Felicia: So are you sure it's ok for Maxie to go home?

Maxie: Please, mom. If I have to spend one more night in here or submit one more test, I'm going to go stark-raving bonkers.

Monica: No, well, you don't have to do that, because there's no reason to keep you anymore. The medication is working beautifully, and your vitals are excellent.

Dillon: Do you hear that? You have good vitals.

Mac: Monica, what are the chances of her going back into heart failure?

Monica: Well, if she stays on her medication and she follows a few dietary restrictions, there's no reason that B.J.'s heart shouldn't serve her very well.

Mac: So then there's nothing left to do but the paperwork?

Felicia: That's ok. We're going to get you out of here.

Maxie: Can't wait.

Dillon: What? What?

Maxie: Have you heard anything about Jesse?

Jesse: Don't scream. I swear, I'm not going to hurt you.

Georgie: Who shot you?

Jesse: The police. But I swear I'm innocent. I just need a place to hide.

Georgie: Why should I help you?

Jessie: I'm a friend of Maxieís.

Luke: Do you remember all those petty, negative things I said about Alcazar; that he was smarmy and not worthy of you, blah, blah, blah?

Skye: What about it?

Luke: I was wrong. He has some fine qualities -- his checkbook, his stock options. These are just the qualities that we might need if Durant wins his case against the hospital. So I was thinking maybe you could use your considerable charms and make sure that he keeps his checkbook open and his pen lubricated.

Skye: If I didn't know better, I'd think that you were turning me out.

Luke: Like a pimp? Me? I wouldn't do that, exactly.

Skye: Well, don't get me wrong. It's not that I find the idea of seducing Lorenzo -- for any reason -- distasteful. Oh, that man is so much more than his money. I mean, look at him -- that charm and sophistication, that powerful jaw line, that potent fire in his eyes --

Luke: No, that's ok, Blaze. Really, you don't have to come up with all this potent jaw-line stuff for me. I know you're not serious.

Skye: Proving yet again that you know absolutely nothing about what women find attractive. Oh, I'm more than happy to do my part. In fact, it's the probably the most fun you ever asked me to have. I can't wait to get started.

Luke: Hey, hold your horses here, hot-to-trot. I think first you and I should discuss a few problems that we have.

Skye: I have no idea what you're talking about.

Luke: I'm talking about this insistence of yours on misunderstanding my hookup to Tracy.

Skye: Well, we all do what we must for the cause. Now it's my turn. Wish me luck.

Carly: Where's Sonny?

Jason: What are you doing here?

Carly: Being a good little soldier. I brought Morgan by to visit his brother and his dad.

Jason: Where is he?

Carly: He's upstairs with Leticia.

Jason: Well, why didn't you call Sonny and just tell him that you were going to bring Morgan over?

Carly: Sonny's not here, is he? Where is he? I don't even know why I'm asking that question because we both know where he is.

 [Phone rings]

Reese: Hello.

Sonny: Hi. It's me.

Reese: What can I do for you, Sonny?

Sonny: Well, I know you -- well, I just want to come by. I know you told me to call first.

Reese: You know what? Right now is really not a good time.

Sonny: Well, I'm not far.

[Knock on door]

Reese: Just hang on a second. There's somebody at my door, ok? Not cute, Corinthos.

Sonny: Whoa, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.

Dillon: Why are you wasting so much mental energy on somebody you didn't even know?

Maxie: You heard what Murphy told Mac. Jesse was shot.

Dillon: Yeah, and there's nothing you can do about it.

Maxie: I can help him.

Dillon: Don't you think you're getting in a little over your head? We're talking renegade cop who shot the D.A.

Maxie: No, he didn't do it.

Dillon: Well, there's a good chance he did.

Maxie: No, not possible.

Dillon: You know, how do you know that?

Maxie: I don't know. I just know.

Dillon: Oh, you just know --

Felicia: Ok. You're all set.

Maxie: Great. Where's Georgie?

Dillon: She's at the Pizza Shack.

Mac: And we're going to meet her at home, so you ready to blow this pop stand?

Maxie: You bet, let's go.

Mac: Let's go.

Georgie: I know who you are. Your pictures and posters are all over town.

Jesse: I'm innocent.

Georgie: Wait -- how do you know my sister?

Jesse: Oh, God -- I've been hiding out in the hospital.

Georgie: I'm calling 911.

Jesse: No! Please. Maxie knows I was framed. She wouldn't want you to.

Georgie: Why? Why? Because you say you're innocent?

Jesse: I'm a cop -- undercover.

Georgie: Listen, if you're a cop, then you have nothing to worry about. Cops protect their own.

Jesse: Not always. The only way out of this is for me to clear my name.

Tracy: Luke, Mr. Durant's lawsuit is like a Sword of Damocles over the hospital, not to mention the potential for disgrace for my family. You said you'd take care of this situation.

Luke: I did and I am. There's a plan in progress.

Tracy: Well, it better work.

Luke: Oh, here come the threats.

Tracy: Or you're going to kiss that big fat alimony check goodbye and your wings will be permanently clipped because you and I will be married until death us do part -- and not happily. See this cranky face? Well, it's going to be the one you're going to wake up to every morning for the rest of your life.

Alice: Well, there's incentive if I ever heard of it.

Tracy: Nobody likes a smart mouth, Alice.

Alice: Well, you would know, Ms. Tracy.

Tracy: Is there something in the drinking water that makes the hired help around here so blatantly insubordinate? And, you know, you're going to be smiling out of the other side of your face when you find yourself jobless and on the street.

Alice: Well, with all due respect, ma'am, it'll never happen. I have plenty of marketable skills.

Luke: Oh, I'll bet you do.

Tracy: Why are we standing around nattering with the help? What is your plan?

Luke: Well, for starts, I need you out of the house.

Tracy: Why?

Luke: Patience, my little pink pussycat. All will be revealed in the fullness of time.

Tracy: I'm warning you.

Luke: I know, I got that, Tracy, but you're going to have to go and let me work my magic go. Not you, sunshine. I need you.

Alice: Finally.

Skye: I'm so sorry for dropping in on you like this.

Lorenzo: Well, I could think of worse things.

Skye: Well, I wanted to come by in person so you could see my eyes.

Lorenzo: They're lovely.

Skye: Well, I wanted you to see that I'm being sincere.

Lorenzo: Would you like a drink?

Skye: Yes, please. I'd like some sparkling water with ice.

Lorenzo: Hmm. So, Skye, tell me what brings you here.

Skye: Well, John Durant is suing Carlyís mother and General Hospital for malpractice.

Lorenzo: Yes. I'm aware.

Skye: Due to an unfortunate oversight in the hospital's paperwork, it isn't adequately insured.

Lorenzo: I thought that was Alan Quartermaineís responsibility.

Skye: He's had a traumatic few months.

Lorenzo: So you're trying to cover for him?

Skye: If John Durant wins this lawsuit, the hospital could go under.

Lorenzo: Oh. And in order to prevent this house of cards from collapsing --

Skye: If General Hospital were more solvent, it could mount a more aggressive campaign against Durant. Now, you and I have both been caught in the so-called justice system. We both know that our cases are only as good as the lawyers we hire to defend it, and that justice comes with a very high price, indeed. Oh, that is the worst-case scenario. The other possible outcome is an out-of-court settlement, in which case the lawsuit goes away and we can all get on with our lives.

Lorenzo: You're talking about a substantial cash infusion.

Skye: Look at that -- a man with a mind like a steel trap.

Lorenzo: How substantial?

Skye: Well, a small sum for a man who's trying to polish up a tarnished image, hmm?

Lorenzo: Oh, I've already started down that road, Skye, starting with my legitimate association with E.L.Q.   Havenít you heard? I've been heralded as the man who's going to bring the company into the 21st century, finally get it running the way it should. I could probably rest on those laurels for a very long time. So tell me, why should I sink millions -- no, no -- tens of millions of dollars into General Hospital, hmm? What's in it for me?

Sonny: I know you asked me to call first, and so that's kind of what I did.

Reese: You know something? You're not as charming as you think.

Sonny: No? Doesn't matter what I think. Is it working?

Reese: Nope.

Sonny: Well, it's got to be working a little bit because you're trying real hard to stay mad at me.

Reese: I am mad, and I'm hurt, Sonny. You practically threw me out of your house like I was some stranger selling magazine subscriptions or something. You know, I connected with Michael when no one else could, not even you. And it's like that doesn't even matter.

Sonny: Ok. Listen, Reese, you know that if it wasn't for you we might have lost Michael. I've already expressed my gratitude. I apologize if I made you feel like an outsider.

Reese: So why did you, Sonny?

Sonny: Because I -- I saw my son yesterday in so much pain that it felt like my heart was breaking in my chest. The only thing I could think about was how do I make the pain go away. And if it was going -- you know, if it wasn't going to be as convenient to ask you to just meet me somewhere else instead of my house -- I didn't think that was, you know, too big of a deal. After everything Michaelís been through, we have to be within calling distance, and I'm trying real hard to take care of the people who matter to me. And you're on that list. And, I mean, you know -- I know you told me to call first, and that's what I did. I mean, isn't that a little bit charming? A little bit?

Reese: This much, maybe.

Sonny: Well, every little bit counts.

Reese: Don't do that. Don't go there.

Sonny: What?

Reese: Dimples.

Sonny: Is it working?

Jason: Carly, you need to get things in perspective. You married what's-his-name. Sonny's with Reese. It's time to accept it and just move on.

Carly: Ok, Sonny has always been a concerned and involved father, no matter what was going on in his life, until now. Now he's so besotted with Reese --

Jason: Why didn't you just call him and tell him you're bringing Morgan over?

Carly: Where the hell is he, Jason, when his kids need him most? Shacked up with some skank who lies to his face every day about who she is and what's she's doing here? What happened to Sonny's instincts? I mean, has he just lost them, or is Reese so good in bed that he doesn't even want to listen to them anymore?

Jason: Do we really have to go there? Do we?

Carly: Admit it, Jason. You know that Sonny is being stupid for trusting Reese.

Jason: Ok, I already told you I don't trust Reese, all right? But it doesn't matter what I think. Sonny's going to do what he wants, whether you or I agree, Carly. So it's time to mind your own business, let me mind my own business. I got better things to do than trying to stop you from ruining your life again.

Carly: You know what? I'm not going to leave Morgan here. I'm going to take him with me. And when Sonny is ready to see his son, then he can damn well come see us.

Brook Lynn: So I bet you can't wait to welcome Maxie home.

Diego: Do you want me to leave?

Brook Lynn: Why would I?

Diego: Right. See, what I think is that you want me to stay here so you can watch every move I make, right, like a test? To see if there's something going on between me and Maxie?

Dillon: Straight from the intensive care unit of General Hospital and into your living room, I now present to you the incredible healing machine, Maxie Jones.

Maxie: Thank you. Oh. Hi.

Brook Lynn: Welcome home.

Maxie: Thanks. Thanks for coming and for the banner. I love it.

Brook Lynn: Yeah, we're happy to do it.

Maxie: Well, get over here.

Diego: Hey, you know what? If I didn't know it, I wouldn't believe you'd never been sick --

Felicia: Hey, hey, hey, you didn't miss anything.

Georgie: No. I'm just really, really happy to have my sister home. Hi. I need to talk to you.

Maxie: What's going on?

Mac: Hey, hey, don't be rude to our guests, ok? You guys will have plenty of time together.

Felicia: Besides, I need you. I need you in the kitchen.

Mac: Yeah.

Felicia: Come on.

Mac: Go help.

Sonny: Hi.

Reese: You're back.

Sonny: Miss me?

Reese: Well, I'm always happy to see a man carrying ice cream.

Sonny: No, it's gelato.

Reese: Even better. What flavor?

Sonny: Oh, espresso.

Reese: It's my favorite.

Sonny: Yeah. See? We are compatible.

Reese: All right. You did it.

Sonny: Yeah? What'd I do? What'd I do? What'd I do?

Reese: Made it hard for me to stay mad at you.

Sonny: Yeah? Great. Because I need to ask you a favor.

Reese: Oh, come on. No fair. My defenses are down.

Sonny: No -- well, it's kind of important -- at least for me it is.

Reese: All right.

Sonny: I want us to spend more time together.

Reese: Ok, out with it. How?

Sonny: Well, I want -- with my children. I want you to spend more time with my children, just the four of us.

Reese: Really?

Sonny: Yeah. Michael and Morgan -- they need to get to know you, to get used to having you around, and I want them to know, you know, I mean, how special you are.

Reese: I would love that. Wait. I didn't pressure you into this, did I?

Sonny: No, no. Maybe I didn't make myself clear. When I said that I want you in my life, that means I want you in my life. I didn't mean -- you know, I didn't mean to exclude you. It's just that we need to take it slow, and Michael has to get used to the idea. He got a little upset seeing us together, so we got to help Michael get used to the idea. Is that ok with you?

Reese: It's ok with me.

Skye: What's in it for you? Where do I start? How about that wonderful feeling that fills your heart when you do something that benefits others, hmm? The Lorenzo Alcazar Pediatric Wing. Your face on medical brochures, surrounded by adoring, grateful children, who are now healthy because of your generosity, hmm? You go from international scary guy to model citizen just like that.

Lorenzo: Hmm. How much?

Skye: Oh, please. You cannot put a price on that kind of P.R.

Lorenzo: Well, try.

Skye: Ok. How about 20 million? To go from sinner to saint, hmm? To give hope to sick children everywhere? To give back to society after years of taking? Now, I'd call that a bargain.

Lorenzo: Skye, I'm a businessman. And make no mistake, a hospital is a business. It exists to turn a profit. People tend to lose sight of that. I donít. And you mentioned your sincerity. I find your proposal disingenuous.

Skye: I don't understand.

Lorenzo: You're using the hospital as a decoy. My $20 million will go straight into John Durantís pocket in exchange for dropping the malpractice suit. The hospital board would do anything to avoid going to trial, right? And in exchange, I get my face plastered on a couple of pamphlets and a warm, fuzzy feeling inside? I'm sorry. That's just not a good business deal.

Skye: Lorenzo, please. You're looking at this from the wrong point of view. You need to look at this from the altruistic point of view.

Lorenzo: My vision doesn't see it that way. I like you. I want to help you. But I'm going to have to pass on this one.

Skye: Ok. Well, thanks for hearing me out and thanks for the drink.

Carly: What do you want?

Skye: Oh, a simple, uncomplicated life, but that doesn't seem possible.

Lorenzo: Hi. You're back early.

Carly: Yeah, yeah. So are Morgan and Leticia. It seems my ex is too busy bedding his current tramp to spend time with his son.

Lorenzo: You seem relatively calm about that.

Carly: What can I say?

Lorenzo: Not even a little upset?

Carly: Not in the least.

Lorenzo: Angry?

Carly: No. I'm not upset.

Lorenzo: Sorry.

Carly: I'm beyond furious. I'm done.

Felicia: Look, anybody need anything else?

Diego: We're good.

Felicia: Yeah?

Diego: Yeah.

Felicia: Ok.

Diego: You ok?

Maxie: Excuse me. Yeah. I just -- all of a sudden, I just got really tired.

Felicia: You know, it's been a big day. You shouldn't overdo it.

Mac: Your mom's right. You're still recovering. Look, don't push yourself.

Georgie: You know what? I'll go upstairs with you, help you settle in.

Maxie: Ok.

Georgie: Good.

Dillon: Welcome home.

Maxie: Thank you.

Dillon: Sure.

Brook Lynn: We should probably go because --

Diego: Yeah. I want to say goodbye to her first.

Brook Lynn: What, am I stopping you?

Diego: Hey, you know what? This house is a much a better backdrop than that hospital room you were in.

Maxie: Tell me about it.

Diego: Yeah, I'm really happy you're doing well.

Maxie: Stop sounding like you're never going to see me again. We're friends now.

Diego: Yeah, friends.

Maxie: Hey, you too, ok?

Brook Lynn: Look, I'm glad you're better.

Maxie: Thanks. I'll see you guys later.

Brook Lynn: Bye.

Georgie: Thanks, Dillon.

Dillon: Mm-hmm.

Georgie: You got it?

Dillon: Yep.

Georgie: Good.

Maxie: All right, what in the world is going on?

Georgie: So much for the new, improved Ms. Maxie Jones.

Maxie: What is that supposed to mean?

Georgie: Maxie, you've been home from the hospital for less than two hours and you've already gotten yourself in more trouble than you've ever been in in your entire life.

Alice: Voila.

Luke: Man, that's a work of art. You are truly a woman of many talents.

Alice: You have no idea.

Luke: What was that?

Alice: Happy to be of service, Mr. Spencer.

Luke: Come on, sunshine. Save the bow-and-scrape routine for those who want to believe it.

Alice: Oh, it truly is refreshing having you in this house of horrors.

Luke: Well, you're the only one who thinks so. But on the other hand, yours is the only opinion that counts.

Alice: Well, you flatter me.

Luke: Not nearly enough. Not nearly enough.

Luke: There we go.  Uh!

Alice: You like?

Luke: Well, I -- I don't know. What -- what does it mean?

Alice: Well, it's part of my costume. You know, mud wrestling Friday nights at the Rio lounge? I'm the star attraction.

Luke: You're the Dominator?

Alice: You've seen my show?

Luke: No, but I've seen the marquee and all the lines. Oh, woman, you really pack them in.

Alice: Makes you look at me in a whole different light now, doesn't it?

John: Am I interrupting something?

Luke: No, no, you're right on time.

John: For what, exactly?

Jason: Dr. Thomas. You have a minute?

Dr. Thomas: It depends. What have I done wrong now?

Jason: Nothing that I know of. I just need some information.

Dr. Thomas: All right. As long as it doesn't concern Michaelís therapy.

Jason: No, no, it's about me. You were one of my doctors after the accident. I just want to know what happened to me.

Carly: You know, you're absolutely right. I've been obsessing. Sonny chose Reese, end of story, not my business.

Lorenzo: Good for you.

Carly: You know what my problem is? I have too much time on my hands. I need someplace else to focus my energy, like an actual job.

Lorenzo: You still have the Cellar.

Carly: No, that's the last place I want to spend my time. It just reeks of Sonny and the past. I want something different, something big, someplace I never have to think about that self-centered pig.

Sonny: The self-centered pig is here for his son.

Carly: Morgan will be so happy to see you. He was really disappointed that you weren't home. Leticia, can you bring Morgan down? Sonny's here. So, what are you guys doing this afternoon?

Sonny: Reese and I -- we're going to take the kids to the park, you know, just to have fun.

Carly: Oh, the park, that's nice.

Sonny: Yeah.

Carly: It's a lovely day for that, too. I mean, Reese is so good with Michael.

Sonny: Yeah, that's true. Usually you'd cut your tongue out to admit that. So, why didn't you cut your tongue out?

Carly: Well, I'm trying to be an adult now.

Sonny: Oh.

Carly: And I think it's the best thing for everyone's sake, especially Michaelís, for my own peace of mind --

Sonny: Mm-hmm.

Carly: And I'm not very good with congenial when I know someone's a lying, backstabbing tramp, so don't push me.

Morgan: Daddy?

Sonny: Hey!

Carly: Hi, honey.

Sonny: There he is, big boy. All right, so, let's go. See you later.

Lorenzo: Well, that was an impressive display of willpower. It's safe now. You can go ballistic.

Carly: Hmm.

[Carly screams]

Dr. Thomas: Look, when I was brought in to consult on your case, you had already been unconscious for days. Very little was known about your condition at that point. You were completely unresponsive, completely unaware of anything that was going on around you.

Nurse: Dr. Thomas, no. Not here.

Dr. Thomas: Come on, don't worry about him. The guy's a vegetable, so he won't hear or see a thing we do. You wouldn't even remember me being around.

Luke: Don't take this wrong. I think you're a spectacular specimen of womanhood.

Alice: Oh, Mr. Spencer, I'm just funning with you. The state your life is in, a gal would have to be nuts to throw her hat in that ring.

Luke: Well, you're not only spectacular, you're also very wise.

Alice: Well, is there anything else I can do for you today?

Luke: No, thanks, sunshine. I'll take it from here.

Alice: Excellent.

Luke: What a dame, huh?

John: Ok.

Maxie: They said you'd been shot trying to escape from the hospital.

Jesse: It's not bad. The bullet passed through.

Georgie: I found him at the Pizza Shack, and I recognized him from the police posters, and he swears you think he's innocent.

Maxie: No, I do, I do. He's got a fever.

Georgie: I wanted to call 911, but he wouldn't let me.

Jesse: I'll be ok. I just need a place to rest.

Georgie: No, Maxie, he needs to be in the hospital.

Jesse: Only if you sneak me into Durantís room first. I'll tell him what happened, I'll clear my name, and then I don't have to worry.

Maxie: Durant's not in the hospital anymore.

Georgie: Wait. How do you know?

Maxie: I snuck behind the nurses' desk and looked at the release forms. Look, we're going to figure something out, ok, and whatever you want to do, I'm going to help you, I promise.

Georgie: Oh, no, no, no. Like hell you will.

John: $20 million. It's a lot of money.

Luke: It won't give you back the use of your legs, but it might ease the pain.

John: I'm tempted.

Luke: Good. How about lunch? Take your time.

John: I need to think. I'll be in touch.

Skye: What? Are you blind? I was waving my arms out there like a crazy woman.

Luke: Well, something tells me you weren't saying hello.

Skye: Alcazar doesn't have a charitable bone in his body. He turned me down flat. So I guess it's on to Plan B.

Luke: That was it.

Skye: That was it?

Luke: Yeah, that was Plan B. There was no Plan A. I'm open to suggestion.

Skye: In other words, we're doomed.

Luke: That's elegantly put and 100% true.

Carly: Thank you, sir, for permission to scream. It worked. I'm empty now.

Lorenzo: You sure?

Carly: That was the last of any emotion or energy that I am going to spend on Sonny or his life, personal or otherwise.

Lorenzo: Hmm.

Carly: And now it is all about my own life and the one I'm making with you.

Lorenzo: Works for me.

Carly: Have I ever mentioned how lucky I am that you waited for me?

Lorenzo: Hmm, not in the last day or two. But I kind of believe that actions speak louder than words.

Carly: Thank you for being my lifeline.

Lorenzo: Thank you for holding on. And you know what? I think you were right about needing a focus that's not connected in any way to your past with Sonny.

Carly: Well, it sounds like you have an idea.

Lorenzo: I might have an idea or two. Stay right there. I won't be long.

Carly: I'll be waiting.

Jason: There was a nurse who worked at General Hospital when I had my accident. 10 -- wow, yeah, 10 years ago. Cybill. I don't know her last name, ok? I'll work on that. You just get back to me as soon as you can, because it's very important. All right, Justus? Ok, thank you.

Sonny: Is Reese here?

Jason: Is she supposed to be?

Sonny: We're taking the kids to the park.

Jason: What, you and Reese?

Sonny: Yeah.

Jason: Did you -- I mean, did you even ask Michael? You know he doesn't like her.

Sonny: No, I know that. Michael has a problem with me dating Reese so, you know --

Jason: Right.

Sonny: The way to get past that --

Jason: No, Michaelís upstairs dealing with the biggest emotional trauma of his life. His mother married a guy he can't stand. Now you're trying to shove your girlfriend down his throat. It's not fair. Michael's more important than Reese.

Georgie: Maxie, you just got out of the hospital, and you were there because you almost died from a heart attack.

Jesse: Wait a minute. Oh -- I am not going to let you risk your health, maybe even your life, by getting involved in my problems.

Maxie: I'm already involved.

Georgie: Maxie, please. Please, just -- just for once, think before you jump in headfirst --

Maxie: Georgie, I promise you, I am not going to go and do anything stupid, ok? But I'm not going to sit around and act like some fragile thing, either.

Georgie: No one's asking you to.

Jesse: Listen to your sister. It's not a good idea to get caught in the middle of a police matter. I should never have come here.

Maxie: No, no, I'm glad that you did. I'm going to help you, and there's nothing anyone can say --

[Knock on door]

Mac: Maxie, Georgie, what's going on in there?

Brook Lynn: So this is where you live?

Diego: I'm still getting used to all of it. Look, I've got a closet full of clothes, a brand-new car, and most of all, money, ok, that I don't have to think about, all right? I don't have to save it. I don't have to worry about getting more, ok? If I see something that I want, I'm going to buy it, all right? Maybe to you -- maybe you think that means I'm shallow, right?

Brook Lynn: What, is that what you think, that I'm judging you?

Diego: Yes, sometimes. Ok, it's like this, what I'm doing, living with my father, I'm not doing it the way you wanted me to do it, ok? Maybe I should have not taken all the money, maybe just a little, or maybe agree to live here, but insist on taking on the bus.

Brook Lynn: Wow. I never thought of it that way before, just --

Diego: Yeah.

Brook Lynn: You know what? You're right, Diego. You're right. I don't know how, but somehow I turned into Dillon, you know, writing one of those movies in his head. Diego, I wrote this whole story about how I wanted you to be, and --

Diego: Yeah, and I disappointed you.

Brook Lynn: No, it just turned out differently than I'd expected. And you know what? It's taking me some time to adjust, but that's ok. And meanwhile, you know, there's Maxie, who didn't know you before and can like the way that you are now.

Diego: Well --

Brook Lynn: Diego, look, I'm sorry, ok?

Diego: Yeah.

Brook Lynn: No, I didn't mean it like that.

Diego: It sounded honest.

Brook Lynn: Diego, I like you, too. I do. It's just the only person that I'm starting not to like right now is myself, ok? I mean, God, I don't want to be needy. I don't want to be insecure. I just -- I guess I just have to believe that you're with me because you want to be, and that if you change your mind, hey, you'll let me know.

Diego: I want to be with you, Brook. Only you.

Tracy: Let me get this straight. You offered the District Attorney a multimillion-dollar payoff so he would drop his suit against General Hospital?

Alan: With nothing to back it up? That's great, Luke. Brilliant.

Luke: There was a glitch.

Monica: Why are you still here? I mean, what heinous thing have we done to deserve you?

Lorenzo: You know, I wouldn't knock Luke. He's more clever than you realize. Skye, I've reconsidered. I will supply the money to bail out the hospital.

Skye: I knew you'd come through.

Lorenzo: There's one condition.

Luke: You want Skye?

Lorenzo: I'm a happily married man, and I'd like to keep it that way, which is why I want Carly put in charge.

Alan: In charge of what?

Sonny: Actually, Carlyís fine with me and Reese taking the kids to the park. Why shouldn't she be? I mean, look, she married you-know-who, building their own life. Why is it ok for Carly and not for me?

Jason: That's not what I'm saying. That's not what this is about right now.

Sonny: I'm trying to do this the right way, for Michael and Morganís sake. That's why I asked Reese to move out of here. That's why I'm introducing her into the picture little by little. It's an adjustment for everybody, but it's starting to happen. I went to pick up Morgan, ok? Carly was accepting, calm, maybe even nice.

Jason: Did you just hear what you said? Carly was accepting, calm, and nice.

Sonny: Mm-hmm.

Jason: Sonny, she's putting on an act. Don't you think she's up to something?

Reese's voice: We're like sisters! How could you do this to me?

[Phone rings]

>> On the next "General Hospital" --

Mac: I want this door open now.

[Knock on door]

Lorenzo: I want her to head up the hospital's charitable endowment.

Jason: You know what happens when Carly feels threatened.

Sonny: Are you saying that I should protect Reese from Carly?
