General Hospital Transcript Wednesday 8/3/05
Nikolas: I hate to make you wait. I just -- I really want to help Lucky through this. Yeah, yeah, he should be here any second. Ok. I'll be home as soon as I can, ok? All right.
Courtney: I don't know. I just wish it were a stranger carrying the baby instead of Elizabeth.
Mike: Oh, honey, I'm sorry. But, you know, Elizabethís life is likely to intersect with yours for a very long time, unless you and Jax decide you want to pack up and move somewhere else after the baby comes. I mean, you can afford it.
Mike: Yeah, Kellyís. Hey, listen, I've been waiting for that delivery for a week.
Courtney: Hi. We got to stop meeting like this.
Nikolas: I'm here to see Lucky.
Courtney: Oh, ok. Here he comes.
Nikolas: I'll see you later.
Lucky: You been waiting long?
Nikolas: Uh -- no. But I was kind of expecting you to come through this door. What's going on?
Lucky: I'm living here again.
[Fire alarm beeps]
Elizabeth: Cameron? Cameron, mommy's coming!
Stan: I can't find Jason or Sam. I thought they might be here.
Sonny: What's the problem?
Stan: Well, they had an audiotape and I was able to lift a small section of it. I think you might want to hear it.
Sonny: What's on it?
Stan: Dr. Thomas, from a session with Michael. Here.
Dr. Thomas' voice: When I count to three, you're going to wake up --
Dr. Thomas' voice: A.J.
Stan: I'm sorry. That's as good as I was able to get.
Sonny: If that's what I think it is, that son of a bitch hypnotized my son.
Sam: Jason! Jason. Somebody help!
Monica: Oh, my God, not again.
Sam: Monica, he's not breathing.

Maxie: Well, thanks for a fun evening, but I have to go.
Jesse: What are you doing?
Maxie: The usual -- push, pull, push, pull, that whole dance we do?
Jesse: Maxie, that's crazy. Wha--
Maxie: I was just wondering how you'd like your little dance if you were in my shoes.
[Fire alarm beeps]
Jax: Elizabeth! Ugh! Elizabeth!
Jax: Eliza-- Elizabeth! Elizabeth?
Jax: Elizabeth. Wait, I got you, I got you.
Nikolas: Wow. You moved out of the apartment, huh? I wish I would have gotten to you sooner.
Lucky: Gotten to me about what?
Nikolas: Well, Jax, he -- he asked me to run interference.
Lucky: Do you understand how tired I am about hearing that guy? I mean, the guy is, like, all over my fiancťe. That's who he's hovering over.
Nikolas: No, he doesn't want to mess up your relationship with Elizabeth, ok? He said that. He just wants to take the pressure off of her while she's pregnant.
Lucky: Well, that's mission accomplished. That's exactly why I moved out.
Nikolas: I don't know, Lucky --
Lucky: No, I didn't dump her. I love her.
Nikolas: I know. I know, but it just doesn't add up for me. I mean, if you love her, don't you think you should stay and fight?
Lucky: Elizabeth needs to take care of herself and this baby, not worry whether Jax and I are going to kill each other.
Nikolas: It just feels like a bad idea to me, Lucky. Can't you just --
Lucky: Jax treats this baby like another billion-dollar investment that he can micromanage.
Nikolas: Well, he's anxious, Lucky. It's a big deal.
Lucky: He obsesses. Every time I turn around, he's at her front door with another helpful suggestion, and every day he checks up on Elizabeth, day and night. When I'm not feeling totally smothered, I feel excluded. And I bet Courtney feels exactly the same way.
Courtney: Courtney feels the same way about what?
Lucky: The chili here beats Jakeís recipe, hands down.
Courtney: Ok, come on, guys, this isn't about chili. This is about babies.
Nikolas: Look, Courtney, there's no reason to involve yourself with Lucky and Elizabethís problems. I mean --
Courtney: I'm sorry, but that problem that you're talking about, Nikolas, is eventually supposed to be my baby. So, yeah, Elizabethís pregnancy is my problem, too.
Sam: Where's the ambulance?
Alan: It's coming!
Monica: Ok, he's breathing.
Alan: I'll direct them in!
Monica: Jason, do you know where you are?
Jason: A.J. --
Sam: Hey, what about A.J.?
Monica: Jason? Jason? Come on, Jason.
Dr. Thomas' voice: You're going to wake up --
Dr. Thomas' voice: A.J.
Sonny: No one said anything to me about hypnosis.
Reese: Maybe it's standard.
Sonny: On a kid who's been traumatized? The least he could have done is get my permission.
Michael: Is Dr. Thomas here, because I thought I heard his voice.
Courtney: I want this baby just as much as Jax does. And Nikolas can tell you I know a little something about feeling left out.
Nikolas: We were talking before and --
Courtney: Elizabeth -- I mean, she is giving us a wonderful and generous gift -- a miracle, really -- but, you know, another woman is having my husband's baby.
Lucky: Yeah, the woman I'm supposed to marry.
Courtney: Which only complicates things even more. And, yeah, ok, if the surrogate were a stranger, then Jax and I could have our little family and we could go our whole lives, whatever, without crossing paths, we could -- I don't know -- it's just Elizabeth is a friend.
Lucky: Yeah, Courtney, you said -- you and Jax said this is what you wanted. You said you wanted a surrogate that you knew, someone that you could trust.
Courtney: I should have thought it through more than I did --
Lucky: Yeah, you should have thought about that.
Courtney: All I'm saying is that you're not alone, ok? This is putting a strain on everyone.
Nikolas: Look, it's a little late for regrets. The baby's on the way.
Lucky: Yeah, but I want to know how the hell we all feel about trust now.
Dispatcher: PCFD is dispatched to a fire at 105 Edsel Street. Three units --
Elizabeth: Jax, this is so unnecessary.
Jax: Yeah, I think doctors and nurses -- they always make the worst patients, don't they?
Orderly: I'll be right back.
Elizabeth: Ok. Yeah, listen, we were checked out and treated in the E.R., We're fine. And as soon as Cameron sees his pediatrician, we'll be able to go --
Jax: And you see Dr. Meadows. And if she says that you have to stay the night, I'll get you guys a private room and you can put a crib in there for Cameron.
Elizabeth: That's fine. I'll stay if Dr. Meadows says so.
Jax: All right. And I'll call Lucky for you.
Elizabeth: No, no, I don't think so.
Jax: Yeah, you're probably right. Mine's probably the last voice that he wants to hear. But, you know, the fact is I actually -- I came to see Lucky tonight, because I thought that we could bury the hatchet.
Elizabeth: He moved out.
Orderly: Your doctor will see you now.
Jesse: This push-pull dance, or whatever you call it, isn't some game I'm running to jerk you around.
Maxie: Well, now you want me, then you don't? What would you call it? I think you need to be a little more decisive.
Jesse: I know what I want.
Maxie: Why don't you clue me in?
Jesse: If I had it my way, I'd pull you in so fast your head would spin.
Maxie: Nice. What's stopping you?
Jesse: Look at you. You're so --
Maxie: If you say "cute," there's going to be some massive pain involved.
Jesse: Beautiful and strong and smart. You put your life on the line for me. You believed in me. And did I mention you're hot?
Maxie: Yeah, I can see why you'd have mixed feelings.
Jesse: You're so special.
Maxie: Are these supposed to be the negatives? Because it's just not going to fly.
Jesse: I'm a dead end, Maxie. You can do better.
Maxie: To whose standards?
Jesse: You don't have to settle for a guy with a limited future in a dangerous job.
Maxie: I like danger.
Jesse: You think you do. Look, I chose a career that makes a committed relationship impossible. You were right to push me away just now. This would be nothing but a mistake.
Maxie: Why did I have to go and open my big mouth?
Sonny: Reese and I, we were just discussing your sessions with Dr. Thomas. The tape got damaged and -- do you remember what you guys said?
Michael: No. Why?
Sonny: Well, I'm just curious. He said something about wanting you to wake up, and then the tape got a little scratchy, and then he said something about A.J.
Michael: Well, he's always talking about A.J.
Sonny: You know what hypnosis is?
Michael: Kind of.
Sonny: Do you think Dr. Thomas hypnotized you?
Michael: He might have. Is that bad?
Sonny: No, no, not necessarily. Why don't you go ahead and go to bed, ok?
Michael: Ok. Love you.
Sonny: Love you, too, buddy. Don't forget.
Michael: Good night, Reese.
Reese: Good night, Michael. Sleep tight.
Sonny: What's the point of hypnosis?
Reese: To make him remember or to make him forget.
Sonny: Yeah. How bad is he hurt?
Tony: Jason is suffering from a concussion. He should regain consciousness in two or three hours.
Sam: Well, what if he doesn't?
Tony: Then I'll admit him and I'll keep him here for the night, but I don't think that's going to be necessary. This is not a replay of Jasonís previous accident.
Alan: But he's still unconscious. How can you know?
Tony: C.T. scan came out normal, doesn't appear to be any brain damage at all, and there's nothing like the cognitive loss that he suffered a decade ago.
Sam: Yeah, well, would it help him if I were in there with him?
Tony: It's hard to tell, but I would do it. Go on in. And it's still -- it's a bump, it's a bad bump on the head, but that's all it is. He may not even have to be transferred to a room.
Monica: Yeah. Well, it isn't going to happen, you know. He isn't going to wake up and remember the life he had with us.
Alan: You know, Monica, for a heart surgeon, you make a lousy neurosurgeon.
Monica: I'm just saying that his mind was altered. A bump on the head isn't going to reverse it.
Alan: Well, you know me. Every once in a while I forget to be cynical and I expect a miracle.
Monica: Ok --
Alan: But thank you for setting me straight.
Monica: Fine. I just didn't want you to set yourself up for disappointment. I don't want to destroy your hope.
Alan: You can't destroy what doesn't exist.
Sam: Ok, you have to wake up, Jason, because you have to tell me what you were trying to say about A.J. You remembered something, didn't you? Look, I'm right here and I'm going to wait here until you wake up and we can figure this out together.
Courtney: I can't believe this, Jax. What happened?
Lucky: Hey. Where's Elizabeth?
Nikolas: We went over there. It looks bad.
Jax: Yeah, they're -- they're both ok. They're both ok. They suffered from smoke inhalation, but the paramedics gave them oxygen on the way to the E.R., and they're both breathing normally now. They're both fine.
Courtney: Thank God, Jax.
Jax: Ok, Cameronís with a pediatrician, and Elizabeth is getting checked out by Dr. Meadows to make sure that the baby's ok.
Lucky: So what, are you permanently parked outside of our house?
Jax: If I got my facts straight, it's not your house at all. And I guess someone needs to keep an eye on the place since you abandoned Elizabeth.
Nikolas: All right, all right, come on, come on, come on. Let's not do this.
Maxie: Boy, for someone so cute, you're pretty lame.
Jesse: Maxie, I'm sorry I've hurt you.
Maxie: Is that the best kiss-off you've got -- "You're beautiful, you're special, I can't be with you"? Ew.
Jesse: This isn't a kiss-off.
Maxie: See? Push, pull, push, pull.
Jesse: Are you even listening to a word I've said?
Maxie: Yes, and I think it's a crock. My dad's a police officer, remember, and he's got a pretty decent personal life.
Jesse: You know, your dad's right about me. You need to set your sights higher.
Maxie: Well, Brad Pitt's a little busy, so you're going to have to do. I never would have pinned you for a guy with self-esteem issues. And police work is pretty honorable. If you gave me half of a chance, I could help you get over that.
Jesse: Look, I'm at risk every day, and I don't want you involved in it.
Maxie: Hello! You hid out in my room -- when I was completely helpless, might I add -- as the whole PCPD was looking for you. Oh, yeah, there was a rogue cop on the run who'd already shot the D.A.
Jesse: I didn't know you then.
Maxie: You do now. Did I freeze up? Did I panic? Did I lose it? No, I covered for you. I dodged bullets. I nearly got blown to pieces, and I never caved.
Jesse: I said you were strong.
Maxie: Gee, thanks. You know, we could say that you're alive today because I had your back. But that would kind of make me your guardian angel, and I think that's a little too hard for you to swallow.
Jesse: I don't believe in angels. But if I did, they'd look like you.
Maxie: Is this the part where you want me again?
Jesse: Oh, God, this would be so easy if you just --
Maxie: You know, for a cop, you have really bad judgment. I guess you just made the biggest mistake of your life, no kidding. Well, your loss. I'll see you later.
Alan: Tony was right. Jason will wake up in a matter of hours. It doesn't mean we're going to get him back. He will still be barely a shadow of the boy that we loved.
Monica: Well, it's a lot better than having to bury him. Actually, I'm really amazed at how resilient Jason is.
Alan: I can't stop thinking about that night a few days after the car crash. Jason was comatose. None of us expected him to live. Then his heart stopped.
Monica: The one -- the one night nobody was with him. Thank God you were there to resuscitate him.
Alan: But his brain was deprived of oxygen for several minutes. We will never know the amount of damage that did.
Monica: What's this?
Alan: No, give it back to me, Monica.
Monica: No, no, that's A.J.'s handwriting.
Alan: It's -- it's private.
Monica: Alan --
Monica: What? This was written 10 years ago. Oh, my God.
Sam: Jason had little bits of memory from right after his accident with A.J. Somehow he thinks that Dr. Thomas and A.J. are connected.
Sonny: So he shot himself up? What was he thinking?
Sam: Sonny, he was trying to help Michael.
Reese: You know, Sonny, this whole thing could fit. Rachel Adair tells me she saw Dr. Thomas coming out of A.J.'s room the night that he died, and then a few hours later she's found dead in her apartment with a stomach full of pills and a suicide note laying next to her, confessing --
Sam: Convenient timing, don't you think?
Reese: It's crazy. I mean, ok, let's just think for a second that Dr. Thomas killed A.J.
Sonny: Ok, why would Michaelís shrink kill A.J.?
Sam: Jason overheard a conversation. A nurse had contacted Dr. Thomas and said that A.J. wanted to speak to him and only him. He insisted on it.
Reese: Ok, so let's just say that A.J. and Dr. Thomas conspired to commit some crime 10 years ago.
Sonny: Like what?
Reese: I don't know that yet, but smash-cut to April and A.J.'s busted for kidnapping.
Sonny: So you're saying that he was already planning the insanity defense?
Reese: Right. All he needs is a doctor to sign off on it. So he goes back to his old pal Asher Thomas, threatens to expose the crime they committed, and there you have a motive for murder -- shut A.J. up.
Sam: But Michael was a witness. He would have seen if it were Dr. Thomas, but he said it was Rachel who did it.
Sonny: Michael was hypnotized.
Reese: So Dr. Thomas manufactured a murder suspect, and then he created his own eyewitness.
Sonny: You know that tape that you and Jason got from Dr. Thomas? Ok, what you're hearing on it is, like, "Wake up," right, and then it gets a little static, and then you hear A.J.'s name.
Reese: It's not hard to fill in the missing pieces.
Dr. Thomas: Don't strain yourselves. Why don't you just ask me?
Georgie: Maxie's not here. She's not at home. I -- Dillon, I'm starting to get worried.
Dillon: She's probably fine.
Georgie: "Fine"? Dillon, this is Maxie we're talking about. I love my sister, but -- and she has many great qualities, but a sense of perspective isn't one of them. You know, however Maxieís feeling at the moment, it's her entire world. If she's in love, it's roses and cotton candy, but if she's hurt, she turns into attitude girl. She's the coolest and the baddest and she's going to do everything to show -- she will do the first stupid thing that pops into her head.
Dillon: Wow. Don't think you're being a little harsh? She wanted alone time. She's probably hiding somewhere crying.
Georgie: I hide somewhere and cry. Maxie lashes out.
Dillon: You do?
Georgie: You know, maybe I should call my mom. I don't want to worry her, but --
Dillon: Wait, hey, hold on a second. Forget about Maxie. Let's go back to you. Hiding and crying -- is that -- is that ever about me?
Dillon: Well, why didn't you tell me?
Georgie: I don't know. I guess I felt kind of silly. You know, because when I really cried over you is when we were broken up and you were with Sage and I didn't exactly want to call and say, "Hi, I'm bawling my eyes out because you're with another girl, make me feel better."
Dillon: Do you still do it?
Georgie: Not a lot.
Dillon: Not a lot is not the same thing as not at all.
Georgie: Dillon, sometimes I get insecure or frustrated because I think you don't understand, so I go in my room and I cry and I feel sorry for myself. And when I finally calm down and think about it, I realize that you did nothing wrong and I -- we have no reason to be fighting.
Dillon: Ok, well, can you do me a favor the next time that happens? Can you call me so I can tell you how much I love you and care about you and -- and that I'm sorry that I hurt you?
Georgie: Dillon, I just told you you didn't do anything wrong.
Dillon: I know, but I still don't like to think of you crying, and I still want you to know how much I love you.
Georgie: I do.
Dillon: Ok. So what do you want to do about Maxie?
Georgie: Maxie's probably fine.
Dillon: Hmm? Ok.
Jesse: I don't want you to go.
Maxie: Yeah, but how long until you change your mind again, because this really isn't fun for me.
Jesse: What, you're going to make me beg?
Maxie: No. Not exactly. Here's the deal. If I leave tonight, I'm not coming back. But if you want me, you have to say it and mean it and give us a chance to be together, really together.
Jesse: You know I want you. I probably don't deserve you, but I want you anyway.
Maxie: That's a good start. You should keep going.
Jesse: I don't have the heart to send you away. I don't even have the heart to pretend.
Maxie: Never again?
Jesse: Come here.
Courtney: Come on, guys, really. You know, the last thing she needs to see right now is you guys at each other's throats.
Lucky: I never abandoned Elizabeth.
Jax: Elizabeth agreed to be a surrogate to pay your medical bills, and then you just leave.
Lucky: I was against the surrogacy from day one.
Courtney: Oh, come on, Lucky. You know she did it to help you.
Jax: It's ironic, isn't it? She's carrying our child because she loves you and you just abandon her, you just leave.
Nikolas: That's not the case, Jax, ok? Lucky did this to take the stress off Elizabeth. Come on.
Jax: You know, you should have just done what I said from the first place. You should have just taken the desk job during the pregnancy.
Lucky: And you don't get to decide.
Courtney: Jax, come on, let's just go.
Lucky: Listen, you know what? I can't change what happened, but all I can do now is give her peace of mind.
Jax: This is all about your jealousy.
Lucky: Oh, is that so hard for you to understand? What if she was pregnant with his child?
Courtney: All right.
Lucky: How thrilled would you be?
Courtney: No, we're going. Come on.
Nikolas: What are you doing? It's a surrogacy, Lucky. Come on.
Lucky: Listen to me. This is the woman that I love and she's pregnant by another man. You know, I'm stuck in my head. I know that it's supposed to be all clinical, but I feel like I'm going to explode. That is not stress free. The only way that I know how I can help that is just to leave.
Monica: You've known all these years. You knew that A.J. tried to kill Jason.
Alan: We all thought that Jason was going to be a vegetable. A.J. was just eaten up with guilt, driving drunk for being so careless. The poor kid couldn't get away from it.
Monica: A.J. was so eaten up with guilt at the damage he'd done that he tried to kill his brother instead? That is crazy, Alan.
Alan: No one was in their right mind back then, Monica.
Monica: Are you trying to defend him?
Alan: No, but I understand it. Look, the bottom line is that Jason was dying. I was there, thank God, and I saved his life, and that all that matters.
Monica: Ok. Ok, so what soulless monster did A.J. hire to murder my son?
Alan: A.J. wouldnít tell me. And I didn't want to know.
Dr. Thomas: "You're going to wake up and remember A.J. without guilt or fear." Those are the words I used with Michaelís in the session. Now it's my turn. Someone broke into my office and stole that tape. Between the D.A. and you, I'm surrounded by thieves.
Sonny: Ok, who gave you the permission to hypnotize my son?
Dr. Thomas: Hypnosis is a standard tool in my trade.
Reese: You should have asked.
Dr. Thomas: I did. Durant had custody at the time, and he gave me permission. And I -- it worked, I might add.
Reese: How do you figure? Michael miraculously remembered seeing poor, dead Rachel Adair smother A.J.
Dr. Thomas: That's only one index of the success of this. More importantly, he no longer has any need for an imaginary friend. Jodie has left the building.
Sam: Well, Tony Jones says that Jasonís going to wake up soon.
Dr. Thomas: You know, it's obvious that you broke into my office and stole that tape when you and Jason broke in. And you went through my files. You know, I could call the police, but I won't -- for Michaelís sake.
Sonny: That's up to you, doctor.
Dr. Thomas: Well, I wish him a speedy recovery. Good night.
Sam: Really, how much of that do you buy into?
Reese: I just wish there was some real evidence that linked Dr. Thomas to A.J. in the past.
Sam: There is. It's in Jasonís head. He started to remember some things when the drug kicked in, but he was too incoherent to say anything.
Reese: Well, what if he was hallucinating?
Sonny: Well, it wouldn't be the first time he's trapped inside his own head.
Sam: Guess what, Jason -- Sonny said that Stan managed to salvage some of the tape we stole. Dr. Thomas -- he hypnotized Michael. And I bet that bastard made him believe it was Rachel who killed A.J. You were right. Jason, you were right, it was Dr. Thomas. But we can't prove it without you. You are the only one who knows the link between A.J. and Dr. Thomas. So you have to wake up. You have to wake up so we can figure out the motive.
Alan: When Jason woke up and A.J. realized that he wasn't brain dead after all, he was just so full of remorse. That's when he wrote that letter. A full confession. He was ready to turn himself over to the police.
Monica: What, and you talked him out of it?
Alan: I was just trying to protect him. It wasn't going to bring Jason back. The family had enough to deal with.
Monica: Alan, did it ever occur to you that A.J. needed to come clean about this? I mean, carrying the weight of what did -- that was going to eventually break him.
Alan: Is this the part where you blame me for everything?
Monica: Well, Alan, you made a mistake. You made a terrible mistake keeping the secret. Now you are -- you're going to have to carry the burden.
Alan: I am already carrying it, Monica, every moment of every day. I swear to you, I did it out of love for you and for them. I've lost both my sons. I'm losing you. Don't you realize that I am paying for this every single day of my life?
Monica: Ok. You could have burned this letter. But obviously, in your heart, Alan, you wanted the truth to come out.
Alan: Listen to me. A.J. paid enough. He paid enough, Monica. Don't you think it's our responsibility as parents to show that we loved him and just let him rest in peace?
Lucky: What did the doctor say?
Elizabeth: We're ok and that we're very fortunate. I left Cameronís bottle on the stove, which makes it my fault.
Lucky: No, it's no one's fault.
Elizabeth: Everything's kind of ruined, huh?
Lucky: Just what do you need? Just tell me.
Elizabeth: You know, I've got everything under control. I'm --
Lucky: You know what? Let me take you to your grandmotherís. Just -- you need your rest.
Elizabeth: Yeah, well, that's not really --
Lucky: Necessary. You know what? You're covered. I -- I should just -- just take care of yourself.
Elizabeth: My grandmother is on an around-the-world cruise, and since Lucky and I moved in together, she went ahead and leased her house.
Jax: So what are you going to do?
Elizabeth: You know what? I think Emily and Nikolas will let Cam and I stay at Wyndermere until we figure things out.
Jax: Why don't I just put you up at the hotel?
Elizabeth: Oh -- no, thank you. It's really nice, but hotels are no place for babies. Soon as Cameron starts to cry, it's over.
Jax: Well, at least won't you stay at our place, at least for tonight?
Elizabeth: Oh, you guys, I can't do that. I'm going to call Emily.
Courtney: You know, Elizabeth, maybe Emily and Nikolas have enough on their plate right now, and we're so close by. Really, we'd love to have you.
Jax: Yeah, and tomorrow you can figure out what you can salvage and make some decisions.
Elizabeth: Ok. Thank you. Thank you both. You won't even know we're there.
Lucky: I want to get the place cleaned up so she can bring Cameron back. There's nothing to come back to.
Maxie: Hey, dad.
Mac: "Hey, dad"?
Jesse: Commissioner Scorpio --
Maxie: No, no, no. No. You don't have to apologize. Look, dad, not to be disrespectful, but I'm almost 19 and I can do whatever I want whenever I want with whomever I want, and you can't stop me.
Mac: Fine. Fine, from now on, you're on your own.
Reese: You heard what the doctor said. Jason's going to be fine.
Sonny: Jason's lying in there because of something that I should have done. I've been so wrapped up in you and me which is, you know, we've been having fun and everything, but I didn't know that my son was being pulled into a very dangerous place.
Reese: Don't blame yourself.
Sonny: I have to make sure this never happens again. I'm Michaelís father. That's first priority. Nothing's more important than the safety of my children.
Monica: Is there -- is there forgiveness for all the pain, for all the destruction, for all the hurt? The person that he hurt the most was himself. And the life that he damaged was just his own. Oh, his actions were just despicable, but -- but in his own deluded mind, he really thought he was doing the right thing. For all the suffering, please, please forgive him.
Sonny: "Forgive him, father, for he has sinned"? Who do you want forgiveness for, Monica, and for what?
Alan: I know you don't want to believe this, but Jason was wrong. Everything that he said about A.J. -- that was the drug talking. A.J. would have never hurt Jason intentionally.
Sam: I don't know, Dr. Quartermaine.
Alan: No, I know. A.J. loved Jason. It was like A.J. was the baby brother. He worshipped Jason. I wish you would have known Jason back then. He was the best son that any father could wish for.
Sam: I'm really sorry you're going through this and I know this must be really hard for you, but --
Alan: You don't know. After the accident, A.J. was riddled with guilt. He had lost his best friend. He had turned a loving son into the robot that Jason is now.
Sam: No, no, no, Jason is every bit as loving as any man. A.J., on the other hand, was vicious and hateful.
Alan: You didn't know him.
Sam: I knew enough.
Dr. Thomas: This is what you wanted to talk to me about? You want me to kill your brother so he won't have to live the rest of his life as a vegetable?
Jason: Sam? He -- he tried. It was Dr. Thomas. He tried to kill me.
>> On the next "General Hospital" --
Mac: You wanted to be independent? Now you are.
Jesse: Have you thought about where you're going to live?
Elizabeth: For the record, I'm not interested in Jax.
Sonny: Are you hiding something, Monica?
Carly: Wait, what's wrong with him?
