General Hospital Transcript Tuesday 12/6/05
Proofread by Brian
Sonny: Jason's calm about what's going to happen.
Emily: I should call him.
Sonny: Ok, as long as you don't try to talk him into having that operation.
Emily: Does he know that Robin found a surgeon?
Sonny: It doesn't matter. I mean, you know he's going to do what he's going to do.
Emily: So he's just decided to die?
Sonny: He has a right to go the way he wants to go. He's at peace. Sam said that she's going to let us know as soon as, you know --
Sonny: You came back.
Jason: Yeah, if surgery's my only chance, then I got to take it.
Robin: Excuse me. Has Dr. Drake checked in for surgery yet?
Nurse: Not yet. I'll let you know when I see him.
Robin: Is this how you prepare for surgery?
[Knock on door]
Carly: Come in. Hey.
Lainey: Carly, are you ready for our session?
Carly: Oh, you know what?
[Knock on door]
Carly: Oh --
Delivery man: Mrs. Alcazar?
Carly: Hey. Yes, yeah, come in.
Delivery man: Where do you want this?
Carly: Just right there next to the desk. Go ahead. I'm sorry, we're going to have to cancel that session.
Lainey: You're in the hospital. Therapy isn't optional.
Carly: Hey, I am trying to better my life. Isn't that why we're here?
Lainey: Yes, but this is a little extreme, don't you think?
Carly: Well, you just wait and see what's going to happen. It's going to be better than any therapy session. Here, wait. Thanks.
Lainey: Carly, what have you done?
Carly: It's called self-empowerment, and no one can stand in my way.
Edward: Summoned to a mental institution by a madwoman. That makes sense.
Justus: I think a madhouse is the perfect place for this family.
Edward: You would.
Ned: Any idea what Carly has in mind?
Luke: Don't look at me.
Alan: Emily should've been here by now. That is if she could tear herself away from Sonny.
Monica: They are both worried about Jason. Now, I don't like Sonny, but I can see he is concerned.
Alan: Did it ever occur to you how Emily and Sonny are consoling each other in their mutual grief?
Monica: Why do you always have to make things worse?
Alan: It's a gift.
Skye: What are you doing here?
Tracy: You probably invited him.
Lorenzo: I wouldn't miss this show for anything in the world.
Edward: So you consider E.L.Q. a show, huh? Is that why you gave all your stock to your maniac wife?
Carly: You referring to me? Thanks for coming out here. I'm sure it was inconvenient.
Tracy: That was probably the point.
Carly: Let's get down to business. Well, as you all know, thanks to my soon-to-be ex-husband, I now own 30% of E.L.Q. stock, which gives me controlling interest.
Ned: I only wish Junior were here to see this.
Edward: You know, Carly, I've always admired your spunk. E.L.Q. is my life's work. I don't want a mental patient running it. No offense.
Carly: None taken.
Tracy: If you hadn't brought Lorenzo into this --
Monica: Oh, no. Excuse me, you started the whole thing with your ridiculous marriage to Luke.
Luke: Doctor, please, marriage is a sacred covenant.
Skye: Oh, please, you should be grateful to Lorenzo. He turned this company around and made us a ton of cash.
Alan: The entire situation is a disgrace.
Carly: New rule -- no more fighting during board meetings.
Tracy: Since when do you make the rules?
Carly: Read the bylaws. You all work for me now.
Alexis: All right, we've got to work really fast before somebody starts crying or anything.
Ric: Ok, ok, go ahead, go ahead.
Alexis: So here's what I'm thinking -- we need one of these right here. I circled it. It's the Baby's First Christmas. I got one of those for Kristina, so we need one of those for Molly, too.
Ric: Ok, good, good, good.
Alexis: Then we need the tree.
Ric: Yeah, that's usually good. You can get that with the ornaments.
Alexis: No, we're going to chop it down in the woods like we did last year.
Ric: Oh, you're kidding, right?
Alexis: No, I'm not kidding.
Ric: Alexis, we got lost in the woods, remember, in the cold, in the dark, then we also had to write out a marriage annulment on a tablecloth --
>> Due to the absence of Tyler Christopher, today the role of Nikolas Cassadine will be played by Chris Beetem.
Ric: Oh, you're driving me --
[Knock on door]
Ric: Lovely. I didn't mean to use the tree for firewood but, you know, after all, I didn't want to die of hypothermia, if that's ok! We are city dwellers. Hi.
Nikolas: Hi. Bad time?
Robin: Have you done the prep for Jasonís surgery?
Noah: Look, I need to discuss this with you.
Robin: You really should review the file with Tony Jones.
Noah: Look, this whole thing is a bad idea.
Robin: Noah, this whole thing took an enormous amount of work and persuasion to get Jason to agree to do this.
Noah: If I were Jason, I'd be nervous, too.
Robin: He understands the risks.
Noah: Yeah. Told him you pulled me out of a gin mill from the Lower East Side, did you?
Robin: Ok, the details are not important because I know that you can do this.
Noah: Does he know how long it's been since I've stepped inside an O.R.?
Robin: You have saved lives when there was no hope at all.
Noah: That was -- that was years ago.
Robin: Ok, Alan and Monica Quartermaine have complete faith in you. They are trusting you with their son. Doesn't that say something to you?
Noah: Yeah, it says they need to rethink. Look, you know, surgery isn't like riding a bicycle. It doesn't all magically come back.
Doctor: We got another one from the construction accident. Where's Dr. Jones?
Nurse: Oh, he just went into emergency surgery.
Doctor: Who's on call?
Nurse: Dr. Olsen, but she's in surgery, too. I've got calls out to other doctors.
Doctor: This guy can't wait for some surgeon to call back.
Noah: Give me the film.
Doctor: Who are you?
Noah: Dr. Noah Drake.
Robin: He just came onboard as a neurosurgeon.
Noah: Ok, I see a small intracranial bleed. Get this man in the O.R.
Emily: Robin found you a great surgeon. You're going to be fine.
Sam: The surgeon's at the hospital now?
Emily: Yeah, mom and dad are going to be so relieved. They're going to be all over you. Listen, why don't I go to the hospital and run interference.
Jason: No, it's ok. Sam and I will go. I just -- you know, I need to keep this simple.
Emily: Ok, I understand. I love you, Jase.
Jason: She all right?
Sonny: Well, two minutes ago, she thought you were dying. You know, she just needs some time.
Sam: Ok, look, we -- I'm sorry, but we have to -- we need to get going.
Sonny: Ok, yeah, but we've got one more piece of business first.
Jason: It's two pictures.
Sonny: The blessed mother and her son. I got it when I was an altar boy at St. Alphonsus in Brooklyn. The priests knew that my -- my life at home wasn't very good, so they thought they'd make me feel better.
Jason: So they gave you this?
Sonny: You know what it stands for? Faith, hope, and love.
Jason: Did it help you when you were a kid?
Sonny: Hmm, I don't know, but it helps me now knowing that you've got it. Takes faith to have the surgery, hope to believe it's going to be all right, and love, you know, that's -- that's why you're doing it, for the people you love and the people who love you.
Michael: Jason! Hi, dad!
Sonny: What's up?
Jason: What's up, man? How you doing?
Michael: You got here just in time. It's going to snow a ton.
Michael: You didn't hear?
Jason: No, no, I hadn't heard.
Michael: Well, can we go sledding later on? We need to show Morgan how.
Jason: You know what? I would love to, but I have to go to the hospital.
Michael: You're not better yet?
Jason: I -- I have to have an operation.
Michael: Well, will you be well after that?
Jason: That's the plan.
Robin: Ok if I observe? Dr. Drake will be operating on one of my patients soon.
Nurse: Fine with me.
Noah: The important thing with an injury like this is to get in, get the job done, and get out. Suction. You want to take care of all that carotid tissue. Nobody wants a brain abscess to form. Get that bleeder. Thank you. Now, see? You got to watch for the swelling. We have a little ischemia already. Now clamp. Take care of it now, save everybody a lot of trouble later on.
[Classical music plays]
Noah: Yeah, that's better! Scientifically proven to improve circulation, help with pain management, and shorten recovery time.
Doctor: I'd like to take a look at that research.
Noah: Me, too. I just made it up. That music's got to heal anything. Crank it up!
Ned: You realize that we could all unite and just vote you out at any time?
Luke: If you think this crowd's going to unite on anything, Ned, you're crazier than she is.
Justus: You know what, why don't you just tell us what you really want?
Emily: Hey. Sorry I'm late.
Carly: That's ok. We all know you have a lot going on.
Monica: Why are you being so nice to Emily?
Carly: Well, I'm trying to make amends, Monica. It's part of my recovery.
Edward: Oh, then you do admit you're still crazy?
Carly: You know what? I've been involved with this family, like it or not, for a long time. And there's no question that I contributed to A.J.'s downfall. But I've been a better friend to Jason than anyone in this room. And Michael -- we all love him and we want what's best for him. So the sooner I get out of this place, the sooner I can get home to him. I plan on being a good mother to my children and I plan on giving them a secure future on my own without depending on Sonny or any other man.
Tracy: Would you spare us the Mother Courage routine? Just tell us how much for the stock.
Carly: Money is the last thing I want or need.
Ric: Well, you know, Alexis and I have slightly different opinions about how to spend Christmas.
Alexis: He has no respect for tradition.
Ric: I prefer not to freeze to death.
Alexis: Wow, look at this thing. This is -- this is complicated. How do you do this?
Ric: It's not bad.
Alexis: This is state-of-the-art.
Ric: Yeah, yeah, you pull this out here. Yeah, thanks, I think she's going to be very comfortable in it.
Courtney: You know, it's got the highest safety rating, and you can turn it into a baby jogger, too.
Ric: So you can push the baby while you jog.
Alexis: That's just ridiculous!
Ric: I know, ok.
Alexis: Did he put you up to this?
Ric: No, I did not. Don't --
Nikolas: It was actually Courtneyís idea.
Courtney: Yeah, yeah. Well, I'm just having so much fun looking at baby stuff.
Alexis: Thank you for the stroller.
Courtney: You're welcome.
Alexis: She wouldn't be here if it weren't for you.
Courtney: Come on, you guys have thanked me a million times.
Ric: Yes, but you got her out of the tunnel and you got her to the hospital and you held her close. That was very important.
Courtney: Well, newborns like to be held. It's common sense.
[Knock on door]
Alexis: You're going to be a wonderful mother.
Ric: Grand central tonight.
Jax: I'm sorry to interrupt.
Jax: I have a legal question for Alexis. I also have a gift for the baby.
Ric: Oh, thank you.
Courtney: Talk about a coincidence. You know, we just wanted to stop by and offer our congratulations.
Ric: Yeah, thank you so much for the stroller, guys.
Alexis: Thank you for the stroller.
Nikolas: See you later.
Ric: You take care of yourself.
Alexis: Thank you. Thanks.
Courtney: You know, I am going to have to get used to being in the same room with him.
Nikolas: Look, don't worry about Jax, ok? Let's just focus on enjoying our holiday.
Alexis: There's a bottle next to the crib. Let her have it this time.
Ric: I got it, I got it! Don't --
Alexis: See what you have to look forward to?
Jax: I would love that, you know, Courtney and I on the couch, the baby in the other room.
Alexis: Could be just you and the baby.
Jax: Yeah, I know what you meant. You're not exactly subtle.
Jax: But I refuse to believe that it's going to turn out bad. I think Courtney and I will be together by the time the baby's born.
Alexis: Hmm, I'm not trying to hurt you. You know that I love you -- I do, I love you madly -- but in terms of you and Courtney reuniting, I'm not so sure that's going to happen.
Robin: You were beyond impressive, just like I thought.
Noah: If you were so sure, why did you observe?
Robin: All right, I admit I had my doubts before, but they're gone now. I mean, you have more than lived up to your reputation.
Noah: Patching that guy up was fairly simple.
Robin: If you're a brilliant surgeon.
Noah: Look, that's nothing compared to what Jason Morganís up against.
Robin: And you'll handle it. Jason --
Noah: Jason's situation is way more complex because he's delayed surgery for so long.
Robin: Well, then we'd better get busy. Hey. Thank you for coming so quickly. I'd like to introduce you to your new surgeon. This is Noah Drake. Jason Morgan.
Robin: Sam McCall.
Robin: I just saw Noah save a man's life in surgery. I'm confident he's going to do the same for you.
Max: Dr. Winters?
Sonny: Thanks, Max. Is Carly all right?
Lainey: That's why I'm here.
Sonny: What's wrong?
Lainey: Carly's behavior is really starting to concern me. She's moving too fast. She's going to extremes.
Sonny: Well, what do you mean, extremes?
Lainey: Carly called in all the Quartermaines for a meeting in our day room. Apparently, Lorenzo Alcazar has given her 30% of the Quartermaines' company.
Sonny: E.L.Q.? Why would he do that?
Lainey: I have no idea. But Carlyís running with it. She's turned her bedroom into an office. She told me that she needs to reschedule our therapy session and she's off to her business meeting all dressed up in a power suit.
Sonny: Well, that sounds like she's doing a lot better then, right?
Lainey: So you've seen this kind of thing before?
Sonny: Carly wants what she wants. And if she's really feeling like Carly, she goes after it. And I'll tell you right now, nothing's going to get in her way.
Lainey: Unless this is all window dressing and what she really wants is a reunion with you.
Sonny: Not this time. Carly's finally figured out that we're bad for each other. She's finished with me.
Carly: Look at it this way -- I could stay involved with E.L.Q. on a day-to-day basis --
Tracy: And make us all miserable.
Carly: Or you could sign a subsidiary over to me, free and clear.
Edward: Which one?
Alan: What difference does it make? Give her whatever she wants.
Tracy: It's blackmail!
Luke: And she does it so well.
Tracy: Whose side are you on?
Luke: The winning side, precious, you know that. Right now, I'd say my lovely niece is shutting you all out in the cold!
Carly: Thanks, Uncle Luke.
Luke: You're welcome, Caroline.
Skye: "Uncle Luke"?
Carly: I'm giving you guys a chance to get rid of me. Isn't that what you want?
Tracy: Why don't we declare her incompetent and fight it out in court?
Justus: You know what, any judge worth his while would have you all thrown in the bin.
Carly: Ok, fine, sue me and I'll show you what a hostile takeover really means.
Tracy: You need to be sedated.
Carly: No, maybe you do. If you can't see an opportunity staring you in the face -- I'm trying to give you your company back.
Tracy: Minus its most profitable subsidiary.
Emily: Which one is that?
Luke: Well, I happen to have a list right here.
Edward: Where did you happen to get that list?
Ned: You know what they say about loose lips.
Luke: Oh, what's one subsidiary among family?
Tracy: Family? You wouldn't even admit being related to her unless there was something in it for you.
Luke: You know me so well, my precious little pink popsicle.
Carly: Ok. Thanks for showing up. I'll take a look at the list and I'll let you know what I decide.
Edward: You had to bring that freeloader into the family, right?
Tracy: She was involved with the Quartermaines way before Luke lured me to Las Vegas.
Ned: No sign of Dr. Winters?
Justus: I wasn't looking for Dr. Winters, Ned.
Ned: Well, she's a much better reason to show up than that farce we just sat through.
Emily: Hi. Jason came back for the surgery.
Monica: Oh, thank God.
Emily: Yeah, he's at the hospital now. He doesn't want to see anyone.
Alan: We're his parents. He can't shut us out like that.
Monica: Yes, he can.
Alan: Let's go see about it.
Luke: Uh -- oh, well. Ok, I circled a couple here that I think will work for us.
Carly: Great, but you know what, there is no "us."
Luke: Oh, yes, there is.
Carly: No, there isnít. I warned you from the beginning that I was doing this for me and my boys. I'm not going to cut you in on a share of my dream, whatever it may be. But thanks a lot. And you know what? I'll make sure that I tell mama how much you have helped me out. Good night, Uncle Luke!
Sonny: Carly always had a plan, a goal. She'd always try to do things to help me out. Like one time she dressed up like a hooker, right, bugged my room. Another time she threatened some of my colleagues with a baseball bat, size 35, in the middle of an important meeting. It wasn't good. Carly's heart was always in the right place, but she did not think things through. She'd get herself in all kinds of trouble, and then I'd have to bail her out.
Lainey: That created an unhealthy cycle.
Sonny: Yes, but that was our life together.
Lainey: Carly constantly turning herself into a victim; you moving in to rescue her.
Sonny: I guess you could see it that way.
Lainey: Doesn't sound like much of a partnership to me.
Sonny: But it was, especially in a crisis. No matter how much we fought, no matter how bad times were, you know what? We always stood up for each other. I just -- I just never really made her happy.
Lainey: It's not your job to make Carly happy.
Sonny: It would be if I was still her husband.
Lainey: Well, then, no offense, it's a good thing you're not. Carly has to rebuild her life, independent of you.
Sonny: Sounds like that's what she's doing.
Lainey: I don't want her taking on too much too soon.
Sonny: You didn't see her the other night, reading me out. Carly's on fire. She's out to show everybody. And I'll tell you right now, when Carlyís at her best, I feel sorry for anybody who gets in her way.
Lorenzo: Calling the board meeting here at Roselawn was a stroke of genius.
Carly: Thanks. But since I'm not allowed to leave, I didn't really have a choice.
Lorenzo: The point is you made it work to your advantage. You made it work for you. You're becoming the woman I always knew you would be -- strong, confident, in control.
Carly: Well, it helps to have good leverage, like 30% of the E.L.Q. stock that I'm getting from you in the divorce settlement.
Lorenzo: Well, it's worth every penny just to see you like this.
Carly: So is this the point where I'm supposed to get all grateful and throw my arms around you?
Lorenzo: That's up to you.
Carly: Don't hold your breath. I meant what I said before. I'm not going to lose my life for any man. That includes Sonny and you.
Lorenzo: Good, because I'm looking for an equal.
Carly: Huh. Well, keep dreaming.
Lorenzo: Didn't we agree you were going to give me a chance?
Carly: I just did.
Alexis: For what it's worth, I think that Courtney is making a huge mistake staying with Nikolas. And I love him, you know that, and I want him to be happy. I'm just saying that I wish Courtney had fought harder to stay married to you.
Jax: Well, you know, in retrospect, I didn't exactly make it easy.
Alexis: Marriage isn't easy, Jax. Ric and I can't even agree on where to get a Christmas tree.
Jax: Do you want me to warm up the helicopter?
Alexis: I'll let you know.
Jax: You know, these are exactly the moments I want my baby to remember -- you know, two parents in the room next door, planning Christmas.
Alexis: You can be good parents and you don't have to be together.
Jax: I think the baby would just be better off if we are together, though.
Alexis: I don't know that that's true.
Jax: Excuse me. This is Jax. Uh-huh? Oh. Ok, well, I'll see what I can do. It was a nurse from Roselawn. Carly wants to see me.
Jax: No idea, but she says it's urgent. I'll see you later.
Sam: Ok, I know that you hate all of this.
Jason: It's worth it if I can spend the rest of my life with you.
Sam: Why don't you settle in for a little bit. I'm going to go look for your doctor. I think I have a couple questions for him. Can you?
Jason: Sure, yeah.
Noah: Is there a problem?
Sam: Yeah, there's a problem. There's no way in hell I'll trust Jasonís brain surgery to a drunk.
Noah: Jason's surgery isn't till tomorrow.
Sam: Oh, really? So that makes it ok for you to sit around the hospital and get smashed all day?
Noah: No, actually, I'd rather be at a bar getting smashed. But your friend pulled me out of one, literally.
Sam: Robin -- Robin dragged you out of a bar?
Noah: Right. One of my favorites in New York, actually. She's good. She almost had me convinced I could pull this miracle off.
Sam: But you said you could save Jasonís life.
Noah: Dr. Scorpio said I could save Jasonís life.
Sam: But she saw you operate. She said you were brilliant. I --
Noah: Jason's situation is far more complex. Even at my best, I'm not sure I could've done it. That was many brain cells ago.
Sam: Ok, you know what, if you want my support and sympathy, you're not going to get it. Go to an A.A. meeting. There is no way you are going to operate on Jason.
Robin: If he doesn't, Jason will die.
Monica: Hi. How you doing?
Jason: I'm ok.
Monica: Emily said you didn't want to see family.
Jason: Well, I guess it's too late now.
Monica: Sorry. But I just had to tell you that Noah Drake is one of the best. Alan and I have known him for years. We've gone over all of his files and -- and you don't really need our input.
Jason: I made my choice. I'll deal with whatever happens.
Monica: I made a choice many, many years ago. It was to go down to the gatehouse and check on Alanís other son, who had a fever. And you were crying and I held you in my arms, and you weren't Alanís son anymore. You were mine. You were mine, too. You were my son and I loved you, and I love you right now.
Jason: I know how lucky I am to have you for a mother.
Monica: We made so many mistakes with you guys. I just hope that I've done some -- some things right by you, especially the last few years. Jason, I do want you to know I love you no matter what, unconditionally, no expectations.
Jason: Is Alan going to stay with you while I'm in surgery?
Monica: Uh -- yeah.
Jason: Good, I don't want you to be alone.
Monica: You know, your father can be really pompous and arrogant and -- and wrong a lot of the time, but -- but he loves you. And I hope he has a chance to tell you. And I hope you give him that chance. Ok?
Alan: I have been angry with you for so long. You took away my perfect son, my hope for the future. And then, like the arrogant fool that I am, I turned my anger on Jason when I simply should've been grateful that he was alive. I attacked him for the life that he chose and I judged him. I criticized him for every decision that he made, even if they were good things. I prayed for you to give me back a son that I could be proud of. But now all I want is for you just to take care of Jason. It doesn't matter who he is or what he remembers. I ask you most humbly to save him. Save Jason. Thank you.
Emily: So, let's hear that speech for your English class, huh?
Michael: Ok. Ok. "Emily is great." That's my topic sentence. Now I have to explain why it's true. "She is taking care of me and my brother while my mom is in the hospital."
Emily: Michael, you really didn't have to write about me.
Michael: They said family. You are my family. Listen. "Emily helps me with my homework. She reads to me and makes me drink my milk. She's cool. She can almost beat me at video games. She can drive go-carts fast, and she doesn't care about crashing. Emily talks to me like I'm a regular person. She doesn't think that I'm a stupid kid who won't understand."
Emily: Thank you, Michael.
Michael: It's true. I need you to be here. So does Morgan. We'd be all messed up without you.
Sonny: I feel the same way.
Carly: Jax, hi. Thank you. Thank you for coming all the way out here. I appreciate it.
Jax: So what's so important?
Carly: Well, I'll spare you the details, but I just got a huge chunk of E.L.Q. and I want to use it to start my life over.
Jax: Well, I'm very happy for you. Why does that require my presence?
Carly: I'm interested in the Metro Court. I can get the property it stands on from the Quartermaines, but I'd like to buy the hotel from you.
Jax: Metro Court is not for sale.
Carly: Oh, come on, you can buy another hotel. Name it after your baby that's on the way.
Jax: Don't make jokes about my baby, Carly.
Carly: I'm not; I'm just trying to be friendly.
Jax: Really? Am I supposed to just forget the fact that Elizabeth miscarried my child because of you? That's right. You ran out in front of my car. I swerved to miss you. Elizabeth was with me. She miscarried my baby a few hours later.
Carly: I -- I vaguely remember running out in front of the car. I never meant to --
Jax: Well, you know, it was an accident. Sonny covered it up.
Carly: He was just trying to protect me.
Jax: If he was doing a better job at protecting you, he would've gotten you the help that you needed and my child with Elizabeth would still be alive.
Carly: I'm so sorry, Jax. I'm really --
Jax: I don't blame you, Carly. It's not your fault. I'm happy that you're rebuilding your life. Just leave my hotel out of it. It's not for sale.
Carly: Oh. Oh, God.
Luke: He's playing pretty rough.
Carly: I thought you'd left.
Luke: Good thing for you I didnít.
Carly: Go away!
Luke: You made him a reasonable offer.
Carly: Can you blame him for refusing me?
Luke: He's hitting you where you're most vulnerable. He's hoping that you'll just give up and move on.
Carly: Doesn't matter. The Quartermaines have tons of properties. I'll just pick another one.
Luke: Yeah, but you really want that hotel, don't you, darling?
Carly: Not that bad.
Luke: Well, think of it this way. Jax is using the miscarriage to manipulate you. You were out of your mind when you caused that accident, but he knows exactly what he's doing when he throws it in your face. And that memory can't be all that painful or he wouldn't bring it up in a business negotiation.
Carly: I liked you better when you hated me.
Luke: Oh, don't worry, we can get back there again. We're Spencers. We never give up, we never stop fighting, and we're certainly not afraid to take on that overgrown marsupial.
Carly: And you still want a cut.
Luke: You see, it's like we're thinking with the same mind.
Carly: Ok, fine. I don't trust you as far as I can throw you, but you convince Jax to sell me the Metro Court, I'll cut you in.
Luke: Consider it done.
Emily: Michael really misses his mother.
Sonny: Yeah, I know, he does.
Emily: You know, Carlyís really making a lot of progress, Sonny. You should've seen her take on my family.
Sonny: I'm sure she just did great, right?
Emily: Yeah, yeah, she did. I guess Michaelís always going to want you two back together.
Sonny: I think he knows that's not going to happen, and I'm pretty sure that's the last thing Carly wants.
Emily: But you love each other, right?
Sonny: Let me tell you something. Being with me destroyed a part of Carly that I love the most.
Emily: But if she's getting better --
Sonny: I love Carly. I always will. That's why I want what's best for her, and I'm letting her go and we both can move on.
Emily: You know, sometimes it's not so easy.
Sonny: Carly's going to get out of Roselawn; the boys are going to live with her at times. You'll get to get back to your life, you know, concentrate on being a great doctor.
Sonny: So, you know, you can -- you can move on.
Alexis: Ooh, you got her down awfully quickly. I'm very impressed.
Ric: She always goes to sleep for me.
Alexis: Yeah, right. Tell it to the judge. Two things --
Ric: Yes, my love?
Alexis: One -- I will walk with that stroller; I'm not going to jog.
Ric: Oh, come on, I thought maybe like in a whole matching outfit, the headbands and the shoes and the sweatsuit.
Alexis: No, it's not going to happen. And two -- I think that we should go into the woods and chop down a tree like I suggested.
Ric: Alexis, I -- I'm sorry, I have to put my foot --
Alexis: It's just so much easier to give in, isn't it?
Ric: Listen to me, listen to me, ok? Last year it was about out-Christmasing Sonny. I understand that. But this year there's no necessity for us to get in the car with two --
Alexis: It was the first time that we made love, and I was thinking that we should make that a Christmas tradition. What do you think?
Alan: Monica said you wanted to see me.
Jason: I don't -- I don't remember being Jason Quartermaine. You know, but I've learned some things in the past few months. Just because I can't remember something doesn't mean it didn't happen or that it doesn't matter. I don't remember being your son, but I understand now a little better that -- that you love me and that you did your best for me. So whatever happens next, or whatever has happened, you're my father.
Sam: You found this guy drunk in a bar in New York City, and you want him to operate on Jason?
Robin: I just saw Dr. Drake in the O.R. He was amazing.
Sam: Ok, and I just saw Dr. Drake spike his coffee in the middle of a workday.
Noah: I won't risk hurting a patient. I can't do this operation, I'm sorry.
Sam: Ok, all right, then we will find another surgeon.
Robin: Who? Do you have some encyclopedic knowledge of qualified neurosurgeons? Because, please, enlighten me if you do. I would like to know who else can save Jasonís life, because Noah was my last --
Noah: I know someone else who can do it. He's younger than me and he's got the tools -- brains, education, instinct, and great hands.
Woman: Oh, doctor.
>> On the next "General Hospital" --
Skye: Are you and Tracy going after Jax now?
Carly: What surgery? Why didn't anyone tell me about Jason?
Sam: You're leaving?
Jason: There's no reason for me to stay.
Sam: No, please. There is one more chance.
Robin: I need to see him immediately.
Orderly: The doctor is really busy right now.
Robin: We're all busy.
Man: Do you mind?
