Luke: Honey, I'm home. Would you have that run up to our bedroom, pops?

Alan: God help us.

Edward: What is this?

Ned: From what I can tell, Luke is your latest son-in-law. So, Luke, what do I call you? Dad?

Skye: I could think of a few choice things to call him.

Luke: Well, this is all so warm and fuzzy. I feel like a member of the family already.

Tracy: Oh, look, there is no way you're moving in here so you can fleece me for alimony.

Monica: Oh, this Thanksgiving should be so special.

Alice: Let me show you to Mrs. Spencer's room.

Luke: Oh, thank you, sunshine. Aren't you the first day of spring.

[Alice giggles]

Tracy: Yeah, and if you blush, you're fired. Give me that.

Alice: Hey, let go.

Tracy: I've got it! Give it to me. Let --

Alice: Give it to me!

Luke: Hey, honey bunch, my pretty little peppermint popsicle, don't be jealous. You know I'm all yours till death do us part.

Edward: God.

Nikolas: The last thing I want is for you to look at me with fear and with anger in your eyes, but the fact is I look like Connor, which is part of the problem. I say let's make it part of the solution.

Emily: What are you saying?

Nikolas: Let me stand in for him. Confront me the way you would him.

Emily: No, I can't let you stand in for Connor.

Nikolas: If it could, Emily, then why not try?

Emily: I never want to hate you the way I hate Connor.

Ric: Michael, do you know why you're here?

John: I'll handle this.

Ric: That won't be necessary, Durant.

John: Michael, let's do this real fast, because I know there are a lot of places a bright young man like you would rather be than sitting in a boring old courtroom, right? All right. Now, I just have one question for you. Did you see someone murder your biological father?

Justus: Objection, your honor!

[Judge pounds gavel]

Sonny: Michael, you don't have to answer, buddy. You listen to me.

Tracy: That is a priceless antique.

Luke: So are we, mama. So are we. Edward, will you join me in a toast?

Edward: You're drinking my 60-year-old single-malt?

Luke: Yeah, well, there was no label on the decanter, so I figured it was better hooch than what we water down at the Star. Right, Skye?

Edward: You don't have any right to drink -- that's $150 a bottle!

Ned: I think what my grandfather's trying to say is welcome to the family, Luke.

Luke: Thank you, Ned. To my blushing bride. I've seen a side of Tracy that I -- well, who knew? True, originally, it was just that primal animal sexual thing that she does so well.

[Tracy gasps]

[Luke growls]

Luke: But there's something else, something more vulnerable here, something, dare I say, sweet. I am, from now on, going to work as hard as possible to be the kind of husband that this little lady deserves.

Nikolas: Dr. Winters said it would help if you confronted Connor.

Emily: Nikolas, he's dead.

Nikolas: Yeah, but I'm not. Use me, Emily. Tell me what a sick, twisted bastard he was. Tell me all the things that you didn't get to tell him.

Emily: Look, I can't do that to you.

Nikolas: You -- but you can do this? Huh? You can't even barely look at me. You can't stand it when I touch you. You asked me for a divorce while I was still in prison.

Emily: I didn't know what else to do, Nikolas.

Nikolas: I know, I know that, but I also know all the things that you've survived in your life. Huh? Are you going to let some dead psycho be the one who finally beats you?

Louise: Emily? Did you set up our next appointment?

Emily: I'll -- I'll be right back.

Nikolas: Look, you've told her that it would help if she confronted her attacker, right, to get her anger out, right?

Louise: Yeah, obviously, it would be the best, but she canít.

Nikolas: Ok, I know, but what about me? I mean, I look like the guy so, I don't know, why not let me be him, let me let her take it all out on me?

Louise: Role-play?

Nikolas: Yeah, if that's what you call it.

Louise: Nikolas, that's a very generous offer, but it could turn incredibly painful.

Nikolas: Look, I don't want to cause Emily any more pain than I already have.

Louise: No, not Emily. It's for you. You're the one who could end up hurt.

 [Judge pounds gavel]

Judge: Quiet, or I'll clear the court.

Sonny: You don't have to answer him, buddy, ok? You don't have to say anything you don't want to say.

Judge: Mr. Ward, I'll hold your client in contempt if he cannot restrain himself.

Justus: I understand, your honor.

Michael: It's ok. I want to answer the question!

Justus: Sonny, we got to sit down or else this is just --

Sonny: Ok, I'm sitting down. What are you talking about?

Justus: We need you to sit down. All right.

John: Michael, would you like me to repeat the question?

Michael: Sure.

John: Did you see someone murder your father?

Michael: My father is right there.

John: Michael, you took an oath to tell the truth. You're going to have to answer my question.

Michael: I did not see anyone kill A.J. Quartermaine.

John: Are you trying to protect Sonny?

Justus: Objection, your honor! He's badgering a little boy!

Michael: My dad does not need protecting. He did not kill A.J.

John: Well, Michael, the only way that you can be certain of that is if you did know who killed A.J.

Justus: Objection, your honor! He's a little boy!

[Judge pounds gavel]

John: Your honor, I do not see --

[Judge pounds gavel]

Carly: Ok, that's enough! You don't have to answer -- you know what? You can arrest me or find me in contempt of court. I don't care. I'm taking my son home.

Justus: You can't do this.

Judge: Mrs. Corinthos, this is unacceptable behavior in my court.

Ric: Your honor, the prosecution has no further questions for this witness.

Judge: The witness is free to go. We'll take a 10-minute recess.

[Judge pounds gavel]

Michael: I wanted to make it better for dad, but I only made it worse.

Carly: Honey, you were great. You could never make it worse.

Bobbie: Oh, Michael! Thank heavens! Honey, we've been so worried about you.

Carly: Nice work, mom.

Mike: Hey, the kid's slippery, gave us -- he got us distracted and snuck out the window.

Carly: Uh -- all right, listen, I'm sending you home with your grandparents and I want you to stay there. You understand?

Michael: I know. Yeah, I know.

Carly: Don't humor me, Michael. I mean it.

Michael: I promise.

Carly: I love you. You did great.

Sonny: Hey, Durant? You're a dead man.

Tracy: Luke lured me to Las Vegas, got me drunk, and then took advantage of my vulnerable condition.

Luke: Oh, now, my little sweet potato pie, you were many things last night, many, many things, but vulnerable was not among them.

Georgie: Excuse me. Children are present.

Luke: I hate to contradict my new wife but, sweetheart, you were slumped over a table with a bunch of empty glasses on it when I found you and you went to Vegas without any coaxing from me.

Tracy: Because you knew full well that I would show up the minute I heard that -- that my son and Georgie had gotten married.

Monica: What? Dillon?

Edward: What did you -- have you lost your mind?

Ned: This just gets richer and richer.

Dillon: Can we chill, please, because we didn't actually get married. It was a joke thing.

Tracy: No, it was not a joke. It was a vicious plot to get me to Las Vegas so Luke could get his hands on what doesn't belong to him.

Edward: Tracy, get an annulment. Case closed.

Luke: Too late for that. Right, my little corn muffin?

Monica: You consummated the marriage?

Dillon: At the risk of repeating myself --

Dillon, Georgie, Monica: Ew.

Ned: Luke, let me get this straight. You chose my mother over Skye?

Louise: I know you love Emily, but sometimes it's not enough.

Nikolas: Look, we're strong enough to make this work. I know we are.

Louise: Your husband is a very persuasive man, Emily.

Emily: No, I know.

Louise: Well, I've used role-playing in the past and I've had positive results overall.

Emily: What's the downside?

Louise: You both have to be sure it's what you want. Why don't you two discuss it? I'll be in my office.

Nikolas: Come here. This can work. Ok? Now, Connor did this to you while I was locked away in prison, and you've been dealing with this by yourself the whole time, but it's tearing you to pieces. And up until now all I've been able to do is just -- just stand and watch you suffer, but I can finally do something now. Ok?

Emily: Ok.

Nikolas: I couldn't stop what he did to you, but maybe now at least I can help fix it.

Emily: Ok, I'll do it, for you.

Sonny: Better hope you nail me, because I'll make you pay for what you put my son through.

John: Michael doesn't have to suffer one more second. No more pain, no more drama. Change your plea to guilty and we both win.

Ric: I think it's going exceedingly well so far, don't you?

Alexis: No, I donít. I don't think that went well at all. And I wish that he didn't recant his confession.

Ric: Try to imagine Kristina up there, and then you tell me how much this is worth it.

Alexis: What do you think I'm doing this for? I'm doing it so that she never gets up on that stand and has to testify against her mobster father for getting her into trouble. So you save your self-righteous anger, Ric, because that man belongs behind bars and it is your job as a prosecutor -- not to mention a stepfather -- to put him there.

Ric: Durant is waging his own personal vendetta out there. He doesn't need any help from me.

Alexis: If he walks away, I am letting you know right now that I am walking away with both children, because that is the only way that I will ever be able to keep them safe.

Bailiff: All rise for presiding judge Sherry Hunter.

Judge: You may be seated. Mr. Lansing, Mr. Durant, are you ready to call your next witness?

Ric: We are, your honor.

Steven: Postmortem showed petechiae on the victim's face and neck, indicating that he had been smothered.

John: Smothered by what?

Steven: Smothered by a standard-issue hospital pillow.

John: But you said there were no traces of the defendant's D.N.A. found on the pillow.

Steven: He could have worn gloves.

Nurse: I was entering Mr. Quartermaine's cubicle in E.R., and I heard Mr. Corinthos say that he, Mr. Quartermaine, would never get near Michael again.

Alan: Sonny hung A.J. from a meat hook and left him there until A.J. agreed to sign away his parental rights.

Elizabeth: I administered the sedative to A.J. myself. He was in a great deal of pain and had to be in restraints due to his spinal injury. He was helpless to defend himself when he was smothered.

Dr. OíDonnell: I passed Michaelís room and saw that he was alone, asleep. Both of his parents were gone.

Mac: Sonny Corinthos came into the police department and said that he killed A.J. Quartermaine.

Justus: Objection, your honor!

John: I'd like to enter this into evidence, your honor. It is the defendant's taped confession --

Justus: Your honor, this so-called taped confession has been ruled inadmissible. Mr. Durant is well aware of these facts.

Judge: Mr. Durant, watch yourself.

John: Your honor, I don't understand why we can't use it. It was a confession willingly given with no coercion, no procedural error.

Justus: Instructions, your honor, please!

Judge: Mr. Durant, final warning. Members of the jury, a defendant is within his rights to recant any statement he may have made and change his plea. Therefore, you are to disregard Mr. Durant's motion and any reference to a confession.

John: No further questions, your honor.

Judge: You're excused for now, Commissioner Scorpio.

Justus: Now it's our turn.

Sonny: Well, you better make it good, because right now every person on that jury wants to see me fry.

Luke: The truth is a guy like me doesn't stand a chance with Skye.

Skye: Got that right.

Luke: She needs a man with higher principle, someone who lives a disciplined life, someone whose -- what was it -- dark side isn't so dark?

Edward: Skye, would you stop this madness, tell the man you love him?

[Doorbell rings]

Edward: I mean, he's not too dark. Look at him.

Monica: You do look a little pale, Luke.

Dillon: Mm-hmm.

Ned: You might as well tell him how you feel.

Skye: I canít.

Georgie: Skye, why not?

Skye: Because -- because I -- because I'm in love with him!

Louise: The idea is to give Emily a safe place to express herself. If I feel we're taking a wrong turn, I'll stop you.

Nikolas: Ok.

Emily: I'm not sure how to start.

Louise: Close your eyes, and when you open them, imagine you're facing the man who raped you.

Louise: What do you want to say to Connor?

Emily: He's not Connor.

Nikolas: I am when I try to kiss you. I am when I try to touch you. You don't see a difference then?

Emily: I don't want to hurt you.

Nikolas: Emily, I don't know any other way to get past this.

Louise: Emily, only if you want to.

Nikolas: It's ok. It's ok.

Louise: You are Connor Bishop. You hurt this woman deeply. Do you remember what he said to you, Emily, right before he attacked you?

Emily: Uh-uh.

Nikolas: Yes, you do. Yes, you do. You remember everything.

Emily: He said -- you said that you fantasized about me, about being with me.

Nikolas: I fantasize about you all the time, about making love to you.

Emily: Oh, no, he -- he wasn't kind. He was angry and ugly, and he didn't care about me. It was all about what he wanted.

Nikolas: I live with you 24/7, Emily. We pretend to everyone that I'm your husband.

Emily: You understood the boundaries. It was supposed to be a job, not real life.

Nikolas: I had a scar removed for you. I had tattoos put on my arms for you. You asked me to be Nikolas --

Emily: I didn't ask for this.

Nikolas: But you can't have it all your way. You wanted me to be your husband, and that's exactly what --

Emily: To pretend to be my husband.

Nikolas: Is that all I am to you? Is that all I am to you, is your pretend husband?

Emily: Let me go!

Nikolas: Not until I get what I want!

Emily: Shut up!

Nikolas: You know you want it, Emily!

Emily: Just shut up! You pig! You disgust me! I hate you! Do you hear me? I hate you!  I hate you for what you did to me. You took my whole life and my feelings, and you turned them into something terrifying. And I almost felt sorry for you, like you were all confused and you had a screwed-up life and like somehow this was all my fault and I brought it on myself. Well, I didnít. I didn't lead you on or ask for it. I didn't do anything wrong except mistake you for a human being. Well, you're not! You're just a filthy animal.

Louise: Good, Emily. Tell him.

Emily: I didn't want you. I begged you to stop, but you wouldnít. No, you hurt me! You son of a bitch! You took my body like it belonged to you! Like it didn't matter what I felt or what I wanted! This isn't just a body, Connor, just flesh and blood and muscle that you can abuse and use any way you want! Someone lives in here. I live in here! And I have a heart and a soul, and you had no right -- I did not give you permission to take that away! You raped me, Connor! You raped me, and you deserved to die! Oh, God --  Oh, God.

Justus: The defense calls agent Reese Marshall.

Reese: Time of death is always approximate. It can vary 20 minutes to several hours, so while it's possible that Dr. OíDonnell was in the vicinity of Michaelís room at the time of the murder, it's also possible that he wasnít.

Justus: Did you see my client around the approximate time of Mr. Quartermaine's murder?

Reese: I saw Mr. Corinthos in the fourth-floor lounge before the murder, and I saw him near his son's room after the victim's body was discovered.

Justus: Did he say anything about wanting to visit Mr. A.J. Quartermaine?

Reese: No.

Justus: You were the F.B.I. agent assigned to the Michael Corinthos kidnapping, were you not?

Reese: Yes.

Justus: That allows you time to get to know the boy's family pretty well, especially my client over here?

Reese: That's right.

Justus: In your professional opinion, do you think my client committed this murder?

John: Objection, your honor --

Reese: No.

John: Come on, that's what we're here to find out.

Judge: Sustained. The jury will disregard the witness' last response.

Sam: If Sonny confessed, I can't blame him. Both Sonny and Carly would do anything to keep Michael from being traumatized by having to testify in court, which I think is a disgusting, unthinkable thing to do coming from a man who claims to care about that child!

John: Your honor? Your honor? Your honor, please.

Judge: Ms. McCall, confine your answers to the questions asked.

Justus: I have no further questions, your honor. The defense calls Mr. Jason Morgan.

Justus: Mr. Morgan, you were in the emergency room with Mr. Sonny Corinthos on the night A.J. Quartermaine was murdered, were you not?

Jason: Yes, I was.

Justus: And you witnessed a conversation between Agent Marshall and Ric Lansing, the district attorney, about charging Mr. Quartermaine with kidnapping, did you not?

Jason: Yes, I did.

Justus: What was said?

Jason: Well, they said that they had a very strong case against A.J. Quartermaine for attempted murder, kidnapping, and conspiracy.

John: Objection, your honor. The man is dead. He can't defend himself.

Justus: Your honor, this is not hearsay. Mr. Morgan witnessed a conversation between two law enforcement officers.

Judge: I'll allow it.

Justus: With the likelihood of Mr. Quartermaine being severely punished for kidnapping and other crimes, did the defendant take the deceased's life into his own hands?

Jason: He really had no reason to because Sonny knew that the legal system would take care of A.J.

Justus: No further questions.

John: Oh, I've got a few questions for this witness.

Lorenzo: So the truth is out.

Skye: Oh, I couldn't help myself.

Dillon: I'm sorry. You said that you couldn't be with Luke because he's too dark, but that's Lorenzo Alcazar.

Luke: Hey --

Dillon: I --

Luke: Watch it, Fellini. My dark side is way darker than his.

Skye: Lorenzo's intense, mysterious. He takes charge. He knows exactly what I need. What can I say? I was powerless to resist.

Edward: I have got such a headache.

Skye: What was I supposed to do, eat my heart out over you? You love Tracy. I mean, you must -- you married her.

Lorenzo: Romance aside, I'm really here to call a board meeting.

Edward: He doesn't have any right to call a board meeting.

Lorenzo: With all due respect, my 30% stake in E.L.Q. trumps your opinion. I believe it's time to select a new C.E.O.

Tracy: Hello. Don't everybody rush to my defense at once.

Edward: 30% or not, you don't call the shots.

Luke: Nobody blows my little spanky buns out of the corporate world without a fight from me. I mean, this means much too much to her.

Edward: No, no. It means too much to you. You only married her for her money.

Luke: Wrong, Edward. I married her for my money.

John: Were you in a car accident in 1995 which left you with substantial brain damage?

Jason: Yes.

John: And who was driving that car, Mr. Morgan?

Jason: A.J. Quartermaine was.

John: The deceased, who also happens to be your brother, is that right?

Jason: Yes, that's right.

John: And isn't it also a fact that as a result of that car accident and the subsequent brain damage that you lost all memory of your previous life, including your family?

Jason: Yes, I did.

John: Mr. Corinthos took you in. He employed you, became your best friend, and a father figure, if you will.

Jason: Yeah, I guess you can say --

Justus: Your honor, is there a point to this history lesson at all?

Judge: Let's get on with it, Mr. Durant.

John: Yes, your honor. Mr. Morgan, wasn't it you who took Michael Corinthos from his biological father, your brother by blood, and delivered him to the defendant?

Jason: That's -- that's not how it happened, actually.

John: Don't you -- don't you have every reason in the world to lie for Sonny Corinthos?

Jason: I don't need to lie.

John: I have no more use for this witness.

Judge: Mr. Morgan, you may step down.

Jason: Thank you.

Justus: Sonny, I don't have a choice. I need to put you on that stand, but that means giving Durant a clear shot at you.

Sonny: I'm not afraid of him, Justus.

Justus: But you should be.

Nikolas: I made everything worse.

Elizabeth: No, you don't know that.

Nikolas: You didn't see her in there, Elizabeth. I finally understand why she can't stand for me to touch her. Oh, my God -- the things that he did to her. And I can't believe that I made her relive it. I'm as bad as he is.

Elizabeth: No, no. Nikolas, everything you did was out of love.

Nikolas: No.

Elizabeth: Don't doubt that.

Nikolas: No, you don't say the kind of things that I said to a person you love. I was terrible to her. She started hitting me, told me how much she hated me.

Elizabeth: Yeah, but it wasn't you. It was Connor.

Nikolas: But she doesn't see the difference, Elizabeth. She looks at me and goes right back to the pain she felt with him.

Elizabeth: You really, really need to talk to Dr. Winters again, ok?

Nikolas: No, I can't be a constant reminder of Emilyís worst nightmare. Ok? She just needs peace. I have to let her go.

Elizabeth: No, Nikolas, donít.

Nikolas: She's curled up in there on the floor, and I did that to her.

Emily: You know, it felt good to say those things, like I could be in control again instead of Connor.

Louise: That's a great beginning, Emily.

Emily: You know, for the first time since I was raped, I actually believe that there's a way to get past this. You know, it's going to take time, but there's hope. Nikolas gave me that.

Edward: Luke didn't marry Tracy for his money because he doesn't have any.

Monica: If you put this family at risk again, Tracy --

Tracy: Oh, my goodness, nobody has stopped to consider the way I protect E.L.Q.

[Lorenzo whistles]

Lorenzo: No wonder this company's in such a shambles. This is a joke.

Tracy: Excuse me. We have just had a reversal of fortune.

Lorenzo: Well, it's too little, too late. As majority stockholder, I'm calling a board meeting for the first week in June. You'll all receive official notice, and before the minutes are typed, someone competent will be in charge, and that would be me.

Skye: Oh, Lorenzo? Dear, did you forget something?

Skye: Mmm!

Lorenzo: I won't make that mistake again.

Skye: Ok.

John: Mr. Corinthos, isn't it a fact that you confessed to the murder of A.J. Quartermaine?

Sonny: Yeah.

John: Why'd you confess?

Sonny: To save my son.

John: Save him?

Sonny: He'd been through enough. I didn't want to drag him into court, you know, so he could testify about some nightmare he had about his mother.

John: Nightmare?

Sonny: Yeah.

John: You mean it wasn't real?

Sonny: It was a dream.

John: Mr. Corinthos, did you kill A.J. Quartermaine?

Sonny: No, I did not.

John: But you hated the man for what he did to your son, right?

Sonny: Yes, I did.  Yes, I did, right.

John: And what did the victim do to warrant such hatred?

Sonny: There are so many things to list. I can't even -- you know, I'll be here all day doing that.

John: Oh, please. Try.

Judge: Answer the question, Mr. Corinthos.

Sonny: A.J. Quartermaine hired Faith Rosco to kidnap Michael, my other son, Morgan, and my daughter, Kristina. They're just babies. I don't even like talking about this because it's such a -- A.J. drugged Michael, dragged him into a swamp, put fake blood on him, took a picture of him, sent it to us so we would think that our son was dead. And if that's not enough, he lied to Michael, brainwashed him into thinking that we didn't love him anymore or we didn't want him anymore.

John: Oh. That wasn't true?

Sonny: No.

John: Oh, what a horrible thing to do to a little boy, not to mention his family. More than enough motive for murder, I would say.

Sonny: I didn't kill A.J.

John: Did you ever kill anyone else?

Justus: Objection, your honor! Mr. Corinthos has never been convicted of a felony! Mr. Durant is well aware of this!

John: I didn't ask if he had been convicted, your honor.

Judge: I'll allow it.

John: Have you ever killed anyone, Sonny?

Sonny: Yeah -- a man named Joe Scully. But the police agreed that it was self-defense and never pressed any charges against me.

John: Ooh, how convenient.

Justus: Objection!

Judge: Sustained. You know better, Mr. Durant. Get to where you're going.

John: Yes -- I'm sorry, your honor. Have you ever heard of a man named Armando Sandoval?

Justus: Objection, your honor!

Judge: I'll allow it.

Sonny: Yeah, he was in the -- he was in the paper a few weeks ago.

John: Hernando Rivera?

Justus: Objection, your honor!

Please! I mean, what's the point?

Judge: I'll allow it.

Sonny: Hernando -- he was my father-in-law. He was the decent one.

John: Charles Rosco, Phillip Santiago, Carlos Ramirez --

Justus: Objection, your honor!

John: The list goes on!

Justus: Your honor, please, please, your honor!

Judge: Get on with it, Mr. Durant.

Justus: All the people on this list have one thing in common, didn't they, Mr. Corinthos? They all crossed paths with you and they all died a violent death. Isn't that true?

Sonny: It's a dangerous world. Accidents happen, Durant.

John: Oh, accidents, yes. Accidents, yes, but gunshots, strangulation, explosions -- some of them just disappeared into thin air. So answer me this -- do you think that the person who killed every single name on that last had as much motive as you had to kill A.J. Quartermaine?

Justus: Your honor, I object!

Sam: Oh, come on.

Justus: I object, your honor!

[Gallery reacts]

Justus: Objection!

Judge: Quiet! I'll have order in my courtroom right now. Objection sustained.

John: I have no further questions.

Judge: Redirect, Mr. Ward?

Justus: I'll ask you one last time, Mr. Corinthos. Did you kill A.J. Quartermaine?

Carly: They don't believe him.

Edward: Hold it right there.

Tracy: Oh. Well, are you planning on taking pictures of me and selling them to the tabloids so you can make a buck?

Edward: Get over yourself, will you? It's a way to get rid of that embarrassment of a husband. You catch Luke and Skye en flagrant, and, voila, you have a divorce.

Tracy: Huh.

Skye: Why, he thinks he can make me jealous? Ha! Can't get to me. It's not worth two seconds of my time.

Luke: Is it true that women find married men irresistible?

John: Everyone in this courtroom has heard of Sonny Corinthos. Born in Bensonhurst, high school dropout, a boy who started out with nothing and now heads up an empire -- casinos up and down the eastern seaboard, owning half the waterfront. So how does a kid who started out with nothing become king? His lawyer -- he'll tell you that he's never been convicted of so much as jaywalking. Questioned in no less than 12 murders, dozens of shootings, warehouse explosions, not to mention RICO violations and tax evasion -- not once, not one single time has Sonny Corinthos ever been convicted of one single thing. You want to know his secret? Sonny Corinthos is a cold-blooded, ruthless gangster who keeps layers of people between himself and the crimes he commits. And in this trial, like every other one of his trials, they lie for him, they twist the truth, and they value loyalty to a mobster over justice. Time after time, Sonny Corinthos slips through the system and he gets away with murder. Well, this time let's expose the man for what he really is -- a thug in a thousand-dollar suit, a cold-blooded killer. Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I ask you today to stand up, I ask you to have courage, and I ask you to value justice -- a magnificent system that we have in place to protect you from people like him. I ask you to put aside his sob story, put away his crocodile tears, and I ask you to put Sonny Corinthos in prison where he belongs once and for all.

Elizabeth: Hey, Em.

Emily: Hey.

Elizabeth: Hi. Are you ok?

Emily: Yeah, yeah. I'm kind of -- kind of wrung out, but I'm good. Have you seen Nikolas? Didn't he wait?

Elizabeth: Em, it was really tough on him to see what it did to you and to hear all the things you said to him and --

Emily: But -- I was saying those things to Connor. I mean, Nikolas knew that. It was the whole point.

Elizabeth: I know, I know. But, you see, he realizes now that it was -- why it's so hard for you to be around him.

Emily: Oh, God, what Nikolas did was amazing. I have to tell him how much he helped me.

Emily: Nikolas, it's me. Nikolas, pick up, please. Listen, if you're there, I really need to talk to you. Nikolas, please pick up.

Judge: Mr. Ward, your closing?

Ric: Mr. Ward, your honor, I beg the court's indulgence. As co-prosecutor, I feel compelled to add my own summation.

Judge: It's fine with me.

Justus: I have no objections, your honor.

Ric: You haven't heard much from me during this trial. Mr. Corinthos and I are half brothers. We're not close. As a matter of fact, up until three years ago, he didn't even know that I existed. But to avoid the appearance of conflict, I allowed Mr. Durant to take the lead on this case. It pains me to say this, but much of what you have heard about Sonny from Mr. Durant is indeed true. Sonny Corinthos is perfectly capable of killing almost anyone to protect his children. No doubt about it. But he didn't kill A.J. Quartermaine.

Sonny: Ric, Ric, Ric, Ric --

[Judge pounds gavel]

Judge: Quiet!

Sonny: Don't -- don't -- you don't want to do this.

Ric: The truth has got to come out, Sonny.

Judge: Order in this court!

[Judge pounds gavel]

>> On the next "General Hospital" --

Tracy: It is your job to get a picture of him cheating.

Skye: What are you doing here?

Luke: I've decided to commit adultery.

Ned: Are you sure you're ready to get married to her?

Judge: Take your seat.

Carly: We got to stop Ric from telling about Michael.

Ric: We're here because we need to uncover the truth.
