Carly: All right, so this is crylium's private island. Now what?
Jason: Now we find the antidote and we find lucky.
Carly: We have no idea where to look for the lab.
Man: The antidote doesn't appear to be working.
Lucky: If I'm going tdie, I want to talk to my wife.
Patrick: Sonny is responding to the serum from luke's antibodies, but we don't know when or if we're going to get more.
Elizabeth: Well, maybe we won't need to rely on luke. Jason and carly are in the markham islands right now, searching for lucky and the antidote.
Patrick: But even if they are successful, they might not make it back in time. This virus is progressing faster than anything I've ever seen.
Georgie: We're married now, dillon. We have the rest of our lives ahead of us. You have everything to live for. Please -- please come back to me.
Courtney: Then I want to have the c-section as soon as possible.
Jax: You can'T. It's too much of a risk.
Courtney: Jax, it's the best chance for our baby.
Jax: Courtney, our baby will probably die anyway. I know -- I know that's a terrible thing to say. But we -- we have to be realistic before you throw away your life.
Courtney: I'm a mother. Ok, I will do whatever it takes to give our baby the best possible chance.
Jax: What about nikolas? I just heard you pledge your life and your love to him. Doesn't he get a say in this?
Courtney: Nikolas will support whatever I decide.
Jax: Maybe not. Maybe if he knew the risks, maybe he wouldn'T.
Courtney: Jax, you're the father. Why don't you care more about saving your child's life?
Nikolas: Talk to me. What does it feel like? Does it hurt? Are you in any pain? Oh, god! I got you. Oh, my god. Oh, my god. Help! Please, somebody, help! Can anyone hear me in here?
Emily: Nikolas, is that you?
Nikolas: Emily -- emily, it's me. It's maxie. I -- I don't know, I think she's having a heart attack.
Nikolas: She said she was having trouble breathing and then she fainted. She's unconscious now.
Emily: All right, check to see if she has a pulse.
Nikolas: It's faint -- faint, and I -- I can't tell if she's even breathing.
Emily: Nikolas, you're going to have to perform rescue breathing.
Nikolas: What do I do?
Emily: You're going to lay her flat on the floor. Make sure that her airway is clear. Pinch her nose, and give her two breaths every five seconds.
Emily: Are you with me?
Nikolas: Yeah, hold on.
Emily: Is she responding?
Nikolas: No, it's not working.
Emily: All right. Listen, just keep doing it. We need help over here! Come on -- a sick girl's trapped inside, we have to get her out. Come on, we need help, somebody!
Nikolas: Come on, maxie, you can do it.
Mac: What are you doing? Get away from her. Get away from the door!
Emily: Mac -- mac, we're trying to get the doors open! All right, listen to me, maxie's stuck inside with nikolas, she's unconscious. Ok, it could be her heart.
Jax: I want to do what's best for our child, but not if it's going to cost you your life.
Courtney: Maybe it won'T.
Jax: Dr. Lee said that if you have the c-section, your life is at risk because of the fever.
Courtney: And I'm willing to take that chance, jax.
Jax: Well, I'm not. I'm not. You're too important to me.
Courtney: Hey, I care about you, too. But we created this child I'm carrying, you know? It's the best of both of us. It's our hope for the future. We have to put the baby's needs first -- that's what parents do.
Jax: I refuse to give up on you. Even if you tell me to go to hell or, you know, stay out of your life forever, I just need to know that -- that you're alive and well. Oh, courtney, you have so much to live for, so much to give to others.
Courtney: None of that matters, jax. None of it matters if I lose our baby. I've waited years for this baby. I --
Courtney: I'd do anything.
Jax: You think that your life isn't too high a price to pay, but I do, and so do all the other people that love you. So I'm asking you -- I'm begging you, ok? -- Fight for your life.
Jason: I didn't see anything that looked like a lab when we flew over, so it must be underground. I'm just -- how you doing?
Carly: I just need to rest. Ok, I just need a minute.
Jason: Ok. I just -- then I want you to wait here, I want you to save strength, and I want you to take this.
Jason: Ok? I'm going to go look around.
Jason: Are you sure you're going to be ok?
Carly: I'm fine.
Jason: Are you sure?
Carly: Yeah. You just g I'm ok.
Patrick: Elizabeth, hundreds of new viruses crop up naturally every year.
Elizabeth: But you heard robert. He thinks this one is manmade, so jason went to the markham islands to track down the people who were responsible, some pharmaceutical company called crylium.
Patrick: Right, the big, bad, evil corporation.
Elizabeth: Oh, come on, you're the most cynical person I know. You can't believe it?
Patrick: Well, it is a little far-fetched.
Elizabeth: What, you think no one's that greedy? It's a matter of supply and demand, and these people at crylium have decided to cash in on the demand.
Patrick: And jason and carly have figured all this out, right?
Elizabeth: They're looking for the main lab facility. You know that carly's gotten sick? Jason will move heaven and earth to find her a cure. They will find the antidote -- and lucky.
Nurse: Elizabeth, you have a call, but it's a really bad connection.
Elizabeth: Lucky. Lucky, hey, are you ok? Hey, I can barely hear you.
Lucky: I just wanted to hear your voice. Hello, my flower.
Elizabeth: Lucky? Honey, where are you? Are you -- are you ok?
Lucky: I'm holding my own.
Elizabeth: Baby, you sound so weak.
Lucky: I just want you to know how happy you made me, and I love you.
Elizabeth: Hey, lucky -- lucky?
Elizabeth: Oh, god.
Patrick: Elizabeth, you ok?
Elizabeth: No, I --
jason: Carly? Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, carly? Come on.
Carly: Sorry, I was taking a nap.
Jason: Man, you're burning up.
Carly: I'm ok.
Jason: Here, just drink some water, ok? I checked out the north end of the island. There's nothing, so I thought I'd just come back, check on you, see how you're doing.
Carly: I'm ok.
Jason: You sure?
Jason: Ok. Come on.
Tracy: So -- I guess people like me must really annoy you. You don't hear from us for dedes, and then here we come, begging and bargaining. I don't -- uh -- usually resort to this -- too many whiners in the world. And I kind of believe that when problems come up, you're supposed to take care of them yourself. But this is a problem I can't fix. So here I am, begging and bargaining, and desperaty trying to remember how you pray. Because I don't want my son to die.
Courtney: Our baby is a miracle, jax. I got pregnant when the doctors said it was impossible.
Jax: Yeah, yeah, and miracles can happen twice.
Courtney: No, this baby has already fought so hard to live -- surviving the train crash, the tunnel collapse. I don't know how much more this child can take. He or she might be dying because of me and the fever I have. There is no time to waste. The baby has to be born now.
Jax: But what about you, huh? A baby needs its mother.
Courtney: Jax, my life would be over if I let our child die. Ok, I could never, never get past the guilt and the grief. I would want to die.
Jax: No, no, no, no, no, you just -- you know, you may feel that way now, but you --
courtney: Look, jax, jax, I know it's hard for you to understand, but this is more than just the baby's best chance. This is my best chance, too. I am going to fight for both of us, ok? I need your support.
Kelly: If you decide on the c-section, we should perform it as soon as possible.
Mac: The opening's too small! We're not going to be able to get her out.
Emily: Nikolas, is the rescue breathing working?
Emily: Take her pulse again.
Nikolas: I can't find one.
Mac: She's dying! You have to do something!
P.A. Announcer: Dr. Drake, 3406. Dr. Patrick drake, call 3406.
Emily: Nikolas, come here, take this.
Mac: He doesn't know how to use a defibrillator!
Emily: Here you go. All right, all right. Ok, open maxie's shirt. You got it? Here you g all right, the machines already charged. I want you to place both paddles on her chest, one right below the right clavicle, and one under her armpit by her left breast. You got it? Perfect. All right, now push down on her and press both red buttons at the same time.
Nikolas: Ok. Emily, she's not responding.
Carly: That's luke's chimp.
Jason: How do you know?
Carly: Doesn't he look familiar?
Jason: No, he looks like every other chimp I've seen.
Carly: Oh, come on, you met him in port charles, jason.
Jason: Carly, even -- even if the monkey recognizes me, we don't even know it it's the right monkey.
Carly: I bet he knows how to get to the lab.
Jason: You really are delirious.
Carly: Do you have a better idea? Come on!
Carly: He remembers you.
Jason: Come on, carly, this is a waste of time.
Carly: Would you stop arguing? Hey, little guy. Can you help me find lucky?
Man: He's not going to make it. As soon as he's dead, put him in a body bag and bury him in the jungle.
Elizabeth: Lucky called to tell me he loved me. He was trying not to let me know how sick he is. He was so weak he could barely get the words out.
Patrick: You don't know that. Like the nurse said, it was a bad connection.
Elizabeth: I've been convincing myselthat jason and carly will get to him in time.
Patrick: Lucky is strong -- you're the one who keeps telling me that.
Patrick: He'll hold on until someone finds him.
Elizabeth: What chance do jason and carly really have against this company? I mean, lucky's probably being kept under guard. Or maybe crylium wants him to die. Maybe -- maybe he knows too much to let h live.
Patrick: Elizabeth, don't let your mind go there. You have to keep hope.
Nurse: Elizabeth. Dr. Elliot needs you in 702.
Patrick: Thanks. Go find a room, take a break, get some sleep if you can.
Elizabeth: I can't do anything for lucky right now, either. There's a hospital full of people I can help.
Tracy: How about I tell you abt dillon? That apple fell very far from this tree. Dillon's good and kind. Actually, dillon's a lot like my mother -- thoughtful, generous, good-natured. You know, the world needs more people like them. In fact, I personally believe it is in your best interest, god, to save dillon. Ok, so my motives are selfish, as usual. And I don't believe that you get something for nothing. So here's the bargain. It -- I know that I've done some awful things over the years -- I've lied, I've cheated, I've stolen, I've blackmailed. If you save dillon, I promise to be a better person, just like my mother and dillon. I promise to be good and kind and loving. Honest to god -- god. You won't even recognize me.
Luke: [Deep voice] I heard that.
Dillon: I, dillon, take you, georgie, to be my wife from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, as long as we both shall live.
Georgie: I, georgie, take you, dillon, to be my husband from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, as long as we both shall live.
Dillon: Take this ring as a token of my faith and abiding love.
Georgie: Take this ring as a token of my faith and abiding love.
Dillon: I now pronounce us husband --
georgie: And wife. Ok, you can kiss the bride.
Courtney: It's simple. If you don't take the baby now, it could contract the virus and die. That's not an option.
Kelly: You'll be putting your own life at serious risk.
Courtney: It doesn't matter. The baby comes first. Jax, I'm doing this for our child. I just hope you can find it in your heart to support me.
Jax: I love you. So whatever you need from me, whatever I can do to help you through this, I will do.
Courtney: Thank you. I'm ready for the c-section.
Emily: Ok, check her puls again.
Emily: All right, start C.P.R. Do 30 compressions for every two breaths.
Mac: Isn't there any way to get this elevator up?
Nikolas: She called for help, mac. She said the lady said that help would be on its way as soon as they could.
Emily: Ok, here, nikolas, come here. Nikolas, come here, take this. All right? Look, it's epinephrine. You're going to have to inject it directly into maxie's heart.
Mac: We need a doctor.
Emily: We haven't got a choice, mac. All right, get down. Ok, feel for the bone ere both sides of the rib cage meet. All right? Ok, now, go right below that. You got it? Now, and quickly and firmly stick the needle through.
Nikolas: Dear god. All right, take it like that?
Nikolas: I -- I can't do this. What if she dies? I can't -- I can't do this.
Emily: Nikolas, if you don't, she will die. All right, nikolas, you listen to my voice. All right? You aim the needle right where the ribs meet, you hold it against her skin, and then push the plunger.
you can fix with a kiss.
Nikolas: I can feel a pulse.
Emily: Ok. She's got a pulse, mac.
Mac: Thank god.
Emily: Nikolas, just elevate her head -- there you go -- and keep her warm.
Nikolas: Ok. Ok.
Mac: We have to get her out of there.
Manny: Listen to me. I think I can get the elevator running again.
Manny: I know how to work these control panels. If I can borrow something, I can get the cover off. Maybe a pocket knife or something.
Mac: Why should I believe you?
Manny: Hey, man, I'm just trying to help your daughter.
Tracy: Didn't anybody ever teach you it's not polite to eavesdrop?
Luke: Well, you shouldn't pray out loud.
Tracy: Well, if you're goin to make fun of me, go on, get it over with.
Luke: Oh, come on, spanky, I wouldn do that.
Tracy: They say miracles can happen.
Luke: Well, I don't know about miracles, but I do believe in your son. He's strong and resourceful and a lot like his mother, apart from the fangs.
Tracy: They also say you can't bargain with god.
Ke: Well, it's probably true. You can't bargain with the tooth fairy, either.
Tracy: Right, luke, I know you're an atheist. My mother, however, the wisest person I've ever known, wasn'T. So since I'm not convinced in either direction, I prefer to hedge my bets.
Luke: So you really intend to keep this promise, god or no god? You're going to become a kinder, gentler person, beloved by all? God! You better start saving up for that personality transplant!
Tracy: Jeez, I'm glad you're feeling better, and thanks for the vote of confidence.
Luke: Ah, well. You want an honest opinion?
Luke: Dillon is going to beat this. So practice being grateful to georgie. Because shs giving that kid something to live for.
Georgie: A piece for you, and a piece for me.
Dillon: Well, ladies first.
Georgie: Dillon? Dillon, don't -- please don't smush it --
dillon: Why would I do that to my beautiful wife?
Georgie: That was delicious. And now, dearest husband, it's so your turn.
Dillon: Oh. Come on. Mmm. Mmm. Mmm, hey -- and some bubbly with which to wash it down.
Georgie: Hmm. You know --
Georgie: Thank you.
Georgie: I could get used to this.
Dillon: What's that, drinking champagne?
Georgie: No. Being married to the man of my dreams. Come here.
Dillon: A toast -- to my beautiful wife.
Georgie: And the beginning of the rest of our lives.
["The very thought of you" plays]
Dillon: Oh. Would you like to dance, wife?
Georgie: It'd be a pleasure, husband.
Singer: The very thought of you and I forget to do the little ordinary things that everyone ought to do I'm living in a kind of daydream I'm happy as a king and foolish though it may seem to me, that's everything
carly: Can you take us to the lab?
Jason: Ok, carly, you know what? I'm going to check the other side of the island. This is a waste of time.
Carly: Wait, jason! Can you take us to the sick man? "Sick" like me. Can you take us to the sick man? Can you show us where the doctor is? You see? You see? He did understand.
Jason: Unless he's going off to get a banana.
Carly: This is great. So I'm just stuck by myself doing everything here, is that it?
Jason: Would you just take it easy, ok? I know you're not feeling well. I'll follow him. You --
carly: No, I'm going so I can hear you say, "carly, you were right" when he finds the lab.
Tracy: I n't think georgie's love has dillon a twit of good.
Luke: Careful. This is not the way to keep your promise to the sky god.
Tracy: You don't even believe in god.
Luke: Well, you made the promise, not me.
Tracy: I would do anything to save my son, luke, up to and including being a kinder and gentler person.
Luke: Talk is cheap, wife. You'll need somebody to make sure you follow through.
Tracy: Well, I think the good lord is all-knowing and all-seeing and won't need you to do backup.
Luke: I seriously doubt you can change. But I'll tell you one thing -- it's going to be a lot of fun watching you try.
Tracy: Oh, I meant what I said. If dillon lives, I will reform and be good. Even to you.
Woman: I see your face in every flower
man: Your eyes in stars above
both: It's just the thought of you
man: The very thought of you
both: My love
dillon: Could life get any more perfect than this?
Georgie: Maybe just a little.
Dillon: Yeah? What'd you have in mind?
Georgie: I need you to do something for me.
Dillon: Yeah, you name it.
Georgie: I need you to live. Oh, thank god.
Mac: Come on, come on. Maxie, hang on. You're going to be all right, sweetheart. Bring that in here, come on!
Monica: Get her on this gurney, fast.
Nikolas: We got it. You got to get her.
Nica: , E?Ma sy
monica: Easy, guys, one, two -- mac:
Ca E. There you go. Maxie, are you all right?
Mac: Hang in there, maxie, hang in there.
Mac: Hang in -- is she going to be all right?
Monica: We'll do everything we can.
Mac: Thank you, nikolas.
Nikolas: All I did was follow instructions, mac.
Mac: You two saved her life.
Emily: Yeah, we all worked together.
Mac: And you, too. Hey --
manny: I'm glad your daughter made it.
Nikolas: Maxie's alive because of you, emily. You deserve all the thanks.
Courtney: Thanks for supporting me, jax. I'm glad you're here.
Jax: Good, because you can't get rid of me. I'm not going to leave ur side.
Courtney: You're going to make a wonderful father. Everything your own father was to you.
Jax: Yeah. I promise -- I promise to be a good father. And you're going to make sure of that because you're going to be the best mother anyone could ever have.
Kelly: The O.R. Is ready. We just need to do a final prep.
Jax: Hey. It'll all be over soon, ok? You'll be looking into our baby's eyes, and you'll know that you made the right decision. And years from now, we'll be telling him or her that you saved them and how lucky they are to have you as a mother.
Nurse: Doctor, you should look at this.
Kelly: I'm sorry. We can't do the surgery.
Emily: Nikolas, I never got the chance to thank you for letting sonny have the antibody serum.
Nikolas: In the end, emily, it was patrick drake's decision, that's it.
Emily: No, nikolas, you know what you did. It was incredibly generous.
Nikolas: You're wondering why I would make such a gesture towards a man I don't like?
Emily: No, you already told me the reason -- because sonny has a family, right?
Nikolas: I did it for you, emily. Yeah, I don't think he's good enough for you, that's true. But I know that you love him, and I just want you to be happy.
Emily: Well, I hope you and courtney are going to be happy, too.
Nikolas: Thank you. I -- I have to believe that she'll make it through this.
Kelly: I can't perform the c-section when your fever is this high. The procedure will almost certainly kill you.
Courtney: Well, what about the baby? How much time does it have?
Kelly: It's difficult to say. Hopefully your fever will come down and plateau. That has been the pattern with many of the other patients. Then we could go ahead with the c-section, and both you and your child would have a good chance at survival.
Courtney: What if my fever doesn't level off?
Kelly: I don't want to get caught up in the "at ifs."
Courtney: Ok, I need you tell me the truth, dr. Lee. If you don't get my fever under control, what's going to happen to me and my baby?
Kelly: There's a good possibility that both of you will die.
Carly: Oh, god.
Jason: Oh, hey, hey, hey, hey.
Carly: You're going to have to go on without me. I can't make it. I'm going to hold you back.
Jason: Come on, carly, you can't quit now. We're so close.
Carly: Jason, the only thing that matters is finding lucky and the lab, ok?
Jason: And we are going to do that together. It was your idea to go after this monkey, so you need to follow through now.
Carly: Why don't you just admit that you need my help?
Jason: Fine, I need your help, carly.
Carly: Finally, after all these years, you admit it here in the jungle where no one can hear you. That's great.
Jason: We need to keep moving.
Carly: Oh, my god, do you think it's lucky?
Mac: How's she doing, monica?
Monica: Well, the fever has put a strain on her heart.
Maxie: What are we going to do?
Monica: A lot of the patients have been stabilized, at least temporarily. What we have to do is find a combination of drugs that's going to make this fever manageable. We can't cure the virus, but at least we can control it.
Georgie: Dillon, your fever's breaking. Can you feel that? How are you feeling?
Dillon: Better. Yeah.
Georgie: Oh. I guess you just really needed your sleep.
Dillon: I had the most amazing dream.
Georgie: Oh, me, too. We got married in a moonlit park.
Dillon: Georgie, I was at the gazebo. You were wearing a long white wedding dress. You were carrying red roses.
Georgie: I don't believe this, dillon. We had the same dream?
Tracy: Oh, my god. He's awake.
Luke: Uh-oh. Looks like you got your miracle.
Having a bladder control
problem is bad enough.
>> On the next "general hospital" --
courtney: Promise you are going to do everything to get me this c-section.
Patrick: You can make arrangements to go home today.
Patrick: I can't believe you'd want to stay.
Luke: What? Have you heard from lucky?
Elizabeth: I think he was calling to say goodbye.
