Robin: Jason's test results concern me. He will need to stay in the hospital for at least a week, maybe longer.
Sam: Oh, God, you know he is not going to like that.
Robin: I know, I know Jason hates hospitals, but it's too soon to release him. There's a chance he could relapse. I'm sorry. I know that's not what you wanted to hear.
Sam: No. You know, thank you for being honest. I appreciate you respecting me enough to be straight with me.
Lorenzo: Where is she?
Luke: Skye tells me that you and my lovely niece have patched things up.
Lorenzo: That information is out of date. It's over for Carly and me. As far as I'm concerned, divorce can't happen fast enough.
Luke: Divorce can be expensive.
Lorenzo: Your point?
Luke: Well, someone like Carly -- she could hose you down pretty good in a divorce settlement. Have you considered, oh say, making a preemptive alimony offer?
Lorenzo: You know, as long as it gets me out of my marriage, Carly can have anything she wants.
Luke: I get your point, Lorenzo. I've got my own wife from hell. I say dump the baggage. That's what I'd do if I could.
Lorenzo: I can't imagine why, you being married to Tracy and all.
Luke: She's a demon, man. This place is a snake pit. But then you know that. You sit on the E.L.Q. board. How much stock do you have now, about 30%?
Lorenzo: The percentage doesn't matter. Just one more headache.
Luke: Well, if you're serious about that, I may have a way for you to unburden yourself of both problems.
Sonny: Robin's medicine worked. Hey.
Emily: Oh, Sonny! Thank God. I was so scared.
Sonny: Yeah, me, too.
Emily: Ok. Oh.
Elizabeth: Emily? What in the world are you doing?
Sonny: Carly is, um -- when I see her, it makes me sad. This woman that I loved for so many years -- she isn't there anymore. Carly is an empty shell of herself because she gave me all she had and I wrecked her.
Jason: Are you sure?
Sonny: Carly is the mother of my children. I will take care of her till the day I die. But anything beyond that, any love we had -- it's gone.
Jason: Maybe, you know, Carly’s pulling one of her stunts, making you think that she's worse off than she really is.
Sonny: No, this is real. I can feel Carly’s desperation. It comes off her in waves. And instead of me doing what I usually do, which is taking her in my arms and, you know, reassuring her, all I can drum up now is sadness. Now, the question is, how do I begin a life without her?

Diego: You've been watching too many old movies with Dillon. Look, you don't do what I've done and get away with it and have a happy ending with corny music fading in the background. I drugged you, Georgie -- can you get that? -- And Maxie and Brook Lynn and took naked pictures of her. I framed Dillon and Lucas, and now some poor, innocent guy's going to jail for it.
Georgie: Because of Sage.
Diego: And my father, too, ok? I thought that he'd -- I thought -- forget it, forget it, forget it.
Georgie: No, no, Diego, what, be proud?
Diego: Pay attention. He'd realize that I have guts, that I'm willing to take risks, that nobody messes with my family and gets away with it. But he couldn't even stand up for me any more than he did for Sage.
Georgie: I'm really sorry for you.
Diego: Do you think -- do you think I want your pity?
Georgie: No. No, I just think you want to be loved like everybody else.
Diego: You don't know anything. I need to get out of here.
Georgie: And go where, Diego? Look, if we call my dad, at least I could convince him to go easy on you.
Diego: It's too late, Georgie! I stole a gun, I threatened a police officer, and I took you hostage. Look, I know I told you I was going to leave you here, but -- but I may need you for a little while longer. Get moving. Go.
Georgie: Ok. So all those things you did -- drugging Brook and Maxie -- is that how you get off?
Diego: Listen to me! It wasn't about sex, all right? It was revenge! Can anybody get this?
Georgie: Yes, Diego, maybe. Maybe, if you come with me to the police station and you turn yourself in and have a chance to explain. You haven't killed anybody. There's only so much the cops can do to you, and no matter what your father did before, he will come through for you. Parents always do. You're not in this too deep that you can't pull yourself out. Diego, I'll go with you. I'll tell them that I went voluntarily.
Diego: You'd do that for me?
Georgie: Yeah. Anything to help you get out of this.
Diego: Why, Georgie? You don't even like me.
Georgie: I used to. Diego, underneath all this hurt and anger, you're a good person. I just want to see you happy. Please, please, let's just go back.
Jesse: It's over, Diego, give it up!
Diego: Hey, hey, stay back! Stay back or I'll shoot her.
Courtney: Carly. Hey.
Carly: I am such an idiot.
Courtney: What happened?
Carly: It's over. Everything's over.
Sonny: What I really want doesn't exist anymore. What I want is the woman I fell in love with -- the Carly who was strong, you know, who would get in your face, but deep down inside she had this vulnerability. That -- that was my equal. Sometimes, even now, I don't even recognize her. Look, I'm not saying that I didn't have anything to do -- what I'm saying is Carly was the best thing I ever had, and I destroyed her.
Jason: Now you're walking away? Because, you know, I've heard this before --
Jason: From you, from Carly, and you always end up back together.
Sonny: Well, now it has to be over, Jason.
Sonny: Hey. All right, I'll let you two -- I'm glad that you're ok.
Sam: Is everything all right?
Jason: With Sonny, I'm not -- I'm not sure what to think.
Sam: Well, what about you? How are you feeling?
Jason: You tell me. Did you run into Robin? Did you find out what you wanted to know?
Tracy: Oh. Behold, the man who saved the world. Ugh!
Luke: I'm flattered you remember.
Luke: Hey. Come here a second.
Luke: Come on, take a load off.
Tracy: What are you up to?
Luke: I'm pampering my wife. Would you like a drink, maybe a foot massage?
Tracy: I'd like to know what you're up to.
Luke: You wound me, Tracy. I'm just trying to appreciate my better half. Why are you always so suspicious? Look how tense it makes you, look at your shoulders. Come on, baby, relax, please. Let Luke make it better. You're so tight.
Luke: Loosen up.
Luke: That's it, darling. Isn't that better?
Tracy: Almost perfect.
Luke: Now, what can I do to take you that extra mile? Ooh! Ow!
Tracy: You can tell me exactly what you're up to.
Maxie: Diego, please just let her go.
Diego: Shut up! Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey! Don't try to be a hero, ok? All you're going to do is get your girlfriend's sister killed. Put the gun down. Put it down!
Georgie: Jesse, it's ok. Diego was about to give himself up, right, Diego? Right?
Jesse: Don't believe a word he says.
Diego: Yeah, you listen to him, Georgie. I have no redeeming social value. The world would be so much better without me in it. Isn't that right? Isn't that how you all think?
Dillon: Can somebody tell me when this pity party's supposed to make us change our minds?
Jesse: I got this, Dillon. Take Maxie and get the hell out of here.
Dillon: Diego, let Georgie go before this hole gets any deeper.
Dillon: Diego, you are not thinking clearly. You are not thinking clearly. Georgie didn't stab Sage. None of us did. We were hurt and confused and jealous, and it -- and it made us go crazy and it made us turn on each other. And I'll tell you something else. No matter what Sage wrote in that diary that made your heart bleed, she was awful to all of us.
Diego: You shut the hell up! Shut the hell up! I don't need to hear your excuses, all right? Listen, you hurt her and now you're paying. Put the cell phones down, everybody. Lose those cell phones now! Do it! Put it down.
Georgie: Diego, Diego, you can still fix this.
Diego: No way. No way, my life is over here. Get the gun, get the gun.
Georgie: Ok, ok.
Diego: Stay back. Stay back! Stay back!
Jesse: Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Sam: Robin was hoping for more of an improvement under your condition.
Sam: Like I don't know. She wants to keep you in the hospital for at least a week under observation.
Jason: Oh, no, no, that's not going to happen. I've already been in this place way too long.
Sam: Ok, but I know that she is not going to give on that, so --
Jason: Well, she doesn't run my life.
Sam: No, but she is trying to save it. Jason, she feels --
Jason: Staying or leaving this time is going to be my choice, ok? What about the rest? Come on, Sam. I know you. I know there's more.
Sam: Ok. While you were out, I was able to watch Robin, and she is not just a doctor treating a patient. There are definitely feelings there.
Jason: You're upset.
Sam: No, I am not. I am scared. Because what if her judgment is off? What if she's too emotional about you to do her job right?
Carly: How'd you do it? How were you able to walk away from Jason?
Courtney: What do you mean, Carly?
Carly: I know how much you loved him, so how did you manage to walk away whole instead of missing all those pieces that you had given him?
Courtney: In the end, I mean, there wasn't anything else I could do. I know it sounds simple, but it wasn’t. You know, leaving was the only choice that I had left. Or I guess keeping those pieces of myself intact became more important than losing myself in Jason.
Monica: Oh, Sonny? Thank you.
Monica: Could I talk to you a moment about Emily?
Monica: Well, you probably don't know, but she has taken a leave of absence from med school.
Sonny: Yeah, she told me.
Monica: Oh. Oh, well -- well, great. Then that means you've been able to think about it, at least. I mean, Emily -- well, she is so gifted. She would make a brilliant doctor. And in order to realize that dream -- and it is, Sonny, it is her dream -- she's got to finish med school.
Sonny: So far, we're on the same page.
Monica: Well, great.
Sonny: Where are you going with this?
Monica: I'm asking you to do what's right for Emily, and that's -- that's relieve her of her obligations that she seems to think she has with your children and let her go and pursue her dream, let her finish med school.
Sonny: Well, I already talked to Emily about her future, and she wants to keep looking after Michael and Morgan. But if that changes, I'll be -- you know, she can go anywhere she wants, with my blessing, my gratitude. What I won't do is I won't -- I won't work your agenda behind Emily’s back. Emily is going to do what she wants to do.
Elizabeth: I don't think I've seen you drink anything harder than wine or champagne ever, and now you're holding a monster hit of -- what is that, scotch? Emily, what's going on with you?
Emily: You know, I had a dream. It was, uh, disturbing.
Elizabeth: Well, what was it about?
Emily: I -- I don't know. It was jumbled. It was out of context. It made no sense. I'm -- I'm sure that's happened to you.
Elizabeth: Well, I think all dreams make sense on some level.
Emily: You really believe that?
Elizabeth: Yeah, well, it's our subconscious' way of dealing with issues, fears, subliminal desires. Dreams have a firm basis in reality.
Emily: It -- it couldn’t.
Elizabeth: You can deny it, but I think I know what your dream was about -- or should I say who.
Tracy: Tell me what you're up to or I'll twist it off!
Luke: What, have you been taking lessons from Alice? Ugh!
Lulu: Ok, sorry, I'm obviously interrupting something.
Lulu: Please don't feel obligated to enlighten me.
Luke: Don't go, don't go! Don't leave me! What are you doing up?
Lulu: What are you, the sleep police?
Luke: Look, just drop the sarcasm. I want you to apologize for insulting your stepmother.
Lulu: First of all, this woman is not my stepmother, she is your wife. Your disgusting union with her has nothing to do with me. And secondly, I am not sorry. Tracy is mean and cruel and deserved every word that I said.
Luke: All right, all right, all right. I think the two of you should work this out. Play nice. Ooh.
Tracy: You are even better than I gave you credit for.
Lulu: I wasn't acting. You are mean and cruel.
Tracy: Be that as it may, you insulted me for Luke and Skye’s benefit, and it worked like a charm. He believes we detest each other -- perfect climate for us to go into business.
Lulu: What do you want me to do?
Tony: So we're going to try you without the equipment for a while. I'll check in on you later.
Jason: Have you been fighting with Robin?
Sam: Brr. Ok. Honestly, I threw her out of the room once, yeah.
Jason: Ok. Now, in case -- just in case you were wondering, Robin's motives don't matter. Ok? I remember you and I remember our life together, and that's all that matters to me. Do you believe that?
Sam: I do.
Jason: Well, you're going to be saying that for real soon.
Sam: I can't wait.
Jason: Me, neither. But if we're not getting married in the hospital, I got to -- I got to start getting my strength back.
Sam: I don't really know --
Jason: Oh, no, no, it's ok.
Sam: If that's a good idea.
Jason: It's ok, my body will tell me.
Sam: Ok. All right. You know what, I'm sorry for being really annoying about this. I just -- Jason? Jason? Dr. Jones!
Emily: How could you possibly know who I dreamed about?
Elizabeth: It's not that hard to figure out, Em. You're here day in and day out, seeing Sonny. No one expects you to control it.
Emily: I just -- I --
Elizabeth: You don't have to explain. Your dream was about Reese, wasn't it?
Emily: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, her -- her death is a big, big part of it, and being out of control, yeah.
Elizabeth: And all the emotional complications you'll have to face?
Courtney: Hey, Sonny. I've been looking all over for you.
Sonny: What's up?
Courtney: It's Carly. She's up on the roof.
Carly: Don't what? Don't what, Carly, don't jump? What, you think that I'm going to kill myself? Over you? You pompous ass.
Carly: Dying happens to be the last thing on my mind right now. And I know that may come as a surprise to you, considering a few weeks ago I was a puddle on the floor. And that was probably the lowest point in my life, but that's over now. Now I want to live. And I want to live for me, not for you.
Sonny: I'd like to believe that, but every time I do --
Carly: There's no "but" Sonny, ok? There's no buts, there's no tricks, there's no games here. Today's your lucky day. I'm not your guilty obligation anymore. I'm not that pathetic thing that you need to carry around for your kids. And how about this -- you don't have to feel sorry for me because I'm not as desperate as you seem to think I am.
Sonny: You heard me with Jason?
Carly: Yeah, I heard enough. I heard more than enough, and it was like a knife through my heart. But then the funny thing is I realized that those hurtful words were the kick in the butt that I needed. So actually I need to thank you. Thanks for holding up a mirror to me. Because everything you said was the God's honest truth.
Tracy: Luke is cooking up a scheme. I can smell it.
Lulu: Well, what else is new?
Tracy: He's trying to gain an advantage over me, and I need you to find out what it is.
Lulu: And why would I do this again?
Tracy: So that we can accomplish our mutual goals, like getting rid of Skye, for one.
Lulu: Huh. I don't know if I really want to get rid of Skye. She's an easy target and she actually likes me.
Tracy: You're smarter than that. She is just sucking up to you so she can convince your father that she's all maternal and wonderful. I don't pretend. With me, you get the unvarnished truth.
Lulu: There's a point.
Tracy: So you'll help me?
Lulu: I haven't decided.
Tracy: I do not have the luxury of all the time in the world. When your father thinks of a plan, he acts on it. He's probably already put the wheels in motion.
Lulu: And you say all this like I'm supposed to care.
Tracy: Whoa! Ok! Kid gloves are off, my friend! You think living with me in this house is unpleasant now? I can make it pure torture. I am choosing to be your friend, partner. What do you say?
Lulu: Not interested.
Maxie: What happened? Where's Diego?
Jesse: I lost him.
Georgie: So what happens to Diego now?
Jesse: Well, nothing good. He's racked up a list of charges as long as my arm and, for his grand finale, he takes you hostage at gunpoint.
Georgie: Well, what happens if the police catch him?
Jesse: Depends on how it goes down. If he turns himself in, he might be able to cut a deal. If we have to hunt him down, then it'll get ugly. He might even get himself killed.
Georgie: That's so wrong.
Dillon: What? Why?
Georgie: Diego's made a lot of mistakes for a lot of screwed-up reasons, but -- but he does not deserve to be shot down like a rabid animal.
Maxie: He is an animal, and whatever happens to him he brought on himself.
Dillon: Why are you defending him right now? Seriously, why?
Dillon: Georgie? Georgie!
Monica: Well, apparently, your body has rejected Robin's drug regimen.
Sam: Then try something else.
Robin: There is nothing else.
Sam: There is nothing else? So Jason went through hell for nothing?
Jason: Sam, it's ok.
Robin: I told you all along that the drugs were experimental, that there were no guarantees.
Sam: Yeah? So what now?
Robin: I have nothing else to offer.
Monica: Which leaves us really with no other choice than to revisit the idea of surgery.
Lulu: Why can't I touch anything in this old, moldy house?
Luke: Because every piece of this crap cost 10 times more than your last 10 years of allowance.
Lulu: Like you were around to give me one.
Luke: Did you make nice-nice with Tracy?
Lulu: Hmm, about as nice as she made with me.
Luke: Careful, Lulu. You're much too green to spit in the eye of anyone as cold and hard as your stepmother.
Lulu: I'm so intimidated.
Luke: Well, you should be. If you want to live up to your legacy as a Spencer, if you want to go head-to-head with worthy opponents like Tracy, then you're going to have to listen and learn from the master. Just snarling and insulting people, that's not going to get you anywhere. You have to attack them where they live. That's usually their bank account. If that doesn't work, then try to weasel your way into some personal, intimate family business.
Lulu: This is really cool, you telling me the ways of the world.
Luke: Are you interested?
Lulu: I could do worse than learn from you. Tell me more. How do you -- how do you keep the upper hand on Tracy?
Luke: Well, you just have to stay one step ahead of her. I'll give you an example. Lorenzo Alcazar came in here and tells me he's going to dump Carly. So I tell him what he has to do is take his E.L.Q. stock and put it into the divorce agreement, give it over to Carly just to make these people crazy. He's willing to do that. Once that happens, I step in all modest and innocent and I help Carly, who is already, as you know, a tangerine short of a fruit salad, and I -- I get her to understand that I'm the only person in the world who can make full use of that stock for her. You dig?
Lulu: Oh, and use them against Tracy to get her to do what you want?
Luke: That's how it's done.
Lulu: That's great, dad. Really great.
Carly: Look at me. I'm pathetic. Sneaking out of a mental hospital to prove to you that I'm worth loving, clinging, crying, begging you to give me another chance, humiliating myself in front of my children. I agree with you. I don't recognize the woman I've become. And I would toss her off the roof of this building and go on about my business if I could, but we're a little tangled up at the moment. But that's just a temporary condition. I'm going to separate myself from the needy, pathetic Carly, but I need to separate myself from you.
Sonny: Carly, listen --
Carly: Sonny, you've said your piece. I want to say mine. You are poison to me. And I understand that in a way that I never understood that before. So you don't have to let me down. I'm going to walk away, and I'm going to walk away on my own.
Sonny: Wait --
Dillon: I couldn't find her anywhere.
Maxie: I don't understand why she would run off to help Diego.
Mac: What were you thinking? I took you off this case.
Jesse: I had a hunch.
Mac: Phone it in next time.
Maxie: Dad, it's not Jesse’s fault! He did it because he knew how worried I was about Georgie.
Mac: That doesn't cut it. Jesse's hot-dogging has gotten Georgie kidnapped again!
Dillon: That's not what happened.
Dillon: Diego didn't force Georgie to go with him, he let her go. She made that decision on her own.
Diego: Whoa! What are you doing? What are you doing? I let you go, Georgie, get out of here! Get out of -- no!
Georgie: It looks like you're going to turn yourself in after all, Diego.
Diego: Why are you doing this, Georgie?
Georgie: Call me crazy, but I don't want to see you get yourself killed.
Jason: Nothing's changed since the last time we discussed surgery.
Monica: The surgery could save your life, Jason.
Jason: Can you tell me that I'm not going to end up a vegetable? I'd like an answer.
Jason: Dr. Jones, you said I could lose my vision, correct?
Jason: Or I could die anyway?
Jason: Then my answer hasn't changed.
Monica: Jason --
Jason: Monica, this -- it's my choice. I'm sorry, can everyone just -- just leave? Please? Sam. Not you.
Sam: Are you sure? I don't know what will happen if you have this surgery. But I am very clear on what will happen if you don’t.
Jason: You agree with them. You think I should have the surgery.
Sam: You aren't going to, are you?
Jason: I can’t.
Lulu: Whoa. I know something you don't know
Tracy: You spoke to your father?
Lulu: More like he talked at me.
Lulu: Using something against you to keep what he wants.
Tracy: Oh, good work! Do tell.
Lulu: I'm willing to do that -- for a price.
Mac: There's no sign of the suspect in quadrant four. Keep looking. He has my daughter. Robin? You all right?
Robin: It's happening again. I had to stand by and watch Stone die, and now I'm going to have to do it with Jason. The work, the love -- none of it matters.
Mac: Hey. That's not true. Love always matters.
Jason: I'm sorry, I tried it your way, and now I have to try it mine.
Sam: Just tell me what you want to do.
Jason: Let's just get out of here. Let's go, let's go back to the last place we were happy.
Jason: Yeah, I liked it there. You loved it there. I want to go back.
Sam: You are talking about a place to die.
Jason: To -- no. To live. To breathe the fresh air, to watch those amazing sunsets. You know, I want to walk on the beach with you. I want to fall asleep with you, listen to the ocean. Look, however much time I have left, I'm going to live my life the way I want. And that's with you.
Sam: I love you.
[Knock on door]
Monica: Are you starting to have feelings for Sonny?
Emily: What? Of course not.
Carly: It's easy to fall in love with Sonny. I should know.
Emily: I'm taking care of your boys, Carly, that's all.
Elizabeth: Dreams are based on subconscious desires.
Emily: And fears. You said that, too, Elizabeth, and I'm afraid of making another mistake. Reese should be alive, and I'm sorry!
Sonny: Hey. Hey, hey.
Emily: I'm so, so sorry!
Sonny: Listen, you don't have to be sorry. There's nothing to be afraid of, ok?
Emily: No! No, everything -- this is a dream. It's a dream. I have to wake up. I -- I have to wake up. Ok. Ok.
Sonny: Emily, wake up. Emily?
Sonny: It's all right.
Carly: We need to talk.
Lainey: Oh, how nice of you to stop by. And not a moment too soon. The van will be here any second to cart you off to Shadybrook.
Carly: Wow. So much for your bedside manner.
Lainey: This is not a country club, Carly, this is a mental facility. If you are that unstable to stay put --
Carly: I am very stable, in a rocky kind of way, and I know I have to go a long way before I can get better.
Lainey: Oh, next you're going to tell me you learned your lesson?
Carly: Look, listen to me. I need your help to get better. You can lock me up in here, you can brick the walls. I don't care, whatever it takes.
Carly: I understand your reluctance to take me at my word, but I need you to give me a chance to prove myself.
Lainey: So what inspired this incredible turnaround? Oh, let me guess -- it has something to do with Sonny?
Carly: Sonny who? Ok, let's say it, uh, had a little bit to do with Sonny. He made me take a long look at myself, and I didn't like what I saw. And my boys deserve better than what they've been getting. They need a mom who is strong and self-reliant, and that's exactly what I want to give them. But there's a catch, a deadline. I want to be whole and healthy by Christmas.
Sonny: You ok?
Emily: Yeah, uh, fine, yeah.
Sonny: Well, how come I don't believe you?
Emily: I don't know. Why?
Sonny: Well, I saw your mother at the hospital, ok, and we talked about you being here.
Emily: Whatever mom says, don't -- don't pay attention. She's notoriously overprotective.
Sonny: Yeah, but she made some good points, ok? I think that you're hiding from Reese’s death, running away from medicine and calling it a sabbatical. Right?
Sonny: But that's a dangerous first step towards giving up on something that you really believe in. Right?
Sonny: So I think in the long run, you're going to regret it.
Emily: I think you're right about one thing. Maybe running away from what scares me isn't the answer.
>> On the next "General Hospital" --
Dillon: Diego kidnapped Georgie and we need you to tell us where they are.
Diego: Why are you scrambling so hard to save my life?
Jason: It's good to be back.
Courtney: You had your grandmother committed?
Nikolas: You're safe.
Elizabeth: I just can't believe it was a year ago today that Nikolas and Emily got married.
Jax: Maybe that's our cue.
