Reese: Well, the good news is my computer search only turned up one Jodie Monroe.

Jason: What's the bad news?

Reese: She's a 35-year-old mother of two living outside of Detroit.

Jason: Well, she -- did she live in Port Charles?

Reese: Yeah, when she was Michaelís age. Actually, they went to the same school. She was the 1979 spelling bee champion. Her picture still hangs in the hallway there.

Jason: Michael passes it every day.

Reese: Yeah, he would have to. Now, you want to tell me what's going on, Jason?

Jason: Michael's created an imaginary friend to -- to help him deal with what happened the night of A.J.'s murder.

Reese: Jason, this is really serious. I think maybe you should come home.

Jason: No, I just -- I just got to figure out what to do next, ok? Can you do me a favor? Sam got picked up. Can you check on her because I'm really worried about her. Can you just make sure she's all right?

Reese: No problem.

Jason: Thanks.

Carly: Where is Sonny? He's not answering my calls.

Reese: I think he's at the warehouse.

Carly: Oh, really? So he didn't join Jason and Sam on the boat where they're keeping Michael?

Reese: Wait, how do you know about this?

Carly: Sonny and I went to say goodbye to Michael together.

Lorenzo: Since then, I've had my sources tracking them. Their boat's headed for the Caribbean.

Carly: You're going to tell us everything.

Reese: I'm not telling you anything.

Carly: Ok, Michael is my son. He's being hunted by the police for murdering A.J. You're not going to tell me anything? You're going to tell me everything.

Reese: Fine. How about this -- it's possible that Michael didn't kill A.J. after all.

Michael: Jodie? Jodie?

Jodie: I'm here. You don't have to yell.

Michael: Why did you run away when I asked you to talk to Jason?

Jodie: Because he won't believe me. Nobody will.

Michael: I'll believe you. Just tell me who really killed A.J.

Jesse: Which one of you is Jersey Joe?

Man: I only deal with Murphy.

Jesse: Well, I'm his representative.

Man: Damn, he got --

[Gun cocks]

Lucky: Going somewhere?

Jersey Joe: Back off, kid.

Jesse: Kid's packing. Drop the knife in the water now. Drop it now!

Jesse: Put our hands up. Turn around.

Maxie: Great.

Jesse: You're following me now?

Maxie: In your dreams. I was on my way to meet Georgie. I had no idea you were going to be here.

Jesse: Well, I am, so take a hike.

Jersey Joe: You crazy, man? She's hot.

Maxie: Uh -- will you stop acting like you don't care?

Jesse: You know the situation.

Maxie: I know that my dad warned you to stay away from me, and since he's the police commissioner, you figured it'd be better to suck up to the boss.

Man: Ha-ha. She's got your number, huh?

[Jersey Joe laughs]

Jesse: You shut up! Maxie, you need to get out of here. You could get hurt.

Jersey Joe: Good point.

Maxie: What, so -- so you just walk away to protect me? Are you really trying to tell me that there are no cops on the force that have girlfriends?

Jersey Joe: Back at you, dude.

Maxie: Shut up!

Jesse: Would you shut up?

Maxie: I'm not completely helpless, Jesse. I can take care of myself.

Jesse: Your dad doesn't want us together, ok? He's got Lucky watching me to make sure I don't get anywhere near you.

Maxie: That's it. That's -- I'm not going to take this anymore.

Jesse: Just forget it!

Maxie: No. No.

Jesse: Maxie --

Maxie: I'm going to handle it.

Jesse: Maxie! Don't even say a word. Get up. Go.

Carly: What do you mean, it's possible Michael didn't kill A.J.?

Reese: Michael's starting to believe it was someone else.

Carly: Um -- I don't understand.

Lorenzo: Let's hear this out.

Reese: When Michael remembered what he did, I put two and two together, and I thought he committed the murder.

Carly: Ok, and two and two, what, makes five?

Reese: Michael had a bad dream, a dream that he smothered A.J., ok? He told me about it, and then he started to feel like maybe it was actually a memory. He was emotional; he was traumatized. Maybe he was just trying to make sense out of a bad dream or read into something that I said or --

Carly: I don't -- I don't believe this. You came up with the ridiculous conclusion -- that Michael killed A.J. -- that might be wrecking his life?

Reese: Now, Carly, we don't know what happened. Maybe he did do it, maybe he didnít.

Carly: Oh, that's -- that's great. Where the hell is this boat, anyway?

Reese: I don't know, I don't know.

Lorenzo: I will find its exact location.

Carly: Ok. I just need to get a plane and get there.

Reese: All right, no, Carly, you are not going to that boat. You are going to leave Michael alone.

Carly: Ok, don't you dare tell me how to treat my son.

Reese: If you go there right now and you try to bring Michael back, he will be arrested. Or worse -- he could permanently lose the memory to what really happened the night A.J. died. Is that what you want, Carly?

Carly: My son's in pain. I want to help him.

Lorenzo: Maybe we can. Maybe there's something we can do right here.

Carly: Lorenzo, look, I love you --

Lorenzo: The best way to help Michael right now is to find A.J.'s killer.

Alan: Durant, I just heard they put an A.P.B. out for my grandson. Why are they looking for him?

John: Because Jason and Sam McCall kidnapped him. Now, I have an unconfirmed report that Sam was picked up in South Carolina, but Jason and Michael are still on the run.

Alan: Why are they running? What's going on?

Dr. Thomas: Well, we have reason to believe that Michael killed A.J.

Michael: Don't run. Jason is our friend, and he's on our side. He'll help us. You can say it in front of Jason, right?

Jason: Sure.

Michael: Tell us who killed A.J.

Jodie: I can't tell him.

Michael: You can tell him. He always sticks up for me, and he's never let me down in my entire life. He'll believe you.  I promise. Right, Jason?

Jason: Right.

Michael: So go ahead.

Jodie: No.

Michael: He'll do anything to help me, Jodie. You can trust him. Talk to her. Tell her you're on her side. Make sure she understands.

Georgie: Hey, Maxie. Want to go to the concert on the beach with us?

Maxie: Um -- what time does it start?

Georgie: It starts in an hour.

Dillon: And we're going to try to hang out there all day if we can, enjoy the summer a little bit before we have to get our heads into college.

Georgie: Or senior year.

Dillon: Or senior year.

Georgie: Right.

Maxie: No, that's ok. I think I'll pass.

Georgie: Are you ok?

Maxie: Did you tell mom and Mac that you were hanging out with Dillon today?

Georgie: No.

[Dillon snickers]

Maxie: Why not?

Georgie: It's not worth it. I tell mom and Mac that I'm hanging out with Dillon, and then Mac interrogates me like I'm some prisoner. It turns into this whole big drama, and I am completely exhausted by the time I leave.

Dillon: Good to know I'm trusted.

Georgie: No, no, Dillon, it has nothing to do with you.

Dillon: Mm-hmm.

Georgie: It's just, you know, the dad reflex -- Dillon equals trouble. It's why I keep my mouth shut.

Maxie: But it's supposed to be ok for you to see Dillon now.

Georgie: It took me nearly dying from a brain hemorrhage for Mac to let me see Dillon. But if he sees us holding hands and, God forbid, kissing, he goes postal.

Maxie: So you guys just -- you avoid the whole subject and sneak around behind his back?

Georgie: Yeah, basically.

Maxie: So, basically, Macís treating you both like a couple of fugitives, just like he's doing with Jesse and me? You know, somebody has to do something about this.

Dillon: Don't ask. Don't ask. Don't ask. Don't ask. Don't ask.

Georgie: How?

Dillon: She asked.

Maxie: Well, the way families handle things when someone's behavior is completely out of control and needs to be stopped. Georgie?

Georgie: Dillon?

Dillon: Uh-huh.

Michael: It's ok. Jason isn't like the other grownups who say stuff they think you want to hear. If he says you'll be safe with him, he means it. Tell her.

Jason: Um -- ahem.  I'll do anything to help Michael.

Michael: See, Jodie? There's nothing to be scared of. Right, Jason?

Jason: Right. Like Michael said, I'll protect you, no matter what.

Michael: He's right.

Jason: Jodie, who really killed A.J. Quartermaine? The police think Michael did it. They want to arrest him. A true friend would -- would tell what they saw so Michael could stop running and -- and go home to his family where he wants to be.

Michael: I don't get it. Why won't you tell?

Jason: Maybe Jodie doesn't -- doesn't want to say it in front of me. Uh, I'll just -- I'll leave you two alone so she can -- she can tell you.

Michael: I'll be right back. Stay here, ok?

Jodie: Ok.

Michael: You believe me about Jodie, right?

Jason: I -- I believe you, Michael.

Michael: Jodie told me she knew who killed A.J. I swear she did. She says that's the reason why she hid out on the boat -- just so she could tell me. I don't know why she's not saying anything now.

Jason: Uh -- you know, it's pretty scary to tell the truth about something that big.

Michael: Yeah, it is.

Jason: If Jodie has known all this time, why do you think she hasn't -- hasn't said anything to you before?

Michael: I asked her that. She said it was because she was afraid I might freak out.

Jason: Would you have?

Michael: Well, I was in pretty bad shape for a while, but I guess I just wasn't ready to hear it.

Jason: But you're -- you're feeling a little better now?

Michael: Yeah. It helps to have a friend -- not that you aren't my friend but, you know.

Jason: Yeah, I know -- a friend your own age.

Michael: Yeah.

Jason: Someone just like you?

Michael: Yeah. Well, I'll go talk to her because you probably got the idea that she's really quiet? But she says a lot of things when she's alone with me, so I'll go see if she can tell me who killed A.J.

Jason: It'll -- it'll make things a lot easier if we know what really happened.

Michael: I'll just be glad when the truth comes out. I want this whole thing to be over.

Jason: Me, too, buddy.

Michael: Jodie?

Mac: Congratulations on the bust. Between nailing Murphy and bringing in those dealers, we cut off a major drug supplier. You two make a good team.

Lucky: Yeah, what can I say? Jesse -- uh -- makes a good boss.

Mac: How soon to wrap up the paperwork?

Jesse: Lucky?

Lucky: I'll get right on it.

Maxie: We need to talk to you.

Mac: In a second, Maxie.

Maxie: No, we need to talk to you right now.

Mac: Maxie, we're in the police department. I'm the commissioner, I'm in charge. It's not appropriate for you to order me around like this.

Maxie: Yeah, dad, that's because you usually do all the ordering.

Mac: Because I'm your father.

Maxie: But that doesn't give you the right to control our lives. Georgie and I are tired of it, and it needs to end.

Mac: Well, that's too bad because I'm not going to stop --

Maxie: No, no, no, you don't get to talk. This is not a discussion. It's an intervention.

Alan: Monica?

Monica: Hmm?

Alan: I have something to tell you. I -- I think you might want to sit down.

Monica: What is it?

Alan: I don't even know how to start; it's so incomprehensible. The police are looking for Michael. They have evidence that he killed A.J.  Did you hear what I said?

Monica: Yeah. Yes, I did. I did, and I have, uh, known about it all along.

Alan: You've known that Michael killed A.J.?

Monica: I went to A.J.'s room the night he was murdered, and I saw Michael with a pillow over A.J.'s face.

Alan: You saw him do it and you didn't tell me?

Monica: Well, Alan, you were a mess. You were drinking; you were acting irrationally.

Alan: That is no excuse, Monica. Michael and A.J. are part of this family. How dare you keep a secret like that from me.

Monica: Because I had no idea what you would do. And I decided right then that I -- I had to protect Michael.

Alan: What the hell do you want? You're the one who planted all that poison in Michaelís mind and turned him against us.

Carly: Ok, I don't have to listen to this.

Alan: You and Sonny are the reason that Michael murdered his father!

Lorenzo: Whatever hatred Michael had for A.J. was of A.J.'s own making.

Carly: And Michael might not have killed A.J. anyhow.

Monica: What do you mean?

Alan: You just told me you saw Michael kill A.J.

Monica: Well, an orderly was coming toward the room, and I rushed out to keep him from going into A.J.'s room, so he might have been alive, or something might have happened after I left.

Alan: Are you telling me now he didn't do it?

Monica: Well, I don't know.

Alan: Well, that leaves one question -- what are you two doing here?

Monica: Well, my guess is they think one of us killed A.J.

 [Phone rings]

Jason: Dr. Thomas, Jason Morgan.

Dr. Thomas: A lot of people are looking for you -- and Sam and Michael.

Jason: Yeah, look, look, we have a situation here that I have no idea how to handle. It's about Michael.

Dr. Thomas: Go on.

Jason: It's gotten worse.

Dr. Thomas: What happened?

Jason: He's -- he's created this imaginary friend, ok, and he claims his friend knows who killed A.J.

Dr. Thomas: You're right, this is serious.

Jason: Look, I just -- I need to know how to help him, ok? How -- how do I deal with this?

Dr. Thomas: How did you find out about the friend? Did Michael tell you about him?

Jason: It's a girl. Michael introduced us.  He -- he tried to get her to talk to us, but he -- he was talking to the wall.

Dr. Thomas: Is Michael frightened or upset?

Jason: No, no, but he claims his friend is.

Dr. Thomas: In other words, he is. Yeah, Michaelís projecting feelings he can't cope with onto this imaginary friend.

Jason: Ok, so what do I do? Do I just pretend and go along with it, or should I just tell him the truth?

Dr. Thomas: Do not confront him. That needs to be done in a controlled setting.

Jason: So you're saying that I should play along?

Dr. Thomas: Let him know that you believe him, that you see this girl, and then get him back to Port Charles immediately. Don't press him on anything. Push too hard, and he could be severely traumatized.

Jason: Yeah, but I've -- I've always been honest with him, ok? I have to tell him --

Dr. Thomas: Jason, it's crucial that you don't confront him about this imaginary friend. Jason, did you hear me?

Jason: I'll do what I can.

Dr. Thomas: Satisfied?

John: I will be -- once Michael is safely back in Port Charles.

Michael: What do you have to tell me? For people with diabetes

Lucky: An intervention?

Dillon: Don't ask me. She's on a mission.

Jesse: Well, it looks like it's about to crash and burn.

Lucky: Well, I'll get right on that paperwork, sir.

Jesse: You don't have to call me "sir." I was just messing with you.

Lucky: Ok, boss.

[Dillon laughs]

Maxie: We love you, Mac, and this is not a personal attack. We just want you to see how your behavior affects other people, so you could try and handle things differently.

Mac: Maxie, this is absurd.

Maxie: Don't get defensive.

Mac: I'm your father. I make the rules in the house.

Georgie: No, Mac. You're not allowed to talk.

Mac: Well, I'm going to talk because --

Georgie: No, Mac, you can talk when we say you can talk. The idea is to listen.

Mac: I'm not going to put up with this. I have a lot --

Maxie: I am nearly 19, of legal age, and when you scrutinize my decisions and try and control my life, it makes me feel like you don't trust me.

Mac: I do trust you.

Georgie: Mac!

Mac: What -- hold on. You didn't let me finish. I don't always trust your judgment.

Maxie: Well, that's something to work on.

Mac: Yeah. This has to do with him, isn't it?

Maxie: No! No! That is not the point!

Mac: That's exactly the point. You want to date Beaudry, and I'm telling you, that guy is off-limits, Maxie.

Georgie: Mac, you are violating every rule of this intervention.

Mac: Well, good. I want to violate them.

Maxie: You know, other people are affected by your fanatical need to control.

Mac: Now I'm "fanatical," right? And I suppose you agree? Oh, wait, am I allowed to ask that?

Georgie: Yes, I -- I think, yes, yes, I do agree with Maxie.

Maxie: You know, you're doing this to Lucky, too. I could ask him to come in here and see how he felt when you ordered him to keep tabs on Jesse -- his superior, I might add -- just to make sure that he stayed away from me.

Mac: Look, I didn't exactly order Lucky --

Maxie: It's not Lucky's job to be my babysitter, or anyone else's, for that matter.

Georgie: We're not little girls anymore.

Maxie: Exactly. So you need to stop treating us like children and telling us who we can and cannot see.

Mac: And if I don't?

Maxie: We're going to move out. Right, Georgie?

Georgie: Right. We're going to move out.

Maxie: It's time for you to let us grow up and make our own decisions. I'm sure if you think about it, you will agree. And if you don't, then you lose our love.

Georgie: Our love -- both our love.

Maxie: We'll cut you off.

[Door closes]

Alan: That's idiotic. How could you possibly think I killed my own son?

Carly: You both had plenty of motive.

Monica: An outsider could easily see it that way.

Alan: What the hell is the matter with you? What possible motive could we have for murdering our own son?

Monica: He betrayed us. He used us. He stole millions from us. And have you forgotten he shot you in the back?

Carly: Is that an admission of guilt?

Monica: I'm an ideal suspect, and so is Alan. And so are you, Carly.

Carly: Michael spent months thinking he killed A.J. I would never let him suffer like that if I had been the one who did it.

Monica: None of us would have. We all love Michael. We would never have let him take the blame for something he didn't do.

Carly: I don't know. Alan has done some pretty twisted things lately.

Monica: Even Alan would not have let him go through that kind of hell.

Alan: "Even Alan"?

Monica: Carly, nobody in this family killed A.J. You know that in your heart.

Carly: All right. So where does that leave us?

Monica: Well, if Michael didn't kill A.J. -- and I pray that he didn't -- then whoever did was willing to let a 9-year-old take the blame for it.

Carly: Someone could hate Michael that much?

Lorenzo: You know, maybe it's someone who hates his family.

Monica: And doesn't care who suffers.

Carly: Ok, so are you saying that someone would make Michael look guilty so he --

Lorenzo: Or she.

Carly: Could take me and Sonny down?

Monica: It always comes back to this, doesn't it? Somebody with a grudge against Sonny.

Alan: Long list.

Carly: We just have to figure out who's at the top of that list.

John: Since when are lawyers in the private sector allowed to look through hospital files?

Reese: So quit threatening and stop me.

John: Oh, you'll hear about the test results sooner or later.

Reese: Michael's D.N.A. is on the pillow that was used to smother A.J. Quartermaine.

John: Well, that's hardly news.

Reese: That's hardly proof that Michael actually committed the murder.

John: Well, it's close enough for me.

Reese: Enlighten me, Durant. Why are you so determined to convict your own grandson?

John: Actually, I'm trying to save him.

Reese: From what?

John: From a violent, criminal father.

Reese: You know perfectly well that Sonny is a wonderful father to Michael.

John: Here we go again with the St. Sonny speech. Blah, blah, blah.

Reese: You are just using Michael to get at Sonny.

John: Sam has been arrested. She'll be extradited immediately. Reese, this is all going down right now, and if you care about Michael, you'll get ahold of Sonny, you'll tell him to do the right thing.

Reese: And what's that, Durant?

John: Order Jason to bring Michael home now.

Michael: I heard you say that you have something to tell me. What is it?

Jason: Actually, I was talking about someone else.

Michael: Jodie. Where'd you go?

Jodie: I was hiding.

Michael: Because you were scared?

Jodie: Uh-huh.

Michael: I keep telling you that it's ok. But why won't you tell Jason who really killed A.J.?

Jodie: He won't believe me.

Michael: Tell her.

Jason: I -- I don't know what to say.

Jodie: See? I'm your friend, Michael. I know you didn't kill A.J. but he thinks you did. You can't trust him, Michael.

Michael: Yes, I can. Tell her -- tell her she's wrong.

Jason: Michael, I --

Michael: Just look at her and tell her.

Jason: Jodie, I --

Michael: She's over there. Oh, God. You don't see her. You don't see her, do you?

Reese: Ahem. Remembering?

Rachel: What are you talking about?

Reese: You're the forgotten person in A.J.'s murder, Dr. Adair.

Rachel: Look, I told the police everything I knew right after A.J. was killed.

Reese: And you convinced them you were innocent.

Rachel: And I am.

Reese: Hmm. So let me just refresh my memory here for a second, ok? You and A.J. were lovers. He charmed you. He played upon your emotions and got you involved in his little plan to get back at all the people that hurt him in his life.

Rachel: It's all on the record.

Reese: Right. And of course there's the most important part of the plan -- taking his son back from Sonny and Carly, the two people that he hated most in the whole world.

Rachel: Look, I had no idea how far A.J. was going to go to get what he wanted.

Reese: You also had no idea that you were going to be dumped like yesterday's garbage. Hmm. And after all you did for him -- almost going to prison? Ouch. That had to hurt, huh, doctor?

Rachel: I don't know what you're talking about.

Reese: Yeah, you do. It's called a motive. You killed A.J. Quartermaine, didn't you?

Carly: I can't stand this another minute. Michael's on that boat going through God knows what, and I can't do anything to help him.

Lorenzo: Well, he has Jason and Sam.

Carly: Sam's useless. She makes this big deal about having this incredible rapport with Michael. It's a joke, and Jason totally buys into it.

Lorenzo: Well, Michael seems to like her.

Carly: I suppose so.

Lorenzo: And you trust Jason.

Carly: Jason will do anything to protect Michael and take care of him, and Michael feels safe with him. I just keep thinking about the night that Jason had to take Michael away, and you went to Sonny's to tell Michael that I missed him and wished that he'd come see me.

Lorenzo: And he did.

Carly: It was the best time I'd had with him in months. He admitted he missed me, too. And I -- I talked to him about taking a chance on all of us and coming to stay with us, and he said he'd like that. And now -- now he's gone.

Lorenzo: Carly, it will happen. This will all be resolved. Michael will come live with us. We'll finally be a family.

Carly: I just feel so desperate about wanting to do something to help him.

Lorenzo: The fastest way to bring Michael home safely is to figure out who killed A.J.

Carly: Yeah, but, you know what -- it wasn't Monica. She's right. I hate to admit it, but the Quartermaines are basically off the hook.

Lorenzo: Carly, the question is, who would let Michael take the blame for this? Who had something to gain from it?

Carly: Yeah. So I should just cool off and think logically?

Lorenzo: Well, I'm not expecting a miracle.

Carly: I know. I get into states, don't I? It must be so irritating.

Lorenzo: No, it's not.

Carly: No, but you have a good point. I -- I can't be with Michael, so I should just start thinking rationally.

Lorenzo: We're going to figure this out together, all right?

Carly: Mm-hmm.

Lorenzo: Just --

Carly: Just don't do anything crazy.

Lorenzo: Exactly.

Carly: Ok. All right. Well, you know what? I'm going to go home. I just have so many things I have to take care of.

Lorenzo: Carly, wait, wait, wait, wait. What do you mean, "so many things"?

Carly: Oh -- ok. Ok, I lied -- crazy things.

Lorenzo: I need specifics.

Carly: But it was a surprise.

Lorenzo: Right, right, that's what worries me.

Carly: A surprise for you.

Lorenzo: Crazy surprise?

Carly: Mm-hmm.

Lorenzo: Mm-hmm?

Carly: Mm-hmm. Hot oil, sexy lingerie -- Good things come to those who wait.

Michael: You don't believe me?

Jason: Michael, I'm sorry. I want to see your friend.

Michael: She's right there. She's right in front of you. Why don't you see her?

Jason: Michael, I'm trying, ok? I don't know what to tell you!

Michael: You think I'm making her up?

Jason: No. No, you're right, you're right, I do see her.

Michael: Then come shake her hand.

Jason: All right.

Michael: You're nowhere near Jodie. You don't see her, and you never did!

Jason: As long as you see her, that's all that matters, Michael.

Michael: You're lying! You never lie to me, but you're doing it now. And I know why -- because you think I'm crazy.

Jason: Michael, you're not crazy. You're not.

Michael: I am crazy!

Maxie: I'm sorry. I really screwed up. I shouldn't have put you on the spot like that.

Mac: You wanted to get through to me.

Maxie: It's just -- I feel like it's important for me to make my own decisions, and I've been trying to tell you. I just -- I don't think I've been heard.

Mac: I heard you this time.

Maxie: Yeah, but the way we did it wasn't very bright.

Mac: You tried. You made your point.

Maxie: Did we?

Mac: I love you. I just want to protect you.

Maxie: I know, but you have to let me, like, spread my wings.

Mac: Yeah, right. Giving you the freedom to make your own choices is all part of growing up, right? Well, pretty soon you'll be out in the world, living away from home, meeting all sorts of new people -- ones who will care for you and ones who will try to hurt you. You'll make mistakes but, you know, sometimes taking the wrong path will lead you to the right one.

Maxie: Those are some pretty good words of wisdom.

Mac: Hmm. Don't be too impressed. I know all that in my head. But in my heart, all I see when I look at you is a little girl with ribbons in her hair, laughing while she chases butterflies in the garden. The girl lying in a hospital bed, courageous, beautiful as an angel, waiting for a heart transplant. My little pumpkin begging me to take her out for an ice cream sundae. Maxie, I've got thousands and thousands and thousands of memories like that, each one as precious as the next. And here you are, a lovely young lady, kicking daddy's butt, ready to take on the world. And all I want to do is just hold on tight and keep you safe forever. Look, I hear what you're saying, ok? I hear. But be patient with me. I'll try my best to do what you ask.

Maxie: Dad, I can't always be your little girl, but I'm always going to be your daughter.

Mac: You will always -- you'll always be my little girl. I love you, Maxie.

Maxie: I love you, too.

Jason: You'll get through this, buddy, I promise. I'm right here with you. I'm going to protect you, and I'm going to keep you safe. You know, any time you get scared or confused, you just tell me. We're going to figure this out together, ok? So you don't have to worry. Everything's going to be ok. Just try to get some sleep.

Rachel: I am not even going to dignify that with a response.

Reese: An interesting response in and of itself.

Rachel: Look, A.J. had a lot of enemies. You could go around this town and find a dozen people who had motive to kill him.

Reese: And yours is the oldest in the book -- a woman scorned.

Rachel: Look, A.J. was hardly the love of my life.

Reese: You also had an opportunity, Rachel. You're a doctor. You're here all the time. You can move around the hospital without suspicion.

Rachel: My job is to heal people, not to kill people.

Reese: You know, and that's where I get stuck. You're a pediatrician dedicated to the welfare of children. So, I don't know -- you're right. I'm having a hard time believing that you could kill a man and let an innocent child take the blame.

Rachel: Well, then why don't you stop accusing me?

Reese: You're covering something.

Rachel: Not that -- not that I'm a killer.

Reese: But something?

Rachel: Yes.

Reese: What, Rachel?

Rachel: I know who actually killed A.J.

John: All right, thank you.

Carly: John? How could you do this to your own grandson?

John: What, bring him back to Port Charles?

Carly: I know how badly you want to take down Sonny and Jason. I knew you were willing to do anything -- lie, cheat, plant evidence, do whatever it took to put them in prison. But I never thought you would do something this evil!

John: Wait, wait -- Carly, wait. What in God's name are you talking about?

Carly: You killed A.J. and let Michael the blame!

John: Ow!

Dr. Thomas: Dr. Thomas.

Jason: It's Jason Morgan.

Dr. Thomas: How's Michael?

Jason: Well, he figured out that I couldn't see his imaginary friend. Look -- Dr. Thomas, I tried to pretend, but he saw right through me.

Dr. Thomas: How did he react?

Jason: He got hysterical. He said that I'd never lied to him before, but I was lying now because I thought he was crazy.

Dr. Thomas: Oh, this is bad.

Jason: Yeah, I know that.

Dr. Thomas: Um -- well, where is he now?

Jason: He fell asleep. He was exhausted.

Dr. Thomas: You've got to get him back here immediately and into treatment. This is -- this is more important than any charges pending against him.

Jason: I'm just scared that he's not going to survive this.

Dr. Thomas: What was that, Jason? You're breaking up. Jason? He's never going to survive this.

Dr. Thomas: Jason, get him home. Get him back here.

[Jason turns off phone]

[Dial tone]

Dr. Thomas: He's never going to survive this. I'll kill him, just as we agreed.

>> On the next "General Hospital" --

John: I did not kill A.J., and if I had, I'd never pin it on Michael.

Carly: You'd do it to Sonny.

Sonny: An imaginary friend?

Jason: Michael introduced me to her. I knew something was wrong. We got to get him home.

Michael: What are you doing?

Rachel: I saw someone leave A.J.'s room that shouldn't have been there.
