Lucky: I'll tell you what you can do with your money --

Elizabeth: Hey.

Lucky: I am a cop.

Jax: I was told that a desk job would be safer.

Elizabeth: I know you're doing this for me --

Lucky: I like working the street! You can be a desk jockey because I have about as much interest in pushing papers as you do wearing a Kevlar vest.

Jax: You don't know the first thing about what I do.

Lucky: No, I know that you try to buy people.

Elizabeth: I don't think Jax meant for any of this --

Lucky: What Jax meant is that one cop isn't any different from another when you're a billionaire.

Jax: It wasn't meant to be an insult, Lucky.

Lucky: Well, I'm glad to hear that because I'm not about to bury my career to satisfy a control freak.

Courtney: You know, Jax has the biggest heart in the world. He does. I mean, he has gone out of his way to make me feel like I'm a part of this pregnancy. It's just the harder he tries --

Nikolas: The more left out you feel?

Courtney: I mean, come on. It's not Jaxís fault that I can't carry a child of my own.

Nikolas: No? Well, that's the hardest part, isn't it? When you're right in the middle of a crisis, and you realize there's no one to blame? Then what in the hell do we do?

Courtney: Well, me -- I just go straight to denial. Yeah. Pretty much bought myself a year of not having to deal.

Nikolas: Hmm.

Courtney: Yeah. Yeah, I just -- I found out I couldn't have children, so I threw myself into my foundation. You know, the kids that needed me. Then out of nowhere comes this gorgeous, generous man who begins wooing me, and so I threw myself into that. And then there was the trial and my family and --

Nikolas: Right.

Courtney: The wedding and --

Nikolas: And you woke up one day and realized your real life's staring you right in the face.

Courtney: Yeah. Can't run and I can't hide.

Nikolas: Nope.

Courtney: God. Elizabeth Webber is having my husband's baby, and I don't know where I fit. So I walk on eggshells, and I try and be understanding, you know? I --

Nikolas: Yeah, no, no, I understand. And you try to be sensitive for the other person, have some compassion. I mean, I understand how Emily feels, why it's so difficult for her to be in the same room with me after what Connor did to her.

Courtney: Yeah, but she loves you.

Nikolas: She wants to. But every time she shuts down or jumps out of her seat when I walk into a room, it's just another reminder that I couldn't be there for her, and it hurts.

Courtney: It hurts like crazy.

Nikolas: Yeah.

Courtney: So how do we even begin to fight?

Nikolas: We donít. We canít.

Reese: Excuse me.

Sonny: Yeah?

Reese: Emily, I have a court order for you from John Durant, and it's not good.

Sonny: Durant will bully anyone and do anything he can. What is it this time?

Reese: It names Emily as the person of interest in the disappearance of Michael Corinthos III.

Michael: Jodie?  I brought them. It's ok. You can tell them. Go on. Tell Sam and Jason who really killed A.J.

Sam: Hi, Jodie. It's nice to finally meet you.

Michael: It's ok. She's my friend.

Jodie: Jason doesn't like me. I can tell. Make him go away.

Michael: Jason likes you. He just doesn't smile a lot. But he's my friend, just like you are.

Sonny: All this means is they don't have enough evidence to arrest Emily.

Reese: She can't leave town.

Emily: I hadn't planned to.

Reese: Well, then there's nothing to worry about. This is typical of Durant. If he can't come up with anything concrete, he resorts to intimidation.

Sonny: Durant probably thinks that he's going to put the screws to you. That way, Jason comes out of hiding. That leaves Michael -- do not -- do not let him do this to you.

Reese: He knows the game, Emily.

Emily: Well, that's great, but I really don't want to keep you if you have to go.

Sonny: Were we finished?

Emily: Yeah. I've already taken advantage of you.

Sonny: No, you're not taking advantage. You're Jasonís sister. That makes us family.

Emily: Listen, Durant must be out of his mind to charge Michael with murder. He's going to have a fight from half this town.

Reese: Oh, he already does. All right, are you ready to go? Because we could share a launch.

Sonny: Ok. I'm going to catch up with you later because I got some things I got to take care of. You let me know as soon as -- if anything else comes up, will you?

Reese: Right. Ok.

Sonny: Thank you. All right. I tell you what. Go upstairs, pack your stuff. I'll take you home.

Emily: I am home. What --

Sonny: No, no, no, no, no, the Quartermaines'. That's -- that's where you're going to be safe.

Courtney: You know, this isn't the first time I've felt like an outsider in my own marriage. Jason's life was as much about Sonny as it was me.

Nikolas: I know how you feel there. Now Emilyís suddenly up in Sonny's business, keeping secrets for him and -- and keeping them for Jason, too. On top of that, Sonny has now made himself Emilyís protector.

Courtney: Which would be your job, right?

Nikolas: Yeah, you would think. I'm her husband. But it seems that all the rules have changed now.

Courtney: Yeah.

Nikolas: Yeah.

Courtney: I'm sorry, Nikolas.

Nikolas: Yeah. It's all right. Anyway, you need to remind yourself what it was about Jax that made you fall in love with him.

Courtney: Well, aside from the embarrassingly shallow physical attraction, his -- his openness.

Nikolas: Ok.

Courtney: No, really. I mean, he -- Jax has the ability to be completely honest about what he feels and what he wants. Well, that is, until what he wants is something you can't give him.

Nikolas: My God. He does not blame you for not being able to have a child, Courtney.

Courtney: No, I know! No, no, I know. It's just -- I mean, he's just so blatantly ecstatic about this baby. It's just tearing me up, you know? I mean, every day it feels like this baby is less mine and his and more his and Elizabethís.

Nikolas: Well, when you talk to him about it, what does he say? Oh, really? So -- so you expect your husband to be open and honest but -- but you won't give that back to him, is that it, huh? Huh? Is that it?

Courtney: Yeah. How screwed up is that?

Nikolas: Well, it's pretty screwed up, if you ask me.

Courtney: Ok, well, look, every time I get ready to tell him how I feel, I just -- I replay it over and over in my head, and I just realize how incredibly selfish and petty and jealous it sounds. Trust me, it's not attractive, Nikolas.

Nikolas: Courtney, you've told me all about how you feel, and I don't feel any less about you.

Courtney: Yeah, but I don't -- I don't have anything to lose by being honest with you, Nikolas, I donít. The way that I'm feeling right now is not the way a loving wife is supposed to feel.

Nikolas: My God, you're not evil. A little insecure, maybe -- a lot.

Courtney: Hmm.

Nikolas: You are. I mean -- and Jax can't turn that around for you if you don't talk to him.

Courtney: How am I supposed to tell him that every time I'm around Elizabeth, I feel like --?

Nikolas: You just tell him.

Courtney: You know, the other morning, I had this image of us going to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time, and I was fighting to listen in, and nobody even noticed that I was there, you know? I mean, how am I going to feel when she starts showing and Jax wants to touch her belly or listen to the baby or -- or try and feel it kick? I mean, everybody's going to be bonding, and I'm going to be still stressing out about the nursery theme. You know what? My sum total contribution to this whole little miracle is going to be the color of the drapes.

Nikolas: Unbelievable.

Courtney: Oh, I'm sorry. Oh, God -- ok, right, I'm -- I'm a complainer. I'm a typical woman, right? That's what you think?

Nikolas: Oh, no. I was actually thinking that you're a pretty terrific woman.

Jax: I'm sure you don't want to hear this, but Elizabeth fainted.

Elizabeth: Jax!

Lucky: What?

Jax: Well, you did.

Elizabeth: I'm ok.

Lucky: Why didn't you tell me?

Jax: When she found out that you were shot at, she went out like a light.

Lucky: Listen, why don't you sit down --?

Elizabeth: No, honey, listen, I am fine, ok? I get lightheaded in my first trimester. It happened with Cameron, too.

Jax: The added stress -- it can't be good for Elizabeth or the baby.

Lucky: The stress of my job?

Jax: Putting yourself in the line of fire, Lucky --

Lucky: You know what, Jax? Why don't you back off?

Elizabeth: You know what? I am in love with a cop. I plan to marry a cop. I'd already be married to Lucky if he wasn't accommodating you and your paternal rights.

Jax: And believe me, for that, I am truly grateful.

Elizabeth: You know what? One day Lucky and I are going to have a child of our own, and I'm going to tell our son or daughter that their father is a hero and that they should aspire to be like him. Now that being said, I have no intention on using this baby to guilt Lucky into a career detour. So you better get your anxiety under control.

Jax: Oh.

Elizabeth: Now, if we're finished here, I would like my future husband to take me to get a breath of fresh air and a bite to eat. Come on.

Jodie: Jason is staring at me.

Michael: You can trust him, I promise. Isn't that right, Jason? Everything's going to be fine?

Jason: That -- yeah, that's -- that's right.

Michael: I think Jodieís scared of you because you might make her go home.

Sam: You know what, Michael? Your friend doesn't have to talk to us right this minute. She can wait until she feels a little bit more comfortable, ok?

Michael: Thanks.

Sam: You're welcome. Jason and I -- we're going to go up on deck, so why don't you and your friend meet us up there as soon as you're ready?

Michael: Yeah.

Sam: Yeah?

Michael: Yeah.

Sam: Ok, cool.  Are you ok?

Jason: How could I not see how bad it was?

Nikolas: Do you mind if I give you a guy's perspective on this?

Courtney: Sure, go right ahead.

Nikolas: Ok, just -- you know, just lay it all out there. Tell Jax exactly how you feel.

Courtney: But how do I feel?

Nikolas: I don't --

Courtney: I mean -- threatened? Jealous? Incredibly sorry for myself? I mean, I have to say it in a way that doesn't undercut Jaxís joy, you know? He deserves to be happy.

Nikolas: So do you.

Courtney: Yeah -- but I kind of set this up, didn't I?

Nikolas: Mm-hmm.

Courtney: Yeah. Be careful what you ask for, right? Oh, God. Look at us, Nikolas. I mean, we're young, we're healthy. I have everything I -- I could have ever wanted, and -- I don't know -- when is it enough?

Nikolas: Well, when we stop thinking that there's a happy ending somewhere, I guess. It's just all a process, what we're doing here, this life. It's just a lot of pain and sadness and hard work, you know, and interrupted, if we play our cards right, by just a few moments of joy and love.

Courtney: You've really thought about this.

Nikolas: Solitary confinement -- I had a lot of time on my hands.

Courtney: You know what -- you're right, though. You're right -- I can't expect Jax to automatically know what's going on in my head. I have to tell him.

Nikolas: Well, you go, girl.

Courtney: What -- hey --

Nikolas: Sorry.

Courtney: You -- you know, you should probably take your own advice.

Nikolas: No, I -- I have told her a million times, Courtney.

Courtney: Well, tell her a million and one, then, because, you know, the energy she spends tangled up with Sonny and Jason is better spent on your marriage.

Emily: Listen, I'm perfectly safe here in my own home, Sonny. Listen, I know you think I'm making excuses, but I swear to you Nikolas isn't violent or abusive to me on any level.

Sonny: I saw him earlier tonight. He was like a time bomb ready to --

Emily: He was venting and it was never directed at me.

Sonny: Well, what if -- what happens one night when he comes here and there's nobody here and then it's just you and him?

Emily: Listen, no matter what I say, it's going to sound like I'm protecting him, but I'm not. Nikolas is very good to me. There aren't a lot of guys who would work so hard to try to understand what I've been through. I just wish that I could do the same for him. Listen, Nikolas wants his wife back -- the woman I was before I was raped -- and I'm not her anymore.

Sonny: Then he should accept who you are now.

Emily: He's trying.

Sonny: And you should, too, because the more you smile and act like nothing's happening, you're both going to go down in flames.

Sam: Jason, the first time Michael mentioned his friend Jodie was around the time he started seeing Dr. Thomas.

Jason: Yeah, well, I guess the brilliant doctor missed the fact that this kid's been hallucinating for weeks.

Sam: Look, so did we, but you know what? It's not a terrible thing. Children make up imaginary friends all the time.

Jason: Not like this. Not like this, Sam.

Sam: "Not like this"? Michael is not like every kid, Jason. He has dealt with one trauma on top of another.

Jason: Yeah, and that's exactly why we put him in therapy.

Sam: Right around the time that everyone told him not to talk about anything, don't trust anybody, don't talk about A.J., Michael created Jodie so --

Jason: Wait, Sam --

Sam: He could have someone to talk to.

Jason: You're making her sound like she's real.

Sam: Jason, I've read about this, ok? Traumatized people create alter egos, alter somethings to absorb the hits that they can't take. It happens in child abuse all the time. Trust me, ok? They separate them from themselves.

Jason: Michael is not schizophrenic.

Sam: No, he's not. He is not. He doesn't think that he's Jodie. He's not turning into her. But he created her to have someone to talk to. I mean, besides Morgan and Kristina, he's an isolated kid, Jason.

Jason: He said that Jodie was going to tell us who really killed A.J.

Sam: Maybe that's the reason she exists.

Jason: So Michael can tell us?

Sam: The only way he knows how.

Courtney: Hey.

Jax: Hey, I'm glad you're home.

Courtney: What's wrong?

Jax: I need a reality check.

Courtney: Oh. Are you sure I'm the person to ask?

Jax: A few minutes after you left, Lucky called. He was shot at tonight.

Courtney: Is he all right?

Jax: Yeah, yeah, he's fine, not a scratch, but when Elizabeth found out, she fainted.

Courtney: Are you serious? Well --

Jax: Yeah, she says she's ok, but, you know, I just -- I don't see how.

Courtney: Well, Jax, I think that you need to trust her. Elizabeth takes incredible care of herself.

Jax: The stress -- it can't be good for a pregnant woman. I mean, could you imagine your husband goes to work every day and you not knowing if he's going to make it home that night?

Courtney: Yeah, it isn't easy.

Jax: Yeah, I mean, you know, this is just the stress a pregnant woman doesn't need and it could be bad for the baby. Of course, when I -- when I tried to point it out to Lucky, he almost bites my head off.

Courtney: Well, Jax, what did you say to him?

Jax: I offered to supplement his income if he would take a desk job until, you know, Elizabethís had the baby.

Courtney: That -- that was generous.

Jax: Of course he turned it down flat even after he found out that Elizabeth fainted. I mean, how can he not be concerned for her?

Courtney: Oh, Jax, of course he's concerned. Come on, we're all concerned.

Jax: Yeah, he was actually offended at my offer. Now, I -- and I understand that Elizabeth is not carrying his baby, but shouldn't -- shouldn't he be a little bit more sensitive?

Courtney: Well, does Elizabeth have an opinion?

Jax: No, you know how loyal she is. I just don't see why -- why my offer was so terrible.

Courtney: Of course you donít.

Jax: What do you think?

Courtney: Well, I -- I think that there are a lot of opinions flying around right now and I just think that mine would be one too many.

Elizabeth: Lucky, did you see that? There was a shooting star, right out there. Oh.

Lucky: Make a wish.

Elizabeth: I don't have to.  I have everything I want.

Lucky: Have I mentioned lately how much I love having you in my corner?

Elizabeth: Well, it works both ways, you know.

Lucky: Really? Because it would be so easy to let Jax steamroll us.

Elizabeth: Hmm. I know you too well. You'd rather be selling pretzels from a cart than accept Jaxís offer. And besides, you'd be bored out of your mind sharpening pencils and doing paperwork all day.

Lucky: Yeah, ok.

[Elizabeth laughs]

Lucky: You do know me.

Elizabeth: Yeah.

Lucky: I've been really impressed by your restraint. I mean, a desk job, no guns, same pay. Not a lot of women would be so generous.

Elizabeth: You've done enough, agreeing to the surrogacy. You're a good man, Lucky.

Sonny: I will never, ever tell you what to do.

Emily: No, you've been so generous since Jasonís been gone. Really, you've been a very broad shoulder for me.

Sonny: I know what you've been through, and I've lived with it for more years than you can imagine.

Emily: Are you living, walking proof that I can survive, too?

Sonny: The question is how. I know what happens when somebody smashes your body and cripples your soul. And you're too small -- ahem -- and too weak and helpless to stop them. And then when the physical scars heal, people always say to you, "Ah, come on, get over it now," you know? But you canít.

Emily: You know, before Connor did what he did to me, the defining moment of my life was my mother's death from breast cancer. You know, she was all I had. And that loss colored everything that came after. You know, even my own cancer was easier than losing my mom so young.

Sonny: So if somebody told you "Ah, it's done now, get over it," what would you have done?

Emily: No, you canít. I'll never forget her and I'll never be the same for having lost her.

Sonny: You know, Emily, what Connor did to you will always be with you and eventually, you'll get stronger. But you can't -- you can't forget.

Emily: Yeah. You change.

Sonny: How can you not?

Emily: You do know.

Sonny: Sometimes I wish I -- I'd know what kind of a man I'd be or what kind of life I would be living right now if I wasn't knocked around when I was a kid.

Emily: Maybe a little less angry, a little quicker to trust?

Sonny: Maybe.

Emily: Yeah, well, this is how our lives play out, you know? There's no going back to who we were before. I'm not who I was a year ago or even six months ago. You know, the woman Nikolas married is gone and I -- you know, whoever I am can't give him what he wants.

Sonny: Oh. I was just going.

Emily: Sonny, thank you so much.

Sonny: Hey. If you need anything --

Emily: Ok.

Sonny: Yeah.

Nikolas: So if you're not the woman I married, then who are you?

Reese: What's going on, Max? What's the emergency?

John: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Look who runs to the rescue.

Reese: Oh, man!

Max: He had a search warrant.

Reese: You have become even more bitter and angry and mean than you used to be, Durant. You know what you really need -- a date. I hear there's this website -- it'd be perfect for you.

John: Cute. While you're making your little jokes, I've got a forensics team up in Michaelís room.

Reese: Looking for what?

John: Well, I'll let you know when I see it.

Reese: You know what? This isn't even about killing A.J. anymore. This is about bringing Sonny down and you are so willing to use a vulnerable, scared little boy to do it.

John: Yeah, well, Michael would be a lot less scared if he were at home where he belongs. The pillow that killed A.J. Quartermaine still carries unidentified D.N.A. All I need is a single strand of Michaelís hair to prove that he handled the pillow that killed A.J.

Reese: Your own grandson.

John: Corrupted by this house. I'm not trying to ruin the kid's life. I'm trying to save him.

Michael: You have to get used to Jason. He's like my closest friend. But when I was a baby, my mom was sick, and Jason took care of me.

Jodie: Jason hates me. He wishes I'd go away.

Michael: Sam and Jason worry a lot, especially about me. They just want me to be happy.

Jodie: Grownups always say that.

Michael: Jason isn't like other grownups. He has this thing in his head. He can't remember when he was a kid, but if I tell them that I want you here, they'll let you stay.

Jodie: Once I tell them who really killed A.J., you won't want me around anymore.

Sam: Jodie could be Michaelís salvation.

Jason: So you're saying it's a good thing that Michaelís hallucinating this girl?

Sam: I'm saying that when he first got back from being kidnapped, his world was going to hell, Jason. He was curled up in a ball rocking in a corner. None of us could get inside of his head to help him.

Jason: Sam, I know, but we were patient, we loved him, we made him feel safe, and he started to come back to us.

Sam: Right, right, but somewhere -- somewhere Jodie was already being formed, Jason. It had to be for a reason. I know it sounds crazy, but it had to be --

Jason: This whole thing is crazy, Sam.

Sam: I know, I know, but maybe Jodie exists to tell us the things that Michael canít.

Jason: Yeah, but -- but Michael can talk to me about anything.

Sam: Sure, Jason, sure, before A.J. got his hands on him. He is so tired of being that man's victim. So what if -- listen. What if Michael is telling the truth and when he went into A.J.'s hospital room, he was there, ok? And what if in the point of when he was hiding and when Carly came in and found him dead, what if there was someone else in that room and really killed A.J.?

Jason: But wouldn't he have said something?

Sam: Jason, all he heard for weeks from the people who love and trusted him was that everything was going to be fine, "Don't worry about anything, put it out of your head." I mean --

Jason: Ok, so you -- you think he's still suppressing what happened?

Sam: Yes. Jason, that's exactly what I'm thinking. Maybe Michael created this Jodie because the situation was so traumatic he needed her to tell us. A speed bump.

Nikolas: You know, instead of from each other, there was a time once in our lives when we kept secrets for each other. When you had cancer, I was the only one you told. And I -- I cherished that, that trust that you had in me that I would never violate that confidence. You -- I mean, it -- it brought us closer. You remember? You -- you and me against the world? I -- I just -- I don't understand what went wrong. I don't understand.

Emily: My world fell apart, Nikolas.

Nikolas: And you never told me.

Emily: You were in prison and I knew what that was going to do to you.

Nikolas: I know, I know, I know, so -- oh, tell me. In your mind, did you feel like you were protecting me? Is that --?

Emily: Yes.

Nikolas: It?

Emily: That's what I wanted. Nikolas, it's what I owed you.

Nikolas: Owed me -- what? Owed me for what?

Emily: Because you pushed Helena off a cliff to protect me and then you turned yourself --

Nikolas: Which caused me to not be able to be there for you, Emily, when that --

Emily: You were. Nik, I mean --

Nikolas: Emily --

Emily: I knew that when we got you out that --

Nikolas: I was absolutely useless to you while I was in prison.

Emily: Stop it, Nikolas. That's not what I'm saying.

Nikolas: What you're saying is that everything has changed now -- that's what you're saying.

Emily: But isn't it? Does any of this feel the same?

Nikolas: All I wanted is for us to move forward, Emily! I -- I think we're stronger together than we are apart, or --

Emily: I shouldn't have excluded you.

Nikolas: Oh, I really wish you believed that.

Emily: Ok, I'm trying, Nikolas, ok? Every day, all I do is try. I really don't know what else you want from me.

Nikolas: Well, I want you to be honest with me. Can you be honest with me?

Emily: All right, Nikolas, I'll be honest! I had to protect a little boy. I would've told you but Jason begged me not to say a word for Michaelís sake, ok? That's the honest truth. You want to make it about something else, fine, but I wonít.

Sonny: What's he doing here? Get him the hell out of here. I'm not in the --

Reese: Durant has a search warrant. There's nothing I can do at the moment.

John: "At the moment"?

Reese: Whatever evidence you turn up here won't hold up in court, just like the so-called evidence you stole from Dr. Thomas.

Sonny: That's tainted.

Reese: "Fruit from the poisoned tree." Just -- oh, God, there's no one more poisonous than you, Durant.

John: Uh-huh.

Sonny: Amen to that.

John: Well, I got enough evidence to put Thomas on the stand.

Sonny: To testify to what? What he thinks Michael may have done?

Reese: Yeah, that's one man's opinion. It's lower than hearsay.

John: All right, well, you can make that argument to the jury right after I present physical evidence that Michaelís D.N.A. matches that that I found on the pillow.

Sonny: You would really put my son through a trial?

John: Really, that's up to you. You could turn him in; let him admit that he killed his father.

Sonny: I'm Michaelís father. I don't give a damn how much D.N.A. evidence you get, you buttoned-down son of a bitch. My son will never stand trial for A.J.'s murder. Never.

Sam: If we take Michael home, Durant will be waiting to arrest him. Then Michael -- he will just go right back into survival mode, you know? He'll go deeper into his fantasy world.

Jason: And we won't be able to get him out of it.

Sam: No. Jason, I think the truth is with Jodie. You need to encourage Michael to have her tell us what happened with A.J. that night.

Jason: I can't -- I'm not -- I'm not good at pretending. I mean, just now, when we realized what was going on down there, you acted like you were meeting a real person.

Sam: Jason -- come on, you can do it. You do it all the time with Michael. You do it with Morgan.

Jason: No, I can't --

Sam: You do it then.

Jason: I can push him on a swing, I can play games, I can play catch, but when it comes to make-believe, I can't, ok? I just don't know how.

Sam: Just talk to him.

Jason: He knows that I'm freaked.

Sam: Just talk to him.

Jason: Sam, he'll shut Jodie down again, like he just did, and I'm going to alienate him even more.

Sam: I'll teach you.

Jason: I can't!

Sam: I will --

Jason: I'm sorry. Michael needs help. I cannot be the one to screw it up.

Sam: It's ok. I'll do it. I'll get the truth out of Jodie.  I'm just gonna come out with it.

Courtney: What's this?

Jax: These are Metro Court spa treatments. This one is specifically designed to reduce stress.

Courtney: "A warm seaweed wrap eliminates toxins in the system, then a gentle salt rub exfoliates and renews the skin." Mmm. Sounds divine.

Jax: I went ahead and booked it.

Courtney: That's good. That's a good idea. I mean, you know how fast the spa books up, so --

Jax: Yeah, unless, of course, you think there's a better one.

Courtney: No, I'm -- this is fine, Jax. I mean, I'm sure Elizabeth will love it.

Jax: It's not for Elizabeth. It's for you.

Courtney: For me?

Jax: Of course. It's for you. I know I've been a little crazy with this whole baby thing, you know, venting and everything, so don't think I haven't noticed how patient you are. I appreciate that.

Courtney: You know, the truth is I guess it just doesn't feel real yet.

Jax: Yeah. It actually feels a little surreal. So why don't we just enjoy the next nine months and just indulge ourselves, hmm? Because before you know it, we're going to be -- well, you're going to be up to your neck in diapers and talcum powder and midnight feedings.

Courtney: Oh. Really? Ok, and when I am up to my neck in whatever, where are you going to be?

Jax: On the golf course.

Courtney: What?

Jax: Yeah.

Courtney: You don't even play golf.

Jax: Well, I'm thinking about taking it up. Ok, fine -- I will take the 3:00 A.M. feeding.

Courtney: Oh, no, no. I can't wait to see this. It's going to be funny.

Jax: Now, we have some pretty big decisions to make.

Courtney: Oh, no!

Jax: Yeah.

Courtney: No! No more big decisions, ok? I can't even decide on paint colors.

Jax: To nanny or not to nanny?

Courtney: Not. No.

Jax: Right, of course -- at least not for the first three months or so, so we can all bond.

Courtney: Mm-hmm, all of us.

Jax: We're going to be good at this. I have a good feeling about this, you know? I can just picture it in my mind -- you sitting there in the nursery, holding our baby in the rocking chair, feeding it -- yeah, the two of you so beautiful. I can just picture the whole thing.

Courtney: Jax?

Jax: Yeah?

Courtney: Can you see what color the walls are? I --

Jax: Come here.

Courtney: What?

Jax: Come here.

John: This will be at the lab tonight. I suspect it will prove something that we already know -- that Michael killed his biological father and you're complicit.

Sonny: Empty threats, Durant.

John: Yeah? That's why you smuggled the kid out of the country --

Sonny: Right.

Reese: You ought to make up your own mind for a second, Durant. One minute you say that Sam and Jason kidnapped Michael, and the next, you're saying that Sonny spirited him to God knows where. You can't have it both ways.

John: You're right. All right, so which one is it, Sonny? Oh, I see, your -- your attorney's advised you to keep your mouth shut. Is that it? You know, see, this doesn't really change the fact that everything falls back on you. You raised mike in a toxic household, you let him cut his teeth on crime and violence but, hey, let's look at the bright side -- the kid's only 9 years old. There's still hope, right?

Sonny: What the hell does that mean?

John: It means that he still has a chance for a normal life once he's outside of this place. It's amazing how resilient kids are. I firmly believe that one day in his heart, he's going to thank me for rescuing him from this so-called life. I -- I do. I believe that.

Sonny: Things are going to get uglier.

Reese: Yeah, well, you know what? Durant's just messing with you now because he wants to test you. He wants to see if you'll break and give up the location of Michael.

Sonny: That's not -- that's not what I'm talking about.

Reese: I know what you're talking about.

Sonny: I don't do well in corners.

Reese: I'll keep you out.

Sonny: I'm telling you right now. If Durant keeps pushing, he will be eliminated.

Reese: It doesn't have to go that way.

Sonny: I'm not backing off, Reese. I will fight for Michael, no rules. I just need to know if you're willing to stand with me.

Reese: Do I look like I'm ready to walk?

Sonny: Well, you told me once before you'd never break the law for me. You wouldn't risk your career or go to jail or cover for me or be my alibi.

Reese: Good memory.

Sonny: Well, you're a good lawyer and I respect that and I respect you. I don't want you to compromise for me.

Reese: Everything that I said back then was true and it still stands right now, ok? I will not be your mouthpiece or your consigliore or whatever, and I will never compromise myself for you.

Sonny: Ok.

Reese: But for Michael, that's a different story. I came to Port Charles to save him, and I will not let Durant hurt him or use him just so he can bring you down.

Sonny: So you're with me?

Reese: All the way.

Jason: Yeah.

Sam: Jason, they're onto me. They've been following me since I left the marketplace.

Jason: Well, where -- where are you? I'll come get you.

Sam: No, you have got to take Michael and you've got to leave now, ok, but --

Jason: Sam, I'm not going to leave you.

Officer: Miss, you need to come with us.

Sam: I'm sorry, officer. Is there --

Jason: Sam?

Sam: Is there a problem?

Officer: Yeah, you have to answer some questions down at the station. Hello? Who's there?

Michael: Jason? Jodie's ready to tell you who killed A.J. now.

>> On the next "General Hospital" --

Alan: They put an A.P.B. out for my grandson. What's going on?

Jason: Michael's created an imaginary friend.

Reese: It's possible that Michael didn't kill A.J. after all.

Michael: Tell Jason who really killed A.J. He'll help us. Talk to her.
