
Alexis: Bye. Just ignore him.
Alexis: Just ignore him and let's hope that Jason does the same thing, because the last thing we need to do right now is provoke Manny.
Diego: I can take care of myself.
Lorenzo: Diego, you are in over your head.
Diego: Can you please have a little faith in me for once?
Lorenzo: You fingered a guy in prison and now you're a target. I know how they think.
Diego: If they wanted me dead, I would be.
Lorenzo: I'll find out who these guys are and who they are connected to.
Diego: What if they're connected to you, pop?
Lorenzo: Look, if it has something to do with me and my business, then I need to protect you, but I cannot help you if you won't let me.
Diego: I watch my own back. Why don't you focus on that baby you and Skye are having?
Jesse: Thank you. Hey, Georgie. Treat you to a cup of coffee?
Georgie: No, thanks, but I need your help.
Lucky: Ok, oh -- wait, what is it?
Georgie: Diego stopped a murder in prison and somebody wants to get even. He was mugged at the docks.
Jesse: He told you about it?
Georgie: I walked in on it. The muggers ran off and I'm ok, but -- but Diego could've been killed and I'm really worried about him.
Jesse: You should be.
Lucky: Ok, listen. Just give us a description of the attackers and we'll try to find them.
Georgie: Thank you. One more thing -- don't tell Dillon about this. He's not exactly thrilled about Diego being out of prison or that he's living across the hall.
Jesse: You know, Dillonís got a point -- you should stay away from Diego. Everyone seems to have forgotten that he stalked girls on campus and photographed them naked.
Georgie: Jesse, I haven't forgotten what Diegoís done or that he saved my life. But he paid his dues, and aren't people supposed to get a fresh start when they get out of prison?
Lucky: All right, well, you just try to be careful, ok?
Georgie: I will. Dillon, you're done!
Georgie: Tell me all about it.
Lucky: Somebody wants payback against Diego.
Jesse: And they don't give a damn about anyone that gets in their way.
Lorenzo: I heard you helped my son run off his attackers.
Manny: Yeah. Your son was in trouble. I'm glad I was passing by, Alcazar.
Lorenzo: Did you recognize any of the men?
Lorenzo: You think this has anything to do with the prison incident?
Manny: Prison is a complex society, no? A huge network behind bars -- and on the outside. But I'll ask around.
Lorenzo: You know, it's funny -- yesterday I tell you my son has a problem, ask you to look out for him. One day later he's in trouble, and you happen to be there. I'm not ungrateful, just curious.
Manny: I wouldn't cross you. We have an understanding, right?
Lorenzo: I understand you trying to blackmail me for what I did during the epidemic.
Manny: Listen, I know something about you, and you know something about me. And neither one of us are going to tell, right? I mean, if we can't trust each other, who can we trust?
Lucky: Diego, hey. Hey, we -- we heard you were in some trouble.
Jesse: And Georgieís worried about you.
Lucky: Yeah, who'd you turn snitch on in prison?
Diego: Well, why don't you ask the warden? It's in my file.
Lucky: No, no, no, no. You think there's a connection with the attack tonight?
Jesse: You're stonewalling. What are you trying to hide?
Diego: Look, I don't want it to get out that Georgie was there, ok? I'm only going to be causing trouble for her.
Jesse: You care?
Diego: Yeah, I care. She's my friend.
Jesse: Ok, we'll keep Georgieís name out of it if you tell us what happened.
Diego: I was beaten up, ok? Why don't you let it go?
Dillon: So I'm watching this director and he's making one bad call after another and I'm thinking, why aren't I behind that camera?
Georgie: Dillon, you'll get your chance.
Dillon: All right. Maybe someday.
Georgie: Hopefully, soon.
Dillon: Oh, shocking -- Diegoís out of prison for two seconds and he's already getting grilled by the cops.
Georgie: Maybe they're just talking.
Dillon: Georgie, do you believe that, really?
Georgie: Dillon, why do you always assume the worst?
Dillon: Just -- he's trouble. Stay away from him, please, please?
Carly: Well, I'm starting to think that you're attracted to me because of my connection with Sonny. After all, you keep bringing him up.
Jax: Well, you don't give yourself a lot of credit.
Carly: Ok. So what if I was only Courtneyís friend? Would this have happened? Would we have been kissing on the couch? Would you be standing there telling me that a part of you is attracted to me? I don't think so. I am Sonny's ex-wife. That's got to add to the attraction, Jax.
Jax: No, Sonny doesn't --
Carly: It's like possessing something that used to be his.
Jax: No, Sonny doesn't carry that kind weight with me.
Carly: You have a record, you know? Brenda? Little John is Sonny's nephew? You married his sister.
Jax: That's all -- it's all in the past, ok? You're making way too much out of all of this.
Carly: Ok, then simplify it for me.
Jax: You and I -- we've had our own history. Now, we may have met through Sonny, and we never really liked each other, but that just made the attraction -- I don't know -- more interesting.
Jax: Well, I don't know the meaning of that word.
Carly: Stop dodging and answer the question. You think this is all about Sonny because you feel that it is?
Jax: Cards on the table? I've always thought that you're an attractive woman, but things have changed.
Jax: Because this is the first time I've ever come close to trusting you.
Jason: I -- I really need to see Sonny about some stuff, but I don't -- I don't want to leave you alone.
Sam: I promise you I will not hunt Alexis down with a machete, ok?
Jason: No, I'm not talking -- I'm talking about Manny. He's out there, too.
Sam: I know. Look, I feel perfectly safe here, ok? You've got guards outside and in the lobby. I'm just going to sit here and study. It's going to take a lot of hard work from going high school dropout to practicing attorney.
Jason: Ok, whatever -- whatever you do --
Sam: Do it for myself --
Jason: Just -- yeah.
Sam: And not for Alexis. Sonny's going to freak when he finds out Alexis is my mother.
Jason: Yeah. We have a lot we need to get settled.
Sonny: I thought you were going to the hospital.
Emily: I -- I did. I -- I picked up my assignment, and before I sit down to study, I thought I'd come and see the boys. I -- I didn't know you were going to be here, but I'm glad that you are.
Sonny: Morgan loved his present, you know?
Emily: Yeah? If this is a bad time, I can --
Sonny: Well, the problem is that Jason called.
Sonny: And he's on -- he wants to come see me because he wants to talk to me about something, you know?
Emily: Does he know about us?
Sonny: Well, I think he wants to talk about business, but --
Emily: Still, if I'm here, I'm not going to -- you know, we're not going to be able to hide how we feel.
Sonny: No, he'll know. I mean, I should -- I should be telling you to go, but I just -- you know, we got a little -- I don't know. You know, we got --
Jesse: Either you cooperate, or we bring Georgie in for questioning.
Lucky: All you have to do is come down to the station, look at a lineup and some photos.
Diego: Fine. Fine, I'll come in.
Jesse: Yeah, but as hard as you try, you're not going to make a positive match, right?
Georgie: You're making way too big of a deal out of this.
Dillon: Well, humor me, ok? I -- I don't like the way that he plays on your sympathies.
Georgie: Ok. Diego's out of prison now and he doesn't need support or sympathy. So if it makes you feel any better, I promise I won't even talk to him. How's that?
Nikolas: Hello, Maxie.
Maxie: Sorry, I came up for some fresh air. What are you doing?
Nikolas: Oh, just contemplating the meaning of life.
Maxie: How's that going?
Nikolas: No deep insights so far, though I have counted eight pigeons, four jumbo jets, and one yellow balloon.
Maxie: But nothing philosophical from that, like "Wouldn't it be great if we could all fly?"
Nikolas: Right now I'd just settle for one foot in front of the other.
[Knock on door]
Alexis: I'm here to apologize. Ric overreacted. It was very hypocritical of him to condone anything unfortunate happening to Manny.
Sam: Got it -- you're scared, bye.
Alexis: Sam, something else we need to address and I think that we should do just that. I know that you blame me for what happened to your brother and I know that you blame me for what happened to your baby.
Sam: Oh, I don't really think you want to get into this right now, Alexis.
Alexis: And I realize that you and I are never going to be friends. However, we do live in the same town, we are going to run into each other from time to time, and I'm hoping that we might manage to be civil in public.
Sam: What do you want from me, Alexis?
Alexis: Peace. Law school, huh?
Sam: It's just a thought.
Alexis: I think it's a great idea. It's a lofty goal. It's very ambitious of you. I can tell you it's an arduous process.
Sam: Oh, what, are you suggesting that I'm not smart enough?
Alexis: No -- I --
Sam: Well, I -- I would just like you to know that it's actually in my genes. My mother happened to a brilliant woman, not to mention a selfish, patronizing bitch.
Jax: You know, I've also seen how you operate, and you can be very destructive.
Carly: So can you.
Jax: Right. So we should just do the -- do the smart thing here and -- and just stay away from each other.
Carly: Yeah, we could do that.
Jax: That's good.
Carly: Or we could look at the big picture.
Jax: Which is?
Carly: How much fun we could have.
Jax: Hmm. Just --
Carly: But you're not quite sure what to think about me. So I guess this won't be going any further.
Sonny: Hey, like I told you, I'm not going to give you up.
Emily: Then whatever we face, we'll face it together. You know, it'll take time, but Jason loves us both, and I have to believe that he's going to find a way to accept us.
Sonny: I'm not so sure about that, but --
Emily: Ok. Then I'll go.
>> On the next "General Hospital" --
Patrick: Aren't you off right away?
Robin: This is your charming way of asking me out to dinner?
Patrick: I am trying to save your life!
Noah: I didn't ask you to!
Alexis: It was a mistake.
Sam: No, you know what? You wanted in, and you're not leaving until I've had my say.
