Courtney: I was feeling so scared and hopeless. Then you brought me up here, took care of me, managed to make me believe that everything was going to be all right.

Jax: It will be.

[Phone rings]

Courtney: Maybe it's news about the kidnapping. Hello?

Bridget: Courtney? It's me, Bridget.

Courtney: Bridget, are you all right?

Bridget: I made a huge mistake and I'm in major trouble. I need to get out of town before the cops find out.

Jason: Are they sure that the blood's Michael's?

Reese: Yes. But the sample is relatively small, so it could've come from a cut or a scrape. But there's also a chance that the shot Sonny heard over the phone was real and Faith fired at Michael.

Sonny: Looks like she's being revived.

Carly: I never thought I would pray for the day that I wanted Faith Rosco to live.

Sonny: As long as she lives long enough to tell us where the children are, she can go straight back to hell where she belongs.

Carly: I'm sure Michael gave her a run for her money.

Sonny: He's a resourceful kid.

Carly: Sonny, it amazes me. It amazes me that he had the presence of mind to do all the things that he did. You know, leaving us clues, stealing a cell phone to call you? He's more like you every day. He's willful. He's relentless. He's always trying to figure out the odds.

Sonny: He's just like his mother, you know? Never gives up. His mind starts clicking, right, working out schemes for getting what he wants.

Carly: That's why I know he's ok and the other kids are ok. You know, he's not a typical 9-year-old. He's not.

Doctor: Ms. Rosco's vitals have stabilized.

Sonny: How soon can I speak to her, Doctor?

Doctor: We don't know when she'll regain consciousness. In fact, it's possible she never will.

Courtney: Oh, Jax, I am so sorry I had to ruin our romantic getaway.

Jax: No, I don't consider it ruined. It's just interrupted.

Courtney: Really? You're being so understanding.

Jax: Why not?

Courtney: Well, I mean, normally, you get upset when I go rushing off to help people.

Jax: Well, maybe I've just accepted it's a part of who you are. You know, some people are shop-aholics and some people are workaholics, and you're a help-aholic.

Courtney: I suppose that's one way to look at it.

Jax: You're a very kind person. That's what I love about you.

Courtney: Ok. Fess up. What changed?

Jax: Oh, that's simple. You agreed to marry me.

Courtney: Oh, ok. So you're just trying to stay on my good side until we tie the knot?

Jax: Well, that's part of it.

Courtney: And?

Jax: Well, you're not using your compassion to help others to keep me at a distance. You're an amazing woman, you know that? I'm very, very proud that you're going to be my wife.

Elizabeth: Oh, you are so busted.

Lucky: I am just sitting here quietly like a model patient.

Elizabeth: I don't believe for a second that any doctor or staff let you out of that bed this soon. You had to have conned Emily, didn't you?

Lucky: I called in a favor.

Elizabeth: Lucky, no, you can't do that! Come on, if something -- if you push yourself too hard and something happens, I don't think Emily would be able to handle it, ok? She has enough to deal with already.

Lucky: I promised Em and I'm promising you, I am fine.

Elizabeth: All right. Fine, fine. You know what? Just please be careful, because if something were to happen, I don't think I could handle it, all right? It's been a really rough few weeks.

Lucky: How's Cam? Is he ok?

Elizabeth: Yeah. Oh, Cam, he's fine. He's just my little blessing.

Lucky: What has got you so upset?

Elizabeth: There's no point in dredging up the pain over something that can't be changed, right?

Lucky: Liz, whatever it is, you can tell me.

Elizabeth: I just found out that Faith Rosco was the one who pushed me down the stairs at Ryce Plaza. She's the reason I miscarried Ric's baby.

Jason: What do you got?

Reese: Just got an update on the tire tracks. They're fairly new Perry 352 radials, which is brand most commonly used in fleet or rental cars. So I've got my people working on it now, identifying and looking for cars with Perry tires that have recently been rented or sold.

Sam: What about the shovel?

Reese: Faith's fingerprints are on the shovel. That's why she was covered in mud.

Jason: Faith -- Faith must have been digging in the swamp.

Reese: Well, I told the sheriff to bring out the search dogs.

Carly: You know Faith's been shot before. She's going to regain consciousness, Sonny.

Sonny: She better be. Oh, you decided to come?

Ric: We wanted to be here when the children were found.

Carly: I thought you were supposed to be on bed rest.

Alexis: Dr. Meadows gave me permission to go.

Ric: So I gather there was some kind of a shootout at the church?

Alexis: How's Faith?

Sonny: She's still unconscious.

Ric: Any more news on the children?

Sonny: They'd been at the church and they were gone by the time we got there.

Alexis: Any leads?

Carly: There's tire tracks. Tire tracks and the phone call that Michael made to Sonny.

Alexis: He called you?

Sonny: He called me on a cell phone. I heard a gunshot, and then the line went out.

Alexis: Oh, god.

Ric: You still don't know what happened?

Sonny: Well, I think it was just, you know, Faith playing mind games, trying to torment us.

Ric: That's been her whole plan from the start, Sonny.

Sonny: Well, you know --

Carly: Alexis, maybe you should sit down.

Alexis: Ok. Listen, Sonny's theory makes a lot of sense. I really believe that Michael's alive.

Carly: Of course he is. They all are. They all are.

Alexis: That's good. I admire your certainty.

Carly: Look, Alexis, who's ever working with Faith and who's holding the children, they're waiting for orders. Nothing's going to happen to them while she's unconsciousness.

Ric: I owe you an apology for setting this whole thing in motion.

Sonny: Where do you get that, Ric?

Ric: I played Faith for my own purposes, Sonny. Come on, I used her, I turned on her. Ultimately, it led to all of this. Faith took Kristina first. She's my niece. She's my stepdaughter. Her rage has been directed at me.

Sonny: Faith didn't take Michael and Morgan to get back at you, Ric.

Ric: I know that, Sonny, but she did all this, started it because of me.

Sonny: She's a nut case. She's been that way way before you laid eyes on her. She killed her grandmother, for god's sakes. She threatened all three of us -- you, me, and Alexis. You heard her on the way to Pentonville. She was going to tear all our hearts out, one by one? This is no more your fault than it is mine.

Elizabeth: I just can't stop thinking that I had another baby inside of me that never got the chance to grow, a baby that never got the chance to be born. You know, I can't do this. I can't think about what could've been. It didn't happen. I just need to let it go.

Lucky: Hey, hey, listen --

Elizabeth: Oh, god, Lucky.

Lucky: Hey, you suffered a terrible loss, and you finally find out. You are allowed to be upset.

Elizabeth: So maybe I should think about it? Maybe I should work through my feelings and all of my anger? But I don't want to get stuck there, you know, because I have a good life now. I have a great job, I have Cameron. And the truth is I wouldn't change anything that's happened, because it's all led up to me being his mom.

Lucky: You are so amazing. Hey. You stay focused on what's important. What matters is, is what is right in front of us.

Elizabeth: Just keep reminding me of that, ok?

Lucky: Only if you promise to do the same for me.

[Phone rings]

Jax: How serious is the emergency?

Rachel: Wow, I didn't know E.S.P. was one of your talents.

Jax: Rachel?

Rachel: Let me guess -- you were expecting Courtney.

Jax: Yeah, she had to leave for some troubled teen crisis.

Rachel: Oh, that explains why I can't get her on the phone. I've tried to call her, like, a million times.

Jax: Why, is there a problem?

Rachel: Well, actually, there is. It's a personal emergency. It's kind of embarrassing, though. It's very real.

Jax: Well, I'm sorry to hear that.

Rachel: Oh, gosh. You know, Jax, I hate to impose, but is there any way I could get you over here? I'm at Courtney's loft.

Jax: Sure. I'll be over right away.

Rachel: Oh, thank you so much.

Skye: Justus. How are you feeling?

Justus: Better. Michael, Morgan, and Kristina haven't been found. But Faith's been shot. She's unconscious in a Louisiana hospital.

Skye: She's the only one who knows where the children are.

Justus: Yeah. The F.B.I.'s been called in. They've called in forensics and every other expert you can think of.

Skye: Somehow, that's not very comforting.

Justus: For me, either.

Skye: Justus, I'm telling you, I've been hiding from this since I heard about it on the news. I can only think about it for five minutes at a time before I have to shut it down because I can't stand to think about the worst happening.

Luke: Justus. Your message said it was urgent. Hi.

Justus: I want you to know that I'm planning on confessing to the police that I helped Faith escape prison.

Sam: Hey, I know -- I know it's hard to sit and wait, but I am sure that we're going to hear good news soon. They're going to find that car and they're going to find the kids, all three of them, Jason. Look, I know you're worried about the shovel, but just because Faith was digging, it doesn't mean that the kids aren't going to be all right.

Jason: You're right. Ahem. You're right. It could be anything.

Sam: Look, I know this sounds silly, but I really believe in positive thinking. There have been times when I have been in an impossible situation and I would tell myself over and over again that everything would be all right and I'd get out of it, and -- and I did. So maybe if you just kept telling yourself that Michael was going to be ok and stop focusing on the worst -- just think about Michael, Jason. Think about what an amazing, strong kid he is. Just tell yourself he's going to be ok.

Reese: The tires were a type most commonly found on rental or fleet vehicles, so we're looking into that now.

Alexis: Did you find any footprints near the tire tracks?

Reese: Yes. A size seven toddler footprint.

Alexis: Ok, so -- so, obviously, Kristina might've been led from the church to the car.

Reese: Right, we're assuming that she was led and Morgan was carried from the rear exit of the church to the car.

Carly: And what about Michael?

Reese: There's D.N.A. evidence to indicate that he was at the church, also.

Sonny: What kind of D.N.A. Evidence?

Reese: A small amount of blood, Sonny.

Carly: From the gunshot?

Reese: Well, the amount indicates a minor wound, like a scrape or a cut, so it's too small for a bullet wound.

Sonny: What about the shovel? Has it been analyzed for prints?

Reese: Faith's prints are on the shovel. We have search dogs surrounding the area of the church right now, so --

[Phone rings]

Reese: Excuse me for a second. Hello? Sheriff Baker. Any news yet? Ok. Thank you.

Sonny: What?

Reese: Sheriff Baker thinks that he might have found a grave.

Jax: Rachel?

Rachel: I'm in the bathroom! Hurry, please!   I would ask you to close your eyes, but then you wouldn't be able to help me.

Bridget: Are you sure I won't be arrested for stealing the drugs?

Courtney: Bridget, I'll take care of everything, all right? It'll be ok.

Bridget: Thank you so much, Courtney. I just feel like such an idiot.

Courtney: Are you sure you didn't take any? Because if so, now's the time to tell me.

Bridget: No, I didn't, I swear.

Courtney: All right, why did you steal them?

Bridget: I don't know. I just wasn't thinking straight. I was so mad, I guess I just felt like doing something crazy.

Courtney: Bridget, what were you so angry about?

Bridget: The usual. My grandmother's so unfair. I called her and I said I wanted to see my baby, and she said she'd be bringing her in tonight for a checkup. So I waited for hours -- no Rita. It turns out she'd deliberately given me the wrong date. I just lost it. I -- I just grabbed the drugs off the cart and took off. I mean, I was thinking to myself, "what am I doing," but I was too afraid to return them. What if somebody saw me? I could get busted for possession or something.

Courtney: Bridget, what aren't you telling me?

Bridget: That's pretty much the whole story.

Courtney: Look, I want to help. I'm just a little surprised --

Steven: Hey, Courtney.

Courtney: Hi.

Steven: You sounded urgent on the phone. What can I do to help?

Courtney: Yeah, thank you for coming, Steven. Bridget? We need to return these.

Steven: Yeah.

Justus: I trusted Faith, and I shouldn't have.

Luke: "I trusted Faith Rosco." There's a phrase you don't hear every day.

Justus: She was different when I first knew her. She was warm, compassionate, capable of genuine love.

Skye: Whoa, wait a minute. Now you've lost me, too. The only Faith I've ever known has been a psycho, but even I didn't think she'd be sick enough to go after someone's kids.

Justus: Once I'm discharged from the hospital, I plan on making a full confession of my part in helping Faith escape.

Luke: Justus, what is that going achieve?

Justus: Don't worry, I'm not going to expose you or Skye. But I will have to admit that you were frauds who helped her escape.

Luke: I repeat -- what is that supposed to achieve?

Justus: I have to live with my conscience, ok? I'm guilty and I need to tell the truth.

Luke: Oh, he'll rethink that once the drugs wear off and he realizes he's looking at eight to 15 for aiding and abetting.

Skye: Yuck. Eight years in prison sounds terrible, but walking around with the guilt sounds even worse.

Luke: What?

Skye: Now, Luke, I promise I won't incriminate you, but do you think I should confess my part in Faith's getaway, too?

Alexis: If they found Kristina's footprints, it must mean that she's alive.

Ric: We don't know what happened yet, ok?

Alexis: Faith is capable of doing anything. Do you think that she hurt Michael?

Ric: I don't know. Carly's strong, but I don't know any -- any parent who can endure the loss of a child. Carly would sooner dive into that grave herself than find out that it was dug for Michael.

Lorenzo: Hey. Take a break.

Carly: You know, Michael must have -- he must've put up a fight when they wanted him to go from the church. They probably had to carry him kicking and screaming to the car.

Lorenzo: Which would explain why his footprints weren't found.

Carly: Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. Exactly. And the amount of blood that they found -- Reese said it was from a minor wound, so he must have gotten a scrape or something when he was fighting back. Faith's keeping him alive. She is, I know it.

Lorenzo: Yeah, Faith wants control over Sonny. Having the kids gives her that.

Carly: Hmm, people bury pets around here all the time. You know, I'm sure there's going to be a dog or something in that grave.

Lorenzo: It could be anything.

Carly: Michael's alive. I can feel it. There's no way he's in that grave.

Sonny: Give me that.

Reese: Is this all you found?

Officer: Yes, ma'am.

Sonny: It's not a grave! It's a hole in the ground!

Officer: Whoever dug that hole intended to bury someone or something.

Sonny: We don't know what the hole is for!

Jason: Faith's fingerprints were on the shovel, Sonny.

Sonny: So what? We know she plays games! My son's not here! He's alive!

Sonny: T-- tell them! Tell that this isn't a grave!

Jason: Sonny, Faith was out here for a reason.

Sonny: So what does that mean? We can't be guessing about what's going on here. Faith's a psychopath, right? We don't know what she's going to do next. My son is still alive.

Steven: Everybody makes mistakes.

Bridget: Yeah, well, this is kind of a big one.

Steven: Well, you've owned up to it, and that suggests a certain maturity.

Bridget: Well, I really hope the head of staff or whatever sees it that way.

Steven: I'm going to make sure these find their way back to the meds cart, and there will be no questions asked.

Bridget: Thanks.

Courtney: Thank you. I really -- I appreciate this.

Steven: Well, I figure kids in your foundation deserve a second chance, right?

Courtney: Right.

Steven: You know, I have to say, you've been helping so many children and kids with this foundation. You're a very generous person. And it's not just with kids. Rachel shows up in town, needs support, needs friendship. You were kind enough to give it to her.

Courtney: Yeah, well, I mean, it seems like you guys are becoming friends again, too.

Steven: It's still too early to tell.

Courtney: You know, Rachel hasn't -- she hasn't told me much about your breakup. If you don't mind my asking, what happened? Did you just drift apart?

Steven: It's complicated.

Courtney: I'm sorry. Am I getting too personal?

Steven: No, it's not too personal. It's that I'm not proud of some of my actions.

Courtney: So, what, you left Rachel and she was hurt?

Steven: Well, see, no, she wasn't. Most people in her situation would've been bitter. But she's not the type of person to bear a grudge.

Courtney: But what kind of a grudge?

Steven: Rachel and I were residents in med school. A mistake was made during a surgical procedure and the patient's life was lost. Rachel and I were equally culpable, but she stepped forward and took all of the blame.

Courtney: Well, that was her choice.

Steven: I didn't stop her. And after that incident, my career prospered and hers was almost ruined.

Courtney: "Almost"?

Steven: I was worried that the losses were going to destroy her, but Rachel's obviously too determined and driven to let that happen. She's done an amazing job of getting back on track.

Courtney: Yeah, well, I mean, it seems like her career has recovered, but emotionally, it may take longer for --

Steven: Ok, why are you saying that? Has she said anything to you?

Courtney: No, no, not exactly. I mean, you know her better than I do.

Steven: I think Rachel's doing great. She told me she's put the past behind her, looking to the future.

Courtney: Good. I'm glad to hear it.

Steven: Rachel's not the kind of person to allow any sort of defeat. She's already here at General Hospital. She's doing fantastically. I couldn't be happier for her.

Courtney: Me, too. But, you know, it might be nice if --

Alan: Steven? I'd like to have a word with you.

Courtney: Well, I'm --

Alan: Alone.

Courtney: Excuse me.

Alan: I'd like you to examine the forensic evidence that was found in the hotel room where A.J. was stabbed.

Steven: Is there anything in particular you'd like me to look at?

Alan: I'd like you to find my son's killer. And I think that the evidence is going to point straight at Courtney.

Jax: There we go. That should lube it up a bit. I'm not hurting you, am I?

Rachel: Even if you were, I'm too embarrassed to notice.

Jax: In a couple of days, you'll be laughing about this.

Rachel: I will just remember how charming and gallant you are.

Jax: Well, let's save the compliments. I haven't freed your toe yet.

Rachel: Jax, you got me out of the tub, you took off the faucet, all without even looking at my naked body. If that isn't gallant, I don't know what is.

Jax: Yep. There we go!

Rachel: Ooh.

Jax: Now you're free to roam around in your three-inch pumps again.

Rachel: Thank you. Really, I can't thank you enough.

Jax: Ok.

Sonny: You think Faith was digging this grave for Michael, and when she heard the cops, she stopped and she threw his body in the swamp?

Sam: That's not what Jason --

Sonny: That's what he believes!

Jason: The cops and the feds are still looking, Sonny.

Sonny: For how long, Jason? Until they decide that he can't be found because his body's at the bottom of a swamp?

Reese: No, Sonny, we're not giving up.

Sonny: Michael's alive! But if you don't believe it and you don't believe it and the sheriffs don't believe it, they're not going to search for my son as hard as they should!

Reese: Sonny!

Sonny: Every second counts now! This is urgent!

Reese: We're aware of that.

Sonny: Yeah, well, then somebody's got to do something about it! You know Michael better than anybody. He's a fighter. He doesn't give up. He's not gone. He's not dead! Say it, Jason. He's alive! You're wrong. He's out there somewhere fighting for his life, s, he's got to keep on fighting until we bring him home!

Carly: No news is good news. You know, Sonny would've called. He would've called us if they'd found a grave.

Alexis: I'm absolutely sure that you're right.

Carly: It just proves that that shovel was used for something else. The kids are alive.

Lorenzo: Mother's instinct is a powerful thing.

Alexis: According to the F.B.I. update, they believe that Michael had several chances to escape, but he didn't. He stayed, they believe, to protect Morgan and Kristina.

Carly: Yeah, Michael never would leave his brother and sister.

Alexis: No, he wouldn't. And he didn't. He risked his life in order to protect them. I mean, how many children would do that? How many people would do that? He's an amazing boy. He's an amazing boy and he's very courageous.

Carly: Yeah.

Alexis: You should be very proud of him.

Carly: I am. And he deserves the credit. He is very loving. He's very thoughtful. And he's fiercely loyal to those that he loves and cares about. He's been an amazing person since the day he was born.

Alexis: I'm so glad that he stayed to protect my daughter.

Carly: You can thank him yourself, ok? You can thank him when the kids are found.

Alexis: It'll be all right. I just wish that she would wake up.

Carly: Well, she'd better or I'm going in there and shake her awake.

[Phone rings]

Ric: Hello? Great. Great. All right, keep me informed. That was the F.B.I.

Alan: What is it?

Ric: A rental car with the tires matching the prints found at the church was just turned in to the airport.

Luke: I don't see sodium pentothal dripping out of your arm. You are not going to go confess to breaking Faith out of prison.

Skye: Oh, yeah, I think I should.

Luke: Oh, I think you shouldn't.

Skye: Hey, Luke, I will not incriminate you, ok, I promise.

Luke: Wait a minute! You calling me a coward again? Are we back to that?

Skye: No, I'm not calling you anything. This isn't about you. This is about those kids that are in the hands of a psychopath all because I wanted my freedom.

Luke: Oh, shut up. That had nothing to do with it.

Skye: Well, excuse me. I was there, too, you know.

Luke: Ok, so you were there. You're going to turn yourself in for being there, and that's going to do, what, free the kids, hook the psycho? It will do absolutely nothing. It's a pointless exercise in pointlessness.

Skye: Listen, those kids are in mortal danger, all because I wanted my freedom. I could've left the country. I could've waited for you to go get me exonerated. But did I do that? No, and now we set a psycho loose on the streets instead.

Luke: Yeah, and I could've been the first man to walk around the world, but I'd have drowned.

Skye: That woman has killed before, Luke, lord knows how many times. She tried to kill Jax, too. I knew what we were dealing with. But did that stop me? No. I knew she was a wacko, so now I have to answer for it, ok?

Luke: And again, what is that going to achieve? Is it going to free the kids? It's absolutely stupid, what you're talking about!
